Owl House Season 2 Episode 2 - Escaping Expulsion

Up next, while Eda and Lilith are learning more about Glyph magic, Luke makes a triumphant return to Hexside and reunites with his friends, only for it to be cut short when Amity's mother, Odalia Blight forces Principal Bump to expel Luke, Willow, and Gus, feeling Amity's friendship with them, especially Luke is making her harder to control. With his friends grounded and no other option, Luke has no choice but to make a deal with the tyrannical matriarch to Escape Expulsion but ends up dealing with more than he bargained for. It's up to Amity to save her crush and stand up to her mother. Can she, do it? Let's find out!

To answer some questions:

Neon Starch - Sorry. Lilith will still be leaving in the fourth episode. But, she will have more dialogue and appearances. She'll even appear in a couple of my original episodes. And I will find some way to have her come to terms with her curse. Maybe in Season 3.

Guest - No. Odalia will not have a change of heart. She'll be just as delusional. She doesn't deserve redemption. Only suffering and humiliation.

There's going to be references to a couple shows this episode. Try to guess which ones.

By the way, I have some ideas for designs for Aelita. I have a couple characters I'm considering basing her design from. Which would you recommend I base Aelita from:

Danny Phantom – Sam Mason

Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V – Zuzu Boyle

Loud House – Sam Sharp

Keep in mind, she will have black hair, no matter who I pick. If you have other suggestions I'm interested to hear them.

Odalia Blight, a woman with a curvaceous build contrasted by the sharp features on her face. She had tufted hair similar to Amity's but is two-toned bright green, similar to Edric's and Emira's dark green hair, with a lighter streak across the top. Unlike her children, she had blue eyes. Her hairstyle is reminiscent of a Roman nodus. She wears a violet blouse with a white petticoat that has a three interlocking orb pattern, navy trousers and grey heeled boots. She accessorizes with a necklace with a pink, oval gem that matches the one Amity wears, purple lipstick, and golden earrings. Amity, Edric and Emira's mother.

Alador Blight, a pale-skinned man who had a dishevelled look, unkempt hair with sideburns, hairy arms, and a stubble. He has golden eyes and brown hair like his Amity's roots. He was dressed in a dark grey lab coat covered in stains from abominations, light grey pants with black boots which are also stained and wears golden goggles with purple lenses on his head. Furthermore, he has the Abomination symbol on his right arm, symbolizing his allegiance to the Abomination coven. Amity, Edric and Emira's father.

Both are in a partnership with Blight industries in which Odalia leads and tonight was about presenting their newest creation to a crowd of investors: the Abomaton Soldier. Amity's job was to make it look good by letting it beat her. And ever since becoming friends with Luke and the Petrification ceremony events, she is in hot water with her parents, mainly her cruel and abusive mother. Not that Amity cares since she has no love for her mother.

Odalia: "Momma to Mittens. Remember our deal. Make this look good and we'll forgive your recent lackluster performance at school. And the fact that you almost made us enemies out of the Emperor's Coven."

Amity: Amity sighs. Yes, Mom.

Everything was going well, and it looked like Amity would be in the clear…until the Abomaton Soldier was about to stomp on Amity's Grom photo with Luke, Willow, and Gus, prompting her to quickly and effortlessly destroy it much to the disappointment of the investors who immediately take their leave. Odalia quickly tries to smooth things over as Amity tries to pick up her Grom photo.

Odalia: Oh, of course, w-well that was b-but a beta test. We can't wait to see you all next week when we reveal the uh...the finished product in all its glory! She angrily turns to her daughter who stood with the photo in hand. Amity! You just lost us a lot of money! What's with you lately?!

Amity stares longingly at the picture with a warm smile, especially the part where Luke has his arm wrapped around her. Odalia could now see what's going on.

Odalia: I see. Looks like our precious mittens has been getting... distracted.

Amity's friends, especially the human boy is causing Odalia to lose grip over her daughter, something she'll try to put an end to.

Owl House Season 2A Intro

The eye of the old portal door opens, engulfed in flames.

Luke drops down with Rebellion and a Glyph Gun, giving his gun a spin and swung his sword as it opens, releasing electricity while he grins.

Eda slides in from her right, spinning her Owl Staff and swinging to release energy. King pops up from her.

Willow emerges and lifts her arms as her eyes glow, summoning huge vines behind.

Gus comes in with a book, summoning two illusions of himself striking poses besides him.

Amity twirls in from her right and with a grin her hands glow with purple energy, summoning Abomination goo.

Lilith slides in from the left, spinning her Raven Staff and swinging to release energy like Eda did. Hooty pops out from her clock backpack.

The Golden Guard flash steps from the left with his Artificial staff which glows with energy. It disappears for him to draw and swing Yamato, striking a pose and releasing a blade of energy.

A Boiling Isle mural appears, three windows flipping to briefly reveal Qrow, Darius and Eberwolf. The windows flip to reveal Qrow in his Devil Form, Darius in his Abomination form and Eberwolf in his Beast form.

Belos appears striking a powerful pose, his castle behind him as lightning strikes

Luke rode on Eda's staff like a surfboard, zooming past Bonesborough, flying past Tinella Nosa, sharing a high-five with Gus, Willow being beside him with a plant releasing vines and evading guards that chase him down. Eda and King join in on the fun and they have blast taking to the skies…until they hang on for dear life as a massive monstrous worm-like monster, mouth wide open, lunges at them as they scream in horror.

Then the scene changes back to the Owl House, where it's night-time, and stars twinkle in the sky as the trio are on the roof and looking up into the sky, Eda holding her staff beside her, Luke holding Rebellion downward and King riding his shoulder. Luke opens a hand, sending a ball of light floating into the sky where it bursts to release a blinding flash.

The title card appears:

Owl House: Son of Sparda

Today was not only a new day but a special day as Hexside's break was about to come to an end. Luke was about to see Willow, Gus and Amity again. Ever since the petrification ceremony he hasn't been able to see them due to how busy he's been; not just doing odd jobs but also teaching Eda and Lilith everything he knows about Glyph Magic for the past 3 days.

Luke is in his uniform as Eda and Lilith sat at desks, the boy stood in front of a chalkboard. Hooty smashes his face into a steel bucket three times. Luke turns around epically activating his glyphs.

Luke: Light!

He releases orbs of light

Luke: Ice!

He releases a pillar of ice.

Luke: Water!

He releases a torrent of water.

Luke: Plant!

He releases vines from both hands.

Luke: Fire!

He releases a torrent of flames.

Luke: And Electricity!

He finishes up by sending lightning into the air.

Luke: You can accomplish all these and more with the awesome power of Glyph Magic! He fans out all 6 glyphs and presents them with a pose. Welcome to Day 3 of Luke's Glyph Magic Boot Camp.

Fire and Electric glyphs ignite on the ground near a sleeping King who screams and runs away. Lilith is cheering and clapping at Luke's showmanship while Eda is carving something into her desk. Luke removes a tarp, revealing the 6 glyphs drawn onto his chalkboard.

Luke: Okay ladies, we've covered every glyph I've learned up until now. So today, we'll learn something new.

Lilith: Are we about to encounter a never-before-seen glyph?

Luke: Nope. The 6 I know came from nature or another witch's spell. I've tried looking for more but with no luck. But don't worry, us humans are capable of improvising. I can't teach you a new Glyph so today we're going to learn how to alter glyphs to do specific things!

Lilith: Mister Teacher, did I do it right?

Lilith presents a diagram of Ice Glyphs.

Luke: Yeah! That's it! You nailed it Lilith! Keep this up and you'll be powerful again in no time. Lilith pumps her fists. Let's see how you're doing, Eda.

Eda has carved the Fire and Ice Glyphs overlapping together on the table like a Venn diagram much to Luke's concern.

Luke: Uh…whatever you're going to do, I wouldn't-

Eda: No duh, You wouldn't! Double glyph combo, go!

Eda slaps on the glyphs, they started flashing and then explode much to Eda's disappointment.

Eda: Oh dang, I was hoping more of an ice blast situation.

Luke: And no duh, you'd act without thinking! Look, Eda, I love your drive and I get you're obsessed with getting your powers back… He steps back gesturing to the board. …But try to master the basics before you start experimenting.

Eda: Ugh. You're as boring as Lily.

Hooty: Toot toot! The Hexside train is a-coming! Chugga-chugga!

Luke: School time. I'm gone. Lilith, you're in charge!

Lilith gives the thumbs up as she draws while an outraged Eda bolts up.

Eda: What?! This is my house!

Luke: And she's your big sister. You should follow her example. I'm sure she can handle getting her glyphs done while babysitting.

Eda's face reddened and eyes widened in shock knowing what he means by "babysitting". Hooty and King snickered indicating they knew too. She clutches her desk, annoyed.

Eda: I'd appreciate it if you could reconsider. I don't need babysitting. I'll have you know I'm a mature adult. All four stare at her sceptically. I'm an adult.

King: That's debatable.

Lilith: Yes, with each day passing by, it's hard to tell which of you is the adult and the child.

Eda: Eda sat down with a pout; her arms crossed. What is this, "Pick on Eda Day?"

Luke: Fine. King can be in charge.

Edia is further outraged by this choice.

Eda: WHAT!? King!? You're putting King in charge now!? He's-!

Luke: Hooty, get me out of here!

Hooty: On it!

Hooty picks up Luke by his cloak.

Luke: Lilith, if Eda's about to burn the house down, make her beg for help. King, you're in charge. Bye-eeeee!

Hooty drags Luke away and King gets up raising his fists.

King: Ha-ha! Power!

When Luke's out of sight Eda got up raising her fist, prepared to defy her student who is now her teacher.

Eda: Yes! Teacher's gone! Hah, I wonder what other combos I can try?

Lilith: Teacher said we're supposed to master the basics before—

Eda: Basics are so basic. Now if we want to be powerful again, we're gonna have to start thinking outside the box!

Lilith: If we want to be powerful again, we have to use glyphs perfectly! And we can only do that through "memorization", "repetition" and "following the rules".

Lilith held up flash cards with each word on the. Eda rudely slaps them out of her sister's hands.

Eda: Well, I'm more interested in "experimentation", "innovation" and uh…"laughing at tools"! Like you! Hah!

She walks away snorting and laughing much to Lilith's annoyance. This is just like when they were in Hexside.

Lilith: Ugh!

She stares down at King scratching himself, telling him he should deal with it since he's in charge.

King: Weh? Yeah, yeah. I'll deal with it. King walks off. No one ever said power came with responsibility.

Luke is stood in front of the doors of Hexside School of Magic and Demonics for the first time in 2 weeks.

Luke: Okay, Luke. First day back after the petrification ceremony. Nothing bad is gonna happen. Be cool.

Luke pushes the door open and sees a lot of other students, most of which he recognised walking around the halls for the first time in two weeks. They were either walking together or sharing a nice conversation…until they noticed Luke, causing them to stop in place. Luke stood in front of the door, feeling awkward from the stares he's receiving. He had a feeling this would be the welcome he'd get after the events of the Petrification Ceremony, especially revealing his devil form. Not sure what else to do he held up his hand with a sheepish look.

Luke: Uh…hi.

After a couple moments of awkward silence, the students surprise Luke by bursting with cheers and applause. Almost every student ran over to Luke, shaking his hand and patting him on the back. They shower him with compliments over how brave and amazing he was the Petrification and give him a hero's homecoming. Some girls even kiss him on the cheeks. Luke couldn't help but be surprised, he'd never get this kind of affection at his human school.

Viney: Luke!

Luke: Huh?

After the students finish welcoming back Luke, Viney rushed in to embrace him in a hug.

Viney: Ohmygosh, you're back! It's so good to see you!

Luke: Viney?

Jerbo: Luke, hey man!

Luke looks over to see Jerbo, Barcus, and Skara walking over to him.

Luke: Jerbo, Barcus?! Wait, and Skara?

Skara: Hi, Luke.

Viney pulls away, smiling sweetly.

Viney: Welcome back to Hexisde, Luke. We've really missed you.

Luke: Thanks, Viney. I've missed you guys too. I bet this place was as boring as hell without me to liven things up.

Jerbo: Yeah, things haven't exactly been as fun without you.

Skara: We've all been so worried about you ever since the Petrification Ceremony. All of us have.

Barcus: Woof, woof! (The people have longed to see their hero!)

Luke: For a moment, I thought people would be scared of me after seeing me go Devil.

Viney: No way! We could never be scared of you Luke. You fought against the entire emperor's coven to save Eda. It was so amazing to watch! And you were so brave!

Luke: Yeah, that's kind of my thing.

Jerbo: You even took on the emperor himself! That's crazy!

Luke: I get that a lot.

Luke looks ahead and frowns, prompting Viney, Jerbo, Barcus, and Skara to turn. Boscha is stood in front of them with her arms crossed and a glare aimed at Luke. The human boy walks up, staring the grudgby captain down, his friends worried this might get ugly.

Boscha: Well, if it isn't the freak of a human.

Luke: And if it isn't the cotton candy troll. Shouldn't you be hiding under a rock after Willow owned you in Grudgby and I humiliated you in battle…twice?

Boscha: Boscha gets annoyed. You got lucky.

Luke crosses his arms with a grin.

Luke: Sure, keep telling yourself that three eyes.

Boscha: What about you, shouldn't you be hiding in that rundown shack after the Petrification Ceremony? She grins. How's the Owl Lady doing by the way now that she's lost her magic, you know, because of you.

Luke: She's being doing fine actually. Thanks for asking. That is SO considerate of you.

Boscha: She frowns. So, you're a devil, huh?

Luke: Yeah, so?

Boscha: If I were you, I'd watch your back. The entire Emperor's Coven knows you're a devil. You never know when a responsible student like me could rat you out for doing anything…suspicious.

Luke: Go ahead, I won't stop you. If they wanna come after me, I'll just demolish them.

Boscha: Hmph. I see even after losing to the Golden Guard once, you're still acting like a tough guy.

Luke: Who says it's an act? Are you seriously gonna pick a fight with me triclops? Even if you have gotten stronger, you're still no match for me. And I can go devil on you at any time. Not that you're worth the effort.

Boscha grits her teeth with a growl of hatred.

Boshca: Like I said, you'd better watch your back human. I've got my eye on you. Skara, come on. We have class right now.

Boscha proceeds to walk away.

Skara: Uh…right! She looks to Viney's group before. I'll see you guys around. Nice seeing you, Luke! Glad you're okay!

Skara joins Boscha and they walk off to class together, leaving Luke with Viney's group who walk up to him.

Viney: Of course, there's one person who'd be less than pleased to see you.

Jerbo: Well, that definitely hasn't changed.

Luke: Meh. I'm in a good mood. I'll let that one go.

Luke looks around for three very specific friends.

Luke: Has anyone here seen…?

Viney grins and points ahead. Willow and Gus are walking by and when they spot Luke they scream with joy and ran towards him.

Luke: Willow! Gus!

As Viney, Jerbo and Barcus take their leave, Luke ran towards his group and the reunited trio share a hug for the first time in 2 weeks.

Gus: Luke! You're okay!

Luke is surprised, noticing Gus' voice is a little deeper and he's become almost as tall as Willow. His chin is also looking much sharper.

Luke: Whoa, Gus! Is that you man?

Gus: In the demonic flesh.

Luke: What happened to you dude? Did I miss a birthday or something?

Gus: Witch puberty.

Luke: I really owe you guys' big time for helping me and Eda at the conformatorium. I heard how you rallied everyone against the Petrification Ceremony.

Gus: That's cool, I just hope it helps Eda learn my name. She keeps calling me Goops.

A student walks by waving to Gus.

Student: Hey, Goops!

Gus: Gus looks down dejected. It's already spreading...

Amity: Hey, Luke.

Luke turns to see Amity approaching him much to his joy.

Luke: Yo, Ams! Luke walks over. Hey, hey! Glad to see you're back on your feet.

Amity: Thank you. In celebration of your return, I've brought you a homemade fairy pie.

Luke: Amity holds a small pie. Oh ho! That sounds so—

Luke feels his smile waver when sees the fairy pie is filled with still alive screaming fairies. He tries to hold back his disgust and shock.

Luke: Good...

Amity: The ingredients are...very fresh.

Amity looks away blushing as Luke nervously takes the fairy pie.

Luke: Uh…thanks.

Not wanting to hurt Amity's feelings, Luke brings up the pie and takes a slow bite. Luke braced himself as he chewed slowly, feeling fairy meat and bones grinding in his mouth, as he took in the...strangely good taste? Luke is actually enjoying this.

Luke: Hey…this isn't half bad. It tastes like a hamburger with frosting and sugar! Luke takes another bite. With strawberry filling inside! Ooh! Fairies really are beings of pure sweetness!

Luke finishes the pie, causing Amity to smile, happy to see her love interest enjoy her pie.

Amity: I'm glad you like it.

Luke: Like it? I love it. Thanks Ams.

Emira suddenly jumps onto Luke from his side, hugging him.

Emira: Hey Luke!

Edric walks up next to his sister. Luke and Amity smile as Emira pulls back.

Luke: Hey Ed. Hey Em.

Luke and Edric share a high-five.

Edric: Welcome back to Hexside, man. Things here have been insanely boring without you.

Luke: Yeah, I figured as much.

The six of them gather together.

Luke: Sorry I've been out of contact. After the Petrification, Principal Bump suggested I take two weeks off school to keep a low profile.

Edric: Yeah, that was probably a good call.

Amity: A lot of people are still going on about Eda's petrification and you standing up to Emperor Belos.

Emira: And you're still the talk of the town, Luke. You and your Devil Form.

Willow: Yeah, what you did at the Conformatorium was amazing. You transformed into a devil!

Gus: I didn't know you were secretly a devil all along, Luke.

Luke: That's because I'm not. Or at least I wasn't.

Willow: How did you even do that?

Luke: How the hell should I know? I don't even know how I did it in the first place.

Amity just smiles.

Amity: Well, however you did, I'm glad you did. If it wasn't for that power, you and I wouldn't be here.

Luke: Yeah, that's true. I was ridiculously awesome as a devil, wasn't I.

The five of them roll their eyes before giving Luke concerned looks as he stuffs his hands in his pockets.

Amity: By the way, have you found anything out about making a new portal back home?

Luke: No. Not yet.

Willow: Luke, Amity told us about what happened with the portal door.

Gus: Is it true you destroyed it?

Luke: Yeah, it's true. Luke looks down frowning. I couldn't let Belos invade my world, so I had to destroy it. With the portal door gone I'm pretty much stranded in the Demon Realm. His friends give him sympathetic looks, but he smiles. Don't worry you guys. I'm not that upset. I'll think of a way to get home. It'll involve some research and stuff but I'm sure I can find something. As long as I have you guys, being stuck here won't be so bad.

Willow, Gus, Amity, Edric, and Emira smile to see Luke looking so optimistic despite his situation. Amity places a hand on his back.

Amity: Luke, it's like I said, we'll do everything we can to help you get home.

Willow: You've helped us ever since we've met, Luke. Helping you find a new way home is the least we can do.

Emira: Ed and I will I too.

Edric: Why wouldn't we?

Gus: Yeah, you can count on us amigo.

Luke smiles, moved by his friends' support and Gus' use of Spanish.

Luke: Thanks amigos. He wraps his arms around Willow and Gus. You know, as much I love adventure, with all the crazy stuff I've been through over weeks, I am really glad to return to some sense of normalcy with my pals. Nothing can possibly take this away from me.

Suddenly, the school PA system came on and the sound of struggling with the microphone came with Principal Bump on the other end much to the surprise of the students who halt and look to the microphone.

Principal Bump: You can't just barge in here!

Odalia: Yes, we can. We are the Parent Creature Association. Luke Noceda, Willow Park, and Augustus Porter, report to Principal Bump's office now! And you too, Amity.

Luke: Who the hell was that!?

Amity: Mom?!

Edric & Emira: Uh oh…

Flanking Principal Bump in his office were Odalia and Alador while the kids (except Edric and Emrira) are sat in front of them. Amity has her arms crossed with a gruff look, Willow, and Gus look down scared and Luke has his arms crossed with a scowl aimed at Odalia, having remembered the abusive matriarch from Willow's memories, forming a hatred towards her due to ruining Willow and Amity's friendship and lives.

Luke: You're Amity's parents?

Odalia: That we are young man. I am Odalia Blight, and this is my husband, Alador Blight.

Luke: And you called us here because you want to punish us for incidents me, Willow and Gus were involved in.

Willow: That's crazy!

Luke: Yeah, where's your proof, lady?

Odalia: Odalia gives Luke a sharp glare. Watch your tone young man.

Luke: Or what, Fat-Hip?

Amity, Willow, Gus, Alador, Bump, and Odalia gasp in sheer shock. Did Luke just insult Amity's intimidating mother to her face!? Odalia slams the table in anger glaring right in Luke's face, but he remains stoic.

Odalia: How dare you!? Do you have any idea how much trouble you're in!? Is this a joke to you!?

Luke just smirks, laying his hands behind his head and placing his feet on the table, crossing them.

Luke: Well, I'm looking at a middle-aged woman who's in serious need of a face lift 'cause she makes Eda look 20. So, yeah, a little.

Odalia reels back, gasping in shock. She's been insulted twice in a row. This little joke was so funny Amity, Willow, and Gus are struggling to contain their laughter. Bump and Alador are forced to cover their mouths, also on the verge of laughing.

Luke: Are you sure you're Amity's mom? You look more like a grandma than a mom. Amity's beautiful, so how come you're…what's the right word to describe you?

Willow: Is it "ugly"?

Luke: Luke snaps his fingers and guns at Willow. Yeah, that's the word, Willow! Ugly.

Odalia's face becomes furiously red with humiliation as Willow and Gus are unable to hold it in anymore and burst into laughter hearing Luke roast Odalia. Amity looks away, beet red to hear Luke call her beautiful. Alador and Bump tear up, struggling to hold in their laughter and remain professional with all their might.

Odalia: Do you have any idea who you're talking too?!

Luke: I know I'm talking to a woman who needs to divert some of her money to the make-up department, because, yeesh…I do not see any of your two daughters' beauty in you…Fat-Hip.

Odalia's is completely red with embarrassment, jaws wide open in shock as everyone in the room burst into a fit of hysterical laughter, including Amity, Alador and Principal Bump from hearing Luke's level of roasting. Luke has joined in on the laughter this time. Never had she been this humiliated.

Luke and Amity hold their stomach, Willow and Gus hug each other; Bump bangs his table and Alador holds his forehead as they all laugh. Odalia gives her husband an annoyed glare.

Odalia: Alador!?

Alador shuts up and clears his throat. Odalia then glares at Amity who notices and immediately stops laughing. All the laughter stops when Alador clears his throat, grabbing everyone's attention.

Alador: That's enough jokes for today. We didn't come here to start an argument. This is a very serious matter.

Odalia: Indeed. Now human, for the sake of professionalism, I'm going to pretend I didn't hear any of that.

Luke: Because you can't?

Luke laughs again but Odalia keeps her composure and takes a deep breath despite her anger. Amity concerned with how far this is going puts a hand on Luke's shoulder, stopping his laughing,

Amity: Luke, please. Let's not fan the flames here. You have no idea how much influence my mom has.

Luke: Don't worry Amity, she's doesn't scare me.

Odalia clears her throat, grabbing everyone's attention again. Luke and Amity both cross their arms, scowling at Odalia while Willow and Gus become nervous again.

Odalia: Now, onto business. The abomination situation, the destruction of detention, the rampage of Grom. These are but a few of the incidents that have endangered Hexside students, including our daughter.

Amity shoots her mother a deadly glare.

Luke: Hold it, Fat-Hips. Odalia growls at that. That last one shouldn't count as an incident. I beat Grom.

Odalia: Perhaps. But Grom escaped and our daughter had to risk her life fighting it your place. She even almost died protecting you. So, it counts as an incident. And last but certainly not least, our daughter's involvement in the Petrification Ceremony, this boy endangered our daughter's life and forced her to help him rebel against the emperor against her will.

Luke and Amity stood up, outraged with this lie they're hearing.

Luke & Amity: WHAT!?

Luke: Ok, now that's a total lie! I never forced Amity to help me! I never even asked her to help me in the first place!

Amity: Mom, please! Luke's telling the truth! He didn't force me! I helped him because I wanted to! It wasn't his fault!

Odalia: Well, whether it was willingly or not, befriending this boy has endangered your life and it's most likely made us enemies out of the Emperor's Coven. I'm surprised scouts haven't come at our doorstep to arrest us because of your involvement.

Amity gives her mother a hateful glare until her gem glows and she hears her mother's voice in her head.

Odalia: "And I'd watch your tone with me young lady. Unless you want me to make things worse for your human."

Amity gasps in shock at this threat and sits down with a look of sheepish fear much to Luke's concern.

Luke: Amity?

Odalia: So, the PCA has decided to...

She notices Alador trying to touch Bump's hat's moving tail and clears her throat, catching his attention.

Alador: Oh, right. These three, especially the human boy, are bad influences and must be EXECUTED.

Luke, Amity, Willow, and Gus gasp in sheer shock to hear this from a sluggish man.

Alador: Ahem! I mean expelled. Pardon me. Working late hours tend to mix up my words.

Luke & Gus: WHAT!?

Luke, Willow, and Gus are horrified while Amity furiously grits her teeth at her mother but stops when she communicates via necklace again.

Odalia: "Take this as a lesson, Mittens. A Blight always upholds their end of the deal."

Amity gasps, then backs down with a dejected and sorrowful look.

Bump: Sadly, I have no choice in the matter. I'm truly sorry to say this. But Luke, Willow, Augustus, effective immediately you are no longer students of Hexside.

Luke: No! Principal Bump don't do this! She's lying! Amity, say something! You can't agree with this!

Amity could only look down in defeat as Odalia gives her daughter a stern glare. Amity clutches her legs, her eyes welling with tears.

Amity: I'm sorry, Luke…I can't…

Luke: Amity…

Luke could only sadden for her. He knew from what Amity has told him; her mother's had a mental grip on her for years. And even after everything they've been through and facing a Grom version of her mother, she still can't stand up to the real thing.

Odalia: Good. Now, you'll be taking double the classes to make up for lost time. Actually, I'm appalled that you're not in class right now. What are you thinking?

Luke: You called her here, you piece of-!

Amity: Amity stood up. Right, sorry.

Luke: Amity, no! Don't take the blame! Stand up to her! You can't let this scumbag of a mom get away with this!

Odalia: I won't be tolerating you filling my daughter's head with doubts again, boy.

Luke: Doubts? You're the one who's filling her head with a bunch of crap, you, fat-ass hag!

Despite Luke's insults, Odalia manages to maintain a smirk.

Odalia: Such strong words. Awfully young, aren't you?

Luke: Awfully slimy, aren't you?

Odalia: Watch it. If you think expulsion is bad, you'd be surprised how strict the PCA is with slander.

Luke: Really? Well, let's see how they handle ASSAULT!

Everyone becomes shocked and Odalia gasps when Luke pulls her in by the collar and starts pummelling her with punches to the face that make her cry out in pain. Fearing this will make things worse, Luke's friends try to stop him and pulling him back.

Amity: Luke, no!

Willow: Luke, what are you doing!?

Gus: Take it easy man!

Luke resists and kept punching, Principal Bump was too stunned to do anything while Alador attempts to pull his wife away from Luke's grip as continues crying out. The scuffle ends when Luke smacks Odalia hard in her nose. She shouts in pain, but Alador manages to finally pull her away and Willow, Gus, and Amity pull Luke back, the human boy continuing to glare in hate. Odalia groans in agony, covering her nose as Alador held her.

Alador: Are you alright, dear?

No, she isn't. Odalia removes her hand to reveal her face covered in some bruises and blood dripping out her nose. When she sees it on her hand, she growls in rage, giving Luke the death stare, causing Gus to gulp and Amity steps away from her friends.

Gus: Uh oh.

Odalia: She wipes the blood off. Remove this boy and his friends from my sight at ONCE!

Odalia snaps her finger. Two Hexside guards' barge in and drag Willow, Gus, and Luke away, the three of them frantically struggle and protest, especially Willow and Gus while Amity could only look down, completely powerless and crestfallen.

Luke: No, let us go you bastards! Amity! Fight back! AMITY!

Odalia smugly puts her hand on Amity's shoulder. All Amity could do was glance back at Luke with a tearful look of sadness as her friends get dragged away and the door closes.

Outside the school's main entrance, Luke, Willow, and Gus were wallowing in despair over their expulsion. Luke hung down the stair railings and Gus paces around, looking distraught.

Gus: It finally happened! Our memorable adventures caught up to us. Oh, my dad can't find out about this! He picks up leaf. I guess I'll have to start surviving off the land.

Gus attempts to lick the leaf but couldn't bring himself to do it and just throws it away.

Gus: Ah! This is impossible!

He runs off crying while Willow hugs a nearby tree.

Willow: I guess this is goodbye. I'll water you one last time... with my tears!

Willow sends her tears down the tree roots. Luke could only groan in agony over being kicked out of the one school he truly fit in. He notices Alador and Odalia walking down the steps, his rage boiling at the sight of the matriarch (who's face has been healed and her nose is patched with a band aid.

Luke: HEY! FAT-HIP! Odalia glances back to see Luke giving a furious glare. Just who the HELL do you think you are!? How dare you ruin my friends' lives! You had NO RIGHT to do that! What have we ever done to you?!

As Odalia spoke to Luke Alador was chasing a demon butterfly.

Odalia: Luke, was it? Please, this isn't personal. I actually admire your tenacity. And despite your earlier rudeness and the fact you made my nose bleed, I won't deny I was quite impressed with your bravery. No one has ever talked to me like that in years, much less hit me. It actually shook me up. Believe me dear, I don't relish in destroying the careers of bright young witches, human or not. But we're just trying to teach our daughter a valuable lesson in business.

Luke walks up crossing his arms angrily.

Luke: I don't give a damn about your dumb business! How does this even teach her anything? We're still gonna be friends with her, expelled or not. This business junk you're trying to "teach" her is a bunch of crap.

Odalia had to admit, the boy was right. A devious plan comes to mind.

Odalia: Despite the cursing, I do see your point. She grabs and crushes the butterfly Alador is chasing, releasing it much to her husband's dismay. If you're interested in talking things through, I'm sure we can come to some sort of an agreement.

She reaches into Alador's pocket and hands Luke a Blight Industry business card. Luke gives it a quick look before glaring back at Odalia.

Luke: No thanks. I think we'll find our own way back into Hexside, lady.

Gus and Willow join him, glaring at Odalia with him.

Gus: You tell her, man. No way are we trusting her.

Willow: Willow wraps an arm around him. Come on, Luke. We can figure this out on our own.

Gus: That's right, we'll get back into Hexside or die trying!

Willow: No one's dying.

Gus: Not with that attitude.

Willow and Gus turn and walk away while Luke still glares at Odalia with his arms crossed.

Odalia: Yes, well, when that doesn't work, you know where to find us.

Odalia pushes Alador and they walk away together. Luke growls, gritting his teeth as he crushes the business card not realizing his eyes temporarily become devils black and his voice sounding like it does in his Devil/Pseudo Devil Form.

Luke: This isn't over. Not by a long shot.

Meanwhile at the Owl House, ignoring Luke's advice, Eda is experimenting with her Glyphs and slapping them together instead of mastering the basics, causing her to produce failing results. Meanwhile, Lilith is showing mastery over the basics of Glyph combos and producing more graceful results, creating a crown for Hooty, two icicle pops and a beautiful ice sculpture of Hooty much to the jealousy of Eda. King advises her to listen to Luke, but Eda stubbornly continues with her experiments, determined to prove her way of learning is better.

Back at Hexside, the front entrance has 3 posters showing Luke, Willow and Gus are banned. The trio exchange optimistic looks, determined to speak with Bump.

Luke: Operation Change Bump's Mind is a go!

In his office, a saddened Bump is looking at pictures of the trio. Willow and Gus pulling Luke out of a locker, Luke and Willow during the Abomination incident and a picture of him with the trio surrounding and annoying him taken during Grom. A knock is heard on the window and Bump walks up to find a basket from the trio with a note pleading to un-expel them, a drawing of him, and a disfigured cake which is supposed to resemble his face. Spooked by this, Bump screams and throws the cake down, hitting the trio on the head.

Luke: Doh!

3 teachers were about to enter the school but bump into Principal Bump and the same teachers outside. Bump casts a spell and the imposters are revealed to be the trio hiding behind Gus's illusion magic.

Luke: Doh!

They back off and Bump tearfully walks away.

The trio then try to fly inside using Eda's staff but backs off when Bump and his Abomination points a crossbow at them.

Luke: Doh! Doh!

After this he drops down crying in guilt and regret.

Bump: Life is just so dull without them!

The Hexside guards close the main door on them. The three of them are looking rather dejected. Every single attempt to talk with Bump has ended in humiliating failure.

Gus: Ah, this is hopeless! Nothing is working!

Luke: Don't worry, amigos! We'll figure something out. If we stick together, we can figure something out.

A crow phone crows and lands atop Willow's head. She knows who's about to call her.

Willow: Oh no.

Harvey: Willow Park, did you get expelled?!

Another crow phone lands atop Gus' head, his dad's voice coming from it.

Perry: This is Perry Porter with breaking news. In light of recent events, Augustus Porter will be grounded for no less than a year.

The crow phone grabs Gus by his collar and starts flying up, showing it to be incredibly strong. Gus protests against this as Luke tries to pull him down only to fail.

Harvey: Just one? Willow's grounded for three at least!

Willow's crow phone grabs her by the collar and flies up with her too. The two crow phones take off with Willow and Gus, leaving Luke alone.

Luke: Guys!

Willow: Help, Luke!

Gus: Luke! SAVE MEEEEE!

Luke: Slag it!

Amity passes Luke from behind, struggling to hold a pile of books and drops one in the process. Luke hears it and turns back toward the source of sound. They share a gaze and Luke walks up to a guilt-ridden Amity.

Amity: Luke…I…I'm so sorry. I was a coward in there. I understand if you hate me but my mom-!

Luke: Hey, whoa, whoa! Amity, I don't hate you. I could never hate you. I get it. You're terrified of your mom, I get that.

He gives Amity a kind smile and picks up her book.

Amity: But it's no excuse for doing nothing. I'm really sorry. It's all my fault this is happening. My Mom is doing this to punish me. It…it just isn't fair. Amity sat down on the steps close to tears, her voice breaking. I thought I was becoming a better person, I was making friends, for the first time in my life I was happy. And then my mom comes and takes it all away from me again. Luke sat down next to her with a sympathetic look. Amity clutches her books tightly. I don't know why I'm such a coward Luke. I faced Grom. I stood up to Lilith. Heck, I fought the emperor and the Golden Guard. But even after all that, even after Grom took her form, I just can't stand up to my own mom. What's wrong with me! She sighs, tears welling up a little. I really am pathetic.

Luke: Okay, okay, can we rewind the "pathetic" part, because you're not pathetic. You're amazing, okay? You are amazing. You're the bravest girl I've met and you're the one of the strongest witches I've ever known.

Amity: That's sweet of you Luke. But it's wrong. I'm not strong. I was helpless against Belos and the Golden Guard. And I completely fell apart back there with my parents. Whenever I'm about to die I'm always having to rely on you to save me.

Luke: Amity, I get that you're afraid of your mom. But you can't let her get away with this. You've got to stand up to her, like you did with Grom. I know it wasn't the real thing at the time, but you can do it. I know you can. She's already ruined your life once Amity when she forced you and Willow apart, don't let her get away with that again.

Amity: Luke, you don't understand. Facing my fears made from Grom and the real thing are two different things. My mom…she's the worst. She's had a hold over me for years. And no matter how hard I try I can't escape from her.

Luke: Then I'll help you stand up to her, like how you encouraged me to face my fears when I faced Grom. He places a hand on Amity's shoulder, causing her to gaze in Luke's eyes. And for the record, I'm not always saving you. You fought Grom in my honour when that thing devoured me. You helped me regain my confidence after Eda got captured. You even went out of your way to help me save her. I never could've freed Eda without you. And you stood up to the emperor and the Golden Guard even though you could've gotten arrested. You're tougher than you give yourself credit for Ams and that's one of the things I've come to admire about you.

Amity blushes, touched by Luke's words.

Amity: Luke…

Luke stood up, standing opposite of Amity.

Luke: Look, clearly none of my plans are working so I have only one option. Can you take me to your mom? It looks like the only way to get back into Hexside is to make a deal with her.

Amity is horrified with this idea. Making a deal with her mother is that last thing anyone should do.

Amity: No, no, Luke, you don't have to do that. You're already on my mom's bad side.

Luke: You mean with the face lift and Fat-Hip jabs or that punch in the face. Luke just scoffs and grin. Please, I'm not scared of her. Besides, you were totally enjoying that as much as I was.

Amity: Amity looks away blushing and chuckling. Okay, it was really funny. And I have always wanted to see my mom get hit like that. She gets worried again. But that's not the point. You don't know my mom like I do. She may say a Blight upholds their end of the deal, but she'll always find a way around it or go back on it.

Luke: I've got no choice. Willow and Gus don't deserve this. This is my only option to get them back into Hexside. He offers up Amity's book with a pleading smile. So, will you help me, please?

Amity is emotionally torn. She wants nothing more than to help Luke but her fear of Odalia and how she'll retaliate overwhelms her.

Amity: I... I can't. I'm sorry. School bell rings. I have to go.

She takes her book from Luke and walks away in tears towards the entrance. Luke watches her go in sorrow and sighs.

Luke: Guess I'm gonna have to pull another stupid stunt on my ownagain.

He takes out the crumbled-up business card in his pocket and straightens it out, turns the back of the card and reads the address.

Luke: Buh. I was really hoping it wouldn't come to this. I have to make a deal with a tyrant.

With Eda, the younger Clawthorne has slapped a bunch of Glyphs together and when she activates the results are disastrous as they turn into a spikey and expanding blob of ice that is slowly engulfing the living room much to Eda's dismay as she realizes she probably should've listened to Luke.

Speaking of the human boy, he's made his way to Blight Manor, this time entering via the front entrance. Still vexed with Odalia, Luke bangs on the door repeatedly.

Luke: Hey, Blights! Open up Fat-Hip! Or I'll huff and puff and blow this door-!

The door opens to reveal an abomination butler who gives off a groan.

Luke: Ugh…down.

The abomination butler leads Luke into the living room while holding a tray with teacup and teapot on it. As Luke expected, the mansion house was full of fancy decor, extravagant paintings, and expensive objects probably worth more than the Owl House. Luke is a little impressed.

Luke: Fancy place they've got here. Sure smells a lot better than the Owl House.

He then looks to the family portrait hanging above the fireplace. The entire family was dressed nice and posing on/behind a couch. Odalia stood on the left side with a hand on Edric's shoulder while Alador stood on the right with a hand on the couch. The twins and Amity sat on the couch with Amity in the middle and the twins each having a hand on her. Odalia smiled smugly, Alador had a blank smirk on his lips, Edric and Emira smiled confidently, and Amity didn't smile at all. Just had a small, respectful frown on her face.

Luke: Talk about one big unhappy family. Can't say I blame Amity for being all gloom and doom when we first met.

The abomination butler offers Luke some tea, but Luke decides to give his face a little makeover, turning its frown into a smilewhich only lasts a couple seconds before that smile falls.

Luke: Yeah, I saw that coming. He thinks for a bit. Hmm, how else can I leave a mark? Couple seconds after he snaps his fingers. Ooh! I know just what to do! He brings something out of his cowl, black and folded. I've been saving this for a moment like this my whole life.

After leaving his mark, Edric and Emira approach from upstairs, surprised to see Luke in their living room watching their butler leave.

Edric & Emira: Luke!?

Luke: Hey guys.

They approach him, their usual casual demeanour that of surprise.

Edric: What are you doing here!?

Emira: Yeah! We heard what happened to you, Willow and Gus. Sorry about what our mom did. She always does stuff like this.

Luke: I don't see why you're apologising. It's not your fault your mom is a controlling, fat-hipped tyrant.

The twins' chuckle at Luke's nickname for their mom.

Edric: Fat-hip. That's clever. They get serious again. But seriously, what are you doing here?

Luke: Long story short, Willow and Gus have been grounded, Amity's afraid to stand up to her mom and all plans to get back into school have been a bust. My only option at this point is to make a deal with Fat-hip, so here I am.

The twins are horrified by this idea.

Emira: Wait, you wanna make a deal with our mom!?

Luke: Yeah, not that I want to.

Luke walks past the twins, heading for the door at the end of the room only for Emira to grab his arm in panic.

Emira: Luke, no!

Luke: Em, what are you doing!?

Emira: Don't make a deal with our mom. You can't trust that woman! She's absolutely the last person in the Demon Realm you want to make a deal with!

Luke: Yeah, I already know that Em.

Emira: Listen to us, Luke! You don't know what you're getting into! Our mom might say "Blights always uphold their end of the deal" but she'll always find a way to cheat her way around that! Believe me! Where do you think Ed and I get our ability to cheat around school!?

Luke: I'm not dumb! I'll go into this, knowing that. I don't have any other choice. Willow and Gus don't deserve to be expelled! This is the only way to get their futures back.

Emira: But Luke…!

Edric: Don't do it, man!

Luke looks to see Edric grabbed hold of his ankle, the same panicked expression as his sister.

Luke: Unhand my ankle Ed. He escapes Edric and Emira's grips and walks away. My pals need me.

Edric could only reach out in vain as he and Emira helplessly watch Luke stubbornly walk towards the basement door.

Edrick: You don't know what you're doing. Don't go through that door! Luke ignores him and goes through door. NOOOOOO!

Emira could only drop to comfort his dramatically distressed brother.

Luke is now walking down the basement.

Luke: Hello? Anyone home?

A severed abomination hand is thrown into the wall beside Luke, causing him to yelp. Odalia turns to him, sat down on table sipping tea while her husband wearing his goggles is ripping an Abomination apart.

Odalia: Oh, don't mind him, dear. He's getting ready for our big demonstration tonight. She looks to Alador. It's looking good, hon!

Alador tears off an organ and Luke cringes at the sight.

Luke: This is really unsettling. He walks up to Odalia with a frown. But let's cut to the chase Mrs Blight. As much as I can't stand looking at you, I've come here to appeal to your heart.

Odalia: That's sweet. And you're referring to me respectfully this time.

Luke: Stop smiling. I'm not doing this because I want to. Let's just get down to business…literally. I do something you want and in return you let me, Willow, and Gus back into Hexside.

Odalia: Blunt and honest. I like that. Let's get to the deal. We have a rather important presentation tonight showing off some new products.

Luke: Abomination-based products?

Odalia puts down her saucer and Alador walks past with a severed head.

Odalia: Precisely. Normally Amity helps us with these things, but she's busy catching up on schoolwork.

Luke glares, knowing she was trying to guilt trip him with that last part but for the sake of his friends he holds his frustration in.

Luke: Yeah, yeah, I get it. I'll take Amity's place and help you show off your weird abomination gunk if you swear to let me and my friends back into school.

Odalia: Don't worry, human. A Blight always upholds their end of the deal.

She held out her hand and a reluctant Luke shakes it.

Odalia: And with that, the deal is made. But before we get to that might I make one small request?

Luke: And what's that?

Odalia: I'm rather curious about that sword you wield. I heard about how you gave Amity a hard time at the Covention with it. Might I take a close look at it.

Luke: Normally, I'd say go to hell but in this case, I have no choice. You get 30 seconds. And no tricks.

Odalia: None.

Luke brought out Rebellion and opens the blade, impressing Odalia. He tosses it to her and she catches it. She held the sword in her hand, admiring the blade.

Odalia: Fascinating. This sword truly does look one of kind. Remarkable craftsmanship. Clearly this sword was forged by a master.

Luke: I was told it originally belonged to Sparda.

The mention of Sparda catches Odalia and Alador's attention, the latter raising his goggles.

Odalia: To Sparda?

Luke: You knew him?

Odalia: Of course. We attended the same school together when we were your age. She frowns. He was our hated enemy.

Alador: Actually, he was YOUR hated enemy. I respected him, even hung out with him a couple times.

Luke: Odalia grumbles a little. So, you were basically his Boscha? She's my archenemy at school.

Odalia: I suppose you could say that. But despite my hatred, I've had my fair share of respect for the man myself. She looks back to Rebellion. He's forged quite the sword. And it has the power to repel and absorb magic, correct?

Luke: Yeah, so?

Alador walks up next to Odalia and she hands it over to her husband to examine.

Alador: This blade seems to be made from a very special material, an ancient metal of some kind. It is quite remarkable.

Odalia: Yes, I'm inclined to agree dear.

They're taken aback when Rebellion disappears and reappears in Luke's hand.

Luke: Okay, 30 seconds are up. Can we get this presentation thing over with now? I'm missing teaching my own class at the Owl House for this.

Odalia: Odalia chuckles a little. Yes, you're right. We wouldn't want to be late now. You might want to go get ready, because we have...

The scene focuses on Luke's face while the surrounding transitions from the basement into the Blight Industry product event. Odalia presents Luke and a bunch of Abominations and Abomination-based products and weaponries surrounding him.

Odalia: …A long night ahead of us folks! Welcome back to Blight Industries!

The hooded crowd applauds and cheers. Luke chuckles nervously which falters into an expression of worry.

Luke: I just know I'm gonna hate this.

After the crowd finishes cheering, Alador arrives next to Luke.

Luke: So…Mr Blight. What exactly is Blight Industries all about?

Alador: We make a variety of abomination-based accessories for home security.

Luke: Oh, that sounds pretty safe.

Alador: But we specialize in weaponry. He walks away. You might want to duck.

Luke: Wait, what?

Luke didn't have time to react when a lump of abomination goop slams into him, pinning him to the wall in purple goo. The crowd applauds as he spits out some goo from his mouth.

Luke: Bleh! I've got slime in my mouth!

The goo came from a type of gun held by Odalia. She looks to the crowd.

Odalia: Yes, our sticky launcher can peacefully subdue any foe! And, if peaceful isn't your thing...

Odalia switches modes on the gun and it blasts out green flames like a flamethrower much to the amazement of the crowd.

Edric and Emira watch this unfold from the entrance, cringing in horror at the sight of this.

Edric: Oh titan…

Edric: This is bad.

Luke wipes his face clean, eyes widened to see what he's got himself into it.

Luke: This was a bad idea.

Meanwhile at Blight Manor, Amity has arrived home from school. She walks through the living room taking off and dropping her cowl.

Amity: Mom? I'm ready for the show tonight!

Amity notices a note and takes it down to read it. On the note it says:

"We found a replacement! -Mom"

Amity: Found a replacement? She turns to the butler dusting her hair and holding her cowl. Did anyone come to the house today?

Amity sees the Abomination Butler is wearing a black t-shirt and it reads:

"Luke Was Here!"

The youngest Blight growls angrily, knowing her crush is pulling another idiotic stunt.

Meanwhile, Willow is at home sat in her room looking down with a sad expression as Harvey, her father, drops a pile of textbooks on her desk. Gilbert, her other father, also stands by the door.

Harvey: To make sure you're getting a top-notch education; we're quitting our jobs to homeschool you.

Gilbert: And we'll spend all our free time having fun as a family.

Harvey: See you at first light for a test on the, uh…life cycle of a common swamp toad!

He closes the door, leaving their daughter alone. Willow continues to look down sadly, but an illusion of a tiny Gus appears, surprising her.

Gus illusion: Willow! Hey, Willow!

He points to the window and Willow was about to open until Gilbert suddenly came in opening the door a bit.

Gilbert: Hey, Willow, uh—

Gilbert notices the tiny Gus illusion, then looks at Willow near the window. He smiles in understanding, puts a finger on his mouth, makes a "shhh" sound then closes the door. Willow smiles gratefully before opening the window.

Gus and Amity are stood outside below, the former conjuring up his illusion.

Amity: Luke is in trouble!

Gus: Again.

Outside Blight Industries; the entrance being guarded by Abominations. Crowds can be heard cheering and applauding. Gus, Willow and Amity are standing outside thinking how to get in.

Amity: What was Luke thinking!? Can't he go through one day, just ONE, without pulling an idiotic stunt!?

Willow: Tell me about it! I hope he's okay.

Gus: I'm sure we've got nothing to worry about. This is Luke we're talking about. He's the toughest guy we know, I'm sure he's doing fine in there.

They cringe when they hear Luke scream as the crowd applauds.

Gus: Ooh. Maybe not.

Amity: We have to get in there! Luke needs us!

Willow: Okay, I can use the root system underground to tunnel our way in.

Amity: That'll take too long. We should just rush the guards at the door!

Gus: No, no, no. I'll distract them with illusions of beautiful lady guards.

Willow: This isn't a cartoon from the '40s, Gus! We need a better plan!

Gus: This could work!

Amity: We should just bust our way through!

Gus: You're stunting my growth as an artist! Just let me try this!

Willow: We are running out of time! We gotta get in now!

Amity: We have to help Luke now!

The trio kept arguing over what plan they should go with until someone calls them out.

Edric: Here's an idea.

Gus, Willow, and Amity look to see Edric and Emira stood nearby with cloaks.

Edric: Why don't you just walk through the front?

The twins toss each of them a cloak and Amity smiles gratefully at her siblings.

Amity: Ed! Em! You're helping?

Emira: Of course! Just…don't tell Mom.

The trio put on their cloak and walk inside. Edric creates 3 "Hex me!" notes on their back. The twins laugh, but Amity throws them back and they hit Edric in the face much to Emira's surprise. Amity points two fingers at the twins and walks backwards, growling.

The trio runs inside the factory into an excited crowd cheering and clapping while Luke is struggling to avoid the Abomaton firing arrows from a crossbow at him. Normally, with his weaponry, fighting prowess and Glyph magic, Luke can easily destroy the Abomaton blindfolded. But to uphold his end of the deal he has to make this look good and make it look like he's struggling, thus giving him no choice but to hold back. This has been going for the past two hours and Luke is covered in cuts, bruises, scrapes and his uniform is a little torn.

2 arrows are shot at Luke, he dodges the first one and ducks from the second. He quickly opens Rebellion to deflect the 3rd one with a swing.

Willow: What's going on!? Luke should be destroying that thing easily!

Amity: He's holding back to make it look like my parents' products are worth buying. I do it all the time!

Just as Luke was ready to fight back, an abomination fist erupts from beneath and sends him flying and screaming upwards. The hand catches him before he hits the floor. Crowd continues cheering and applauding as the Abomaton points the bow at Luke who grunts and struggles to escape.

Odalia: Thank you, thank you. And they say said we couldn't make crossbows more fun! The Abomaton takes its leave and Luke is released. Next, we're very excited to show you our last product from this line.

Luke: Luke sighs in relief. Oh, finally. Just one more and I'm free. He gets angry. And when I get out of here, I'm gonna murder this woman.

Odalia: My husband has been toiling away to bring you...

Odalia steps aside to leave the stage while the ground opens up and rolls away. A dark figure rises on stage.

Odalia: The Abomaton 2.0!

The lights shine, revealing a seriously upgraded Abomaton. It looked like a large abomination with saddened green eyes and a deformed face. It wore brown body armour consisting of a large chest plate with a pink, glowing core in its torso, shoulder pads, armlets, and small armour boots on its legs.

The crowd gasps in amazement. Amity gasps in horror as she takes off her hood then turns to start climbing up a ladder.

Willow: Amity, wait!

Gus and Willow take off their hoods and were about to follow but immediately get restrained by security abominations.

Odalia continues presenting the Abomination 2.0.

Odalia: It's bigger! It's better! The Abomaton 2.0 is the perfect soldier. It won't rest until its enemy is completely eliminated!

Odalia leaves the stage and Luke looks at the Abomaton with a nervous chuckle.

Luke: Uhhey, how you doing?

Literally in seconds, the Abomaton's hands turns into deadly weapons, the left has become 4 blades, and the right hand becomes a morning star mace.

Luke: Crud.

The Abomaton proceeds to crush Luke and he quickly rolls out of the way before making a run for it. The soldier's weapons turn back to hands which it stretches and fires at Luke. He ducks and back rolls but when he attempts to run his waist gets caught and he drops to the floor, right near the edge of the stage where he sees Odalia and Alador, the gauge looking almost full.

Luke: Okay! This is thing is freakishly strong. I think the crowd gets it now.

Alador: He has a point, Odalia.

Odalia: Didn't you hear me? It won't rest until its enemy is completely ELIMINATED!

Luke's face contorts with shock, realizing he's been double-crossed. This woman has no intention of keeping their deal because her true goal was to have him killed. Luke's shock turns into fury and hatred.

Luke: This wasn't about Amity! You've been trying to kill me since the start of this damn show! What the hell!? We made a DEAL!

Odalia: Oh, and believe me, I intend to uphold my end of the deal…if you survive. Maybe next time you'll think twice before making an enemy out of me, boy!

Odalia points to the band aid on her nose, reminding Luke that he punched her.

Luke: YOU STUCK-UP DOUBLE-CROSSING PIECE OF-!

The Abomaton lifts Luke and throws him high up, sending him screaming. Luke manages to land on a beam and laughs at the Abomaton.

Luke: You'll never get me now sucker! The Abomaton jumps up and lands behind Luke on the beam much to his dismay. Oh man…I really need to know when to shut up.

The Abomaton's hand forms into a scythe which it uses to slice Luke who activates an ice-glyph to block before rolling out of the way and sliding on his back to summon his Glyph Guns and fire a bullet barrage that force the Abomaton to stumble back. It quickly regains its footing and morphs its scythe into a sword. Luke angrily stood on one foot.

Luke: Oh, screw making this look good! You want a show! I'll give you a show you'll never forget!

Luke stood on both feet, crossing his guns and firing another energy bullet barrage. The Abomaton's other hand forms into large shield that blocks the bullets. Luke continues firing but none of his bullets break through, prompting him to switch to Rebellion and charge the Abomaton. He swings his blade and locks swords with the Abomaton. Luke pushes with all his strength before finally pushing the creation off and jumping back. The Abomaton steps forward to launch two swings that Luke barely manages to parry.

Unfortunately, even though he isn't holding back anymore, Luke's too wounded and weak to put up a better fight against this monster.

Amity is seen climbing up a ladder while Luke keeps holds off the Abomaton.

All Willow and Gus can do is watch in grave concern.

Gus: Uh oh! Luke's not looking so good!

Willow: If he weren't so wounded and weak, Luke would easily destroy that thing.

Luke dodges a scythe slice and ducks a second before holding up his sword to block a vertical slash. The Abomaton fires its other fist and punches Luke. He lands on his back with a grunt but grabs onto a pole, preventing himself from falling off. He quickly ran, dodging the Abomaton whipping around a morning star mace which hits multiple pipes that cause smoke to be released. Luke quickly summons a Glyph Gun and shot vines to wrap around a large pipe and swing up and around, switching Rebellion to Fire Mode.

The Abomaton's takes aims with its hands, forming into four blades that spin as it prepares to fire a green fire blast. Luke and the Abomaton collide, causing a huge explosion that blasts the robot off the beam while Luke swings down, holding his gun.

The crowd runs away screaming as the Abomaton crashes, destroying the stage and some of the floor. Luke swings down and stylishly lands in front of the fallen Abomination. Luke boasts.

Luke: Yes! Nailed it! He smirks and points at Odalia. In your face Fat-Hip! I'm still alive! How's that for a good show!

Odalia growls in anger. But that ends when the Abomaton rises back up and grabs Luke by the foot much to his dismay. He yelps when he's tripped on his back.

Luke: Uh oh. The Abomaton's hand turns into a huge axe. Me and my big mouth!

The Abomoniation brings down its axe and Luke quickly holds out his sword, barely blocking it and avoiding getting crushed or cut to pieces. The Abomaton swings down its axe constantly and Luke is struggling harder and harder to block.

Luke: Come on! I've gotta go devil! Why can't I go devil!?

Eventually Rebellion is knocked out of his hands, and he is left without any means of defence. The Abomaton brings up its axe one last time.

Luke: I'm dead.

He braces himself for the inevitable death, but the axe stops inches from his face. The Abomaton's axe is frozen in pink energy and is slowly forced back, then the same happens to the hand wrapped around Luke. Its hands explode and it drops on its rear. Luke moves back in surprise.

Amity: Hey!

Luke: What the-!?

The crowd gasps, as everyone looks to see a cloaked, hooded figure stood on a beam. And that figure is none other than Amity Blight who throws back her hood and cape.

Amity: STAY AWAY FROM MY LUKE!

She casts two spell circles, showing off an intense look of pure defiance and determination as her cloak whips in the air, determined to protect the boy she loves. Luke could only stare in surprise in amazement at his saviour.

Luke: Amity?

(Timeskip)

Meanwhile, back at the Owl House, Eda's little experiment has gone out of control and has now taken King. Now fully realizing the results of her reckless actions and that she should've listened to Luke and Lilith, Eda reluctantly calls her older sister for help which she gladly lends with an experiment of her own, underlying the irony of it all.

While this happens, back at Blight Industries, after her heroic entrance, Amity slides down a rope and lands in front of the downed Luke, facing the Abomaton. A furious Odalia communicates via necklace.

Odalia: "Amity Blight, you are in so much troub—!"

Amity takes off and crushes her necklace, having had enough of her mother's voice. Odalia gasps in shock at this defiance coming from her daughter, Alador is just surprised.

Amity quickly turns to Luke, her spell circles aimed at the Abomination.

Amity: Luke, are you okay?

Luke: You…you came.

Amity: Amity gives a sweet smile. Of course. You're my friend. And this time, it's MY turn to protect YOU.

Luke stares at Amity in amazement, shocked with how the tables have turned. In the past it has been him coming to Amity's rescue in these sorts of situations, but this time the roles are reversed. And at the same time, he's blushing, as he finally beginning to realize the feelings he has had for Amity which he's never understood.

Luke: I think I'm in love…

Amity: What?

Luke: Uh… He gasps and points. Look out!

Amity's spell circles disappear as the Abomaton stood up and reforms its hands. It tries to punch Amity, but she casts more spell circles and engulfs the Abomaton in pink energy, holding it back with all her might.

Odalia: WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?

Amity: Something I should've done a long time ago: standing up to YOU!

Amity kept pushing. The Abomaton's hands start melting as it tries to push back, slightly gaining the upper hand as Amity's spell circles are slowly becoming unstable.

Odalia: Amity! Get away from the human!

Amity: No, you're gonna listen to me for once! Luke, Willow, and Gus are my friends! Amity is pushing the Abomaton backwards, slowly regaining control. They're nice to each other, they listen to each other. They make me think about the kind of person I really want to be!

Amity forces the Abomaton to its knees. Luke grins proudly.

Luke: Knew you had it in you, Blight.

Luke held out his hand to Rebellion, resummoning it via a surge of blue light. He ran towards Amity and the duo stood together back-to-back. They accidentally share a glance and immediately look away, both blushing with awkward expressions. Now that Luke has just realized his feelings for Amity, things are going to get a little stranger between them.

Odalia looks at the sales meter angrily as Alador appears to be intrigued by the turn of events. The investors are becoming disappointed and Odalia is losing profit.

Odalia: Ugh! What do you want?!

Amity: Let my friends back into Hexside, or else your precious investors will watch me rip this thing apart bit. By. Bit.

Luke: You can actually do that?

Amity: Shhh!

The crowd boos in disappointment and contempt. The sales meter is nearing the point of no return and Odalia could only groan in frustration. She wants to kill the human, but if she doesn't comply with her daughter's demands, she'll lose a ton of profits and possibly the business. With no other choice she finally breaks and gives in.

Odalia: Fine! It's a deal! Just stop with the theatrics!

Luke and Amity share another glance, smirking in satisfaction. Amity cancels her spell circles, freeing the robot. The Abomaton's hand changes into a huge hammer and brings it down towards the duo. The duo drop down with their arms around each other as the hammer pounds them.

When the dust clears, the duo are seen lying down on a crater, seemingly dead. The Abomaton's hammer is revealed to secretly be hollow in the middle and it transforms back to a normal hand. Luke and Amity briefly open their eyes, sharing a smile, proving that they're just playing dead to please the investors. The Abomaton shuts down, its eyes going dark. The crowd gasps at first before erupting with applause.

Willow: Luke!

Willow and Gus run towards Luke and Amity. As soon as the crowd leaves Luke sat up rubbing the back of his head.

Amity: Luke!

Amity then tackles Luke, embracing him in a hug and causing him to blush wildly.

Amity: You're okay!

Luke manages to smile and return Amity's hug.

Luke: Of course, I'm okay. And it's thanks to you. Amity pulls back as she got on her knees in front of Luke. Amity. Without you, I would've been…

Amity: As dead as I would've been the last couple times you've saved my life. I'm pretty sure I still owe you a few.

Luke and Amity chuckle until the former feels a stinging pain in his ribs and holds his side.

Luke: Ow! Ribs! That smarts!

Amity: Amity sighs sadly before gazing at Luke. Luke, I'm so sorry. If I had just stood up to my mom from the beginning, this never would've happened. I was a coward and you almost got killed because of it.

Luke surprises Amity, gently touching her face with a kind smile.

Luke: But you came back in the end. You stood up to you mom and that took some real courage. I knew you had it in you to stick it to that scumbag you call your mom. I'm proud of you Ams.

Amity: Amity blushes, smiling back. Thank you, Luke.

Luke: I'm the one who should be thanking you. You really saved my life. So, thanks Amity.

Amity: Don't mention it. It was the least I could do. You've been looking out for me for over a month. This time it was my turn to protect you.

Amity was stood up and she held her hand out to Luke. The human boy stares at her as she gave a smile…a beautiful smile, her eyes glimmering. He blushes a little, discovering feelings he never realized he had until today. Eventually he smiles back, taking her hand.

Luke: I thought the man was supposed to protect the woman?

Amity: Amity chuckles a little. Last century, gogglehead.

The sales meter goes up so high it explodes but Odalia is furious with her daughter's defiance and Luke's survival.

Odalia: As if I'd actually let them go back! I will call every authority I know! I'll make sure they can't-

Alador: Odalia!

Odalia turns towards Alador, who is giving his wife a surprisingly firm, stern, and unpleased expression. He walks up, staring her dead in the eyes.

Alador: You made a deal with your daughter, and a Blight always upholds their end of the deal.

They watch as Willow and Gus help Luke and Amity out of the crater. Luke, Gus, Willow, and Amity walk away together with satisfied smiles.

Alador: Besides, she's getting stronger. He puts his hands on Odalia's shoulder. Strong enough to become a coven head someday. Perhaps even head of the Emperor's Coven. I know it might be an adjustment, but perhaps it'd be more beneficial to keep the human boy alive if his presence has improved our daughter's magic this much.

Odalia calms down, grinning at her husband's logic. While Amity's new defiance will be a bit problematic, she's shown off a vast improvement in her magic…all because she befriended the human boy she just tried to kill. Perhaps if she can keep her rebellious streak under check, she can make this improvement work for the family.

Odalia: Wise words, dear. We have to focus on what's best for the family—

Odalia turns around and notices Alador gone. She glances to her left and notices Alador chasing a butterfly with his goggles on.

Odalia: Alador!

Odalia groans and facepalms. How a man could be so brilliant, yet so empty headed was beyond her, but she still loved him. Even if his mind can wander too much.

Back in the Owl House, thanks to Lilith, Eda's experiment was put to an end. Both Lilith and Eda are drawing something on their paper respectively. King has a towel wrapped around his head and is holding a cup in his hands, having gotten a cold from this little skirmish.

King: Ah-choo!

Eda: Okay so… uh…how did you beat that thing again?

Lilith: Would you like me to lay out "the basics"?

Eda: Yes.

(Flashback)

Scene flashes back to Lilith and Eda watching King freezing inside the ice blob. Lilith drops down drawing on a large piece of paper.

Lilith: Well, you were right. These glyphs act like the basic elements. But, instead of containing magic like we do, they command the magic around them. They're like words! And drawing glyphs on top of each other like you did—

Eda: Was like screaming three different words at the same time! The spell got confused!

Lilith: Yes. The glyph combo, copyright me, Lilith, helps organize the commands. So, you can combine and specify what you want to do!

Lilith slaps a paper with an organised glyph combo on it onto the ice blob. The ice blob flashes, then melts.

King: King shivers as he spoke. A-a-b-b-bout t-t-time!

King is covered in a lot of snow and hugs himself, trying to keep warm. Eda catches some snow in her hand and looks up above at the snow in wonder.

(End of Flashback)

Back in the present, Eda was now understanding the basics of Glyph Magic.

Eda: So, with the right combo, you can cast any spell!

King: Maybe the reason Luke hasn't found any more glyphs is because there... aren't any more.

Eda: Then we better start learning some new combinations.

The door opens and everyone looks to see Luke has arrived.

Luke: Hey, guys!

He wipes off abomination gunk off his hair before walking in.

Eda: Hey, Luke! We actually learned something new!

Luke: Great. Tell me about in the morning. I need to lie down.

Eda: Yeesh, what happened to you? Let me guess, you tried pulling off another idiotic stunt and ended up biting off more than you could chew, am I right?

Luke: Sorta. Long story short, Amity's parents, mainly her incredibly ugly mom who makes Eda look 20, got me, Willow, and Gus expelled from Hexside, I tried making a deal with her to let us back in, she double-crossed me, and, in the end, Amity ended up saving my life and forcing her mom to let us back into school. End of story.

King: Ha-ha! He points at Luke. You got saved by a girl!

Luke: Seeing as how I've saved Amity's life more than she's saved mine, that doesn't even bother me.

Eda narrows her eyes, angry with Odalia.

Lilith: I see Odalia is still playing that "Blight always upholds their end of the deal" game.

Eda: I have some strong words for Odalia right now and a bunch of revenge pranks with her name on it. She smiles at Luke. If you want, I can help you humiliate her tomorrow.

Luke: Thanks, but I think I'll pass for now. I have a LOT to think about right now.

King: Let me take a wild guess. You just fell in love with Amity, didn't you?

Luke Luke blushes. Yeah, I just fell in love with her.

Eda, King, Lilith & Hooty: Oooh!

Eda: You dog.

Luke chuckles nervously, rubbing the back of his head. Lilith quickly held up her hand just as he was about to leave.

Lilith: Wait, Mister Teacher! Do I get extra credit?

Lilith brought out an ice sculpture. It is of her kneeling before Luke, who's being depicted as a wise scholar holding a star.

Luke: Whoa

Eda: Eda gets jealous. I can do it too.

Eda slaps on a paper with ice glyph drawn on it. The glyph turns into an ice cube and rolls off the table which Eda gestures to. Luke shrugs off the laziness.

Luke: Good enough for me. Extra credit for everyone. Here are your grades.

Luke got out a marker and wrote 'A+' on Lilith's forehead and 'B' on Eda's. Lilith goes giddy with joy and excitement while Eda narrows her eyes, not caring about the lower grade.

Lilith: Mr Teacher, will bragging in my sister's face affect my grade?

Luke: Seeing as how I'm too tired to care about sibling squabbles, not at all. Brag to your heart's content. I'm going to bed.

With that Luke leaves to go to bed and Lilith gets in Eda's face to brag.

Lilith: Ha-ha! She points at Eda boastfully. In your face, sister! I got a higher grade than you! AT LAST!

Eda: So?

Lilith: So!? It means I'm better than you at Glyph Magic! Ha-ha-ha! Ooh! I've been waiting for this moment my entire life!

Lilith begins childishly dancing around her younger sister, ranting about her new superiority. Eda had always beaten her at almost everything ever since they were kids. No way is she passing this up. Eda just laid on the table, annoyed and deadpanning.

Lilith: I'm better than Edalyn! I'm better than Edalyn! I'm better than Edalyn!

Eda: You are never gonna let me live this down are you!

Lilith: No, I'm not! Lilith points to the grade on her forehead. This is the sweet taste of achievement! Accept it and weep, sister dear!

Lilith keeps ranting and dancing, though King isn't that bothered by it.

Eda: And she says I act like a child.

King: Just let her have this.

Luke walked into his room wearing his pyjamas after taking a nice little shower to clean himself up and bandaging up his wounds. He wipes his head with a towel and tosses his goggles aside.

Luke: I am beat.

He turns the lights off and laid down on his bed contemplating everything that's happened today, mainly Amity saving his life.

(Flashback)

Amity stood on the beam heroically casting her spell circles.

Amity: STAY AWAY FROM MY LUKE!

Amity stood between Luke and the Abomaton.

Amity: Luke! Are you okay?

Luke: You…you came back.

Amity: Amity gives a sweet smile. Of course, I did. You're my friend. This time, it's MY turn to protect YOU.

Amity held her hand out to Luke with a sweet smile, causing him to blush before smiling and taking it.

(End of Flashback)

Luke can't help but smile and blush at the same time. He then gets out a photo. It's of the one he, Amity, Willow, and Gus shared in Grom. Luke gives Amity in the photo a deep smile as he comprehends what he just realized…his feelings for Amity. For over a month after becoming friends with Amity, he always felt the two shared a special connection and it kept getting stronger as they got closer and closer. Certain moments with Amity caused him to blush and lose his composure, but he wasn't sure why. But after today…he understands now. Luke Noceda has a crush on Amity Blight. He's in love with her. It took Amity saving his life to make him finally realize that.

With this recent epiphany, Luke holds the photo to his chest with a fully realized newfound crush on the youngest Blight and the desire to win over her heart.

Back at Blight Industries Factory, the abomination servants are sweeping the floor. Odalia walks towards Alador who's fine tuning the Abomaton 2.0.

Odalia: Oh, despite the spectacle, this was quite a successful sale. Excellent job on the 2.0 dear.

Alador: I'm glad. But what did you think of that boy? It seems to me he lives up to the rumours spread about him.

Odalia: Yes, indeed. At first, I found it hard to believe that someone like him could defeat our daughter and Boscha. But now, I'm beginning to see it.

Alador: I dare say, if he hadn't held back to make our show look good, he would've most certainly brought our Abomaton to its knees.

Odalia: I agree. She places a finger on her chin. And his fighting style and the way he handles his sword, it brought a sense of nostalgia for some reason.

Alador: His fighting style is similar to that of Qrow and Sparda.

Odalia: Yes! You're right, Alador! I knew I recognised those moves from somewhere. And not only that, but the human also bears a resemblance to Sparda too. In fact, he's his spitting image. It became even clearer to me when we saw his transformation into a devil on the news.

Alador: I wonder what it could all mean.

Odalia: I'm curious about that myself, dear. How could a child from the Human Realm be so strong? Could he have some kind of connection to Sparda? And why does he possess demonic power?

Alador: I'm not sure. He smiles and touches his creation. But it's no matter. After meeting this boy in person, I have some ideas to improve our Abomatons. Odalia smiles in satisfaction. I'll just need certain materials and fundings.

Odalia: Excellent! Odalia held her husband's shoulder. After today's spectacle I'm sure you'll be provided the necessities in no time.

Just as they were sharing a smile a surprise visitor comes in.

Golden Guard: Yes!

Alador and Odalia are stunned to see the Golden Guard enter, accompanied by two coven scouts.

Golden Guard Your Abomatons are quite extraordinary. Too bad no one will be receiving them.

Odalia immediately kneels down, then makes Alador do the same as the Guard and his scouts approach them.

Golden Guard: The emperor will be buying every one of your Abomatons, and will personally fund research into making them stronger.

Odalia looks up, her fear turning into excitement and joy. The emperor funding their research!? This is an opportunity that they couldn't possibly pass up.

Odalia: Th…that's great news! We are honoured to have-!

Golden Guard: You should be. Emperor Belos doesn't take kindly to citizens making a... private army.

The Golden Guard turns and walks away. Alador and Odalia stand exchanging worried expressions.

Golden Guard: Oh, and I'd like to confirm something. He turns back to them. Are you the parents of Amity Blight?

Alador: Uh…yes sir, we are.

Odalia: Golden Guard, if this is about Amity assaulting you and the emperor, please hear us out. We are truly sorry for her actions! I can promise you she will not do that kind of thing a-!

Golden Guard: He cuts her off. Whoa, whoa! No need to get paranoid! I didn't come here to arrest you, I just needed to confirm. Don't worry, despite the fact your daughter committed the crime of assaulting me and the emperor and helping stop a petrification, the emperor has decided to pardon her and this family.

Alador is surprised and Odalia is overjoyed.

Alador: What?

Odalia: That's such relief! Thank you, sir! We are eternally grateful for this!

Golden Guard: You should be; the emperor isn't usually that lenient. But right now, he has big plans for the Boiling Isles. And before I leave, I'd just like to say I was quite impressed with your daughter when she fought me. She actually held her own against me.

Odalia: She did?

Golden Guard: Yes, she's quite a powerful and resourceful witch with great potential. I'd say she has a bright future ahead of her. Although, I'd advise you to keep her rebellious streak under check. Next time, the emperor might not be as forgiving.

And with that, the Golden Guard takes his leave, leaving Odalia and Alador to exchange worried looks again. It looks like the Blights will be playing a big part in Belos' plans. And Amity might not be quite out of the woodworks yet with her family life.

Looks like Luke has finally realized his true feelings for Amity. Will he win her heart? And what use does Belos have for the Abomatons?

Up next, Luke, Lilith, Hooty and King venture out into a hidden island, the island where Eda and King met. It's there, King discovers he may not be what he claimed himself to be.
