Danny exhaled, shifting in the bed. Staying at one of the various beds in the bar wasn't bad, but Danny still found himself trying to find Sam. Charles refused to give him a time or date for the best time to run into the man. Mostly because it would supposedly 'mess with the timeline'. Instead, Danny had to do this the hard way. He asked his ghostly friends for help, mostly Kitty, Johnny, and Shadow because they were more than happy to help.

Things would have been fine, Danny is more than content in staying in this bed until he got news. The idea of being a functioning man wasn't appealing, he could barely bring himself to do so. How can he do more than manage the zone when he could very well be meeting-and ruining his relationship with- Sam tomorrow? He couldn't.

So, instead, Danny burrowed his face into the pillows. Waiting as time ticked by for his next tragedy. Which didn't seem to take that long when a sudden ripple of energy forced it's way through him. Immediately Danny was jumping from the bed, eyes glowing as he focused to try an pinpoint where the energy blast was coming from. Another ripple followed.

He tore his way down the steps, bursting into the bar. Quickly glancing to confirmed anyone still there were of the ghostly nature.

"Pandora!" Danny called, finally stopping, standing between two bar stools. Hands planted on the wooden counter, and eyes trained on the bartender. "Did you feel that?"

"Feel what?" Pandora asked, topping off a drink before turning to her young prodigy.

"You didn't feel that?" Danny pointed off in the distance as another ripple flowed through him. "That's the third time it's happen!"

Pandora paused, watching the smaller spirit closely before her features suddenly shifted. "What does it feel like?"

"Like... Like a ripple of energy? Like Ember is using her sonic music without the hypnosis part." Danny fumbled over his words for the best way to describe it, but with every words Pandora's eyes grew darker, and every shade it went Danny felt just a little bit more terrified.

"Go see Charles." Danny blinked, back immediately straightening. Without another word, a portal opened to Danny's left. A pointed look from Pandora had him moving without a second thought.

What the hell was going on?

"Stopwatch, I need English please." Danny groaned, head thumping on one of the desks littering the Clock Tower.

"As I've said, the ripples are a disturbance in the force." Charles explained, eyes flipping through various mirrors. What he was seeing, Danny couldn't tell, but it was obviously important if this supposed disturbance didn't seem important.

"Yes yes, but you haven't helped me figure out how the hell to stop it." Danny groaned as yet another ripple flowed through him. "At this rate I might just hurl."

"I've told you where to start." The elder spirit mused, moving along the walls of mirrors. "Time will tell the rest."

"You're my royal advisor!" Danny exhaled, standing up straight. "What kid of advise is that?!" Annoyance flared in Danny when Charles finally turned to look at him, a smile lacing his lips.

"Never mind, don't answer that." Danny grounded out, holding a hand up as yet another ripple assaulted his already nauseous stomach. "Just answer me this, am I in the right place?" Danny asked pointedly, glancing towards the window. He needed to know if the disturbance is in the zone or in the living. There's only so much time he can waste if this is as serious as it feels. Which means he needed to start in the right place.

"As you are."

"This is the biggest amount of horse shit." Danny grumbled walking along the snowy landscape. He's gone through so many of the different homes, and paradises throughout the zone, and he still had so many more to go. It's not exactly fun giving Kempler a visit, or taking a trip to Undergrowth's domain. No matter where he went, no matter how many ripples he felt, not a single clue was given.

So, he decided to turn to that one person he knew was always honest and happy to help.

"Frostbite!" Danny called, quickly flying over to the giant yeti.

"I need your help!" Danny jolted, surprised when the Yeti's words mirrored his own. "Hold on, Frostbite what's going on?" Danny followed up, settling in front of the frazzled yeti.

"Great One, Farbauti's saber has been disturbed." The yeti explained, moving with urgency. Danny quickly floated along-side him, eyes scanning the other citizens of the Far Frozen.

"Wait, is he the one who first challenged Pariah all those years ago?" Danny asked, confused lacing his words. Last he remembered all artifacts were safe in a chamber below them. "Has the chamber been breach?"

"Not at all, Farbauti's kin sealed it away some place among the living." Frostbite explained once they reached a cave, the walls littered with drawings of a powerful fight. The last few scenes showed a funeral, followed by a saber being locked away in a chest. "None could locate it, however when the seal is breached a powerful surge is sent out. All of us have felt it, the fear settles on who now wields the weapon."

"What happens if someone not of Far Frozen decent wields it?" Danny asked, dreading the answer.

"They will turn to ice." Frostbite grimly replied, Danny swallowed against another ripple. He noticed a slight grimace from Frostbite before the yeti continued. "We must find the saber before one of the living tries to bond with it."

"Not we, I know you want to help Frostbite, but if a hunter found it." Danny swallowed, this could unleash a typhon of attention of the Zone. "I'll do recon, see if I can find out what's going on."

"Godspeed."

"You're shitting me." Danny all but growled, glaring at the group teens from the shadows. All this stress, all this worry, and it's a group of drunk teens who messed with the wrong thing. Anger flared through him as he watched on of them rip the lid off the small wooden chest. The weathered engraves on it screamed Far Frozen, seeing it mistreated like this was pulling a dark emotion from Danny.

"Step away from the box." The teens jolted at the deep rumbled sounding from a corner of the room. A figure stepped out, a cloak covering most of it's features. The one with the crowbar held it up in shaking hands.

"No way man, we found this fair and square." Even in his attempt to sounds confident, his voice trembled. Danny exhaled, trying to reign in his anger.

"You have no clue what you are messing with." Danny's voice settled at it's normal octave as he stepped closer. The other two teens took a step back, but on the 'brave' one didn't move.

"Tristen, seriously, now isn't the time." One of the teens hissed from behind him, trying to tug on his hoodie. "Let him take what he wants!"

"What if he wants one of us!" Tristen cried, shaking his head. Danny couldn't stop the bubble of laughter even if he wanted to. The shock from the teens was almost palpable.

"I'm saving your lives." Danny explained, leaning down and popping the chest open with a small bit of ecto-energy. He pulled out the saber, admiring the icy blue of it. A glance over told him it was made by ghostly ice. "If a mortal were to wield the saber, you'd die."

"What the fuck..." The third teen trailed, eyes fixated on the sword.

"Don't tell a soul of what happened here." Danny warned, letting his energy pool to his eyes. "I'd know." A yelp sounded among the trio, pulling a smile from Danny. As much as they pissed him off to start, he knew this was something him and his friends would get into when he was their age.

"You've done it!" Danny smiled at Frostbite's enthusiasm at the sight of the saber. "Thank you Great One! We will move it to the chamber at once!"

"You know I'm always happy to help you." Danny replied, and sure the ripples stopping was a good bonus. However, Frostbite was always there for him.

"Oh..." Danny jolted, turning his gaze at the perplexed yeti.

"What is it?" Danny asked, peering down at the saber. He's never seen it up close before, only heard stories from the natives of the Far Frozen. The blade glowed, and screamed of other-worldly energy, but it was beautiful. The carve of it, paired with the sigils carved into the handle showed craftsman shift. With all the work Danny has put into his ice work, he doubts he could ever create something to majestic.

"Here, it's missing a small piece." Frostbite explained, pointing to a small divot that looked to once be filled. "I'm sure it's nothing." Frostbite dismissed even as he looked closely at the hole. Danny swallowed, feeling like this might be an issue.

"If you say so, anyways it's safe and sound for now." Danny mumbled. If the piece that was broken off looked anything like the rest of it, it was bound to catch someone's attention. All he can hope is that nothing would come of it.

With he's luck, something would.
