Before we begin, I'd like to give my thanks to Jimfire97 and AlekayNugent15 for their subscriptions. I appreciate the support and donation. I'm hoping to gain more subscribers soon.
Now onto the next chapter! Luke is sick and out of commission so Amity goes on a mission to Eclipse Lake in his place with Eda and King to get Titan Blood and she's met with competition from Hunter and Kikimora who are desperate to prove themselves to Belos. Who's going to get the Titan Blood first? Let's find out.
Also, Hunter and Amity will unlock new powers for this chapter!
Enjoy!
We go to the Emperor's Castle, where Belos has completely rebuilt the old portal door Luke had destroyed. He has an Abomaton inject a green substance into the door lock before using a pieced-together key to open it. However, the key is instantly vaporized. Nearby, Hunter (without his mask) secretly observes the test when Flapjack flies by and chirps. He quickly tries to swat the cardinal away.
Hunter: Shoo!
Belos: Would you like to see how it works, Hunter?
Hunter gasps to see he is spotted and hides Flapjack, who turns into his wood form, in his cloak before approaching.
Hunter: I didn't mean to hide… Emperor Belos.
Belos turns around, revealing his true face with a smile for the very first time. His face is white, his eyes are blue, and his hair is grey and shoulder-length. He looks like an elderly man, and his face has some sort of green scar on it.
Hunter and Belos look at the portal door.
Belos: We found every piece of the door. But without the power of the real key, it refuses to open.
Hunter: Is it true that rain doesn't boil in the Human Realm?
Belos: Belos smiles. It is. You know, I've been there before. Did I ever tell you that? Hunter shakes his head. The trees there are green. Nights are quiet. I look forward to seeing it again. Were you spying on me just to hear these boring stories?
Hunter: The operation at the Knee, why did you switch me out with Kikimora?
Belos escorts Hunter to the door with a seemingly kind look.
Belos: Everyone has a use, Hunter. Kikimora has her intricate little plans. The scouts carry out orders. And you, well, the Titan has big plans for you, and it would be such a hassle to find a replacement. So, right now, you can be useful by staying safe in the castle.
Hunter is led out of the room and looks at his uncle, confused and worried.
Hunter: If this is punishment for failing my last mission, I swear I can do better.
Belos: Belos just smiles. Goodnight, Hunter.
Belos closes the door, leaving Hunter unsatisfied and worried. If Kikimora succeeds in this mission, he may get replaced and demoted, further compromising his use to his uncle. Determined to prove his worth
Owl House Season 2B Intro
The eye of the old portal door opens, engulfed in flames.
Luke (with blue hair and new outfit) drops down with Rebellion and a Glyph Gun, giving his gun a spin and swung his sword as it opens, releasing electricity while he grins. Repede pops up from his shoulder.
Eda (in her new outfit) slides in from her right, spinning her Owl Staff and swinging to release energy. King pops up from her hair.
Willow emerges and lifts her arms as her eyes glow, summoning huge vines behind. Clover flies next to her.
Gus comes in with a book, summoning two illusions of himself striking poses besides him. Emmeline jumps onto his head.
Amity (with purple hair) twirls in from her right and with a grin her hands glow with purple energy, summoning Abomination goo. Ghost jumps onto her shoulder.
Lilith (in her new outfit and glasses) slides in from the left, spinning her Raven Staff and swinging to release energy like Eda did. Hooty pops out of her clock backpack.
Hunter (minus his mask, tunic or cloak) flash steps from the left with his Cardinal Staff. It turns into Flapjack happily chirping as he draws and swings Yamato, striking a pose and releasing a blade of energy.
A Boiling Isle mural appears, three windows flipping to briefly reveal Qrow, Darius and Eberwolf. The windows flip to reveal Qrow in his Devil Form, Darius in his Abomination form and Eberwolf in his Beast form.
Belos appears striking a powerful pose, his castle behind him as lightning strikes
Luke rode on his Wolf Staff like surfboard, zooming past Bonesborough, flying past Tinella Nosa, sharing a high-five with Gus, Willow being beside him with a plant releasing vines and evading guards that chase him down. Eda and King join in on the fun, riding Owl Staff together. After getting high enough Luke and Eda jump off, transforming into Devil Luke and Harpy Eda with Repede and King riding on them respectively. They have blast taking to the skies, even when they're chased by a massive monstrous worm-like monster lunging at them.
Then the scene changes back to the Owl House, where it's night-time, and stars twinkle in the sky as the quartet are on the roof and looking up into the sky, Harpy Eda holding her staff beside her, Devil Luke holding Rebellion downward with Repede and King riding his other shoulder. Luke and Eda revert back to normal and Luke, Repede and King share a look together. Luke opens a hand, sending a ball of light floating into the sky where it bursts to release a blinding flash.
Owl House: The Son of Sparda
Meanwhile, at the Owl House, Amity (now Luke's girlfriend) is walking down the hall holding a clipboard. She looks out a window.
Amity: Hooty, what's your status?
Hooty: Hooty breaks through a window. The perimeter's secured. Nothing's getting past me!
Amity: Good. Amity walks off. Clean up that mess.
Hooty: Ma'am.
Hooty sweeps the broken window pieces away with his neck.
In the kitchen, Willow (in her casual clothes), accompanied by Clover, places bags down on the table. Amity walks up in front of them.
Amity: Willow, have you gathered the supplies?
Willow: Willow salutes. Yes, we are ready to attack this on all fronts.
Amity: Amity gives a thumbs up. Excellent.
Ghost walks up to Amity, leaving a dead spider at her feet.
Amity: Aww, Ghost. Did you help too? She gives Ghost a chin scratch. Who's a good palisman? Great, now all we need is—
Gus and King enter, Emmiline on Gus' shoulder. Gus (in his casual clothes) is holding CDs while King has a speaker and a disc hanging off his intact horn.
Gus: Rain? Beach waves?
King: Something called "lo-fi beats to study and relax to"? We've got it all.
Gus: Eda was rummaging through her basement and gave us some soothing human noises.
Amity: That's great. Wait. Eda's still here?
Amity enters the living room.
Amity: Eda, you're supposed to be helping Hooty build our defenses. Huh?
Eda's busy clenching with an intense look on her face, growling and flexing her muscles until she lets out a scream.
Eda: Whoo! She wipes off sweat. Ah, don't mind me. I'm just learning how to turn into Harpy Eda on command, like how Luke can easily turn into Devil Luke. According to these human workouts, you just gotta scream a lot until you force your inner beast out.
Eda starts grunting and screaming again while an unnerved Amity picks up a VHS box titled Dragon Ball Z and looks it over. The box has Goku, Vegeta, and every other DBZ character on it.
Amity: This looks ancient.
Eda: What? No. It's only… Eda recoils in surprise. 30 years old? I remember seeing this in theatres.
Amity: Yes, you're old. Who cares? We have a crisis on our hands.
Eda: Chill, bossy boots. Everything's fine.
Eda is now being dragged by Amity through the hallway to Luke's room.
Amity: Fine? Fine!? You call this fine!?
They halt near Luke's door, right in front of Repede, who barks aggressively and holds out his paw. He's wearing a police cap and a pair of sunglasses.
Repede: Woof, woof!
Eda: Show you our ID's? Empty our valuables? W-what is this!?
Amity: I've been having Repede guarding Luke's room. Don't worry, I got this.
Amity drops to a knee and presents her library card, which Repede takes a look at.
Repede: Woof!
Amity: We're clear. She looks back to Repede. Is our patient still in his room, Repede?
Repede: Woof, woof!
Amity: Excellent!
Eda: Repede, why are you dressed like that? Luke's just sick; he's not in prison.
Repede: Woof, woof! Woof!
Amity: Since he's playing guard dog to protect Luke, he might as well look and dress the part.
Eda: Meh. I guess I can't argue with that logic. Looks like Luke's boldness is rubbing off on you. But I don't see what the big deal is; the kid's fine.
Amity pushes the door open for her and Eda, gesturing to who's in front of them.
Amity: Does this seem fine to you?
Luke is lying on the floor in his pajamas, wearing socks on his hands and a towel on his forehead, and he is completely delirious. A small, humanoid abomination is holding a box of tissues next to him.
Luke: Whoa… It's like I have dog paws for hands.
Eda: Please, he just has the Common Mold. It's harmless.
Amity: But he's part human. We have no idea how it'll affect him!
Eda: Relax, he'll be fine. Eda walks up with a bowl containing orange liquid. Here, kid, this should help with your mold. Drink this liquid.
Eda bends down to Luke, lifting his head up to pour some liquid into his mouth. Luke bursts up hilariously, screaming painfully from the hot liquid and breathing steaming orange smoke. He calmly lies back down.
Luke: More, please.
Eda pours more into his mouth. When she finishes, she walks back to Amity.
Eda: See. There's nothing to worry about.
Luke sits up, pulling out the portal key.
Luke: Hmm. Maybe if I eat the portal key, I'll teleport straight to the Human Realm. There's only one way to find out.
Luke actually attempts to eat the key, but Repede snatches it and runs over to Amity with it in his mouth, offering it up as she strokes his fur.
Amity: Good boy, Repede!
Luke: Huh?
Amity: Amity puts the key around her neck. I am not giving this back until you're better, okay?
Luke growls in annoyance but then smiles before pulling out a wolf-head-shaped Tamagotchi and texts on it. Amity takes out her own device, which is shaped like a cat.
Eda: What is that thing?
Amity: Some communication device Luke gave me. He said it'd be a fun way for us to communicate since we're a couple. Though, I don't exactly understand what these symbols are supposed to mean.
She reads a line of emoji symbols reading, "U R PRETTY," from the side. She lowers it and sees Luke beaming.
Amity: Oh, uh... you got it!
Amity closes the door, leaving Luke confused.
Everyone has gathered outside his room.
Willow: Got to admit, Amity, seeing you around more often is different.
Amity: I know. But I was taught to see every situation as an opportunity. And today, I'll show Luke that I am an awesome girlfriend.
King: Feels like just a few months ago, you almost got him dissected by your crazy principal…
Gus: That was a few months ago.
King: And totally humiliated you in that witch's duel in front of the entire crowd at the Covention.
Gus: That was a couple days after.
Willow, Eda, and King laugh while Amity frowns in bemusement.
Amity: No one's ever gonna let me live that down, are they?
Eda: Eda pats her shoulder. No, we're not bossy boots. No, we're not.
Luke screams. Amity and Eda burst into his room.
Amity & Eda: Luke!
Jerry has begun a projection. Luke has a notepad and pencil ready.
Luke: Jerry! He's showing me something!
Philip: After five years, I have finally found it. A power source so potent it can pierce through realms. Titan's Blood. There are old tales of lakes reflecting green trees and blue skies. The Titan's vein runs through the land. And many believe that these wild portals are created when a little of its blood leaks into the water. That is how I came here. So that is the first place I shall look. I will journey back to Eclipse Lake.
The projection finishes. The echo mouse squeaks and scurries off as Luke draws out a picture of Eclipse Lake.
Luke: Eclipse Lake! Here I come!
To everyone's shock, Luke instantly transforms into his devil form and flies off. Amity ducks while Willow and Gus back away, Eda tries to catch Luke but fails, and he flies down the hallway.
Eda: Stop that hybrid!
Willow traces a spell circle, summoning multiple vines in front of Luke that ensnare and pin him to the ground.
King: Quick! Pile on him!
Everyone piles on Devil Luke, pinning him to the floor. After he reverts to human form, they're all struggling to carry and force him back into his room as he struggles to escape.
Willow: Luke, no. You are not well.
Gus: He is freakishly strong!
They tie the half-human boy in his sleeping bag and toss him onto the floor.
Luke: Let me go! I've gotta get to Eclipse Lake!
Amity: Luke, no! You're sick! You're in no condition to go!
Luke: But…!
Amity gets right in his face with a frighteningly deadly glare, pointing right to his chest.
Amity: End of discussion! Are we clear!?
Luke: Yes, ma'am! Wow… you are really scary when you want to be, huh, Boo?
Eda: Alright, Luke. Me and King will get your Titan blood if you just calm down and rest.
King: King excitedly jumps on Eda's shoulder. Yes! Perfect chance to take our new powers for a test drive!
Eda smiles in agreement, and Luke looks satisfied now.
Luke: Thanks. You guys are the best. I'll rest; you get the Titan Blood.
Luke hands his drawing to Eda, who starts to leave with King in tow.
Luke: You're gonna need an extra pair of hands with you.
Eda stops and turns with a sly grin.
Eda: Why? In case we get too sad you won't be with us?
Luke: No, in case something happens, you pull an Eda, and I won't be around to save your butt. Again.
Eda blushes in embarrassment, and King laughs at her.
Eda: Don't you verb me!
Eda becomes redder when Amity, Willow, and Gus join in on the laughter, much to her dismay.
Eda: Well, nice to see he's not too sick to pick on me.
King: That's good news.
Eda: Easy for you to say. He picks on me more than you.
King: That's why it's good news.
Luke: Can someone volunteer to take my place? Anyone?
Amity raises her hand and runs to Eda.
Amity: I volunteer! As Luke's girlfriend, I must—
Eda: I get it, boots. Just grab a coat.
Luke: Thanks, Ams. You're the greatest. Amity can't help but blush. Just make sure she doesn't do anything stupid.
Eda: Don't worry. That's not gonna happen while I'm around.
Luke: I was talking to Amity. Eda widens her eyes. You're the one who needs help.
Amity, Willow, Gus, and King can't help but snicker at the annoyed look on Eda's face.
Eda: Very funny, kid. Willow, Goops, watch over Luke. Willow and Gus nod. Repede, keep playing guard dog. Repede salutes with his paws. Kid's starting to think he's actually a wolf.
Luke moves his arms around again, then growls like a wolf, making Willow and Gus flinch. And with that, Eda, Amity, and King shut the door and walk down the hall.
Amity: Question: Has his dad picked on you that much growing up?
Eda: Yes! Every day, and I hated it! He's just like his old man.
King: Yet, that's one of the reasons you like him so much.
Eda smiles, unable to deny the truth in those words.
We now go to the knee where several scouts and Abomatons are mining. Kikimora is standing on an Abomaton's shoulder, wearing snow gear; a captain stands next to her.
Kikimora: Dig faster, scouts.
Guard Captain: Kikimora, these tunnels are unstable. Maybe we should slow down.
Kikimora: Kikimora groans. Not now, Captain. This could be my last chance to show Belos what I can do. And I just know that brat, Golden Guard, will try to spoil it. The Abomaton walks over. Hey, Steve. Jump over that chasm before I throw you in it.
The Captain sighs and shakes her head. Kikimora has grown paranoid after her humiliation at the hands of Hunter in Latissa. Now she's desperate to prove herself to Belos and upstage the Golden Guard.
Guard Captain: She's getting so paranoid.
Nearby, Hunter, wearing a coven scout uniform, hides behind a tree. He lifts his mask and turns to spot Flapjack standing nearby on a tree root, causing him to gasp.
Hunter: Why do you keep following me? Flapjack chirps. I don't speak palisman. Here's the plan. I slip in with this disguise. I find the Titan blood before Kiki. I give it to Belos. Boom! I'm useful again.
Hunter is forced to duck when the Abomaton fires a shot that destroys the tree. Kikimora glares in his direction and the Captain runs up.
Guard Captain: Ma'am, is everything alright?
Kikimora: I just thought I heard an annoying voice.
Hunter quickly runs off with Flapjack on his head; if Kikimora can recognize him just from hearing his voice, then there's no way he can blend in with her scouts.
Hunter: Another way in. We'll find another way in.
Flapjack chirps again and perches on an oak tree. Hunter stops, looking in his direction, and sees a problem walking nearby. And it's in the form of Amity, Eda, and King. Both witches are dressed for the weather, staffs in hand.
Hunter: The Owl Lady and her dog. And is that the youngest Blight? I haven't seen her since the Petrification Ceremony. I almost didn't recognize her with that purple hair.
Amity has the map and is looking at it as she leads the group.
King: This place is crawling with tools. What gives?
Eda: Titan blood is the most powerful source of magic on the Isles. I'm not surprised Belos wants it too.
Amity: Well, we can't afford to mess this up. Luke is counting on me. Eda and King shoot her a look. I mean us.
Hunter is formulating a new scheme. This may just work to his advantage.
Hunter: All right, new plan. They can lead us to—
Flapjack grabs his hair lock and starts pulling him down
Hunter: What?! Hey! Hey!
Hunter falls and screams down the slope, right in front of the small party with his mask on, surprising them.
Amity: A coven scout.
King raises his claws; Eda points her staff, and Amity prepares her magenta fire spell. Hunter lifts himself up, raising his hands.
Hunter: Uh, yes. I am but a humble scout, and I surrender.
King: Well, that was easy.
Eda: Not so fast, King. Don't you recognize that annoying voice?
Amity: Now that you mention it, it does sound annoyingly familiar.
Hunter: Hunter lowers his head. Why does everyone say that?
Now, the trio gets suspicious. Seeing no other choice but to fight, Hunter quickly sweeps Eda and Amity off their legs, and they fall on their backs with a shout. Amity summons her waist jar, forming a sharp spike of abomination goo, and launches a backhanded slice that Hunter evades by flipping back. He brings out his scabbard from behind, flicking Yamato out of it, much to Eda and Amity's surprise, now knowing who he is.
Eda: That sword!
Amity: It's him!
Becoming more serious, Amity steps forward nd sticks her staff into the ground. She grabs her coat and yanks it off, tossing her entire winter outfit (except her earmuffs and gloves) and revealing her battle outfit underneath it, including her white battle coat, which is zipped up for the snow. Eda and King stare in surprise as Amity forms her Abomination Chakrams.
King: Were you wearing that underneath the entire time!?
Eda: Whoa. Loving the new outfit boots. Is that coat made of Witch's Wool?
Amity: I wore it at the Conformatorium during the Petrification Ceremony. Emira made me a new coat after I lost my old one, thanks to this jerk!
Hunter casually rests his sword on his shoulder.
Hunter: Are you going to stand there talking about fashion, or are we gonna fight?
Dragon Ball Super – Antagonistic Battle
Irritated, Amity tosses her Chakrams at Hunter, who quickly deflects with a swing. Amity grabs her staff and leaps up, diving down to swing at Hunter, only for him to effortlessly parry and slam Amity in the stomach with the pommel of his scabbard. She's sent flying and screaming into a rock.
Eda brings out 3 Ice Glyphs and launches them, turning them into nine icicles. Hunter draws the Yamato and deflects the first two, ducking the third one, flipping between the next two, and spinning his katana to deflect the last four. Amity gets next to Eda; the Owl Lady launches flames from a Fire Glyph, and Amity traces a spell circle with her staff, unleashing magenta flames that combine with Eda's.
However, Hunter effortlessly blocks by spinning around his katana. He swings and cancels out the flames before flash-stepping behind Eda to send her flying and screaming with a flying kick to the back. Amity thrusts her staff, but Hunter flash-steps again, then a third time to slam his katana into her staff. Amity heavily grunts as she's forced back, barely blocking and holding Hunter back, who uses one arm.
Hunter: Huh. Not bad, Blight. You've gotten stronger.
Amity: Nice of you to notice.
Hunter: Don't let it get to your head. You're still no match for me.
Eda gives a battle cry, jumping from behind to swing her staff, only for Hunter to summon his Artificial Staff into his other hand to block Eda without looking. The Owl Lady pushes but is stuck.
Hunter: And neither are you, Owl Lady. I see you didn't learn anything from our last encounter.
Eda growls in anger. Hunter delivers a kick in Amity's chin, sending her flying and screaming. He tosses his katana into the air to grab his staff and flips behind Eda as the staff hits the snow. She turns just as Hunter spins around his staff to deliver a kick in the face, sending Eda screaming and smashing into a rock. Amity runs forward, forming a spiked glove to throw two punches at Hunter, only for him to casually dodge them while resting his staff on his shoulder. He spins around Amity to deliver a kick to the back. Her goo goes back into her jar as she turns growling. She then delivers a couple thrusts with her staff, only for Hunter to parry, then slam the butt of his staff in her stomach, causing Amity to gasp for air.
Hunter sticks his staff in the snow again to spin around Amity and deliver a double kick to her back that sends her screaming and sprawling across the snow. Refusing to give up, Amity uses her staff to stand.
Amity: I'm not letting you beat me again! Luke's counting on me to get that Titan Blood.
Hunter: Titan Blood!?
Hunter shoots out red energy blasts from his staff at Amity as she runs, dodging the first one and deflecting the second.
Eda: Boots, catch!
Eda tosses an Invisibility Glyph for Amity to catch and activate. She disappears, and Hunter is caught by surprise, but he quickly thrusts his staff to fire another blast, only for Amity to clash and redirect his staff upwards with her own. The blast flies up instead. Amity and Hunter share a look as they lock staffs. Then Eda leaps from behind to toss two Plant Glyphs behind Hunter, and two massive vines erupt from beneath to impale him. He quickly Flash-Steps, and they miss, much to Amity's frustration.
Amity: Ugh! He always does that!
Eda: We need to find a way to counter that, or we'll never beat him.
Hunter: Good luck with that.
Eda and Amity turn to see Hunter behind them, sticking his staff into the snow as he holds up his hand and catches Yamato. He swings his katana upwards, sending a blade of energy that prompts the two witches to jump out of the way. Hunter swings and launches more energy blades. Amity slides underneath one, and Eda pole vaults over the other.
Hunter unleashes another, prompting Eda to activate an Ice Glyph, summoning a wall of ice to block, only for it to shatter, the force of which sends her flying and screaming. She skids across the snow, losing her staff.
Amity: Eda!
Just as Amity looks back to Hunter, he unleashes another energy blade, and she quickly forms a large abomination shield in front of her, only for the blade to blow it up and send her screaming, too. She loses her staff, roughly landing next to Eda on her back.
Hunter casually rests Yamato on his shoulder.
Hunter: Well, that was easy.
He walks over to his staff and picks it up. Amity and Eda lift themselves up to see Hunter cross both his weapons.
Hunter: You two never stood a chance.
He swings and charges towards the witches with a battle cry. The girls gasp, bracing themselves until King comes to the rescue, landing right in front of them.
King: WEH!
King unleashes his Sonic Wave, catching Hunter off-guard, stopping him in his tracks, and blowing away both his weapons. Yamato and the Artificial Staff stick to the snow, much to his shock. At that moment, Eda and Amity swing their staffs together, smacking Hunter, and he slams into the slope. He drops on his butt and looks to see Eda and Amity point their staffs right at him, and King is standing next to them.
Eda: Nice job, King.
Hunter: What the heck was that!? Since when has your dog been able to do that!?
King: This dog has just unlocked his own magic. Or, as I'd like to call it, my Sonic Wave.
Hunter quickly kicks both staffs away from him. He somersaults and runs toward the Yamato and his Artificial Staff.
Eda: Don't let him get away!
Amity sends out the Abomination goo from her jar to tie up Hunter before he can reach his weapons. He falls and loses his mask and scabbard. The trio surrounds him, getting a good look at Hunter's face for the very first time, but recognizes him from Luke's descriptions.
Aelita: Is this…?
Eda: Yup. This is the true face of Belos' right-hand man.
Amity: The Golden Guard? This what he looks like under his mask? The same jerk I lost to in the Conformatorium and stabbed Luke in the chest? He is a lot… sicklier than I imagined.
King laughs; Eda grins while Hunter growls.
With Hunter as their prisoner, Amity, Eda, and King have made their way inside the mine, with the former keeping an eye on the Golden Guard. Eda bursts through a wall with a flip and lands, the Yamato strapped to her back.
Eda: Did I do it? Did I go into Harpy Mode?
King: King enters through the hole. No. You just screamed "hoot" and ran headfirst into a wall of ice. He walks past an annoyed Eda. Pretty funny actually.
As Eda follows him, Amity pushes a captive Hunter along through the hole, her staff aimed at him with a glare. Hunter isn't fazed despite being tied up.
Hunter: You can put down your staff. I won't run.
Amity: Too bad, because I don't trust you, especially since you humiliated me at the Conformatorium and tried to kill me and my boyfriend.
Hunter: Your boyfriend? Wait, you and the human are dating!? Amity blushes in embarrassment. Well, what do you know. You truly are special to the human. I was wondering when you two would hit it. You have my congratulations, Blight.
Amity: Oh, uh… thank you. She double-takes. Hey, wait a minute! Don't change the subject by acting sweet!
Hunter: Are you that upset about me defeating you at the Conformatorium? It's not my fault if you're too weak. Amity growls at that. You really need to move on, Blight.
Amity: You stabbed my boyfriend twice! Three if you count the Covention!
Hunter: And he survived… miraculously. And I was just doing my job. So, three words: get over it.
Eda and King take a look at some mining equipment.
Eda: Huh, this stuff is old.
Hunter: Ancient witches used to mine the veins for Titan blood—
Amity: They're not paying attention.
They look at King sitting on a drill-like device as Eda stands in front of it.
Eda: Go on, fire it. Maybe the adrenaline will kick in, and bam, Harpy Eda.
King: Sounds perfectly safe!
Activates the drill, and it glows.
Hunter: Wait. Don't.
Too late, the drill fires off a beam that bounces around the walls. When it heads for the teenage witches, Amity creates an abomination sphere, absorbing and crushing the beam. Eda and King stare at them as Amity places the goo in her jar.
Hunter: This isn't a normal cave! These walls are made from the veins of the Titan. Any magic you shoot will bounce right back at you!
Eda: Huh, you must be fun at parties. Maybe you and Luke aren't so alike.
Hunter: And you are clearly not nearly as smart as you make yourself out to be.
King: See?
Eda glared at King.
Hunter: That drill could've blasted what little brains you had left. For someone who claims to be a wise old hag, that was an insanely stupid move.
Amity: Ouch. Then again, maybe you two are similar.
Eda: Anyway, King, how about you use your new powers to echolocate the lake?
Amity: Are you sure that's a good idea? What if that monster from last time hears us?
Hunter: What monster?
Amity: A giant Chimera-looking creature that's a grotesque combination of animals. Body of a lion, a scorpion's tail…
Hunter: Four wings, blind eyes, giant scar over his left eye?
Amity is surprised by this. That matches Beowulf's description.
Amity: Yeah. How'd you know?
Hunter: Let's just say I ran into a monster like that the last time I was at the knee, and it won't be a bother anymore.
Amity, Eda, and King widen their eyes from what Hunter is alluding to them.
Eda: You didn't…
Hunter: I did. Sliced his face clean off and left him for dead.
The entire group gasp with gaping mouths of shock, and Amity slaps a hand on hers while Hunter just shrugs.
Hunter: A shame it was blind. It might've had a chance if it could see better. A challenge would've been greatly appreciated.
Once again, Hunter gives another example of how similar he and Luke are. They may seem like polar opposites, but the use of their powers, their smart mouths, noble warrior natures, and insanely violent tendencies make it seem like they're practically related. Almost like brothers…
King: Is he like Luke or what?
Eda: I hear ya, kiddo. These boys are so similar that it's scary.
Amity clears her throat.
Amity: Changing the subject… Eda, what was that about echolocating the lab?
Eda: Oh, right! King, do your thing.
King: Haha, okay!
King stops at a tunnel and takes a deep breath.
King: Weh!
He lets out a Sonic Wave that resonates throughout the tunnels. A few moments pass until King looks at his companions and shrugs.
King: Eh-eh.
Both Amity and Hunter deadpan at this.
Hunter: Those two are definitely gonna get us caught.
Amity: "Us"? There is no us. Now keep walking.
Hunter shrugs, and they move on, Flapjack chirping as it follows close by.
Back at the Owl House, the three caretakers are in the kitchen: Willow's making a pot of soup with Clover on her shoulder while Gus and Hooty are sitting at the table with Emmeline lying near Gus.
Gus: Hooty, we're not gonna make Luke listen to 24 hours of whale noises. What even is a whale? It looks terrifying.
Hooty: Well, I've never heard of underground Korean hip-hop before.
Gus: It's human music, and it's soothing.
Gus hums music, and Hooty tries to impersonate a whale, moving to the music. As they go on, Willow starts to get annoyed. She turns around.
Willow: Will you guys please be quiet!? Gus and Hooty silently stare at Willow. What if we play them at the same time?
Gus and Hunter turn to each other in glee.
Gus & Hooty: Ooh!
Back in the mines, the group of Amity, Eda, and King march through the mine with their prisoner Hunter. Eda and King lead while Amity keeps an eye on their captive.
Eda: You know, Luke told me about a trip to Latissa where he met someone very interesting.
As they go, Flapjack is shown flying around and perching on rocks. Eda aims a smirk at Hunter.
Eda: A beat-up blonde with no magical powers. He called him, and these are his words, "a badass but tormented little man. Sad, very sad."
King bursts out laughing as Hunter turns pink with rage.
Hunter: If I ever see that human again-!
Amity: Watch it! You're already on thin ice with me after almost killing my boyfriend twice! You're lucky I'm not pounding you right now!
Hunter: You? Pound me? Hunter annoys Amity with a chuckle. Don't make me laugh, Blight. Don't tell me you're already forgetting how badly I beat you at the Conformatorium. You're out of your league.
Amity: Hey! I'm not the same witch you fought during the Petrification. I'll have you know I'm a LOT stronger than I was back then!
Eda smiles from listening to this childish bickering.
Hunter: So, what if you are? You might be stronger, but you're still no match for me.
Amity: I don't think you're in any position to brag since I have you tied up, and you're powerless without your weapons.
Hunter: One, I'm only in this position because your dog caught me off-guard with his newfound powers.
King: And proud of it.
Hunter: Two, I don't need magic to kick both your butts. Amity growls again. I still have my combat training. Believe me, when I get out of this and take back MY katana… Eda raises her eyebrows, then frowns. You'll both be on your knees begging for mercy and-
Eda: It's not yours.
Everyone looks to Eda.
Hunter: I'm sorry, what?
Eda stops and angrily turns around, bringing out Yamato and holding it in front of her with her other hand.
Eda: The Yamato isn't yours! This katana belonged to one of my dearest friends. She walks up to Hunter, who's unfazed, as she points the scabbard at him. Belos had no right taking it! And you have no right using it or even touching it, for that matter! You know nothing about this katana's power or its owner.
Hunter has an uncaring look.
Hunter: The only thing I need to know is the Yamato once belonged to the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda, who is dead, so Belos has a right to it, and he passed it down to me. He trusts me the most to help him in his mission to save the Boiling Isles from wild witches like yourself, Owl Lady. He's a real saviour, unlike Sparda.
Eda growls, King glares, and Amity gets angry.
Amity: Your emperor is no saviour. He's a killer! He killed Sparda in cold blood! He executed every single devil that lived on the isles! They weren't even criminals!
Hunter: Emperor Belos killing Sparda was purely out of self-defense. And the devils weren't executed. They were banished for involvement in the Dark Knight's grudge against Belos. My uncle's no murderer. He's trying to protect the isles and keep everyone safe from wild witches like Sparda.
Eda: You don't know anything about Sparda! You hear me! You know NOTHING!
Hunter: Hunter remains unfazed. I know that he somehow had a son.
Eda, Amity, and King's faces contort with shock.
Eda: Huh?
King: Weh?
Amity: What!? What are you talking about?
Hunter: Hunter turns his head. So, it's true. The human, Luke, is the Son of Sparda. Am I right?
The trio gasps in shock; how'd he know that?
Hunter: I'll take that as a yes.
Amity: How did you know that?
Hunter: That monster you were worried about earlier… before I killed it, it was talking about how it fought the Son of Sparda. I did a little investigating. Scouts in Bonesborough said your group went in the direction of the Knee. I didn't know Sparda, but Belos has shown me images of him. Luke's resemblance to him, the way that sword of his reacts, and his devil powers. I put two and two together and realized Sparda had sired a son, half-human, half-demon. Your human, Luke, is actually a hybrid, isn't he? The Son of Sparda.
The trio is shocked to hear how Hunter has pieced all of this together.
Eda: Huh. You're quite clever. Fine, I'll admit it, Luke is Sparda's son.
King: But so, what if he is?
Amity: Yeah, why does it matter to you, Golden Guard?
They all continue walking forward.
Hunter: It doesn't matter to me. I was just confirming, nothing more. Though, the emperor will be interested in hearing this.
Eda: Pfft. Like Luke would care. If you get out of this alive, tell Belos if you want, like the loyal little lapdog you are.
King: Ooh! Alliterations!
Hunter: At least I'm not delusional enough to think I can turn into a harpy.
Eda turns around, viciously hissing.
King: Hey. Come on. Give it a rest, you two.
Hunter: Yeah, listen to your rat.
King makes an angry, indignant noise and jumps onto Hunter, violently pulling his hair. Amity steps up.
Amity: Shh.
They peek over a metal wall on the edge of their cliff to spot Kikimora with her party entering the area after having found the entrance into the mines. They're accompanied by 7 Abomatons, two scouts, and the Captain. Kikimora is looking quite anxious and paranoid as the Captain leads the way but then halts.
Kikimora: Why are we stopping? Is it the Golden Guard?
Guard Captain: No, ma'am. This is a dangerous area. We need to move carefully.
Kikimora: Careful takes too long. My butt is on the line, and so help me, Titan, if you ruin this, I will throw you off the tallest peak of the Knee with a smile!
Flapjack catches up. The trio watches in pity while Hunter just deadpans at Kikimora's paranoid raving.
Eda: Oh, that poor girl is going through something.
Hunter: Yeah, Kiki's always been jealous of my position as the Golden Guard and the fact, Belos trusts me to get anything done more than her.
Amity: Didn't you have a fight with her in Latissa?
Hunter: Yeah. And I knocked her out, guess that's why she's on edge. Not that I really care. I never liked her, and she never liked me. Nothing much clearer than that.
Amity: She's also blocking the path to Eclipse Lake.
Amity points over to another tunnel behind Kikimora's party as the gremlin raves.
Kikimora: I can smell it, I can see it, I can see...
Hunter: You know, if you guys release me and give me back the Yamato, I can easily take down Kikimora and those Abomatons and cut a path for us to go further into the mine.
They all deadpan at the blonde.
Amity: Yeah, not a chance, blondie.
King: Yeah, you're already a chest stabber. It wouldn't surprise us if you were also a backstabber.
Hunter: I won't turn on you. I swear.
Eda: Please, I know a liar when I see one. And you're crazy if you think I'm letting you lay a finger on my friend's sword again.
Hunter gives up and goes with his second option as they look back to Kikimora.
Hunter: Fine. Then, we should create a distraction.
Eda: Eda stands up. We should create a distraction! You kids wait for my signal.
Eda runs off with King, jumping down the cliff. Hunter casually sits down as Kikimora raves about her hatred towards Hunter.
Hunter: Huh, that was easy! When they're caught, you and I can take the Titan Blood for ourselves.
Amity: Amity glares. Stop talking like we're a team.
Hunter: We might as well be. The Owl Lady and her pet have nothing at stake, unlike us.
Amity: You have no idea what you're talking— Her Tamagotchi beeps: she briefly places her hand over her pocket. I was gonna say you have no—
It beeps again, and Hunter gives her a look. Amity grunts, turns, and takes out the device to check the messages. As usual, she doesn't understand the messages behind the emoji symbols. Hunter peeks over.
Hunter: Oof. That doesn't look good.
Amity: Stay back! Hunter shrugs, backing up. But what doesn't look good?
Hunter: Seems clear to me. "Come back with results or else..." You can figure out the rest.
Amity: No. She turns with a glare. Luke wouldn't make that kind of threat. I'm an awesome girlfriend.
Hunter: Has he told you that? Amity just grunts while Hunter leans back. We have a lot in common, Blight. We're both trying to show what we can bring to the table. And we can't fail 'cause there's nothing worse than disappointing someone who thinks you're special.
As Hunter looks away, Amity bites her lips, looking down at her device in sadness, contemplating the truth behind Hunter's words. That's exactly how she feels. If she doesn't come back with Titan Blood, Luke will be disappointed. Their relationship will be in danger before it begins.
Meanwhile, Eda is bent near King.
Eda: Okay, watch this. She pulls her hair over her face, making it look like a face. I'll be the ghost of miner's past and spook'em out!
King: You look like one of my hairballs. Let's just do the trench coat thing.
A magenta fireball flies between them. They both scream as they duck, and the fireball bounces around the area, nearly hitting Kikimora, causing the Abomaton to summon an oracle shield to protect the scouting party. Eda and King rejoin Amity and Hunter, now making a break for the tunnel.
Eda: Why didn't you wait for our signal?
Amity: We don't have time to play around. We are getting that Titan blood.
As they go, Amity's Tamagotchi falls out of her pocket, and Flapjack continues to follow.
Back at the Owl House, Luke is playing with Jerry's ears.
Luke: Little mouse, Owl House, frilly blouse. Bap.
Luke taps the echo mouse's head, and its eyes glow, projecting the rest of Philip's diary entry on Eclipse Lake.
Philip: My journey to Eclipse Lake has been a success, and yet, a tragic failure. The tunnels were filled with a substance known as Fool's Blood. It signifies a decaying vein. I was lucky to get out alive. My companions were not.
The projection ends, and Luke is horrified by what he's just learned. Eclipse Lake has no Titan Blood. The Fool's Blood there could kill his mentor, little brother, and girlfriend.
Luke: Oh no. Oh crap! I gotta warn them! G-Gotta call!
Luke reaches for the crystal ball, but his vision is so blurry he accidentally knocks it over, breaking it.
Luke: Damn it!
In the kitchen, Willow, Gus, and Hooty are wearing headphones connected to a sound mixer with the palismen by their side, including Repede.
Gus: These two are train whistles in a thunderstorm and soothing opera screaming.
He plays it, and the mixer makes many noises, including the sound of a train whistle and thunder.
Luke: Willow? Gus? Hooty! Repede!
It's no good: they can't hear Luke or even see the soup boiling on the stove. Gus begins to tear up from the music.
Luke tries to go out the door.
Luke: Guys!
He ends up falling on his chest, too weakened to do anything.
Luke: Slag it! I gotta reach Amity! But how!?
He gasps, seeing his Tamagotchi on the floor in front of him.
Back in the mine, Amity's fireball keeps bouncing around until an Abomaton catches it.
Kikimora: There's someone else in the tunnels. I bet it's him. Find him!
The coven scouts and the captain run ahead. Kikimora finds Amity's device and picks it up.
In the tunnel, Flapjack keeps trying to sit on Hunter's shoulder.
Hunter: Hey. Find a different perch, bird.
Flapjack flies off, and when they arrive at the end of the tunnel, Amity and Eda gasp. They've found dark blue orbs piled together, forming bubble-like structures.
Eda: Is this Titan's Blood?
Amity: But Eclipse Lake is farther ahead.
King: Who cares? We did it.
Eda and King are about to touch, but Hunter knows what this substance really is.
Hunter: Stop! That's Fool's Blood. Don't touch it.
Eda: Oh, so you can keep it all for yourself? She scoffs. Hard pass.
Eda foolishly cracks open Fool's Blood with her staff. She comes to regret her actions when a massive crack forms on the floor, and it splits open; Eda and King fall down screaming. Hunter and Amity run over.
Amity: No!
She prepares to mount her staff.
Hunter: Wait. Take me with you!
Kikimora: Yoo-hoo! Golden Guard!
Kikimora's shadow is seen from the wall. Amity gasps to see them closing in. And this is the last thing Hunter needs right now.
Hunter: At least untie me so I can escape. Amity hesitates. Please. I don't want to be replaced.
Unable to ignore the fear, desperation, and pleading on Hunter's face, Amity gives in to her new kindness.
Amity: Ugh! Fine! She traces a circle, and Hunter is untied, with the goo going back into her jar. So, where will you go now?
Hunter: Now...
Hunter grins and swiftly sweeps Amity off her feet. She screams and hits the floor with a grunt. The Golden Guard hops into a minecart.
Hunter: I get to Eclipse Lake before anyone. Bye!
Hunter rides the cart down, Flapjack following him once again.
Amity: That jerk.
Her hand bursts into flames, but before she can do anything, a shadow looms over her, and a spear is aimed at her. Amity sees Kikimora, and her scouting party stands in front of her.
Kikimora: Ooh. Would you look at this, Captain? We found our little fire starter.
Kikimora is pacing around, the scouts and captain looming over Amity, down on the ground. One of the Scouts is holding her Cat Staff.
Kikimora: So... the Golden Guard is also looking for Titan's Blood, and he took off to Eclipse Lake. I knew it. She crazily rubs her hands. That little snake is always making me look bad. Well, now I can get my revenge!
Captain: The captain clears her throat. Ma'am, what about the Titan Blood?
Kikimora: Oh, yes. I'll get that too.
Kikimora claps her hands, and the Abomaton turns into a minecart she hops into. She chuckles gleefully, relaxing on her cart.
Kikimora: This is going to be a good day.
Captain: What should we do with the girl?
Kikimora: Oh, I don't… care.
The other Abomatons form into carts for the scouts to get in. Kikimora and the Coven Scouts ride the minecarts down the shaft, screaming with glee. The captain turns to Amity.
Captain: So… uh… did you come with anyone else or...? Ugh! This is boring!
The Guard Captain grabs Amity by the collar and throws her down the crack, tossing down her Tamagotchi not long after. Amity screams as she falls until she's caught by something, and she narrowly catches her device. It turns out Eda caught her, and she and King stopped falling after jamming her staff against the walls. Now they're hanging onto it. Amity climbs up.
Amity: Guys, you're okay.
Eda: Oh, just barely. Owlbert's knocked out, so we can't fly.
Sure enough, Owlbert's got swirls in his eyes, a little cracked and unable to fly them out. There is only one hope of saving them now.
King: I'm just, like, throwing it out there, but this would be a great time to bring out Harpy Eda.
Eda: I don't know how! I've tried yelling at it, scaring it.
Owlbert hoots in pain; he's starting to crack. It's only a matter of time before he snaps, and they all die.
King: Did you ever think about talking to it?
Eda: Ha! I… She double-takes. I guess I didn't, but it—it's a wild animal.
King: You thought I was a wild animal once.
Owlbert cracks even more. Seeing no other option, Eda makes a gambit.
Eda: Okay, I'll try. Just… give me a second.
Eda shuts her eyes. A few seconds pass, and she's now talking with the Owl Beast.
Eda: What? You wanna make a deal? Wait. I-I don't know if I can.
Owlbert hoots again, cracks spreading further.
Eda: Okay, okay. I'll do it. Just change NOW!
Eda's eyes turn dark, and her irises glow yellow.
Back above, as Eda transforms, a flash of gold light can be seen in the crack, and Harpy Eda bursts out carrying the kids in her arms and her staff with her foot.
Eda: AHA! YES!
King: What did you promise to do?
Eda: I don't wanna talk about it.
Eda flies down the shaft. Owlbert detaches from the staff and flies into Eda's hair.
King: I can't wait to see a real-life minecart chase.
Eda stops when they arrive in another part of the mines to see the scouting party's minecarts have crashed, partly Hunter's doing, and because the tracks around here are broken. All the scouts and captain are lying around in pain, and Amity's Cat staff is stuck in the ground. The trio wince at this sight.
Eda: Ooh.
King: Guess minecart chases are a lot more dangerous than video games make 'em seem.
Amity spots and reclaims her confiscated staff, relieved to see Ghost is okay. She gasps and points at something going on below.
Amity: Look over there!
The trio looks down to see Hunter tied up in goo again and surrounded by 5 Abomatons, with Kikimora standing on one, looking down on the Golden Guard, his hair a little dishevelled from having to fight off the scouting party. Kikimora chuckles evilly and crazily.
Kikimora: Today truly is a good day! The Titan must be smiling down upon me! I've finally got you, Golden Brat! I knew you'd come here to mess everything up!
Hunter: Hunter merely looks away. Hmph.
Eda, King, and Amity all watch with concerned looks mid-air.
King: Uh oh. This doesn't look good.
Amity: What do we do?
Eda: Shh!
Kikimora jumps down from her Abomaton and walks up to Hunter, talking in his face.
Kikimora: What were you hoping for when you came down here? Redemption for your humiliating failure in Latissa? She laughs. It must be infuriating to know that Belos has put more trust in me to get anything done now. And you're now a prisoner in your own home!
Hunter continues looking away, unfazed.
Kikimora: What's wrong, Golden Guard? Cat got your tongue?
Hunter looks back to Kiki with a grin.
Hunter: I'm sorry, I didn't hear that. Nor did I see you there. Must be because you're so small, shrimpy, and unnoticeable.
Kikimora becomes speechless, her cheeks turning red with rage and embarrassment, and she is unable to form any words. Eda, Amity, and King are forced to cover their mouths, snickering a little at Kiki getting roasted. She angrily points at Hunter.
Kikimora: Laugh it up, Golden Brat! Just wait till I tell Belos of your interference in MY mission!
Hunter: Sure, why don't we go down together, then, Kiki? You rat me out, then I'll tell Belos of YOUR interference in MY mission. And how you tried to have me killed. If you and your little pet hadn't gotten in my way in my last mission, I would've successfully delivered all those palismen to Belos. And neither of us would be in this situation. You're lucky I've kept my mouth shut about it so far.
Kikimora: Am I supposed to be grateful?
Hunter: I expect you to know your place, shrimp.
Kikimora: Kikimora is getting angrier. Don't call me by that name! However, I am curious right now, how would you know I was the one who tried to kill you in Latissa?
Hunter: I don't know, Kiki; how would I know?
After a few seconds of silence from Hunter and remembering his burnt lock of hair after returning from Latissa, Kikimora puts two and two together, confirming her suspicions.
Kikimora: Oh, so my suspicions were correct. It was you who attacked me in Latissa when my vision was impaired by that mist!
Hunter: Maybe. Maybe not. So, what if I did?
Kikimora: You made a complete fool of me that day! She tents her fingers. But that may work to my advantage. By attacking me, you've committed an act of treason, attacking a fellow coven official and helping the human escape with the palismen. She maniacally rubs her hands together. I can't wait to tell Belos about this! When I do, he'll snap you in two, and I'LL BECOME THE NEW GOLDEN GUARD! Better yet, I may even become the emperor's successor!
Devil May Cry 4: Awaken 2 - Awaken Diabolic Sword
She laughs maniacally but is cut off when Hunter snorts and bursts into hysterical laughter at Kikimora's declaration. Eda, Amity, and King watch from above, confused, while Kikimora glares in annoyance.
Kikimora: What's so funny!?
Hunter: You!? The new Golden Guard!? Oh man, just thinking about that is so hilarious!
Kikimora: What is that supposed to mean?!
Hunter: Hunter still laughs as he speaks. Even if Belos were to replace me, you are the LAST person he'd ever pick to give the rank of Golden Guard! You fall into the toilet like once a day!
Kikimora blushes at that, her eyes furrowing in fury. The trio above are struggling to hold in their laughter.
Hunter: It's kinda sad to see how you need this much help to get anything done. Face it, Kiki. Even if you kill me now, it won't change anything. You'll always be Belos' left hand. Hmph, not even his left hand. You're so pathetic you're not even worth being considered for such a position. Belos would rather chew on his own bones than make you his right hand. You're no coven official, Kiki. You're just a sad little girl.
Kikimora is starting to go red with pure rage, her eyes full of vehemence.
Kikimora: You always do this to me! When I'm on the verge of achieving glory, you swoop in and make me look like a fool! You always look down on me, thinking you're better than me!
Hunter: I am better than you. You're just too pathetic to accept that.
Kikimora: SILENCE!
Kikimora slaps Hunter, making him grunt a little. She walks off, but not before Hunter throws one last mockery.
Hunter: Even your slaps are pathetic.
Clenching her fists in hate and having had enough of Hunter's insults, Kikimora throws her head around.
Kikimora: KILL HIM!
Her Abomaton stretches its arms and slams it into Hunter, smashing and pinning him against the wall. Hunter gives a heavy grunt, and then… the other Abomatons form an arm into swords, blasting them towards Hunter, and to the horror of the trio above, Hunter is impaled in the stomach, gut, and arms.
Eda, Amity, and King gasp in sheer disgust and horror at this brutal sight. They are so horrified they are frozen in place, unable to do anything. Hunter's face contorts with shock and pain, but not a single sound comes from him as he struggles to process the pain setting into his body, blood seeping out of him. Kikimora walks on one of the Abomaton's arms right up to Hunter's face with a smug look.
Kikimora: Does it hurt? That's only a fraction of the pain and humiliation you made me endure. I've been wanting to do this for a LONG TIME. I'm sure the emperor won't mind if his right-hand man died of a terrible accident. With my influence, I can make a convincing cover story. And when I'm finished with you, I'm going to toss you into the Boiling Sea! I'm going to make it so you don't go out as a coven official but instead as a true piece of trash that no one cares about. And-
Suddenly, Flapjack swoops in to repeatedly peck Kikimora, causing her to stumble around the goo arm, much to Hunter's surprise.
Hunter: It's you…!
Flapjack bites and pulls Kikimora's ponytail, causing her to cry out. Having had enough, Kikimora grabs and yanks Flapjack off her, causing Hunter, Amity, Eda, and King to gasp as the cardinal struggles to escape.
Kikimora: A palisman? She chuckles. You will make a good gift for Belos.
Hunter: Let him go, Kiki! She turns to see Hunter glaring at her and fighting through the pain. He has nothing to do with this! Don't you dare hurt him!
Kikimora: What's this? You actually care about this useless pigeon. Kikimora laughs. Oh-ho, that's rich! She gets in Hunter's face. Who's pathetic now, Golden Brat!?
Hunter gains the strength to glare at Kiki.
Hunter: Still… you!
In an act of spite, Hunter spits blood in Kikimora's face, and she falls on her back hilariously, allowing Flapjack to fly away. Giving a crazed glare and growl, Kikimora summons a cutlass and lunges forward, stabbing the blade in Hunter's chest, causing him to gasp for air.
Amity's face contorts with horror and shock as Hunter's face drops down, seemingly. Memories of Luke getting stabbed in the Conformatorium flood into her mind, causing her to snap.
Amity: NO!
Amity breaks free from Eda's grip and leaps off.
Eda: Boots! No!
Amity lands on the ground, holding her staff. Kikimora and the Abomatons turn when they hear her land. Her face is full of anger and determination.
Amity: LEAVE HIM ALONE!
Amity spins her staff, creating a fiery spell circle, and with a scream, she unleashes a wave of fire. The Abomatons all turn, forming a large barrier together, blocking and cancelling the flames. Kikimora jumps down in front with a grin.
Kikimora: Well, if it isn't the little fire starter. So, you survived?
Eda drops down beside Amity, and King jumps off, landing beside her. Kikimora doesn't seem to care that Eda's in Harpy form.
Kikimora: Oh! Even better! Belos will surely promote me when I capture you, Owl Lady!
Eda: Dream on, shrimp!
Kikimora: I AM NOT A SHRIMP! Surround them!
The Abomatons all circle Eda, Amity, and King, surrounding them as the trio prepares for a fight. Eda holds up her claws, Amity holds her staff with both hands, and King gets on all fours.
Kikimora: Finally! I will prove my worth at last! Once I've dealt with you and the Golden Brat, I will finally take my place at the emperor's side.
Kikimora laughs maniacally. Hunter lays pinned against the wall, seemingly lifeless as the abomination blades are still stuck in his body, blood seeping out of them. However, something snaps in his mind as everything completely blacks out for him.
Suddenly, Hunter wakes up to find himself in a dark void, nothing but darkness in sight. He gets up and is surprised when he sees he's wearing his Golden Guard outfit, minus the mask. He looks around, confused.
Hunter: What is this place… where am I?
To his surprise, he finds someone standing a couple distance away from him. Hunter slowly walks up to the figure until he slowly turns his head, revealing himself to be a Golden Guard, his mask shaped a little differently. To Hunter's shock, more Golden Guards appear, surrounding him in a circle. All of them are clothed slightly differently, and their masks are different shapes, confusing him as he tries to process it all.
Hunter: Who are you people!? A-are you all past Golden Guards?
The Golden Guards say nothing and slowly disappear to reveal someone else turned away from Hunter. This person is wearing old clothes, and his hair is blonde like Hunter's. Something about him is familiar. Hunter notices his ears are round.
Hunter: A human? Who are you!?
The figure says nothing and merely walks forward, prompting Hunter to run after him.
Hunter: Hey, wait! Get back here!
When Hunter grabs his shoulder, the figure bursts into light that engulfs Hunter and forces him to shield his face. As this goes on, he's a hit with a memory.
(Flashback)
Belos: Hunter. Someday, you will be the strongest witch in the world.
A 6-year-old Hunter is standing with Belos (without his mask) at the top of the castle, looking over the Boiling Isles in the direction of the Titan's head. Hunter is standing on a stool for Belos to hold his shoulder.
Belos: Look at this, Hunter. This is our home, the Boiling Isles, made from the remains of the great Titan, whose magic now overruns through these isles. Our job is to keep the spirit of the Titan happy by perfecting the coven system and preventing magic from going out of control.
Young Hunter looks at the Titan's skull in awe, and then Belos gestures to the Coven Scouts standing at the bridge.
Belos: Our scouts are here to ensure the protection of the isles from the dangers of mixing magic, which I call wild magic.
Hunter: Wild magic?
Belos: Yes. Mixing magic will lead to unpredictable disaster, hence the term. The coven system is meant to contain wild magic, and only those who are worthy are able to mix it. Our mission is to create a world free of wild magic.
Hunter: Free of wild magic?
Belos drops down with a kind expression, looking Hunter in the eye as he gently holds his shoulder.
Belos: Hunter, you come from a very strong bloodline, and you have the potential power to join the elite of all covens.
Hunter: Hunter shakes his head. But uncle… I don't have magic like you or other witches.
Belos: Neither did your ancestors, yet most of them rose through the ranks in my coven, becoming the Golden Guard. You have the potential to become stronger than them. You don't need magic to serve a coven.
Hunter: I don't?
Belos: Everyone has a use, Hunter, a purpose. But you… you're special. The Titan has big plans for you as you grow older.
Hunter: Big plans for me?
Belos: Yes. Plans that will involve you having this…
Belos brings out and presents the Yamato, sheathed in its scabbard. Hunter gasps at the sight of the blade.
Hunter: The Yamato!
Belos: Yes. The katana wielded by the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda.
Hunter: Isn't Sparda dead?
Belos: Yes, I killed him. And in the process, I claimed his weapons. And now I pass one of them onto you, Hunter. With this sword, you can be far more useful than any of my scouts and do many things for the isles. This sword will be a most suitable companion in our mission to form a utopia free of wild witches.
Hunter slowly reaches out for and takes the Yamato, giving it a deep look. He grabs the handle and slowly pulls out the sword. He stops halfway, seeing his reflection in the blade, before drawing the sword completely, the tip gleaming in the sunlight. Hunter brings the Yamato to him, giving it a close look, and back to his uncle.
Belos: This is the beginning of a long journey for you, Hunter. One day, you will rise to become the next Golden Guard. The Titan is expecting great things from you. As am I. Can I count on you to live up to those expectations?
Hunter: Hunter smiles. Yes. Of course, uncle. You can count on me. I won't let you down.
Belos pats Hunter's hair.
Belos: Very good.
Hunter and Belos stare into each other's eyes, neither noticing the Yamato glowing slightly. Everything suddenly goes white as the memory ends.
(End of Flashback)
Hunter opens his eyes to find himself a forest clearing. Everything is grey but him, he's surrounded in an aura that keeps him coloured. He looks around and spots someone standing in front of a pedestal… the pedestal where Rebellion was found. The figure is a tall version of Luke wearing a dark blue trench coat over a black outfit. His ears are pointy.
Hunter walks up to the man, stopping a couple distances, finding something familiar about him.
Sparda: Do you know who I am?
Hunter widens his eyes when he realizes who this is.
Hunter: You're the Dark Knight, Sparda!
Sparda turns around, revealing his face. Hunter could see that he truly is Luke's father just from the resemblance.
Sparda: That I am. Tell me. What is it that you want?
Hunter: What?
Sparda: What is it you want in your life?
Hunter: I… just want to help people. And I guess… I want the power to prove myself.
Sparda: And do you have any idea who you are?
Hunter: I…know I'm supposed to be the Golden Guard, the emperor's nephew and right-hand. Hunter sadly looks down. But… I guess I don't know who I truly am or what I really want to be
Sparda: Then allow me to give you one piece of advice. Hunter looks up as Sparda smiles. You want to figure out your own future… then dream big. Until then, survive, using my power.
Sparda traces a large spell circle and sends it towards Hunter, surprising the blonde as he becomes engulfed in it.
Hunter: W-what is this!?
Gold light erupts beneath Hunter and completely engulfs him. He takes one last look at Sparda, who smiles again as the entire mindscape whites out.
Back in reality, Hunter's eyes snap open to reveal the sclerae has become black, and his irises glow red like in his Pre-Devil Trigger Form. Amity, Eda, and King prepare to fight the Abomatons and Kikimora until the Yamato glows yellow and levitates above Eda, causing her to gasp. The trio looks on in shock as the katana removes itself from its scabbard, revealing the blade to be glowing gold. The sword and scabbard blast off towards Hunter, and Eda can do nothing but reach out in vain. Hunter catches them both, lifting his face to reveal his darkened eyes and letting out a growl. He becomes engulfed in a gold pillar of light, sending out a gust of wind that forces everyone to shield themselves as tremors occur in the tunnel.
The pillar bursts through the mines and into the sky, making the entire knee shake, a couple of avalanches occurring in the process.
All the swords that had impaled Hunter are sent flying as everyone continues shielding themselves from the light.
Kikimora: What is the meaning of this!?
Amity: Eda! What's going on!?
Eda: I don't know!
Soon the light subsides and Eda, Amity, King, and Kikimora open their eyes, gasping in shock at what they're witnessing. Hunter is standing still, looking down, breathing and growling monstrously as he holds the Yamato which glows gold, surging with light and electricity and the scabbard is attached to his waist again. Hunter reveals his darkened eyes, the irises glowing red, much to everyone's disbelief. Even more shocking is when his wounds heal and close up, along with the cuts in his outfit.
Amity: What's happening to Hunter!?
King: He's going Pseudo Devil Trigger like Luke used to do!
Eda: No! It's more than that! Look! Eda points at the glowing Yamato. The Yamato is reacting to him again! It should only react that way to Sparda and anyone who's descended from him, like Luke!
Hunter breathes heavily as he gives Kikimora a murderous glare and surges with gold electricity.
Kikimora: How are you still alive!? You're supposed to be dead, you brat! Why won't you just DIE!?
Hunter's voice is a little distorted as he speaks, like Devil Luke and Harpy Eda.
Hunter: You can try to kill me as much as you like, Kiki. But I can't die. I won't die. Not until I prove myself and figure out who I am. Right before I woke up… I heard a voice in my head. Power.
Eda gasps in shock, the same way she did when she heard that word come out of Luke's mouth, something Sparda had talked about.
Hunter: Give me more power. The strength I need to survive and see things through till the end. I will endure the exile.
Spell circles appear and spin around his body as it violently surges with electricity that lights up the entire tunnel. Amity looks on pure disbelief, the scene being all too familiar.
Kikimora: W-what is this!?
Amity: No way… it can't be!
Eda: What? You know something about this, kid?
Amity: This is the same thing that happened to Luke when he fought Belos… right before he transformed into a devil.
Hunter's heavy breathing turns into a beastly growl and snarl as his teeth turns into fangs, his hair turns golden, his skin darkening and turning scaly, claws emerge from his fingers and toes, ripping out of his coven scout clothes, his scabbard floats up, turning demonic and he opens his eyes which glow electric yellow.
Hunter: And if I become a monster, so be it. I won't let anyone get in MY WAAAAAYYYYYY!
The spell circles converge and explode, releasing massive electricity as Hunter roars, throwing his head up as he undergoes a horrifying transformation.
King: He's… he's…!
Eda: He's transforming!
Hunter has become a devil, like Luke, but with different features. His face colour has gone demonically dark, and his eyes are black, the irises still red. His head seems to produce some spikey edges, and horns emerge from both sides of it. His hair remains the same. His upper body has become scaly and dark yellow, with some spikes sticking out in certain places. He now wears a semi-chiropteran trench coat divided into three segments. 2 spikes also hang up the shoulders near the head. His trousers are replaced by bare skin too that has become scaly, spiky, and black, and he's no longer wearing shoes. His feet are black. His fingers and toes are spikey. And a pair of demonic wings are attached to his back. But the most important change is that his scabbard has turned into some large demonic blade that has become part of his arm. Yamato is sheathed in it.
Hunter stands, his head down as he pants monstrously and surges with gold electricity. Eda, Amity, and King gasp, staring in disbelief. Hunter has become a devil.
Eda: He's turned into a devil!
Amity: But that's crazy! How can Hunter be a devil, too!?
King: Yeah! Luke's the only one with a Devil Trigger! A real one! How is he able to do it, too!?
Eda: It was the power of the Yamato! Somehow, it's allowed Goldilocks to unlock a hidden power within him.
Amity: Like the Rebellion did for Luke. But Eda, I don't get it. The Yamato belonged to Sparda. How could it react to Hunter like this when he isn't even descended from Luke's dad?
King: Maybe Sparda secretly had two sons?
Eda: No. Sparda had only one son. Just one. And that was Luke. Somehow, this kid has got the Yamato to unlock powers he shouldn't have, even though he isn't related to Sparda. And Belos is certainly no devil!
King: But then… what does this mean, Eda?
Eda: I don't know, King. I don't know why or how this is happening.
Kikimora is terrified out of her mind and whimpering in fear as Hunter lifts his head up, showing his eyes and fangs. He breathes heavily.
Kikimora: No… NO! It can't be! This is insane! There's no way you're a devil! It's not POSSIBLE! You're just a powerless witch with no magic!
Hunter slowly approaches Kiki and her Abomatons; each step he takes creates an electrical surge that causes the crazed coven official to step back in fear. She panics and orders her Abomatons to attack.
Kikimora: KILL HIM! RIP HIM APART! LEAVE NO TRACE OF HIM BEHIND! I WANT HIM TORN IN HALF!
The Abomatons form their arms into canons and fire streams of green flames that combine into one, but Hunter uses his new sheath body part to effortlessly slice them apart. Next, they unleash purple beams of energy from their core which also combine to vaporise Hunter but the Golden Guard surges with electricity, bringing up on of his hands which become coated in aura. With a swing of that hand, he sends out gold sharp bolts of energy that pierce through the beam, neutralising it and knocks a few Abomatons onto their backs. The Abomaton's follow up by firing purple energy shots, but Hunter spreads his demonic wings and takes flight into the air. The Abomatons shoot out their hands and surround Hunter with them, but he brings up his demonic sheath and slightly draws Yamato.
The hands engulf him, encasing Hunter in abomination goo but the Golden Guard effortlessly slices his way out of the goo, having drawn Yamato and showing the patterns in his katana to be glowing gold. He aims his sword and dives towards Kikimora.
Kikimora: Fire!
The Abomatons all shoot multiple energy shots, but Hunter dodges and deflects every shot sent his way with speed and expertise, and with a roar, he thrusts Yamato against a massive oracle barrier formed by all the Abomatons. Electricity violently surges from the impact, forcing Eda, Amity, King, and Kikimora to shield their faces, the gremlin falling on her back. Hunter pushes against the barrier, the force of his power and sword causing it to crack a little as more electricity surges. He roars and eventually shatters through, impaling one of the Abomatons in its core and slamming it into the wall in the blink of an eye, where it shuts down.
Hunter removes his sword and turns to the remaining four Abomatons and Kikimora, who's more horrified than ever.
Kikimora: What are you waiting for, you fools!? ATTACK!
The remaining robots approach Hunter, but the new devil warrior flies up and lands in the centre of them, surrounded by them. One Abomaton tries to stab Hunter, but the boy parries and stabs its core, and when a second one proceeds to crush Hunter with a hammer arm, he slides backward, stabbing the core with his sheath. He removes it and sheathes Yamato back in. Both Abomatons fall back, shutting down. The last two proceed to cut Hunter to pieces with double scythes, but he deflects them all by spinning around and parrying with his sheath before drawing Yamato again and slicing them both, striking a grand pose. He brings up his sheath and slowly sheathes Yamato back in, and at that moment, the robots are cut in half, their armoury falling apart.
Hunter then turns his attention to a terrified Kikimora, who panics and shoots a barrage of lightning bolts that Hunter walks through as he approaches her, leaning his head or slapping them away. When Kikimora tries to run, Hunter appears in front of her in the blink of an eye, giving the little gremlin a vicious look. He slams his foot into her chest and pins her down. Kikimora is petrified with fear.
Kikimora: Please! Don't hurt me! PLEASE!
Hunter: First and final warning, Kiki. Stay out of my way. Or else… I will personally crush you like the insect you are. Are we clear? Kikimora nods with a whine, and Hunter grins. Good.
He throws Kikimora up and slams Yamato's handle into her, causing her to gasp for air. Hunter then sends her screaming with a roundhouse kick. Kikimora crashes below the tracks, and she gasps in horror when she sees one of the abomination carts fall on her, pinning her down and knocking her out.
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep - Enter the Darkness
Eda, Amity, and King stand still, amazed at what they just witnessed as Hunter stands with his back turned on them.
Amity: Whoa…
King: Well, he made that look easy!
Hunter slightly turns his head in their direction, and Eda widens her eyes, knowing his intentions.
Eda: Get down!
She grabs Amity and King just as Hunter turns, swinging the Yamato and unleashing a yellow energy blade larger than normal. Eda jumps out of the way with the kids just as the blade flies up and smashes into the sealing, causing a slight tremor. An angered Eda takes flight and lunges at Hunter.
The Golden Guard slices with his katana, and Eda catches it with her claws, holding Hunter back as they push with all their strength and share fierce glares.
Eda: How are you able to do this!? Only Sparda can unlock the power of the Yamato!
Hunter: Don't know. Don't care. Couldn't care less! As long as it helps me survive, then I'll take it.
Eda pushes down Hunter's katana and tosses him over her shoulder. The devil warrior recovers and springs off a wall, blasting towards Eda with his katana aimed at her. She flies up, and Hunter lands before following after her. They have an aerial face-off, which Amity and King watch in awe.
Hunter and Eda blast off towards each other, katana and claws ready. They exchange strong slices that cause the tunnel to shake a little. They make a quick 180 and clash. Hunter launches three swings with his katana. Eda ducks and evades the first two and parries the other with her claw. The Owl Lady thrusts her claws, and the Golden Guard evades. He then deflects three slices, 1 with his katana and the other with his sheath, without noticing that Yamato is glowing slightly brighter with each hit.
Eda thrusts her claws again, but Hunter flips behind her to send her flying with a double kick. She recovers and turns just as Hunter swings his hand, unleashing more gold energy spears, which prompts Eda to smack her wings together and unleash a gust of wind that redirects the bolts into the walls. However, this allows Hunter to swoop in and slice her in the stomach with his sheath. Eda grunts in pain as she stumbles back. She looks to see Hunter slice both his weapons at her, but Eda catches them with both her claws. However, unbeknownst to either of them, Yamato is glowing much brighter as though it's gaining energy. She spins Hunter around and tosses him into a boulder, which collapses on him. She dives down towards where she threw him, but the dust cloud clears to reveal Hunter on his feet, swinging Yamato to unleash another energy blade, catching Eda by surprise and slamming into her. Eda shouts in pain and gets slammed into the wall, leaving a crater.
Amity & King: Eda!
Harpy Eda drops on her face, unconscious, leaving just Amity and King to face Devil Hunter. He looks at his sword, intrigued by what just occurred. For a few seconds, it continues to glow bright before dimming… like it absorbed every blow it took and gained energy that Hunter released just moments ago on Eda. He turns his head towards the kids, and they step back in fear. Amity clutches her staff but remains brave, and King goes on all fours.
Hunter: So, you still wanna fight, Blight? 'Cause I wouldn't if I were you. I have to admit I'm just as amazed by my new powers as you are.
King: Uh… Amity, what do we do!?
Amity: I don't know!
Hunter: Give it up, Blight. You're no match for me. Go home.
Amity: Never! I'm not going back empty-handed! We're not going down without a fight!
King steps forward.
King: WEH!
He unleashes a Sonic Wave, but Hunter walks through it, unaffected, much to his shock.
King: It's not working!?
Hunter: Don't expect the same trick to work on me twice, rat.
Amity runs up, tracing a large spell circle with her staff, and with a battle cry, she thrusts her staff, sending out a barrage of fireballs that Hunter deflects by drawing and swinging around Yamato as he slowly approaches Amity. He dashes right in front of her in the blink of an eye, much to her shock.
Hunter: Nothing personal.
He delivers a punch in the gut, causing Amity to gasp for air. He kicks her in the air and flies up to deliver an axe punch, sending her screaming and crashing into a boulder. Hunter drops down, and King proceeds to tackle him, only to be backhanded and drop on his chest in unconsciousness.
Amity runs up to Hunter, swinging her staff only for Hunter to parry and slice. Amity blocks and pushes him off, launching another swing, followed by a couple of thrusts, all of which Hunter evades.
She growls in frustration, thrusting again only for her staff to grind against Hunter's sheath, and he grabs Amity's wrist, pulling her in to meet her eyes.
Hunter: Like I said, you're no match for me!
Hunter tosses Amity over a shoulder and sends her screaming. She sprawls across the ground and lands on her chest hard. Amity is slightly bruised, and her outfit is a little tattered but gets up, using her staff to help her stand. She glares at Hunter approaching her, panting a little.
Amity: I'm not… giving up! Luke is counting on me!
Amity traces a large spell circle to send out abomination goo from her charm. A massive abomination engulfs Hunter, but he slices his way out of the goo in an instant. Amity spins her staff, creating a fiery spell circle and thrusting to unleash a barrage of fireballs, but Hunter runs through, deflecting them, side-stepping and flipping above the fireballs twice, landing a kick on Amity's head, the force of which sends her bouncing up and she loses her staff. Hunter follows up with two kicks to the stomach that send Amity screaming in pain. She crashes into a boulder so hard it shatters, and she lies on the rubble, groaning in agony.
Ghost gets out of her staff form and charges Hunter. She leaps up to slice with her claws, only for Hunter to lean his head, then grab Ghost's tail, tossing her away, and she lands near Amity hard. Ghost falls unconscious, much to her owner's horror.
Amity: GHOST!
Hunter flies forward, snagging Amity and smashing her against the wall, causing her to scream. She's lifted off her feet as she struggles to escape. Hunter sends out electricity through his arm, electrocuting Amity and causing her to cry out in agony.
Hunter: This won't kill you. This is just enough to knock you unconscious.
Amity continues screaming until the electrocution becomes too much for her, and she becomes unconscious. She's bruised, tattered, and slightly burned.
...
Hunter puts Amity down, and she falls on her side.
Hunter: Sorry, Blight. This isn't anything personal. He walks away from Amity. I've got a lot riding on this, and like I said, I won't let anyone get in my way.
Hunter proceeds to walk off towards another tunnel. Amity is barely conscious, her vision blurry as she struggles to keep her eyes open. Mustering enough strength, Amity begins lifting herself off the ground and gets on her knees, panting and grunting heavily. Her face is filled with passion and fury, her thoughts dwelling on Luke.
(Flashback)
Her thoughts are mostly that of the moments Luke has almost been killed, or she felt she let him down.
Odalia's Abomaton almost hacking Luke in half until Amity came to his rescue.
Hunter impaling Luke in the shoulder and lifting him off the ground during their first duel at the Covention.
Hunter stabbing a gravely injured Luke with Rebellion at the Conformatorium after delivering a fatal wound with Yamato.
Amity being tortured by Belos after she tried to attack him in vengeance.
Luke destroying the portal door.
Amity watching the life fade from Luke's eyes before he became a devil.
(End of Flashback)
These memories fill Amity with righteous fury as she continues struggling to get up.
Amity: No… No… not again…
(Flashback)
Amity's thoughts are now filled with warmer memories of Luke.
Devil Luke saving her from Belos.
Amity hugging Luke in her room after the Petrification Ceremony.
Luke taking Amity's hand after she saved him from Odalia's Abomaton.
Devil Luke holding her in bridal style after escaping the Tunnel of Love.
Luke asking Amity out.
The two of them sharing their first kiss.
However, the only thing that's scaring her is Luke's most recent message via her Tamagotchi.
(End of Flashback)
Amity clutches the ground so hard that her fingers dig into the dirt, and her eyes are closed. Her expression is filled with anger and passion, with Abomination goo and purple flames sparking around her.
Amity: Luke has counted on me so many times, and I always ended up failing him! He's counting on me again! And this time, I'm not letting him down AGAIN!
Her eyes snap open, revealing them to be glowing bright magenta.
Hunter continues to walk away, only to be blasted from behind by a fire spell. He doesn't flinch, but it does catch his attention, prompting him to turn to find Amity standing back on her feet, her head lowered enough for her eyes to be hidden by shadows as she pants in exhaustion. Nevertheless, her voice is filled with passion and some deepness.
Amity: I'm not finished with you yet.
Hunter sighs, annoyed and irritated.
Hunter: I really have no desire to kill you. But you're making that very difficult!
Hunter flies in, drawing Yamato, and proceeds to slice Amity across her chest, only to be caught off-guard when Amity catches the blade with one hand. Hunter is stopped in place, the impact spreading throughout the mines and creating a slight tremor. Hunter stares at Amity in shock. The only ones who could catch his blade like that are Qrow, Darius, and quite possibly Luke.
Hunter: What…?
Amity lifts her head up, revealing her glowing eyes to Hunter. She suddenly bursts with a magenta aura that slightly hinders Hunter's sight. To his shock, the eyes become black like Darius when he unleashes his Abomination form. Amity speaks, a distortion added to her voice, like with Luke, Hunter, Qrow, and Darius in their transformed states.
Amity: You've hurt me and Luke for the last time!
Black goo leaks out of her eyes, and she reels back her free arm, which morphs into an Abomination arm. With a scream, she launches a punch to Hunter's stomach, causing him to gasp for air before sending him flying and crashing into a wall, enveloping him in a small dust cloud.
Amity pants heavily before looking at her arm, which reverts to normal. As she surges with energy, the youngest Blight looks at her hands, and the black goo stops leaking out of her eyes. Her face contorts with confusion and shock at what she just did.
Amity: Whoa. What is this?
Before she can comment more, the dust cloud in front of her is cleared away by Hunter spreading his wings, looking quite ticked off as he holds Yamato. He flicks off a small rock on his shoulder and cracks his neck a little.
Hunter: Looks like I'm not the only one with new powers. Let's see what you got, Blight.
Hunter flies off towards Amity with his sword. Amity crosses her arms, which become engulfed in goo and morph into twin scythes. With a battle cry, she launches herself at Hunter and trades blows with him. She unleashes a barrage of slashes with her scythe arms, forcing Hunter on the defensive as he parries and deflects with his katana against Amity's furious strikes. When she launches a horizontal slash, Hunter quickly flies up and swings his free hand, unleashing his energy spears, prompting Amity to turn her arms into sharp tentacles, which she swings to deflect the shots. Then, she stretches and launches the tentacles into the air, whipping away at Hunter, who quickly flies around, ducking and dodging the tentacles. One of them knocks Yamato out of his hand, and the other wraps around his ankle.
Amity: Gotcha…
With a grin, Amity yanks Hunter down, smashing him into the ground. Amity furiously bangs Hunter around before spinning him around and tossing him against the wall. Her tentacles morph back into Abomination arms, stretching one to ensnare Hunter and reel him in to deliver an uppercut to his chin with her other fist. Hunter sprawls back against the ground, clawing onto it and quickly holding out his hand to Yamato. His sword flies into his hand just as Amity leaps high into the air, where she morphs her right arm into a hammer, which she stretches and brings down to crush the Golden Guard.
The impact causes the entire mine to shake violently.
Amity is now on one knee and holding her hammer arm, panting in exhaustion from pushing herself so hard.
Amity: So… still think I'm out of my league, Golden Guard?
Hunter: Yes.
Amity gasps, hearing Hunter's voice. When the dust settles, Hunter is revealed to have held back the hammer with his demonic scabbard, much to Amity's horror.
Amity: But how…?
Hunter spins Yamato and launches a backhanded slash, slicing off the hammer and causing Amity to cry out, recoiling and holding her arm in pain. Her arm morphs, and she glares at Hunter as he holds his sword. The blade glows completely gold, which surprises even him. He looks back to Amity.
Hunter: You're good, Blight. You've definitely gotten stronger since the last time we fought. But like I said before, you're still no match for me.
He sheathes his sword but keeps clutching the hilt just as Amity launches Abomination goo from her arm, prompting Hunter to dash forward, flying along the ground and drawing his sword to slice through the goo. When he closes in, Amity quickly morphs both her arms into scythes and swings at Hunter, only for the Golden Guard to parry one of her swings. She launches more swings, but Hunter keeps evading, deflecting, and ducking until he delivers a strike to the face that causes Amity to stumble back. With a scream, she lunges with her scythes, and Hunter dashes with his katana, and they slice away, halting behind each other. Both are unharmed for a while until Hunter stands straight and spins his katana. Amity's scythes are sliced off, and a cut forms across one of her sides, causing her to scream and drop to her knees. Her arms reformed in time for her hands to fall on the ground. Her eye colour reverts to normal, and the aura that had surrounded her disappears as Hunter turns to face her.
Hunter: It's over. You put up a good fight. Stay down. For your own good.
Amity vehemently turns to face Hunter.
Amity: Forget it! I won't QUIT!
Amity summons the remaining Abomination goo around her to form her Chakrams and envelope them in purple flames. With a scream, she lunges with a swing, only for him to effortlessly block with his scabbard. Amity launches three more swings, followed up with a spin kick. Hunter deflects the flaming chakrams and catches her kick, tossing her aside. Amity recovers and runs forward, tossing her chakrams, but Hunter deflects with Yamato. Amity leaps up, catching her flaming chakrams, and dives down to slice Hunter, prompting him to sheathe his sword and block with his scabbard. Releasing stored-up energy, Hunter sends Amity flying, and she hits the ground, barely recovering as the flames from her Chakrams disappear.
Remaining determined, Amity charges Hunter once more, but he dashes forward. With a slice from his katana, Amity is sent screaming and crashing into the wall, her chakrams dissolved. She screams louder when Hunter smashes the horizontal edge of his demonic scabbard into her stomach. Amity cries out, holding her stomach in agony. This doesn't stop her from throwing a weak punch at Hunter, only for him to easily circle around. By the time she turns, Hunter smacks the pommel of his sword into her chest, lifting her off the ground and following with a knee, then a kick that sends her screaming and sprawling across the ground.
Amity is laid on her back, panting in pain. She's covered in bruises and burns; her coat is cut up, and she sweats profusely. However, her face doesn't lose passion, and she twists herself to get back up. She barely manages to stand on two feet, struggling to move forward as she aims a heated glare at Hunter.
Hunter growls at Amity's persistence, annoyed as he clutches his glowing sword.
Hunter: You just don't quit! Fine. You leave me no choice.
Hunter sheathes his sword into his demonic scabbard, holding it tight and surging with a gold electrifying aura that creates a small gust that forces the wounded Amity to shield her eyes.
Amity: So much power! Where is he getting all this energy!?
Hunter keeps charging the energy his sword absorbed, and for a moment, the background turns black, a full moon coming into view. With a scream, Hunter slices his katana, unleashing an eruption of energy blasting right toward Amity. She gasps in horror, quickly forming a shield made of Abomination goo. But Hunter's attack is so powerful that the shield is destroyed, and the eruption catches Amity, enveloping her and sending her screaming in pain.
Hunter's attack is so powerful that flashes of light burst out of holes leading outside the mines.
When the dust cloud in the battle zone clears, Hunter is seen standing victoriously and holding Yamato. Amity is lying on her side, defeated, unconscious, and groaning after being blown away by Hunter's attack. Fortunately, her Abomination shield saved her from serious injuries.
Hunter once again looks at Yamato, which dims once again after releasing all that energy.
Hunter: Interesting… this must be my Resonance. Cool.
Hunter spins his sword before sheathing back into his demonic scabbard. He looks back to Amity, then Eda and King, his mind dwelling on how these three had caught him off-guard with their newfound powers, especially Amity, just moments ago.
Hunter: Looks like the hybrid's not the only one growing in power. I'll need to keep my eye on these three. For now, I'm getting that Titan Blood.
Hunter spreads his demonic wings and takes flight, flying towards another tunnel, followed by Flapjack. The sign near the tunnel read "Eclipse Lake."
A couple minutes later, Amity groans as she slowly opens her eyes.
King: Amity? Amity, wake up!
Her blurry vision clears for her to see Ghost, King, and Eda looking over her. Eda (still in Harpy Form) has Amity lying in her arms.
Amity: Ghost? Eda? King?
Eda: Good. You're awake.
Amity lifts herself up, rubbing her head with a groan.
Amity: Ugh. My head.
Ghost jumps onto her lap, licking her face. Amity smiles gratefully and strokes her palisman.
King: Are you gonna be okay?
Amity: Yeah. I'm fine. Just a little shaken. How long was I out?
Eda: A couple minutes.
Amity stares at her hands for a bit. She gasps when goo and flames briefly swirl around them, fully realizing the new powers she unlocked. Eda holds her shoulder in concern.
Eda: You sure you're alright, Boots?
Amity: I'm okay, Eda. Really.
Amity looks around, seeing the fallen Coven Scouts and Kikimora but not Hunter, which causes her to get mad from remembering him.
Amity: Wait a minute, where's that jerk, Hunter!?
Eda: My guess is he went that way.
Eda looks in the direction of the tunnel Hunter and Flapjack flew in, also spotting the "Eclipse Lake" sign.
Eda: That tunnel should lead straight into Eclipse Lake.
King: But he hasn't come out. Maybe he hasn't found the Titan Blood yet.
Amity: We have to get there now! Ghost turns into her staff form, and Amity clutches it. We might still be able to make it in time to get at least some Titan Blood.
Eda: Then, let's fly.
Eda picks up King and Amity and flies towards the tunnel, but an Abomaton grabs her by the leg. They see the Scout Captain is standing back up, spear in hand, next to a broken, but still functioning, Abomaton.
Captain: I don't know who you freaks are, but that blood belongs to Kikimora!
With a scream, Eda, Amity, and King get smashed to the ground. The trio manages to recover.
Eda: Get to the lake, I'll take care of—
Eda is flung back by the Abomaton. She gasps and grunts as she slams into the wall.
King: Eda!
Amity grabs King and runs ahead. The Guard Captain throws her spear at them, but Harpy Eda swoops in. She catches and snaps the spear in half as King and Amity make their way in.
Eda: All right, Owl Beast. Eda takes flight, prepared to attack. Let's see what we can really do!
She performs a spinning drill move and slams into the captain.
Amity and King reach Eclipse Lake. Amity checks the map (sporting a cocky image of Luke in the lake) and lowers it to see Hunter digging in the centre of a crater with roots dug into its edges. Amity is puzzled for two reasons: there's no lake of Titan Blood. And Hunter is still here, reverted back to his regular form. She literally gets to the bottom of this and approaches Hunter along with King, her staff ready. But Hunter makes no attempt at self-defence.
Hunter: Don't worry. I won't pick a fight. There's no Titan Blood.
Amity: Then why are you digging?
The usually badass blonde turns with an unhinged look.
Hunter: Oh, it's simple really. Belos needs Titan blood to make a new portal key. Can't get to the Human Realm without it!
Amity: Amity widens her eyes, learning this. There's blood in the key?
Amity clutches the key, which she brought with her. Hunter continues digging.
Hunter: Since I failed my last mission, I thought, "Hey, a chance to make up for it." But I can't go back empty-handed. He laughs hysterically before dropping down. Not again. Long story short, this is my grave. He turns again. Want me to make you one too?
Amity and King stare at Hunter, feeling pity for him and, at the same time, greatly disturbed.
King: This is really bumming me out.
Hunter: That's just life, rat. Everyone has a use, and if you don't… He blows a raspberry. Bye-bye. Your friend gets it.
King: What's he talking about?
Knowing Hunter's referring to her, Amity sadly gets out her Tamagotchi, looking at Luke's last message in dejection.
Amity: Luke has been sending me these strange human codes. King takes a look at the codes. I don't understand all of them, but this one seems pretty clear. "Come back with results or we're done."
Amity looks hurt at the thought of her boyfriend making a threat like that. However, King, already figuring out the message, rotates the device 90 clockwise. Amity widens her eyes to see the emoji symbols look like letters forming a shortened sentence at this angle. This is Luke's real message.
Amity: "U-R-RAD." She reads the next message. "FOOLS-BLOOD-BAD." Next message "U-OKAY?" Next message. "COME-HOME?" Amity chuckles in joy and relief, laughing at herself for ever doubting her boyfriend. Of course. This is Luke we're talking about.
Hunter: Hey!
Flapjack is tugging on Hunter's cloak, but he tries to ignore it.
Hunter: Go find a better witch to be with.
Hunter sadly groans as he lies facedown and gathers dirt on his head. Feeling sorry for the blonde and his struggles, Amity approaches Hunter and kneels near him with a sympathetic look.
Amity: You know, you were right. We do have a lot in common. I grew up thinking everything was an opportunity to justify existing. She gives a gentle smile. But there are people out there who won't make you feel worthless. You just have to let yourself meet them.
Amity holds out her hand to Hunter, who looks up to her. He sees the warm and gentle smile the youngest Blight is giving as she offers her compassion. Hunter is about to consider… until he spots the portal key around Amity's neck. He slowly gets up with a crazed and desperate look, much to Amity's confusion.
Amity: What are you...?
Hunter vs Amity Battle Theme – Eclipse Lake
She looks down, gasping to see that Hunter has spotted the key and realizes his intentions. Hunter lunges at Amity, attempting to grab the key, but misses when she dodges with a somersault.
Amity: Oh, come on! Being nice usually works for Luke.
Desperate more than ever at seeing his final chance, Hunter lunges again, only for King to get in between the teens and unleash a Sonic Wave. To Hunter's surprise, Flapjack flies in front of him, turning into his staff form to cancel out King's magic. Hunter grabs his new Cardinal Staff and gives it a swing. Amity and King are surprised to see King's attack get blocked.
Hunter smirks in determination, but then yelps in surprise when he accidentally does a yellow, more telegraphed and energy-based version of his Flash-Step. He looks at his new Cardinal Staff, the power may be similar, but it feels far different from his artificial one.
Hunter: Real staffs are weird!
With a scowl, Amity ties Hunter up with Abomination goo but he makes a few desperate escape attempts with his Flash-Step before succeeding. He teleports high into the air, spinning and unleashing a barrage of lightning bolts from his staff that bounce around the cave. Amity rides her staff with King in toe, dodging the bouncing bolts and deflecting a couple with Abomination goo.
She lands just as she slaps another bolt, distracting her long enough for Hunter to teleport behind her to snag the key, only to be tackled by King. Hunter gets up and Flash-Steps again.
The Golden Guard teleports around Amity, unleashing a barrage of strikes with his staff.
Under normal circumstances, Hunter can easily defeat Amity, as he's shown multiple times before due to his training and experience against Amity's lack of field experience. However, he's using a staff he has no experience using; he's exhausted from unleashing his devil powers, and the fight in the tunnel before and his desperation to prove himself has made his attacks wild, unfocused, and sloppy. On top of that, he's not using the Yamato or his devil powers, like he's holding back. Amity, though exhausted herself, remains calm, cool, and collected throughout the fight this time, allowing her to skilfully block and parry Hunter's desperate attacks while carefully finding the right moments to strike, and she has more experience with her own staff, though Hunter's fighting experience, advanced magic, and teleportation moves are still catching her a little off-guard. But her love for Luke pushes her forward and empowers her. At this point, the two are evenly matched.
Amity uses Abomination goo as a shield to block Hunter's first attack with his staff. He teleports wildly around and above her, striking her two more times, and Amity barely blocks.
By the fourth time, she anticipates where he'll pop up and thrust her staff. Hunter evades but is caught off-guard. Amity forms an Abomination Gauntlet, delivering a punch in the face that sends Hunter stumbling back. She runs up, gracefully casting a large spell circle with her staff and sending an Abomination to appear behind Hunter, engulfing him before he has a chance to escape and encasing him in a sphere like their first fight.
As Hunter makes violent attempts to escape the orb, Amity gets on her staff, flying away to put some distance between them, grabbing King along the way. Eventually, Hunter escapes, the orb explodes, and he sends a rupture through the ground. A stone fist sends Amity and King flying up into the air, the former screaming in pain as she gets punched in the stomach. A determined Hunter, covered in some goo flash-steps as Amity attracts some of her goo.
King lands with his horns lodged in a vein while Amity slides down her goo, clutching her stomach. Hunter flash-steps in front of Amity, thrusting his staff into her chest, sending her gasping and screaming in pain. The youngest Blight barely claws into the ground and gets up just as Hunter drops down to strike Amity, prompting her to quickly form her Abomination Chakrams to block, getting slightly pushed against the ground.
Hunter flips behind her, and they engage in a clash; Hunter launches a swing with his staff and Amity parries. She tosses a chakram, which Hunter deflects. She thrusts her second chakram, and Hunter stops. She catches her other one and slices. Hunter deflects and spins his staff like a bow staff, blocking another slice with the butt of it. Both swing their weapons; trading blows before Amity crosses her chakrams and Hunter brings down his staff. They engage in a deadlock, sharing glares and pushing against each other with all their strength. Eventually, Hunter pushes Amity off, spinning on his back and sweeping Amity off her feet before kneeing her in the gut.
Amity is sent screaming in pain, losing her chakrams in the process, and the goo returns to her jar. She gets up, groaning and clutching her arm in pain just as Hunter teleports behind her again, his staff reeled back and his eyes turning black.
Hunter: You really wanna help, THEN GIVE ME THAT KEY!
He thrusts his staff against the key, snapping it off Amity's neck. She quickly grabs it as Hunter pins her arm to the wall, with her forming a goo spike at his neck. The two share a glare, Hunter panting while Amity merely scowls, making no sound as her eyes turn black once again.
Hunter is covered in sweat and goo. Amity is covered in bruises, burns, and tatters. Both are at an impasse, but clearly, Hunter is more worn out from his recent string of battles.
Hunter: Listen, you're strong, and I'm tired. I admit I've underestimated you, Blight. You've clearly gotten stronger. You're not the same witch I fought in the Conformatorium. Amity's keeps scowling. You've noticed that I'm not using my newfound devil powers to defeat you. If I weren't holding back right now, this battle would be over with you on your knees and me walking away with the key. Amity edges the spike closer, but he's unfazed. That's because I have no intention of hurting you too much. So, if this continues, there's a 50% chance you'll probably escape, or I take the key by force. But here's the thing: We know where to find you… and your human.
Amity gasps in horror, losing her confident scowl.
Hunter: If you don't hand over the key, I will tell Belos the human has it. And he will send his entire army to destroy the Owl House and hunt down your boyfriend to the edge of the world.
If Belos were to find out Luke has the key, he would send his entire forces to the Owl House. Even with his devil powers, Luke can't handle an entire army.
Hunter: But… if you give me the key, Belos won't have to know about it. You have my word that I won't tell him about the human having the key in the first place. So... just hand over the key.
Amity squeezes the key so hard that a crack is heard. She then looks down, defeated, seeing that there's no other way to protect Luke from Belos and his forces. When she opens her eyes, they've reverted to normal.
Amity: Fine. Just stay away from Luke.
Hunter opens his hand, and his eyes revert to normal, too. Amity looks to the key hesitantly. She reluctantly drops it into Hunter's hand for him to catch. The youngest Blight looks down in shame as Hunter walks off, satisfied.
Hunter: Appreciate it. Hunter stops to turn his head slightly. I… uh… mean that, too… Amity.
Amity says nothing, shooting a glare as Hunter flies off on his new staff out the hole in the ceiling. Harpy Eda flies in through the tunnel, excited.
Eda: HA-HA! Yes! I heard fighting! I'm ready to go! Where's that nerd?! I'm ready for Round 2!
To Eda's dismay, she sees King trying to get out of his position while Amity sits on her knees, bruised and tattered, her expression looking grim and ashamed. Eda can tell, something bad happened and Hunter got away with a prize.
Eda: Oh. Dang it.
Back in the Owl House, Luke had fallen asleep, buried under pillows and cushions. But finally, the young hybrid awakens.
Luke: Huh?
Luke sits up, his head revealing several mushrooms on it. He pats his face.
Luke: Ho-ho! I feel great! He becomes disturbed when he sees and touches the mushrooms on his head. Okay… note to self. Boiling Isles diseases are just as disturbing as their weather and culture.
Luke is quick to brush off all the mushrooms, and his hair returns to normal.
Luke: Much better. He gasps. Oh, crap! Amity! Eclipse Lake! The Fool's Blood! I gotta find everyone, pronto!
Luke charges out of his room only to bump into Willow, the bowl of soup she's carrying flies up and is caught by Hooty (technically it lands and spills on his head).
Hooty: Safe!
Steam rises from him, which causes Gus to cringe. Repede barks and jumps into Luke's arms. The human-demon hybrid holds up his palisman.
Luke: Hey, boy! That's right, I'm all better now! Repede gets on his shoulder as Luke looks at his friends. Have the others returned?
Luke, Willow, Gus, their palismen, and Hooty arrive in the living room, where King and Amity are trying to pull Harpy Eda through the door as Ghost walks off with Owlbert on her head.
Eda: Ow, ow, ow! Just get an elixir. I got into harpy mode, and now I can't get out.
King: She also ate, like, nine voles on the way home.
Eda: Hey, I had to keep up my end of the bargain.
They finally pull her in and hilariously fall to the floor. Repede, Clover, and Emmeline run/fly over to Ghost and Owlbert, giving their greetings. Repede and Ghost stand on their hind legs, waving their front paws; Owlbert chirps happily with Clover, and Emmeline hops right beside them.
Amity lifts herself up, holding her head and groaning.
Luke: Amity!
Amity is taken by surprise when Luke hugs her.
Luke: I am so glad my totally awesome girlfriend is okay.
Amity's surprise turns into a blushing smile as she hugs her boyfriend back.
Amity: I'm glad my awesome boyfriend is feeling better.
King: No King hug? What is this? He points at Amity. You are a swindler and a thief!
Luke: Okay, if that's what you want. Come here, little bro!
Luke grabs King and walks off, hugging him while giving him a little noogie.
King: I regret this!
Eda drops to Amity's level.
Eda: Do you wanna break the news or should I?
Amity: News?
Eda: Eda counts off the problems. The empty lake, the Golden Guard, losing the portal key. Today was a disaster. Not to mention that backstabbing blondie can transform into a devil like Luke. He's just found himself an official rival.
Amity: Actually, we might be okay.
Amity looks at her glove, now stained with Titan's blood, the result of cracking the key hard enough to spill some blood into her glove.
Speaking of Titan Blood, some is leaking out of the portal key as Hunter is standing on a snowy pathway at the Knee. He holds the sheathed Yamato in one hand while holding up the key with his other, looking at it in disappointment to see it's half full. It seems his victory today was bittersweet. Hunter can only worry about his uncle's reaction to see he lost some of the Titan Blood in the key.
However, Hunter is cheered up when Flapjack chirps and lands on his shoulder.
Hunter: Oh, hey. You stuck with me the whole time, huh, bird?
Flapjack chirps, and Hunter widens his eyes, surprised.
Hunter: I think I understood that! I-Is that your name? Can you say it again?
Flapjack chirps again, causing Hunter to chuckle a little.
Hunter: Weird. Can you say other things?
Hunter begins to walk down the slope with Flapjack, who continues chirping and telling his new owner more things about himself. Hunter is getting to know and accept his new palisman, feeling a personal sense of happiness and satisfaction for the first time.
Meanwhile, Amity returns to Blight Manor, where she opens the main door, her bruises and burns are gone. She walks through the living room, where her siblings are sitting on the couch, scrolling through Penstagram until they see their youngest sister.
Emira: Hey, sis.
They become surprised upon seeing Amity's look of exhaustion on her face.
Edric: Whoa. You look terrible. Rough day?
Ghost jumps off Amity's shoulder to greet Lenny and Tammy.
Amity: You could say that.
Emira: What happened to your other glove?
Amity: It's a long story. I'm gonna head up to my room. Hey, Em, can you fix up my coat later?
Emira: Sure.
Amity: Thanks. Come on, Ghost.
Amity walks to the stairs, and Ghosts follows. Afterward, Amity opens the door to her room and walks inside, gently tossing her remaining glove and earmuff to her desk. She throws herself onto her bed, and Ghost jumps up, lying right next to her. Seeing her palisman brings a smile to Amity's face as she strokes her palisman.
Amity: Today's been a real mixture of surprise and disappointment. She rubs her cat's chin. But at least I had you to help me get through it, Ghost.
Ghost purrs as her owner gently strokes and scratches her. After that, Amity twists around and faces up to the ceiling, thinking about what happened in Eclipse Lake.
(Flashback)
Amity's thoughts dwell on the moment she caught Yamato and the power she unleashed against Hunter.
That includes the way she kept morphing her arms into different types of weapons.
(End of Flashback)
Amity lifts herself up, looking at her hands in confusion. She's never done something like that before. She knows she's gotten stronger, but she didn't realize it was to this extent.
Amity: Just what was that power?
Concentrating for a bit, Amity's arms morph into large Abomination hands, much to her surprise. Then, they morph into scythes, blades, axes, and more sharp weaponry. Eventually, her arms revert to normal, and she's left stunned by her new powers.
Amity: I've never done anything like this before. Is this how Luke felt? The first time he unleashed his devil powers at Grom?
Ghost holds her arm in comfort.
Ghost: Meow.
Amity: You really think so, Ghost? Could I really be as strong as Luke if I master these powers?
Amity keeps closing and opening her hands for a bit before giving a sigh and getting up.
Amity: No use thinking about it now. I'd better turn in for the night.
Amity unzips and sexily removes her coat. As she does, Ghost widens her eyes in surprise at something Amity herself hasn't noticed. When she tosses her coat to her bed, Amity notices her palisman's expression.
Amity: Ghost? What's wrong, girl?
Ghost: Meow?
Amity: My arms? Amity lifts one of her arms. What's the matter with my-?
When Amity looks at her arms, she screams in shock, falling on her rear. She moves back, panting in panic, and stopping in front of a full-body mirror. When she looks at her reflection, she gasps, recoiling in shock. After calming down, she gets up, removes her bracelets, and walks over to the mirror, staring at her reflection as she brings up her arm, fully showing that it has become muscular and a large bicep has formed on it.
Amity: Oh, my Titan! What happened to my arm!?
Amity stands straight, flexing her new bicep in amazement.
Amity: Was it always this ripped?
Amity brings up her other arm, flexing it too and striking a double biceps pose.
Amity: When did I get so muscular?
Amity grunts a couple times as she flexes her biceps harder, making them slightly bigger in the process.
Amity: How did this even happen? Did my transformation cause this!?
Amity notices something else. She looks down, seeing her exposed abdomen is now sporting abs, and she gives them a good feel.
Amity: Hold on… are these abs!? And they feel so hard.
Curious, Amity removes her crop top and tosses it to her bed, leaving her with just a bikini top, trousers, and boots. Amity strikes a sexier double biceps pose, and upon seeing her full-body reflection in the mirror, she is speechless about the transformation her body has undergone. Amity has gained a huge increase in muscle mass while maintaining her lean figure and an overall ripped physique. She has gained powerful, well-defined muscles, sculpted biceps, chest muscles, and 6-pack abs. Amity is shocked, wondering how this happened, but at the same time, she's amazed.
Amity: Whoa… Her eyes become starry. Wow…
Hunter's not the only one who got something good out of today. Amity doesn't know how it happened, but somehow, the power she unleashed in Eclipse Lake has increased her body's musculature, making her stronger than ever before. And she has to admit, she likes it. She can only imagine how her friends, especially Luke, will react to this.
Well, looks like today wasn't a total bust for Hunter and Amity.
Amity now sees she has nothing to prove to Luke and has saved some Titan Blood for her boyfriend to use so he can get home. And as a bonus, she's gained a new power and has become ripped.
Hunter unlocked a new power, bonded with his Palisman, Flapjack, and acquired some Titan Blood for Belos to use.
Looks like the only one who came out of this a loser is Kikimora. LOL!
But… can Luke and Belos make use of half the Portal Key's Titan Blood? And how does Hunter have devil powers like Luke? And why does the Yamato react to him like that? Could he have some sort of connection to Sparda?
Up next, using some of Eda's supplies and the Titan Blood given to him by Amity, Luke has finally built his own portal door… albeit it's not how he hoped it to be. And when he uses it, he's in for a shock at what he's about to find out what's been going on on the other side.
Season 2 Episode 11 – Yesterday's Lie
I had always planned on giving Hunter his very own Devil Trigger.
As for Amity, she's made a start in unlocking her own transformational power. Originally, I was going to have that start in Season 3, but ultimately, I felt this episode would be the perfect start to unlocking her very own Abomination Form. It was recommended a Pseudo Form during Eclipse Lake by EliteOmega12. Amity's full transformation will come during my extended Season 3. I didn't have artwork drawn for this transformation, as it's just the whites in her eyes that have changed.
