Chapter 3

Water and fire, opposites.

Bella's pov

Well... now I am stuck here. What should I do?! Then, I suddenly thought of Raven. What if she found a way to save Aaron? I have to contact her somehow. I wonder where the knights sleep at night. I will go there. I am scared of what could possibly be there, but… I need to do this.

"Aren't you coming to sleep? It's late. I don't think there are people left to kill."

"Oh, if you say so."

I went after him, pretending I knew where he was going. Everything was as dark as the night in the room we had entered. I didn't recognise anything. There were only some nasty beds. I will sleep here only because I love Aaron too much to leave him here. I hope Olivia and Liliana are alright. I think so. Nothing could have happened while I was away. Except the figure…

I didn't get any sleep that night. I kept changing my sleep position. Some of the knights were snoring. I was so annoyed I screamed in the pillow. Everyone asked me why I wanted to sleep with my armour on, but I had to tell them I had acne, so they would believe me. I can't blow my cover. I decided to free Aaron that night. I sneaked out of the room, relieved. Where is Raven?! I heard crow sounds outside again. Maybe it's Raven? I think I am hallucinating. I was going to the prison when I bumped in someone. I got so frightened I was about to scream, like the last time I met with Raven, but this time it wasn't Raven! Or….

''Please please don't scream again! We will get caught quickly if so.''

''Raven?! What are you even doing here?!''

''Calm down. I found Aaron. He's-''

''In prison.'' We said at the same time.

''How did you find out?" Raven said, surprised.

''Long story. Let's go save him.''

Raven and I ran to the door that could lead us to the prison, but we saw a light coming from the room where people were killed. We tip toed to the front door because we realised we couldn't save Aaron in time. I could barely breathe. I haven't felt like that, ever. I can't imagine what if would like if we got caught. I am glad Raven is by my side. When we got to the bush, Liam disappeared. No… I told him to stay here… I hope the knights haven't caught him.

''I will wait for you here, and you enter by the window to save Aaron.''

''Deal…'' I said.

I left with a lot in my heart. This is the worst day of my life. I am really worried. The knights are sleeping now, it can't be that hard to get to Aaron. I will use my powers to unlock the prison door. I entered. No sound came from the room. It was like everything and everyone died. I felt like I was entering a cemetery. I don't know when it will be morning. I suppose it will be dark and windy even in the morning. I will get to Aaron even if it's the last thing I do in this life.

Aaron's pov

I am alone. The absence of light is killing me. I haven't missed Bella and the others like this in a long time. I heard the door opening and the light entered the room like the sun in the morning. I was so happy to see light, even though I knew it wasn't the sun's light, it was electric light. I believe the sun doesn't exist in this universe. I am the only one who can get me out of here. No one will come after me and I have to step out of my own thoughts and accept the situation I am in. Someone gentler stepped in the room. I didn't know who it was. I thought it was only a slim knight. The steps were heard in the room like music. It was like the knight stepped in the room with fear. I questioned it, but I was too tired to think straight. Nothing made sense anymore. Someone who was using my miraculous came to my door. My jaw dropped. I was so shocked I hid in a corner, thinking it was just a dream.

''Aaron!''

That was the only thing I heard before I fainted. I was so scared and confused I fainted.

Bella's pov

I saw Aaron faint in front of my eyes and I couldn't do anything to stop it. I tried to use my powers, but I was so sad I couldn't. These stupid powers only work when I focus! I hate this about the miraculouses! I could barely open a window… I can't break the door for sure. I heard loud screams coming from outside the room. I pulled and pushed the door hoping it would open, but my efforts didn't make a difference. I have to escape before they kill me! The king was giving orders to the sleepy knights. They knew there was an intruder in the castle. I can't hide anymore. They entered the room and found me. I froze. I couldn't move. The new feelings were so strong I felt water in my hands. What is that?! I think it's the opposite of my power. The fire power and the water power… a girl and a boy…. Everything is the opposite. My miraculous and Aaron's complete each other in every universe. When they saw the water, the knights ran out of the room. The water splashed from my hands and suddenly everything in the room was wet. I couldn't stop the water. I remembered that the fire in my hands stopped when I calmed down… maybe it's the same? I inhaled and exhaled. There was no water left in the room as soon as I did that. Raven entered the prison.

''What happened?! Why is everything in the room wet?!"

''I can't explain! Free everyone and take Aaron!''

As soon as we began freeing everyone, an army of knights came. We were only two girls. We couldn't control our powers because we were so frightened and we couldn't stay calm. Aaron woke up in the meantime, very confused. I thought about what Bearzy 2.0 (Bearzy's kwami) said: ''A boy thinks more different than a girl and the other way around, and if you don't complete each other, the world won't be the way you see it now.'' That was deep. I only understood it now. We were in the middle of the army. They all had guns. We had to get out of there, but the chances of survival were little. I have to find a plan before it's too late… I heard a window break. I was so closed to the window the shards cut my back. I wasn't wearing the armour anymore. The king appeared and took one of my hands.

''If you agree to marry me, I will leave those two alive and treat you like a queen.'' He said, pointing at Raven and Aaron with grossness.

''Uh…''
