Chapter 4

An escape

Bella's pov

What should I do!? If I accept, Raven and Aaron are going to be saved, but I have to live with this gross man. If I don't… I don't even want to think about it… I have to make a decision before he does it for me!

''I accept… but please keep them alive and let them live here.''

''Ugh! Ok! Just for you!''

I am really mad. I don't want to marry this king I don't even know. I saw the look on Aaron's face when I accepted… I hope he doesn't actually believe I love this creep. I need to save them, I can't live in peace in this world without them. A tear streamed down my cheek. The knights left and I had a moment for myself. Not really though…

''WHY DID YOU ACCEPT?!" yelled Aaron.

''I had to!''

Raven was looking at the scene with nothing to say. Raven is one of my best friends, I am sure she understands me, but she just doesn't want to be a part of this fight. Aaron remained silent. We stared at each other. Suddenly, I looked around and saw leaves and trees. What in the world?! These were not here 5 minutes ago!

''What?!" asked Raven, in confusion.

Liam entered by the window and greeted us.

''Oh! Sorry guys, I am still learning how to use it.''

''USE WHAT?!"

I was shocked. Does he have a power but doesn't use a miraculous?

''My power, of course.''

''You have powers?'' asked Aaron.

''Yes! I thought you knew. I have the power of nature. I discovered it yesterday.''

I had some flashbacks from that time I used the power of fire and from now when I used the power of water.

''How do you use a power without a miraculous?'' Raven asked.

''I am the only one who is that special. I can use this power when I want. The power of nature is one of the strongest powers in the world. It will be very helpful in our journey.''

''Are you speaking Chinese?!''

We burst out laughing at Raven's comment. I was surprised by what Liam said, but happy because we will have more help now. The king stormed in the room and kicked Liam out.

''This boy was not part of our deal. And WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!''

''Long story. Now I am really tired, I want to sleep. In the same room with Raven and Aaron though because I know you plan to kill them.''

''We aren't even married and you already know me so well.'' said the king.

I rolled my eyes and ignored what he said. I don't want to deal with this now. A knight gave us a room, but when I looked closer I noticed she was a girl. I didn't believe girls can be knights.

''How come you are a girl?" I whispered.

''That is how I was born.'' She joked.

The girl seemed nice. More knights came and locked us in our room. I didn't catch the girl's name. I don't know if she is genuinely nice or just faking. I tried to sleep, but I couldn't. No one could fall asleep. The bedroom looked like it was abandoned. Dirt was all over the walls and the beds were dirty as well. I kept changing my position. I was stressed about many things. The door opened slowly and someone entered. I couldn't see who because it was too dark.

''I can get you out of here.'' Said a girl voice.

I recognised it instantly and jumped out of the bed. Raven and Aaron had tense faces. They thought it was a trap, but I explained everything to them. They believed me because I said that, and no one else.

''There is a window there, but as you can see it's locked. I have the key in my pocket and you can escape through there.''

''Why would you help us? Don't you work for the king? You know the king wants us here, don't you?'' asked Aaron.

''Of course I know. I am sorry for the situation you are in so I decided to help you get out. The king doesn't have to know.''

Aaron thought about it for a bit and accepted. He wasn't really sure about the plan, but he wanted to get out of there the most. The girl opened the window with a wooden key and we jumped through. I was about to fall when Aaron grabbed my hand. I smiled and blushed. We haven't talked in a while and after all, we're boyfriend and girlfriend. There were a lot of weeds and we couldn't pass them. The knight had a sword and teared them down.

''What's your name?'' I asked.

''Mia! Why?"

''If we get caught we won't tell them anything about you.''

''Thanks so much!''

She kept using her sword while we were talking, but she accidentally bruised me.

''I am so sorry!''

It was bleeding, but I got over it. It was nothing serious.

''It's ok…''

Aaron glared at her. Raven was speechless. Raven and I were a little before them.

''I don't have a good feeling about this girl. I think she hit you on purpose.'' Said Raven.

''Nonsense. It can happen to anyone.''

Raven wasn't so sure about my opinion and said:
''If something bad happens you can't say I didn't warn you.''

I nodded and ignored her. Right when our conversation was over I saw Mia and Aaron holding hands. My eyes widened and I thought I was imagining. I didn't think Aaron was capable of cheating on me. They just met! If he met my girl best friends what would he do?! I slowly walked towards them and yelled:

''What in the world are you doing?!''

They let go and Aaron turned to me fast.

''It is not what it seems like!''

''Yeah sure! I saw you!''

The silence was the only thing that could be heard in that moment. Raven caught up with me and whispered.

''Told you…''

''How could you do this to me?! What were you going to do with her if I wasn't here!?"

''She took my hand first!"

''You are a couple…?'' asked Mia.

''Of course we are, duck face!''

When we were arguing we heard a sound coming from the woods. It seemed like it was a wild animal.

''IT'S A BLACK BEAR!'' screamed Raven.

She took my hand and we hid in a bush. Aaron and Mia hid in the bush next to us. I noticed a mouth pooping up from one of the bushes. The bear started to smell around. It was HUGE! I have never saw a bear this big and aggressive. Raven blew in her kazoo and the bear got scared. I didn't know she could do that.

''How-''

She signalled me to be quiet until the bear walked away. After 5 minutes we got out of the bush. I am relieved.

''Stop arguing or we will get eaten by the wild animals in this forest.'' Said Raven.

''So I am supposed to escape with them?!'' I asked, pointing to Aaron and Mia.

''You have to. Plus, we also have to save Liam.''

I accepted because Raven said so and we continued our mission.

''They will start looking for us tomorrow.''

I was shaking at the thought of getting married with that king. I hope we will get home safely. Are Olivia and Liliana alright? The figure didn't defeat them! That's what I like to think…
