Chapter 1; The Dragon World

Hiccup took Eric, Knight, and Tera to his village, which was full of wooden huts. And in Hiccup's hut, Hiccup had given Knight and Tera a small amount of food and water. And as for Eric. After Eric treated his wounded, he put on some new clothes Hiccup gave him. Now Eric was wearing a black long sleeve shirt and gray fur pants. Once Eric returned to Hiccup, Knight and Tera, he took a spot next to the fireplace and said to Hiccup. "Thank you for all of these."

"It's no trouble at all."

"But, I have a question?"

"And that would be?"

"What is this place?"

"This is Berk. It is twelve days north of hopeless and a few degrees south of freezing to death. It's located solidly on the meridian of misery."

"Great. What about your town?"

"Town? You mean my village?"

"Yeah, that's what I meant."

"Ok. My village. In a word, sturdy. It's been here for seven generations, but every single building is new."

"Ok, I have to ask. Why is every single building new?"

"We have fishing, hunting and a charming view of the sunset."

"You are dodging my question." Eric said before something fast flew past the window. "What was that?" Eric said before getting up and turning to the window. Hiccup then said to Eric. "That would be the pests."

"Pests?"

"You see, most places have mice or mosquitoes. We have… dragons."

"Wait, what!?" Eric said just as an actual dragon, not a Dragon Type Pokemon, appeared at the window. The dragon saw them and breathed fire on them. Hiccup closed the window in time and then started to leave. Eric then said to Hiccup. "Where are you going!? It's safer in here!" Then another fire blast hit the house, and a fire started. And while Knight put out the fire with his Water Gun move, Eric feared for the safety of Tera who didn't see the danger, and the Pokemon Egg that was still inside his bag. So he placed Tera in his backpack, grabbed his backpack, and said as he and Knight were running after Hiccup. "Wait for us!"

As Eric was following Hiccup, he saw dragons grabbing the village's livestock and their nets full of fishes, and the villagers were fighting the dragons off the best they could. What surprised Eric was that everyone, besides Hiccup, had a Pokemon Partner and they were also fighting the dragons. Once Eric and Knight caught up to Hiccup, Eric said to Hiccup. "Hiccup!? If this is normal, then why don't your people leave?!"

"Most people would leave. Not us. We're Vikings. We have stubbornness issues." Hiccup said as Eric soon noticed that they were giving him a suspicious look and telling Hiccup to go inside.

Then as they reached the center of the village, a dragon almost hit Hiccup, Eric, and Knight with a fire breath attack, but a big male Viking with a very long red bread grabbed Hiccup and Eric, and a Kingambit grabbed Knight, and pulled them away in time. "Who are you!?" The Viking said to Eric and then he said to Hiccup. "What are you doing out?! Get inside!" The Viking and the Kingambit then pushed them away. As they were walking Eric said to Hiccup. "Who were those two?"

"That's Stoick the Vast, chief of the tribe. They say when he was a baby, he popped a dragon's head clean off its shoulders. And his BattleMon; Sword Walker the Kingambit. Sword Walker is so skilled, that just by looking at a mountain, he cuts it in half."

"And you believe that?"

"Yes, I do." Hiccup said and then next moment, Stoick picked up a cart and threw it at a dragon in the sky, without anyone's help. As for Sword Walker, charged and used Iron Head on a dragon attacking a female Viking and her Pokemon panther. The attack connected and it seriously hurt the dragon, so it flew away in fear. Stoick then said to one of the other male Vikings as Sword Walker returned to Stoick's side. "What do we got?"

"Gronckles. Nadders. Zipplebacks. Oh, and Hoark saw a Monstrous Nightmare." The male Viking said before a fireball hit close to them. Everyone ducked, but not Stoick or Sword Walker. And after Stoick cleared off some of the embers of his shoulder plate, he said to the male Viking. "Any Night Furies, or Steam Whips?"

"No Night Furies or Steam Whips so far sir."

"Good." Stoick said as the other villagers started to hoist the torches. Hiccup, Eric, and King then entered the village blacksmith shop. Inside was the city blacksmith, a medium round size male Viking that had a right wooden leg and his left arm was a hammer. And by the forge was a Coalossal, that was keeping the fire let. The Viking then said to Hiccup as he was fixing a sword. "Oh! Nice of you to join the party! I thought you'd been carried off!"

"Who, me? Come on, I'm way too muscular for their taste. They wouldn't know what to do with all this." Hiccup said as he got rid of his vest and put on an apron. The Viking said as he removed his hammer arm and replace it was a pair of tongs. "They need toothpicks, don't they?"

"Now who are these guys?" Eric said as Hiccup opened the shop and Vikings gave him bent weapons. Hiccup then, with Eric's help, put the weapons in a pile of embers, and Hiccup said to Eric as he was pumping air into the embers. "The meathead with attitude and interchangeable hands is Gobber. I've been his apprentice since I was little. Well, littler. And that is Coal the Coalossal. He's been helping Gobber long before I got here."

Eric then looked outside just as Stoick and Sword Walker took a few of the Vikings and their Pokemon Partners to the catapults for a counterattack, and then a dragon set someone's house on fire. "I see what you meant by the old village being old and you guys having a lot of new houses." Eric said to Hiccup before a male Viking screamed fire. Then a group of kids their age with Pokemon and a rolling water wagon ran past them to fight the fire. Hiccup joined Eric and Eric said to him. "Who are they?"

"That's Fishlegs and Sparky," Hiccup said, pointing to a big male Viking with a Yamper. "Snotlout and Hookblade," Hiccup said, pointing to a short male Viking with a Scyther. "the twins: Ruffnut and Tuffnut, and their Pokemon Sting and Pinch," Hiccup said, pointing to a pair of twins that were skinny Vikings that looked very similar, followed by two Nidoran. The only difference was that Ruffnut and Pinch were girls and Tuffnut and Sting were guys. "...and…" Hiccup said looking at a Viking girl with short blond hair with a Chespin. Eric then turned to Hiccup and said. "Hiccup?" Eric said, waving his hand in front of Hiccup's face before turning back to the girl, who put water on the fire and then turned around just before a fireball exploded behind her. "...Astrid." Hiccup said and Eric noticed that Hiccup totally had a crush on her. Eric snapped Hiccup back to reality and he said. "Oh! And her BattleMon; Spikeball."

"Ok, good to know. Now can I ask why you are trying to leave this place." Eric said as Hiccup was climbing out the window. Gobber then appeared and pulled Hiccup back. Hiccup then said to Gobber. "Come on. Let me out, please. I need to make my mark."

"You've made plenty of marks, all in the wrong places."

"Please, two minutes. I'll kill a dragon. My life will get infinitely better. I might even get a date."

"You have no BattleMon. You can't lift a hammer. You can't swing an axe. You can't even throw one of these!" Gobber said before pulling out a bola. A female Viking then grabbed the bola then threw it at a dragon, which caused the dragon to crash. Hiccup then said to Gobber as he moved to a wooden cannon. "Ok, fine, but this will throw it for me." The moment Hiccup touched it, it unfolded into a launcher and shot out a long bola at Eric and Knight. Eric and Knight ducked in time, but it did hit Coal. As Coal was recovering from the bola, Gobber then said to Hiccup. "See? Now this right here is what I'm talking about!"

"Mild calibration issue…"

"Hiccup! If you ever want to get out there to fight dragons… you need to stop all this." Gobber said, pointing everywhere on Hiccup. Hiccup then said to Gobber. "But you just pointed to all of me."

"Yes, that's it! Stop being all of you."

"Ohh…"

"Oh, yes."

"You, sir, are playing a dangerous game. Keeping this much raw Vikingness contained? There will be consequences!"

"I'll take my chances. Sword. Sharpen. Now." Gobber said, giving Hiccup a sword. As Gobber returned to the front counter, and as Hiccup sharpened the sword. Eric looked outside and said to Hiccup. "Why do you want to kill a dragon?"

"Because killing a dragon is everything around here." Hiccup then stopped sharpening the sword and walked over to Eric. "A Nadder head is sure to get me at least noticed." Hiccup said, pointing at a dragon with spikes that covered its tail. "Gronckles are tough. Taking down one of those would definitely get me a girlfriend." Hiccup said, pointing at a dragon that looked like it was three rocks put together. "A Zippleback? Exotic. Two heads, twice the status." Hiccup said, pointing at a dragon with two heads. Back with Stoick and Sword Walker, as they were readying a catapult, a male Viking said to them. "They found the sheep!"

"Concentrate fire over the lower bank." Stoick said and they fired at the dragons going after the sheep. "And then there's the Monstrous Nightmare. Only the best Vikings go after those. They have this nasty habit of setting themselves on fire." Hiccup said, pointing at a dragon that was on fire and attacking the catapult Stoick and Sword Walker was at. As Stoick and Sword Walker defended the catapult, Eric said to Hiccup. "Would that mean you're going after the Monstrous Nightmare?"

"No."

"No?"

"I'm going for the ultimate prize."

"And what dragon is that?"

"A dragon no one's ever seen. We call it the…" Hiccup said before everyone heard some kind of high pitch whistle sound. "Night Fury!" A male Viking yelled before a purple fireball hit the catapult that Stoick and Sword Walker was at. Stoick, Sword Walker and the others were fine, but the catapult was blasted into pieces. "Jump!" Stoick said before the catapult pieces crashed down onto them. They all jumped out of the way in time, so no one was hurt. Hiccup then said to Eric. "This thing never steals food, never shows itself, and…" Then the Night Fury destroyed the stone town that the catapult rested on. "...never misses. No one has ever killed a Night Fury. That's why I'm going to be the first."

"Man the fort, Hiccup. They need me out there." Gobber said to Hiccup as he switched his hand with a battle ax. Before Gobber and Coal left, Gobber said to Hiccup. "Stay. Put. There. You know what I mean." Gobber and Coal then charged into battle. And the moment Hiccup took off his apron and grabbed his vest. Hiccup then moved to his lancer and Eric stopped him. "Didn't Gobber tell you to stay here?"

"Yes, because this is my chance." Hiccup said and Eric saw that Hiccup was very serious about this. Knight was also serious about helping Hiccup. So with a heavy sigh, Eric decided to help Hiccup. Because he knew nothing was going to stop him. "Then I'll help you." Eric said before he took over for Hiccup. Hiccup then said to Eric. "Really?"

"Yes. Now let's go before I change my mind." Eric said as he pushed the lancer out of the blacksmith with Hiccup directing Eric where to go, and Knight riding the launcher. As Stoick, Sword Walker and a few of the Vikings and their Pokemon captured a few Nadders, Hiccup made Eric take the lancer to an area away from the battle.

Once the lancer was set up, Hiccup started to watch the night sky, and Tera popped its head out of Eric's bag to see what was going on. "Come on. Give me something to shoot at." Hiccup said as he was trying to find the Night Fury. It took a while, but Hiccup noticed a dark patch in the night sky that told him where the Night Fury was. Then a moment after the Night Fury destroyed another catapult, Hiccup took his shot. The recoil caused Hiccup to be pushed to the ground. As Eric helped Hiccup up, they heard the Night Fury roar, and that told them that Hiccup had hit the Night Fury. Then they saw the Night Fury going down some inside the forest area of the island. Hiccup then said to Eric. "I hit it. Yes, I hit it! Did you see that?"

"Yes, and so did that guy!" Eric said pointing behind Hiccup. Behind Hiccup, a sea blue dragon with wing arms, no back legs, and black circles that formed lines across the top, bottom, left, and right sides of the body, and four foldable tail wings. As Hiccup and Eric saw it crush Hiccup's launcher and that was looking at them with sapphire blue eyes. "Hiccup, what dragon is that?" Eric said to Hiccup and Hiccup said to Eric. "That's a Steam Whip. It turns the water it's absorbed into steam to escape or…" Then the Steam Whip fired a powerful stream of steam at them. They dodge it in time by getting down, and Hiccup said. "…and attack with great force and accuracy."

"Great." Eric said before the Pokemon Egg and Tera fell out of his bag. The Steam Whip was curious about the egg and Tera that it took its attention off Hiccup and Eric. "Get away from that!" Eric yelled and Knight responded with force. Knight used his Pound move on its head. This annoyed the Steam Whip, and as it was trying to get Knight off its head. Eric quickly picked up Tera and the egg. "Is that a BattleMon egg?" Hiccup said as Eric put them both back into his backpack. Once he put the backpack back on, the Steam Whip had thrown Knight away from it. Knight was caught by Eric, and the Steam Whip then looked right at them. Hiccup and Eric knew that the Steam Whip was really mad now. "Talk later! Run now!" Eric said as Knight used his Water Gun move on the Steam Whip. It didn't hurt the Steam Whip, but it gave Eric and Hiccup a chance to run away. The Steam Whip roared at them before it started to chase them.

As they both were screaming, trying to get away from the Steam Whip, Stoick and Sword Walker heard them. Stoick sighed and said to the others. "Do not let them escape!" Stoick and Sword Walker then went to help Hiccup, Eric, and Knight. Which was a good thing too. The Steam Whip was still chasing them and was firing very hot steam at them. They took cover from behind a torch, but the Steam Whip used its tail to break the iron at the base, and this was done after releasing steam from the black hole on its tail giving its tail much more power. Hiccup and Eric were knocked down, and they were mostly fine. And as for the Steam Whip, it got closer to them and it was going to attack them. However Stoick and Sword Walker appeared and tackling the Steam Whip away from Hiccup and Eric. Stoick then picked up a log and started to use it like a club on the Steam Whip, and Sword Walker was using Kowtow Cleave to attack the Steam Whip, which gave the Steam Whip a few cuts and a scare under its right eye. The Steam Whip was tired of the beating it was taking, and after one last look at Eric and his bag. The Steam Whip reached a lot of steam from all of the black holes across its whole body. Once the steam cleared, everyone saw that the Steam Whip was gone. Then Eric said to Hiccup as they were getting up. "So, anything else I need to know?"

"There is one more thing you need to know." Hiccup said before they heard the sound of cracking wood. The torch the Steam Whip hit started to break and it fell right on top of the Vikings and Pokemon that were keeping the dragons secured. It didn't hurt or kill anyone, but the dragons were set free, and they took most of the Viking's livestock with them as they left. As the Vikings watched the dragons leave with their catch, Hiccup said to Stoick. "Sorry, Dad."
