(Somewhere in Vale)
A portal opened up and Issei was tossed through it, hitting the ground comically. Not long after, Alucard and Fu came out of the portal casually. "Welcome to your new home away from home for the foreseeable future," said Fu playfully.
Issei picked himself up and looked angrily at the pair. "You guys are gonna pay for that!" Issei shouted as he charged at the two. He threw a punch that Alucard grabbed.
"Now now. You can't do anything to us with your powers sealed. It wouldn't be hard to snap you in two right now," he said rather sadistically.
"Alucard," said Fu in a warning tone.
"Still no fun," complained Alucard as he pushed Issei back. "Well, I did my job so I'm outta here," he said as he went back through the portal.
"Hey! Wait!" yelled Issei trying to chase after him, when he was cut off by Fu.
"Sorry, but you'll be staying here for now."
"What's your game? Why are you just leaving me here?"
"Ah, so you're starting to catch on. Sorry to say but telling you would erase the point. You'll have to fend for yourself for now, but before that…" Fu took out his sword again and launched the same magic he used in Issei earlier, but this time when it hit him, he felt his power return. Issei looked confused while Fu smiled in satisfaction. "I've restored your powers. You're gonna be needing them while you're here after all."
Issei was now really confused. "Seriously, what are you guys trying to do?"
"That's what we're all trying to find out, isn't it? Ta ta," said Fu cheerfully, before he went through the portal, and it closed behind him.
Issei reached out but it was too late, and the portal was gone. He looked around and saw he was in some alleyway. He looked at the sky and saw it was dusk. Well, looks like I'm stuck here. Man, I was having such a great day too. Why did I have to jinx it? he thought to himself as he left the alley.
[You do have a bad habit of doing that.] said Ddraig through their thought connection.
Oh, there you are, Ddraig. I thought you were sleeping or something.
[How could I sleep through all that? That guy that sealed my powers also sealed my connection to you. Once he undid it, I could talk again.]
What the heck is up with those guys? How could they do all that?
[Beats me. I've never seen anything like them.]
As Issei looked around, he saw normal people as well as people with animal features walking around normally. Ok. This is definitely not my world. Either that or there's some convention I don't know about going on. Issei walked down the street, trying to figure out where he was, when he saw someone in a red hood walking down the street towards him. He decided to take a chance and asked someone for info. "Uhm, excuse me. Could I ask you something?" he said while tapping the person's shoulder.
The person in question was a bit startled as her hood fell off her head. Underneath it was a girl with red and black hair and silver eyes. Her outfit could be described as being a modern red riding hood costume. She also was wearing headphones which was why she was surprised by Issei tapping her. The girl looked at Issei while removing her headphones. "Yes? Is there something I can help you with?"
"Uh yeah. Sorry to startle you. I didn't know you were wearing headphones. You see, I'm kinda new around here and have no idea where I am. Could you help me out?"
"Oh! Sure, that's no problem. I was actually heading to a shop nearby and I'm pretty sure they have maps of the city there. Why don't you come with?"
"Sure, that sounds good. My name's Issei. Hyoudou Issei."
"I'm Ruby Rose. It's nice to meet you, Issei."
"Likewise." The two started heading towards the shop that Ruby mentioned and as they walked Issei noticed people walking around with weapons on them. They looked like adventurers from a fantasy series except with more modern weapons.
Ruby noticed his look and decided to ask him something. "You like weapons?"
"Huh? Oh, it's not that. I'm just not used to seeing people openly carry weapons with them. Is that normal around here?"
"Well, yeah, for Huntsman and Huntresses. Carrying weapons is the norm. I'm actually a Huntress-in-training," said Ruby as she patted the metal red box object that was hidden by her cape.
"Oh? And what do Huntsman and Huntresses do?"
Ruby looked at Issei a bit perplexed. This was obvious knowledge to everyone, so someone who didn't know anything seemed strange. "You're kidding, right? Everybody knows what Huntsman do." Issei looked away a bit sheepishly and Ruby felt embarrassed because she realized she might have been rude. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you. I was just surprised that there was someone who didn't know what a Huntsman is."
"There weren't any Huntsman where I'm from," said Issei. It wasn't a lie, but he knew he was being misleading.
"Then how did you defend against Grimm?"
She's throwing a lot of terms at me that I don't know about. I assume the Grimm are some kind of monster in this world, Issei thought to himself. "We had people to defend our home, me included. We just don't call them Huntsmen I guess."
"Oh, I see. Well, that's a relief I guess. Where are you from?"
"A place called Kuoh."
"Huh. Never heard of it."
Issei gave a small chuckle. "It's not surprising. It's a small place outside any major city. Didn't really leave it all that much."
"So, what made you come to Vale?"
So this place is called Vale. "I didn't come here willingly. I was kidnapped."
"K-kidnapped! What happened?!"
"To be honest, I don't really get it myself. I was having the best day ever. Had a great date with the people I love, then suddenly these three guys just jump me and take me away. Next thing I know they dumped me in a nearby alley and said, "good luck" and left. I'm honestly just so confused as to what the hell the point of this is."
"That's, a weird story. But that's still messed up. If I see those guys, I'll totally kick their butts."
"I appreciate the sentiment, but they were no joke. Like I said before, I'm a fighter too but they had an ability to suppress my strength. They would probably do the same for you too."
"They can stop semblances!? What's up with those guys?"
Semblances…. Another term I don't know. Maybe it's this world's magic, thought Issei.
[If that's the case then we're gonna have to hold back on our abilities until we can figure out what we can and can't do.]
Issei agreed with Ddraig's judgment. "I have no clue. I'd never even seen them before."
"Wait, do you know how to get home?" Ruby asked, a bit worried for Issei. Issei shrugged a bit helplessly. "Do you have anywhere to stay?" Issei shook his head in denial. "Do you have any lien?"
"...What's lien?" Issei asked, a bit hesitantly. He figured it was money, but he wanted to be sure.
"You don't have money either! What are you gonna do?!"
"I don't know. That's why I'm trying to figure out where I am. I don't know anything about anything around here."
"I see. Well don't worry. Ruby Rose is here to show you the ropes!" said Ruby while making a confident pose. Issei couldn't help but think it was funny and adorable at the same time.
"Thanks Ruby. I really appreciate it."
The two made their way to a store called From Dust Till Dawn and Ruby led Issei inside. They walked to the back of the store and Issei looked around at the unfamiliar items in the store. Eventually Ruby found a rack of magazines in the back and a map of Vale was nearby. "Here you go. A map of Vale."
"Thanks," said Issei as he took the map and gave it a look. He looked at the various landmarks but none of them seemed to help him understand his situation better.
Ruby seemed to notice Issei's stern look and was worried. "Is it helpful?"
"Ah, sorry. It will help me walk around but I don't recognize anything that's mentioned. I'm not even sure what this stuff in the store is."
"You've never heard of Dust either? How did you fight the Grimm?" asked Ruby bewildered again.
"The old-fashioned way?" said Issei, not sure how to respond.
"You must be crazy strong then! You could probably give my sister a run for her money! I can't imagine how strong you'd be with Dust at your disposal too!"
"If I can figure out how to use it."
Ruby looked around and saw an info station with headphones attached to it against the wall. She grabbed them and handed them to Issei. "Here, listen to this. It will give you a basic explanation on Dust and the different types."
"Oh, like one of those museum headsets that tell you about the art or artifact," said Issei, understanding it. Ruby nodded and Issei put on the headset to listen to the info. Ruby saw that Issei was becoming engrossed with the information he was given so she decided to do what she had originally planned to do and read one of the magazines. She put her headphones back on to listen to music as she read.
Some time passed as the two were engrossed in their respective activities with Issei learning about Dust and where it comes from, as well as its many applications. This is basically if someone took magic and made it an ore of some kind. Maybe we could pass off some of our magic as Dust, but we would have to carry some on us, thought Issei.
[We would need something to use it to cover our tracks as well. We should think about making a weapon of our own here,] suggested Ddraig.
Issei nodded as he agreed with his partner, but soon he was brought out of his mental conversation by a hand on his shoulder. He turned around to see a guy with shades and a red sword in his hand. He also got Ruby's attention too and he pointed at his ears to gesture for both of them to take off their headphones. They both did, with Issei looking at him wearily and Ruby looking confused. "Yes?" said Ruby.
"I said, hands where I can see 'em," said the thug.
Issei unconsciously clenched his fist while Ruby still sounded confused. "Are… are you robbing us?"
"Yes!" said the thug, clearly annoyed.
"Ohhhhh…" said Ruby, not looking threatened at all.
Ruby kicked the thug in the gut so fast Issei barely registered she moved. He took this opportunity while she was distracted, and the thug was gone to summon his Gear as he saw some similar looking people behind him when he was trying to rob them. Not a moment later another thug came running with a gun. "Freeze!" he shouted as he pointed it at them, but Ruby rushed him down. A couple other guys came in trying to attack her, but Issei charged in and got them off her. As they scuffled Ruby and Issei ended up smashing through the store window using the thugs as shields.
The thugs and their boss looked out the window as Ruby and Issei stood back up. Issei was ready to fight but his attention was grabbed by Ruby as she unfolded her weapon, revealing it to be a giant scythe. She gave a smug look to the thugs before twirling the scythe and impaling it in the ground in front of her. The entire time her music was still playing from her headphones, and she quickly turned it off so it wouldn't be distracting. Not gonna lie, that little show with the music was actually kinda cool, Issei thought.
The Crime Boss and the thugs were staring at them through the broken window and the boss seemed unamused. "Okayyy… Get them," he ordered, and the thugs ran out of the shop to fight them.
Issei took on a few thugs with some hand-to-hand combat. Despite their swords they swung them around like clubs. These guys are more like amateurs than me. Kiba would be appalled by this. Issei decided that he would show the difference. "Ascalon!"
[Blade!]
His sword extended from his Gear and he blocked two thugs' swings at the same time. He pushed the back before swiping at them. He held back as to not kill them but was surprised when his attack didn't cut them. Instead, their bodies glowed as if protected by some forcefield. They still took damage from the attack and were knocked out. So, the people here have some kind of protection against attacks. It felt a bit similar to senjutsu but not quite the same, thought Issei.
He checked to see how Ruby was doing and was captivated by her fight. She moved agilely as she dodged all the thugs' attacks and countered with her own. Despite using a scythe, she managed to beat all the thugs without cutting them, only using the weapon as an extension of herself to get around and using the blunt parts to hit the enemy. What really surprised Issei was that the scythe also seemed to be combined with a gun and Ruby used it to move around the battlefield with great precision and speed, all while dodging gunfire. After knocking out the last thug, who landed near the Crime Boss, she readied herself next to Issei who also readied to fight the leader. The Crime Boss looked down at the thug next to him in disappointment. "You were worth every cent, truly you were," he said sarcastically while taking one last puff of his cigar. "Well, Red, I think we can all say it's been an eventful evening, and as much as I'd love to stick around…" He used his cane to put out the cigar he dropped before pointing it at them. "I'm afraid this is where we part ways." The bottom of the cane opened revealing a targeting sight and fired a blast at the pair.
Ruby used her scythe to propel herself into the air while Issei dodge rolled out of the way of the blast. Once they both got their footing, they noticed the Crime Boss was gone. They looked around until Ruby spotted him going up a ladder on the side of a nearby building. Ruby looks at the shop owner who was watching from his broken window. "You ok if we go after him?" asked Ruby. The man gave an affirmative grunt and Ruby blasted off after the guy. Issei followed after her by releasing his wings and flying up after her. He figured it was fine since there were people with animal features in this world. They both made it to the roof as the Crime Boss was running. "Hey!" yelled Ruby.
The Crime Boss stopped at the edge of the building when he was called. "Persistent…"
"Where you off to in such a rush? Leaving the party so soon?" taunted Issei.
Before any could make a move, a plane appeared in front of the group. It shined a blinding light on Ruby and Issei while opening up to let the Crime Boss in. He got on while they were distracted and once on, taunted them. "End of the line, kids," he said as he revealed a dust crystal he took from the shop. He threw it at them before firing a shot at it to blow them up. Issei instinctively went in front of Ruby to protect her but someone else had jumped down from above them and landed in front of them and created a barrier to protect them. "Whoa-ho-ho!" the Crime Boss cheered as he thought he got them. But once the smoke cleared, he noticed that they were protected. "Huh?"
"A magic circle?" said Issei, surprised at the barrier. Ruby looked at the woman in awe.
The woman seemed to respond to his words by looking over her shoulder a moment before redirecting her attention onto the aircraft. Issei noticed that what he thought was a wand in her hand was actually a riding crop. She swung it and a bunch of energy projectiles came out and hit the ship. The attacks moved and hit the ship from all sides causing it to rock around in the air. The Crime Boss staggered his way to the cockpit and addressed the current pilot. "We got a Huntress!" he said as the pilot got up and he took over.
The Huntress launched another attack aimed above the ship and dark clouds began to form above the ship, raining down shards of ice onto the ship. The former pilot made her way to the still open side hanger door of the ship, her face obscured by shadow, and launched a fireball at the Huntress, which was blocked by another barrier. Some of the fire sprayed the ground around her and apparently tried to explode, but the Huntress dodged out of the way. What followed was a series of attacks as each foe traded attacks until the assailant neutralized the Huntress' last attack. Seeing as it was a stalemate Ruby decided to fire a few shots at the woman, but she blocked her shots with her hand. Issei also readied a dragon shot to shoot down the aircraft when he stopped himself. If I shoot it down here it could crash down below and hurt someone or hit a building, he thought to himself. The assailant had enough and created more fire mines under the whole group. Issei went to grab Ruby and immediately used his wings to propel themselves out of the way. The Huntress also dodged the attack.
Apparently, that was the opening they needed as the criminals took off. The group was left staring at the escaping vehicle until Ruby turned to the woman. "You're a Huntress! Can I have your autograph?" she asked.
… Really? thought Issei, a bit bewildered by Ruby's priorities.
Later the two found themselves sitting at a table in an interrogation room as the Huntress circled them and was giving them an earful. "I hope you both realize that your actions tonight will not be taken lightly. You put yourselves and others in great danger."
"They started it!" protested Ruby
"Yeah! They tried to mug us as they were robbing the store! We wouldn't have even noticed because we were both wearing headphones at the time if they didn't walk up to us!" said Issei, adding to her explanation.
The Huntress gave a disappointed look as she continued. "If it were up to me, you'd both be sent home… with a pat on the back…" Ruby looked happy for a moment while Issei was waiting for the catch. "And a slap on the wrist," she said while using her riding crop to hit the table in front of them, which surprised Ruby while Issei internally rolled his eyes. "But… there is someone here who would like to meet you."
The pair gave her confused looks before she moved out of the way to reveal a man walking in with a coffee mug and a plate of cookies. Issei eyed the man curiously while Ruby was staring at the man in an unreadable expression. "Ruby Rose…" started the man. He came closer and leaned in to near eye level with Ruby. "You… have silver eyes."
"Um…" Ruby wasn't sure how to respond and Issei also thought that was a weird way to start a conversation, although now that he mentioned it Ruby did have a unique eye color.
"So! Where did you learn to do this?" he asked while the Huntress showed a recording of the fight they were both in earlier.
When did they record that? thought Issei.
"S-Signal Academy," answered Ruby.
"They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?" he asked, slightly surprised.
"Well, one teacher in particular."
"I see…" said the man, now placing the cookies in front of Ruby, who after a moment of hesitation started scarfing them down.
"Jeez Ruby, breathe between bites," said Issei slightly amused.
The man gave a glance at Issei before returning to Ruby. "It's just that I've only seen one scythe-wielder of that skill before. A dusty old crow."
"Mmmm! Thash muh unkul!" said Ruby with her mouth full. The man gave her a look and she swallowed before trying again. "Sorry, that's my Uncle Qrow! He's a teacher at Signal! I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing. And now I'm all like— Hooowaaah! Witchaaaa!" said Ruby while doing karate chop motions in the air.
"So I've noticed," said the man with a bit of amusement. "And what is an adorable girl such as yourself doing at a school designed to train warriors?"
They have schools for that? thought Issei.
"Well… I want to be a Huntress."
"You want to slay monsters?"
"Yeah. I only have two more years of training left at Signal! And then I'm going to apply to Beacon! You see, my sister's starting there this year, and she's trying to become a Huntress, and I'm trying to become a Huntress 'cause I wanna help people. My parents always taught us to help others, so I thought, 'Hey, I might as well make a career out of it!' I mean the police are alright, but Huntsman and Huntresses are just so much more romantic and exciting and really, gosh, you know!"
The two people just stared at Ruby for a bit and even Issei looked amused as Ruby got more excited as she talked. "Ok, I think that's enough sugar for you for one day," he said playfully, looking at the empty plate. Ruby blushed in embarrassment from Issei's comment.
The man again looked at Issei before returning to Ruby. "…Do you know who I am?"
"You're Professor Ozpin. You're the headmaster of Beacon," said Ruby.
Wait, what?! thought Issei, not expecting this.
[Plot twist,] thought Ddraig.
"Hello," he said in an amused tone.
"Nice to meet you."
"You want to come to my school?"
"More than anything."
Ozpin gave the woman a look who rolled her eyes but gave a grunt of acceptance. "Well okay."
Ruby looked excited to be seemingly accepted into Beacon so early. Issei looked happy for her. "Congrats Ruby," said Issei with a smile.
"Thanks Issei."
Ozpin looked at Issei now. "Now, as for you young man. We saw that you also fought off the thugs with young Ruby here. While we were able to look up Miss Rose's profile, we were unable to find yours."
This could be a problem, thought Issei. "Sorry, but I came from an isolated place, so it's no surprise that I'm probably not in any database," he tried to say convincingly.
Both of them looked at him with discerning eyes. Ruby jumped in to try and help. "He was kidnapped and brought here against his will!"
This got their attention as they looked at the pair. "… Explain…" asked Ozpin. Issei gave them the same explanation she gave Ruby before and the two listened intently. After he was done everyone was quiet for a moment. "That is… quite the story," said Ozpin finally.
"Look, I know it sounds ridiculous, and quite frankly if it didn't happen to me, I would think it was something a 7-year-old made up, but that's the truth. I have no idea where I am or how I got here, and I don't know how to get home."
The Huntress didn't buy it, but Ozpin stared at Issei for a while, as if to determine if he was lying or not. After a few minutes of awkward silence, he spoke. "Very well. I believe you."
The Huntress gave Ozpin an incredulous look while Issei and Ruby looked relieved. "Thank you, Professor," said Issei.
"So, what do you plan to do?" he asked.
"I don't know. I was trying to get a lay of the land, and Ruby was helping me out until those guys showed up."
"Do you have any living accommodations?"
"N-no…"
"Lien?"
"No…"
"Hmmmm…". Ozpin thought for a bit before making a suggestion. "Then how about you come to my school as well?"
Issei and Ruby looked surprised while the Huntress looked like she didn't approve. "Headmaster, is that truly a wise move? We don't know anything about this individual."
"Calm, Miss Goodwitch. I think it will be fine. After all, even considering his circumstances he jumped in to help stop a robbery when he could have just run. I think his intentions are good."
"You would let me join? I don't have any prior education in this area or any money to pay," asked Issei.
"I'm the headmaster. I can let in anyone I see fit if I think there is potential. And money isn't required to join, just the desire to protect others."
Issei gave off a wry smirk. "Well, I have that in spades."
Ozpin gave an approving nod. "Of course, we're going to need something to base your transcripts off of."
"I have my ID on me, if it will help," said Issei as he took out his wallet.
He opened it and handed over the card and while Ozpin looked at it, he couldn't read the language. "I'm sorry, but I haven't seen this language before. Where are you from again?"
"A remote village called Kuoh, sir."
Never heard of it, but if my suspicions about him are correct then it's not surprising, thought Ozpin. "I see. Well, if you'll come with us, we will help you get all the necessary equipment and papers needed to get around."
"That would be helpful, thanks."
Ozpin nodded and turned back to Ruby. "Miss Rose, you're free to go back home. I will send you the details about your transfer to your teachers and family later."
Ruby nodded excitedly and looked at Issei. "I guess this is goodbye…"
"Not goodbye, just see you later," said Issei with a smile. Ruby smiled back and nodded.
She left and the three were now alone. Ms. Goodwitch decided to ask Issei something. "If I may-" she started getting Issei's attention. "Earlier you saw my semblance and called it a magic circle. Why did you think it was magic?"
So it wasn't magic. That complicates things, thought Issei. "It's just what your semblance looked like based off stories I've seen back home," he lied.
He's not a very good liar, thought Miss Goodwitch. "Before, you were about to use an attack on the Bullhead but stopped yourself. Why?"
"Oh, that? I was planning to shoot down the, Bullhead is what you call that plane, but I didn't know if there were people below or not. There was always a chance it could have crashed into a building on the way down as well. My attack isn't exactly delicate, so I decided against firing it."
Miss Goodwitch was surprised. "I see… You were able to weigh the pros and cons even in the heat of battle. An admirable quality."
"I think this only goes to show that you truly have a will to protect others. I believe we will have no issues with you attending Beacon," said Ozpin. Issei smiled at him and the three left to go to Beacon.
(Beacon Academy)
Issei arrived at Beacon with Ozpin and Miss Goodwitch. He was awed by the size of the academy. Did I end up in Hogwarts or something? he thought to himself. "This place looks amazing. It must be as big as the manor back home."
Ozpin and Miss Goodwitch looked at each other before turning to Issei. "A manor as big as the academy? I don't think I've ever seen such a place outside of Atlas," said Ozpin.
Maybe I said too much, thought Issei. "It belongs to my fiancé's family. Despite me being a normal guy, I was given a chance by someone special," he said in a nostalgic tone.
"You're engaged?" said Miss Goodwitch, surprised.
"Yes I am. Although I don't think I'll be married anytime soon. Maybe in the next four years or so. Depends on how busy things get back home. Although I'll probably have to tack on whatever time I spend here until I find a way back."
"Don't worry young Issei. We'll make sure to help you find a way home. No doubt your fiancé is worried about you," said Ozpin.
"I'm sure she is, but I'm worried about her too. When I was taken, she tried to help me but one of the guys that grabbed me shot her through her leg. It still pisses me off when I think about it," said Issei as he gritted his teeth.
"That's unnerving to hear. I hope she will be ok," said Miss Goodwitch with great sympathy.
"I'm sure she's fine physically. We have one of the best healers back home. Her ability is strong enough to reattach severed limbs if the damage was recent enough."
"That… would be incredibly useful. Is that her semblance?" asked Ozpin.
"Yes. She isn't a fighter. She's a pure girl who wouldn't harm a fly and wants to help anyone and everyone, regardless of who they are. She is very forgiving as well and will give others a second chance, even if they have harmed her or people she cares about."
"How merciful, if not naive," said Miss Goodwitch.
"I agree, as do my friends, which is why we do our best to protect and guide her. I see her as family, and will protect her as such."
"You are very wise for someone so young. I can tell you've had many experiences that have shaped you into the person you are today," said Ozpin.
"Yeah, it's been a hell of a year for me, that's for sure," said Issei with a small chuckle.
Is he implying that all his experience has happened over the course of a year? thought Miss Goodwitch.
"Well, this has been an informative chat, but we are here," said Ozpin. While they were talking, they had made their way to an empty dorm room. "This will be your room for the next few days. Once the students arrive and everything is organized, we will assign you a proper dorm. I will handle getting all your paperwork done, as well as getting you a Scroll and some lien."
"Thanks Headmaster. I really appreciate this, truly," said Issei with a bow.
"Don't mention it. I just hope that your time here will be helpful and enlightening. If anything, it could help you find new ways to protect your home when you get back."
"That would be great. If I'm able to figure out a way home, maybe I can bring the others here. I think we could all benefit from a place like this."
Ozpin nodded with satisfaction and he and Miss Goodwitch left. After getting Issei settled in a room, Ozpin and Miss Goodwitch returned to the headmaster's office. Once there, Miss Goodwitch expressed her concern for the recent developments. "Sir, are you sure it's wise to trust him? He was obviously lying about his origins."
"I'm well aware, Glynda. While I'm not sure of his origin, I'm sure of his reason for being here," said Ozpin.
"You are?"
"Yes, although there are still some things to check first before I can be certain. For now, we see where things go, but we will keep an eye on him."
"If I may, where did you get this information from?"
"If I'm being honest, it's a dubious source, which is why I'm keeping things to myself for now. But tonight's events seem like no coincidence. Especially considering the perpetrator."
"Roman Torchwick…" said Glynda. "His activities as of late have been, disturbing, to say the least."
"Indeed. Dust robberies have been more common recently and he seems to be at the center of it." Ozpin folded his arms in front of him as he pondered his next move. "We need to find out what he plans to use it for, as well as train up our newest batch of Huntsman. I have a feeling things will be coming to a head soon." Glynda saw the look in his eyes and saw that something seemed to be coming. She nodded and prepared to help him with Issei's documents. Ozpin looked at the ID Issei handed him and went into thought. Let us hope, that you will change this world for the better, young Issei. Otherwise, you might share our fate.
Banged this chapter out because it was still eating up brain space and already started the next one for this. I'm still working on the other stories alongside this one but I needed to get this new story idea out of my head so I could think about those ones clearly. Anyways, as this story goes it won't be a one-for-one retelling of RWBY, mostly because I have issues with the plot after season 3, but just like with FotRD the changes come the further we get into the story. As for Myth0s and his crew, they will be watching and interfering as the story goes if they think things aren't changing enough, or to set up something else. But as to what those things will be and if they get the results that they want will be up in the air. I still want to know if people know who Myth0s' crew is. I'm sure some are obvious but others would probably be a mystery unless you're a fan of their show or franchise. This isn't all of them btw. Looking forward to the comments as always. : )
