Day 402, 8:45 AM

"Okay," ICU says slowly. "Almost done. Almost done with the next specimen." He grits his teeth as he focuses hard before him. "Almost..." Click. "Got it." He turns to his assistant. "Get me another bag, right now."

CPR steps forward and holds another bag of clear fluids up. ICU carefully picks up the kidney, drops it in the bag, and watches with interest as the organ sinks into the clear fluids like an egg dropping into a cup of water. "Man, this is the closest we'll ever get to movies nowadays."

ICU seals the bag. "You can say that again, man." He turns to the ice chest from earlier and places the bag inside. He grabs a piece of paper and writes down all the items inside: Eyes, lung, kidney, appendix, gallbladder, brain, and liver. Once the list is complete, he puts a blue ring-shaped sticker on the top of the ice chest before tucking it away under the table.

CRP grabs Reiko by the neck and takes a deep breath. His eyes drifted to her chest, which had been carved open with nothing but a scalpel and had most of her internal organs removed. Without skipping a beat, he activates her quirk and the once-dead girl's organs regenerate in their missing spots and she jolts awake.

"Perfect." He leans down. "What is your name, girl? What is your name, sweetie?"

She looks around, confused, and horrified. "Rei... Reiko. What is this? What happened?"

Do you know where you are? How old are you? What your blood type is?"

"H-hospital. 17. And I... B. B."

"Perfect. Listen, I need you awake for what we're about to do next, understand? We need you awake; don't fall asleep or it could be bad for us. Please, just stay awake."

"S-Shoda, where' Shoda."

"This is going to hurt, Reiko."

He digs into her body with the scalpel and begins removing her organs one by one.

With the Kamisquad

"Oh shit," Kaminari curses as he backs away. "Oh shit." He points to the trees. "Bloodhounds!"

A pack of zombie dogs of all breeds leaps from the trees and charges for the car graveyard, barking up a storm almost literally as they leap over the cars in single bounds. Kaminari leaps to the top of an SUV before vaulting over several cars to get to the top of the RV once again. Jirou runs inside the RV and locks herself in while Komori, Kuroiro, and Kenta come in through the other side, leaving Mineta outside.

Mineta squeezes himself in a gap between two cars just barely big enough to fit his small body and scoots as far back as possible. There was a large set of wheels belonging to a semi to his back so the only way to leave was to squeeze forward or climb up; neither of which he planned on doing anytime soon. Despite the dogs and their size, they're unable to fit through the gap and can only bark at him. One of them climbed onto the car and snapped its jowls at Mineta but the boy was just out of reach as he laid as far down on the ground as possible.

"Try and get me now, bitches," the pervert laughs. "Come on, go on and try and take a bite of this grape."

On the RV, Kaminari scoots closer to count the bloodhounds. "Huh, only four. I can work with that." He looks over to the dead cars in the car graveyard before he comes up with a plan.

The roof access hatch opens and Jirou pokes her head through. "Hey, Dunce Face, you good?"

"Absolutely. So, I got a pretty good idea to get those bloodhounds away from Mineta."

She kneels beside him. Those are bloodhounds? Those poor dogs. She looks over. "Hop in a car, jumpstart the car with your quirk, then drive the bloodhounds away. If we're lucky, we'll lose them along the way before they track us down." She looks at him. "Is that the plan you came up with?"

"Uh... Kinda but-"

"It's not a bad plan. But we're going to need your quirk to charge for longer than three seconds." She pulls a knife out of her backpack. "Looks like we're doing this the old-fashioned way. Get ready; I'll lead them this way."

Jirou scoots over the roof access and leaps inside. She explains her plan to the others. She bangs on the wall. "It's all on you, Jamming-Whey."

Kaminari activates his quirk by covering his body in electricity. The bloodhounds stop suddenly and turn towards him. He shuts off his quirk almost immediately after before slapping the RV wall. "Over here! Hey, come on, over here!"

The bloodhounds turn to him and growl. They sprint for him, ignoring Mineta completely. Kaminari crawls over to the roof hatch and waits. When the first bloodhound jumps to the top, he leaps down and yanks the down. The first bloodhound gets its head caught between the roof and the hatch and Kaminari pulls harder to make sure it doesn't move. "Knife!"

Kuroiro pulls out his knife and stabs the bloodhound through the eyes. He stabs it twice through the center of the skull before it goes limp. Kaminari opens the hatch slightly to get the next zombie dog caught in the same situation and repeat the process.

They managed to trap and kill the three zombies with ease but the fourth bloodhound wasn't going to fall for it easily. The bloodhound stands on the roof hatch and attempts to dig through it like it were dirt but Kaminari pushes it upward and sends the bloodhound flying over the edge of the RV.

The bloodhound falls to the ground, getting caught by purple balls left by Mineta.

Kuroiro quickly runs out of the RV and stabs the trapped dog in the skull before stomping on its head to finish the job.

When all is done, Kuroiro admires his work before wiping the blood off his clothes. "Well, that was fun."

Mineta frees himself from the gap and catches up with his friends. "I'm fine, by the way."

"We know," Komori nods, "don't worry, shroom."

Kuroiro laughs again. "Man, I've always wanted to do that to a dog."

Kaminari took a second to catch his breath as he was the one who asserted himself to keep the dogs pinned. "Sorry, but I can't say the same thing. The only thing I can say is poor doggies."

Jirou points forward. "Okay, can we get back to business? Let's just scavenge what we can and then be on our way."

"Right, right, right."

9:00 AM

CPR finishes the next set of removing Reiko's internal organs and bagging them in the ice chest. Once he finishes, he puts his hand on Reiko and activates her quirk again, causing all of her internal organs to regenerate in place once more. With the chest cavity still wide and open, he resists an urge to touch her beating heart and focuses on doing his surgeon's work.

"What is your name?" ICU demands again. "Can you tell me your name?"

Reiko's eyes wander around the room in fear. "What... where am I?"

"What is your name?"

"R-Reiko Yanagi."

"Do you know where you are?"

She looks around the room. "Hospital."

"And what is your blood type?"

"B." She looks down and spots her chest carved open and her innards exposed. The pain returns and she screams at the top of her lungs.

"It hurts, yes, but we have to do this." CPR disinfects the scalpel before drying it off completely. "Ready? This is going to hurt... a lot, I'm afraid."

"No," Reiko shakes her head. "Please, no. Stop, make it stop!"

"Don't worry, we're doctors; we know what we're doing. Now hold still; I don't want to sever an artery."

Thirty Minutes Later

CPR sighs with joy as he removes one of Reiko's lungs and carefully bags it once more. Just two more ice chests and they would fill their quota for the day. Like before, he carefully removes Reiko's skullcap and carefully removes her brain. Afterward, he proceeds to cut around her heart and remove it from her completely. Once they finally bag it, CPR uses his quirk again to regrow all of her orangs. "Okay, now... we're finally done. Now, time for her blood and tissue."

ICU bags Reiko's brain and heart in the ice chest before opening the second to last one. "How many pints? The usual?"

"Yep, the usual."

ICU steps forward. "You know, I've been saying this since day one but... why can't we draw blood at the same time as we extract the subject's organs?"

CPR laughs. "And my answer will forever be the same pal, because the heart is the one organ keeping humans alive. If we draw too much blood while removing organs, then we risk killing the subject. I can regenerate a person of their organs but blood is much more complex. We need their heart alive to keep pumping as much blood as possible and we need their organs receiving enough blood as possible."

"Can't we draw more than two pints of blood? There are at least ten pints of blood in the human body and if we draw as much as five pints of blood, the subject goes into hypovolemic shock. Otherwise known as... 'dying of blood loss'. If that happens, internal organs begin to shut down and we can't work with anything. We can only draw blood after we're done extracting the organs."

ICU checks his wristwatch. "We got two more hours."

"Ahead of schedule." He removes a needle from his kit and inserts it into the vein of Reiko's inner elbow. He does the same with her other arm. He begins drawing two pints of blood from the girl at the same time. "Our customers are going to be happy."

"Hey," ICU steps forward. "What do you think of this? Pretty?"

CPR looks at the girl. "Eh, she's alright. Not a looker but... I'll take what I can get I guess."

"When she's dead... you want to... you know..."

"That better be a joke; I have standards man."

"Yeah."

They finish drawing the pints of blood. CPR carefully removes the needles and the pouches of blood. ICU takes them and carefully sets them down in the ice chest. He seals it tight before adding another sticker to them before writing 'B Blood' on the top.

He turns back. "Hey, what if our customers demand AB blood or something?"

CPR laughs. "AB blood is rare; less common than O or A and B blood. Most of the people I know have O blood type. I have O blood type, the same as you. Besides, with the way the world is, getting access to someone with AB blood isn't an option. Well, a relatively... easy option. If ya know what I mean."

"Half the world is dead and most of the people still alive have O blood type."

"Beggers can't be choosers. We got what we got and now, it's time to get back to work." He turns back to Reiko. "Now then, what shall we do next with you." He cocks his head. "Okay, time to draw her bone marrow and spinal fluids."

"Roger that."

Despite her dizziness, Reiko manages to look to her right to see the ice chests under the table of medical instruments. Realizing what was going on with her chest cavity still wide as an oven, she decided that now was the time to do something.

Please, make it end. Make it end.

If this was how she was going to go, she wasn't going to go down without a fight.

Lifting her dazed and shaking hand up, she activates her quirk. Let's hope there's a pack of zombies nearby.

She uses her Poltergeist quirk on a bone saw. When the two doctors are distracted, she forces herself to stay focused as she prepares her next move. She sends the bone saw flying towards her and drives it deep into the side of her neck, cutting her jugular. She pours blood like a fountain while the two doctors exclaim in horror. Coughing and gurgling up blood, she sends the bone saw to the other two doctors. She slices CPR across the cheek and severs his nose while the other doctor takes the full force of the bone saw through his right eye. Both doctors scream in agony while Reiko slowly passes away.

As she passes away, her quirk gives out and she is no longer able to levitate the bonesaw, therefore, leaving it trapped in ICU's eye socket. With the light at the end of the tunnel getting brighter with every passing second, she lifts her hand up and gives both doctors the middle finger before she passes away.

With Kaminari

"How long do you reckon before we're there?" Jirou asks suddenly.

Kurorio does a few calculations in his head. "Uh, maybe around sunset or so."

"Ahh, man," the electric boy groans. "Seriously."

"Hey, we'll be fine," Mineta assures them. "Once we get your bike back, we can head to Mister Donuts, right?"

Kenta coughs to get their attention. "Oh, and by the way, I have to ask: if these people who stole Kaminari's bike don't give up any of their cars, how are we going to get back? Turn into a bird and fly back?"

Kaminari laughs. "Nah, man, none of us have the quirks for that. But... I could take you guys back one at a time. Or, two at a time. I mean, I could probably fit both Komori and Mineta on the back of my bike if they're huddled together and not taking up too much room. I would have to ride carefully but I could manage."

"And then you would come back for me, Jirou, and Kuroiro last, right?"

Kaminari ponders for a moment. "Well, yeah. I mean, I could carry three of you in theory. If I'm riding with Mineta and Komori in the back and Kuroiro uses his quirk to merge with my jacket, then maybe I can get three of you back. Then, I'll come back for Jirou first and then you, man."

"Using our quirk isn't an option if we don't want any nearby beasts to hunt us done," Mineta points out. "So, Kuroiro's quirk isn't an option."

"We'll figure it out," Jirou claims. "Besides, if they have a vehicle, we'll negotiate for one to get back."

"Yeah, we'll just walk right up to them and say, 'Hey, we may not have much in this post-apocalyptic world but here's a pack of gum for your car, thank you very much.'"

10:30 AM, Emergency Center

CC steps forward and glares at CPR and ICU with disgust. "I can't believe this. I can't fucking believe this. You let some little bitch get the best of you? She was the first body we found in a week and you let her kill herself before you got what you needed?"

CPR looks over with his face bandaged. "We got most of her internal organs and we got two packs of blood. We just need to extract some tissue, bone marrow, spinal fluids, and other internal fluids."

"I already called one of our customers on the radio and they're demanding a full package, that includes everything you just listed. Do you know what they're going to do to us if we don't give them a full package? They're going to use us for their experiments. Yes, they're going to use medical instruments on us and extract our bodily pieces. I don't know about you but do you want to end up on some lab table, being cut into?"

"No sir. But... she caught us off guard. I swear, she-"

"Silence." He holds a hand up. "I don't care anymore. Listen, I'm going to get my customer on the line, and then... I'm going to explain to him why we don't have the tissue, spinal fluid, and bone marrow as promised." He pauses before looking at ICU. "I gotta say, buddy, you're starting to look better with your right eye gone."

ICU flips him as he adjusts his eye patch. "Fuck you."

"Not even in your wildest dreams, asshole." CC steps back and exits the medical room.

CPR steps towards Reiko's corpse and carefully places a tarp over her.

"What now?" ICU demands.

"Incinerate the body, leave no trace. Tomorrow morning; that's when I can get the incinerator up and running."

"You know, we can sell her body." ICU smiles. "Remember our cannibal clients? They'll pay us handsomely for a nice, juicy corpse."

"Nah, those guys prefer living humans so Miss Yanagi isn't going to... 'cut it'."

"What if we tell her that it is the body of one Reiko Yanagai, a girl from Class 1-B at UA?"

"I don't think they're going to care about it. Like I've said, they want their food alive so the meat isn't dead and decomposing when they cook it. The same goes for our clients; they're not going to care about the person the organs came from, only about their function."

He shrugs. "Whatever." He grabs the tarp and pulls it off, revealing Reiko's pale face. "You know, since she's dead, we can still..."

"I told you, freak, I have standards. You fucking pervert." He removes his latex gloves before cleaning his surgical tools. "Package and take inventory of all the organs. If we get the go-ahead, then we're going to need to be ready as soon as possible."

With CC

Stepping into the radio room where Xanax is already on one of the radios, talking to someone, CC heads to the other radio and turns the dial until he finds the right broadcasting station. He sighs deeply and clenches his knuckles to calm down before he finally finds the strength to speak into the mic.

"Station 1, Station 1, is the LC Paramedics, do you copy, over?"

Xanac removes his headphones. "They're on the horn; I'm talking to one of them right now. Just... be patient."

"Don't tell me what to do, buddy." He turns back to the radio. "Station 1, come in."

"LF, this is Station 1, I read you loud and clear. So, I take it you got good news, am I right? Have you found some new organs for us?"

CC licks his lips. "There's kinda been a problem."

"What problem would that be?"

"Well, one of the human subjects we retrieved, we managed to harvest most of her organs while producing more but... she died before we could get a full package. We don't have any living tissue samples of her. Or bone marrow, or spinal fluid."

"Goddamn it, idiot, we want a full package. We need every part of the human body for these experiments, don't you understand?"

"You'll still get your organs, just as we promised, but... it was out of our hands. We had her tied down, everything, and she killed herself. Please understand that she committed suicide."

"You stupid ugly bastard, where do you get off in excusing yourself for such unacceptable acts? You don't fucking mess with the -"

"Hey, calm down," a new voice finds its way on the line. "The guy said he got most of the organs harvested so we can cut him some slack." This new voice takes over. "Listen, CC, I'm sorry for my subordinates; he gets a little zealous when talking to outsiders."

CC sighs heavily with relief. "Man, finally, someone with some decent. So, we're totally cool with being a quarter empty with your request?"

"I'd prefer to think of it as three-quarters full but different strokes for different folks I guess. And I'm willing to forgive this... sleigh of disrespectful hand if you at least agree to meet up at the usual rendezvous point."

"Thank you, sir. Listen, you won't regret this. But... we'll payment be there by the time we arrive?"

"Absolutely. You'll have your food, supplies, medicine, and equipment at the usual spot. I'll let this... incomplete order slide just for now but the next time I ask for a full package, you will deliver. Or else, you're one of my experiments."

CC shivers. "Right. Right."

"I'll see you tomorrow at seven o'clock in the morning. Or rather, I'll see my order at seven o'clock in the morning tomorrow."

CC nods. "Yes, and I'll see my supplies there as well."

CC thinks back to when he first met his customer and how scary he was, especially with his quirk. He vowed not to cross this guy but at the same time, this guy and his organization of survivors had things his small group desperately needed so now was not the time to be picking and choosing what to do. Now, was the time to accept friends for what they were.

CC turns to Xanax. "What's the damage?"

Xanax looks at him. "We're fucked in this ass in this one, sir. The... next several intersections are filled to the brim with zombie hordes. I'm sorry, but we don't have the time or resources to get through them. And we don't have the proper vehicles to traverse through the forest. Unless we use the dirt bike but then again, we can only carry so much of that equipment on the back at any time."

CC stands up. "So, what are you suggesting?"

"Maybe, we should wait at least two days until the -"

PUNCH!

He falls to the ground.

"Fuck you, bitch. Our client wants his package delivered like Amazon and your fucking plan is to wait two fucking days? You fucking dick; he was in a good enough mood to cut some slack but who knows how long that will fucking last for! We need to get him his order right on time and that is final."

"But the hordes! They'll kill us if we go out there; we'll fucking die!"

"We'll figure it out. One way or another, we're delivering those organs to our client. We will get our share of supplies and we will not end up as human experiments." He kicks him in the kidney. "Under-fucking-stand?"

Xanax groans before pulling himself away. "Fuck. Yes, okay, stop! I'm sorry."

"You better be." He leans on the table. "We'll figure it out, we'll figure it out. We'll... we'll... leave by nighttime when we're less visible. Yes, we'll be less visible."

5:05 PM

"Guys," Kuroiro's eyes brightened suddenly upon noticing something in the distance. "Look, a building." He quickly urges the others to take cover behind a tree to get a better look at the place.

Kuroiro peeks over and smiles. "Yes, it's the emergency medical center. Yes, I knew it. Guys, we've arrived."

"Hold on." Jirou takes out a pair of binoculars from her bag and uses them to get a good look. "Holy shit, you're right."

The emergency medical center was barricaded by a gate with several cars surrounding it and each car had spears stuck to the front to keep out any zombies. Jirou puts the binoculars away and looks up. "The sun is almost down. We'll sneak in, take Kaminari's bike back, and then be on our way."

CLICK!

The familiar sound of a gun cocking makes all teenagers freeze in place and they turn to meet the person now holding them at gunpoint. They raise their hands higher above their head to show they mean no harm and glare at the man with the... AK-47?

It's you, Kaminari internally snarls, the punk who stole my bike.

"What do we have here?" Cardiac laughs as he lowers the gun. "It's you. You... you followed me all the way out here?" He laughs again as he shoulders his weapon. "Man, you really are heroes because the six of you showed up at a time when we desperately needed you."
