Remaining Players: Lin, Lucille, Ilyria, Byron, Brittany, Dante, Lila, Tracy, Brad, Dianne, Matthew, and Tatiana
"Last time on Total Drama Canadian Travels," Chris would begin the famous recap. "The contestants had to survive a virtual reality escape room; which involved several hard clues. Tensions rose on the Owls after Matthew snapped at some of his team members due to them eliminating his sister, poor dude, but I don't care," Chris shrugged.
"Hey, stop it, Chris," Alexis glared. "Matthew's a really sweet guy!"
"Well, when will you hook up with him?" Chris taunted.
"No comment," Alexis blushed. "In the end, the Owls won; and my uncle got to choose one of the Raccoons to eliminate; and he chose to eliminate David."
"We're now down to 12, and we've hit the merge, yada-yada-yada," Chef rolled his eyes. "Who'll be the next loser?"
"Find out, on this episode of…Total! Drama! CANADIAN TRAVELS!" Chris announced gleefully.
Dear Mom and Dad I'm doing fine,
You guys are on my mind.
You asked me what I wanted to be
and now I think the answer is plain to see,
I wanna be famous.
I wanna live close to the sun,
Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won,
Everything to prove, nothing in my way
I'll get there one day.
Cause, I wanna be famous!
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na! (as can be heard in the background)
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
(Whistling in tune)
Episode 17: The Terribly Tubular Tower of Terra-r
Lucille
'It's the first day of the merge. My second time being here. Here's hoping I don't go out too early.' the young woman thought to herself as she glanced out the window of her hotel room. 'Knowing Chris, he will make it crazy, that's for sure.'
Lin
'Halfway through the contest again.' The short spy thought to herself as she lay in her bed. 'Except this time the lines in the sand are better defined. I'm in a trickier spot this time around. Lucille and Brittany want me to team up with them but I would prefer to be with Brad and the others. Is it worth putting a target on my back for him?'
Dante
Dante smiled to himself as he sat up with a stretch. 'Alright.' He thought to himself. 'Merge day! Things seem to be going pretty well though! Maybe this won't be so bad!'
Brittany
The mob boss hummed to herself as she sat on her bed. 'Lin's acting very…suspicious. It's odd how she keeps hanging around that Brad guy. But I don't want to play the villain role. Not unless I really have to do so. But now, it's time. I can't let anything stop me.'
Lila
The soft-spoken redhead sat by the window of her hotel room and looked out at the city with an unreadable expression on her face. With a silent sigh, she reached into her pocket and brought out her golden locket, opening it and looking at the picture in it before smiling to herself with what seemed to be a hint of a newfound resolve within her.
Tracy
The country girl finished getting herself ready for the day and stretched before looking out towards the city. 'Alright, this is it!' She thought. 'The halfway point! So this means I can't really rely on my old teammates anymore. But that doesn't mean I can't help them if I need to. I guess I should just keep playing the game as I have been.'
Brad
The hat-wearing boy ran a hand through his hair before putting his signature baseball cap back on his head and letting out a sigh. 'Halfway done. Twelve down and eight more to go until it'll be me and the three other people I choose to associate with in this game at this moment. Tracy's nice and all, but she's not officially a part of my alliance, and she's a potential threat. The same goes for Dante, though I haven't talked to him much, if at all, since the game started. Matthew and Byron aren't threats but the former will likely try to get rid of us the first chance he gets… It's too early for planning, I should at least get some breakfast first…'
Tatiana
The tall girl closed the book she had been reading before heading down to the dining room for breakfast. 'This is where things begin to get complicated. So much more risk involved and factors to consider. I'm sure Brad is racking his brain about this as well. First things first though, find those idols.'
Matthew
The young male would be sitting on his bed, as he read a book about Minecraft. He was happy to have made it to the merge, while a bit disappointed that his sister wasn't with him.
Byron
The man would clean his glasses, and put them on. 'Can't believe I made it this far. Now, I hope I can make it to the end.'
Ilyria
The young woman would be brushing her hair, putting it into its signature bun. 'Second time here. Now, let's make sure to win this game.'
Dianne
'I can't believe I'm here at the merge! I thought I would be a goner in the first few episodes, but I guess I was wrong. I really hope to win, and make my brother, and family proud.'
Dining Hall (All)
Alexis would have prepared a full breakfast, which included eggs, toast, bacon, croissants, pancakes, waffles, crepes, sausages, home fries, oatmeal, various fruits, along with cereal.
"Enjoy, everyone!" Alexis chirped. "I hope that you eat a lot, Chris has got something wild in store for you for the first merge challenge!"
"Maybe a bit too wild…" Charlene sighed.
"You sure we won't regret this later on?" Jimmy asked.
"I guess you won't," Alexis grinned. "Besides, I need a few of you to taste test some new hot sauce
"Yeah, that's gonna be a bit NO from us, sweetheart." Roderick chuckled. "We all know about what that Mississippi Queen sauce did to Johan."
"Hey, I'll try it." Charlene shrugged. "I live for spicy food."
"This is made with the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion, originating from the district of Moruga in Trinidad and Tobago. Its intense heat measures from 1.2 to 2 million Scoville Heat Units." She would pass a spoon to Charlene, before glaring at Roderick. "And DON'T call me sweetheart, or I'll twist your arm so painfully, you'll be calling for your mama."
"I call everyone sweetheart." Roderick shrugged with a smirk as Charlene eagerly took the utensil and tried the sample. "Mostly when I'm trying to bug them."
The pink-haired girl's somewhat excited grin quickly faded into disappointment as she looked at the chef.
"Not spicy enough." She said with a shrug. "I mean it's definitely spicy, sure, but it doesn't have that internal burn that nicotine gives me."
"Well, looks like I'll have to add a few more hot peppers then," Alexis smirked. "Probably the Ghost Pepper, the Komodo Dragon, Pepper X…"
"How…spicy are you planning to make it?" Matthew asked.
"Insanely spicy," the chef smirked.
"If you can manage to make it spicy enough to where Charlie here will prefer burning her stomach to burning her lungs, I think her sister will really appreciate it." Kevin chuckled.
"Hey, I know you're joking, but let's actually try that." Roderick raised an eyebrow. "Getting Charlene to quit smoking, I mean."
"Smoking's bad for you," Brittany said. "I don't do it, but my father did it, not everyday, of course. He did enjoy a good cigar every once in a while."
"I doubt you guys would ever get me to kick the habit, but you're more than welcome to try." Charlene remarked with a bit of a laugh.
"Interns! Report to me, ASAP! MCLEAN OUT!" Chris announced over the loudspeaker.
"Well, I've got to clean up the kitchen," Alexis said. "See ya." She would head into the kitchen to clean up, with the rest of the interns following her to help. Surprisingly, Chris and Chef were both waiting for them inside.
"Chris, you have 5 seconds to get out of my kitchen." Alexis growled.
"I'm more concerned as to why a kitchen has a connection to the intercom system in the first place." Chef commented.
"Regardless." Chris replied. "I figured this would be the fastest way to get to all of you. We need to talk about today's challenge."
"Oh, great," Alexis sighed. "Can I at least get to cleaning the kitchen?"
"Sure, sure. I'm just feeling… I don't know, anxious about it, that's all."
"Oh? The great Chris McLean, Captain Charisma, is feeling anxious about something?" Charlene remarked.
"Hey, you'd be worried, too, if you knew what this challenge involved!" Chris snapped.
"Let me guess…is it Terra?" Alexis groaned, as she cleaned a pot.
"Yeah… She'll be in charge of the challenge and I'm freaking out over the potential costs of it all, not to mention potential lawsuits and fines and-"
"Chill, she seems quirky, not stupid." Kevin stated.
"Uh…did you not watch last season? How she ended up being the first boot?" Alexis deadpanned.
"Yeah, but she flat out told us the reason for that. Plus anyone who's paid attention to what she says will know that she's only acting crazy… For better or worse, honestly." The jock shrugged.
"I get what you mean though." Jimmy piped up. "Even if she's only acting crazy, she's good at it, and if she puts some of that insanity into the challenge, things could get, well, crazy!"
"Tell me about it," Alexis groaned. "Thank god she didn't choose to compete for 2 million dollars."
"So what's she doing right now?" Roderick asked.
"I just told her where the challenge would take place and that it would be her job setting everything up. Right after I sent her that email I immediately began regretting it."
"Oh boy," Alexis sighed, as she kept cleaning the dishes.
"Well, too late now." Chef shrugged. "Plus, even if it ends up going sideways, I'd be lyin' if I said I ain't curious to see what that crazy girl could come up with!"
"She said she'll message us when it's finished, so…" Chris let out. "We wait."
"Here's hoping no one will get injured," Alexis begged.
"It's Terra. She might have people get hurt," Chris sighed, annoyed. Almost as if on cue, Chris's phone buzzed in his pocket. Curiously, the host brought it out and read the text he had received.
'It's done! :P ~Terra'
"Okay, let's gather the group," Chris said, before getting on the loudspeaker. "Attention, campers! The challenge is ready! Please report outside immediately! McLean out!"
"Well, here we go," Brittany stood up. "What do you think Chris has set up for us?"
"Who knows." Dante replied, finishing the last of his breakfast. "You know that with Chris you can't expect anything."
"I'm a little nervous," Lucille let out. "It's probably gonna be crazy."
"Don't be worried, Lucille, you've got this," Ilyria let out.
"Thanks, Ilyria," Lucille gave a shy smile towards the spy.
"Well, we'd better not keep the man waiting," Matthew let out. "Let's go."
The group began to make their way over to the challenge, with Chris leading them all to the entrance of a multi-story building that looked rather plain from the outside. Chef was the only one who entered and he quickly walked out holding a mini radio.
"Alright." Chris began, letting out a sigh. "Welcome to today's challenge."
"This is it?" Ilyria deadpanned. "Well, can't say I'm too shocked."
"Oh you'll soon regret those words." Chris rolled his eyes. "But what I can guarantee will surprise you is that I'm not the one in charge of today's challenge."
"You aren't?" Brittany raised an eyebrow.
"No. I'm not. Instead that honor belongs to…"
"Me!" Terra called out from Chef's radio. "Hullabaloo and howdy-do!"
"TERRA?!" the Hawaiian Resort alumni shouted together.
"Terra?" The newer contestants asked.
"Me!" The clown repeated. "I am in control now! Bow down to my awesome might and tremble! … TREMBLE!"
"Yeah, no," Brittany smirked. "Let's just get this over with." She cracked her knuckles together.
"I'd say you're no fun, but the fun has yet to begin!" Terra giggled. "Welcome to The Terribly Tubular Tower of Terra-r! Inside you will find five floors of fun! Make your way to me on the sixth floor and you win!"
"Terra-r?" Tatiana asked.
"Yes! I was going to say 'terror' but it's a pun on my name. Because, you know, terror, Terra, tomato to-mah-to…"
"Yeah, we get it…" Brad sighed with a shake of his head.
"So…do we all go in together…or?" Dianne asked.
"Yes, you all go in together…" Terra replied, though nobody could actually see her, she nodded fervently in affirmation. "As in NOW! RIGHT NOW! GO GO GO!"
With that, Brittany and Lucille took off inside the tower with the rest of the cast close behind them. The twelve contestants entered the building to see what appeared to be a game show stage with doors blocking the way to the stairwell.
"Welcome to the first floor!" Terra announced. "Answer the question correctly and you get to advance! Now who's up first?"
"I'll go," Matthew stepped forward.
"Okay, Mikey, here's your question…"
Matthew's eyebrow twitched in annoyance at his name being pronounced wrong.
"His name is Matthew…" Lila corrected.
"His name is whatever I say it is!" Terra proclaimed. "This is my domain! And you shall cower before my might! … Anyway, here's the question: Banana?"
"Banana what?" Matthew deadpanned.
"Ohh, no, I'm sorry. The answer was Nixon, Richard Nixon. Next!"
"Wait, what? That doesn't make any sense!" Matthew protested.
"It's Terra, she's insane," Ilyria rolled her eyes.
Brittany stepped forward. "Get my name wrong, and I'll beat you up," she threatened.
"Fine, be that way Bri-Bri. But you won't get in life with that attitude, not unless you eat your vegetables like a good little girl!" Terra huffed.
"DON'T CALL ME BRI-BRI!" the mob boss roared angrily.
"Well, she scares me," Dianne shivered.
"They both scare me…" Tracy nodded.
"The question!" Terra announced. "What's my middle name?!"
"You don't have one," Brittany deadpanned.
"Wrong! My middle name is Genevieve! NEXT!"
"Is that actually your middle name?" Lila asked.
"It is, actually! Cross my heart!" The clown replied.
"Oh boy," Lucille sighed.
Dianne stepped forward next.
"Alright, next question: Did she, in fact, see the skater boy later?"
"Um…yes?" Dianne was confused.
"Is that your final answer?"
"These questions don't make sense!" Dianne let out, annoyed. "But yes, that's my final answer."
"Are you sure? It makes total sense to me."
"It's my final answer," Dianne said.
"Alright…" Terra replied. The group all waited in silence until a bell's ding emanated throughout the speakers and the door unlocked. "Correct!"
"What…" Brad replied, almost feeling like a part of his brain just died.
"I just took a random guess," Dianne let out as she passed through the door and began going up the stairs.
"NEXT!" Terra boomed.
"Alright, I'll play your little game." Brad sighed. "What insane question do you have for me?"
"Well, I do know that you consider yourself to be an intellectual, so I'll give you a tough one…"
"Tough?" Brittany scoffed. "Yeah, right."
"Do millipedes have many legs?" Terra asked.
"Eh? Obviously they do." Brad huffed. "What about this question is tough?"
"No, no, no! You've gotta think of it from the point of view of a millipede, man! He doesn't think he has many legs! He just thinks you have too few legs! Ever think of that? NEXT!"
"Dante?" Brittany glanced at the tall boy, who looked uneasy as he stepped forward.
"Okay, here's the question: The Owl and The Panther shared a pie. Yes or no?"
"...HUH?!" Dante called out in complete bewilderment. From where the others stood, Tatiana exhaled sharply and watched on with a bit of a determined look.
"Do you have an answer?"
"Uh, no?" Dante replied. "That's my answer."
"Ugh, really?" Terra groaned. "Where were you in the earlier half of the twentieth century, man?! Where WERE you?!"
"Not alive, that's for sure," Ilyria deadpanned.
"They did share a pie." Tatiana sighed. "I'm surprised Terra would ask this sort of question, let alone knowing about twentieth century literature, but her question was a reference to a poem called 'Tis the Voice of the Lobster'."
"How'd you know that?" Tracy asked in awe.
"I read a lot." The taller girl shrugged.
"You must have had your nose in a book ever since you could walk, right?" Brittany scoffed.
"And it would have gotten me ahead of you in this challenge."
"Look, if it keeps you two from fighting, I'll just go next." Tracy sighed.
"Ohh, eager!" Terra remarked. "Alright here we go: Los rapes son capaces de montar en bicicleta?"
"I'm sorry, what?" Tracy asked. "Was that English?!"
"I think it was Spanish," Lucille said. "God, if only Miguel was here…he'd be able to translate."
"I don't speak Spanish…" Tracy whined.
"Well, if it makes you feel any better. Brittany and I couldn't exactly understand it either, and Italian and Spanish aren't actually all that different from each other."
"That doesn't help at all!" Tracy whined again.
"It's a yes or no question!" Terra called out.
"Uh… yes?"
"Ugh, no! ¡No pueden, son rapes!" Terra groaned.
"What does that even mean?!" Brad asked.
"I asked if angler fish could ride bikes!" The clown explained. The room remained in silence for a moment.
"Lin, I'm going to smack her upside the head when we get to her." Brad said flatly.
"Please don't." Lin replied.
"I'd pay good money to see that," Brittany smirked.
"NEXT QUESTION FOR WHOEVER IS READY!" The clown called out.
"Oh, bloody hell," Ilyria stepped forward.
"Ah, so my coworker and Lin's apparent best friend takes the stage! Well, Ilyria, here's your question: Yet again, I give you a stupid question?"
Ilyria blinked. "Seriously?"
"Seriously." Terra affirmed.
"It's not stupid," Ilyria deadpanned.
"Are… Are you sure?" Terra replied. From her office, she watched on from security cameras and blinked with the same deadpan expression Ilyria had.
"I am," Ilyria replied.
Terra slowly leaned into the microphone of the intercom, her eyes locked onto the security feed…
"COLORS ARE EVERYTHING!" Terra smiled before pressing a button on a control panel she had. Instantly, the room the cast were standing in burst into an array of different colors ranging from simple ones like yellow and blue to polka dotted patterns to various styles of stripes. "Also your answer is wrong. These are totally stupid."
"I am about to fu*king lose it…" Tatiana sighed.
"So am I," Brittany muttered. "È una vera seccatura."
"Lin, you know Terra better than any of us. Do you think you'd be able to figure any of this out?" Brad asked.
"Who even knows." Lin sighed as she stepped up while Ilyria looked like her brain was about to explode. "But I'll try."
"Well, Lin Lin, looks like it's your turn!"
"Terra, I don't think the others can handle much more of this…"
"Aww, but we're having so much fun! Anyway, here's your question: What is 2 plus 3?"
"She's kidding…" Dante commented.
"That's so fu*king easy," Brittany grumbled.
"Five…" Lin answered, a gobsmacked look on her face as a bell dinged again and the door opened.
"Correct!" Terra announced.
"Oh no, f*ck this! I am not dealing with this for another second!" Brad cursed as he ran for the stairs.
"W-Wait! Brad, th-that's cheating!" Lila called out. Lin, Tatiana and Lila all followed Brad into the stairwell while Terra remained silent.
"Uh, Terra, are you not gonna stop them?!" Dante asked.
"Why?" Terra replied. "I never said you all needed to get an answer right. You could have followed Dianne after she answered."
The rest of the teens remained completely silent before they all charged at the stairs.
SECOND FLOOR
Dianne would be waiting. "Huh, I figured you would follow me up here."
"We didn't know we could." Tracy shrugged.
"Oh well," Dianne let out. "I wonder what's next."
Reluctantly, the contestants entered the second floor, which appeared to be a maze consisting of various objects ranging from giant bowling pins, plastic flamingos, mirrors, and rubber chickens.
"Took you all long enough to get here." Terra huffed. "Welcome to the second floor: flamingos, parachutes, spitoons!"
"What does any of that mean?" Tatiana asked.
"No idea!" The clown laughed. "I'm kinda just having fun here. Anyway, just get through to the other side of the floor and you're set."
"Who wants to go first?" Dianne looked at the others.
"Are we supposed to take turns with something like this?" Lila asked curiously.
"Eh, not really." Terra replied. "You all can go at once."
"Well, suit yourself," Matthew let out, as he began to run the maze. The rest of the cast soon followed after him.
"Oh! Before I forget!" Terra called out. "Some of the obstacles in the maze move so be careful about getting-"
WHACK!
"-Hit…"
"Gee, thanks for the heads up!" Dante groaned.
"Bloody hell," Ilyria grumbled. "That hurt."
"Hey, can we talk?" Brittany whispered.
"What?" Ilyria glanced over at the mob boss and the violinist.
"You still don't know what's up with Lin and Brad, right?" Lucille asked.
"Nope," Ilyria replied.
"We think they might be dating."
"Good for them. If he treats her right, then I have no need to get involved," Ilyria said.
"You're not upset?" Brittany asked.
"Why would I be?"
"You don't find it odd?"
"No, I don't. Now, can we focus on the challenge?"
"Fine," both girls sighed. The three would soon see the door.
"There's the door!" Lucille said softly.
"Good eye," Ilyria smiled. As the three girls hurried over to the door, they froze upon seeing Brad, Tatiana and Lila reach it at the exact same time.
"Oh, bloody hell," Ilyria groaned.
"Took the words right out of my mouth." Tatiana said flatly.
"Guys, let's just calm down," Lucille let out, holding up her hands. "Please."
"Yes, surely there's no reason to start an argument, right?" Lila added.
"I suppose," Brittany growled, glaring at the three redheads.
"Is that it? Is that the door?" A voice rang out from behind a giant pin, revealing themselves to be Tracy, who sighed in relief upon seeing the others while she looked a bit battered. "Oh thank goodness…"
"Are…you okay?" Lucille asked quietly.
"I have been smacked by a plastic flamingo in a building being run by a clown. I think I'm far from 'okay'."
"It's Terra. She's crazy," Brittany let out. "Thank GOD she was the first boot last season."
"Um, you forgot that I was on the same team with that bloody clown," Ilyria deadpanned.
"I don't think Lin would be too happy with you two saying that about her best friend." Brad commented.
"Come on, guys, enough!" Lucille snapped. "Let's just get to the next floor!" With that, she would storm up the steps.
Ilyria was shocked hearing those words from Lucille. "Wow."
"Hmm, who knew she could actually show some backbone." Tatiana commented.
"I guess she's trying her hardest to make it further, considering how last season, she was sabotaged," Brittany smirked. "By that stupid Russian criminal."
"He was bloody insane," Ilyria let out.
"But let's go to the third floor," Brittany said, following Lucille up the stairs.
THIRD FLOOR (Ilyria, Brad, Tracy, Brittany, Lucille, Tatiana, and Lila)
Upon arriving at the third floor, the seven contestants looked around at the design and obstacles within the room itself. There appeared to be what looked like several cannons and machine guns hooked up to giant vats of unidentifiable liquids.
"We're doomed, right?" Brittany deadpanned.
"I think we are," Lucille shivered.
"Hi guys! Welcome to the third floor; applesauce, whale blubber, nickels!"
"We keep saying this, but WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!" Brad growled.
"It means nothing and everything at once!" Terra exclaimed. "This one is another 'get to the end' type of room, but as you can probably tell, you're going to have to deal with my little friends!"
"Here we go…" Ilyria sighed.
"Oh yeah, Ilyria, I know you're probably used to stuff like this, so I set these machines to go after you a little bit more than the others."
Ilyria's eyes twitched at this. "Bloody fantastic."
"Do you expect her to be happy about this?" Lin asked as she entered the room.
"Hi, Lin Lin! No, I don't expect her to be happy, I expect her, and the others, to cry!"
"Let's just get this over with."
"Okey-dokey, Smokey!" Terra cheered, pressing a button on a remote she was holding which activated all of the turrets. Almost immediately, they began firing various fluids at the teens ranging from what appeared to be applesauce to glue to mashed potatoes and paintballs.
Ilyria would thankfully take out her electric whip to turn it on, spinning it super fast like a shield. "Get behind me!"
"Boo." Terra groaned. "Using gadgets like that is cheating! Guess I'll just have to take care of that."
"Not this time! You still owe me from last time," Ilyria growled.
"Did you not get the package I sent you?"
"No," Ilyria replied.
"Well that explains why you think I didn't pay you back. Anyway…"
A hatch opened up on the ceiling of the room, allowing what appeared to be a radar dish to extend out of it. The tip of the dish began to flash white for a few moments before an electrical surge blasted out of it, shutting off Ilyria's whip.
"BLOODY HELL!" Ilyria roared in anger.
"Aren't EMP's great?" Terra asked. "I wanted to have the boss miniature ones into your arsenal but noooo! He said it was 'too risky'!"
Ilyria rolled her eyes, putting her whip away. "Whatever."
"Relax." Lin said. "The effects of the EMP only last a couple of hours."
"Why do you even have spy gadgets like that anyway?" Brad added. "Those are definitely an unfair advantage you have."
"A spy's gotta be prepared for anything," Ilyria said. "I actually even have laser lipstick, and a Net Throwing Extendable Rod Mascara."
"Wow," Lucille let out. "That's a mouthful."
"It is," Ilyria nodded. "But we manage."
"Let's just move on already," Lucille sighed.
"Getting a little testy now, are we?" Tatiana noted.
"I just want to get this challenge over with," the violinist replied simply.
"Well, if you want to get it over with, you'll need to keep moving!" Tracy called out, dodging a blast of paintballs.
Lucille would dodge some applesauce being flung at her. While Ilyria and Lin swiftly dodged a glob of glue. Strangely, Lila seemed to just casually walk right past a lot of the obstacles as if they weren't aiming for her at all.
"Can't you aim for 'Little Miss Perfect?" Brittany growled.
"I am trying, Brittany!" Terra replied. "But you all keep moving and these turrets are all designed to aim for whoever's moving the fastest! Not to mention this is all being live streamed online! Plus I just got a donation from someone named 'Fried_Water' and I'm trying to wrap my head around that name and-"
"YOU'RE LIVE STREAMING THIS?! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Lucille screamed in anger.
"IS THAT A PROBLEM?!" The clown shouted back. "I'M the one in charge here and I'M not the one who's getting all angsty right now and furthermore fur-ther-more, I'm not the one in an alliance that's mid! I mean, seriously, how did you and Brittany decide to team up and make mid?! I'm getting comments from the viewers right now and they're literally saying 'Oh no, they're mid!' in the chat! Do you know what that means for me as a content creator?!"
"No, and I really don't care," Lucille snapped, as she would slow down, like Lila was doing, and made it to the end, shoving her a bit to get to the door. "Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to the fourth floor." With that, she stormed up the steps.
"Yeesh, is that what Joseph deals with?" Terra huffed.
"No, she's never this ticked," Brittany let out. "But I actually like this side of her. Going from a sweet girl, to someone so aggressive."
Tatiana and Brad couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at what Brittany said while Lila simply watched Lucille ascend the stairs with a look of shock on her face before slowly following after her.
*Confessionals*
Lucille: "Look, I know, that was bad, but Terra is just making me so freaking angry. Dealing with her last season was bad enough, and even though she's not competing, the thought of her in charge of the challenge just makes me want to take her butt down."
*static*
Tatiana: "Seeing Lucille begin acting more aggressively is certainly interesting, considering you know who is certainly watching."
*static*
Lila: "I never thought I would ever see Lucille act like that. She was also so… nice compared to some of the others. Is this maybe because she's hanging around Brittany so much?"
*static*
Lin: "Am I happy with Terra right now? Not exactly, but this is pretty normal for her. But when it comes to Lucille, that was something I'd expect from Brittany or Ilyria. Depending on what happens on the next couple of floors… Well, I'll definitely have a lot to think about."
*End Confessionals*
FOURTH FLOOR
Eventually, all 12 contestants made it to the fourth floor.
"Welcome to the fourth floor; floor polish, hand grenades and… and… Dum Dum, what's a neat thing to say?" Terra trailed off. From her office, the clown looked to the side over at Demetrius, who was tied up to a chair and wearing what appeared to be blue rabbit pajamas, which caused everyone to burst into laughter.
"This is highly embarrassing," Demetrius grumbled.
"Well, come on, Dum Dum, what's a neat thing to say for the floor?" Terra pressed on before snapping back to the contestants. "Oh! Physicists!"
"Terra." Lin said calmly. "Please tell us about the challenge on this floor."
"Right, right. So for this floor we have… more trivia questions! Quick! How do you say 'fart' in Japanese?!"
"NOO!" Dante cried out.
"I'm kidding!" Terra laughed. "No more questions. This floor was actually designed by Chris, a special type of smoke is going to fill the room and your job is to find the way out as fast as you can."
"And rescue me too?" Demetrius deadpanned before Charlene burst into the room, her bandmates holding her back.
"Smoke?!" She asked. "Is it cigarette smoke?! Come on, baby needs to smoke ash! BABY NEEDS TO SMOKE ASH!"
"You need a mental institution," Demetrius let out, glaring at Charlene.
"YOU NEED TO SHUT YOUR F*CKING MOUTH YOU TWO BIT PIECE OF EGGPLANT SH*T!" The firebug shouted before kicking Demetrius's chair to the floor. The kick gave the boys a chance to grab her and pull her out of the room.
"We'll handle her." Jimmy assured.
"That…was so weird…" Lucille blinked.
"Yeah, well, that's withdrawal for ya'." Terra shrugged. "Anyway, release the gas!"
At the press of a button, a cloud of white smoke began to pour into the room, almost immediately the teens began to cough.
"Don't worry, this stuff is non-toxic and it's a less potent version of the knockout gas from last season." Terra smirked.
"Oh, joy," Demetrius deadpanned. He noticed that his knots came loose a bit, so he managed to undo them, before standing up. "Now, I'm gonna wait for one of you to save me."
The Russian was soon met with a swift chop to his neck that immediately made him collapse.
"You're not going anywhere you greaseball bastard." Terra said with a disturbing seriousness in her tone.
"Stop torturing him," Lucille glared at Terra. "He doesn't deserve it!"
"He almost killed you and your boyfriend."
"Key word: almost. But he didn't."
"You sound like he didn't try to do it at all." The clown sighed. "He stole your property, cost you the chance at a million dollars, and threatened your loved ones."
"Yeah, I was ticked. But I'm glad I don't need it anymore," Lucille retorted.
Ilyria held her breath, putting on a simple face mask, to avoid breathing in the gas. It was a mask made out of cloth, with the British flag done with diamonds on it. "No, this is not a gadget. It's just a regular face mask."
"Do you have any for the rest of us?" Brittany asked.
"If you don't mind the British flag, and diamonds on them, then yes, I should have enough," Ilyria replied.
"I'll take whatever," Brittany said. Ilyria smiled, passing her a mask, before passing the others masks.
"Thank god," Dianne let out, putting her mask over her mouth and nose. "Thank you, Ilyria."
"You're welcome," the spy shrugged.
As Lila was handed a mask, the soft spoken girl looked around the room before noticing a yellow nozzle with a small wheel on it. As she hurried over to it and turned the wheel, the gas flooding the room began to fade.
"Phew, perfect!" Tracy sighed. "Thanks for that!"
"Hooray for little miss perfect," Brittany deadpanned, lowering her face mask. "We should still keep these, just in case."
"Agreed," Matthew let out as Tatiana opened the door to the next set of stairs.
"Alright, this next floor should be the last one. Let's end this nightmare."
FINAL FLOOR
As the teens arrived on the final floor, they noticed a large number of colored ropes hanging from the ceiling with hatches connected to them. From a large screen, Terra watched them with a disappointed look on her face.
"Okay, bad news." She began. "Firstly, I ran out of funny things to say at the beginning of every floor. Second, this is the last level you guys need to go through, which means our fun times are almost over."
"And the good news?" Brittany asked.
"There is no good news. It's all downhill from here! Anyway, this floor is pretty simple. Pull a rope and win a prize. One of the ropes unlocks the last door and the first person to meet me in my office wins."
"I guess I'll go first," Dianne said, stepping forward, and examining the colored ropes. She would soon approach an indigo rope, and tug on it. The hatch above her opened up, causing an avalanche of plush toys to rain down on her. Every plush resembled Terra herself, with her rainbow hair and overalls done with good detail, yet giving her button eyes and a small smile. The only exception was one with brown hair wearing a purple blouse, black pants and white boots.
"What the?" Dianne was confused.
"Do you like them?" Terra asked. "I had a bunch of plushies commissioned before this stream started! They're all me!"
"What's the prize then?" Dianne looked a bit creeped out. "I'm not keeping these."
"There is no prize. You got the wrong rope."
"Wait, but you said pull a rope, and win a prize," Ilyria said.
"That's just a figure of speech. There's something in each of the containers the ropes are connected to. Whatever's inside of them is your 'prize' , some are better than others. You're all looking for the one that leads you to me."
"Figures," Brittany grumbled. "Dante, do you want to go next?"
"We won't get out of here if I don't…" The boy sighed as he pulled on a yellow rope. From above him, bunches of corn rained down upon him.
"Gentlemen, behold…!" Terra called out. "Corn!"
"Hmm." Tracy hummed. "That isn't so bad. I mean I am getting kind of hungry."
As the country girl went to go grab an ear of corn, the vegetable was actually revealed to be fake toy corn.
"Eh? Terra what is this?" Lin asked.
"I found a whole bunch of 'Yodeling Corn' toys on Amazon, so I figured they'd be a funny addition to this challenge."
"'Yodeling Corn?'" Ilyria's eye began to twitch. "For the love of goodness gracious…"
"Hey, I didn't make them." Terra shrugged.
"Who would even desecrate corn like that?" Tracy huffed, pulling a pink rope. Suddenly, more corn fell atop of her.
"Gentlemen, behold…! More corn!" Terra laughed. "That's actual corn by the way."
"Yay…" Tracy croaked out in pain from beneath the vegetables.
Lucille would pull on a turquoise rope, causing confetti to fall on her. She sighed in annoyance. "Great…"
Byron pulled on a sickly green colored rope. As the blogger looked up in anticipation of what would rain down upon him, he let out a gasp when he suddenly fell into what appeared to be a ball pit.
"Huh…" Terra hummed. "Kinda forgot he was even there to be honest…"
"I HEARD THAT!" Byron snapped.
"Careful down there!" The clown called out. "I hear there's vomit in that ball pit!"
"VOMIT?!" Byron gasped, before hurling in disgust.
"Well I was talking about one of Midnight Men's very early albums that they made as a joke but I guess now there's actual vomit in the ball pit…" Terra cringed.
"You're insane…" Matthew sighed.
"Hey, how was I supposed to know he'd barf?! Hey, if it makes you all feel any better, I'll send a member of the band down there to get him out and give him an antacid or something."
"Perhaps he needs a shower?" Ilyria raised an eyebrow. "And a warm bowl of chicken noodle soup."
"And some therapy when this is all over." Tatiana sighed as she went to pull a ruby red rope. A flutter of papers descended from the ceiling, all of them appeared to have been drawn by Terra, some ranged from simple sketches of the old and new cast and others were actually very well drawn.
"Please, let my rope be normal…" Matthew prayed, as he pulled on a metallic blue rope. The hatch opened up, and a single frog landed on his head.
Ribbit.
"Oh nope, nope, nope!" Matthew would immediately fling the frog to the other side of the room. "Not today, you ridiculous amphibian!"
"Terra, why would you bring one of those singing frogs here?" Lin sighed.
"I didn't…" The clown replied, her eyes wide in horror.
"Wait…what?" Matthew was wide-eyed. "Then why was it here?" Before anyone could say anything else, a swarm of the frogs descended onto Matthew from above. They would soon all pull out a top hat and a cane, before they began to sing.
"Hello, my baby,
Hello my Honey,
Hello my ragtime gal!
Send me a kiss by wire,
Baby my heart's on fire!
If you refuse me, honey you'll lose me, then you'll be left alone, oh baby
Telephone and tell me I'm your own!"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Matthew screamed.
"Nononononono we are NOT doing this!" Terra shouted. "Someone pull the cherry red rope!"
Tracy hurried over to the specified rope and yanked it, unleashing a torrent of water onto the floor, flooding it and washing away all of the frogs down into the ball pit.
"Are you serious? You could have used a vacuum to remove these frogs!" Ilyria grumbled.
"The only vacuum big enough to affect the room is a wind turbine, and that would have killed those frogs and all of you. I'm not crazy enough to even think of doing something like that."
Matthew would be huddled into a ball, muttering to himself. "So….many…frogs…so…many….frogs!"
As everyone tried to recover from the sudden flood, Lila stood up and looked around the remaining ropes before walking over to a rainbow colored rope and pulling it while Tracy crawled over to the wall closest to her. A sudden click to the country girl's left caught her attention and sure enough, the door to the upstairs opened up beside her. With a newfound rush of energy, Tracy dashed through the door to the final stairwell.
"Holy crap…" Brittany let out.
"Talk about perfect timing…" Dante sighed.
"AND TRACY WINS THE SOLE VOTE, AND IMMUNITY!" Chris announced as Tracy entered Terra's office.
"Hey, congrats!" The clown greeted. "Now… behold! Even more corn!"
"Oh no, I am not falling for that again!"
"But this time… will be different!" Terra assured with a grin.
"Ehh, okay… Because I am still kind of hungry…" Tracy grumbled as Terra brought out a plate full of corn. Just as Tracy grabbed one though, she was met with another click and the sound of yodeling. With a deadpan look on her face, the blonde girl glared at Terra.
"It's not different at all, is it Trace! Bwahahahaha!"
Later that day…
The 12 contestants would be eating dinner in the dining room. It was complete silence. Matthew sat next to Tracy.
"Congrats on winning immunity."
"Thanks!" Tracy smiled before taking a big bite out of her corn on the cob.
"Now the vote's up to you," Matthew let out.
"Do you have an idea of who you want to vote for?" Brad asked.
"Hmm… Honestly. Not yet." Tracy shrugged.
"I think you should go with what your heart desires," Dianne let out. "I might be making things a bit more difficult for you…"
"Kinda, but this is a big decision, and I know there's no easy way to go about this. But right now, after the day we've all had, my heart just desires corn."
"That's just corny." Lila chuckled, getting Tracy to laugh with her.
"I hope you won't vote for me," Dianne let out. "You're really cool."
"Aww, thanks! I think the rest of you are all cool, too! This vote's gonna be super hard!"
"Well, we'll leave you to think about it." Tatiana said as she and her alliance stood up.
"Just know that your vote could have a big impact on the rest of the game." Brad added. Lila gave Tracy a friendly smile and wave before following her friends.
"I better head out, too." Lin added. "I should probably call Terra and talk to her about livestreaming us without our consent."
"Please do," Ilyria sighed. "That was annoying."
"I bet," Byron groaned, as he ate a hearty bowl of chicken noodle soup, having had a fresh shower. With a nod, Lin walked away in the same direction as the redheads.
Lucille and Dante
"Oh god, I can't believe I literally just snapped like that!" Lucille let out, groaning.
"Hey, this season's been stressful for you. Just try to relax." Dante replied.
"I keep worrying about Joseph, and how his family's still pissed at the fact that I've made him go soft…" Lucille sighed, glancing at her promise ring. Tears leaked in her eyes. "Why does this have to be so complicated?"
"That's exactly what I was thinking back when Damiano was still running rampant. It's like you really have no idea what's going on or what to do…"
"But you've been taking your medication, right?" Lucille asked. "I really hope you haven't forgotten."
"Haha, don't worry, I've been on top of that!"
"Good, cause I know Abigail would have gotten mad at you," Lucille giggled a bit.
"Yeah, I know." Dante smiled before his face grew serious. "Listen, about you and Joseph, I don't know if there's really much you can do about that right now. But, I will say this. When you got angry out there, it kind of, I don't know, reminded me a bit of him."
"I think it's because I'm hanging out with Brittany. Yeah, she's not being a villain this season…at least for now. She hasn't played dirty."
"For sure. But let's hope it stays that way. I don't think any of us can handle Brittany at that level again."
"She's a mob boss, what do you expect? Her to be a goody-two shoes?" Lucille let out before the two shared a laugh.
Byron, Dianne, and Brittany
The two girls would help the blogger back to his room. "Easy, big guy, you're gonna need a lot of rest."
"I don't want to get you both sick," Byron let out.
"I've been declared cancer-free. I'm okay," Dianne let out.
"He's right, Di. You've already suffered a lot," Brittany frowned.
"Yeah…but the doctors are confident that I shouldn't get cancer again," Dianne let out.
"I hope," Byron let out. "Ugh, Chris will expect me down for elimination…"
"We'll find a way to tell him that you had to go to bed early because you got sick. I hope he'll be reasonable…" Brittany frowned.
"He'd better…" Byron let out, coughing into his arm.
The two girls would soon bring Byron into his room, and tucked him in. "I'm gonna go find Chris, and let him know," Brittany said.
"Okay," Dianne nodded.
The mob boss would hurry off to find Chris, who would be talking with Chef. "McLean."
"Brittany." Chris replied.
"Byron can't come down to the elimination tonight, after getting sick. He's in his room, recovering."
"Hasn't stopped the older cast before." The man shrugged before grinning. "But hey, Terra's challenge got the ratings skyrocketing, so I'll excuse him this one time. But if Tracy picks him to leave he'll have to pack up."
"Fair," Brittany nodded. "I just wanted to give you a head's up."
Matthew and Tracy
"Are you still having a hard time deciding?" the male YouTuber would sit next to the country girl on the steps of the hotel.
"Kinda." Tracy sighed. "Everyone's been nice to me since the game started, more or less."
"Perhaps you should consider eliminating one of the stronger players," Matthew let out. "Maybe Lin? She did make it to third place last season."
"Well, that's true, but Brittany also made it to the end. Plus there's Ilyria who has all those spy gadgets and is also really tough."
"She's a spy, what do you expect?" Matthew let out. "Then, there's Lucille, who really shocked us today after snapping at Terra."
"Yeah, I didn't think she could get so mad…"
"I think she's trying to prove herself. She was the first boot in the merge last season…maybe she wants revenge?"
"Revenge?"
"Didn't you watch that episode where she got eliminated?" Matthew raised an eyebrow.
"But Demetrius and Walter aren't playing this season and Butch is already gone, who would she want revenge against?"
"But Butch and Walter weren't themselves last season. They were hypnotized by Demetrius. Anyway, I think you should use your vote to get rid of one member of that red-haired alliance."
"I mean, I've thought about that, too. But they've all been super nice to me, too. I think everyone is overreacting over them."
"Overreacting? Brad's already trying to weasel Lin over to his alliance. He's playing like that slimeball Alejandro from World Tour, and Scott from Revenge of the Island."
"Are you sure? They seem to genuinely like each other's company to me?"
"I've dealt with entitled streamers from time to time, and Brad is no good. He HAS to go."
"I don't know… maybe you just haven't had the chance to really get to know him?"
"He plotted my sister's elimination!" Matthew snapped. "Can't you see that, you country bumpkin?!"
"Wh-What did you just call me?!" Tracy gasped.
"You heard me," Matthew seethed. "A country bumpkin. Did Brad convince you to eliminate my sister? Answer me! No one's told me who voted for her, and I'm livid about it!"
"You know what? Fine! I did vote for your sister because I could already see that you two, and the rest of our old team, were hating them for petty reasons! You just said I should vote for a strong player to vote out, but we had the chance to get rid of Brittany and instead you got rid of Eddy! You just have a grudge against Brad and his friends and now you want to insult me because of that?! Maybe I've just made my decision…" Tracy shouted before storming off.
Elimination Ceremony
The 11 contestants would make their way down to the ceremony. Chris had informed them that Byron had been excused due to recovering from his illness due to Terra's challenge. Matthew sat on the log, crossing his arms.
"He seems mad…" Lucille let out. "Really mad."
"He looks about as mad as she does." Lin noted, pointing over to Tracy, who sat with her arms crossed as well, a look of tranquil fury on her face.
"What the heck happened?" Brittany let out.
"Should we ask?" Lila pondered.
"It'll probably cause things to get even more heated…" Ilyria let out. "It's probably best to let them cool down."
"I don't know if that's possible." Chris announced with a chuckle and an eager grin. From behind him, Chef stood with a burlap sack that he handed to Chris. "Today's episode was certainly… interesting…"
"What's in the bag?" Ilyria raised an eyebrow.
"Well, since Terra was in charge of the challenge and her live stream was so successful both for us and for her, we decided to give her a little boost and have today's immunity symbol be her keychain!" Chris announced, pulling out a keychain that looked like a chibi version of Terra.
Alexis would soon approach. "Tracy, you can stand up, and announce who you want to keep in the game."
"Gladly." The country girl huffed before standing and glancing at Matthew, who looked away with anger on his face. "The first three that are safe are Lila, Tatiana and Brad."
"Shocker," Brittany whispered to Dante.
"Next, I choose Lin."
Alexis would pass four of the keychains to Lila, Tatiana, Brad, and Lin.
"Dianne, Dante and Ilyria."
"Thanks, Tracy," Dianne smiled at the country girl.
"Very appreciated," Ilyria nodded while Dante sighed in relief.
"Lucille and Byron are next."
"I'll give his keychain to him," Alexis said. "I'll slip it under his door."
"Thank you, Tracy," Lucille let out, as she got her keychain.
"Just Brittany and Matthew left." Chris raised an eyebrow. "Who's it gonna be?"
"Wait, why am I in the bottom 2?" Brittany raised an eyebrow.
"Because I was considering getting rid of one of the biggest threats, but this 'country bumpkin' has another idea, so you're safe. Matthew is out!" Tracy huffed.
Matthew stood up. "Fine. Fine then!"
Alexis would hurry over to the young man, and pull him into a passionate kiss, to which Matthew returned with a smile.
"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Brittany let out.
The kiss would last about three minutes, before Matthew pulled away with a smile. "I finally got to hook up with the girl of my dreams. Thank you." With that, he would head back to the hotel to pack up his things.
"Well, you guys are dismissed," Chris smirked, as Matthew soon left the hotel with his luggage, boarding the Bus of Losers.
Brittany, Lucille, and Ilyria
"Okay, now I know things are fishy. I never would have thought Tracy would pick those redheads first," Brittany huffed. "Then she picked Lin."
"Do you really think she's into Brad?" Lucille asked.
"Like I said earlier, if Brad treats Lin right, then I have no need to get involved with her love life," Ilyria said. "I literally don't see the problem here."
"I know you might hate this, but we have to get rid of Lin. If she keeps focusing on Brad, who knows what will happen?"
"I don't know…" Lucille bit her bottom lip softly.
"I'm not targeting my friend," Ilyria glared.
"I'm not saying we have to get rid of her right now, but we will have to do it eventually."
"I think I'm gonna need some air…" Ilyria sighed, walking out of the room.
Lin and Ilyria
The British spy left the dining hall. She sighed softly. As she began to walk through the hallway, she unknowingly bumped right into Lin.
"Hm? Oh, hey, Ilyria, what are you still doing up?"
"No reason. What about you?" Ilyria asked.
"Same for me, I suppose." Lin replied.
"Listen, if you want to get with Brad, you have my support. As long as he treats you right, I won't get involved," she said.
"Eh? What does Brad have to do with this?" The smaller girl asked, clearly getting flustered.
"I've noticed you spending a lot of time playing chess with him," Ilyria replied.
"And you don't think that's a problem?"
"No. I don't," Ilyria replied. "If it was, then I'd be steering you away from him. But, as I said. If he treats you right, then I have no need to get involved. But if he does hurt you…he'll be beat up by me personally."
"Don't beat him up. I already have to make sure people don't try to beat up Terra…"
"She's lucky I'm not going after her," Ilyria let out.
"I've noticed a few things, too, though. You've been hanging around Lucille and Brittany a bit more often."
"And?" Ilyria raised an eyebrow.
"They don't like my new friends and neither of them like Terra. Honestly, I'm pretty sure you don't like any of them much either."
"Brad and Tatiana are okay, but Lila's verbal tic is starting to annoy me," Ilyria admitted honestly. "Don't worry, I don't hate them."
"You say that, but sooner or later you'll just end up hating them. Brittany and Lucille already do." Lin replied. "Heck, most of the others do. But that's because none of you get them."
"We'll see how things get on then," Ilyria said. "I'm gonna head to bed now. Have a good night, Lin." With that, the British girl would head up to bed.
"So, you've finally hooked up with Matthew," Chris smirked at the young chef.
"I did," Alexis rolled her eyes. "Why are you smirking like that?!"
"Because our little girl is finally growin' up." Chef chuckled.
"I'm not little anymore, uncle," Alexis hissed.
"Aww, you'll always be little to me!" The man cackled, pinching his niece's cheek.
"As much as I love this touching family moment, we still need to close out the episode." Chris said. "After what is possibly our craziest challenge in Total Drama history, we're down to just eleven contestants left! It looks like battle lines are being drawn, who knows what we can expect next!
