Author's Note: Hello everyone! Sorry this took me longer to post, but life was busy for me. So not much to say, but there's gonna be another chaos moment with a certain friend and there's also gonna be a small reference to the School of Secrets books if yall read them and it's to do with a curious blonde we all know and love. And updates about Quincy's third story will be coming soon, but until then, enjoy the read.
Sibling Rivalry Display
It was a normal Wednesday morning, where the kids in lovely Auradon Prep are currently in class learning all the lessons of the day. Well except for some who have a period free, like for example, Quincy and Jordan, who right now are in his and Chad's room as Jordan is getting her hair done by the red-headed Prince of Wonderland. Jordan made her appointment around 2 weeks ago and it was finally time for her to experience one of her best friend's new hair products that is said to die for. Hardly anyone knows much about these new products, since they were in store yet, but Quincy knows some information on it but hardly anyone's asking for it, they just know that it looks amazing on them.
But curiosity was getting to Jordan and while Quincy was washing her hair, she just had to ask, "So who exactly send you these products, Quincy? I'm just curious, plus hardly anyone ever asks."
"Actually, it's from a new company. But let me show you one of the packagings." Quincy said.
He grabbed a leave-in conditioner and after rinsing her hair, he gives it to her and the symbol on it catches her eye. It was yellow sun with a purple background but she recognizes it immediately.
"That looks like the Corona symbol." Jordan said.
"That's what I'm saying. I guess it's no surprise due to their queen's hair history. I thought about hitting her up in the dms and asking her more about this company, but I'm just so swamped with hair appointments, I don't even have time for myself. Not to mention the fact that the seniors are graduating in less than two months from now."
"Wow, talk about busy. You know, maybe you should get an assistant, to help manage your time better." Jordan suggested while Quincy was putting the same Leave-In Conditioner in her hair.
"I don't about that, Jor. I have a way for certain things and I just don't think I can trust anyone with my vision of how I see to those things. I couldn't even trust Chad with making one appointments."
"No surprise there." Jordan agreed with an arched eyebrow as Quincy puts in a sealant. "But maybe give some thought on what I said. Trust me, mental health is important, you have to take care of yourself before you start taking care of others. I always take breaks, especially when I'm editing videos for my web show."
"Hmm, I'll think on it. Thanks for the advice." Quincy thanked her as he was flat-ironing her hair.
"Anytime, Q!" Jordan replied. "But I'll tell you what I can do for you. I'll look into this company and get back to you what I can find."
Quincy then puts Jordan's hair in her classic ponytail and gives it some curls with his curling iron. "You'd do that?"
"Of course, my pleasure. It's my way of thanking you for doing my hair."
And by the time he was done giving her hair some volume, he hands her the hand mirror, she was stunned.
"Oh my Gosh! It's like you brought it back to life! It looks brand new!" Jordan couldn't believe her eyes when she looked at herself in the hand mirror and the big mirror behind her. She even feels one of her curls with her index and thumb fingers, making her fall in love with how soft it is!
"It really is soft! I can't wait to show this off on my next video!" Jordan said. "I'm putting the word out there!"
"You're giving me to much credit." Quincy blushed. "I was just doing what comes natural to me!"
"You are a natural alright!" Jordan said as she got up and give Quincy his payment. "Ok, I gotta get ready for my next class, so I'll give you a ring when I find something!"
"Thanks Jordan, see ya!" Quincy said as she left the dorm room.
He then sits down realizing he only got 20 mins left, so he gets his stuff ready as well. He then looks at his binder of booked appointments and it looks as if they all collided with each other, almost leaving no space for him to relax.
"Man, this gonna be the busiest month ever."
Library
It was after school and the library is still open for another couple of hours, and with finals coming up, it's more packed than usual. Almost all the computers were used, books are being checked out and everyone's listening to audiobooks. Quincy happens to be study among the students as well for his upcoming math final, which turns out to involve a lot of numbers and symbols he barely recognizes. He's currently in his corner of the place as he believes it to be the most comfortable with his chair, a foot stool and a cherry cola beverage. He's currently doing math equations which he seems to get while looking at his textbook and writing in his red notebook when suddenly….
"Quincy?" A voice said.
"Aahhh!" Quincy screamed.
"Shhhh!" The librarian said as she heard Quincy. She then pointed at the sign 'No Shouting!'.
"Sorry." He whispered.
He turned to who said his name on his right and it was none other than Aladdin and Jasmine's son.
"Thanks for scaring the daylights out of me, Aziz." Quincy whispered.
"Sorry, Quincy." Aziz whispered back. "Jay told me you were in here cause I was looking for you."
"What's going on?"
"I was hoping if there's any openings in your time slot for a quick trim."
"Not at the moment, I'm afraid. I'm booked throughout the week and I have to study for my finals. These math equations, I can barely solve them. Plus, I'm nearly wiped today from the appointments I had today."
"Are you sure? Cause I really need this cut. I'm going to museum to study my history final with Lonnie and…"
"Wait, Lonnie?!" Quincy perked up at her name. "She's studying with you?"
"Yeah."
"Alone?" Quincy arched his right eyebrow and smirked a bit.
"I don't know, maybe?" Aziz blushed.
"Is it really studying if you're both alone?"
"Of course it is, just nothing but looking up artifacts of Auradon History." Aziz was looking up with Quincy staring at him with a knowing look, which was making him nervous.
"Well, I could spare some time for you to look your best and it does give me the chance to finally use my mousse. It's from this new company where I've gotten their products from."
"Thank you so much! You have no idea what this means to me." Aziz speaks normally.
"Shhhh!" The other students around them shushed.
"Sorry." Aziz apologized silently.
"Meet me at mine's and Chad's dorm room in half an hour." Quincy whispered.
"Cool."
Aziz left while Quincy went back to his studying.
"Oh, so that's what this symbol means. Now it makes sense. So I carry the four by…."
Quincy's and Chad's Dorm Room
Quincy had Aziz positioned to the big mirror in his chair and after examining his hair, his bang area has grown down to his ears and the rest was almost cover his neck.
"So what are we thinking? Just above the neck? Maybe layering it?"
"Definitely above my neck, but I want the sides shorter so they don't cover my ears." Aziz said.
"I almost couldn't believe you went this long with a cut. We're you trying to copy Jay and me?" Quincy joked.
"I was just too busy lately with R.O.A.R., my classes and my summer plans."
"I get that. I'm still trying to decide what I wanna do when summer break comes. I can't exactly go back home obviously. Then again, I was just wondering where am I going to go. Me and the other VKs. Sure, We only got another year at Auradon Prep before we graduate, but for summer, I don't know where we're gonna stay at."
"I'm sure Ben will think of something."
"No doubt in mind. He's done a lot for us, so it'll be no surprise for when we cross that bridge. But that's enough about me. We just have to get you ready for your study date." Quincy smirked once more.
"It's not a date." Aziz blushed while failing to look annoyed.
"Not with that attitude."
Quincy got out his shears and begins the cutting process. This took no longer than 10 minutes with Aziz. Quincy cut the sides first until the hair was so short, it was behind his ears. His backside was cut and layered, making his neck completely visible. As for the top of his head, his bangs are short above his forehead and the rest were practically standing instead of covering his head. Quincy then washed his hair of any little clippings and grease. His then conditions it, drys it and puts in that new mousse. And finally, his blow dries it. After the finishing touches, Quincy gives Aziz the hand mirror and he was stunned.
"Well, Romeo?" Quincy smiled.
"Wow!" Aziz wanted to look in the two mirrors forever.
"I'll take that as you love it?"
"Beyond that!" Aziz said. "Bro, this is it! This is what I'm going for!"
"Thanks for the praise. I'm gonna be honest, I hardly ever do guys' hair. I mostly get girls." Quincy said.
"Imma make sure the entire R.O.A.R. Team knows what you did. You gotta expand some more. I surprised you haven't done so."
"Guess I was too overbooked to think of anything else." Quincy wipes his forehead, thanking Zeus it didn't take him long.
"You should think of getting an assistant."
"Funny, that's what Jordan suggested this morning."
"Then you should take our advices to consideration. Even I can see it in your eyes you're exhausted."
"Guess I can't bet anything past ya, huh future Sultan?"
"Not in the slightest." Aziz then reaches in his wallet and gives Quincy his payment for a job well done.
"Make sure you say she looks pretty tonight. Girls love a good compliment." Quincy teased.
"Still not a date."
"And it's not a total lie about you being a sultan's son, so you don't have to impress her too much like your daddy did with you mama!" Quincy said then chuckled.
"Goodbye, Prince of Wonderland." Aziz said in monotone before slamming the door.
The Museum of Cultural History
It was 7:00 at night when Aziz was walking towards the entrance, where he sees Lonnie waiting at the steps. It was like he was admiring from afar, gazing at her beauty while he was looking at her phone. It was until she saw him, Lonnie was waving at Aziz to snap him out of his daydreaming.
"Aziz! Over here!" Lonnie said.
"Oh, hey Lonnie!" Aziz said as he walked up to her.
"You're right on time."
"Of course. Anything to make sure we get to be seniors next year."
"I almost can't believe it. It seems like forever ago when we met as kids and now we're only one year away from not seeing each other as often."
Aziz didn't want to think about it too much. Having to be away from his friends and the girl he's been crazy about after high school ends. It was almost too much to bear. But he can't focus on that right now, cause now he needs to live in the present.
"So since we still have time before all that, you ready to go in?" Aziz asked.
"Sure." Lonnie answered.
They both walked in and they stared at what feels like a walk down memory lane. At least their parents' memory lane and the other royalties with their stories being told. They spotted everything from the Evil Queen's Poison Apple to Cinderella's Glass Slipper. They even passed by the Sorcerer's Hat and stared at it a little longer than needed.
"Just imagine wearing that hat. You can do anything." Aziz said.
"That is tempting." Lonnie said. "But think, anyone can wear it. Anyone with an imagination."
"Even a mouse?" Aziz suggested.
"Now that's just silly." Lonnie laughed.
"I'm serious, a mouse could get their hands on it."
"Aziz, what's a mouse gonna do with it? Make brooms and mops come to life and clean the museum?"
"Or their droppings."
Lonnie laughed louder than she wanted to. "I'll never get your sense of humor."
"You seem to be enjoying it." Aziz smirked.
"That's cause you're you. You seem to know how to make a girl laugh."
"You're not just any girl to me."
"Are you saying that just cause I'm your captain?"
"Not at all."
The two stared at each other immensely and it seemed as if it was just them all alone. No words were exchanged at this staring contest, but a cough was heard. They both turned to see their genie friend was a few feet away, looking at them like she caught them red-handed.
"Um, am I interrupting something?" Jordan smirked.
"No!" They both said with red faces.
"Jordan! You startled us!" Lonnie said.
"What are you doing here?" Aziz asked.
"Just looking at some old artifacts for my final." Jordan answered.
"Oh right, yours is coming up." Aziz said.
"Duh, we have the class." Jordan reminded him. "Do I have to tell you this everytime?"
"I have a good memory, you don't have to tell me."
"You can be forgetful, like when I was turning 13."
"You'll never let that go, will you?"
"How can you forget my birthday?"
"I was being taught how to fly a magic carpet. How's that going by the way?" Aziz egged on, knowing Jordan's history with magic carpets.
"I'm getting better, for your information." Jordan exclaimed.
"Alright, you two!" Lonnie got between them. "No need to fight."
"You're right. We gotta find Yzma's Llama Potion." Aziz said.
"I got a Black Cauldron to lookout for." Jordan said.
They all went their separate ways as Jordan went right and Aziz went left with Lonnie.
"You two go at it like brother and sister." Lonnie said.
"No surprise, considering we were practically raised together. Our dads are like best friends, brothers really." Aziz said.
"I think that's wonderful. I remember me and Shang would sometimes get into little arguments, but luckily it was nothing serious." Lonnie said.
"Good to know." Aziz smiled.
10 mins later…
As the couple (couple of friends that is) are taking notes and observing more of the artifacts of the museum, Lonnie can't help but noticed Aziz's new haircut. It was looked really good on him she thought, even more…handsome than before. She couldn't tear away from it, like it was drawing her in. Aziz noticed as he turned to look at Lonnie.
"Are you ok, Lon?" He asked.
Lonnie blinked and blushed a little. "Yeah, I just caught something in my eye."
"You sure it wasn't my new look?" Aziz smirked.
"What are you, Prince Charming?" Lonnie joked.
"Well I am a prince, so not very far off." Aziz laughed.
"It does suit you, I'll admit."
"All thanks to Quincy."
"No kidding, he really did a good job." Lonnie brushes her hand on the side of his head.
"He must've of if you can't keep your hands off."
"I can't help it. It feels really soft. Has to be that new stuff."
"Works like a charm."
"So it seems." Jordan said behind them.
The two turned to see Jordan once more, again with that smirk on her face.
"Stop scaring us like that." Aziz said.
"I was just passing by, don't get your prince undergarments in a twist."
Suddenly, some music was playing, a rock-type music, singing lyrics that are a little negative on the overhead of the museum.
"They're completely untwisted, it's you that's got my mind twisted though." Aziz said.
"What's twister is your behavior, I don't appreciate that."
"I don't appreciate you butting in my business."
"What business? Like we don't already know."
"Quit acting like you know everything."
"I know plenty, like how you wouldn't stop wet the bed until you're 9."
"Says the same girl who can't tell her left from her right."
"Oh, you wanna go there?"
"I'm already there."
As the two kept arguing, Lonnie tries to stop her friends from doing anymore verbal harm to each other, but then, Aziz's and Jordan's hair started to glow a tan color from him and orange from her. Suddenly, the two glowing colors washed over Lonnie and then she was looking mad. In fact, so mad, she was growling.
"I…said….STOP!" Lonnie yelled before she flipped Aziz over to Jordan and they both trampled to the other side of the room they're in.
Lonnie was furious and starts walking over to the prince and genie.
"Lonnie, what's wrong?" Aziz said.
"Calm down, Lonnie! It's nothing to be mad about." Jordan said.
"Oh, but I am mad. You two need to stop fighting and clean up your act." Lonnie said.
She then got an idea, "And I know just how to do it." She makes a run towards the stairs to go down.
Aziz and Jordan got up and dust themselves off.
"What's gotten into her? She never acts like that before." Aziz said. "She was always so sweet."
"Yeah, even if she had a bad day, this is extreme, even for her. And what did mean by she'll clean up our act." Jordan said.
It didn't take long to know what Lonnie was referring to as Aziz remembered what they previously talked about downstairs, which is why he has this shocked look in his eyes.
"I know, but we gotta hurry." Aziz said. "Jordan, you have your lamp?"
"Yeah, but.."
Aziz reached in Jordan's bag to find the lamp in question.
"Hey!" Jordan shouted.
Aziz got out Jordan's lamp and begins rubbing it and makes a wish.
"I wish we were downstairs!"
They both disappeared in a pink smokescreen and the smokescreen reappeared downstairs with Aziz and Jordan being seen out of the smoke. They were right by the Sorcerer's Hat, just like Aziz wanted it.
"Ok, we gotta make sure Lonnie can't get this hat." Aziz said.
"Aziz, this is crazy! You don't actually think she'll do that, do you?" Jordan said.
"Right now, she's different. I don't know why, but we have to help her before she makes a mistake."
"Ok, I trust you."
"Never doubted you."
Just then, Lonnie came running in the room where she sees the hat being guarded by her friends.
"Out of my way!" Lonnie yelled.
"Lonnie, don't do this. I don't know what's happening, but you're not yourself right now." Aziz said with his hands in front of him.
"Is that so? Cause it seems like the ones who aren't yourselves is you two."
"Ok, I know what you witness was alarming, but even you wouldn't acted wonky." Jordan said.
"We'll see who's wonky after I get that Sorcerer's Hat!" Lonnie said before she goes into fighting stance.
"We can't let you do that." Jordan said.
"Watch me!" Lonnie said as she flips forward and tries to land a karate chop.
Aziz blocked it and blocks the many chops Lonnie launches as Jordan was trying to find an opening. She tries to jump on her, but Lonnie dodges it and grabs Jordan's arm to twist her around and pushes her to the podium where it hold's Jiminy Cricket's top hat and umbrella. Aziz uses this chance to grab Lonnie's arms, but she was to fast and slid her him to grab his ankles and she pulls on them hard enough to cause him to fall over. She got up and inspects her handiwork.
"Like you two amateurs could stop me." She said before walking to the Hat.
Aziz turns over wincing in pain and sees Lonnie getting closer to the hat.
"Actually, I can because…I wish you were tied up in rope!"
Lonnie was suddenly bind at the wrists behind her back, her torso and her ankles. She then fell to her knees.
"What is this? Lemme out of here!" Lonnie screeched.
Aziz went over to help up Jordan who was rubbing her hip.
"That stung." Jordan said.
"Same here." Aziz said.
They walked over to Lonnie and tried their best to reason with her.
"Lonnie, listen. I need you here this." Aziz said.
"What could you possibly have to say?!" Lonnie yelled.
"I'm sorry." Aziz said. "I'm sorry you had to see that side of me. It's just sometimes me and Jordan can go at like crazy. Been like that since we were kids. Our dads would have to separate us until we calmed down."
"Yeah, like that one time I spill Aziz's ice cream on his pants and he would chase me around the park our dads would use to take us." Jordan said smiling,
"Or when I embarrassed her in front of a guy she liked and she threw my backpack in a fountain."
"We would do so many things to each other."
They both laughed at the memories growing up.
"Why is that so funny?" Lonnie said.
"Because at the end of the day, we would apologize and make up." Aziz said.
"Really?" Lonnie said.
"Sure, he's like the brother I never had. I wouldn't have it any other way. And to be like totally honest, I did enjoy some of the torture we would do to each other." Jordan said.
"I guess that's part of being a family. We can't stand each other and yet, we can't stand to be without each other." Aziz said.
"That was so corny and you know it." Jordan laughed.
"You liked it." Aziz smiled.
"Ok, maybe."
They both laughed once again and as they were laughing, the rock music switched over to the calm music that was playing.
"Everyone, my apologies, it seemed that one of our security accidentally switched the music stations while he was going on a restroom break. The music is back to regular programming, so please, enjoy your browsing at our lovely museum!" The Museum Director said on the overhead.
Suddenly, it was like the aggression that Lonnie felt drifted away fast. She shook her head in confusion and stares at Aziz and Jordan.
"Aziz? Jordan? What happened?" She asked.
"What?" They both said.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Lonnie then noticed she was in ropes. "And why am I tied up?"
Aziz and Jordan both looked at each other.
Outside of The Museum of Cultural History
Aziz, Jordan and Lonnie are currently on the steps of the museum with the Prince of Agrabah and the Genie girl going over what happened in the past 5 mins to their young warrior friend.
"Wow. I don't even remember all that." Lonnie said.
"You seriously don't remember?" Jordan said. "That's strange."
"Are you sure, Lonnie?" Aziz asked her.
"Aziz, I would've remembered if I was going to use the Sorcerer's Hat to hurt you." Lonnie said.
"Not to alarm anyone, but this almost sounds similar to what happened at Ariana's party a while back." Jordan said.
"Thanks for the invite by the way." Aziz said sarcastically.
"It was girls night, get over it." Jordan said.
"How could I forget that night? Everyone was going bonkers on the dance floor." Lonnie said.
"Maybe it's just a coincidence." Aziz suggested.
"I'm not so sure about that. Maybe there's a bug going on." Jordan said.
"Maybe I've been studying too hard. Those exams have been stressing me out lately. And it's not even for another month or so." Lonnie said.
"Maybe you should get some rest. I think I'm wiped for the day." Aziz said.
"I hear that." Lonnie said.
She gets up and starts going down the steps.
"Want me to walk you back?" Aziz offered.
"No, that's fine. I need to clear my head anyways. I'll talk to you later, guys." Lonnie said rubbing her head.
"Bye!" Aziz and Jordan said as Lonnie keeps walking.
"Jordan, I just wanna say I'm sorry about before. I was really nervous today and I took it out on you. It's not fair of me." Aziz apologized.
"It's fine. I'm sorry too. Though I already know why you were nervous." Jordan gave Aziz that knowing grin.
Aziz sighed. "I can't keep anything from you."
"Not in a million years."
"I just don't know what to say to her. She's just so beautiful and I was trying to act confident with this new cut. It seemed to be working."
"Until I cut in. I'm sorry, I was just having fun at your expense, but I will stay out of it. I know how much you care about her."
"Thanks, but I still don't understand what got Lonnie acting this way."
"That's a good question. Something mysterious is going on here and I'm gonna find out what that is."
Next Day, Cafeteria, Lunchtime
"She what?!" Ally shouted.
"Shhh!" Jordan said.
Jordan, Ally, Quincy, Chad and Freddie are having lunch together outside at a table and Jordan was telling them about what happened at the museum yesterday.
"You gotta be kidding me." Quincy said.
"I'm dead serious, if Aziz hadn't rubbed my lamp before, there's no telling what would've happened." Jordan explained.
"I'm sure the security cameras would've told them a different story if she did it." Freddie said.
"We don't have to worry about it since Aziz used his last wish to erase footage of what happened." Jordan said.
"Good for her, but why would she do that?" Ally asked.
"I don't believe she did it consciously. I think…" Jordan looked around and then leans closer and whispered. "I think she was spelled."
This make everyone looked at her with wide eyes.
"You're saying someone made her acted this way?" Quincy asked.
"I'm not sure, but something doesn't feel right. And I had that same feeling from Ariana's party." Jordan said.
"You think there's a connection?" Ally said.
"Possibly, but I won't know more unless I start digging."
"Well, if you need assistance, I happen to know a thing or two about mysteries and curious things." Ally said.
"I'll remember that." Jordan said.
"This is insane." Chad said.
"You're right Chad, this just got interesting." Quincy said.
"I'll say." Chad said. "These babes are gonna be so hot this summer."
Dumbfounded, Quincy looks at Chad. "What?!"
Quincy looks at Chad's phone and he's looking at pictures of a summer magazine of girls in bikinis. Jordan, Freddie and Ally all looked at his phone also.
"Seriously? That's what you're gazing at?" Freddie asked.
"I'm just preparing for summer with expectations." Chad said smiling like a fool.
"Ugh." The four of them said.
"Next time, go sit with the boys." Jordan said with a annoyed tone.
Author's Note: Wow, what could be going on this time in Auradon? There's never a dull moment. What could've made Lonnie act the opposite? Will Jordan be able to solve this mystery? Who will be the next victim? Find out next time and Have a Wicked Day!
