Hermione ready herself for Gringotts and allowed Mrs Weasley to prepare her some very light lunch. She washed and dressed herself. Dumbledor informed her that the Goblins were waiting upon her arrival. She left the basement and informed Harry and Molly she was leaving. Molly insist on going with her and grabbed her bag and coat. "I believe it best we apparate to Diagon alley." Hermione informed Molly as they headed to the apparition point. It saves running into the press and too many people. Molly smiled and followed Hermione closely. Once they arrived at the Alley the staring and whispering began, they made quick work of walking towards the bank and soon heard the all too familiar noise of Cameras and press gathering outside the bank.
"Miss Granger, welcome back please follow me." Molly was surprised at how quickly Hermione received service and followed quietly behind. There was no key request or wand check for the witch, only welcoming and greeting from the Goblins around the bank as they were led to a room in the bank. It was behind thick large gates. "Miss Granger⦠and Mrs Weasley." There was a pause before the ancient Goblin looked towards Hermione for reassurance.
A grumbly old voice directed them to seats. "Miss granger, thank you for joining us for your quarterly account summary, did Dumbledor inform you of our request for your warding expertise?" He inquired before pulling out several large tombs with gold embossing. Hermione nodded to his requests. "As usual we will need to sign off on the current muggle stocks we have made over the last 2 months, as well as the general usage of your money and investments. Then we will show you the changes to your vault, go over the ledger of the high security vaults and show you to the warding area. I must apologise as I have requested a curse breaker for some tasks and I understand you do not like seeing the general public." Hermione sighed "may I inquire to whom the curse breaker is?"
"It would be our onsight curse breaker, Mr Billius Weasley." at this Mrs Weasley perked up. "We will be seeing Bill?" She asked Hermione but was quickly interrupted. "You madame will be going nowhere near these restricted areas, however I can request your sons presents now if you wish to see him. Maybe best for Hermione to consult now to limit contact?" He questioned the sullen witch. A slight nod was his only reply. "Keakald! Bring me the curse breaker." Was near enough shouted as they heard a scurry of the Goblins assistant leave to find Bill. "Now, onto the stock portfolio." Four tombs were handed to Hermione as she scanned each page and signed the bottom. "Hmmm Apple, I have seen some small exerts about this company, what is your opinion Zreaggeenk?" He hummed "as always the most insightful witch. We predict steady growth but they will progress fast, I suggest cashing out in 15-20 years. By then the galleons spent will possibly be 130 times the current investment stake. We bought enough to just be below the majority shareholder threshold."
"May your gold always flow." Hermione smiled at the Goblin. "And be pure to the owner." He finished back. "Well, I am very impressed. Many great investments made. Has anything come up using my name?" She continued. "Only requests for muggle interviews, but our profile for you is air tight and no questions yet." He pulled back the tombs and set them aside before pulling what Molly recognised as an estate ledger, her embarrassment showed in a red blush as Hermione's ledger was thick and large compared to that of her own. "Onto the estate investment, currently in talks about creating these magical apartment blocks but it appears it will be going through. Did you wish to request one for your own personal use?" Hermione perked up at this. "I thought you said it would take 2 years for the permissions and organising of land?" Hermione began to be enveloped in the conversation. Her name seems to fast track many of the issues the standard wizard or witch would face.
As the talks progressed to the two hour mark the Goblin suggested a short recess, for luncheon and to find out where his assistant had ended up. Apparently it was their second week on the job and was a young little thing. As he left, food appeared in front of Molly and Hermione. Hermione quickly grabbed some biscuits before Molly grabbed her hand "should we not check these before we eat them?" she asked and Hermione chuckled, she actually chuckled. "If you wish, you may check the food but you will find no trickery." At this Hermione quickly bit down on her biscuit and grabbed some tea to sip.
After about 20 minutes of quiet eating Molly decided to broach the subjects plaguing her mind with Hermione. "Hermione, I do not need to seem rude. But it seems your accounts are quite extensive. When did this come about?" She did not want to get right down to the nitty gritty so started off lightly. "Well, the wealth is more recent. The large chunk of money from the order of Merlin and the sale of my family property helped. But the Goblins have made the greatest growth of my wealth. However they tell me off for giving away my money." She explained and before Molly could press further they were joined by Zreaggeenk and Bill. "Hermione? You are the Wards Mistress they speak so highly?" He looked flabbergasted "We only hire the best Mr Weasley. You should know this." It was a backhanded compliment but Bill joined them and took a seat next to his mum.
"Hi mum, are you well?" Molly only smiled and patted his leg. "Huh, hem. I believe Miss Granger if it is satisfactory for you, to allow Mr Weasley to view your vault to see what we hope to achieve overall." Hermione agreed and pulled out a box from her pocket which she enlarged. It was made of black opium and required the blood of the owner as well as a magical signature spell for it to open. Both Molly and Bill looked on amazed. Once open the boxed held many keys neatly ordered and warded. "Which vault would you suggest?" She asked the goblin. "All of them, you have warded each and everyone of your vaults expertly and never the same. I believe it best for Mr Weasley to see any encased curses to your Vaults and see what you hope to achieve so he may remove any hindereses."
It was now that Bill and Molly realised Hermione had over 13 vaults. This day was only becoming longer. Hermione began to discuss what they wished of her before she interrupted the Goblin. "I will not be able to do this today. I am seeking a new wand. Before that I will not take part as you deserve the best." The Goblin smiled with its Evil pointing teeth. "Completely understandable." He hopped off his chair and led the group out of the office. "Wait! Does Mrs Weasley have permission to view your vaults?" He turned looking pointedly at the older witch. "Yes." Was all the reply he needed as he showed them rather posh looking comfortable carts.
"Your last donation to the bank allowed us some comforts." He noted before directing them into the cart. "Now shall we start." The rest of the party climbed into the cart and it quickly dived into the depths of gringotts vaults. It was an unusually long journey until they reached vault 1108. "First stop, donations and charity sums. Miss Granger if you please." He gestured for Hermione to leave the cart first. She slowly stepped out and raised her hand to the vault before reaching for a minuscule key from her pocket. Unlocking the door, Molly and Bill went to leave before the Goblin stopped "I would insist you stay here until Miss Granger gives us the all clear." He pointed to Hermione taking down several wards. As well as sending out magical signatures and finally pricking her finger and leaving a drop of her blood on the lock.
"From what I could see, there were a few wards however several had curses attached to them. And blood magic." Bill informed the Goblin. "You are correct, as well as glamours to dissaud other witches and wizards." Grumbled any missed information. "Blood magic? But that is dark magic Hermione?" Molly sprung into action talking of the dangers of the magic she was using before Bill stepped in. "Mum, I am sure Hermione is well aware of what she is doing." He looked to Hermione and she opened her mouth to reply but paused. "Whilst yes many of the spells I used are considered part of the dark arts. They in themselves aren't dark. The magic behind them are dark." She slowly walked into the vault. And began showing Bill internal curses she had placed as well as a complex ward pattern.
Molly stood shocked at the volume of the vault, whilst stepping back she accidently knocked a pile of scrolls. Quickly the Gemino curse placed on the scrolls took effect and they began to duplicate excessively. Hermione quickly waved her hand and the curse ceased, the scrolls moved to take their place again. "Molly, why don't you go home for now? See Arthur check the house is all in order. Bill is here, he'll make sure I get home safely." Bill went to say he was working till late tonight but was quickly interrupted by the Goblin. "If that is what you require Miss Granger we will allow Mr Weasley to cease work when we have finished." Bill stared in shock but nodded.
"Hermioneā¦" A long pause made the air go static but Molly couldn't find the words she only nodded and turned to exit. "A goblin will be here in a moment to take you to the banks main foyer.
