The opening cuts to a shot of Beacon Academy the next day following the Beacon Dance, then cuts to inside Ozpin's office, with General James Ironwood and Glynda Goodwitch keeping the headmaster company.
Ironwood: They were here... (raising his voice) Ozpin, they were here!
Ironwood angrily slams his fist against Ozpin's desk.
Glynda: We're very much aware of that! Thank you, James.
Ironwood: Fantastic! You're aware! Now are we going to do something about it or should we just stay the course and continue to ignore what's right in front of us?!
An alert sound plays, signifying that someone has arrived on the elevator.
Ozpin: Come in.
Ruby Rose steps out and into the room.
Ruby: Sorry it took so long. Someone accidentally hit all the buttons on the elevator on the way up here. (pausing before quickly explaining herself) It wasn't me.
Ozpin: Thank you for coming, Ruby. How are you feeling?
Ruby: Okay, I guess. I'd feel better if my bad-guy-catching record wasn't O-for-three.
Everyone stares silently.
Ruby: Okay, so that's the tone we're going for, got it.
Ironwood: Ruby, I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you did last night is exactly what being a Huntress is all about. You recognized a threat. You took action. And you did the very best you could.
Ruby: Thank you, sir.
Ozpin: Now, the general here has already informed us of the events that... transpired last night, but now that you've rested, we were wondering if you had anything to add.
Glynda: Was anyone else with her? Did she look familiar to you at all?
Ruby: I... I don't know. She was wearing a mask, and she never said anything to me. But I know she fought with glass. I don't think that was her Semblance, though. Her clothing lit up whenever she attacked.
Glynda: Save for the glass, that sounds like the woman I fought the night we met Ruby.
Ironwood: Embedding Dust into clothing is an age-old technique. It could have been anyone.
Ruby: Wait. You think this girl is connected to Torchwick and the White Fang?
Ozpin: It's possible. But we still lack the required evidence to link the two together.
Ruby: Actually, I... I think I remember her saying something about a hideout, or something, in the southeast. Just outside the Kingdom.
Ozpin: Interesting.
Glynda: I thought you said the intruder never—
Ozpin: Thank you for your cooperation, Ruby. Why don't you go and spend some time with your team? You have a big day ahead of you.
Ruby: (leaving) Any time.
Ozpin: And Miss Rose, please try and be ... discreet about this matter.
Ruby: Yes sir.
As Ruby leaves the group continues their previous conversation.
Ironwood: Well there we have it. We send as many troops as we can to the southeast, find out exactly what's going on, and eradicate any forces that stand in our way.
Glynda: (growls in frustration) Why must your answer to everything involve a triumphant display of military bravado!? You treat every situation like it's a contest of measuring di—!
Ozpin: Glynda!
Glynda: Well, he does.
Ozpin: She's right. As much as I too would love to end this situation once and for all, we must remember that this may go beyond Vale. Beyond Beacon. And if this truly is part of some master plan for which we know not the final move, we mustn't be so bold. Nor can we risk the spread of panic.
Ironwood: I have served you faithfully for years... but if you mean to tell me that your plan is to really hold the defenses, and wait—!
Ozpin: (abruptly stands from his chair) It is not! You're a general, James. So tell me, when you prepare to go to war, which do you send in first? The flag bearers, or the scouts?
Ironwood: What do you have in mind?
Ozpin activates his console as it displays footage of Ivan Saxe, Sky Altair, and Bleu Falls on several missions that they have done in the past.
Ozpin: These three Huntsman have been doing jobs in Vale for the past few months and I must say, they are more than well equipped to deal with this matter without spreading panic.
Back at the inn
Ivan is seen putting on his gear as his gauntlets transform into stationary mode and he grabs his blade and straps it onto his belt.
Bleu's house
Bleu grabs her chain blades and ties her hair into a single ponytail. She then walks out of her room to see her dad putting his jacket on.
Henry: Oh Bleu, where are you headed so soon?
Bleu: Ozpin called us to investigate a White Fang hideout in the southeast. So I might be gone for a few days.
Henry: Oh really. Well, have you packed everything you need?
Bleu: Yes father, including my sleeping bag.
Henry: Well then, I guess I'll see you again soon.
Bleu: That's a promise.
Suddenly a knock on the door is heard and Bleu opens it to see Sky holding his weapon in its staff form.
Sky: You all set to go?
Bleu: Yep, just saying goodbye to dad.
Henry: Sky, hello there.
Sky: Good morning sir. How is your morning so far?
Henry: Good. You here to pick up Bleu?
Sky: Yes sir.
Henry: Alright then. Have a good trip dear.
Bleu: Thanks, dad.
As Henry heads into town Bleu waves goodbye to him. Bleu then notices Sky holding his weapon.
Bleu: So, shall we go meet up with Ivan?
Sky: Of course.
Sky's weapon then changes as the staff shrinks and both ends detach into two sai as Bleu grows wings from her arms.
Sky: If you don't mind me asking, what type of bird do you think of when you conjure those?
Bleu: I honestly just think about any bird that has strong wings and it just happens. But to be more specific, I look at your wings and think of those.
Sky: Well that's a kind thought.
Bleu smiles.
Bleu: Shall we?
Sky nods his head as they take to the sky and fly to where Ivan texted them to meet. They soon arrive to find Ivan waiting by his motorcycle. Bleu notices a photo in his hand as he quickly puts it away.
Ivan: Hey guys.
Sky: Hello.
Bleu: So, we ready to do this?
Ivan: Actually, I want to ask you both something.
Bleu: Oh.
Sky: Is everything ok?
Ivan: Yeah it's just, I met this guy that recently got here in Vale and he was investigating the White Fang, so if you wouldn't mind?
Bleu: Sure.
Ivan: Huh?
Bleu: It's ok. We could use the extra help.
Sky: We could? (Bleu punches his arm) Ow. I mean yes we could.
Ivan: Ok, I'll give him a call.
Back at the inn
Fang is seen holstering his revolvers as Kayla finally wakes up and lets out a groaning sound.
Kayla: You going somewhere?
Fang throws on his jacket as he grabs his hat.
Fang: Ivan just called me and said he and his team are investigating a possible hideout for the White Fang. They offered me to join them.
Kayla: Should I come with?
Fang: I think it'd be best if you stay in Vale.
Kayla looks down in sadness.
Kayla: Oh, ok.
Fang puts his hat on and sees that Kayla is upset.
Fang: (sighs) Hey. I know it's been hard these past few days. With burying Tukson, and I know you're worried about me getting hurt. But remember what I promised you when I took you and Tukson in?
Kayla: We look after each other and never doubt one another.
Fang: Exactly.
Fang places his hand under her chin and raises her head.
Fang: I'll be back. That is my promise to you, kiddo.
Kayla throws herself at Fang, embracing him in a tight hug as he hugs her back. They break the hug and Fang heads to the door until...
Kayla: I love you, dad.
Fang stops when he hears her say that. He turns to face her.
Fang: Love you too, Kayla. See you soon.
Fang closes the door as he heavily breathes after hearing Kayla call him that as he realized, he remembered all those times when he took Kayla and Tukson into his home, he cared for them, and taught them how to fight, and how to live without him. He then chuckled with the thought that he was probably a better parent than the ones he never knew when he and Klaw had to survive on their own. He then leaves the inn and gets on his motorcycle as he heads to Ivan and the others.
Fang meets up with Ivan and his team as he steps off his bike.
Ivan: Thank you for coming, Fang.
Fang: Thanks for the invite. Now, do you have any leads so far?
Sky walks up to Fang.
Sky: On my way here I saw some smoke coming from inside the forest area. Could be a possible location?
Fang: Maybe, but don't get your hopes up. The White Fang have tried to be as discreet as possible ever since their most recent incident.
Bleu steps up to the group.
Bleu: You mean the accident on the highway?
Fang: Indeed. I also found this at one of their abandoned hideouts. (Shows Dust round with the SDC logo) They cleaned the place out before I could do anything.
Bleu: This just seems strange.
Fang: What does?
Bleu: Why all the Dust? Surely they don't need so much of it, right?
Ivan: Don't suppose they'll just sell it themselves, right?
Fang: In the past during some of their raids, they would only take what they need and destroy the rest.
Sky: And you know this how?
Fang looks at Sky's untrusting face and sees Bleu look worried.
Fang: (sighs) Ok you know what, how about we start over? My Name is Fang Sanguise. I survived in the streets of Vacuo with my brother until we were able to apply for the Huntsman Academy. After we graduated, we joined the White Fang to help with the cause for equality between Humans and Faunus. I left on my own accord and took care of two kids that were abandoned when I moved back to Vacuo. I started a blacksmithing business so I could live a quiet life. But recently a friend of mine was killed by the White Fang, and I came here to find his killers and bring them to justice. Is that enough of a resume for you?
Sky and Bleu look at each other before nodding their heads to Fang.
Bleu: Sorry, it's just-
Sky: Most of us have learned it is best to make sure we don't deal with the trouble. And me personally I don't trust the White Fang.
Bleu: I don't exactly have anything against them. I just hear only bad things about them.
Fang: Well, I left for a reason. So I guess I'm in the same boat as you miss.
Ivan: Alright, now that we are acquainted with each other, we should probably start investigating the White Fang.
AFF: Agreed.
The group makes their way through the forest and they start to hear voices ahead.
White Fang Member: Look, I'm just saying when are we gonna be a part of the big jobs?
The group hides in the trees as two White Fang members walk by.
White Fang Member 2: We are better off here because I for one don't trust that Torchwick guy. Commander Taurus knows that he is only a means to an end.
White Fang Member: Yeah, but don't forget about that lady that Taurus is working with. She literally scares me.
As the two White Fang members leave, Sky begins talking through his Scroll to the others.
Sky: The base looks heavily guarded and I don't suppose if we got our hands on some White Fang outfits, we could sneak our way in right?
Fang: No, but not to your idea. I know their Commander Taurus well. He's a real danger, even to the White Fang. He's the reason I have a scar on my chest.
Ivan: So he could easily sniff us out?
Fang: Yeah, so we need to be-
Bleu: I'm in.
Fang: What?
Bleu: I'm in the hideout.
Fang: How the hell?
Sky: Bleu, are you crazy?
Ivan: How are you avoiding detection?
Bleu: I used my Semblance to change my appearance. I'm using chromatophores that Cuttlefish have to change my skin color so it's basically like camouflage.
Ivan: O...k, do you see anything?
Bleu looks around and notices someone walking out of the main tent.
Bleu: Someone is leaving. And she's human.
Fang: What?
Ivan: She? What does she look like?
Bleu: She has brown and pink colored hair. Her eyes are different colors too. She's... carrying an umbrella? Weird.
Ivan: An Umbrella? Who needs an umbrella this time of year?
Fang: It might be a weapon. I've heard that Roman Torchwick carries a cane that can also shoot Dust rounds.
Ivan: Fair point, but what do we do? Do we engage?
Fang looks to see the girl leaving the camp as he carefully studies her. She starts skipping as she leaves the camp.
Fang: No, we don't know what she could be capable of. Plus she could have backup nearby.
Sky: Bleu, anything else going on there?
Bleu carefully leans by the main tent and starts listening in.
Adam: And you're certain that he'll do his part?
?: Oh don't worry about him, Adam. Roman will have to improvise if something goes wrong.
Adam: And what of Blake? You are certain she is there at Beacon?
Fang's eyes widen when he hears Blake's name. What does Adam want with Blake? Who is he talking to? Why is he working with Roman? It didn't make sense to him but he kept on listening.
?: Yes, she is here but I'm curious as to why does it matter?
Adam: If she is so willing to side with humans then she will feel my wrath when I take away everyone that she loves. Starting with those Huntresses she is with.
?: In time, I will help you personally. I'll be in touch soon.
Bleu starts to back away until...
White Fang Member: Commander! He's here!
Adam Taurus walks out of his tent to be greeted by a wolf Faunus as Bleu makes her way out of the camp. She soon reunites with the others and they leave the area.
Later That Night
As Ivan tunes up his bike, Fang, Sky, and Bleu rest by a campfire. Everyone stays silent until Fang breaks the silence.
Fang: So, how did you all meet?
Bleu and Sky look at each other as Bleu suddenly laughs.
Fang: What did I say?
Bleu: No, no, it's not you. It's just the memory of how that whole thing went down still cracks me up.
Ivan: Just so you know, you did ask.
Sky: So, on that particular day the three of us were on certain missions to take down Grimm. I was tracking a pack of Beowolves and Bleu was tracking an Ursa. She ended up finding the Ursai trying to get a little girl that ran up a tree to get away and after she killed it, she almost got slashed by a Beowolf. But I ended up saving her by throwing my weapon at the Grimm and then killing it. By then the rest of the Grimm came but before they were about to attack, Mr. Collateral damage came flying off a cliff while holding a Deathstalker by its tail and throws it right on top of the horde, killing all of them.
Fang: Wow, (turns to Ivan) seriously dude. Did you even know they were down there?
Ivan: Absolutely not.
The group all started laughing as Ivan soon joined in on the fun. The group went on about some of the funniest stories from when they were just Huntsman in training.
Ivan: Ok, ok I got one. So there was this guy by the name of Qrow Branwen, the first day of Beacon he showed up to class wearing a skirt.
Fang: He did what?
Sky: Why?
Ivan: He said he thought it was a kilt. Apparently, he never wore a uniform before. His team had to tell him after the class ended. I swear I thought Professor Port was gonna die from laughter.
Fang: Believe it or not, I may have done something that was a little stupid back at Shade.
Bleu: What did you do?
Fang: So this was close to the end of our fourth year and my brother and I thought it would be a good idea to make our very own moonshine.
Ivan: Oh no, what happened?
Fang: We ended up blowing off our eyebrows. Thanks to our Aura we heal our wounds in a few days but I swore never to try that again.
They all started laughing as Ivan and Sky soon went to their tents while Fang started to put out the fire until...
Bleu: Hey Fang?
Fang: Yes Bleu.
Bleu: How long have you known Ivan?
Fang: Only for a few weeks, why?
Bleu: Well it's just, he was holding a picture when Sky and I arrived here to meet up with him but he quickly put it away before I could see it.
Fang: Oh, he hasn't told you.
Bleu: Told me what?
Fang: Look kiddo, I'm not the one to tell you. You have to give him time and I'll bet eventually he will tell you when he's ready. But for now, let's just get some sleep, okay?
Bleu: Okay. Good night.
Fang: Goodnight.
The Next Morning
Bleu stirs awake to the consistent sound of an alarm.
Bleu: Eve, can you please hit the snooze?
Bleu's eyes burst open as she finally realizes what the sound was. The city was under attack. She quickly gets out of her tent and sees smoke coming from the city.
Bleu: Everyone wake up! Vale is under attack!
Suddenly Fang, Ivan, and Sky emerge from their tents with shocked expressions.
Ivan: No time to pack up the camp, just get your gear on and let's go!
Fang grabs Narcissus and Echo and loads his fire Dust rounds as Ivan puts on his Quake and Aftershock Gauntlets and Sky grabs Stormfall. Fang and Ivan rev up their motorcycles as Sky and Bleu take to the skies.
Ivan: They'll get there before us but they won't be alone for long.
Fang: Pedal to the metal.
Ivan: Hell yeah.
As Port and Oobleck regroup at the opening from the train explosion. They fire their weapons at the approaching Grimm. Suddenly they look up to see Sky and Bleu land with their weapons as they tag team a massive Ursa. Sky throws his staff into the Ursa's chest, causing it to tumble backward as Bleu leaps into the air and starts to spin with her chain blades as she comes slamming down onto the Grimm, killing it. Amongst the chaos, Roman Torchwick tries to sneak away until he is smacked in the head by Fang's gun. Roman falls to the ground as Fang holds him down with his foot.
Roman: Did I do something to you?
Fang: Tukson. Who was it?
Roman: Wait you mean, oh is that what this is about? Look pal as much I would like you to get off me I can't tell you who killed him but I will say I didn't give the order. I gave him tickets to leave Vale cause he didn't want any part in my operation.
Fang points Narcissus at Roman's head and pulls the hammer back to load his gun.
Fang: You had better tell me who killed him or-
Roman: Or what? You'll kill me? I've heard this a thousand times pal. You won't get anything from me.
Before Fang decides to pull the trigger he just bashes his gun against Roman's head, knocking him out. Fang takes a deep breath as Ivan walks up to him.
Ivan: You gonna be alright?
Fang: Yeah, I'll be fine.
As the battle ends Ivan and Fang reunite with Sky and Bleu as they gather next to Teams RWBY and JNPR. Fang notices a familiar person amongst team RWBY and walks up to them.
Fang: Blake? Blake Belladonna?
The girl in black turns to face Fang and her eyes widen. This was indeed Blake Belladonna.
Blake: Fang? Holy cow is that you?
Fang: It sure is kid.
Blake: What are you doing here?
Fang: I would ask you the same thing.
Blake: I left the White Fang so I could become a Huntress.
Fang: Well it's good to see you taking charge of your life.
As the two ex-White Fang members reconnect they see Roman Torchwick being arrested.
Roman: Oh, I can't believe that you caught me, you've really taught me the error of my ways. (to an Atlesian Knight, who grabs him by the arm) He-hey, watch the hat!
Blake: Hopefully the General can make him talk.
Fang: One can only hope Blake.
Suddenly the two are startled by a girl with blonde hair as she says hello in a singing voice.
At The Cafe
Ivan, Sky, Bleu, and Fang are seen in a booth as Ivan drinks his tea.
Ivan: Well, today was certainly productive.
Sky: You said it.
Fang: At least we helped save the city from the Grimm and Roman Torchwick is behind bars.
Bleu: Yeah but what about that guy at the White Fang hideout? Shouldn't we worry about him?
Fang: Nah, Adam will most likely go into hiding since most of the White Fang have fallen into custody and I guess the ones that didn't make it out of those tunnels. He'll be licking his wounds before striking again.
Bleu: Maybe.
Fang finishes his tea as he stands up to leave when all of a sudden he sees the White Fang symbol on his napkin.
Fang: Uh Ivan? Did you see that before?
Ivan looks at the napkin with a confused look. Fang then looks at the wall outside the cafe and sees claw marks carved into it.
Fang: Hey ma'am?
Cafe Barista: Yes sir.
Fang: Do you know what did that? (points at the claw mark on the wall)
Barista: Oh no, some weirdo came by and left that napkin here, and then used some kind of claw weapon to leave that mark. I figured he was a Huntsman. He kinda looked like you.
Fang's eyes widen.
Fang: Wait what?
Barista: I said he looked like you. I don't mean to be offensive but I literally mean he looked exactly like you like he was your twin or something.
Fang looked at the White Fang symbol and then the claw mark, then it hit him.
Fang: Kayla.
Fang quickly left the cafe as the others got up to follow him. Bleu throws a few Lien on the table to pay for the tea.
Back At The Inn
Fang bursts through the door as the Innkeeper looks at him confused.
Innkeeper: Hey, didn't you just get here a few minutes ago?
Fang: Did the girl that was staying with me leave at all today?
Innkeeper: No, she's been upstairs all day.
Fang rushes up the stairs.
Fang: Kayla!
Fang raches the door as it looks like it was already open. His hand starts to shake as he opens it to see Kayla's body on the floor in a puddle of her own blood. Fang slowly walks to her and falls to his knees. He gently picks her up and he starts to cry because she has no heartbeat. With so much anger Fang roars into the night.
At Juniors Bar
It was a quiet night in the bar considering the Grimm attack that happened earlier as Klaw is seen sitting on a bar stool carving the White Fang symbol on the table. Junior sees this and walks over to Klaw.
Junior: You're not from around here, are you?
Klaw looks up at Junior and smiles.
Klaw: (Laughs) What gave me away?
Junior just chuckles as a distant voice can be heard.
Fang: (Quietly) Klaw!
Klaw's smile drops.
Klaw: You got insurance on this place?
Junior: Insurance? Yeah.
Klaw: That's good.
Fang: KLAW!
Junior turns his head to the bar entrance as it explodes in fire and a wolf Faunus with fire and smoke coming off his fur. It was Fang without his jacket as his fur was on fire. Klaw turns to face his brother.
Klaw: Well, well, well. Look what the mutt dragged in.
Junior: Guys whatever this is, take it outside.
Fang pulls out his revolvers and transforms them into their sword forms. Junior and his men leave the room. Klaw just smiles while everyone leaves.
Fang: Why?
Klaw: Why? (laughs) You don't call. You don't write. How else am I supposed to get your attention?
Klaw activates Wolfsbane as Fang and Klaw charge at each other with murderous intent. Fang raises his blades above his head and Klaw leaps forward, slamming into Fang as they crash through the door landing outside. Klaw grabs Fang with his claws and throws Fang at a water pipe. As Fang gets up Klaw charges at him and slashes Fang causing his Aura to flicker. Fang starts swinging his blades at Klaw but he dodges and continues to slash at him. Klaw then kicks Fang in the ribs, sending him back.
Klaw: I hate to say it, Fang, but, frankly I'm a little disappointed.
Fang gets up as his legs shake.
Klaw: Stay down.
Fang transforms Narcissus into gun form and tries to swing Echo at Klaw but as he dodges Echo, Fang aims Narcissus at Klaw's chest and pulls the trigger. Klaw is sent back as his Aura flickers. Klaw then charges at Fang but before Fang could attack Klaw uses his Semblance to teleport behind Fang and sinks his claws into Fang's shoulder before throwing him onto a stack of pipes. Fang gets up as Klaw fires a beam at the stack causing it to tumble and Fang falls to the ground. Fang looks to see his weapons only a few feet away from him and starts crawling to them until he suddenly stops to see Klaw standing next to him.
Klaw: You really thought you could just leave me, like mom and dad did to us, and just start a new life? Become a daddy? Get a clean slate, that ain't how it works. We are survivors because we only need ourselves. We're not like everyone else.
Fang: (weakly) You're wrong, Klaw. I'm nothing like you.
Klaw: Sure ya are. You just don't know it yet.
Klaw then slams his foot on Fang's arm, causing a crackling sound as Fang yells out in pain.
Klaw: See you soon, brother.
As Fang's sight goes blurry he sees a woman with amber eyes as she picks him up. At first, he wonders if this is Blake, Sienna, or someone else entirely.
Fang is seen in a hospital bed as Bleu and Sky sit in chairs in his room while Ivan leans against the doorframe. Ivan then turns to see the Huntsman from the Beacon dance standing by the hallway entrance as he nudges his head telling him to come over. Ivan walks over to the Huntsman as they remove their mask.
Ivan: Who are you and what do you want?
?: My name is Crimson Vane and I wanted to speak with you about an incident but I suppose now isn't a good time?
Ivan looks back at Fang resting in the bed and then back at Crimson.
Ivan: Maybe another time if that's ok?
Crimson: Yes, of course. But I'm also here on behalf of Professor Ozpin.
Crimson pulls out a letter addressed to Ivan, Sky, Bleu, and Fang.
Crimson: He said that when the time is right, you can all open it.
Crimson hands the letter to Ivan.
Crimson: When you're ready to talk, give me a call.
Ivan: Sure thing.
Crimson: Have a good rest of your night.
Ivan: You too.
Ivan returns to Fang's room and sees Bleu holding his hand.
Ivan: (To himself) I'm so sorry for you bud. I know your pain all too well.
Back At White Fang Hideout
Klaw enters the main tent to be greeted by Adam Taurus, Cinder Fall, Neopolitan, Emerald Sustrai, and Mercury Black.
Adam: So I take it that your family reunion went according to plan?
Klaw: Oh, yes it did. And to see the look on Fang's face was priceless when he came looking for the one who killed his "Daughter". Now that he'll be too distracted with mourning her, your plan won't have anyone snooping around.
Cinder: That is good to hear. Now, how about we get back on track?
