Chapter 1: Birth of a Mutant

Izuku was walking through the halls of UA, he had been back only a few days after his internship with Gran Torino, as well as the whole ordeal with the Hero Killer Stain. All-Might wanted to talk to him about something involving OFA so he went to his mentor's personal room. He goes to the room and knocks on the door as All-Might allows him to enter. When he enters he sees not only his master, but also a man and a blonde teen. The man has green and yellow hair, a pair of glasses, is tall and slim, is wearing a white suit and has fair skin.
"All-Might who are these people?" Izuku asks with curiosity.
"The young man here is Mirio Togata, one of UA's big three and the other is my former sidekick, Sir Nighteye" All-Might answers as the two guests wave at the green haired boy. "Before you say anything, they both know about One For All Young Midoriya" the symbol of peace stated, causing Izuku to sigh in relief as he was nervous that neither had knowledge of his master's/his quirk.
"So what did you guys wanna talk about?" Izuku asked with curiosity as he sat down on one of the chairs next to Togata, the blonde male having a face that conveyed regret but as to why Izuku didn't know.
"Straight to the point, good. We want you to give Mirio OFA" Nighteye says, his voice showing no emotion nor empathy in crushing Izuku's dreams at the OFA user just stared at the former sidekick as he processed the information
"WHAT, but All-Might gave me One For All, why do I need to give it up?" Izuku question
"You were never meant to be the ninth holder, Mirio was supposed to have it before the he met you. I am seeing that he corrects his mistake" Nighteye bluntly states
"But All-might said–" Izuku shot back only to be interrupted by ex sidekick
"What All-Might said doesn't matter now, you not only lack control but you constantly throw yourself in harm's way, such as the sports festival and the incident with the hero killer" Nighteye says as he crosses his arms as Izuku stood up and looked him dead on.
"So what, I was just supposed to let Iida die? Or let Todoroki only use half his quirk, I am his friend and I was helping him" Izuku shot back as he was beginning to lose his cool, something that he rarely did.
"It was the Todoroki boys' choice to not use his fire, not to mention it was probably a family matter so you should've stayed out of it. As for the brother of Ingenium, he chose to face the hero killer alone, his death would've been his own fault" Nighteye shot back, his face conveyed no empathy or remorse again. Izuku gritted his teeth
"You can't be serious, why would you say such a thing?" The boy looked at his former master. "All-Might you can't be serious? You chose me as your successor, you choose whether or not I get to keep One For All"
"I-I have made my decision. Izuku, please give me back One For All so I can give it to Mirio" All-Might said as Izuku looked on in pain. He couldn't believe it, All-Might his master, his idol, the first person outside his family to give him HOPE told him to have the power All-Might gave him to someone else all because Izuku was following in All-Might's footsteps. He looked down, heartbroken, as he booked it out the door as he ran away to try and process this. He eventually ran to the main entrance of the school to try and clear his head as he slumped down a tree within the front yard.
"First I learn that I'm quirkless, then my best friend belittles and bullies me and now when my life is finally turning around god backhands me with a semi-truck at mach five, why can't I catch a break". Izuku says as he looks up into the sky/tree, only to see a girl in some sort of ninja uniform staring back at him hanging upside down in the tree. The suit was made up of black cloth that covered her body from the neck down as she had bits of armor on her shoulders and thighs as well as parts that went around her entire body on her chest, forearms and shins as well as a short-sword sheathed to her waist. Her hair was a dark brown but Izuku could tell it was dyed from, what he could gather, natural blonde hair as two short unmade braids laid at the sides. She also had light brown eyes as well as some red lipstick on.
"Geeze talk about a sad story, almost had me crying for a moment" She says as she jumps down making almost no sound as she hits the ground "well, almost".
'Man she's cute' "Who are you?" Izuku asked as he got up to look at the girl head on, who was only about an inch taller than him. She stuck out her left hand for a hand shake "Karai, a pleasure to meet you in person Izuku Midoriya" Izuku shook her hand as he didn't fully process her knowing his name for a moment before it dawned on him.
"I'm assuming you know my name from the sports festival?" Izuku asked as he rubbed the back of his head
"Yup, gotta say your power was impressive, never seen anything like it. Kinda sad you're gonna lose it but hey not my call" the girl named Karai answered as Izuku wondered what she meant by that.
"Uh, what do yo-" he was cut off when she punched him in the face, knocking the teenager unconscious. Karai then grabbed the teen before throwing him over her shoulder.
"Took you long enough" the voice of a man said as Rahzar, formerly Chris Bradfor, jumps down from the front gates of UA highschool. "Did you really try to befriend this kid?"
"What, father wants this kid to join us after he mutates him. I was just trying to make smalltalk, besides we couldn't risk the kid activating his quirk, you saw what he did during the sports festival." Karai shot back. They had watched the sports festival not only to get some form of entertainment but also to look for possible allies. They had seen what Izuku's quirk was capable of during his fight with the Todoroki kid and they didn't wanna risk him using it here.
"YOUNG MIDORIYA" the two members of the foot clan looked over to see the symbol of peace as well as two more individuals. Before anyone could react, Karai through down a smoke bomb, causing a purple cloud of dust to form and allowing them to escape. All-Might charged forward to try and stop them but was unsuccessful in catching them. All-Might gritted his teeth, not only did he lose his successor but the last thing he said to him was to give up on his dream and hand over One For All to someone else.
SEVERAL HOURS LATER - Foot Clan Stronghold - Musutafu, Japan
Izuku woke up to find himself in chains over some container of a strange liquid, a combo of blue and green, what it is he has no idea. He looks forward, seeing the same girl from before as well as some new people. Around him were what looked like people in ninja costumes but Izuku could tell by their eyes that they were most likely robots. One was some sorta dog looking thing straight outta hell (Rahzar), the other was a fish on robot legs (Fishface), a bipedal tiger man who looked like an assassin (Tigerclaw), and two semi normal people.
One was a black man with an afro on his head, he wore a purple shirt, blue jeans and a pear of circular glasses, he also had what looked like a bomb collar on with vials fo whatever was beneath him inside (Baxtor Stockman). The other was a guy who, if Izuku had to guess, was the leader of these people, with a set of metallic gauntlets, shin guards, shoulder pads and chestplate. He also had a pair of brown paints and a dark blue cape. He had a helmet that covered his entire head with a mouthplate, the top was adorned with three spikes, two going out straight before curving upwards.(Shredder).
Shredder: good, the boy is awake
Izuku: Your helmet, I've heard rumors of it on the internet, it's the kuro kabuto isn't it? From the Foot Clan over in America.
Shredder:(surprised) I'm surprised you've heard of it, for one so young
Izuku: when you're quirkless for most of your life, you tend to pick up a few hobbies. So then, mind telling me why I'm here?
Shredder: I am the Shredder and we have gathered some intel regarding what you truly are, ninth user of One For All
Izuku was shocked that they figured this out, how exactly did they figure it out?
Izuku: What do you have to gain from me having One For All?
Tigerclaw: he does not deny it
Shredder: hush Tigerclaw *turns to Izuku* There is a villain here who we intend to make a partnership with and what better way to do that than getting rid of the one thing that can stop him
Izuku: who are yo-
?: well hello there little hero
Izuku turned to his right to see the one person he didn't want to see, Tomura Shigaraki and Kurogiri of the League of Villains.
Izuku: Tomura Shigaraki
Tomura: glad to see you remember me
Izuku: answer me this Shredder, Karai mentioned how I won't have my quirk anymore but since you know what One For All is then you know it can't be stolen, right?
"We don't intend to steal it, we intend to destroy it." Shredder explains before he gestures to the liquid below Izuku. "The liquid beneath your feet is called 'mutagen'. It comes from an alternate world but it has very unique properties, one of which is the destruction of the quirk gene that gives you your powers" Izuku was shocked to say the least, this liquid could somehow get rid of quirks, just where the hell did this stuff come from.
"But doesn't All For One want to steal OFA?" Izuku asked the ninja. "Whilst he prefers to have had it in his hands he is more than fine with destroying it" Shredder states before he looks at Stockman "do it"
"Yes master Shredder" Stockman says, fear clearly present in his voice, as he presses a few buttons as the bottom of Izuku cage gives way and he falls into the pool of mutagen. As Izuku disappears into the liquid his body begins to change as he feels his bones snap, twist and grow in certain places as he feels his chest getting heavier, his limbs get longer and his teeth sharpen. Not even a minute later the mutagen empties out and he falls on the grounds, his clothes having been torn to shreds due to his transformation.
Shredder grabs the collar of Stockman's shirt before getting in his face "what did you do Stockman?". "Well the Kraang have mentioned how they have had problems with a crocodilian mutant named 'leatherhead' who is strong in the physical sense and this boy is incredibly smart. So I thought, why not combine the two and get the best of both worlds/" Stockman told his master. Shredder had to admit it wasn't a half bad idea, the boy had already proven to be smart he instantly recognised his helmet and the Kraang have been mentioning the crocodile for some time now.
"Then why is the former man now a woman" Fishface/Xever Montes stated as Shredder let go of Stockman before looking at Izuku to see that he was now a female, at least appearance wise. The former student of UA has crocodilian scales on his shins and forearms with three short white spikes for each arm. The woman's hands look like normal hands but on closer inspection they had razor sharp claws on them. The woman's hair was not only longer than her non-mutated counterpart but its color went from darker green to a more moss-like color with two bangs on the side of her face, the one on the right having a much darker version of her green hair on it. The most notable feature of her mutation was her crocodilian tail in the end as well as her new 'assets' as her flesh now had a sizable pair of boobs that put most grown adults to shame. It also didn't help that his shirt was completely unbuttoned, most likely due to his chest snapping them all off, as they just hung to the sides of his body. His pants meanwhile had some holes along the frames with them very obviously being too small for the woman's new body with her shoes being non-existent at this point. "Well Stockman, do you have an answer to that?" Shredder asked
"Well I got my DNA sample from a female specimen, maybe that's the issue, mutagen is unpredictable." Stockman gave a half-assed answer, it's not like Shredder cared for boy turned girl but there wasn't much they could do now. "That was a shitty answer" Shigaraki said as Shredder jumped down to the floor as he approached the girl who began backing away from Shredder.
"What the hell did you do to me?" Izuku's voice rang out as, whilst he LOOKED like a woman, his voice was still that of a young man. The foot clan leader also got a looker as her eyes which now have a black slit in its center. Shredder simply walked forward, fully confident in his abilities to take down the woman. Izuku held up one of his like he did during his fight with Todoroki "did you already forget, you don't have that power anymore boy, all you will do is–" Shredder was cut off when he noticed the green lightning arc around her body before she flicked her finger at him, unleashing a massive gust of wind that slammed him into one of the pillars of the warehouse they were using. Everyone looked at Shredder in shock as Izuku simply looked down at her hand before she looked back at Shredder as he was being surrounded by his men.
"I THOUGHT YOU SAID IT WOULD DESTROY HIS QUIRK?" Tiger Claw yelled at Stockman. "I dunno, maybe since the quirk wasn't his originally maybe it was fine". "Well, don't just stand there, GET HER" Shredder ordered as he got out from the wall. Tigerclaw, Rahzar, Fishface, Karai and the foot bots all charge at Izuku as she charges up OFA at 5% before zipping towards a nearby wall and clinging to it with her new claw.
"Holy shit this new body is amazing" Izuku thought as she turned to see lasers flying at her as she dodges them all before one of her left leg is struck with a beam and is encased in ice. She quickly charges up about 10% and easily breaks out of it before charging at Rahzar and socking him in the gut as he crashes into Fishface.
She then begins to dodge some sword slashes from some foot bots before crushing their heads, oil now leaking out of them as she is hit in the back by a laser, courtesy of Tiger Claw, before being slammed into the ground by Rahzar. Izuku manages to get out of his grip before throwing him into Tiger Claw before the robots throw chains around Izuku's limbs, each one of them emanating a quirk canceling field that prevents the usage of OFA.
She tried to break out only to get punched in the gut by Shredder "you have become more of a nuisance than I thought". Shredder raises one of his claws only for his attention to be drawn to something else as someone screams
"BOOYAKASHA" A group of people begin to attack Shredder and his men, allowing Izuku to grab hold of one of the chains, breaking free and stopping the quirk canceling effect. Izuku powers up OFA as she jumps into the air and onto one of the rafters in the ceiling. She began to overlook the battle as she saw four turtles, a teenage redhead, a boy with two hockey sticks and a ski mask (Casey Jones) and a rat man in a red robe (Splinter).
The turtle with a bow staff was fighting Tiger Claw, the one with dual katanas was duelingKArai, nunchucks was fighting Rahzar, the dude with the sai's fighting with Fishface, the two humans were facing the minions whilst the rat-man was fighting Shigaraki and Shredder
Splinter: you dare bring a child into this fight Saki?
Shigaraki: like your one to talk
Shredder: like I give a care. The boy was a means to an end you rat
Izuku, not exactly thrilled about being talked about in such a way, descends from the roof before punching Shredder in the face and, subsequently, into the ground. Izuku looked up and proceed to dodge Shigaraki's hand as she stood side by side with the rat
Izuku: Izuku, Izuku Midoriya
Splinter: call me Splinter
The two mutants charge at Shigaraki as Izuku throws a haymaker at his chest before Splinter hits a few pressure points on him and knocks him out. The other people that came with Splinter soon group around the two before the turtle with an orange headband throws a smoke grenade on the ground, allowing them all to escape. Karai goes to help her father out of the crater only for her hand to be swatted away.
Shredder: do not let them escape fools, GO
IN THE SEWERS
Izuku is currently following her saviors within the sewers of whatever city she was in, she had no idea which one but it didn't look like Musutafu. She used her arms to cover her chest as, y'know, her shirt was ruined. She looked down at the ground as she started to think about her new form, about her "mentor", about her friends, about her family. Her getting lost in her own mind caused her to walk into something, that being the turtle with a bow staff
Donatello: Hey, you okay?
Izuku: yeah just, thinking I guess
Donatello: you wanna talk it uhh
Izuku: Izuku Midoriya
Donatello: Donatello
Casey: Are you sure you should be talking to her? Shredder did want to make her a pawn in his game
Raphael: HEY
Casey: What, I'm just saying
Leonardo: well it was uncalled for and Izuku was a dude before being mutated, have some respect *turns to Izuku* I apologize for his behavior, I'm Leonardo
Ralph: Raphael
Mikey: Michelangelo
April: April O'Neil
Casey: Casey, Casey Jones
Donnie: and you already know my name
Splinter: As mentioned in the warehouse I am Master Splinter, I am the father of all the turtles
Izuku: So you named your sons after renaissance painters?
Splinter: indeed
"That's cool, anywayI am Izuku Midoriya, well I guess was would be the better term considering what I am now" Izuku says, gesturing to her new figure. "I was part of UA's hero course over in Musutafu Japan"
"Oh yeah, you were the kid with the quirk who broke his bones. Kinda surprised you have control of it now" Donnie mentions having taken notes on all the kids during the sports festival.
"Whats someone from Japan doing in New York" Ralph mentions
"New York, as in New York City?" Izuku asks
"Yup, we're currently leading you back to our lair mostly to do a check up on you to see just what the mutagen did to you" Leo states as Izuku's worries skyrockets. First she was going to lose her quirk, then he was kidnapped by the league, then he became a girl and NOW she learns that she's been taken halfway across the world.
"Why exactly did they want you anyway, they seemed pretty viament in getting you here if you are from Japan" April asks. Izuku pondered not telling them about One For All and upholding All-Might's secret but at this point she could care less. As of now All-Might was dead to her and she had NO intention of returning One For All to him
"My quirk is "special" in a way as it wasn't originally my own. The quik I hold is called 'One For All' having been passed down eight generations before me, All-Might being the eight holder of OFA. They were making an allegiance with the league of villains who's master, All For One, has a hatred for having accidentally created the quirk centuries ago. AFO has a quirk that allows him to steal people's quirk, the quirk is also the same as his villain name. The Foot Clan were gonna try to destroy my quirk in order to become partners with the league by using mutagen but it appears that didn't work." Izuku says, taking a moment to catch her breath and allow everyone to digest what she said.
"All-Might's sidekick, Sir Nighteye, confronted All-Might about me being worthy and convinced him that I should give it up to someone else. I ran away in anger when I found out which led to an encounter with a girl named Karai. And the rest is history." Izuku finished off her story as a few tears rolled down the sides of her face.
"Oh you poor thing" April did her best to hug Izuku, even though the reptilian girl towered over due to Izuku being at least six and a half feet tall. It also didn't help that April was very short, just barely pushing over five feet (she's 5'1") so this resulted in April's face practically being in Izuku's chest.
"Thanks O'Neil" Izuku hugged the smaller girl
"Just call me April, we're all friends here" April says back as they all continue their way to the lair. On their way there, she was surprised to see them enter some sort of massive vehicle which Donnie called the 'Shellraiser', a heavily modified NYC train car now used as the turtles main form of transportation across New York. When they got to the lair itself it was surprisingly spacious as they had used an abandoned train station as their home (how the Foot Clan didn't find them is beyond Izuku but she isn't complaining).
The lair's main room was the team's living room which had a couch, box TV, bean bag chairs, a pinball machine and a dummy hanging off of a stand with several ninja shurikens stuck in it. To her right was what seemed to be the team's dojo with a massive tree in the center, green walls with one of them having some shelves hanging off of it with some personal belongings on it, presumably belonging to Splinter.
To her left was what appeared to be a laboratory, presumably used by Donnie. The lab has both high tech equipment such as computers and other things Izuku can't identify as well as some chemical based equipment like beakers, test tubes and canisters of mutagen. There was also a hallway across the room which was most likely the turtle's personal rooms.
Izuku: man, this lair is bigger than I thought
"I have a few boxes in my lab that have some clothes in it, you can use them seeing as we don't use them and, y'know, you need them more than we do." Donnie says as he gestures to Izuku's torn t-shirt causing Izuku to rub the back of her head. Izuku walked off to the lab before closing the door behind her. As she opens the boxes of clothes and begins to skin through them so she can change
Mikey: she's nice
Ralph: you think just about anyone who helps us is nice
Mikey: NO I DON'T
Leo: Aside from that, Izuku is clearly on my side so why try and recruit her, any ideas master?
"Why the Shredder thought about recruiting her is beyond me; however we cannot allow her to fall into their hands, especially if this "League of Villains" group is now one of their allies. Donnatello, do you have any information on them" Splinter turns to Donnatelo as the turtle pulls out his 'shell-phone'
"The League is a Japanese based group of villains who attack the USJ, a training joint belonging to the prestigious UA High School which is also in Japan. Their two known members were Tomura Shigaraki, who can decay people with his hands, and the villain Kurogiri, who can open up warp gates. They are also speculations to the Hero Killer: Stain relation to the group as well but they are only theories." Donnie says.
"So what do we do? We don't exactly have a way to get her to Japan without the foot OR the league finding her." Ralph says as he leans against a pillar. "We also can't leave her on the streets of New York, especially with her having no idea how this part of the world works."
"Raphael is, besides I believe I have a better solution to our problem" Splinter says gaining everyone's attention. "I believe it would be most effective if we were to recruit Izuku to our cause"
"WHAT" everyone unanimously screams
"As much as I don't like bringing a complete stranger into our midst, having someone of Izuku's caliber would be useful to us. If what the Shredder said about her intelligence is true then she would be very valuable to us." Splinter suggested
"Do you think that's why they wanted her?" April asked
"It's a possibility though you never know with him. Not to mention her power was enough to overwhelm the Shredder even when she has no ninja training" Splinter said. He was right, with Shredder's ninja skills and his quirk that increased his reflexes (though he rarely uses it because he has a superiority/inferiority complex that makes Bakugou look tame) it made it nigh impossible to beat him yet Izuku managed to hit him with her quirk.
Casey: it was impressive, the dude was thrown halfway across the building
Mikey: yeah it was awesome
Izuku: what was awesome
They all look to the lab to see Izuku leaning against the lab door in a new set of clothes. She wore a pair of navy blue jeans, a black leather jacket, black cowboy boots and a black shirt that went where her chest met her torso. She was unable to find a bra in the pile of clothes and the shirt she was wearing was, unfortunately, the only one that fit her new size. She also had to tear a hole in the back of the jeans for her new tail.
Ralph: nice get-up
Izuku: thanks
Leo: we were talking about how you took down Shredder as well as a some other things like a–
"A place to live in order to avoid the league and the foot" Izuku interrupted. "Sorry I overheard some of the conversation whilst I was changing" Izuku said as she rubbed the back of her head.
Splinter: so, I assume you have made a decision
Izuku:*shrugs* not like I got much of a choice considering I'm stuck here, besides I don't think they'll let me back in with all of this having happened *she gestures to her new form*
"Well then Mrs. Midoriya, welcome to the family" Splinter extends a hand to the crocodile girl
"Pleasure to be a part of it, and please call me Izuku, we are family after all" Izuku shook the rat ninja's hand
