Hello everyone. Back with another chapter of Naruto: Modern Warfare.
The cargo ship mission has been approved. Bravo Team heads out to assault a cargo ship that may be carrying something suspicious. What is it? Read ahead, and you shall find out.
It was a dark and stormy night. A lone MH-60 Blackhawk helicopter was flying towards its target through the violent weather that was native to the Pacific Ocean. On board the Blackhawk was an 8-man SAS squad tasked with assaulting a cargo ship carrying a suspicious package through the Bering Strait, just another routine spec op.
When Gaz heard about Soap beating his record, he went ballistic for a few seconds before laughing it off with Soap. Right now, the team was on board the helicopter heading towards the cargo ship. The team consisted of Captain Price, Gaz, Naruto (who goes by Fox on while on missions), Soap, Sgt. Wallcroft, Lance Corporal Griffen, Trooper Lawson(AN: CoD just generates random names for different soldiers who aren't main characters. If that isn't a British name, don't blame me), and Sgt. Lovejoy. Most of the team was equipped with MP5SD3 submachine guns and a USP .45 with a LAM and a suppressor. Price and Gaz were equipped with suppressed M4A1 carbines, with Gaz having a Winchester Model 1200 shotgun.
"Bravo Team," Price informs the team, "The intel on this op comes directly from our informant in Russia. The package is aboard a medium freighter, Estonian registration number 52775… There is a small crew and a security detail on board."
"Rules of engagement sir?" Gaz asked.
"Crew expendable," Price said coldly.
"Crew Expendable"

Somewhere near the Bering Strait
2nd Lt. Naruto "Fox" Uzumaki
22nd SAS Regiment
"Baseplate, this is Hammer 2-4. We have a visual on the target. ETA 60 seconds."
"Copy, 2-4," Baseplate responded to the pilot's callsign.
Naruto was sitting next to Soap, while Price was sitting across from them smoking a cigar and Lovejoy was sitting on edge of the helicopter. The rest of the team was sitting on the other side of the helicopter. Soon they could see lights and the silhouette of the cargo ship.
"30 seconds. Going dark."
The helicopter flies alongside the ship.
"10 seconds. Radio check. Go to secure channel."
Price tosses his cigar out of the helicopter and orders everyone, "Lock and load."
Everyone puts on their gas masks and readies their weapons. The helicopter pulls up near the bridge of the ship.
"Greenlight! Go, go, go!" the pilot orders. Lovejoy, Price, Soap, and Naruto rappel down from the rope towards the bridge.
"Weapons free," Price ordered as all four fired their weapons on the unsuspecting crew. Thanks to their suppressors, the rest of the crew onboard didn't hear the shots.
"Bridge secure," Naruto said.
"Hold your fire!" Price ordered, "Gaz – stay in the bird until we secure the deck, over."
"Roger that."
Naruto and Lovejoy get the door open and enter with Soap and Price following them.
"Squad on me," Price ordered. Everyone lined up behind him. "Stairs clear!"
They went to the hallway and saw a drunken crew member will a bottle of vodka in his hand, mumbling some drunken nonsense. He looked at them and drunkenly asked them to surrender. Soap pulls out his pistol and ends the bastard by putting a bullet through his head.
"Bottoms up," Soap said.
"Hallway clear!" Price said.
Naruto moves to the crew quarters, takes out a kunai knife and slits the throats of the two unfortunate sleeping crew members.
"Sleep tight. Crew quarters clear!" Naruto informs them, then they head outside.
"Move up," Price orders.
"Forward deck is clear! Green light on alpha, go!"
Gaz, Wallcroft, Griffen, and Lawson rappel down from the Blackhawk and regroups up with the others.
"Ready sir," Gaz informs Price.
"Fan out. Three-meter spread."
They spread out. Gaz notices two guards on the roof who somehow didn't notice the helicopter over the ship. Guess the storm helped to cover their approach.
"Got two on the platform," Gaz says on the radio.
"I see 'em," Price replies.
Griffen and Wallcroft take them out with ease.
"Two tangos down," Wallcroft says.
They reach the next deck of the ship, when suddenly they start taking fire. They head for cover.
"We got company sir," Soap informs Price.
"Hammer 2-4, we got tangos on the 2nd floor."
"Copy, engaging."
Hammer 2-4 came up the 2nd deck and fired its port side minigun. It mows down the security forces until it eventually hit something explosive, creating an explosion. The remaining security forces bellow deck would have heard that and knew that they were under attack.
"Bravo 6, Hammer is at bingo fuel. We're bugging out. Big Bird will be on station for evac in 10."
"Copy Hammer," Price acknowledged the pilot as Hammer 2-4 took off. "Griffen, Wallcroft, Lovejoy, cover our six. The rest of you, on me."
"Roger that," Gaz replies.
"Copy that," Naruto acknowledges.
"Yes sir," Soap lines up at the door with Lawson.
Griffen, Wallcroft, and Lovejoy remain on deck to cover the team. Gaz pulls out his shotgun.
"I like to keep this for close encounters."
"Too right, mate," Lawson tells Gaz, jealous that he wasn't given a shotgun.
"On my mark," Price ordered as he opens the door, "go. Check those corners!"
"Soap, with me," Naruto tells Soap, "We'll check the end of the hallway."
"Roger that, Fox," Soap replied.
"Clear left," Gaz says.
"Clear right," Lawson informs.
Soap and Naruto go down the hall and find no one there.
"Hallway clear!" Soap informs them as they regroup.
"Move up!"
They head deeper into the ship.
"Stairs clear!" Soap calls out.
"Movement right," Lawson points out.
Three enemy soldiers open fire on them. The team takes them out quickly.
"Three tangos down," Naruto reports.
"Hallway clear! Move up! Check those corners!"
They get to the hallway intersection.
"Clear left," Lawson reports.
"Clear right," Soap reports.
They stack up on the door to the cargo hold. Naruto leans out, but immediately pulls back when he's met with hostile fire.
"Multiple tangos in the cargo hold. They definitely don't want us looking for the package," Naruto told them.
Price takes out a flashbang, "Copy that. Standby, on my go." Price tosses the flashbang through the door. It goes off, blinding the enemy, and they go down the stairs and eliminate the hostiles.
"Two tangos down," Lawson confirms.
"Forward area clear," Gaz responds.
"Catwalk clear," Soap confirms.
"Move up! Keep it tight. Fox, take point."
"Roger," Naruto acknowledges. He checks his corners around the crates looking for hostiles, when suddenly a hostile with a chrome-plated Desert Eagle ambushes him. Naruto quickly dispatches him with his Taijutsu he's refined over the years. He grabs the guy's Desert Eagle and puts a bullet through his brain, keeping the oversized hand cannon as a war trophy.
"Tango down. Took his Desert Eagle, it's mine. I'll fight you!" Naruto tells them.
"Dammit. I always wanted one," said Soap.
"Alright you cheeky bastards, cut the chatter and stack up," Price orders them to knock it off.
Once they're ready, they open the door and headed up to the catwalk.
"Movement right," Lawson points out. Multiple enemy guards come out and fire from across the catwalk.
"Return fire!" They open fire and eliminate the hostiles. They are about to go down the catwalk when they take more fire from enemies taking cover behind some crates. Naruto pulls a frag grenade out from his belt.
"Grenade out!" Naruto yells as he pulls the pin and throws it. Three seconds later, the grenade exploded. Some of the hostiles are dead, others severely wounded. Naruto pulls how his newly acquired Deagle and puts them out of their misery.
"Forward area clear!"
"Stack up!"
They stack at the door.
"One ready," said Gaz.
"Two ready," Lawson stacks up.
"Three ready," Soap replies.
"Four ready," Naruto says.
Price tosses a flashbang, "On my mark – go!"
They move to the next area and eliminate all remaining hostile forces with speed, aggression, and surprise; and that's why they're called the SAS.
"Tango down," Lawson reports.
"Report – all clear?" Price asks.
"Roger that," Gaz responds.
"All clear, sir," Soap responds.
Naruto just nods. They then spread out to search for the package. Gaz takes a look at the Geiger counter he brought. It started ticking faster when they got near a crate near the back.
"I'm getting a strong reading sir. You might wanna take a look at this," Gaz tells Price.
Lawson pulls out a crowbar and pries open the container, only for the container to reveal what looks to be a nuclear device.
"Steaming Jesus," mutters Soap.
"It's a fucking nuke, believe it!" exclaims Naruto.
"Hmm… it's in Arabic," Price notices as he turns on his radio. "Baseplate, this is Bravo 6. We've found it. Ready to secure package for transport."
"No time, Bravo 6. Two bogeys headed your way fast. Grab what you can and get the hell outta there."
"Fast movers. Probably MiGs. We'd better go," Gaz replied with urgency. Those MiGs were probably escorts for the cargo ship, and since everyone on board was dead, they assumed the worst. Now they were probably coming to see what's going on.
"Soap, grab the manifest in the container. Move," Price ordered.
Soap went in the container and grabbed the manifest, putting it in a waterproof pocket in his webgear.
"Got it!" Soap informed.
"Alright – everyone topside! Double time!" Price ordered as they made their way out. "Griffen, Wallcroft, Lovejoy what's your status?"
"Already in the helicopter sir. Enemy aircraft inbound… Shit! They've opened fire! Get out of there! Now!"
As soon as Griffen said they've opened fire, an explosion rocked the ship causing the team to fall to the ground.
"Bravo 6 come in!" Big Bird came on the radio, "Bravo 6 what's your status?!"
"Shit! What the hell happened?!" Lawson exclaimed.
They then started to feel wet as water was now pouring in through the giant hole the MiGs made. The MiGs fired anti-ship missiles into the ship to prevent anyone from finding out about the nuke.
"The ship's sinking!" Gaz realized, "We've got to go now!"
"Bravo 6, come in, dammit!" Big Bird exclaimed on the radio.
"Big Bird, this is Bravo 6 we're on our way out!" Price helped Soap up, "On your feet, soldier! We are leaving! Get to the catwalks! Move, move, move!"
"Move your asses! Come on, let's go!" Gaz urged.
They were running across the catwalks when suddenly more water started bursting in, causing them to lose their balance.
"Back on your feet! Let's go!" Price told them.
The whole ship started falling apart, with parts of the ceiling falling near the catwalks.
"Watch yer head!" Lawson warned.
"Go! Go! Keep moving!" Soap told them. Not long after the catwalk was starting to collapse.
"It's breaking away!" Naruto exclaimed.
"Come on, come on!" Price yelled.
They made it to the hallways where pipes were starting to burst. The ship had taken on a lot of water.
"Watch the pipes!" Gaz warned them.
"Talk to me Bravo 6, where the hell are you?!" Big Bird asked worryingly.
"Stand by, we're almost there!" Price told Big Bird. They made to the stairs.
"Which way?!" Naruto asked frantically, "Which way to the helicopter?!"
"To the right! To the right!" Price told them.
"We're running outta time! Come on! Let's go!" Gaz yelled.
They came outside to see that the ship was now leaning dangerously close on its starboard side to the ocean waves.
"Keep moving!" Price ordered.
"Where the hell is it?!" Soap asked.
They turned right to see an MH-47 Chinook helicopter, callsign Big Bird, hovering over the ship. Griffen, Wallcroft, and Lovejoy were already aboard. Most of the group makes it aboard. Naruto sees Soap still on the ship.
"JUMP FOR IT!" Naruto yelled out to Soap.
Soap jumped with half of his body dangling out of back of the helicopter, but then he started feeling gravity pulling him down as he started to slip.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck! Not today!" Soap thought desperately. Captain Price and Naruto leapt and grabbed his arms!
"Gotcha!" they both said, with Naruto adding his signature, "Believe it!"
"We're all aboard! Go!" Price ordered the pilot.
"Roger that, we're outta here!" Big Bird acknowledged.
They all looked at the cargo ship up in flames as it sunk to the bottom of Bering Strait. Hopefully US government will send a clean up crew to deal with the nuke so no one will be eating irradiated Alaskan crab legs.
"Baseplate, this is Big Bird. Package secure, returning to base. Out."
Soap flopped down on one of the helicopter seats.
"Wow," Soap thought, "My first mission in the SAS, and I survived. I better write this down." Soap took out his journal and started writing down in it.
Naruto noticed this and asked, "You write down missions in a journal too?"
Soap looked up to him and nodded. Naruto then put on a foxy grin.
"I knew we were gonna be fast friends, believe it!"
They then fist bumped each other.
"Not bad, Soap," Price told him, "Consider this your baptism by fire. Welcome to the Regiment, Sergeant."
"Thank you, sir," Soap responded.
With that out of the way, they headed back to SAS Headquarters in Hereford, U.K. for rest and debrief.
