Hey guys, back with another chapter.
Last time, we looked at what was happening in the Village Hidden in the Leaves. We see the rest of the Konoha 12 get ready to depart to the Land of Springs, formerly the Land of Snow. Strange reports of the Akatsuki with the Ultranationalists in a small village.

Anyways, we now return our attention to the Marines, defending the tank known as "War Pig."
"Overlord, this is Lt. Vasquez. War Pig is en route. We're not missing this party… out."
War Pig was the call sign of the now repaired M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank that 1st platoon was tasked with defending while the combat engineers repaired it. This particular tank was manufactured in Lima, Ohio with a price tag between 4.5 and 6 million US dollars. The M1A1 is operated by a crew of four: a commander, gunner, loader, and driver. The tank features a 1500 horsepower gas turbine engine, and steel encased depleted uranium armor. War Pig's main armament is a 120mm smoothbore cannon, and its secondary armament consists of one M2 Browning .50 caliber heavy machine gun, one M240 Charlie coaxial machine gun, and one M240 Delta medium machine gun.

"Lay down suppressing fire on the right flank!"
"MG nest in the wrecked bus!"
"Tracker, Moore, take out those mortar crews!"
"Jackson! Get your ass on the line now! We got hostiles moving in from the North!"
"Red Dog 6, we're clear of the bog," War Pig's commander said, "Thanks for the assist. We'll hold down the left flank and provide supporting fire, out."
War Pig moved out of the bog and onto the road firing its coaxial machine gun at the approaching Lion's Sword soldiers launching a counterattack.
"Mortar crews are down!" Urban Tracker called out on the comms, letting the platoon know they were clear to move up. They began to move up the bog.
"Right flank!" Harmer called out, "They're moving in on the right flank!"
The Marines on the right flank quickly dealt with the OpFor attacking. Moore noticed two Mi-8 Hip helicopters flying in: one from the East and one from the West.
"Enemy air assault!" Moore called out on the radio, "Get ready! They're moving on both our flanks!"
"Grab an RPG and take out those choppers!" Vasquez ordered.
"Roger that!" Manta Ray replied, "Sightseer, with me! Grab an RPG from the side of the bus! Jackson, give us some cover!"
"On it!" Jackson and Hisakata replied.
Manta Ray and Hisakata opened fire on a few Lion's Sword soldiers attacking before grabbing two RPG-7 launchers. The two Mi-8s stopped and let down ropes to allow OpFor reinforcements to land. They lined up the choppers in their sights and fired the rockets. They hit their targets with the choppers spinning out of control. A few unfortunate enemy troops fell out of the helicopters and fell to their deaths.
"Nice work, girls," Jackson complimented.
The platoon regrouped as War Pig rolled over a few cars that were blocking the gate to the streets. War Pig moved up the street a little before stopping.
"Uh, Red Dog 6, possible ambush area up front. We'll, uh, move up when you clear the area ahead of us, over."
The buildings up ahead were crawling with the Lion's Sword. Very good spots to set up an ambush.
"Watch for silhouettes on the rooftops!" Vasquez ordered as the Marines began to open fire on any Lion's Sword soldiers that showed up to ambush them from the buildings. Overhead, a pair of F-15 Eagles flew by to provide air cover somewhere in the city.
"Marines, stand clear," War Pig's commander said, "We're gonna get some rounds in those buildings."
"Up!"
"Gunner! Three-story building! 11 o'clock! 2nd floor!"
"Target acquired!"
"Fire!"
War Pig fired a high explosive tank round into the building. Anyone in that room that was fired on did not survive. Any unfortunate Marines that were near the tank when it fired had their ears ringing from the very loud noise of the tank cannon firing. The tank continued to lay down fire on some of the buildings while the Marines entered the flanking buildings to clear them out.
3rd squad was on the left flank entering a building through a small shop. There was a hole in the wall that acted as a connection for enemy troops to move in between buildings. With each room, they first threw a flashbang then cleared out the room. This was to ensure that no surviving Lion's Sword soldier could ambush their flank while they were clearing the rest of the building. As Hisakata went up the stairs, she saw a Lion's Sword soldier peek his head out before closing the door. She activated her Byakugan and saw said soldier was armed with a Mini-Uzi SMG prepared to fire blindly at the Marines. She quickly dispatched him with a few bullets at the door, with his corpse falling out of the room. Manta Ray had come up behind Hisakata along with Shadow and Spokes. They stacked up along the hall outside a room with Lion's Sword soldiers. Hisakata threw a flashbang into the room. It went off, disorienting the enemy troops for a bit. They went in and cleared it out.
Jackson's squad was doing the exact same thing across the street. Room clearing was a dangerous task that was filled with uncertainty. After clearing out a few more rooms, War Pig's commander came on the comms.
"Red Dog 6, this is War Pig. We clear to, uh… uh we clear to advance, over?"
"Roger that!" Vasquez replied, "Move up and hold position at the bend, over!"
"Roger, movin'."
War Pig moved up the street until it got to the bend and stopped. There were several Lion's Sword soldiers down the street occupying some small shops and a wrecked bus.
"Griggs, Harmer, Ortega, keep them pinned down from here," Vasquez ordered, "Jackson, Lars, we'll go out back and flank 'em from the right."
"Roger that!" Jackson responded, "2nd squad, on me!"
"1st squad, we're Oscar Mike!" Lars ordered his squad.
"They're pulling back!" Griggs noticed, "Stay sharp, it could be a trap!"
"Acknowledged," Vasquez responded. Vasquez, 1st and 2nd squads went down an alley to hit the Lion's Sword soldiers dug in at the end of the street. There they met more enemy troops in a two-story building with a shop on the first floor. Jackson threw a frag grenade at a few OpFor in the courtyard. It sent them scrambling to get away only to either get caught in the blast or were cut down by the Marine's rifle fire. They made their way through the shop out the back and into another alley where there as a machine gun nest waiting for them. Lars and Hampton were behind a dumpster, pushing it forward to provide some cover. Jackson and Vasquez each fired a grenade from their M203s at the machine gun nest before taking out the Lion's Sword soldiers that were hiding behind the cars.
"1st squad, hold up here," Vasquez ordered, "2nd squad, with me inside."
"Oorah!"
Stevens got next to the door, pulled out his M1014 shotgun, and shot off the hinges.
"Breaching, breaching!"
Vasques kicked down the door yelling, "Go, go, go!"
Stevens took point taking out two Lion's Sword soldiers with his shotgun. 2nd squad entered the building and went up the stairs. Park took his team and checked the room where the machine gun nest was. After checking it was clear, they headed out to another room where there was a big hole in the side of the building. It gave a clear view of the Lion's Sword soldiers holed up in the wrecked bus. The Marines opened fire on them, catching them off guard. Jackson then noticed something at the corner of his eye.
"Shit!" Jackson exclaimed, "Enemy tank coming up the road!"
"Get back!" Vasquez barked. Everyone backed out as a T-72 tank with supporting infantry was coming down the road. "War Pig, Red Dog 6! T-72 behind the building at your 10 o'clock! Can you engage, over?!"
"Roger that Red Dog 6," War Pig's commander responded, "I've got him on thermal. Get a SABOT round in that son of a bitch."
"Loading," the loader announced.
"Target acquired," the gunner announced. The T-72 tank started to turn its turret at the building where the Marines were holding out. Everyone held their breath.
"Fire!"
War Pig fired a 120mm SABOT armor piercing shell through a steel door in a building, and the round makes it way to the tank. Once hit, the ammo started to cook off, causing the turret to go flying off in a fire ball, incinerating the crew inside it.
The Marines inside the building cheered as the tank was destroyed. When they saw the approaching infantry, the quickly gunned them down.
"Nice shooting War Pig. Lots of secondaries. Now lets get the hell outta here," Vasquez praised War Pig's crew for their actions. War Pig then crushed a car and pushed the wrecked bus out of the way as it regrouped with the Marines. Griggs, the machine gunners, and 3rd squad followed behind War Pig.
"Roger that Red Dog 6. So, uh… hehehe… are we there yet?" War Pig's commander joked.
"Red Dog 6, this is Overlord. 2nd platoon is moving to rendezvous near location. What's your status, over?"
"Precious cargo is intact and en route," Vasquez replied, "We're near Highway 4 and should make visual contact shortly with 2nd platoon, out."
The platoon rallied and made their way through an alley where several CH-46 Sea Knights and UH-1Y Venoms were landing, and 2nd platoon was waiting.
"Lieutenant Vasquez, this is Outlaw 2-5. The Task Force is moving in to capture Al-Asad. It's all hands on deck for this one, so get on board, over."
"Roger that!" Vasquez responded before turning to 1st platoon, "Marines! We just got a fix on Al-Asad's position! Everyone on board! Let's go!"
The platoon dispersed to board the choppers. Manta Ray and Hisakata went over to Jackson.
"Well, this is where we part ways, girls," Jackson told them.
"Be careful, big brother Paul," Hisakata said to him seriously, like this was the last time she would see him.
"I will, Hisakata," Jackson assured her.
"You better," Manta Ray chimed in, "Otherwise, I will slap the shit out of your dead body."
Jackson chuckled as he bid them farewell as he boarded one of the choppers, callsign Outlaw 2-5. Once the Marines loaded up, they flew off to their target.
Oorah! That's it for this chapter. Sorry if it was a short one, but War Pig isn't really that long of a level, unless you're constantly dying, like I was.
