Chapter 1
The Next Part of the Story

It has been some time since Arthur van Buren has came to this world. He has been through quite a lot. Despite the world being based-on an anime he knew, there have been some significant changes to what has been going on. Now he is in-charge of Rock Valley like Naofumi from The Rising of the Shield Hero with a new landmass from his old, post-apocalyptic world just across the water. He is right now somewhere in his old home that has appeared on this new world as he spawns a human skeleton on a metallic slab. Arthur wave his hand over a special hammer that has a red crystal on it as the hammer starts to emit green flames before pounding on the slab.

"Working on the thing you wanted?" Nephalem, the god spirit in his shield, asks.

Arthur continues to pound, "Right. Already did two animal experiments and you saw the successes."

Earlier, Arthur did the same thing to a skeletal remains of an American bald eagle. He kept hammering as flesh and skin starts to form. Feathers slowly start to form over the skin with green sparks flying onto the new body in order for it all to form. After one big clang from the hammer, the green fires die out. Arthur hunched over and see the newly made bird given flesh yet wait for it to come to life. In two minutes, the bird's eyes open with a yellow hue. Arthur smiles as the eagle now stands up and even act like an actual bald eagle. It let out some squawks that is just like a bald eagle as it started to take flight and flew close to the silo. The eagle stretches out its wings and let out a might screech as the proud bird it is.

After that, Arthur then started to work on a larger animal after a few days. A black bear that he saw in his old wildlife picture books. He placed the spawned skeleton onto the slab and goes to work on recreating the bear. He pounds his hammer with sparks hitting the bones while the eagle watches with interest. He kept on pounding till the bear started to grow flesh, organs, and skin. He kept on until its signature black fur started to grow. With one last and final pound, the bear started to breathe. The bear woke-up with its brown eyes and look around.

On that day, he introduced the bear and the eagle to the few denizens living in Raphtalia's old village. The children have taken an interest in the bear while Raphtalia has taken an interest with the eagle as it has become her hunting partner.

Back in the present, Arthur hammers as the new life form started to take form. A form of a woman with green hair with blond along with a green, cat-like tail and furry animal ears. He kept on hammering as clothes started to appear. Verdant green clothes started to form with some sort of yellow or golden emblem around the torso area of the dress. Once finished, Arthur pulls out from his shield an archer card. An archer card from the Fate series. He places it on her chest as it starts to glow with the card going inside of this new life form. Once it is fully inserted, the woman opens her beastly green eyes and starts to sit-up to gasp for air.

"Yes!" Arthur is proud of himself, "It worked!"

"What?!" she looks around until she sees Arthur. "Who are you? Are you my master? Did you perform some sort of summoning for the Holy Grail War?"

"Easy, Atalanta. Easy." Arthur tries to calm her down. "There is no Holy Grail War. And I'm not really your master. In truth, I crafted you."

"Crafted...me?"

"Yes. I'm the inventor of something called, life forging. A new form of magic on this world."

"Why?"

"Why you ask?" he gives her his hand, "Because I need someone to protect the children."

When she heard that, she takes his hand and starts to stand up.

"My name is Arthur van Buren. I'm the leader of the new nation here."

"You? But you're...a child." Atalanta is even more confused.

"Let me explain as we head out."

As they make their way up, Arthur tells Atlanta everything from how he got into this world and every event that lead up to this moment. He told her about the fact he is a mutant from a doomed world and what he has done. Told her about the events upon his arrival to the Melromarc Queendom, Raphtalia, Filo, the other heroes and more as they are out in sunlight. He continued on until they made it to Lurolona Village.

Just at the shores, Keel is getting her ass handed to her by the martial artist trainer, Elrasla Ragnarok (or Granny to many).

"Ow!" Keel hits the ground.

"Still too stiff!"

Keel gets back up, "I'll try again!"

"Good!" Granny is ready to go another round until she sense Arthur approaching.

Both of them look at the direction of Arthur approaching with a new person in tow. The boat made land and the two exit.

"Who's the new girl?" Keel asks.

"Hey, Granny. Keel." Arthur greets his denizens.

"Sir Shield Hero?" Keel looks over at Atalanta, "Who's she?"

"Well, remember how Ukam and Liberty were formed?" He is referring to the bear and eagle respectively. "This is the result. Keel and Granny, meet Atalanta."

The both of them are surprised that Arthur just made a person.

"Hold on!" Granny is shocked, "You're telling me that this girl is a result of your experiments?!"

"Yep." Arthur just answered casually.

Atalanta approach, "Hello. I am Atalanta, I'm an archer-class heroic spirit."

"No way..." Keel is astonished that Arthur just created a person.

Atalanta approaches and looks at Keel at eye level. She places her hand on Keel's head and smiles.

"A child like you went through some hard times, did you?"

Keel isn't really happy to be reminded about what she and the other children went through.

"Hey now." Atalanta gives her a hug. "Don't worry. I swear you and the other children will never go through what you have been through ever again." She hugs a little tighter while having a serious look, "I swear on my life."

"Alright." Arthur clap his hands twice, "Time to introduce you to the rest."

Arthur brings Atalanta to the rest of the village and introduce her to all the kids and his sister.

"Hello there." Gwen greets the new visitor, "You must be the being Gwen was trying to create after those experiments." He looks up and down at her and seems to be a bit annoyed, "Nice to met you."

"Um...right." Atalanta is feeling a bit uncomfortable, (Why do I sense so much hostility coming from her?)

Raphtalia starts to cry, "Wait. Am I being replaced?"

"What, no!" Arthur tries to explain himself, "Since we're gonna do some work and save the world and all that, we need some strong warriors to protect this village and the children! She's gonna be the guardian of this village along with a few others! I am also planning on making more so that the defense of this village and all of Rock Valley is safe while we're gone! True Matthew and his guys have guns, but they can't really use magic!"

"You realize I'm over here, right?" Matthew is next to Gwen.

"Oh, my bad. Sorry." Arthur apologizes.

Matthew takes a closer look at Atalanta and see the amount of detail on her. He then approach Arthur to whisper something.

"Nice work." he whispers. "Looks exactly like the one from the series. But... Do you think you could've made her boobs bigger?"

"I HEARD THAT!" Atalanta fires an arrow from her Tauropolos.

She misses, on purpose, and hits a wall of a house. Matthew gulps as he realizes he is in deep trouble with an angry Atalanta ready to take him out. Atalanta's eyes are on fire and is really pissed that Matthew said such things about her boobs. Matthew slowly backs away with sweat coming down from his forehead as Atalanta gets ready to fire again.

"HEY!" Filo shows up, "You leave the robo-guy alone!" Filo pouts and glares at Atalanta.

Atalanta stops and sees Filo. All of her anger has dropped just as fast she just dropped her bow. The bow disappears in a flash of light as Atalanta approaches Filo. Filo's frustration is replaced with confusion as Atalanta looks down at her.

"You... You're adorable!"

Atalanta does a surprise hug and snuggles Filo.

"Hey! Let me go! Get off of me, weird cat lady!"

Filo tries to struggle to break free as Atalanta continues to hug and snuggle. Everyone just stare at the commotion.

"That was close." Matthew is relieved that he was spared.

"I think you should head back to town." Gwen makes a suggestion.

"I think I will." and Matthew sneaks away.

Filo gets fed up with Atalanta and transform into her filolial form. Atalanta notice the feathers that she rubs her face on.

"What?" she is confused but starts to fall asleep, "Why do I feel..." She doze off with half of her inside the feathers.

The children laugh at Atalanta at the position she is in and falling asleep.

"Wow!" Rifana continues to laugh, "Guess Filo's feathers do induce sleep!"

"A little too well!" Granny laughs as well.

The next day, some of the children are using some special, magical farming tools that Arthur made that are loosely based on the all-purpose farming tool from Farming Life in Another World. The kids look at some of the pictures of various plants they would grow in the village. Some of the people back at the town, named New Cheyenne, are using them to create food forests. The kids at the village are trying to grow all kinds of food with the tools. Yet some are doing an experiment with certain plants. Like the cigar tree that they use to convert into bug repellents that will keep some of the crop devastating bugs out yet also use them for trade. Raphtalia has taken an interest in growing something called a fruit parlor tree in order to grow a ton of fruit. One of the kids has given Atalanta a picture of an apple tree they want her to grow, but she trade it with someone else since she is not a fan of apples given her history with a golden apple. As for what plant, she is gonna grow wine flower so they can use the wine to trade with with the wine being kept in a freezer box...and wants to have some for herself. Gwen and Melty are checking some of the figures to see how much money, food, and other materials they have and divide them up.

Arthur continues to try to free children and other slaves that are gonna be part of the village. Including the werewolf from the first time he did business with Beloukas. Hickwaal did appear not too long ago and purchased some iron sand, some of the freezer boxes, and a few other goods. But he did went back to his home to find other characters he can create while he sits on his couch and look over the best guardians for the children while he heads out. True the town can provide protection, but best to have some people to act as the first layer of defense and to escort the children to the town in a time of emergency.

"Checking over who to create next?"

"Yeah, trying to find the best people to watch over the place while I'm out. Gotta prepare for the worse when the day that Tortoise shows up. I have re-watched the show since my home appeared on this world. I remember everything now and what to prepare for. However, after what I just went through, best to be cautious. You may never know what would happen. Multiple zombie dragons, the gila dragon, and there is you."

"Well, yeah. But don't you think you're being overly cautious. Like that one other hero from that other anime that is overpowered but super cautious."

"True. But hey, does pay to be prepared. Although I'm thinking about doing a bit of devil forging to create a few monsters to attack intruders and slavers. Where am I gonna find some..." Arthur stops in realization. "Actually, I think I know where to find them."

"About time you deal with them!"

A few hours later, Arthur is in a small woods where he found a few ninjas that were spying on Raphtalia. The ninjas from Q'ten Lo. Arthur uses a concealing kai technique from Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy followed by a silencing kai. His shield transform into a bow that is identical to Atalanta's, [Tauropolos] and fire invisible arrows at the throats of the ninjas.

(The hell?!) one of the ninjas are caught off guard, (What's going on?! Where did all the sound go?!) He then noticed that his comrades are getting killed. (We're under attack?! But by who?!)

Before he can get his answer, he got shot in the throat and dies. Arthur cancels both kais and proceeds to approach the corpses.

"Damn, kid! You are one cold motherfucker. Good thing you got a piece of that weapon from that dastardly pope."

"Good thing I did." he look at one of the corpses, "Now let's see what I can make with these bodies."

"You may need to find a bigger place to make whatever jumbo creature you are planning on making."

Arthur looks at Lurolona Village, "I think I know where." He looks back at the corpses, "First, I'm gonna need some help with getting these corpses."

"HE-EY~!"

Gwen shows up with Filo in her filolial form and a cart.

"Looks like someone has been watching me, and it ain't the ninjas."

"Well, I knew you would deal with these at some point." Gwen looks around, "And about timing too. I hate having ninjas spying on me during my bath time."

"Hey, Big Bro?" Filo looks at Arthur, "Who are these guys? Do I get to eat them?"

"No, no." Arthur replies as he picks up one of the corpses, "They're for a little experiment of mine. Care to help?"

Filo picks up one, "What kind of experiment?"

"You're gonna have to wait and see." he loads up the corpse in the wagon.

Arthur is now at one of the abandoned houses with a hole through the roof and continues to hammer and transform one of the corpses into an innocent devil. Bright green flashes of light can be seen coming from the house with the sound of metal being pounded. Some of the children got curious to see what Arthur is doing. Raphtalia and Melty stopped everything and watch Arthur transform one of the corpses into a creature. The creature he is making is actually something for the children. It is big and fluffy that is like a yeti. An Iytei. Ukam and Liberty stare through the window and curious about the creature he is making.

Once finished, the creature rose up from the slab and look at everyone staring at him. The creature smiles and waves at everyone present.

"Okay everyone!" Arthur looks at the children, "Say hello to Ugaboo. A new friend."

Rifania is the first to approach and meet the creature. Ugaboo hops off the slab and sits down. Rifania then touches Ugaboo's fur.

"Its so soft." Rifania then hugs Ugaboo and snuggles.

Once the children see Rifania hugging Ugaboo, they all join in and notice how soft and fluffy Ugaboo is. Even Filo joins in and noticed how soft along with Ukam joining in on the party.

"Alright." Arthur does some stretches, "Now to get to work."
