Chapter 2
Something Weird Just Appeared

A few days have passed since Arthur find out on how to use 'life forging'. He made a few characters that were in the database. He made Percival, Jack the Ripper, Chiron, and Miss Crane from Fate/Grand Order along with Terry Boegard, Andy Boegard, Blue Marry, and Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury/King of Fighters and characters from Isekai: Slow Life such as Mater and Vivian, who are good at taking care of children. Gwen was against having Jack the Ripper at first, but best to have someone like her to deal with problems by blending in with the children then strike against perpetrators. Right now, Arthur is working on a few plans to make improvements to the village while also helping Melty and Raphtalia going over the finances at the main house.

Arthur lets out a sigh, "This is gonna be tough." He look over the plans and the finances, "Even with the increased funds from our cold boxes and crops, we still need something to get us some more finances in order to pay for the materials." He put his head on the table, "Wish I could go back to scavenging."

Melty looks at Arthur, "Scavenging?"

Arthur raise back his head, "Yeah. There were plenty of ruins after the apocalypse that a lot of good stuff was left to rot. Technology, spare parts, books. Lots of good stuff. Wish we could get more of that here."

Raphtalia talks while looking at some of the papers, "But the technology needed is more advance than what we have here in our world."

Arthur looks back at his papers, "Yeah. A lot of good stuff people took for granted. Solar panels, electricity, clean energy, satellites. Stuff you would usually use to avoid paying the bills and high demands."

"What?"

"It's something from my era in my world, you wouldn't understand."

"Hey, guys." Terry enters the room. "How are things?"

Melty looks at the papers, "Barely stable but enough to get by."

Raphtalia look at Terry, "Trying to get back everyone from the village from slavery is no easy task."

"Why not just, you know, punch every bastard slaver there is?" Terry slams his fist on his palm, "We should teach those assholes why slavery is wrong by beating them into the ground." He has a lot of resentment towards the slavers, especially ones that sell children.

Arthur puts down the papers, "That's all good, but you should keep in mind that you are saying swear words to an underage princess and an eight-year-old in an adult body."

"Oops." Terry covers his mouth, "Sorry."

"That's alright." Melty smiles, "I'm used to hearing such vulgar language in court."

"Oh." Terry looks down, "Man, this world is a wreck."

"You can say that again." Arthur organize the papers, "I was just telling them about the technology of my world. Well, technology you and I are used to."

"Well anyway, we managed to get the kids to bed and the others are keeping an eye out for any more of those ninjas."

"Make sure you guys get some sleep as well. We're gonna have a busy day. Best not to stay up late if you wanna be a role model to the kids of this world."

"Right. Well, good night." Terry leaves and closes the door.

"Night!" the three say to Terry.

Raphtalia looks at Arthur, "You know, I think you made a good choice on bringing Terry to life."

"Yeah, the guy was suppose to be a role model for the children in his series. The great protagonist of the generation he came out of. Back when the days of peace of mind when the USSR fell."

"The what?" Melty looks confused.

"I'll tell you about it later. Right now, we should call it a night."

Arthur is asleep in his old home back on the island. He is sleeping soundly until he feels a huge shake. His eyes open as everything around him starts to fall apart.

"What the hell?! An earthquake?!"

A picture of his parents fell over with the frame smashed.

"Not again!"

He gets out of bed and heads up to the surface to see what the hell is going on, while still in his pajamas. Arthur spawns in a broom from Hogwarts Legacy and fly high in the sky to see what is going on. From the sky, he sees a new land mass that has appeared that connects the island to the rest of the mainland. However, it looks like the new landmass is a mix of different places that somehow got fused together and made something strange. There are redwood forests, a plaza, a piece of a mountain where a wild western mining camp is at, a piece of a city, a swamp, and a plains with a lake in the middle. The place is huge yet nowhere near the village as this new landmass create a small bay.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" Arthur went as he notices the new landmass.

Everyone is up and are stunned by the fact there is a new landmass that just appeared out of nowhere. Arthur is there with Matthew as they look from one of the mountains where the new landmass connects the other two, both the mainland and the island. Raphtalia and Filo are also there with Raphtalia having a pair of binoculars to see what she can find.

"Anything?" Matthew asks.

"I've never seen anything like this." Raphtalia looks at the city part. "It looks like some of the stuff you described from your world."

Filo jumps up and down, "I wanna see, I wanna see!"

Matthew takes the binoculars to see, which Filo pouts. He look to see if he can recognize anything. He look down at the plaza and see some stores.

"Hey, Arthur?" Matthew lowers the binoculars that Filo swipes.

"Yeah?"

"Ever heard of any stores like Max-Mart, Home Improv., and Buck-O-Chicken?"

Arthur gives Matthew a perplexed look and has no idea what he is saying.

"Dafuq?" he gives Matthew a raised eyebrow.

"Never heard of them either. They sound like knock-offs of the stores back home."

"No shit." Arthur looks back at the new landmass. "But I have a few questions. One, how did this appear without a Wave? Two, where did all these come from? And three, what the bloody hell is going on?!"

Filo looks at the new places with the binoculars.

"Hey, Filo?" Raphtalia tries to get her attention.

Filo lowers the binoculars and looks at Raphtalia. "Hmm?"

"How about I lift you up so you can get a better view?"

Filo hops onto Raphtalia and looks from a higher vantage point. Even though Filo can transform into her filolial form to gain a better height, but nothing wrong with a little bonding time. From up high, Filo can see a lot more. So far, she doesn't see anything out of the ordinary while Matthew is trying to talk theories to Arthur. While looking down, she does notice some movement on the plaza.

"Hey I see something!"

Arthur and Matthew stop and look at Filo.

"Where?" Arthur asks.

"At that one building. The one that is blue with a yellow sign."

"Can I?" Matthew asks for the binoculars.

Filo gives back the binoculars and Matthew looks down at the building where Filo was looking at. He turns towards the plaza and sees something down there. Some sort of tent that have armed gunmen in black military uniforms. Special ops by the look of them. They are gathered around the IKEA building with some setting up a perimeter both around the building and the areas around it despite their small numbers. While getting a closer look at their uniforms, he can see the many various emblems on their shoulders. One of the emblems have some sort of pitchfork, two unlit torches, and some flame pattern that goes through the middle of the circle. Another has some sort of fox head at the top with nine points. Another has some weird swirl with three bizarre arrows. And another that has some weird rabbit/skeletal fish hybrid thing. There are also those that have a symbol of a foot getting hit with an arrow or spear by the heel. The last one has what look like three colonial soldiers marching to the right. However, one thing they have in common is the emblem on the back of them that look like a circle and a circle with three cog teeth with one on the top and two on the lower sides along with three arrows pointing at the center.

"Shit!" Matthew lowers the binoculars and is pissed. "SCP!"

Arthur and the rest are even more confused.

"The who?" Arthur asks.

"Some fucking horror genre organization bullshit! Like the Men in Black from the Men in Black movies but go beyond just aliens."

"Dafuq?" now he's even more confused.

Before Matthew can continue further, they start to hear gunfire.

"Oh what now!?" Now Arthur's being pissed.

Matthew look down and see what is happening at the city part. From what they can see, there are people fighting against robots that look like terrifying skeletons with glowing red eyes and armed with more advance weaponry. Among them are some people wearing some sort of power armor alongside strange, green humanoids that are bulky and muscular and creatures that look like giant lizards that walk on two legs, have horns, and extremely sharp claws. They are fighting against the same machines yet also fighting against machines that are humanoid yet less terrifying looking but still deadly. Look like something from a 1950's sci-fi but more advance that travel alongside tanks with a roller with chains and spiked balls, and a huge quadrupedal robot with four cannons.

In the redwood forest, there is an army of different fantasy races fighting against some undead horde. From what Matthew can tell, one side looks like a mix of Blood Elves, Orcs, Night Elves, Draenei, and Nagas from Warcraft. They look like they're the Illidari. Another look like a mix of Lord of the Rings such as Dwarves and Elves with a few Hobbits. And another look like they're from Age of Wonders including; Draconians, Dwarves, Goblins, Hobbits, High Elves, Humans, and Tigrans. All the undead are coming out of some gigantic hole at the center of the forest. From Matthew's point of view, it looks like someone just mixed a few fantasy strategy games together with no rhyme or reason.

Now at where the new land connects to the mainland, there appears to be a mix of different armies from different time periods fighting against both the undead and the robots. Looks like someone just combined some factions from the Command and Conquer series with only infantry and a small number of vehicles. He can see GDI from the second Tiberian game along with the Forgotten, the Allies from Red Alert 2, and the United States from Generals. They have three laser tanks, two mirage tanks, and four juggernaut walkers.

Arthur is giving a WTF look as he goes, "What the hell is going on?" He is even more confused than before as he watches the fight unfold. "Is this real or is this some fucked up reality warping crap?"

After a few minutes, they start to fade of reality. However, Matthew notice that the SCP Mobile Task Forces are sticking around.

"If we want answers, we're gonna have to talk to those guys." Matthew points at the IKEA. "I'm gonna get a squad down there and see if we can talk to those people. Wait up until we get here."

Arthur just rubs his eyes, "Right. I'm gonna have to make contact with my village to have them safeguard the kids."

His shield, rather the green core, then started to blink. Arthur raises it up close to his face.

"Hey, Arthur!" Terry's voice can be heard, "Are you okay?!"

"Just having a weird morning with some random crap that just appeared. In the meantime, I need you and the others to protect the village. Matthew and I along with a team will head down to investigate."

"Got it! Oh, and your sister wishes to join."

Arthur sighs, "Fine, fine. I'll summon her." He hangs up, "Hope she brings some breakfast."

"I know." Filo presses her stomach, "I'm really hungry."

Arthur raises his hand and summons Gwen. She is summoned in a flash of light while holding onto a bento box.

"Did someone want breakfast?" Gwen holds the box.

"Hurray!" Filo jumps for joy.

Matthew shows up with three members of his team. Two of them he has seen before when he first visited Matthew's town. The female made of rocks that is wearing metal armor that have been custom made for her bulky body. She has brown eyes and hair that looks like strains made of sand. She is also holding a modified M4 carbine with grenade launcher, a red dot sight, and extended magazines. The second is a humanoid honeybadger that is armed with a M240 that has a grip, a holographic sight, and something that looks like a heartbeat sensor made from junk. He is wearing goggles that double as sunglasses while wearing torn jeans that look like jean shorts, a leather jacket with the sleeves torn-off, and sporting a mullet under an old army helmet. The third one looks human unless you notice the cybernetic arms she has. She has blue eyes with short, brown hair while sporting an old air force uniform with the name tag 'MacDouglas' on it. She is armed with a sniper rifle and a shotgun on her back.

"Hey!" Arthur waves hi at them.

The honeybadger approaches, "Good to see ya'." He does sound sincere but his eyes says differently.

"How's everyone else's morning?"

"Still upset by the situation." he unveils his true emotion. He is furious, "I was enjoying a cup of joe until this shit happens. So I'm a little hangry."

"How about an onigiri, George?" Arthur holds up an onigiri Gwen made.

"Hmmm..." George thinks about it, "I'll have it."

The rock woman walks up, "So what the hell is going on?"

Everyone looks down at the field as Arthur explains, "Well, Janna, I have no idea. One moment we had a few units from various strategy games along with something to do with SCP and they just disappear. But there is another wave coming in judging by the..."

On the field, another wave of units from various strategy games have appeared. In the city, Hierarchy and Novus from Universe at War started blasting each other that caused many of the buildings to collapse. In the forest, factions from various Total War games fight each other. Rome, Shogun, Warhammer, Three Kingdoms, Troy, and Medieval along with a few modded ones. Lord of the Rings, Dragon Age, Tsardoms, Westeros, Witcher, and Hyrule are also in this massive fight. Not only that, there are factions from Age of Mythology units joining the fight. In the connecting zone, Starship Trooper units, both Mobile Infantry and Bugs, are fighting each other while fighting against UNSC and Covenant from Halo Wars. By the swamp, there is a fight going on with the Norsemen, Dustriders and Dragon Clan from ParaWorld while fighting against StarCraft, WH40K: Dawn of War, and Rise of Nations. At the plaza, the SCP MTF are fighting against XCOM, Gears of War (Gears Tactics), and Wasteland. The fighting in all these areas are intense as the area slowly becomes a wasteland.

"Ah shit." MacDouglas sees the problem, "What now?"

Arthur looks down at the scene, "We need to find out what the fuck is going on. Judging from what I've been seeing, it is where those SCP guys are at. They must have some sort of device that caused this."

"The IKEA store?" MacDouglas asks.

"Yes, Sarah. The IKEA store."

Everyone gets one the wagon and Filo is pulling it. They head on down and have to pass through the plains that are now open to every form of oldie and fantasy armies, including some that weren't there before. Filo uses her wind magic to blast many of the combatants out of the way. Everyone in the back are hanging onto their life with some of them screaming. Raphtalia, on the other hand, is doing her best not to barf. Filo blast her way through and made it as fast as she can to where the swamp and the forest meets. Arthur uses his shield to deflect any incoming attacks at Filo and the wagon. While on the way, one of the Warrior Bugs popped out from underground with an Ultramarine trying to beat the hell out of it. Filo is forced to jump over them with Arthur losing his balance. Arthur is about to go off.

"OH SHIIIIT!"

As he was about to fall off, Matthew managed to grab him by the arm.

"HOLD ON!"

Arthur is flying around in the back, "YOU CALL THIS HOLDING ON!?"

"YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!"

Raphtalia and the others help Arthur get back in and try to hang in there as well.

"HOW MUCH FARTHER, FILO!?" George asks.

"WE'RE HERE!"

Filo jumps over one of the barricades and makes it to the plaza close to the IKEA store. The Mobile Task Forces aim their guns at Filo and everyone in the wagon.

"WHOA WHOA WHOA!" Arthur comes out with his hands up. "We're the natives of this world! Hold your fire!"

"Hold up." Nephalem speaks, "I sense something. Something familiar. Something I haven't felt since..."

"Nephalem?" Arthur looks at his shield.

"This might be the work of-"

"ALL TROOPS! STAND DOWN!" one of the MTF members orders.

All of them lower their weapons as the captain of the fox symbol approach. He stands tall over Arthur as he looks down at him through his goggles. He then grabs Arthur's left arm that holds the shield.

"HEY!"

The captain examines the shield before letting Arthur go.

"Lord Qui Custodit Te In Libra Autem Omnes Rerum."

Arthur is surprised by the fact the captain knows Nephalem's name. The others of his party are surprised as well.

"You know me?" Nephalem asks.

"Indeed. We are the chosen guardians of Cogitanti Strategies Belli Et Pacis."

"Cognitani Strate-" Nephalem tries to remember until it hits him, "OH! Strategiest! I thought I felt a familiar presence. But what the hell is he doing with all these things from Earth's strategy games?"

"I'm afraid that his soul is divided into fragments." the captain explains, "Done so by that bitch goddess after the Fall. We are safeguarding it. As for how we got here, we were exposed to a dimensional rift on one of the planets we got stuck on. Medea Pideth Machina has been collecting what is left of those worlds and force them to play her games while also going through various media to make more to test her powers. Thus these random battles you see here."

Raphtalia asks, "If we take the soul fragment, does all of this stop."

"Yes. Once one of the heroes claim the fragment, these armies that appear and disappear will stop. However, there might be a few snags. It is in the safest place that there is as no one would ever dare enter willingly...if they know it. It is the last place anyone would dare to go. Anyone that would will be turned back because of it."

"Where's that?" Janna asks.

The captain points at the IKEA building.

Upon this realization, Matthew goes, "OH HELL NAAAWWW!"

"Told ya."

AN: Hey everyone. Just two more chapters to go and then we'll get to the main plot. Later!
