Cam's POV:"Next time watch where your running and throwing the ball." Mr. C rolled his eyes as the last of the lower grade students shuffled out of the infirmary."Gosh Mr. C, harass much?" Kya teased."Haha, very funny." Mr. C pulled an ice pack out of the freezer. He 'shoved' the ice pack onto Kya's forehead. "You seem to be in a joking mood. Shall I tell Lillie you on longer need time to recover?""Why threaten me!?" Kya's eyes went wide, than she grimace placing the ice pack on her head."Sense of humor gone." Mr. C pretended to write the diagnosis. "Could be from lack of vitiams. 'll late t let the cafeteria know your not to have any sweets. Ah yes, how about -""Mr. C!" Kya shouted in dismay.'What?" Mr. C blinked and fake ignorance. "Take this and lay down."Kya took the pain pills without protest and laid on the bed."You might want to get food for you both." Mr. C glanced at his watch."You already missed class because of that tush." He rolled his eyes at the mention of the flood of lower grade students that (just) left. "No point in you two missing lunch as well.""Make sure to grab a slice of cake!" Kya called as I headed for the door."Sure, hopefully Alexei didn't eat it." I called back as I opened the door. Exiting the infirmary, I entered the hallway. Taking this path lead the to the courtyard where I can cut through to get to the cafeteria quicker. Well as luck would have it, lunch wasn't apart of the plan today. Upon entering the courtyard, I saw an adult male walking towards my direction. The movement caught me off guard, but I didn't think much of it. It is lunch time, when people are transition from place to place. It was when I moved aside to let him by that I realized to late, I was his target. A hand shot out to grab me, but I ducked down and rolled away. Quickly standing, I noticed the mark of Xana in his eyes. You've got to be kidding me. Now, Xana decides to attack!? The position of the man blocked the path to the courtyard and the school building is behind me. Wishful thinking on my side, I sprinted back inside. Once there, I took the broom from against the wall and shoved it into the door handle. Xana's Spector will get through it, but I'll be long gone by then.Not waiting around, I rushed back to the infirmary. There Mr. C looked up from his comic, eyebrows quirked. Kya took the ice pack off her head and sat up when the door closed behind me. "Cam, wh-""Spector, inside the building." I answered, cutting her off."Shoot," Kya hopped off the bed and made her way to the door. "then we need to leave."I shook my head, "He's by the courtyard entrance and that's the closest way out." I began looking around the room for something to block the door with. "The other exit is to far and we'd have to go up the next floor to avoid him.""Then what's the plan?" Kya asked."Block the door and call the guys and Emi. They'll have to deactive the tower alone. Until then, we hold out and keep the Spector's attention on us." Not finding much in the way of blockage, I moved to the cabients behind Mr. C's desk.The nurse continued to watch us, but finally spoke when I tried moving a cabient. "Cam, care to reexplain that in a way I can understand?"Kya appoarached, pointing to the comic. "We're gonna end up like Nexus was from issue number twenty-six if we don't block the door."Mr. C ponder this, "Are we talking civilian levels or hero time?"Kya nodded grimly, "Vigilante.""Why didn't you say so!?" Mr. C jumped out of his chair and moved to the closest cabient. "This one is new, so it isn't bolted to the wall yet, but the others are. I have a power drill in my desk...don't ask why." He motioned for us to join him. "Let's block the door with this first then I'll work on unbolting the others while you continue blocking the door.""Please explain." I asked Kya. "Why does he believe us because of some comic book?"Kya shrugged, "Because the last time I made a reference to a comic book and warned him, he didn't listen. Mr. C got stuck with subbing for a month plus field trip duty. You know he dislikes both."I wanted more info on those events but put that thought aside and went to help move the cabient. *Kanna Academy:"Neither one of them is answering." Alexei hung his phone after Kya also didn't answer.Lynn's grip on his bag tightened. "Doesn't men anything. They might need to be quiet to avoid being found. Either way, we need to move."They left the cafeteria, their thoughts focused on getting to the mansion. At the edge of the campus, they realized Wave was following them."Go back to Kadic." Lynn ordered."No." Wave crossed her areas. "I'm also Emi's friends. Let. Me. Help."Lynn ran his hands through his hair. "You've already done your part. You told us. We'll handle the rest.""No you won't" Wave said confidently. "He can toss energy pulses and is incredibly fast.""And strong, can jump long distances, and doesn't tried out. 'Alexei listed. "This ain't our first redo."Wave was stumped, how did they know the details about Mr. Fumet's in human strength. "Do you know what he looks like?"Alexei shrugged., "Doesn't matter, he got a weird symbol in his eyes."Wave stomped her foot. They'd countered all of her arguments. "What if he finds you? I can distract him.""We don't -"Alexei began."Fine." Lynn cut him off. "We're wasting him time trying to send her a away. She's already seen the Spector, taking her to the lab won't can change anything. Besides a Return to the Past will fix things.""Follow us and don't get lost" Alexei/Lynn ordered.*Kya's POV:"Anytime now Mr. C!" I pushed my weight against the cabinet blocking the door. The piece of furniture was the only thing stopping Xana's Spector from getting in. Cam stood on the other side, helping to hold the cabinet in place. "Got it!" Mr. C dropped the power drill and moved to push the second cabinet towards us. "Can one of you help?" He asked, the moment glass shattered. A hand shoved through the tiny broken glass window on the infirmary door. I threw my entire weight against the cabinet, forcing the hand out. "Hurry!"Cam went to help Mr. C and together they got the second cabinet in position. The combined weight strengthen the blockage, but still wasn't enough. The Spector fought harder to get inside."We need to create a pile from the door to the adjust walk!" Cam ordered. "Than the door won't be able to open.""Yeah, and we'll be trapped inside when the Spector does get in." I groaned the still holding the cabinets in place. "Mr. C, you wouldn't know of a hidden exit, would you?"Mr. C paused to glance at me, than went back to unbolting the third cabinet. "Why do you think I know something like that?"I rolled my eyes, "You and Mr. Z use to go to Kanna right? Wouldn't you know better than us of any hidden exits?"Mr. C went to answer when the door buckled. We went silent, sharing a look between us. An unspoken agreement to finish blocking the door then worry about finding away out. *Lab:They entered the lab to find it empty. Lynn hoped into the chair, trying to access Lyoko. meanwhile Alexei tried calling Cam again. a Wave, amazed, moved to inspect the supercomputer. The tch before her made anything else seen prehistoric. She watched Lynn fiddle with the buttons. The screens displayed information, indicating it's recent use."Move." She shoved his hands away, taking over. Fingers flew over the keys, the map of Lyoko appear. "This is that what you need?"Lynn didn't answer as Cam's voice blurted through the phone. "We're trapped in the infirmary."Lynn hopped out of the chair to grab Alexei's hp phone. "Can either of you to the lab? Emi's alone on Lyoko and we've got no way to get her to get to her Lyoko?""No, we're completely trapped. We can barely hold/key the Spector out!" She shouted."You'll have to virtualize yourselves." Cam stated. "I can direct you through the process.""Won't work," Lynn exclaimed. "there's the a hack for the tower . Emi can't deactivate it otherwise."Wave continued to learn about the computer. On the map, a purple icon moved from several red ones."Cam? Kya?" Emi's voice drifted through the computer."Emi!" Wave shouted, confused as to why Emi was in 'inside' the computer.'Wave?" Emi questioned. "Are Lynn or Alexei there?""Yes!" Eave answered, earning Lynn and Alexei's attention. "Emi's asking you Asking for you! It looks like she's being chased!""They rushed over to the computer."Hide Emi, we're trying to figure out her to get to Lyoko, Cam and Kya are trapped at Kanna." Alexei examined."Wave, she can send you." Emi suggested. "She's like Cam, good with computers. More so hacking.""She's right." Kya agreed. "She hacked into Kanna's server in minutes.""This is different. We're talking about sending us o to Lyoko not playing with code. Alexei countered."Cam can direct her." Lynn groaned, not liking the idea of someone else sending them to Lyoko. But they were out of options."I can do it." Wave declared. "All I need is a basic understanding."*Wave's POV:"We're trusting you." Lynn told her before getting into the elevator with Alexei."Yeah, it's only our lives that are at stake if you miss up. No pressure." Alexei grinned and gave a thumbs up, before the elevator doors closed.I sighed, wondering what I'd gotten myself into. This morning I was attending classes at Kadic and plotting revenge on Sissi. This afternoon I'm running through the forest to reach Kanna to get Lynn and Alexei. Now, I'm about to send these boys to who knows where."Are they in the scanner?" Cam's voice came through the computer speakers. He had instructed me on how to call him on the computer, instead of using Alexei's phone. This would proved more focus and access to the various programs on the computer.A window opened, showing one dark cylinder and two lite up. The two lite up had pictures of Lynn and Alexei underneath each one."I think so." My reply came out unsure.Cam sighed. "You need to be one hundred precent positive on everything you do. This is more complicated than hacking."Rolling my eyes, I went to work. "Once their in the scanners begin the virtualiztion process by transferring their data." I repeated Cam's hastily given instructions. "Select the correct avatar." A photo of Alexei in a 3D ninja outfit popped onto the screen, followed by Lynn's avatar. "Next scan their bodies to the avatar." A white line appeared on both scanners indicating the scanning process had started. "Finally virtualize them onto Lyoko." Their avatars lite up, than disappeared off screen along with the scanners' window. In their place, a map appeared with two arrows, one black and another grey."Wow, she actually did it!" Alexei's popped back onto the screen, lightening up as he spoke. "Way to go Wave!""Stop with the cheers. We don't have time to waste. Remember the Scyphozoa?" Lynn's avatar lite up as he spoke. "Wave, ask Cam how to find Emi's coordinates."I relied the request to Cam. "The call cut off." I informed Lynn, as I farcically searched for Emi's location.Lynn sighed. "We need to hurry. Xana could switch targets and attack the lab at any moments""Focus on locating the activated tower." Alexei informed me. "Deactivating it's the only way to save Cam and Kya."Scratching my head, I hit several buttons. "Could you be a bit more specific?"They muttered something about the tower looking red on the map and that is should be somewhere in the same sector as them. Their best advice, scroll around on the computer until I found something big and red.Rolling my eyes, I decided to do things my way. "Does Cam have an instruction manual?"Their icons began moving in the direction of northeast. Lynn was in front, with Alexei close behind. Clicking on Emi's avatar showed she was still on the move. The red dots on her tail."Input eighteen-nine." Alexei advised. "He hides everything under that codename things that are incomplete.""Incomplete in be better than nothing." I enter the codename into the command window. A file folder opens up with several dozen files. "I don't have times to shift through these."Hoping out of the chair, I dig my laptop out and hook it into the main computer system. Entering the password opens the hacking program. It's set to quietly sneak into a system and stealthy by pass security. I turned off that feature to focus on finding information before anything else.First it will search for key words by 'watching' the videos, than play the audio that matches the ley word. I've input several key words; deactive, tower, locate, and coordinates.*Alexei's POV:"Maybe you should turn it off?" I asked Lynn as he lead us through the ice sector.When Wave lost contact with Cam Lynn activated Eagle's eye . He took off once he spotted Emi. Problem is the distance we need to cove is longer than is safe for Lynn to keep Eagle's Eye forcefully activated.'Can't, Emi's constantly on the move." Lynn stated.'Here," Wave's voice jolted us to a stop. "maybe this will help.."The Cyberjet martialized before us."Did it work" Wave asked in an usure tone.'Yeah, this will cut our travel time down." I hopped onto the vehicle. "Lynn? You coming?""Dang it! H He jumped on behind me and pointed ahead. "The S_ has Emi. We. Need. To. Go."Activating the Cyberjet, I took off in the direction Lynn pointed to."Be careful!" Wave warned. "There are four...dots? Surrounding Emi- What the heck!? Wave's voice went from confused to panicked."Talk to us Wave, we need to know what's happening." Lynn's voice sounded calm, but I heard the tension underneath.Can't blame him, we're going in blind. Neither Cam nor Kya are here to guide us. Wave's presence is better than nothing. She seems to be learning about the supercomputer quickly. Will it be enough isn't a question. It has to and will be enough."A...a new window popped up. Emi's..." Wave paused. "that creature is stealing Emi's memories!""Calm down Wave." I ordered. "We will save Emi. How far away are we from her?"There was a moment of silence before she said. "She's around the next corner."As she predicted, when we rounded the corner for bloks protected the Scyphozoa. The Scyphozoa had Emi in it's tentacles, with with three tentacles around her head. The twinkling orbs in those three tentacles are evidence of it stealing/taking Emi's memory.Ignoring the bloks, I increased the speed of the Cyberjet. "Cheetah take down!" I shouted the code words to Lynn, knowing he'd understand. The Cyberjet picked up speed, charging towards the bloks. Ignoring them, I released two shuriken at the S_. One hit the _ stealing Emi's memory and the second cut through the _ holding her."Lynn!" I shouted. "be ready." The Cyberjet flew underneath where Emi was falling. Lynn's arms were out to catch her, as we continued pass the Scyphozoa .Lynn placed Emi on her feet in between us.'There's something catching up to you and it's fact!" Wave warned, as a laser like wall shot pass the left of us."A megatank! Can't we catch a break," Lynn groaned. "Homing Arrow!" Both of his chakrams flew towards the megatank, bouncing off when it closed (itself)."Don't waste your time. We need to get to the towers." Emi reminded us of our second objective.A cave came into sight. I directed the Cyberjet towards it, as another laser shot out. It hit the edge of the Cyberjet."When the next laser comes, jump and run/towards the cave." I ordered, moment before the third laser came.Lynn jumped off first with Emi, I followed right afterwards. My body slammed into the ground with a 'thud'. Before I could recover, an ice wall surrounded me. Looking up, I saw Emi 'singing' to create several more walls.Lynn fought off the megatank, sing one chakram to trick it into closing. Once that chakrams bounced off, it reopened to attack. Lynn used that moment to send his second weapon at the monster. Once down One down several more to go. While Lynn fought and Emi protected us, krabs joined the party. Between the three of them Emi's walls crumbled.'Get to the cave!" Lynn shouted. He covered our retreat, when the krabs advanced.Emi entered the cave first, I reminded at the entrance using my shuriken to distract the krabs. The distance is to large for me to accurately hit the krab. Either way, I'm wasting my shuriken, especially since Wave doesn't know how to program more. I'd rather this than risk Lynn being devirtualize.Lynn fell into the save when a laser hit him."Wave hurry! We won't last much longer!" Alexei cried. Lasers bombarded him, but Lynn pulled him inside the cave before he took to much damage.'We might be able to lose them inside the cave." Lynn peeked out to see what Xana had sent. "Will that by you enough time?"Wave sat in the lab, watching the monitor. Several kranlets moved to join the krabs. "Umm...more things are headed towards you." She zoomed in on the inside of the cave . A vast underground system spread through most of the ice sector. "You should be able to reach the t tower by using the underground cave system. However, I don't think I'll be able to direct you. " she understood computers, which allowed her to quickly learn how to use the supercomputer. Wave would need more time to fully comphend the overall system."Give us the coordinate, we'll reach the tower on our own:" Lynn closed his eyes and focused on trying to 'see' what was beyond his sight. "Focus n on hacking into the tower. The firewall needs to be deactivated before Emi can enter." Eagle Eye forcefully activated, Lynn began to scan te cave. "We need to hurry, Cam and Kya are in danger."*Emi's POV:"I'm trying." Wave replied. "Cam's got so many videos my programs having difficulty finding the correct video."I told Cam to organize those videos and condense them. not everyone will or can sit through them. How did Wave do it?""Open the command window and enter 'superscan.exe'" I replied. "Next input 'superscan.ice sector.activated tower." A beta venison of the way Cam and I normally use the superscan, this protype has several bugs, one being it's accuracy. At seventy-precent, it narrowed the activated tower's location to a general area."It's given the coordinates for towers eight, five, and ...ten." Wave shared. "How do we know which one's the correct tower?""Lynn." Alexei told our friend.Lynn's eyes were closed, than he opened them, glanced around before stumbling. There's an arch at the entrance.""Wave -" I began, when she stated. "Southeast! At the first uhh...right than follow the path downward. You'll exit in a canyon that has a path leading to the tower.A laser hit the cave's wall. Alexei placed one arm around Lynn's was waist to support him. He urged me to go first tan he followed with Lynn.(Note: Continue with them making their way to the activated tower.)*They exited the ice cave to find themselves in the canyon Wave described. While the path appeared clear, they were cautious. Lynn went first, scouting ahead. Eagle's Eye had deactived due to Lynn's exshuation. He wasn't sure if the ability would reactive on it's own like it usually did when an enemy was nearby."Wave, do you see anything on the screen?" Lynn asked."Hold on, I had to minimize the map." Wave answered."Lynn!" Alexei cried, trying to warn his friend. "In coming!"A group of five hornets entered the canyon, firing lasers. Lynn was hit by one in the shoulder before he could draw his weapon. Quickly recovering, he sent one charkam after a horent. The monster flew to the side, dodging it. The weapon bounced off the ice to return to Lynn."Wave, now would be a good time to start hacking into the tower." Alexei drew his sai, ready to aid in the battle."I'm trying, but I don't see how to open or where to imput the hack." Wave let out a frustrated sigh. "I need more time!""That is what we don't have!" Lynn declared, while blocking lasers. He didn't want to pressure Wave, but time was something they didn't have. Never mind the hornets blocking the path to the tower, they hadn't heard from Kya and Cam in a while. The Spector could get them at any moment. "Wave follow my instructions!" Emi began to relay the directions for how to hack into the tower. She was sure Wave wouldn't need the sub-hacking programs once she started, but it was nice to have a back up just in case.Alexei wanted to join Lynn, helping him fight off the horents so they could save their friends, yet he didn't dare move. It was only the two of them on Lyoko to protect Emi and get her to the tower. They couldn't afford for both of them to get devirtlatized."Get ready to go Emi." Alexei informed her. "I'm going to use Shadow Swap." Shadow Swap would create several clones of Alexei's chosen target, allowing the real one to remain invisible for a set time. Alexei wouldn't be able to use Shadow on himself, though."Okay." Emi moved to stand beside Alexei. "Wave's started the hack, she'll be done at any moment."Alexei nodded, his silent reply. "Shadow Swap!" Activating the ability, he watched as the real Emi disappeared and five clones took her place. The clones spread out in different directions, each one the target of a horent. While the hornets were distracted, Emi made a run for the tower. The guys took the oppuntrity to take out as many hornets as they could. A hard task for Alexei as he used his last shurken on a hornet, leaving three remaining. Lynn had tossed both his charkams, trying to take out two horents. However, this left him defenseless. A hornet had taken out it's clone of Emi and set it's target to Lynn. Hit with several lasers and unable to defend himself, Lynn lost his remaining life points. Seeing this, Alexei checked the tower. He saw Emi reappear as she entered.A moment later, the tower returned to it's normal white hue and the horents flew away."Tower deactiveated." Wave's voice confirmed they'd managed to stop Xana once agian.*They sat in the lab waiting for Cam and Kya. The tower deactivated, the two were making their way to the mansion. Cam needed to use Code Earth to bring Emi back and start the Return to the Past. Once done, Wave would have no memory of the day's events.The silence was awkward, Lynn had met Wave, with the others, a few times when they went to visit Kadic. His knowledge of her was limited to those brief visit and discussions with Emi. To her credit, she asked no questions nor did she snoop on the supercomputer. She spoke with Emi through the headset about school and her hobby. Alexei occasionally chimed in, other than that they waited.Alexei opted to remain on Lyoko with Emi in case Xana tried something. They sat inside a Way Tower waiting for Cam as well."I'm gonna make a playlist that Sissi will hate!" Wave declared.Emi laughed. "No need, I've gotta plan.""What about Sissi?" Lynn asked, curious."I got detention because of Sissi, no big deal." Emi reassured. She knew what to do after the Return to the past.""We're here." Cam said out of breathe as the elevator doors opened.Kya stepped off first." Good thing Mr. C won't remember this. He didn't look happy when we left."Once the tower was deactivated. Prinpal Hall and several other staff members rushed inside the inframy. They crowded Mr. C after checking on Kya and Cam. Before Mr. C could explain the events, the questions came. Kya ducked out with Cam before Mr. C before they were dragged into questioning. Mr. C wasn't happy about being left to deal with the after math."General you here?" Alexei's vocie drifted from the supercomputer. "Can we end this party?"Wave hopped out of the chair, but stood beside Cam as heh worked. "Yeah, you'll both be back in a moment." Cam dematiralized Alexei first, than began Code Earth. Minutes later, the elevators opened to reveal Emi and Alexei back on Earth."Welcome back." Lynn said.
"Let's not do that again." Alexei streched "Xana almost got us this time."
