"Opportunity had finally come to Pamela. Instead of using her powers on the environment by herself or having to rely on the assistance of her villain colleagues. She had been given a chance to do it with the aid of Lena Luthor, though Harley and the boys felt unsure if she could be trusted since they'd imprisoned his brother for almost destroying the Earth and letting it be used for an alien invasion. However, their opinions didn't matter since they were in a new city, and it was a chance for Ivy to do something special with her powers without killing anyone."

Morning-Metropolis

It was a bright and beautiful morning for the city of tomorrow with things looking up for the Outlaw crew. Harley was focused on having a congratulations party for Ivy since today was her first day at the botanic labs that Lena informed her about working in. The clown woman got drinks, food, and a present she had made just for the both of them. Meanwhile, Bebop and Rocksteady were helping out bring in their clothes and accessories after deciding on moving to Metropolis. They were occupied with their thoughts about the women of their lives such as Karai remaining in Gotham to keep an eye out on their friends, while Karen Starr had taken up the position of 'Woman of Steel' in looking after her cousin's home.

"I still don't get the whole thing, Rock. Doesn't the boy scout have a whole bunch of people looking after it? Especially how he has a bunch of super people."

Bebop asked his friend how Superman was a one-of-a-kind hero who represented hope for a new day. Other people took up the emblem he wore and aided him; it included family members who survived the destruction of his homeworld or people who had the strength to fight just as hard as Superman.

"Because half of them are busy with their lives. Like Supergirl being in the future, that Steel fella having a company to run. There was also this robot fella Karen told me about, he was a bit of an asshole. But awesome in a fight, called himself 'The Eradicator'."

Responding to Bebop about the people who'd be up in looking after Metropolis in his absence. Other than that, the rhino was excited to be dating a superhero celebrity. Having placed the last of their stuff in the rooms, they walked out to see Harley stressing about getting everything ready for when Ivy comes back.

"Is the sign crocked? I spent an hour watching videos on making a party great, and it involved making sure the sign was perfectly placed. Why doesn't it look good!?"

She shouted in frustration about having Ivy come home to see her wife with refreshments after working in Metropolis's finest labs. Noticing the frustrated expression Harley was showing and needing to break something, Bebop went over to grab her baseball bat and emergency breaking vase whenever she needed to let out steam.

"Thank you, Bebop."

Harley thanked him before letting out a yell and smashed the vase into pieces with her baseball bat. With that helping her relax, Harley cleans up the broken pieces before deciding to take a break and sits on the expensive couch that came with the penthouse.

"Harley? While I'm not all that good with moments, I think she'll like what you've done."

Rocksteady encouraged her that she'd already done a lot in making it amazing for Ivy when she came back. Still, Harley felt unsure if it was enough due to how Ivy was doing something credible with her powers. She was here with nothing to do since Metropolis didn't have that many places for her to apply herself. Deciding to take a break and watch television, the trio saw what looked like a life-threatening incident happening that showed Power Girl in action.

"If you're tuning in just now. There's been an alarming rise of criminals from Metropolis past that have decided to take action after Superman announced taking a sabbatical. Such as the Brimstone, a giant that battled the Man of Steel in a standstill. It now finds Power Girl in its way from burning the city."

A reporter informed the people watching as they saw Power Girl facing off against a giant with red skin, black spandex, and a black skull for a face. Everyone watched the blonde-haired heroine avoiding the giant's explosive projectiles. Keeping it away from the public and doing her best to keep it from destroying the city, Power Girl used her speed to fly into several hospitals grabbing packets of cold compressions and placing them in a nearby roof tank.

"Is she saving the city or making it a drink?"

Bebop questioned what Rock's girlfriend was doing as the rhino growled at him since he knew she was up to something. Taking the tank of water into the air, she throws it onto the flaming giant as the water starts to affect Brimstone. Power Girl inhaled deeply before blowing the water on Brimestone as it started to turn him into a frozen statue.

"What do you know? Cold compression packs can handle anything, especially a walking volcano. While Power Girl's been around in Metropolis aiding Superman in his mission for peace. This is a sign that she's got the know-how to look after us."

Finishing the report, the Kryptonian woman looked downward at the people cheering her for saving them from Brimstone. Rocksteady smirked at Bebop for doubting her leaving the trio unaware of the door opening up from behind to show Ivy coming back from the botanic lab.

"I guess the party is over with you all sitting on the couch."

She spoke out leaving Harley to feel embarrassed at not being ready for her arrival and getting distracted by the fight they were watching on the television. Jumping over the couch to hug Ivy, the mutants walked over to grab the drinks to offer the new student at Metropolis Botanic Labs.

"There are so many things I want to ask about your first day back in a lab, but I want to show you something that Lena helped me make for the occasion."

Harley informed her wife about a gift she had made since it was a home gift they could use whenever they weren't doing anything outside of the apartment. She headed into the kitchen to come back with a set of coasters that had her and Ivy's faces. It made the plant woman smile at the gesture and kiss Harley's forehead for the gift she'd been given.

"Hey, guys. I saw some bars that had some sports games playing, good places for you two to get to know this place better."

Ivy told Bebop and Rocksteady about having the chance to explore Metropolis by themselves. It took them a couple of minutes for them to understand what Ivy wanted as they took her up on the offer and decided to head out to let them have the place to themselves. Harley smiled at Ivy telling them to leave as she felt Ivy pick her up and place her on the counter table and started to kiss Harley's neck. She laughed at how soft Ivy was kissing her and wanting to be intimate with how they hadn't had time to have fun.

"Wanna add some science talk while we fool around? Maybe show me what you did to those tubes while I was here?"

Asking Ivy to have fun with her by mixing work since it helped her get to know what she'd done today. It caused her to stop as it made Harley think something might have happened at the lab. Not saying a word and grabbing her bat to see what happened, Ivy stopped her with a vine since she knew whatever made her upset would leave Harley to fix it.

"While I admire your need to avenge me peanut, you don't have to. I did it myself while making sure Lena didn't notice."

Explaining how she'd handle the problem without needing to get violent as they would back in Gotham City. Pulling out her phone to show a recording of the incident, Harley watched Ivy talking to a man about their past involving their involvement in creating Frank the Plant. Having taken him to an empty room in an attempt to make amends, Ivy used the same chemicals that changed her into the plant woman she is today. Locking him inside and letting the room fill with chemicals, she informed Lena about an accident that happened to him.

"Is it wrong that I'm turned on about how you know how to handle bastards who have it coming?"

Harley asked her about how Ivy was cold and ruthless in getting payback for whatever he did to her. The plan woman smiled at her comment but decided to remain quiet about who he was to her since it involved her past. Deciding to continue to make out with Harley, they heard the door knocking which made the two groans at the sudden interruption.

"Guys! Ivy already told you where you can get drunk and find people to start fights with, so can you kindly fuck off?!"

She shouted at them as Harley was annoyed at not having quality time with her wife. Walking over to open the door and continue her yelling at the mutants, it wasn't Bebop and Rocksteady. Standing in front of her was King Shark wearing average clothing than his Atlantean attire and holding a fruit basket for her and Ivy.

"Hey, girls. I heard about you moving here and was surprised to hear it, thought it be good to get you both a welcoming present."

Responding about them moving here since it appeared that Nanaue and his family were here to be in a better environment since Gotham wasn't the place to raise nine shark hybrids. Harley hid back any anger toward him since she wanted to save it for the bed.

"I'm guessing there's more to this visit since that fruit basket has wine and tons of gift cards to places that we like. What's the catch?"

Ivy questioned him since she took a look at the basket to see numerous items that the pair could use with their time here in Metropolis. Before he could explain the surprise visit, they heard the sound of things being smashed from the hallway which left Nanuae to move Harley and Ivy to the side for safety. Coming toward their room like a hurricane were Bebop and Rocksteady being bitten and climbed on by Nanuae's kids.

"Somebody get these little badass kids off me before I go warthog on them!"

Bebop shouted at how ferocious the kids were due to how chaotic and bite-happy they were acting. Stumbling on the furniture and making sure they weren't trying to bite any sensitive spots, Harley and Ivy looked over at King Shark with a glare to see that he wanted something from them.

"Ok. I need help looking after my kids because Caitlin and I are in a political meeting with the Brine that needs our attention. They ate our last babysitter, and I need help from family. Which you four are since you became their godparents."

He told them about needing their help and seeing them as more than former partners but family he'd trusted with his life. Hearing that made Harley feel uncomfortable since it was her fault for accepting the role of godmother to the baby sharks since she helped Caitlin to birth them. Looking over at Ivy with a sad look at them looking after the kids, Pamela caved in and accepted to look after the nine terrors from the ocean.

"Thank you, I owe you big time. I've got to go now; I'll be back my babies. Behave yourselves!"

Nanuae told his kids before hugging Harley and Ivy to then leaving the penthouse. The women looked at Bebop and Rocksteady who had their hands filled with the kids who didn't stop biting them and enjoyed making them scream. Harley was ready to help them out before getting a phone call from Lena Luthor making her nervous if it involved Ivy's 'incident' at the Lab.

"Looks like I have to be the 'mature' one. Gross."

Harley told Ivy about taking the call as she made her way to the bedroom and responded to Lena's call. Ivy looked at the shark children to see them having their fill with the mutants and turned their attention to the meals they had placed out for her arrival. She reacted quickly and used her vines to wrap up the nine kids before they made a mess in the living room.

"Playtime is over. If you want to eat, then you're going learn some manners from your godmother, got it?"

She told them in a stern tone about how she wouldn't take their nonsense like Bebop and Rocksteady who let them bite them up like chew toys. Displaying a dominant expression toward them and showing that she was in charge, the shark kids nodded before being placed on the ground gently. They soon ran past Ivy to eat the food that was on the tables.

"Don't worry about it. Kids that age always like the break stuff, reminds me of myself when I threw a garbage can at a window. Made me realize that I want to break stuff as a job."

Rocksteady told her that the need to destroy things was a part of everyone's childhood to help them become adults like himself and the people Ivy knew. Deciding to not respond to the rhino's advice, they saw the bedroom open up to show Harley with a smile on her face about what Lena told her on the phone.

"Whatever you planned on doing with the pool of sharks. Fuck it! Because Lena told me about a birthday that's happening right now, so get clean up. We're going to a fairy tale party!"

She told them and the children which caught their attention as well as cheer for the announcement. They ran over to Harley thanking her for taking them to a party while the others felt unsure if it be a good idea to take King Shark's kids to a birthday party filled with ordinary kids. However, it was better than being here and the sharks destroying everything in sight.

Later-Metropolis

The birthday party that Lena informed Harley and the others was taking place in the city's luxurious places that hosted gatherings and events. Walking the children with leashes to keep them from running off and eating something, they arrived at the building where it seemed to be built by London construction workers. Noticing a set of guards standing at the entrance to keep out unwanted attention, Ivy showed them her ID that she was affiliated with Lena Luthor as well as Harley who was invited to the party. Letting the small group into the building, they followed the guards into a room that fit the theme of a fairy tale party.

"Damn. Money can buy anything; we need to get back to making money!"

Bebop spoke out in jealousy at whoever was hosting the birthday was rich and was spoiling their children. It left him to lose his grip on one of the leashes which made the others let go and had the sharks go off to enjoy themselves. Except for one who stayed by Harley's side who didn't seem to join the others.

"My friends!"

A voice shouted from the crowd as they looked over to see none other than Bane with his girlfriend who he met back in Gotham City. They took a moment to greet the couple since it was a surprise that he'd be the one to host a birthday party.

"If I'd known you were here, I'd invite you all. Especially to celebrate the adoption of our daughter, Goldilocks."

Bane informed them as he pointed over to where the shark kids had gathered to a place where they grabbed plastic swords and were fighting a fake dragon. They were trying to save a small girl with perfect blonde hair and wearing a pink dress. Looking over at her parents standing near the others, she rushed over to be picked up by Bane who wanted to meet her father's friends.

"She smells like a lemon."

The shark told Harley as he was able to smell Goldilock's scent leaving them to laugh at the boy's joke. Deciding to let the children play amongst themselves and check out the food that was available to the kids, Rocksteady felt a bit envious of what was happening and needed space from the partying going on. Bebop looked at his friend grabbing a cup of fruit punch, the warthog decided to see what was wrong.

"Buddy? I know this place isn't our type of thing but they got free snacks. And those small bags we can take, stuff we wanted back when we were in the Foot Clan and those ninjas thought we were too big for that."

Bringing up about their past wants that people thought were ridiculous of them to have. Rocksteady shook at the question since he wanted one of those bags when the party was done, the issue he had was personal and something they'd seen long ago.

"I'm thinking about my daughter, Rachel."

Rocksteady answered his friend leaving Bebop to spit his juice on one of the waiters passing by since that wasn't something his friend would think about. Especially about how he and Karai have a kid who's got his mother's side in being a ninja and punk fashion sense. Rachel? She had Rocksteady and Power Girl's strength and open personality and enjoyed doing anything that involved smashing stuff for no reason.

"With these kids running around and driving their parents crazy, I'm nervous when that'll happen to me. And if I'm going to be ready to be a dad, especially since Harley and Ivy look ready to have their daughter."

Explaining why he seemed upset and looked over at their friends who seemed annoyed by the shark antics and seemed to enjoy it. Especially how Harley was comforting the shark that wanted to stay close to her and Ivy checking if the child wanted anything to eat. Bebop felt odd about it and thought about the idea since his kid would eventually dad his former boss's kid in the future.

"Buddy. When the time comes when we drop the chainsaw and sledgehammer to be dads, we're fucking rock it like always. But I know you got it once we reach that moment, other than that. Let's keep the party going until our babes get the buns in the oven."

Encouraging him that they'd continue being badass mutants until they reach that moment in life when their kids are born and become dads. Smiling at his words and handing Bebop a cupcake, the two continued to enjoy the birthday until they heard screaming coming from the other room for them to check it out to see Nanaue's kids in the pool scaring the other kids.

"Can I join them?"

Goldilocks asked Bane and Betty to participate with them as she enjoyed seeing them have fun, unlike the other kids who were invited to the party. Continuing to watch the aquatic chaos go on, one of the parents called out for animal control as several guards came in with tranquilizer guns and fired a dart at one of the sharks as they collapsed on a chair. Harley watched her god kids running away in fear that awoken something inside and looked at the security guards who tranquilized them.

"Those sharks might be little shits, but those are my god sharks. And no one is going land a hand on them!"

Letting out her parental instincts by grabbing several water noddles off the floor and starts fighting the guards. Sharing the same feeling that Harley was expressing toward the guards, Rocksteady grabs a set of pool toys and starts bashing them since he doesn't want to scare the kids. Bebop and Ivy watched the scenery since it felt personal to them and didn't want to interrupt the fight, with it finished at the guards taken down. The owner of the building walked in to see what happened and was about to shout at the violence that was displayed but was stopped by Betty before he could say anything.

"Before you say anything about the mess you came in. Know that we paid Lena Luthor to have our party here and any damages that happened during the event. Also, those sharks are princes and princesses of a friend of ours. So unless you want to deal with your boss and a shark king, I suggest you ignore it and get these guards out of here before I let Bane show you what happens when you send people after his friends."

She threatened him and brought up how they would pay for whatever happened during the party. Continued to glare at the manager to back off, he did so and got his security guards up and allowed them to continue their party in peace. Bane smirked underneath his mask about how scary his girlfriend could be while the others cheered at her standing up for the shark children.

"Can't wait to see this on the news. Other than that, pool party!"

Bebop shouted before jumping into the pool despite remembering how sharp the shark's teeth were as he ignored the idea since they were kids having fun. The others decided to do the same except for Ivy who looked over at Harley who was having fun with the children, it made her think about their future daughter, Lucy Quinzel. While the thought of raising her with Harley scared her and the possibility of them becoming mothers seemed likely with their friends having families, she was thinking about what she'd done to the scientist she met at the Botanic labs. For the moment, Ivy decided to enjoy the party with her friends since it was unlikely she'd get this moment again after she starts her work as a scientist for Lena Luthor and Metropolis.
