Chapter 4: Rias

Rias Gremory was a bit of your typical gal, the girl next door type that is easy to get along with and even easier to fall in love with if you weren't careful. Well, aside from the fact she wasn't human, but rather a pure blooded devil descendant of the House of Gremory.

But other than that tiny detail, she was just like any other girl. Of course, she was absolutely drop dead gorgeous. With vibrant red hair that fell to her lower back, blue-green eyes that could captivate anyone who looked into them.

And of course there was her figure, with a large breast, thin waist and wide hips. She was any man's dream.

But unfortunately for them, she had very high standards. Perhaps not in terms of looks perhaps, but definitely of what they were made of in terms of character and personality.

But her taste in men aside, she was also a huge otaku. Secretly obsessing over anime whenever she had a chance to indulge in her chuuni side. Which wasn't as common unfortunately due to her duties as the heiress of her family and her job as the overseer of Kouh.

And of course, attending to her cute little servants. Her best friend and queen, Akeno Himejima, her valiant and chivalrous knight, Kiba Yuto, and her steadfast and brave rook Koneko Toujou.

All three of her peerage members were incredibly important to her, and she made sure to take excellent care of their needs and well beings.

And yet, for the life of her she couldn't figure out what was wrong with her rook. Ever since Koneko had gotten into pro-wrestling, and happened to find out that Kuoh had a wrestling promotion. Her nekoshou had become more and more obsessed with the sport.

And it wasn't even real! It was all scripted!

Then came the day she saw her rook talk to that blonde college freshman, the girl had become more and more insistent that Rias needed to get into wrestling for some reason.

Even tonight, Koneko was out watching the local promotion live.

And so Rias remained up through the evening waiting for her servant to come home safe and sound to the apartment the three females of the peerage shared.

It was by 10:38 pm that her precious rook showed up, a small barely noticeable spring in her step.

"Welcome home, Koneko," Rias said as she greeted the small white haired girl with a gentle smile, "Did you enjoy the show,"

The white haired girl nodded, and then said, "Naruto-san is going to compete next week for the Undisputed Championship,"

Internally, Rias couldn't help but find that name pretentious and edgy. Really, they couldn't come up with anything better? Undisputed Championship? What, were they gonna grab every wrestler in existence and make them compete?

But externally she smiled, "That's good… Naruto-san? Isn't that the boy who goes to the same school as us? He's a wrestler?"

Koneko pouted the tiniest bit, "Yes, Rias-sama, I told you that earlier today,"

"I'm sorry sweety, I'm just tired and didn't remember," The red haired devil said, patting the cushion next to her motioning for the girl to take a seat, and as soon as Koneko sat down. Rias enveloped her into a hug, and kissed her cheek, asking, "So, you seem really taken with this Naruto-san,"

"Rias-sama, I don't like him like that," The white haired devil replied with a deadpan stare, "He's just my favorite wrestler, he's relatable, strong, and kind. He never gives up, and he kinda reminds me of you a bit, you want to be a top rating game champion. He wants to be the best fighter there is. You want to make your family proud, he wants to make his family proud,"

Then she turned to Rias, "You're going with me next week buchou. Naruto-san will be fighting for the title, and I'm nervous,"

"Why?" Rias asked with the first bit of genuine curiosity in the topic.

Koneko's shoulder's slump, "If Naruto-san loses, he will have to quit fighting forever,"

"Why is that?" Rias asked raising an eyebrow, "Why does that make you nervous,"

"Because Naruto-san is my favorite… but he has never won against the current champion," Koneko stated and then she sighed, "And today he ended up being taken to the hospital, usually Naruto-san always sticks around for a couple hours to talk to people and sign autographs, but he was hurt bad during his marathon matches,"

"Koneko, remember that wrestling is scripted, it's probably a stunt to build up excitement and drive sells, it's not real," Rias said trying to calm her rook down, "I'll go with you next Saturday, and you'll see, Naruto-san will be fine,"

"But it is real buchou," Koneko replied, "KEW doesn't script endings, and even if they did. It's real to me,"

"You will see my sweet girl, everything will be fine," Rias assured her rook taking her into a hug, "I'll go with you, everything will be fine, i promise,"

"Okay, buchou," Koneko said as she hugged her king back, "But you will watch today's match, monday after school,"

"Why monday?" The red haired devil asked.

The rook shrugged, "You'll see,"

Monday morning rolled around, and Rias was making breakfast for herself and her peerage, which she ate with everyone present, Akeno, Kiba, and Koneko.

As Koneko finished her plate, she stood up and want to wash it, when Rias said, "Just leave it there sweetie, I'll wash everyone's dishes before we head to school,"

"No, allow me Rias-sama," Kiba said offering to do the task himself, "You cooked a delicious breakfast as always, let me handle the dishes,"

"Thank you, Darling, chivalrous as always," Rias thanked her knight with a dazzling smile.

"Buchou," Koneko called out, "Remember we are watching last Saturday's episode after school,"

"Oh, Rias-sama finally cracked and decided to give wrestling a try?" Akeno asked in a teasing voice, "Are you that down bad? You want to watch sexy hunky men get sweaty with each other wearing spandex underwear? Has Koneko finally managed to corrupt our infallible king?"

"Disgusting pervert," the white haired girl replied, scrunching her nose at the imagery, when would the sadist learn? It wasn't about the good looking men. It was about the pageantry! The drama!

"Nothing like that Akeno," Rias said waving her black haired king away, "Koneko wanted me to go with her next week, apparently some big hotshot is going to be competing,"

"Oh, not some big hotshot, buchou, Naruto-san, my favorite wrestler," Koneko said, putting her hands on her hip and giving her king a deadpan stare.

"The criminal?" Kiba couldn't help but ask in surprise.

"Criminal? Oh my, our sweet innocent Koneko is into bad boys? Who would have thought," Akeno continued with her teasing, earning a glare from the rook.

Rias however, raised an eyebrow, "The Criminal?"

Kiba scratched the back of his head sheepishly as he said, "He almost got arrested last year for getting into a big fight. It happened last year and at a different school, I guess he flipped his life around though, I don't think Koneko would be attracted to a bad person, though he is a bit older for her,"

"I am not Attracted to Naruto-san," Koneko said in frustration, "He reminds me too much of buchou to like him like that, besides. He doesn't really know me and I don't know him,"

The school day came and went, and before Rias knew it she was at her desk in the club room signing away paperwork. Waiting for Koneko to show up, distracted by the thoughts of who to add to her peerage. There were not a lot of people at Kuoh academy that showed promise or signs of having some sort of sacred gear, which was a bit disheartening.

She was so distracted by her thoughts that she didn't notice her rook come in until she announced her presence, "Buchou! I have brought Naruto-san to explain the matches to you as we rewatch them. That way you know what's going on for Saturday,"

Rias couldn't help but blink, as she got her first up close look at the wrestler her rook had been obsessing about. He would typically pass as a cute and handsome boy… if it wasn't for the fact that the uniform did little to hide his muscular build which was carved for showmanship.

That took him from cute to sexy, with that golden blond hair, those blue eyes and those exotic whisker marks that made him look like a cat, or perhaps a fox?

She coughed into her hand, realizing she had been checking out the blonde and urbed to her Rook and said, "Sure, Koneko. Naruto-san can grab a seat and you can get the TV ready, i still have a bit of paperwork left to finish,"

She buried her face into the paperwork to avoid being seen in embarrassment, she heard Koneko tell the blond to sit, and then her pen had been snatched out of her hand.

Rias looked up, and only for Koneko to grab her by the hand and drag her over to the couch, where she was told to sit next to the blonde, as her rook ordered, "Now introduce yourselves,"

And left them there to put the match on the tv.

Naruto rubbed the back of his head and said, "Uh, I am Naruto Uzumaki,"

"Rias Gremory," Rias replied, extending her hand to shake the blond's own, "Pleasure to meet you,"

Koneko spoke as she came back, a tray of sweets in hand for herself of course, and the remote in hand, "Now watch, any questions to Naruto-san please,"

Which of course, in Koneko speech roughly translated to don't ask me any stupid questions, that's why I brought the professional here.

Honestly, if Rias hadn't been so embarrassed about checking out the blond man, she would have laughed at how lively, demanding and outspoken her normally quiet and reserved rook was acting.

Two hours later

"Fighting for that belt is the best way I can express to my parents that I will make enough money so they can retire and spend the rest of their time on this earth with each other and with their sons, not working for a corporation that doesn't care about them. Fighting for that belt is how i can tell my little brother, I am gonna provide for him the best life and the best education i didn't get to have,"

He stepped closer to Ryudo and stated, "Because fighting on this ring, in front of all these amazing people. That is the only thing that fulfills a hole in my heart I've had since I could remember. Call it a sickness, call it an addiction, whatever you want, but I can't stop. And I will do anything and everything to get that belt around my waist!"

Rias munched on some popcorn as she rested her head on Naruto's shoulders. Embarrassment be damned, she had been on an anime dry spell lately and this was hitting the spot for her entertainment starved brain.

Also, not for nothing, but that made the blonde she was resting on about twice as attractive as before. A strong, ambitious man who cared about his family and put them first? Sign her the fuck up.

"Uh, excuse me Rias-san… but where did you grab a woobie from?" Naruto asked, looking quite confused as to how he ended up under said woobie himself as the red haired devil next to him used him as her personal cuddling pillow.

"Don't worry about it," Rias replied, grabbing a fistful of popcorn and stuffing it into his mouth to keep him quiet.

"Fine," Ryudo finally gave in, "You are a fucking addict, who needs his fix. But you know what Naruto, I'm gonna fix this addiction for you. Next saturday, I'll give you a title shot. But if i am putting this title on this line, it ain't fair for you to not put something up. So next week, when we fight. If you don't win, if you don't beat me. Your career is over… you can't go to any other promotion either, or take a sabbatical. If I beat you, you stop fighting, forever. What do you say, are you willing to put your career on the line for this belt?"

"Oh boo!" Rias shouted at the tv throwing a handful of unpopped kernel of popcorn at the poor innocent tv screen. She looked at the Naruto and said, "He scared of you, you can beat him. I believe in you"

"Thanks," Naruto replied, a bit of confusion in his voice, "I guess?"

The tv continued playing, as the final segment rang out.

Naruto raised his microphone again, not even hesitating, as he spoke, "I'll raise you the stake. Since you have set the terms, my career, for your belt. I will face you, inside a cell. Everything goes, and it doesn't stop, until pinfall. No submission, no disqualification, it ends when I pin you, and become the new undisputed champion!"

Koneko turned the TV off once the credit started rolling, and looked back at where her king was sitting with the real Naruto, and noticed her blond friend was looking a bit uncomfortable as Rias falling asleep on his shoulder, the bowl of popcorn forgotten.

Naruto himself was quite tired, also falling asleep himself.

Koneko smiled, Rias had filled in the hole left behind by her sister's abandonment, and Naruto had become a figure she looked up to and hoped to be like one day. And seeing them get along and comfortable around each other made her happy.

Seeing that she herself was tired. She decided to join in on the nap fest. Resting her head on Naruto's legs after moving to the couch and also went to sleep
