Chapter 5: Hell In A Cell

The Saturday after his six match marathon came by in the blink of an eye, and tonight was his big night, it was do or die for Naruto Uzumaki. Either he won, and became the undisputed champion, or he lost and lost his entire career in the process. With two hours to go until the start of the show, the door opened to those who had VIP passes for autographs and to have a chance to chop it up with their favorite wrestlers.

Those two hours he used to shake hands with as many people as he could, take pictures with them, sign autographs, and make memories. Memories not for himself, for as many faces as he saw, he doubted he would remember them all. But memories for the families that came and brought their kids that looked up to him like a superhero.

He may not have been as famous as wrestlers from New Japan Wrestling, or even the WWE. But he wanted to make the most out of every single second he got to have as a wrestler. For every kid and parent and teenager and adult who believed in him and hoped he would win.

Because he finally had the acknowledgment he didn't have in his previous life. He had the family he didn't have, and as much as he missed Sakura, and as much as he missed Kakashi-sensei, or Granny Tsunade, or the Old Man Hokage, or The Pervy Sage.

He had something far greater now. He had a family, a mother and a father, and a little brother. He had the love of thousands of dedicated fans who went to every show, and lined his pockets with those commissions he got from merch sales.

And while he didn't have super powers anymore. Somehow, he was more of the person who he had wanted to be when he was a ninja of the Village Hidden in the Leaves.

He wondered about his original parents. Not his biological family in this world who had given him up to a loving home, but the parents he never got to know in the elemental nations. Were they looking down on him with pride?

Well, it didn't matter, because the first hour ticked by, and the second hour until the countdown to his match started ticking. The final few people waiting on line finally cleared out, and he got to go back into his locker room.

Once in the locker room, he took a shower and got changed into his wrestling attire. Which consisted of his orange zubaz pants, underneath which he wore knee pads. As well as the black armbands he wore on both his arms with the Uzumaki swirl stitch on them. And a black trench coat, which also had the uzumaki swirl on the back.

With forty five minutes left on the clock, he left the locker room, intending on finding his family before the show. But he didn't have to worry, as just outside the locker room, escorted by a security guard, his parents and little brother were there.

And along with them, were Koneko and Rias.

"Hey," he said as he walked up to them.

And of course, Issei had a rather predictable response, "NARUTO! Why didn't you tell me you were friends with one of the Two Great Onee-Sama's and the mascot of Kouh!"

Naruto immediately socked Issei in the head and yelled back, "Behave issei! They are ladies, not objects to be gwaked and perved on!"

Then he turned to his two guests and gave them a slight bow, "I'm sorry, my foolish little brother doesn't know or care for controlling his impulses,"

"The perv should die," Koneko replied crossing her arms. But Rias put a hand on her head, and stated, "It's fine. He's just a boy,"

"Rias-san, Koneko-san," Naruto said turning to his parents, "These are my parents, Gorou, and Miki Hyoudou,"

And then he introduced his parents to his recent acquaintances, "Mom, Dad, this little one here is Koneko. She goes to Kuoh along with Rias. She's also been one of my biggest supporters, and Rias is…"

"I am Koneko's caretaker," Rias said as she extended her arm and shook each of the Hyoudou's arms, "Pleasure to meet you, Mr and Mrs Hyoudou-san,"

"Pleasure is ours dear," Miki replied shaking the girls hand with both of her own, "We are relieved that our eldest seems to have finally found some friends,"

"Mom," Naruto said, groaning.

However, Rias just giggled, "It's fine Mrs Hyoudou, Naruto-san has been a fantastic rolemodel for my little Koneko here and we are happy to support an athlete from Kuoh Academy all the same,"

Naruto looked at the time and said, "Shit, I have to make this short guys. I have to be at the pre-show meeting in five,"

He hugged his mom first, who told him, "You go out there and win, okay? We believe in you,"

He gave his father and his brother a hug as well, listening to their words of encouragement.

Then he turned to Koneko, kneeling down to her level, and asked "You're ready to watch the best show of your life?"

"Yes," Koneko answered, adding, "But you better win, or else I won't have a good time,"

"Ditto," Naruto said as he stood up, and gave her a few headpats, then turned to Rias, "Um, I hope you enjoy the show, Rias-san,"

"I hope you win as well, Naruto-san," Rias said with a small smile, "You have a lot of people who are counting on you,"

Main event

Naruto and Ryudo stood next to each other behind the curtains. Any second now his music theme would hit and he would be making his way to the ring. He could hear the deafening crowd on the other side of the curtains, as the ring announcer proclaimed the contest about to start. With all other matches over, it was finally time.

With Naruto's entrance theme playing first, he turned to his opponent. Breaking Kayfabe for a moment, Ryudo extended his And, and the blonde shook it, as the champion said, "I wish you luck. And you better win man, I don't want to see you go for real. It's been fun feuding with you,"

Naruto tipped his head, "Well, if you are cool with it, I'd like to do a spot with the three amigos on top of the cage. At least throw me that mulligan if this is gonna be my last match,"

Ryudo nodded, and Naruto came out from behind the curtains at last.

On the ground I lay

Motionless in pain

I can see my life flashing before my eyes

Did I fall asleep

Is this all a dream?

Wake me up

I'm living a nightmare

Naruto paused half way down the entrance, as the bridge to his theme hit.

I will not die (I will not die)

He stood in a horse stance with his right hand curled into a fist besides his hip and his other hand extended in a stop position.

I will survive

And when the drums into the chorus hit he punched downwards, as pyrotechnics went off behind him. He looked forward. The steel structure stands sinisterly trapping the ring inside and the immediate area surrounding it.

It was his first time entering the steel structure. But he made his bed by picking this particular style and now he had to lay in it. Somehow he kept forgetting he was no longer a jinchuuriki with superhuman composition and fast healing.

He was just a normal human now.

The ring announcer introduced him, "Introducing, from Kuoh Town, Japan. Measuring one point eighty five meters and weighing in at one hundred and two kilograms. The challenger: Naruto! U-Zu-Maki!"

Taking care to do that inflection she used whenever she said his name. The crowd went crazy, cheering and hollering, giving Naruto a warm feeling in his stomach and easing his nerves a bit.

He walked inside the cage, and walked around to the steel steps and got in the ring. He climbed into the ring post facing south east and raised his right fist into the air.

Then he got down and did the same with the post facing north west.

Then he shed his trench coat and handed it to the referee. As Ryudo's song hit, a slow ballad by the Poor's man poison.

They all laughed as he turned around slow

They said, "You ain't welcome 'round here anymore

You just might as well go"

Ryudo walked in real slow, taking his time. Looking like he was seizing his opponent. Once he got down halfway down the ramp, he paused and took off the championship belt and raised it, and pyrotechnics also went off for him.

Then Ryudo rested his championship on his shoulder and continued his slow and deliberate as he walked into the cage, and then walked around towards the steel steps and got into the ring.

Ryudo handed his title to the ref, who lifted it, As Momoki Asami introduced the challenge, "Introducing, From Hokkaido, Japan. Measuring two meters, and weighing in at one hundred and twenty seven kilograms, the Undisputed KEW CHAMPION! Ryudo!"

The referee held up the title above his head, and presented it to everyone in the crowd and then, gave the signal, and the bell rang.

While the referee got out of the way to hand the title to the refs outside of the cage. Naruto and Ryudo circled each other for a bit. Their hands held out forward as they went to grab each other.

One hand grabbed the offending limb latching in the other's hair, while the other hand was in their opponent's hair as they got into a contest of wills. Until Naruto kicked the champion in the stomach, and began raining blows. With a right hook to the face, then a left jab, followed by a spinning kick to the mid section.

Ryudo caught the kick, but the blond challenger jumped up with a counter spin kick to the face. Forcing the champion to let go, as they both fell to the ground.

Naruto was quick to run towards the ropes and use them to propel himself as he spun on his heel and bounced off, and as his opponent stood up, he jumped, catching Ryudo's neck with his inner elbow and spinning around to a sling blade.

The blonde stood up again and ran towards the opposite ropes, once again turning on his heels as he bounced off the ropes and ran until he saw his opponent sit up and jumped, raising both knees delivering a double knee into Ryudos back.

Then he went onto the south east corner, and climbed to the third rope, where he jumped off into a Swanton bomb, however as he was about to land on Ryudo. The champion raised his knees, countering the flying blonde.

Naruto held his lower back, trying to breath away the shooting pain. When Ryudo grabbed him by the hair to stand him up, and then threw him into the corner.

As Naruto hit the turnbuckles he felt Ryudo grabbed his face as the blonde fell back into a back breaker.

Trying to put some space between himself and his opponent, Naruto rolled from the canvas into the apron and fell into the floor below.

Ryudo followed him, casually walking up to Naruto who was trying to use the cage fencing to stand up.

The champion was smiling in sadistic delight, before his eye caught the apron, when Ryudo caught an idea. He peeled away from his opponent and raised the apron skirt, looking underneath the ring and found a chair. He reached down to pull it out, however as his finger slipped onto the chair, he was suddenly hit by a knee to the face.

Naruto grabbed him by the hair and pulled him along and then pushed him into the steel steps.

Rias watched the match in front of her with a keen eye. Though she hadn't felt it the first time she met the blond due to how surprise she had been at Koneko's unusually vocal and demanding behavior, and then being too immersed in the dvd, she could feel it clear as day now.

She had felt it since she had first seen him today. He had a sacred gear, and while yes, his little brother also gave off the aura of having a sacred gear as well. As she watched the athletic specimen known as Naruto fight she decided she wanted to get to know him and possibly approach him to ask him to join her peerage.

Besides, he already seemed to know how to fight well enough, as Mrs Hyoudou was telling her earlier on the story of how Naruto had gotten into wrestling, having been previously enrolled in martial arts since he was six years old.

She watched him maintain his offensive assault on the current champion. As the blonde retreived a tool box and used it to assault his opponent.

Then the champion put the brakes on Naruto's offensive assault, taking the tool box from the blonde, and instead tossing Naruto into the steel steps. Forcing the blond wrestler to eat them face first.

She felt Koneko grab her shirt, and she put a hand on her little kitten's shoulder as she couldn't help but gasp as Ryudo powerbomb Naruto into the steel cage hard enough to force the door of the cage open, as the fighting spilled into the outside of the cage.

She grew concerned as she watched Ryudo climb the fence, it looked tall, between five to six meters tall, and a fall from that height could severely hurt or possibly kill a normal human.

However Naruto seemed to recover as he followed Ryudo up, and then the champion reached the top and got on his knees to try and punch the blond down.

But Naruto grabbed the champion by the hair and slammed his face into the horizontal steel beam. And finally made it to the top of the cage as well.

She grew more concerned as Naruto and Ryudo made it to their feet on top of the cage and started exchanged blows so close to the edge. But it seemed the two men had enough common sense as they began to move away from the edge.

Rias turned to Mrs Hyoudou and said, "Your son is either insanely brave or bravely stupid,"

"Girl, you don't know how many heart attacks i have whenever I watch him fight," Miki replied with a voice full of concern as well.

Rias turned back to the action, just in time to watch Naruto kick Ryudo in the stomach. And pick him up into a fireman's carry- and then toss the champion over his shoulders, swinging the man's legs over his head as they both fell into the roof steel structure.

Koneko couldn't help but gasp, as she said to Rias, "I think the roof is break if they try that again,"

Then Naruto picked up Ryudo and put him in a headlock, then doing a little dance shaking his shoulders, before picking his opponent up vertically. And fell backwards.

Then the blond, who still had the champion in a headlock, simply flipped them around and stood them up again, and did the same maneuver.

"He's going for it, the three amigos," Issei mentioned.

"What's the three amigos?" Mr Hyoudou asked.

This time Koneko answered, "It was a move made popular by a wrestler from another company, Eddie Guerrero. He passed away over a decade ago but a lot of people still do it in his memory. It's three vertical supplexes without letting go of your opponent,"

And true to issei's commentary, Naruto stood them up again, without letting go, and hoisted Ryudo up.

"They're gonna die, it's gonna break," Koneko whispered, but Rias enhanced supernatural hearing allowed her to pick up on her rook's whispering.

And then Naruto fall back that third time, the steel fencing of the cage did indeed break. Dropping the two fighters into the ring below. The Stadium went dead silent, aside from Mrs Hyudo and Koneko's gasps.

Ryudo fell on his back and bounced a couple of times hard. While Naruto fell on one leg, which the red haired devil could see twist nastily.

Both wrestlers screamed as they felt the impact. Referees and medics rushing inside of the cage and the ring.

Naruto clutched his ankle as the medics rushed to his side, but he simply shook his head. He needed to win, he needed to be the last man standing, so he simply shook his head as the medics asked him, "Do you need any help? Anything hurt?"

"I'm fine, check on Ryudo," Naruto said as he pulled himself into the corner and sat laying back against the turnbuckle covers.

After a couple of minutes, the commotion calmed down. But the stadium was quiet, so quiet that Naruto could hear the announcers in the commentary table actually talk.

And it seemed the match was still good to continue as Ryudo was left alone by the medics and referees as he insisted on finishing the match as well.

Naruto used the ropes to stand up, he tried to put pressure on his right foot but the pain was too much so he favored his left.

As Ryudo began to stand up slowly, Naruto tried to run towards the champion, but ended up looking more like a one foot hop as he jumped and delivered a superman punch onto his opponent's face.

The two fell onto the canvas. As Naruto flipped onto his back, and clutched his right foot in his hands. He heard Ryudo calling out to him in a pained and hoarse voice, "Naru…to… finisher… finisher… do it,"

"You okay," Naruto whispered back, "Why didn't you call it if you aren't good,"

Ryudo took a couple of gulps of breath and then replied in a wheezy voice, "I'm not… gonna die… i can… finish… just finish… me,"

Naruto finally sat up, ignoring the pain in his ankle as he rested on his knees- punching the canvas.

He watched as Ryudo struggle to stand to his feet, wobbling back and forth, as he stood with his feet crossed.

Naruto hobbled with one leg and jumped grabbing Ryudo's head. He felt his opponents hand on his back as they let gravity do the work for them, and they hit the canvas with a loud smack.

Naruto once again had to clutch his ankle for a couple seconds. Then he sat up and flipped Ryudo around gently, and pinned him in such a way his body wouldn't actually be pressing against his very obviously injured opponent.

Then the referee smacked the canvas once, then twice, and finally a third time. The bell rang, and there was a moment of silence followed by the outburst of cheering and hollering.

The steel cage was slowly lifted, and he heard Miss Sasami say, "The Winner, and your NEW KEW UNDISPUTED CHAMPION, Naruto! U-Zu-Maki!"

Mr Miyagi came into the ring and personally handed him the championship, and said amidst the cheering and hollering, "Bask in the glory of the moment my boy. You won your first big title. That only happens once,"

"Mr Miyagi," Naruto said as he found where his family was sitting, "Do you mind if my family comes onto the ring? I'd like to share this moment with them."

"Do you want me to also bring your lady friends?" Mr Miyagi asked, and Naruto could see the dollar signs in the man's eyes.

"Sure," Naruto replied just basking in the moment.

His eyes momentarily turned to his defeated foe, who was walking up the ramp with the help of two referees. Stubborn as always.

Naruto decided to stand up, careful not to put any weight on his right foot. And lifted his champion over his head, as the cheering got louder.

His father and mother joined him giving him a long hug. The Issei looked at him and said, "Man you gave us a scare,"

Naruto simply smirked and said, "Don't try it at home, I am a trained professional,"

Then he turned to Koneko, who was giving him a wide look. He looked at the belt in his hand, and lowered it to where she could see it, and said, "Hold it,"

Koneko gingerly took the belt, and Naruto grabbed her wrist and lifted it. For all to witness his moment of triumph as he acknowledged his fans through her.

Then he felt Rias beside him, as she put her hands on his shoulder and whispered on his ear, "She may not show it, but you have made her night and possible her year,"

He turned to Rias, but as he did so, she claimed his lips.

This of course, caused the crowd to cheer louder, and given the high he felt right now, he just went along with the kiss as he snaked his arm around her waist before breaking the kiss.

She looked at him with a small blush, "That was meant for you cheek,"

"I don't mind," Naruto said, "But at least let me take you to dinner next time,"
