Later that evening, Harry, Susan, and Luna were quietly sitting by the edge of the Black Lake feeling sad on the five year anniversary of Pandora Lovegood's passing but feeling like they had paid a very respectful tribute to Pandora by wearing the Puffapod necklaces.

Unfortunately, Draco Malfoy passed them and said, "Hey, Potter, Bones, Lovegood, those retarded necklaces are so disgusting!"

"We're wearing them in tribute my mom, Pandora, who passed away five years ago today," responded Luna defiantly, "She was a flower junkie and Puffapods were her favorite flowers."

"Doesn't make those things any less hideous," snarled Draco, "Now give them to me to destroy or I'll put all three of you in detention. Remember that I am a Prefect and can dole out punishments."

"No, Malfoy," snarled Luna, "I'm not allowing you to destroy my mom's memory!"

Draco retrieved his wand from his right hand pocket with his right and pointed his wand directly at Luna's Puffapod necklace.

"Reducto! "cried Draco.

But Luna dived and the spell missed the necklace.

Harry, Susan, and Luna now sprinted as fast they could to get away. Fortunately, they were all much faster runners than Draco and got away.

Draco was left behind at the Black Lake's edge and a voice called out, "Mr. Malfoy, that is an abuse of your position."

It was Professor Flitwick, and he was closely trailed by Professor Sprout.

"Mr. Malfoy, " said Sprout sharply, "The staff will be meeting tomorrow to discuss the incident that Filius and I just witnessed. I know Filch and Snape won't do anything about your behavior, but I expect the rest of the staff agree that you should be removed as a prefect."

"Dumbledore won't remove me," strutted Draco confidently.

"He will have no choice," said Sprout seriously, "The staff will have ways of forcing his hand on this."

"Dumbledore may not know," piped up Flitwick, "That a prefect can be removed from his or her position by a vote of the majority of the staff. And the definition of the staff at Hogwarts will allow the inclusion of several people who will be repulsed by what you tried to do tonight."

"And," added Sprout, "A week's worth of detentions with me starting tomorrow night."

"Mr. Malfoy, " spat Flitwick, "You were the worst prefect choice of all time from the start. It was obvious that you would abuse your position and use it to bully more vulnerable students. Dumbledore and Snape just didn't care."

"They like me," smirked Draco, "Besides, it's not normal to wear necklaces made of Puffapods. And Potter has no male pride running around in a necklace featuring pink and purple. I thought Potter might be better this year when I saw he wasn't so chummy with that jumped up Granger mudblood."

"Mr. Malfoy," said Flitwick sharply, "Twenty points from Slytherin for using that offensive "m" word."

"More proof that he is not perfect material." added Sprout, "We can add that to our list of things that demonstrates that Mr. Malfoy should lose his position."

Meanwhile, Harry, Susan, and Luna had found refuge in Classroom Eleven.

"Malfoy being a prefect is fucking insane," snarled Harry bitterly, "He's always been a bully, but what I saw and heard him try to do tonight takes his scuminess to heights hitherto unseen."

"Being given the prefect badge did seem incredible for Draco to have happenen considering who he already is, " said Susan matter of factly, "It increased his sense of entitlement. He thinks he's a dictator who can tell everyone else what to do."

"Malfoy is a horrible person, plain and simple, " said Luna bluntly, "This is exactly the type of thing he would do and being a prefect made him feel he could get away with it."

"Let's hope he doesn't," said Susan firmly.

"Malfoy should lose his badge, " said Harry fiercely, "I can't imagine how he must be treating the first years."

"Harry and Susan," said Luna gently, "I really do want to thank both of you so much for wearing those Puffapod necklaces today in tribute to my mom. I am truly grateful that you both shared in this tribute with me and showed so much respect towards my mom and me. Trust me, Harry, trust me, Susan, I will remember this."

"Do you plan do this tribute every September 4th?" Harry asked Luna.

"Not necessarily, " answered Luna, "I will do some kind of tribute to mom every September 4th, but it might not necessarily be in the same way every year."

"I promise to partake in this tribute to Pandora every year, whatever it is," said Susan fiercely.

"I also promise to be part of these tributes every year," said Harry firmly.

"Thank you, Harry, thank you, Susan," replied Luna softly.

And this, all three of them ended the evening by taking the Puffapod necklaces off and raising them over their heads at the exact same nanosecond.
