It's something that came to mind the other night but I finally decided that whenever Rock Lee and Kyō are together "You'll Never find a Love Like mine" will play at least h til the time skip. Green eyes,great hair, and attitude that's Rock Lees type But because he saw Kyō first that's what he's after. Anyway you know the drill if I can get sued for it I don't own it. Let's begin

In the forest so far more than a few deaths occurred. When Arata was chosen to be this years proctor, he knew this. It was simply a fact of life for ninja and he'd been living this life for a while. It would seem that some things don't change with time though. It was fear that held him now, fear of his past, fear of his sensei, fear of dying. It was all to possible for that snake bastard to turn a reunion frok a game to a life or death situation. I don't know how Anko san put up with it. He thought as he dashed off into the trees.

"So...you came and you brought...no one with you?" Arata turned around to face his enemy. There in the trunk if the enormous tree was his former sensei and one of the top threats in the world, Orichimaru. There was a time when seeing the fellow orphaned shinobi inspired something bright in him. Now, when he saw the mask of damaged flesh poorly covering his former senseis face it only inspired dark rage.

"You think Im stupid? Katon:Dragon bullet jutsu." As if theyd been fighting the whole time the two quickly jumped into battle. The creepy snake like man pulled himself out of the tree in time to dodge the jutsu. He was quickly cuahht by a right hook to the face sending him back on his rear to look up at his former student. "I want to know why your here. Now and no bullshit!" Arata had his sword on Orochimarus throat, burning away the extra layer of flesh with how much katon chakra he was chanaling through it. "Well...after such a warm welcome, I don't see why not. Im after a boy here today. Should he survive, the boy might actually show even more promise than Anko. Oh yes im sure he'll be a much better investment than she turned out to be." Arata had heard enough. He rammed his sword through the mans neck. He wasn't satisfied with how quicklyit ended. Orochimaru was a snake that deserved to die a long and slow death. He was so cuaght up in his thoughts that he didn't realize he'd been cuaght in a jutsu. Shadowy like snakes had wrapped around his body and quickly constricted as they (and him) were pulled towards Orochimaru. The body he had stabbed morohed into sludge melting away to the forest floor. A substitution jutsu.

"Oh I'm hurt Arata. After all the time we spent together, I even left you alive for Anko. Ohhh but maybe thats in the mix?" He said grinning evilly. "Yes it is isn't it. The orohan nobody ever picked not even those you loved and amired gave you the time of day. I'd be angry too but unlike you I've made myself a real threat. You clearly haven't tried to get any better than the day I left. As your teacher im so disappointed." He said patting Arata on the cheek. He took a kunai out and oressed it against his throat. "I do hope you haven't gotten dumber though." Orichumaru said as he watched his former student try to wriggle out of the snakes grip and claw at his face. "Do not end these exams. There is, after all, much more to come." And with that he left, vanishing into the night.

"Ugh I cant believe we haven'trun into anyone yet." Ino said. She was sick of the forest and all the moving around for nothing. Sure they had plenty to eat but it was taking forever to get to the tower and the only time they ever saw people was when they had to hide from them the previous day.

"I don't think you mean that Ino. We might be one of the weakest teams out here. It's such a drag!" Shikamaru said. He was also tired of the forest but mainly because it forced him to be more vigilant. Extra work was just the worst in his opinion. Between Choji's munching and Ino's relentless complaints he had to constantly put the team into hiding. That was the case now and as they watched from the bushes he couldn't hwlp but feel that someone was playing a cruel joke on them. It was team Gai, the one with the Hyuga. So it came to no surprise when they wwre cuaght by his dojutsu. "I see you." He said Byakugan activated. Team 10 came out, knowing they couldn't get around the boys sight. Ino tried to charm him into doing her bidding and was annoyed that it had not only failed but been used as an insult against her. Weak im not WEAK! She thiught two herself punching the air as the other group walked away. Back still turned the Neji Hyuga stopped. "If your fists are raised does that mean you want to fight?" He asked. Ino visibly paled and shook her head no frantically. "Hm pathetic, just as I expected".

"What a jerk." Choji said in between handfulls of chips. His two teammates couldn't agree more. They walked off deeoer into the forest. The team eventually finding themselves in a tree looking for some ither teams and hopefully a change of pace. "Hmph, calling me weak. I bet he wouldn't say that if he could see what weak really looked like. I bet Sakura probably dragged Sasuke kun into some dangerous battle and now he has to pick up the slack for them." Ino said sighing once she got to mentioning the Uchiha boy. "Well what about Naruto? he is the hokages son and always was the strongest of the Uzumaki we knew in the academy." Shikamaru said to her. She argued that he was only slightly more impressive and definitely wasn't on the same level as Sasuke. You would think they were actually arguing bu the way Ino went about all of Sasuke's skills and achievements. While she did that Shikamaru Nara wondered what it was with girls and their crushes! Something had to be seriously wrong with them to put that mich time and effort into someone who didn't even gove thhem the time of day. At least that's how he saw it. "I bet that Sakura couldn't even fight a single person out here." Ino finished with a huff.

"I wouldn't be so sure of that Ino." Said Choji from his spot on the branch. He minched away at snacks while looking at a very tense battle. A battle that Sakura was fighting alone.

It was in another part of the forest 15 minutes earlier that Rock Lee was off on his own. He was training himself to catch the attention of of one hot tempered red head. "Oh how frustrating it is! Im certain that Kyō will see me as a perfect match once I've gotten some traing in!" He tosses up some leaves from hus upsideown post and darted after them. If i catch them all the surely im the worthy! He thought picturing the Uzumakiin his head as he grabbed onto the first three leaves. Yes! Only 17 more to go, to celebrate I will run laps around the village! Thought Lee excitedly. He was just about to get the last leaf before it hit the forest floor when he noticed the a squirrel in peril. It was lying belly up to the sky and on it's back was an active paper bomb. He quickly snatched the last leaf and sorinted to the forrwst creature. When he git there and reached for the paper bomb a hand met his. The hand pulled iff tge sealing tag and deactivated it just in time. Rock Lee cradled the squirrel ans looked at who the hand belonged to he was happily surprised to see Kyō. His green eyes defensive and narrowed. "Hello my goddess! I see that you too decided to save this poor innocent creature!" Rock Lee said blushing. A light pink dusted the others face at first but it quickly turned into a bright red that rivaled his hair. "FOR THE LAST TIME I AM A BOY! You understand that huh?!" Kyō yelled shakeing his fist. Lee gathered his hands togther in his and started into his eyes. "That does not matter! You and me are destined to grow strong together, I know it my heart! How can I prove it?" Kyō pulled back for a moment. "Well there is something you can do..." Kyō had been on his way back to meet with his team and their allies. Team 13 was waiting for them when they spotted a strange sight. Sakura was on her own taking care if the boys who seemed to be poisoned. That had team 11 worried because it had to be powerful stuff if it out an Uzumaki out if the game. The demons the Ink Faction worked with wasn't exactly known for healing for free so it was up to Sakura to keep them alive. It was Rio that brought up that anyone could've fiund them just as easily as they did and Sakura could be jumped for their scroll any minute.

Sakura didn't look half as tired as she should but that was sure to fail eventually. "I need you to help a friend." Kyō said seriously. Rock Lee nodded and the two boys gave a run down of what they'd expect. Lee was prepared to fight and Kyō was happy to give some good news to his team. They could use it after the day they'd had.

Early in the morning they ambushed a team and almost failed to get the scroll but thanks to team 13, Yakumo specifically things went differently. With her Kekegenkai she got two of the ninjas to off each other. The last ine being finishedoff by Rio and her Shikotsumyaku. In light if that they were given the scroll. The Uzumakis were expecting the end of their alliance right after but, after a short discussion, they decided to see the other team made it through as well. "I want to bash some more heads in and Brain Paint over there needs more feild practice" Rio said. She smiled her crazy smile and went over to said girl. Hinata stepped forward and gave her reasoning. "Besides its the least we could do since you all took care of the food and shelter." She said smirking lightly. "Wow they dint call you princess for nothing! Hahaha." Karin said laughing. "Damn right!" Rio chimed in. "Well thanks for helping us ladies." Kenshin said. "Yeah we really appreciate it!" Kyō said smiling.

Kyō and Rock Lee parted ways and soon both of them found who they were looking for. When he found her, Sakura was already in some trouble. Not only was she fighting a full three man team alone! She also had some pretty bad wounds. He jumped in to help her and got a proper look at his enemies. The team was from Sound, im fact it was the same team that was causing trouble in the last exam. The team was a standerd one, two boys one girl. The girl had long black hair and had no noticeable weapons or stance to show how she fought. She could be just surprised, but I must also assume that she mainly uses nin or genjutsu! He thought. The other boy with short hair was also quickly assessed to be the same. It was the one in Bandages the really stuck out. He was visibly more bulky than the other boy and had giant gauntlets on his forearms, they both had little holes drilled into them for some reason. "So you wanna join in haircut? Lets go!" The gauntlet guy jumped up at him and went to attack. Thinking quickly Lee pulled up a huge root from the ground and used it to block. "I remember you and I know that there is more to your jutsu than meets the eye!" The two scuffled for a bit exchanging blows with the sound ninja taking most kf the hits. Sakura whi was watching on could see that something had clicked in her saviors mind as he then preformed a super complicated taijutsu he called "Leaf hurricane." It took them both up into the air and that seemed to have the others distracted. She went over to the cat thing who had the scrolls tied to arroubd its neck. He'd been helpful in warding off the close combat attacks which was great since any and all projectiles were sent back on the girl. "Hey- kitty. Im ginna need these now I can seal them away if I rememberwhat Naruto showed me." She looked over her shoulder, Rock Lee and that other guy were almost near the ground again and the spiky haird guy was using some sort if jutsu on the ground. "You just keep doing what you're doing and protect thise two." She wasn't sure if the cat understood hee but it helped to talk to him and she had no reason to believe he wouldn't. She got the scrolls and sealed them away to a tag she slipped under her headband. She heard an impact and made the split decision to get one of Narutos lollipops from his pocket. She pukled a green one and got her axes out. Waiting for the fight to once again come to her. When she tuned back inti the conversation the man had asked a question. "What is sound really?" He asked.

"Vibrations!" she spoke up.

"Well give the girl a prize why don't ya." The bandaged guy said. The other guy with spiky hair chimed in next. "Face it kid that old fashioned taijutsu of yours just won't work in us. Not that you're bad or anything, but we're using the justu if the future hehe." They both went in to explain the jutsu they used (an obvious sign of cockiness), how they functioned with the tooks they used and such. The spiky haired man even shiwed that he had air coming in from holes in his hands. With them he could manipulate ultrasonic sounds and pressure. The other boy on his team stepped back in. "Now for you young lady!" He went to rush her absolutely sure that Lee wouldn't recover. The man was surprised to see that nit inky could the boy stand but Rock Lee was running close to full speed at the him. "Leaf hurricane!" He said but his movements were slow and readable now. The sound njnja quickly countered him and when Lee blocked the gauntlet, it started emitting a piercing sound. Rock Lee was officially out of the game now and there was no one left to stand in the way of yhe sound ninja and his target. "Niw why don't I finish you off hmm?" Sakura threw some shuriken at the man she tried using genjutsu to make to hide some and make the illusion of others. Unfortunately the sound ninja blocked them all. "It doesn't matter if you try to hide them I can hear tour attacks! Get reall little girl you've lost and now you're gonna die for getting in my way." Sakura tried to rush the man to save Lee but she was quickly snatched up by the girl of the team. "Ooh what nice hair. Maybe if tou practiced more and spent less time shampooing you wouldn't be like this." She cackled. Sakura gripped the dirt, how dare she sure at one point she was lesss serious but she was different now. Now she could fight and that's exactly what shw would do. "Can it skank!" She said trying to muster up the courage she'd no sou t need for the battle ahead. She took her axe and swung it back at the girls knee as hard as she could. The girl cryed out in pain and fell to the floor. Like hell I'll let them down! IM GONNA DO THE SAVING THIS TIME! No way will I let some creeps tell me I can't do this. Not when they need me. She thought as she swung her other axe down on the enemy kunoichis leg. She'd been blasted into the tree where Sasuke and Naruto were but not before getting a good bit of the axes blade in the siund ninjas thigh. The blast continued and she was starting to feel dizzy. It was like the ringing in her ears was trying to split her skull in half. Unbeknownst to Sakura she had a few spectators. Team ten was watching her from the bushes waiting to intervene and when they started to step closer they almost did. Sakura for her part started soing handseals. Hmph I know that jutsu. The spiky haird one thought. "Kin can you stand?" He asks and the girl is back in here feet with no answer. It hurts like hell but I'll pay that pink haired bitch back. Kin took out some senban and tried to stick the ither girl. But she was suddenly replaced by a log. I knew it substitution. Well I'm on to you, in fact, I'm ahead of you." He thought wickedly. Sakura appeared behind him and three kunai which he easily dealt with. "Sharp piercing wind jutsu!" He turned the attack back on her but once again she substituted and appeared somewhere else. This time it was the air, she attacked the same way and he reacted the same way. He was so sure if her next move he didn't even bother to chek if she was still in the air. While he scoped out the area for her she came down with one if her axes in hand. Her blood dripped on the mans face as he looked about guvving her away but licky for her he missed most of her body with his counter attack. She'd successfully played him and now it was too late he tried to but his hands up but it was futile. Sakura had the back if her axe pound the mans temple like a hammer to a nail. He was out of it and if she were being honest so was Sakura. Sure she hadn't killed anyone when she couldve but that was something she was choosing to wait on if she could help it. She took the lollipop in her mouth and felt better instantly. Some of her bleeding even stopped. "Whos next huh?" She said between breaths. She was leaning on one axe and holding up the other to point at the two enemies standing in front of her.

"Man shes doing way better than I thought she would." Shikamaru said. Ino grumbled a bit at that but it was true. Even if she looked haggard she had managed to actually do some damage to the other guys and it was cool. Choji had said the last but which really hsd Ino going mad. Sure Ino briefly choked on if they should help or not but that was totally not her fualt. "Yeah well look at her no she's practically about to drop dead. Soo lets do this thing. Go,go,go!" She whispered yelled. "Ino? But- why?" She heard behind her. The boys were arguing next to her about why they were even stepping in. "Come on are we supposed to make a girl do all the fighting?" Shikamaru said. At the same time, Choji was trying to run off but couldn't thanks to his scarf being held ny his teammates. "Heh better a live sheep than a dead lion right fatso?" fatso fatso- Choji went ballistic he claimed a slight chubbiness but that was all. "That's it! It's personal now!" He said fuming. The bandaged Sound nin was more annoyed than intimidating. Weve got to get rid of these clowns. He's the one we're after. "I'm tired of you showingoff in front of Sasuke you won't get the credit this time." Ino finally responded. "Team Ino, let's go!" Team ten git into their Inoshikacho formation. Bulldozing the the already injured Kin. The other one got caught in Shikamarus shadow paralysis and was hit by Choji in his huge ball form repeatedly. At least thats what it looked like. Even though he couldn't block the way he liked his gauntlets were still doing their job. Choji became so dizzy thst he spun around and hit Shikamaru. This canceld his jutsu and knocked them out of the way. Ino for her part had taken the body of the spiky haired one and was going to threaten the mans life. But the tables had turned at it seemd that she was the only one who could get the job done. So she threatened her life as planned and to her suprise was attacked. Very hard. She practically got punched back into her own body it was so bad. "What is with you second rate ninja from this second rate village?" He yelled. He went for another attack and Ini chise that moment to retreat. Once she was literally in her right mind she took her team to hide. A boy with bandages on his leg and long brown hair came from the tree top with a girl. She had a pink top and wore most of her hair in buns, some of it spilling over her headband. "Tough talk! You must be from a third rate village then." The biy said eyes staring through the man from his spot in the tree line. The boys eye were strange but the veins were a dead giveaway for his lineage. This must've been Neji Hyuga the previous graduating class's rookie of the year. "Are you gonna come down and do something huh?" The man asked him. Neji responded vaguely that it was "out of his hands" and stayed where he was. What happened ext took everyone by surprise. A now fully awoken Sasuke was covered in strange marks and practically tortured the only sound ninja left. The only reason he wasn't dead was becauses Sakura intervened and got through to the Uchiha. After that everyone went their own way and continued with the test.

On the fourth day after some well needed rest team 7 was back in the game. "So thanks to Sakura and Tora here we're in a good spot." Naruto said petting the pseudo cat demon. "I want to get moving. We had plenty of fish and such so nowni think its time we get the fuck out of this forest." He said. "Yes I agree. This is place hardly has any good eats." Sakurs and Sasuke shuddered the cat spoke in a strange language with an alarmingly deep voice. For their sake he was back to looking like a cat albeit green and black. "Yeah I'll say. Speaking of once we get to the tower your free to go. A little more time back in that place should get you feeling pumped. I know you've been worried about your territory so if you feel the need you can go back now." Unsurprisingly that's just what happened. "Well there goes an asset. Thanks alot Naruto." Sasuke said rolling his eyes. "He wouldn't be too much of an asset after he got seriously hungry trust me. He's on a special diet now. Sakura I know you've witnessed the benefits." The girl couldn't deny that Tora was a help but cringe at the their most hated mission getting even more dangerous and suddenly becoming all friendly with Naruto. "Well I don't know about any of that but we should definitely get moving. If that Kabuto kid we ran into yesterday was right, then we need to get to the tower before those collecter guys swarm the area." She said. They all nodded and packed up their site. Sakura noted how quiet Sasuke had been lately. After the run in with Kabuto, Naruto decided to ask Sakura for details in what happened when they were out. He knew he was hit with a particularly powerful, partially paralytic, poison. But he didn't know what came next. Tora had told him bits but he also cane kater as instructed and focused on protecting the Uzumaki heir rather than fighting. She told him that some man named Orochimaru attacked them. It was during that fight that Sasuke got bit, she told him that was what caused it. Before he could even ask what "it" was she starting telling him about the sound nin that found and attacked her. Their real target was Sasuke but he came into some dark power that had the last ninja on their squad terrified. When Naruto finally got a good look he didn't have good news. "It's a cursed seal. Based in what Sakura told me a really bad one." He said. Sasuke asked if he could do something about it but was disappointed with the answer. "Im just not on that level yet, if I put something over that now it could only make the pain last longer. This needs to be looked at by a fuinjutsu master..." he said. Sasuke sighed at that. "Which means I just have to tough it out for the rest of the exams."

Sakura could tell that Sasuke was definitely in pain and thought he was just getting by on his pride. She was hoping that the day had no issues because the last thing they needed was another ambush from some ridiculously powerful foe. Focus! We're almost out of this place. She was about to quicken her pace when Sasuke Grabbed her by the collar. She looked at him in confusion but he just signaled for her to be quiet. He then pointed over her shoulder. When she looked she saw two teams. One was hastily approaching the tower and the other almost completely hidden above. Like a hawk to a field mouse, the team in the tree ljne swooped down on their prey. The sounds of battle followed soon after and team 7 took this moment to make a run for it. It was a gamble but they were confident that the battke would attract any onther threats attention for a little while. They were so close and yet so far at the same time. Less than 30 feet away was the end of this nightmare and yet time seemed to slow as they closed the gap. The next thing they knew they were in the tower. Naruto who looked slightly drained was the happiest about this. He even danced a bit, to his teammates amusement. "Okay so now what?"

That was a good question. The entrance behind was now closed and the forest definitely had no answers for them. "Look! Maybe that has a clue we can use." Sakura said pointing at the writing on the wall. It was better than nothing so that's what they did. Apart of the writing was missing and there weren't any hints at what that blank space might be. "Hmmm. I say we smash it and get the hell out of here." Naruto said pointing to the wall. "No! Thats not gonna help us at all Naruto." Sasuke said. "Well do you have a better idea?" He in fact did not. "Wait guys look here and here! They talk about the Earthly and Heavenly qualities. So maybe... its time to use the scroll." She reached up and pulled the sealtag from ynder her headband. Poof! The scrolls came out and she handed them to they boys. Carefully they opened the scrolls and for a brief second they had time to read them. "It's a reverse summoning?" Naruto said before dropping the scroll. Sasuke followed suit, simply he didnt know what to do with it. The scrolls rolled out and crossed make an 'X'. From that another poof happened and out if the smoke came their former teacher. His job was to explain the writing on the wall and that they had to carry the message with them. They really didn't care about all of that they had a free day and theat meant they could rest with more freedom than they could in the forest. They went to a lounge area of sorts and what they found was not exactly a surprise, but definitely an unwanted reality. A few teams were already there. It was the sand team and ine if the sound nin. Just one. In the corner of the room was Kabutos team and team 8 on the opposite side of the room furthest from the Sand team. "Hey Asuka, look what the cat dragged in." They heard. Team 7 turned to the left where another team had just come in.

"Oh FUCK no!"
