Chapter 11 : A Peaceful Break

The early morning hours of the day were spent with Radara talking Mewtwo how to operate his new devices and get use to the learning programs while Thomas just sat mostly with Rebecca. Although worried about him, she listened to Suicune's words and didn't try to make Thomas talk about anything.

He still seemed happy to just keep her close, letting her lean against him as they just rested on the couch for now. He readily, if slowly was rubbing her sides, and even her ears from time to time, as he thought things over himself.

Although not as lively a morning as Rebecca would have preferred, Thomas still made sure to pay attention to her, and that's what Rebecca wanted the most. A light drizzle kept them inside, this time actually part of the weather reports however rather then induced by a powerful pokemon. As noon approached however, the weather cleared up enough, or at least it stopped raining and gave way to partial sunlight as Thomas had noted, looking to the windows from time to time throughout the morning.

"Hey... Rebecca. Can we go for a walk?" Thomas finally asked, looking to the windows seeing how the weather was clearing up a bit.

'I would love to.' Rebecca smiled, nuzzling him a bit more, before slowly getting up, letting Thomas get up after her. 'Where would you like to go?' She asked very eagerly, her tail wagging very much rather enjoying herself and her time with her lover.

Thomas just smiled some, getting up slowly and taking her arm as he started for the door. "You know how to find me if you need me... but." Thomas started. "Can... I need some time with Rebecca. Can... you give me some time, even if it means we might be away for too long?"

'I will tolerate the discomfort of be separated from you for the night if you need it. If it means getting my real brother back, I will not argue.' Radara stated, nodding to him politely.

'Thomas is leaving? Is this wise?' Mewtwo asked looking up at last from the reading program he had up.

'He will manage. Simply put, he needs this. He must comes to terms with himself if he is to accept this properly.' Radara said, reassuring Mewtwo now that it was fine. 'Much like how we can sense danger for our elder brothers and sisters, as my twin, I will know if danger befalls him.' Radara explained.

'And what of this discomfort you mentioned for not being near him? Is this some kind of means of control.''Mewtwo now asked, just as Thomas grabbed himself his own jacket, and a spare jacket for Rebecca, before leaving.

Thomas just held Rebecca close for now as they walked, being the only two on the beach for now. Although keeping an eye out to make sure that they were alone, it was more so of Thomas just trying to find a private place for now.

With the weather though, they were thankfully alone for the most part and that made it fairly easy to do things. Thomas just kept his hand around Rebecca's hips, letting her lean on him while they walked.

Moving along slowly, it was a nice and quiet walk as Thomas just kept moving with Rebecca before at last finding a nice little private bit of stony shore between some large rocks. Working his way carefully over it, Thomas helped Rebecca up after him finding a large flat stone at the waters edge to sit on.

"Rebecca... I'm sorry for the past few weeks. I know its been rough and I've been... busy but... there will more days like this and I'm sorry." He said as he pulled her carefully into his lap. "I can't lead a normal life and there will be things that will always need my personal attention. I'm the last of my kind and now I have do to them." He said slowly.

"I know you have needs, and I'll do my best to be with you, but I really do need some time. Love is... it hurts, a lot. I want to love, and I want to love you, but I've lost so many of my family and friends over the years to things other then age..." He sighed hard, resting his head on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry... but your precious to me. I know this will be hard, but please … when I call you call you back to your pokeball and keep you out a fight, just... please do it for me..." He asked, his voice showing concern and almost begging her.

"There are things out there, things that me and Radara have the power to fight, but you don't. I let Juno fight with me because she has experience, she knows what the odds really are. I really do know what the pain of losing someone is, and I hope you never have to feel it... but if... if something." Thomas started, only to hold her a bit tighter, almost possessively in a way, but comforting and careful still, as if trying to shield her from the world.

Rebecca goes to speak, but Thomas just gently puts a hand to her muzzle, making her stop before she could even start, gently caressing her cheek with his thumb. Looking up slowly, she sees his eyes and can easily tell that he's just staring at her, watching her, trying to love her. She gets lost in his eyes as he smiled and just gently runs his fingers through her fur, easing his grip a bit on her.

"Rebecca... you're not the first lover I've had. You are my first lover, the first lover of Thomas, of the me holding you now, but its not that simple. I'm not mortal, I have never been mortal, and the deeds and memories of the past are as much a part of me as anything else. I know the names and faces, the touch and feel of all my past lovers, of the fragile mortals who I let share a life with me. And in times of peace, I could love freely and without care for worrying for them having watched them grow old while I cared and loved them, but it was not always peace. I'm scared of losing you, because I've lost so many others. The last lover I took, the one who broke me..." Thomas said, a hand still running through her fur, but his hand did shake just a bit, something clearly scaring Thomas as he let himself walk through the past once more.

"When the last real war started, a war between gods and mortals, I thought I could just leave that war behind. I thought that I could take my wife at that time, take our family to a new place. Time is always changing, and surely even the cries against who I was would be proven false and things would calm down. If I left them alone, they would surely remember the good I had done, and not the false rumors... but it wasn't meant to be." Thomas said quietly, a few tears in his eyes.

"It was... it was already rough before the day I planned to leave. The fighting had gotten so close as to almost claim the life of my mother... and while she had been saved, it had not been without a price, a dozen of my brothers and sisters had paid the price of mortality, they had been killed defending her, and worse, even those who accepted us for who we really were had been targeted as well." Thomas continued, only to slowly grip her once more, his arms wrapped over her shoulders and then down over her chest, holding her close, in fear and love, careful with his grip, but easily frightened of something in full now.

He had just stopped, recalling the memories of his last lover, of the fear of when he walked into the scene, where his fear of love and guilt of survival had first stemmed from. Curious, Rebecca slowly looked into his aura, afraid of what she might find, but as she looked to him, everything became clear. Whatever memory Thomas was recalling was very real, it had happened and there was no denying that it had a lasting effect on him, having scarred his very aura.

She gently takes his hands in her paws, pulling them to her chest and just holding them. She knew of what her kind could do, she was rather well versed in a lot of small details about how pokemon could help in the treatment of others, and right now she wanted to help anyway she could. She knew that some lucarios were strong enough to help other pokemon and even humans with their emotional scars, and if they could do it, why couldn't she. If it meant that she could help him for once, that she would learn, and she would do anything she could to help him.

"I know what you are trying to do..." Thomas smiled some, thinking about a few of the others who had helped him in the past. Although Rebecca was trying to pull on the memories that scarred Thomas, to try and help him, Thomas seemed to resist though, not wanting to share them, not wanting to let them go. For as much as Thomas would have liked to share and give up the memories of his past though, he couldn't deny them, he couldn't surrender his mind, his life, his past just like that.

"You remind me of so many of my past... of past lovers and would be wives. And... and that's part of what scares me so much. I see so much them in you, and yet like them all, you're different. Your fur and body, your own gentle touch, how you favor my left arm, your so small but eat so much and always work harder to get a special treat." Thomas smiled some, just mimicing some of her actions now, rubbing his cheek to hers.

"Despite that, despite how different you care, you care more about me for who I am then what I am... but you don't have an understanding of what it means to be with me, no matter how little you care about that." A few tears were starting in Thomas's eyes now as he just leaned his head on her shoulder some.

"Please... just promise me that if I ever call you back... please just promise that if I tell you to run, to stay out of something, to let me fight without you there...please just do it. If I lose you... I'm not sure I can keep going, I'm afraid that I'll just give up... give up on everything that I am, and those who still need me." He said, giving her a small kiss to her cheek, but leaning a hand up and gently putting a hand back to her muzzle to keep her silent for now, not wanting to give her a chance to argue.

"Just... just think on it please...and let me have this with you in peace, while we can both just be here." He said softly, and just rubbing his cheek to hers lightly.

'I'm not here to judge you... I can feel some of the pain you felt, and the fear.'Rebecca said softly, just ignoring Thomas's hand as she slowly pulls it down to her chest, letting him just hold her again. 'If... if it really means that much to you... I'll try to... I'll try to restrain myself.'

Thomas just barely smiled though, holding her a bit more tightly once more, and Rebecca could see his aura, see that he just needed the comfort, acceptance for now.

'Go on, let it out. I'm here and I'm not leaving you.' She said softly, turning around some in lap, now just sitting sideways on his lap, wrapping and arm around his neck and leaning to him fully. As if a dam had broken though, Thomas at once just let go. Having just trying to explain her how much she had meant to him, and her own efforts trying to take some of those scars of his aura, Thomas finally felt safe enough to let all those pent up years of grief come to in full, tears falling hard as he held her, and she held him in return.

Back at the beach house...

'And what of this discomfort you mentioned for not being near him? Is this some kind of means of control.''Mewtwo now asked, just as Thomas grabbed himself his own jacket, and a spare jacket for Rebecca, before leaving.

Mewtwo just watches as Thomas leaves before once more looking to Radara, as if expecting her to change once Thomas was gone. 'To put it in the simplest of terms, the two of us combined make up one 'god' or 'legendary' as the mortals might put it, although there is nothing simple about it. We were born two halves of the same whole, and while it may seem that we have our issues, they are strictly of a personal nature, disagreements between us as we have changed over time. Normally, we twins are rather agreeable and literately share minds. For Thomas, it is far more a case of him being chased himself and having been forced into hiding and taking the brunt of ill favors towards our place in the world.' Radara explained looking over the devices still, her voice and tone unchanged.

'These recent incarnations of our shared lives however... I have been more a mother to him, something I grow tired of. At his best, he could strike down a number of our elder legendary brothers and sisters, his unique pairing of elemental typing and our other naturally occurring talents use to make him a very powerful force of nature. These days in our weakened state, and his own mental torture he inflicts upon himself, he is just such a child. Self imposed isolation for a creature whose life has always been and should have always been that of a very social creature has taken a severe toll.' She sighed hard, just letting herself drop into a laying position, before turning the devices back towards Mewtwo, who merely lifts the device up to look over it, a child's learning program for writing, but it was a very good start.

As Mewtwo looks it over however and starts to take it in, listening to the vocal part of the program, he is still far more focused on Radara and her words. 'So basically, you are saying that Thomas could defeat a legendary? Yet he seems to be afraid his own shadow at times.'

Suicune slowly stands and moves over herself to join the conversation once more after watching Thomas leave the view of the window. 'Thomas... Soular... was always among the youngest of his line, The Twins. He never sought any form of personal glory, he never had a desire for such things as recognition for his deeds, he rarely cared for the honor of being what he was that use to be give to him by all. What he always sought was the continued existence of a world where people could live with the others around them. And he just had a way of being peaceful and using words to calm others. He never wanted to use his abilities to hurt others, but in these recent life times, the poor child has been forced to master them for the art of combat, and not for the sake of just controlling them so he didn't accidentally hurt others.' Suicune added softly now, of course with Radara's help who just nodded lightly.

'More then once in these past few life times, Thomas has taken a life. First in defense of our mother, against mortals who were controlled by one of our own, and then later again and again in defense of his brothers and sisters. What perhaps tipped him over the edge and now makes him fear himself most of all however is because he knows that he has spilled the blood of another life out of more primal and unchecked desires, out of anger and a desire for personal vengeance, something he had always tried his best never to do.' Radara added.

'If someone has wronged him and your kind, why would you not strike out against them, to remind them of their place. They are your lessers are they not?' Mewtwo asked.

'We... hold ourselves to a far greater restraint then you have been shown so far, done so by lessons and teachings that have been around for times long since ancient. We consider ourselves the teachers of all life, and so we must lead by an example above them, to demonstrate that there is such things as restrain and that peace can be held even with anger and dislike of others. If we abuse our powers, would not anyone with power surely try to abuse theirs?' Suicune said softly looking over Mewtwo.

'And you expect me to follow your examples as well...' Mewtwo asked.

'In time yes but not without first teaching you our ways. The world is vast, and not all humans are such beasts who will show the same disregard for you as those you have already dealt with. If you seek isolation after having learned their ways, we can find you place all your own. If you wish to live with others, we can find those who would welcome you.' Suicune said, just looking over him.

'And yet Thomas appears to mimic the humans he travels around with...He would appear to control you just to blend in. Are these the same lessons you intend to show me?' Mewtwo stated.

Radara just shook her head lightly, Suicune giving a soft smile but slowly getting up and looking over the room, before going to the windows and gently lifting aside one of the curtains. 'Look to the south, and you will see the islands where we travel now. Their cultures are a mix of many over the years and they have made their own ways. If you look the north, towards the main land, you will find their culture varies greatly from the islands we sit upon now. Travel across the waters to the east, and eventually you will another land, whose cultures are so strange and different that you must learn a different spoken tongue to understand them. The world is filled with all kinds of peoples and cultures. While there are some ways that they appear similar, you cannot judge them all so quickly just based on a few. For each culture, they have their own way that they view things.' Suicune started, before letting the curtain fall, and then walking to the tv, with some careful paw work, turning it on, and then just flipping through the channels until a world news channel showed up.

'In truth, Soular has never left Japan or the surrounding islands. The cultures here are the only ones he has ever known, and he has only grown with them. Their cultural views, their cultural values, their cultural customs are what he knows and what he feels comfortable around. Despite this, at his core, he is still his own person from long ago. Anything he does to blend in, he does to more to hide himself I think. Despite his actions that may mimic the culture around him however, he still treats us all with respect and takes care of us. He has never stopped protecting us, or trying to fulfill those things we ask of him.' Suicune continued.

'I think Mewtwo was asking for a more... modern answer? Thomas was born to look human and always be a part of their culture, to help bridge the gap between various cultures. While there are many species allow others to join their villages and collective groups, most species tend to expect others of their kind to join them. For Thomas, this means that he is expected to walk among the humans. For what they lack in powers and abilities like so many others of the pokemon around them, they have opened their eyes and looked upon the world and observe everything. They see him as a human and they expect him to be human. He was even born to live among them, for the two of us to show them peace even despite differences in shape and form. For as much as he may live among them however, he still prefers to return to an older time, before the world of technology has surrounded him. He has merely learned what he has grown up with in this modern world around him. While he may use their technologies, he is not truly one with them though. Until he is broken, he will always be one of us, a part of something much greater, always learning his place in the world with each new life, but never forgetting his roots. I can only do what I can at the moment to stop him breaking, but I cannot help him truly until he helps himself.' Radara explained, just getting up slow and turning towards the tv and turning it back off.

'You are all very confusing and given illogical answers.' Mewtwo said, looking over them slowly.

'I'm not sure life was meant to be 'logical' as you put it.' Suicune smiled, even giving a small chuckle. 'Life is an emotional place, to live is to feel more then just the warmth of the sun, the cool breeze, to be par-'

'Suicune... let's leave such strong philosophical debates alone for now. Our newest brother has only obtained his own life barely a week ago. Perhaps such lessons would be best introduced after he has seen the world, seen life in action and their illogical actions and methods of life. Perhaps, just experiences emotions more then just anger and confusion.' Radara said, shaking her head about the talk, knowing that the two were asking about very different things at the moment.

'You would suggest that I experience such a depraved human concept?' Mewtwo asked, a little annoyed by the accusation that he could be compared to the humans.

'Emotions are NOT a human concept. Humans have merely placed a far more complicated meaning upon them for their own culture, but they are so much more then that. Every living entity, from every new born babe to even the oldest of us legendaries experience emotions. Such things have been around long before the humans were even first crafted by our mother. You are young, and you were brought into a world through such an ill birth, you have your reasons for knowing only anger and confusion, and we cannot fault you for that. You were not born a defenseless child, or even given survival instincts native to a species to help you live on your own. You learned quickly before you were even truly awake by studying the minds of greedy scientists who tried to trend on ground not meant to be stepped upon so shamelessly. In time, you will experience more and you will grow. At the city, you felt curiosity and today, watching Thomas walk off with Rebecca, you have felt worry. Perhaps not for him, just worry how it might affect you, but it was worry about something. You have emotions, you have just not experienced them all yet.' Radara said, only for a bright light to catch all of their eyes, everyone turning towards one of the recliners where the light had come from.

There sitting in the once empty space was now a very large red, orange, and white doll, and it took the group a few to figure out what it was. A large over sized stuffed braxien plushie, almost as large as the chair itself, big enough to be used as a children's chair even, was just resting there. Pinned to its chest was cream colored note, an very old and almost forgotten dialect transcribed upon it, but Suicune and Radara both recognized it, Radara just dropping her head.

'And what... is that?' Mewtwo asked looking over.

'THAT... would the feeling of annoyance, from a rather persistant childish legendary who is asking you to play with him...' Radara said, a very clear sigh in her voice even as she spoke.

'That is from the floating pink furball who the large bird grabbed and took with it?' Mewtwo asked.

'At least he has worked on his penmanship, I've never seen such clean writing from him in centuries.' Suicune laughed some, just moving over and investigating the new plush. 'I do wonder how we might store this however... it will not fit in Soular's back pack, its too round to get inside.'

~xXx~

Hours passed as Rebecca comforted Thomas. The sun was already setting, and Thomas was still letting a few tears show here and there, but he was calming down at last. Hundreds of years of unshared pain, of bottled up sorrow were finally shared at last. A small powered lantern gave them some light if barely holding up as the sun was setting, but it was starting to die down at last, leaving them with very little light under the cloud ridden night sky.

Rebecca had moved out of Thomas's lap and was now just sitting on her knees, Thomas leaning into her some now as he rested his head on her shoulder, while she held him, enjoying being able to help him now after he had always done so much to help him.

She was happy to do so much for him, and just letting him rest against her as she rubbed his side and back. Slowly though, Thomas began to rise a bit, supporting himself as he still held her some. "Thank you... just thank you so much." He said softly, giving her a small kiss her cheek.

It was all Rebecca could do not to start screaming out in joy and happiness at Thomas's words and the kiss, she felt light headed in a way, and just so happy, quickly leaning into him now as Thomas just held her lovingly. "Its... been so long since I could feel this... a peace, be open with someone... have a lover." He said softly, rubbing his eyes a bit as he leaned head back into hers, so nice and gently even rubbing her cheek to his, almost like he was a lucario himself, like he was one of her own kind.

Rebecca just adored this even more though, quickly nuzzling her cheek to his even more as she held his hand as best she could, pulling him a bit closer.

"Are you hungry?" He asked softly, just enjoying the moment, but knowing that they had been out for a while, and was eager to thank her.

'Is there a place to get food this late.' She asked, still just happily nuzzling him, but giving up on holding his hand at the moment, just wrapping her hands and wrists around his arm, before turning and just wrapping her arms around his chest.

"Its a tourist city, it sleeps like one hour a day. We can find something to eat." He teased, just gently wrapping his arms around her as well, and pulling her carefully into his chest now. He also used his mind to look for his pokedex in his pockets, and slowly pulled it out once he found it.

"Now, I've never treated you to … umm, just what would they call it these days... oh nevermind. My sister Gali always made this baked filled bun for everyone at every chance she could and she called it Zansuu because it sounded fun to say. It's a lightly fried berry jam like substance served over shredded honey glazed ham in a rice dough bun. I know I've never treated you to it, but my parents have made you a lot of things over the years." He explained, also putting the same notes into his pokedex to see if any such dishes were common today, or if he would need to make it himself.

'I've never had that one before, but it sounds wonderful.' Rebecca smiled, licking her lips a little at the mentioned dish.

"Well, its not the same recipe I recall, but it does look like that food app I have has some ideas about where to get something similar. And there is a 24 hour little tourist bakery that serves up little ones. Should I go get us a dozen?" Thomas asked, before giving her another small kiss to her cheek again.

'Yes please.' Rebecca smiled and eagerly wagged her tail at the kiss.

Thomas just hugged her a bit more, before slowly getting up proper and standing, physically grabbing his pokedex now and double checking the map as he helped her up. Letting her lean on him for a few more, he rubbed his eyes clean one last time and then just gave her another small kiss to her cheek. "Listen... you know I won't leave you now right?" He asked as he looked around, finding what looked like some somewhat near by lights that he assumed was part of some public path.

'I know. I... I'll wait and behave while you get the food... but you have to feed me when you bring them back.' Rebecca giggled some, just gently trying to take his hand for now and following Thomas as he tried to find a way back up under the dim light of the moon through a cloudy sky.

Thomas just gave a small sigh but still smiled some. "Yes... yes, I can feed you one or two." He said, reaching into pocket and looking for his small flashlight, but couldn't find it. "I seem to have misplaced my flashlight... this might take a few." He sighed some, only for Rebecca to hold out one of her hands.

Although not the easiest thing for her, still working hard just to try and learn the basics of advanced aura abilities, she still managed a weak barely held together aura sphere. While easily not a move, Thomas couldn't help but rub her ears some. "Wow... you're getting the hang of it at last. Good work Rebecca." He said, Rebecca blushing some, but so eager for the praise, just trying to tighten her grip on his hand as she helped give them some light to get up out of the rocks.

It took a little work, but they were easily able to see as they climbed up the beach, and easily found one of the many paths. While still a ways from the city, the beach still had its own little tourist strip though, including one of the bakeries that was listed to have the favored snack of the night.

Still, taking a moment to look around and see how many people were around, it still thankfully rather quiet, only some clearly preoccupied couples walking around at night. Although she didn't want to, Rebecca still eased up her grip, and just lightly held onto his hand for now. Thomas could easily feel that she wanted to hang onto him more though as he looked over the plaza, quickly spotting a quick trainer's supply vending machine though, and taking note of it before walking up to the bakery.

Just a bit busy, a small number of people looking over the various snacks, Rebecca just moved over and waited, sitting on some seats by door while Thomas looked over the various goods. He knew what he was looking for after all, but just wanted to make sure it was done right.

He quickly found what he was looking for though, the treat he had named before, but it was clearly exceptionally popular here on the island, if just the same. With a big actually flashing sign that read "Hamlin Paradise Buns" for a decent sized full set of shelves, the bakery offered a surprisingly large number of variations.

Still, looking over the case, he found a few of the types he might to try and share, just in time to look up and see a clerk moving over to him. "Welcome to The Halmin Beachside Bakery, what I can get for you?" The clerk asked.

"Yeah, I'd like a dozen of these rice bun treats. 4 with oran berry jam, 4 with bluk berry jam, 2 with mago jam, and 2 with nanab jam." He said, the clerk quickly nodding and reaching into the case to get the buns that Thomas has requested, quickly filling a small tray with them.

"Anything else? We got a special on berry breads today as well, and trust me that those are great snacks." The clerk asked, but Thomas just shook his head.

"No, those will do. I had friend who used to make these buns and just had a craving for them." Thomas said, moving over to the register and paying for them, before taking the small bag.

"Have a nice night out there, and be careful out there. Its nasty this season for allergies, your eyes look kinda bad right now." The clerk smiled, giving a few glances to Rebecca, but not saying anything as he just took the cash and made some change for Thomas. Thomas just moved quickly back towards the door, Rebecca quickly moving back towards him as he opened the door and left.

With the package in hand, Rebecca quickly followed him as he went down to the quick supply vending machine, and grabbed a new flashlight, a mini lantern, and even some glow bulbs so that they could have some light as he rubbed his eyes a bit more, no doubt red from all that he had let out with Rebecca earlier.

Checking the mini lantern and the flashlight just to make sure that worked, Thomas smiled as he left started for the beach again, but this time just decided to walk along it from the path for now. Cracking two of the bulbs though, he just clipped one to his hip, and with some spare string, made a nice little cheap necklace for Rebecca to wear one around her neck.

Of course, even if it was something silly and simple, Rebecca just loved the thought of him gently adjusting the string around her neck, almost wishing that it was something more special though. For now though, it would do as she smiled and the two started to walk again, just down the path this time however.

"I guess its a really good thing that we got here before the real tourist season started. The Orange Island League will be starting up in a month or so, and things will get even more filled with people..." Thomas said, giving a small sigh as he walked, giving one last look around and then gently taking Rebecca's hand.

She eagerly took his hand as well, and gently started to lean into him as they walked, the rain starting to pick up again as they did. Thomas didn't care though, a small sheet of psychic power appearing over them as he kept them dry, and in the dark no one would notice anyway as he looked around, finding a small pavilion on the beach in the distance. Although the main light was flickering at best, it was still enough to see the bit of cover and Thomas just moved to head towards it.

"Not the most unique place, but its dry." He smiled, Rebecca uncaring as she followed along.

'And yet it might be hard to top some of the places you have already shown me.' She giggled lightly, but happily followed along, if a bit faster trying to encourage him. 'Come on, come on. Those smell so good, I want some.'

Thomas just laughed some and nodded, following her lead now as he sped up with her. Quickly finding a seat under cover and in the corner where they were alone now, Thomas pulled out his lantern and set it up giving them some decent steady light now and then opening up the tray. "Now... I believe you said you wanted me... to do this?" He asked, quickly reaching in and taking a mago berry one, and then holding it up to Rebecca's face. She eagerly smiled and just opened her jaw, letting tongue out and Thomas just eased the small bun treat inside and let her enjoy.

It was definitely a nice treat and her eyes light up real bright as her tail eagerly started to full on wag again. This new treat for her was soft on the inside and she couldn't help but enjoy the seasoned ham and berry jam, and it just tasted so nice over her tongue as Thomas gave her another small kiss when she finished.

"I know you grew up around humans, just like me and you may as well be a part of their culture as well. I know I can't court you like I could in old days, but... I still want to show you my culture, the real culture of the god children if you would let me." Thomas said softly, just leaning into her a bit, and wrapping an arm around her.

'You mean... more about what you really are?' She asked, taking one of his hands quickly pulling into her lap, and just so eager to hold him as she leaned a bit into him again as he pulled out another of the small buns, this time one for him and trying it himself. He took a few tasting it, clearly judging it, but just shrugging a bit.

"Well, its not perfect and not seasons quite right, but its a close enough treat." He said softly, but still wrapped his free arm around her once he finished the little bun. "And yes... I want you to." He started, only to quickly go quiet. "I... I want to show you the world as I see it. To... to introduce you to my other family, the ones who I grew up time and time again."

Rebecca's smile grew a bit more, leaning into him some more. 'Does this mean that you'll take me on more dates now? How about a romantic cruise? Or maybe a candle lit dinner on top of a sky scraper with music in a covered gazebo in the rain?'

"You have been watching waaay too many romance films with my mother again." Thomas sighed and just shook his head, but with a smile. He happily pulled out another bun though and let her take it.

'But you didn't say no?' Rebecca smiled, giving him a small kiss to his cheek as she rested her head against him, nibbling happily on the bun she had.

"I really wish I could if you wanted to... but its... I'm sorry that I can't do some things with you. I'm... I'm just sorry." Thomas sighed, wrapping an arm around her gently, taking another treat for himself and then giving a small smile and nuzzling her cheek a bit again. "I... I can't treat you to dates like those silly movies. They can be fun to watch if you like them, but don't get the wrong idea. Those are just stories, a passing fantasy. Its the whole journey, not just the those few passing moments that make life worth really living." He said.

"No, we can make our story, a real one though. I can still take you to see places that would awe you, and I can take you to see my true family, and I can share the festivals of my kind with you. I'm sure you'll cherish all these moments I want to make with you, but honestly... the moments that I want to remember most are the ones like this. Just me and my lover, not dressed up fancy, being ourselves, who we really should be." He said, rubbing her side lightly and gently holding her closer.

"It will always be fun to dress up and do something special from time to time, but if your entire life are those moments, then they won't mean anything. It wouldn't be real, it would just be a lot of work and then we couldn't enjoy the real moments we share with each other. To be honest... this is the you I want to see most, the you that you should be." He said as he just pulled her head up a little, giving her a small kiss in return.

Rebecca just looked at him, smiling a bit more and eagerly leaned into his kiss, even as awkward as it was, her tail quickly moving back and forth as she closed her eyes to enjoy the moment.

The sun was slowly rising now as Thomas walked back with Rebecca to the beach house. The rain was still coming now slowly, and kept people inside letting them walk alone and hold hands as Rebecca yawned a little, but smiled eagerly as she walked with Thomas.

Suicune heard the door open up, a smile forming on her face as well as she heard them return, so happy and eager to hear about their time out now, getting up and stretching, along with Radara who had just remained awake throughout the night just like Thomas.

'Welcome back my son.' Suicune said, getting up as she looked him over, only to sniff the air. Thomas was just heading for the trash first, to throw out the bag from bakery. Suicune quickly caught onto the smell though, and moved up to Thomas quickly, a ribbon moving over and grabbing the bag before Thomas could get rid of it, pulling it up to her face. 'You had zansuu.' She half growled a bit, rather annoyed that Thomas had found such an ancient treat, and now the bag was clearly empty.

At the words though, Radara's ears, and even Juno's bolted up. 'Zansuu?!' Radara quickly repeated, Juno quickly getting up and looking around.

'Zansuu... Thomas brought zansuu?' Juno quickly added as Rebecca was too out of it to really pay attention, just moving over to the couch, tired and quickly laying down to fall asleep.

'The bag is empty... Thomas didn't bring any to share.' Suicune stated, giving him a glare. 'That's some nerve you have... making something so old and not making enough to share.'

"W-what... No its... its not Zansuu, really. The bakery called them paradise buns, and they aren't slow made like Gali would do it." Thomas stated, backing up a few steps, hands up defending himself again.

'If you got them from a bakery, then you can go back and get more. You do NOT horde zansuu.' Radara stated angrily now as she glared at her brother.

'How could you Thomas... Even your father would NEVER sneak zansuu behind our backs.' Juno grumbled, just as annoyed and irritated as Suicune and Radara.

'Umm... not to be rude here... but what's this Zansuu that you keep talking about and woke me up over...' Saber asked as he got up and stretched himself, only Mewtwo still sleeping while Radara covered up Rebecca on the couch.

'Zansuu is shredded pork drowned in honey topped with a fried and sweetened berry paste baked in a rice dough bun, slow cooked to perfection. You barely boil the chunk of pork to make it easy to shred, then leave in a large tub of honey for an hour or two, while mixing and preparing the rice dough and berry paste. You would take your berry of choice, mash it up real nice, add a little flour to thicken it with sugar or vespiquen honey, and fry it long enough so that it was nice thick paste. You then take your dough, make a small bowl with it, and fill it with the drown pork, and then top it with the berry paste. Afterwards, you close up the bun aside from a small little hole on the top and put them in a nice large metal pot, close that pot up tight and set it in a large fire for while. Gali had a few different ways of making them, and that's how I loved it best from her.' Radara stated, still glaring hard at Thomas, forcing his coat back into his hands.

'Okay... that does sound good...' Saber said, licking his lips much like Juno and Suicune.

'Which is why my brother... is going to go back to that bakery and buy enough for ALL of us.' Radara stated firmly now, Thomas just sighing.

"Look, they weren't slow cooked, it was just an imitation bakery quick bake snack... and you're just not listening." Thomas gave a loud defeated sigh, taking his coat and going back for the door. "I will NOT be held responsible if these paradise buns don't meet your standards." He half shouted to make the point before quickly leaving, everyone quickly going back to their chosen beds to wait for Thomas to return.

Thomas half rushed towards the bakery now, it being an annoying walk, but clearly needed one now. Thankfully the place was once again mostly empty as he walked up and looked over the display once again.

"Oh hey. Welcome back." The cashier smiled, recognizing him from his last visit. "I see you're doing better, your eyes look a lot better now. Guess that rain helped you taking care of the pollen in the air. So, what I can get you?" He asked, pulling out another small bag.

"I need paradise buns..." Thomas sighed, moving over the case.

"Got a sweet tooth huh?" The clerk smiled, going to the case. "How many?"

"All of them..." Thomas said, pulling out his pokedex, and quickly pulling out his banking app.

"I'm sorry... Just want to make sure I-" The clerk asked, looking the case, a quick counting making it clearly almost hundred of them.

"My parents have spoiled my pokemon hard. I have three large pokemon and apparently they smelled the ones I got earlier and threw a fit over the empty bag and made it very clear that I need to get them some now." Thomas said, a quick and easy explanation.

"Wow... must be hard training pokemon." The clerk stated, putting the small bag down and going for some very large ones, before taking tray after tray of the display case.

"My parents are lead researchers for Devon Corp. No amount of training can help a pokemon spoiled by rich parents." Thomas sighed again, the clerk just laughing.

"Yeah... that might do it." He smiled as he worked on counting the various buns, finally coming to a total. "Okay, just a warning, bit pricy. T.B.T.?" He asked seeing Thomas pull his pokedex.

"Yep. Going to have to be." Thomas said walking up and looking over the three large bags with about 100 paradise buns in them.

"Well, here you go." The clerk stated and let Thomas pay for the large order. "Good luck with your pokemon."

"Thanks... I'll need it." Thomas said, taking the bags and quickly moving back to the beach house.

Thomas walked in, and quickly just set down the three bags on the counter, quickly opening them up and filling a number of plates with them before setting them down on the coffee table where everyone had easy to reach them. "They are not proper Zansuu... I take no responsibility for them not tasting exactly as you want... and I refuse to hear anything about stomach aches when you eat them all anyway!" Thomas stated rather firmly before looking to the couch, but not seeing Rebecca.

'She is in your bed already. Now you run off and let us enjoy.' Radara stated, all of them minus Mewtwo and Rebecca quickly digging into the snacks as Thomas just quickly moved to join Rebecca now.
