Chapter 23 : National Debut

Thomas was just talking with his parents, his very unwelcome grandfather, and Mr. Chan Brakins with Radara at his side, only for the world to shift in an instance. The sudden shift of teleportation unannounced however with him still recovering was rather jarring as he quickly turned and looked around rapidly to get a sense of where he was.

He was still in Cameran Castle, not even far from where he was in the first place. He could even still just barely see Andrew who had stood up rapidly and had thrown his chair back if the thud was anything to go by. And then it hit him, the deafening silence that allowed him to hear Andrew's chair getting knocked backwards as he tried to turn around to get a better look of his surroundings seeing everyone turning to stare at him, only for someone to grab onto him.

'Thomas! Thomas, what happened!' The voice was instantly recognized and looking down, Rebecca was there looking up to him confused and worried, only for more flashes of light to catch their eyes. A large fancy crystalline table with a dozen matching chairs bright pink and blue from the ancient days of the legendaries when the god-children were still young, and a horribly clashing green and purple very modern collapsing pavilion appeared, quickly following by streamers and a number of banners and flags that all showed images of Thomas's face and a shiny lucario, as well as the writing of the legendaries.

A massive multi-layered cake, and ancient crystalline jugs of wine and sake appeared, and then a tiny doll of Thomas and another doll of a shiny lucario quickly topped the cake as other foods appeared, and then finally Suicune and Mewtwo appeared as well as well.

[Mew!] Suicune roared out a bit, only to look around herself, hundreds of people looking on with wide eyes in silence of the sudden intrusion, before at last Mew himself appeared, a large plastic bottle of some fizzy green liquid inside, but no label finally appeared.

[Wedding Day! Wedding Day!] Mew cheered, out loudly to everyone around him, a dozen more bottles without labels and different liquids appearing around him as he shook them all now. Of course, Thomas the only "human" who could understand him, but there was no doubt any pokemon around them would understand fully, dozens of pokemon looking on utter confusion, some even shaking their heads or if they hands or other such appendages, tried slapping themselves.

The entire crowd was entranced, looking on without any idea of what was going on. Not even a minute ago, they had cleared the arena and were changing up the sponsorship flags around the arena for Devon Corp's up and coming sponsored battles, only for someone to be teleported into the arena, along with a few pokemon, and several decorations that implied a wedding, and then to top it all off were Suicune and Mew, not one but two legendary pokemon and one unknown possibly never discovered, maybe even undiscovered legendary pokemon were all now in front of everyone, including many greedy trainers.

With the shock fading now, several trainers quickly just threw pokeballs, but Mewtwo was faster. All the empty pokeballs were destroyed like a chain of fireworks, several dozen small blasts showing their destruction, but at least he spared those that had pokemon in them, instead holding them tightly, and then flinging them back hard against the faces of the trainers who threw them, breaking the noses of the few he felt were truly unworthy to have pokemon while he was it with the return throws.

Mew however remained entirely oblivious to the severity of the situation, childlike and joyful, uncaring about such things as those people who might want to capture him as all at once, the many unlabeled bottles of soda erupted like fountains as Mewtwo covered them all in a barrier.

'Why have I been brought here... What trouble does the pink rodent desire to cause that involves my presence.' Mewtwo stated very much annoyed and just barely angry now as a light blue field of power appeared over them, a barrier set by Mewtwo to help as Mew just kept cheering. The multiple bottles of soda however never rained down and instead collected into a large bubble in the air, the green, red, orange, white, and blue liquids all quickly mixing into one distorted large mixed orb of soda that Mew quickly rushed to sample and then spit back out a second later.

[Okay... dew is better maybe not mixed together in one...] Mew stated wiping his mouth and then throwing the giant fizzy orb into the air to rain down over the place, before just chugging some of the green drink he still had left in the bottle he was holding.

'Mew, explain. NOW!' Radara just snapped hissing loudly as Thomas just slowly looked around, seeing dozens of trainers all perhaps overly eager for a fight, the royal guards having quickly moved to surround Queen Ilene who was just standing in awe of things now. She had known that Mew frequented the castle, something of a secret of the Royal Family who had helped try to defend the playful pokemon for generations now at risk.

"Everyone will stand down at once, there will be no battling the legendary pokemon within the castle or the town of Rota!" Queen Ilene shouted to call for order quickly, the guards quickly moving to act on her orders. The call for more guards was quickly answered as guards from all over the castle rushed up and tried to help keep order as things quickly heated up.

[A watcher is getting married, married, a wedding a wedding we will have! And brother can be part of the family now, he must attend the wedding, he must he must!] Mew cried out loudly and cheerfully, dancing in the air and teleporting another bottle of soda, this one finally with a label.

[Mew, spit that out now. You know what that much sugar does to you.] Suicune quickly stated, moving up quickly and grabbing the large bottle of mountain dew from Mew even as he started to take another chug, only to whine and pout and following the bottle as Suicune forced it to the ground with her ribbons, and then forced a paw on top of it to keep Mew out.

[But dew is good, so bubbly and tasty...] Mew whined, on the ground and trying to take the bottle back, tugging on it as hard as he could, but he couldn't wrestle it from Suicune's grasp. Even when he turned wrapped his tail around it and tried to fly off with it, he was just grunting and whining unable to move it.

Order wasn't easy to maintain however as the guards quickly had to grab and restrain several trainers who saw the chance to try and capture two, or even possibly three legendary pokemon as Andrew finally noticed things, everyone just looking on.

'How does the pink annoyance restrain my ability to teleport us all freely.' Mewtwo quickly stated very much annoyed and started to worried, only to force several more trainers against the wall now in defense of himself and others, the guards now feeling the intent of some trainers guided by Mewtwo as Queen Ilene approached the barrier, Mewtwo sensing her intent allowing her enter as Andrew tried to rush down, Sarah also allowed entry into the barrier as she ran up.

"Thomas, what is going on?" Sarah quickly, Xent just inspecting his drink in the corner where he had been several seconds before rushing up as well, like Sarah and Queen Ilene allowed access through the barrier. A few others tried, but were quickly denied as the barrier proved solid and did not allow them entry.

"Who is responsible for this?" Queen Ilene quickly asked, some of her guards trying to follow her, but unable to, only her Mine Jr. in her hands quickly raising up its hands to draw attention to its trainer and queen. "Who are you to endanger and interrupt my court?"

"Please believe me when I say that I had no intentions of this, that this was all Mew's idea and actions that have lead to this giant interruption." Thomas quickly stated as he looked to Queen Ilene.

Queen Ilene just looked down to Suicune and Mew, Suicune refusing to let Mew have any more of the bottled drink and just sitting there now as she looked over and gave a firm nod as if to reassure Thomas's story.

'Thomas, there is an issue. I missed a few of the cameras when trying ensure our survival. There are now also dozens of trainers with pokedexes and phones capturing us on camera. We can no longer properly hide our presence because of the pink abomination.' Mewtwo quickly stated as dozens of trainers started to look at their pokedex's and tried to pictures and more, even Thomas's pokedex going off with an alert now, Thomas checking it and seeing some live footage of the castle arena before the camera was shut off, several dozen alerts about Mew and Suicune appearing because Thomas usually just double checked information about the legendary pokemon just to be sure that things were okay with them.

'There is no longer a point in hiding, we should leave and quickly.' Mewtwo warned as he continued to look around, now glaring at Mew. 'He needs to remove his restraint over me and now.'

[Mew is perhaps the strongest of us right now. He is fully matured, and his power manifests in more ways then any other legendary of our family. When we all sacrificed a piece of our power to help save those who were taken from us, Mew gave power like the rest of us. But being an aspect of innocence, an emotional aspect rather then being of the natural order, his power was different then ours. In the end, he recovers faster and while that has made him strong, he is still only a child. He may not even know he is binding us here for his idea of a celebration in his childlike wonder and glee.] Suicune quickly explained, keeping him still, before wrapping his up in her ribbons and holding him now, pulling him to her chest and resting her head on top of his.

[But all children sometimes need a firm hand, and I shall explain this to him when we are out of danger.] Suicune also noted after grabbing Mew who just whined and struggled lightly a bit more.

[Oh... Sui-Sui, why did you grab me... we have a party, a wedding!] Mew whined as Thomas just shook his head, only for Mewtwo to rapidly turn and throw his hand out. While everyone was distracted, a large of people has been slowly approaching the barrier, the royal guards forced to mostly just surround the barrier. Most were trainers wanting a better look, but there were also a number of reporters now getting closer.

Hidden among the crowd of those approaching now though were two minds that Mewtwo quickly picked up on and dragged hard into the barrier, throwing their hats off and hidden tiaras off, as well ripping their costume coats off. Now exposed, the knives that the two disguised Knights were carrying quickly made for a problem, even prop weapons were banned in the castle grounds just to be safe when large crowds were allowed entry.

The royal guards on either side of the two pinned men though were at first going to try and charge Mewtwo, only for them to quickly see the knives and then just as quickly grab and restrain the men. "These two have knives, combat knives!" One of the guards stated, and instant, all of the royal guards formed a much tighter ring around the barrier and tried to shove everyone back while the two Knights of Arceus were restrained and forced to the ground, and more thoroughly searched finding a number of questionable items since they were being searched so aggressively.

Things started to break down quickly as a number of reporters all tried to push forward, asking dozens of questions to all sorts of people ranging from the guards making the very clear arrest, the queen, and of course the reporters trying to figure out who Thomas was as he kept his head and hat low. The same luxury wasn't afforded to Sarah and Xent however with their costumes though, both getting questions barked at them as well.

"How does it feel to be the first trainer to capture any legendary pokemon?" "What is this new undiscovered pokemon and what do you plan to do with it!" "As the first trainers to capture any legendary pokemon, what are you thoughts on how to train and capture pokemon?" "Sarah Sigil, is Suicune your new secret weapons in the coming Master Rank Pokemon Contests!" Questions upon questions were layered up one each other by aggressive reports looking for first rites to have any questions, but some clearly stood out more then others, and perhaps the most aggressive of them were now all being aimed Sarah, more quickly following since she had been named, one reporter apparently doing their job too well and having recognized Sarah, going straight for her to try and get some questions answered.

The Royal Guards were quickly trying to force everyone away and trainers were started to demand matches and blurting out trades, everything that Thomas had been working to keep quite all of a sudden entirely undone by Mew and his child-like disregard for others. With everything getting out of control and fast, one of the knights used the chance to break free, calling out a pokemon which quickly broke the cuffs he was in and in the efforts to try and stop the pokemon, the now free knight easily snatched a blade from one of the royal guards and rushed the barrier, thinking his decades of combat training and expertise would let him finish the demon once and for all.

Hoping that his alakazam would be able to breach the barrier and let him through, the knight rushed forward without regard for his own safety. "In the name of Arcues!" He started, only to bounce on the barrier and then Mewtwo countered, throwing his arms up and launching the knight into the air, before slamming back into a pillar and holding him there, the blade that he had taken, now pressed against his throat, but along the flat side and not the sharp edge, a warning that the Mewtwo was in total control and was clearly choosing not to kill him.

The Royal Guards were easily concerned, but seeing as how it seemed to save Queen Ilene, they were a little less aggressive with the unknown pokemon helping them. Thomas was just shaking his head hard though. "Please... if you can just clear us a way, we'll leave and fast." Thomas pleaded, but Ilene shook her head a bit.

"If Mew is indeed involved with this, then I must have answers. To say nothing about the fact that we were all just attacked." Ilene stated, looking over them all, her Mime Jr. still mimicking her a bit, but not responding to any hostility from Thomas and the others, trusting her pokemon's instincts to keep her save right now, and with his calm nature, felt safe enough if highly confused and worried around them.

The questions outside just kept coming, but a new question quickly grew in attention, even enough to draw Thomas's attention now. "Thomas Falston, is it true that this is a wedding for yourself and your lucario?" One reporter asked, and several people went quiet and looked to the report, Eric there with a notepad in hand holding it up for the reporter to read.

Radara just acted on her own now, and with a hard flick of her tail, Eric was thrown up into the air, and then thrown back through a piece of railing on one of the upper floors around the courtyard.

"Radara!" Thomas half shouted, quickly feeling Radara's sudden feeling of relief and anger that she couldn't keep in check over it.

'He had it coming and I will NOT apologize.' Radara quickly stated, not evening trying to hide her voice at the moment. 'If he does not respond to firm parenting, then I shall do to him as he does to his pokemon and he has tried to do to me.'

'We should move quickly. I sense more hidden minds suggesting more knights are around and will no doubt be calling for assistance.' Mewtwo quickly added now, the two extra voices leaving Queen Ilene fairly confused.

"I am sorry, but I must have my answers. Mew has been protected here for generations, there are stories of him playing with pokemon and in the castle from well before my great grandmother's time. If he is in danger now, then I must know why and I cannot just allow you to leave." Queen Ilene stated.

"I can't talk here, not in front of everyone like this, please." Thomas quickly stated, carefully looking around now, only for Mewtwo to speak up again.

'She means no harm, nor do most of the people here, but we must move now. I cannot teleport us, but I can make it so everyone is forced to part ways for us until we can exit the castle.' Mewtwo quickly stated, looking around more, and then forcing another pair of knights into the wall, moving some guards up to them to arrest them as well.

Xent made the move first, once again acting on impulse and knowing something needed to be done. He did a bit of an acrobatic stunt, jumping forward and rolling a bit, before jumping up on the table, and in the aggravated confusion of things, called out Zai.

He landed up on top of the crystalline table, thankful that it was holding his weight as he took a great bow, making a clear show of things now while he looked to Zai, who quickly got the idea and bowed back to him quickly, a shimmer of illusions about her for a second. "Thank you all for enjoying this show, maybe I took it a bit far, but thank you thank you. And a special thanks my special guests Mew and my lovely zoroark for teleporting my guests to the arena and of course the show of some legendary pokemon. There is no need for questions, Thank you Thank you. I would invite the wonderful Mew to come dance with me, but with some undesirable guests, let us take a moment and clear the room." Xent yelled out, only for the crowd to just mostly silent from the stunt.

The silence lasted only a second though before someone yelled. "You suck, get thos-" The trainer started, finally thinking that he could take the legendary pokemon for himself, and that what was all Mewtwo needed to know now as Xent's stunt didn't solve anything. A bright flash of his eyes and everyone but the castle guards, those in the barrier, and a few others just went quiet. With it, he quickly sabotaged all of the recording gear that was present hoping that Xent's stunt would have a larger effect on those watching the televised and streamed event then it did on those in person.

"If everyone would please leave the castle, we apologize for the canceling the rest of the castle's festivities tonight." The commanding figure of the royal guards called out, and almost everyone just began to file calmly out of the room through the nearest exit.

With the exception of a few guests, namely Thomas's family, the only other people left were the royal staff members now besides them and the four knights currently being restrained. 'We must move quickly, there were too many minds for me to directly control. The idea of a forceful suggestion will wear off soon, minutes or less. More so, the pink annoyance would be protecting the queen as well from my control as well. How does it hold so little power and yet so much?' Mewtwo quickly stated as he finally dropped the barrier, the others starting to relax but Rebecca was still holding onto Thomas a bit confused about everything that was happening while Suicune still kept Mew in her ribbons restricting him.

Xent quickly dropped his head though, quickly shaking it and calling back Zai as well, his failure of an idea clearly not a highlight for his day, but at least everything was solved now.

"I am sorry, but I must repeat myself. Until I know why this has happened, I cannot just allow you to leave. You may be powerful, and you speak of trying to be peaceful, but if I do not tell the people something of what happened here, then there will be no peace for any of us." Queen Ilene stated looking over them a bit more, even sparing a glance for Vivian as she was allowed entrance at last, still going slowly because of her dress, but staying silent from the shock.

"My family has been helping to protect Mew for generations and now everyone will know that Mew is here, to say nothing of the troubles you have caused yourself being involved in this." She continued, only for Thomas to sigh loudly, today was nothing but a true disaster in every sense of the word.

"I know... I know the Cameran line has been caring for Mew for generations, and I hope that you shall continue to do so. This is all the fault of Mew, he is and will always be a child, never knowing the damage that he has caused here today, and I apologize for risking any harm to anyone here myself, but if we don't leave now, then others will come looking for us and they will not be so polite." Thomas quickly said, hoping that he could explain things away quickly, turning as Andrew rushed over at last, having finally made it through the crowd himself, Vivian still a ways back though because of her dress.

"Thomas, Thomas!" Andrew called up, rushing up, looking around, Mewtwo at last dropping the barrier but refusing to let the royal guards to get any closer.

"Thomas... then you are the son of Andrew and Vivian, representatives of Devon Corp, as was suggested by the reporter." Queen Ilene stated quickly now, remember the reports of things that were given to her, having always taken the time to try and learn a bit about all the guests that she might have to deal with, which included Thomas as well.

"Thomas, are you alright?" Andrew quickly asked, looking over to Queen Ilene. "I beg your forgiveness in this matter, my son has always had a way with pokemon and they are drawn to him." Andrew quickly stated, hoping he could help Thomas anyway he could at the moment.

"I would know the truth of this situation before I judge anyone for anything." Queen Ilene stated, still trying to keep as much control of things as she could.

"If you are in so much danger and have brought it to my castle, risking the lives of the people I have sworn to lead and to protect, I am surely entitled to know what is going on to help protect them after you are gone." Queen Ilene stated looking over the banners and more from the wedding that Mew had tried to set up, still worried for her people and pokemon, but with the crowd now gone, she spared glances at what all have been teleported into the arena.

"If Mew did this, if Mew truly brought all of you here on his own, then he knows you as well as he would the Cameran family. You don't seem to be aggressive towards him." She asked, looking on still before moving closer to Suicune and Mew.

"We... w-we... we could use the castle's secret passages. There are miles of tunnels all around the castle, and the Cameran Wine Cellars are just the reinforced and repurposed mines for the stone of the original castle. We could leave entirely unseen by anyone without moving through Rota at all." Thomas couldn't of think of argument for himself right now, but did however quickly figure out a way that they could avoid the crowds that would be surrounding the castle and more.

"How do you know so much about... you're one of the guardians of ancient times, family to the legendary pokemon." Queen Ilene now stated, remembering more stories from her mother and grandmother about the past.

"Guardians?" Sarah quickly asked, finally speaking up at last seeing as how Thomas couldn't answer things and knowing that something needed to be done.

"You... you are the family of the legendaries." Queen Ilene stated looking over them all know, but mostly looking to Suicune and Mewtwo, as well as glancing to Mewtwo.

"You... know what my son is?" Andrew asked, now confused himself because Thomas had made it sound like he was hiding as best he could and had been for a long time.

"My mother and grandmother have shared many stories with me, a history of things many would disbelieve but our family has seen and known for generations. I knew of Mew and his time spent playing for years before I even first had seen him. I know of the Aura Guardians and their actual mastery of Aura, and the Guardians of the Land, the family of the Legendary Pokemon, although I had never thought to meet one before." Queen Ilene stated.

"Then, word of us still does exist." Thomas said, reading her mind a bit and seeing the stories that she had been told by her mother and grandmother.

'It has been a long time since anyone knew of our lineage as family. I had thought we had hidden ourselves well, and the knights took care of the rest of our history.' Radara said, a bit impressed with the strange turn of events as well.

"My queen, I apologize, but things are getting worse. There are reports of someone trying to loot the Aura Inn, as well as some some pair officers pushing false claims of a kidnapping demanding to be allowed entrance, who refuse to confirm their identity." The leader of the Royal Guards stated quickly.

"Damnit." Xent quickly yelled out, quickly moving to rush forward, only for Mewtwo to drag him right back and hold him in place.

'You're going to get yourself killed running off recklessly.' Mewtwo stated as the Royal Gaurd quickly picked up his phone again.

"Clear out Cabin 3. Collect everything there and move it to the castle, under guard. Don't let anyone else touch the contents of the cabin, we have reason to suspect a group may be impersonating regional law officers in an attempt obtain information to intimidate the Falston Family into selling corporate secrets." The guard stated, only to suddenly shake his head as the phone was taken from him.

"Mewtwo!" Thomas called out, the guard going to draw his weapon, but just unable to as the Queen quickly raised her hand.

"I would ask that you do not take control of my court if you truly mean peaceful intentions." She stated firmly, her Mime Jr. quickly shaking his head and waving a finger in a big no-no motion.

'Actions must now be taken to ensure our survival, perhaps yours more then most. The information that I have been studying and collecting, in addition to the wealth of additional learning programs and subjects of all kinds that I have been learning would be extreme justification for their blind hatred. The information of Team Rocket that I have been reviewing alone is condemning to a standard court of law, but in the hands of religious zealots already prepared to commit murder for the greater good, they may well consider open war to prevent a potentially greater one.' Mewtwo stated as he looked up to the open sky above them and debating his options, before looking to the ground and clearly thinking.

"If you need proof of who I really am, I can give you that proof. In the cabin that you have allowed us to use are two weapons, a sword and a spear. They were the ancients symbols of proof of who the family of the legendary pokemon are." Thomas asked as Queen Ilene a small nod.

"I know of these weapons that you speak of. It was said that every guardian had a weapon or a sigil that served as proof of their blood rites. These weapons could only truly be wielded by those who were the truly family of the legendary pokemon, that they would only react to those who were given the blessings to match." Queen Ilene said, thinking back on the stories that she had been told as a child now.

'We should move quickly to these tunnels if they still exist. As soon as our things arrive and Thomas can prove his linage, you will allow to us. We should hurry though, my suggestion to the masses are wearing off.' Mewtwo added as the lead guard once again picked up his phone, only to move up the queen.

"My Queen, there is an unknown number with someone on the private lines who says that they have information regarding your safety and knows about what is happening here." The guard stated, Queen Ilene looking to him, before nodding and taking phone.

"Who is this?" She asked quickly.

"Queen Ilene... I hope you are still safe. The entity that has invaded your castle, I know what it is. As you are freely talking to me, I can only assume that you have found safety and your royal order of guards have done their job. I hope they have all still breath." The unknown male voice stated.

"I am well enough, but do not avoid my question." She stated now, not really hiding her words, and not exactly hiding the call from Thomas and the others.

"My name is King Marith, and I am here to help secure your safety if I am able. I am part of an order known as the Knights of Arcues, an order that I ask that you do not reveal. I already have some of my knights inside the castle, ready to help you at a seconds notice." The voice continued.

"The thing currently attempting to hold you hostage is an ancient evil force, one that has already attempted to destroy the world as humanity understood it once before. It is evil and it needs to be killed, but I will require your assistance and permission to do this easily. The entity is currently posing as one Thomas Falston, the fake son of two of your guests, who has tricked several hundred of people already into thinking that he was a child who has grown up with the Falstons for the past eighteen years. He has currently kidnapped Sarah Sigil, and is working with an unknown number of additional people." The voice noted, but Queen Ilene spoke up first before letting the man continue.

"You would make it seem as though the crimes of this man date back far in history, and yet the evidence that I have seen contradicts what you say. My guards have offered me a very detailed briefing upon Thomas Falston as well, and his guest of Sarah Sigil was clearly not kidnapped." Queen Ilene stated.

"The entire childhood of Thomas Falston if a lie, a means to hide himself and provide cover. There was no child raised by the two researchers despite large collective of paperwork that might exist to contradict this claim. The entire thing consists of fake images, a story of false memories, and lies upon lies to falsify identification papers. I assure you, that anyone traveling with this thing do so either to do its bidding, or they are taken. Sarah Sigil, a nice lovely young coordinator has likely been tricked the same as anyone else, but to travel at his side now confirms that she has been taken. We believe that she would not willingly participate with any schemes that this thing has. We only know that it intends to cause death and destruction, that it can and has killed to further its own goals with no regard for who must die that interfere with its agenda." The voice stated.

Thomas just looked to Queen Ilene rather worried now, but he was holding Rebecca still as she tried to figure out what was going on worried still but with very twisted feelings. The thoughts of a wedding, this being her wedding excited her but also confused her and seeing it ruined did make her a bit angry but she didn't exactly speak up right now. All she knew right now that Thomas was clearly helping to protect her while he was trying to keep an eye on Queen Ilene and her thoughts about this. Hearing someone try to call Thomas a lie though did finally get her full attention though and she growled a bit, Thomas just holding her a bit closer, and covering her mouth, trying to encourage her to keep quite.

"And you also make it sound as thought I cannot protect myself, that my guards are not enough." Queen Ilene added, now looking for information herself, her guards trying to track the number and more in front of her now.

"This things abilities are like that of powerful psychic pokemon, as well as having many other abilities. It fights with the strength of several champion level pokemon and while conventional weapons might slow it down, they will usually not be enough to kill it. Even firearms will not be enough, we have documented footage of one of these things slapping a cannon ball out of the air from less then ten feet away. A specialized poison is the only way to kill it proper. If it is in your castle, it is because you have something it wants. We do not know its final goal, but as it has already heavily demonstrated its ability to sow chaos and we know that it will hurt those who get in its way." The voice continued.

"You say this as though you have personal experience dealing with this thing. I find it hard to believe that such evil would not be recorded in history." Queen Ilene stated.

"We have killed one hundred and three of these things already. The one in your castle is the last of their vile collective. There use to be one hundred and twenty of them. A number died their initial attack against Arceus hundreds of years ago, and the truth of their evils were revealed. In time, as their numbers shrank, they were slowly forgotten and the truth of their being turned to myth, a dark story that people did not like to dwell upon and would come to forget. One by one, they have been found, hunted and killed. For the last few decades, we have been hunting the last one who has evaded us until recently." The voice explained, but now other voices were slowly sounding behind him, as well as the sound of rustling paper, if just barely heard as he talked.

Andrew and Xent were clearly strained from things though as the queen talked, before a silence over took the phone call. Even Suicune and Mewtwo were playing close attention, Mew still struggling but unable to break free as Suicune got up and carried Mew along with him to better hear what was being said. Almost everyone was on edge now listening to the phone call. Even Suicune was feeling rather angry with the man now as he kept talking and brought up the deaths of her younger siblings, Radara just ignoring it for now, having heard it too many times to really care anymore. The one who it had the most effect on however was Vivian as she listened, unsure what to think, but taking a few steps back.

"Queen Ilene, I hate to trouble you further, but I have a report here that suggests infamous pokemon poacher Hunter J may be coming to the rescue of this foul being. Her air ship has been sighted a few times, on a potential course heading for Rota. We must act quickly if we are secure your safety. I will need your assistance in this matter however. You must inform as many of your Royal Guard as you can that those men and women calling themselves the Knights of Arceus must be given free reign to perform their jobs, and tell them all to spread the word quickly, but also quietly." The voice continued.

"And how do I know that I should trust you. I've never heard of this group or any King Marith that you claim to be, your people have fake governmental identification papers falsely claiming to be federal agents, you have contacted me by calling a private phone is not handed out lightly using a private number that does not appear on any registry, and you have asked me more then once to keep this private and quiet between us." Queen Ilene asked now.

"Because your life, and the lives of almost everyone in your castle who is still alive now depend on us to save them. I do not mean this as a threat, but even those that this does not kill may be at a greater risk, for it may infect their souls and forcibly turn them to its side from inside their own minds and bodies. The lives of possibly your entire kingdom may now be a risk, and we may be the only thing that has a chance to save them. There may be some too late to save, and I fear for the number already dead, but you must listen to me now, this is the only hope for your kingdom." The voice stated very firmly, in some ways pleading for permission, and yet just as clearly sounding to remain in total control, that his authority outstripped any that Queen Ilene herself might have.

"That sounds rather like a threat to me. You have offered little evidence of anything for me to consider factual, instead offering stories of fanatical thinking and suggesting that I allow unknown people to engage in open conflict with my people." Queen Ilene stated, a bit annoyed now, hearing this man exaggerate everything that he was trying to tell her.

"Think about your people, the Cameran Kingdom. We are only trying to save them, and the world itself. If you do not do this for yourself, then think of them, and think of all the entirety of Japan, and the world itself. Countless lives can be saved with your assistance in this matter. My men are prepared to act on their own if the need comes of it, we understand what is truly at stake here, but lives can be saved if you allow us to perform our sacred duties to Arceus with your help." The voice continued, but Queen Ilene had enough, looking to the leader of her Royal Guard, who gave a small shake of his head also showing his distrust for things as he made quiet mention on his line to double the pace of the things being brought to the castle from the Aura Inn.

Queen Ilene merely gave a small nod back, before handing the phone back to him, and then looking to Thomas. "I have no trust of people who lie to me, but it would appear that you had proper reason. I feel unusual intent from the words of this man, who makes it sound like he may openly attack us anyway, for he has only hatred for you, and yet you seem to at least try to have intents to be peaceful here."

"Please believe me when I say this, the life of my son is no lie. He has hidden much from me, but now I understand why. He has always made a habit of helping people, of putting others before himself. Even before he caught Suicune, and this new pokemon, he called me and made arrangements to hide them from the public registry, just so he wouldn't cause them trouble. They wanted to travel with him, and he knew even then that having a legendary pokemon would endanger them." Andrew started now, quickly defending Thomas since the Queen had ended the conversation with this unknown man.

"His life is not a fake, the years I've raised him are real. I have photos, videos, memories and more that I know are not faked, he came into my life when he only a babe, and I have taught the values of life and helping others as best as I think I knew how. Thomas is a good boy and I don't know what problem this group has with my son, but I know when I think of my son, I cannot see him possibly doing anything evil." Andrew quickly continued, pleading with the queen.

"And what of the treatment of the one man who was throw away. I believe he was with you?" Queen Ilene asked.

'That was my choice, and my choice alone. I have suffered enough of his ignorance and attempts to openly attack my brother.' Radara quickly stated, now openly, giving a small bow and gently directly Queen Ilene's head to face her.

'On more then one occasion, that vile man has attempted to openly physically punish myself and Thomas, he condemns noble acts of selflessness trying to make Thomas accept payment for anything he does, thinks of us both as lowborn second rate citizens undeserving of anything because we refuse to give into prideful acts of flaunting every accomplishment we do, and went out of his way ruin our relationship with Andrew and Vivian. I had thought that taking his ability to speak ill of others would serve a lesson but as you saw, he openly tried to publicly destroy Thomas with false rumors and unwelcome attention when he could no longer confront Thomas himself. I was rough with him yes, but I assure you that he will be fine.' Radara stated, taking a seat before Queen Ilene.

"And so... that was retaliation in a way... but I too trust your words. It was unnecessary, but I do not feel that you are evil." Queen Ilene stated, looking over them all now, Vivian still staying silent, unable to make sense of everything now, but taking a few steps back. It was clear that the words were having an effect on her, and she didn't know what to believe at the moment, only for some guards rush the door.

'My suggestion has broken, people are now stopping and attempting to reenter the castle. The guards with our things are nearly here, but now obstructed. I can feel them protect the wagon that they are carrying out things on, but things are now difficult.' Mewtwo stated, before turning around.

'I now also feel more clouded minds, the knights have forced their way in quietly as well. Thomas, you mentioned secret passages. Where are they? We need to move as soon as we have our things.' Mewtwo continued as Queen Ilene just pointed to a large wall on the side of the courtyard.

"There is a store room through the passage here. In the back, you will find a staircase hidden behind the racks used to hold the benches for the assemblies here in the courtyard. That passage will you to lower kitchens and has easy access to the wine cellar. As you said, there are miles of tunnels down there, many repurposed, but most of them leave the castle grounds, and a few go under the river. You will likely have to break your way from this side, but many of the old entrances for them are forgotten and hidden away. Do you have some place to go after that?"

"We will go the Tree of Beginning. We will not be attacked there and it is a safe place for us. No person could follow us there safely and we will find a place to rest and think about things in peace to figure out what to do next." Thomas quickly stated.

Queen Ilene quickly nodded, and pointed at two guards, and then to the wall as she went and took the phone back now.

"I demand proper answers as to who you really are now." She stated as she moved away from them, possibly to buy some time as the guards knew what to do, rushing to the wall.

"Come on, hurry up. As soon as your things get here, we will escort you to the wine cellar." One of the guards stated as they rushed to the wall and carefully opened up a hatch that was hidden away.

A moment later, two more guards moved in, a wagon behind them with a large box that was pulled down and opened up revealing their backpacks and other things. All three of them quickly went up to grab their things, Thomas going for his trainer safe first and clipping that to his belt, taking a second to make sure that it was secure, going for his weapon now, the Dragon Eye which could prove who he was. As soon as it was revealed however, the guards quickly went to point their weapons at him, the Queen quickly raising her hand to stop them as she approached, merely only quietly listening to the man on the line.

While Sarah and Xent started for their pokeballs, clipping them onto a pair of trainer belts since they didn't have a moment to change right away, Thomas merely gently held the blade carefully with both hands on its side. Closing his eyes as he held it before the queen, he let his power flow into the god-metal blade. Its blue body turned bright for a second, and then flickered with gold, the hilt and pummel gems flickering green and showing that the weapon did belong to Thomas.

Queen Ilene just watched for a moment, and then nodded before turning away again. "And if I have reason to believe that you not being fully truthful with me." Queen Ilene quickly asked now turning away to go back to the conversation, fully believing Thomas over this strange caller.

Feeling safe now, Thomas quickly turned back and went to get his own pokeballs now, reaching for them and putting them all on a belt like Xent and Sarah were who wearing their over their shoulders at the moment and putting the rest of their things away.

As Thomas grabbed the last of his pokeballs though, a series of large icicles were smashing into the cart, everyone turned towards the open sky as the pokeball that Thomas had just been holding exploded, releasing his absol Saber in the confusion. A second and third volley were already on their way down, but Mewtwo caught then and quickly reversed their course, a pair of cloysters were being held by a machoke on one of the higher parts of the castle, with two other figures there beside it.

The two cloysters quickly closed their shells as Mewtwo countered by throwing their icicles back at them, and the machoke used the cloysters to bat them away harmlessly. Mewtwo's barrier once more appeared over them, this time covering the ceiling as a few guards rushed over to try and help them.

'They are out of my range. How did they even make that shot to begin with!' Radara hissed as she could only defend at this range and didn't want to risk damaging the castle or others by just flinging things at them.

'They are not out of mine.' Mewtwo quickly solved his issue by flying up to them as the guards all rushed to circle Queen Ilene, a few also moving to protect Andrew and Vivian, pushing them all back into cover. Mewtwo just as quickly disposed of the cloysters, ripping them from the hand of the machoke and spinning them around himself now as extra projectiles.

Slamming them both into the machoke, and then bouncing them towards the other two figures, Sarah and Xent quickly just started shoving as much as they could into their bags as Thomas to recover a bit more again, his one hand singed and burned a bit from having a pokeball explode in it, but also calling Rebecca back, this time with her permission and kiss to her cheek.

With Mewtwo distracted though and dealing with the group above them, a few more knights attacked, rushing in through the back, the pair rushing up with long swords just ignoring the royal guards. A pair of Mr. Mimes at their sides assisted in a different way though, trying to separate Thomas, Sarah, Xent from the others, Saber also getting separated in the confusion. Even more, a pair of glaceons were now rushing towards the Queen and others, instantly trying to force them back with ice beam attacks trying to keep Thomas from getting any kind of aid.

Thomas instantly reacted though, sword already in hand and parrying the blow meant for him, even if it cut clean through one of the straps on his just purchased backpack. Stepping to side and forcing the knights blade down, the knight dropping his blade and quickly going to back hand Thomas, which Thomas also avoided. The man hardly slowed though, going in full on for hand to hand now, and with a fake jab, tricked Thomas into trying to block an attack that never came, only for the knight to grab his arm and throw his sword away to the side.

The other knight went for Xent though, and while he just barely avoided the eager to kill strike that was going for neck, the knight after him instantly followed up by twisting around trying for a secondary stab with the sharp spike on its pummel. Xent grabbing the only thing he could, he just barely managed to block the secondary stab with a metal serving tray that had been on the table he was using to try and shovel things into his bag.

While it worked, it didn't stop the knight from punching him in the face before he could react knocking back and dragging his bag with him. The knight was still on top of him and with both hands was ready to thrust his blade down hard, Xent just blinding reaching for anything and grabbing his bag and pulling it over his chest just in time for the blade to come down. There was a large flash and sudden sickening squelch and a roar of pain as the bag just exploded all of its contents out, the fishing pole spearing right into the knight's eye instantly disabling her as she stumbled back holding her face.

Thomas was just as quick to disable the knight attacking him however when his knight turned to check on his partner, Thomas gave a grunt of pain as he used his injured hand to grab the knight by the neck and then it was easy, shocking him until he fell down entirely limp and just drooling.

Radara was still dealing with the Mr. Mimes, trying to handle them, but having some issues since all they did was try to defend, and the two of them working together were a problem as Radara was now also searching for anyone else who might pose a threat, while also trying to help everyone, suddenly without Mewtwo's assistance.

Mewtwo finally rushed back down though dragging two more knights behind him, just tossing them to the ground and grabbing the long length of rope that had also spilled from Xent's bag and trying up all four of the knights, tossing the pokemon back against the closest walls to knock them out.

'Into the tunnels. An airship approaches and I believe that it belongs to this Hunter J. In my research, I have found numerous mentions of this airship before.' Mewtwo stated helping Xent up and then rushing into the store house moving aside everything to reach the back and practically ripping open the trapdoor, Xent just barely noticing that his trainer belt was off his shoulder and going to grab it.

Forced to give up two of their bags and many other things hearing that an airship was coming, Xent tried to grab his belt again, but finding that it only had one of other four pokeballs on it, he yelled out, but Mewtwo just dragged him along and practically threw him into the cellar entrance after Sarah. Thomas rushed down after him, Tavu's spear now in hand and forced to abandon his Dragon's Eye since he couldn't spare the time to find it.

"Suicune, Radara." Thomas called out, both of them rushing towards him and going down the stairs, Thomas then following them into the kitchen, Sarah already looking around for the wine cellar, and quickly finding it, moving quickly to try and get to safety, her dress slowing her down now that things were in the way and keeping her slow as she had to watch her step now.

Suicune still holding Mew rushed past them to check on the way, nudged the doors open for them before moving down the passage to lead the way since danger was behind them, and then waiting for Sarah and Xent to catch up, Sarah having to almost drag Xent along. "They'll be fine, but we'll be killed if we get caught." Sarah said, clearly holding it together better then anyone else right now as she stepped down the passage.

Behind them in the kitchen, one last knight was hiding, but hearing voices came rushing up now, calling out his pokemon a rhydon, only to come face to face with Mewtwo who threw a wine barrel onto the rhydon.

'You need to go, now hurry. I shall secure you passage by collapsing the tunnel after you are through, and then I shall go protect Andrew. I require my pokeball.' Mewtwo quickly stated as he threw the last knight to the ground, and with a tail slap tossed away the rhydon that had been recovering.

"Wait, what?! Andrew is in danger?" Thomas quickly asked, turning around at the sudden words.

'The knights who ambushed us from above were the commanders of this operation, but they were not here for you. The knights appear aware of the documentation obtained from the Goldenrod Museum already which have lead them to direct confrontation with Team Rocket. Some members have been told to try and kill him for association with Team Rocket dealings believing that your involvement with him was to guide his hand for destructive purposes, but other knights were clearly told to take him into custody to see if he can be saved. There is much unrest between the Johto Knights, and the rest of them. Hurry now though, down the tunnel.' Mewtwo quickly stated.

"No, no I can't just leave Andrew if he's in trouble, not like this." Thomas quickly stated, Radara running up to his side as Xent and Sarah started to turn back, looking down the tunnel confused and waiting for Thomas, Mewtwo, and Sarah.

'You will, now go. I shall protect him. I owe you my life as it is, and for all you have taught me, I shall protect Andrew. I have questions for him already, and I will require his assistance to recover. Not only do I owe you much already, but it is to my personal benefit to protect Andrew, and while I am able, I shall protect both of your foster parents.' Mewtwo stated, just taking his pokeball from Thomas now as he looked back to the room, a large barrel moving from its place and rolling over block the tunnel, pushing Thomas back.

'Thomas, I believe him, we need to move now. You're still in no condition to truly fight and the knights will not risk open war just to kill one to get past one pokemon that they know too little about.' Radara quickly stated, pulling Thomas back even more, rushing into the tunnel before Mewtwo closed it fully behind the barrel, and then started stack others beside it, even moving ripping bricks from the wall of the tunnel to further hide the passage.

"Damnit man, hurry up!" Xent yelled out, helping Sarah down a staircase now, before Sarah just got caught.

"Man... this is such a nice dress... Xent, I hate to ask but I need your tunic." Sarah grumbled, as she ripped the dress on something when she heard a tear and had to tug the side of the dress to keep moving, not even caring what it got caught on.

"Really?" Xent grumbled, but then blushed a bit as Sarah just very clearly reached behind her and undid the tie of the dress, it quickly going lax over her shoulders, one hand on her chest to keep it held up.

"I've learned to wear shorts under everything like this, you never know when your dress will catch on something or a stray flying attack like gust or something else will fling the skirt up, but I couldn't find any shirt to wear under this just incase and I'm not going topless okay?" Sarah whined, but already quickly noticed that Xent was already pretty much holding the tunic for her in his hands and had turned away.

"Thanks." She said quickly taking it and then quickly let the dress fall and got fully out of it before quickly putting the tunic on and tightening it up as much as she could.

It was clear that Thomas was still worried though and hardly noticed Sarah changing until he was up by then and then quickly averted his eyes as well. "I don't like it, its too loose, but its all I have right now... We should hurry up and move quickly now." She said as she turned to look at Thomas now, Xent turning back around.

"Hey, where's that other one?" Xent asked, quickly noticing that Mewtwo wasn't with them.

'He has chosen to delay our pursuers and then will be staying behind with Andrew and Vivian, Thomas's foster family.' Radara quickly explained, looking over the one single bag that they had, Sarah's and even then it was wasn't full properly, and then looking to the shoulder strap that had a spare pokeball clip on it, but there was only one pokeball there. 'Andrew and Vivian will ensure that any pokemon you have left here will be returned to your parents... Do you have anyone that you want us to see your pokemon sent too, some place that they will be safe?'

At the mere mention of this though, Xent just full on slammed his fist into a wall, uncaring that he was bleeding now from it and then looking up. "I... I need to think about it, but yes, yes I fucking know!" Xent half yelled, knowing that he couldn't just go get them now, or possibly for weeks, or months even.

Before he could say anything else though, there was a sudden rough shaking and the loud angry noise of stone falling hard, Mewtwo having collapsed the tunnel just like he said he would.

"Welp... there's no going back for now. We... W-we should go." Thomas stated, knowing that all of them had lost things, reaching down and checking his trainer safe, making sure that it was still on his hip. Taking a second to open it, he was at least relieved that everything he had in it was still accounted for, if a bit shuffled around. Most importantly inside the safe was of course the start of his Lover's Crest with Rebecca, but he had also just taken to keeping his old pokephone and pokedex inside, which he had never got rid of.

"Phones..." Thomas said, pulling out his pokephone that was just kind of replaced with his current pokedex. Xent quickly knew why Thomas was asking and pulled out his, two of them for that matter while Sarah dug hers out a bit confused.

"You're not going to-" Sarah started, having an idea, but Xent quickly confirmed it.

"Unless you want them track us quickly and openly, they've got to go. Pokedex's are much harder to track, all you really have to do is put in offline mode and turn off automatic updates. They also have considerably more protection and security measures, and have most of their personal data on a separate network chip. Beyond that, it takes a specialized high court order to get the permits for them since they double as person ID and have lots of personal information." Xent explained as Thomas took the phones and started popping out all the batteries, before taking a few extra seconds on each one until each one pretty much caught fire, tossing it into a nearby bucket, and even then grabbing a bottle of wine and just smashing it into the bucket as well.

"Just in case, I'd start deleting any contacts you have on your pokedex. I know Sarah really likes to keep her phone and pokedex separate, but they might try to access them later. Its already clear that they can access governmental information." Thomas sighed loudly, before looking to his old Hoenn pokedex, and then frying that as well, before adding it to the bucket with the phones.

"What about that new model of pokedex you have? The newest models are full of extra features as well, anything special about that one?" Xent asked as he started to walk along beside Thomas and Sarah down the tunnel, Radara moving ahead and searching for anyone who might be there.

"Its a prototype model, not even officially part of the network net. It needs a full update and new chip to even be considered properly active. Its the only real reason why I started using it." Thomas explained as Sarah pulled out new model as well with Xent's word.

"You sure seem to know about about this kind of thing." Sarah said, doing as Xent suggested, putting it offline mode and turning off the update features.

"I don't trust a lot of people, so I found ways to make it harder for them to find me." Xent explained as he gave a small shiver from the chill of the tunnels, it not bothering too much, but he could also see the Sarah was still a bit cold as well. "Let's move fast through here, where do these tunnels let out?"

"Not that much farther if we have to get out quickly, but the old mines went on for a while and were then repurposed because of underground springs and the natural chill they had, perfect for storing food, wine, and other things. As soon as get on the other side of the river, there are dozens of ways out, or at least there were." Thomas explained as he took off his hat and just threw it down one of the side tunnels.

"We'll meet up with Suicune and Mew at the Tree of Beginning, but until then we need to stay hidden." Thomas sighed. "We'll stop for food and some clothing today, but we can't stop for anything else."
