Here is the fifteenth chapter in this series released in keeping with my self-imposed upload schedule for this series. The initial hero classes are over and now it is time for some normal school stuff but of course this is U.A. nothing is as straightforward as that especially now that the press has gotten wind of who is teaching there this year. That is all the administrative stuff I have and while there are no questions that need answers or guest reviews that need responding to so I will leave this off here. Chapter 15: Brief Resumption of Normalcy

"You're in the Hero Course, right?" A pushy female reporter in a blue business suit with dark brown hair said as she thrust a microphone into Noelle's face as she tried to get through the mob of reporters that were outside the school for some reason and tried to get through the gates so that she could head to her homeroom. "What are All Might's lessons like? Is he a good teacher?"

"What, you're talking to me?" Noelle said as she glared at the reporter and flicked one of her pigtails away dismissively. "Go away insect."

"Yes, oh wait I know that design in your ears." The reporter said suddenly really interested in Noelle and not at all put off by her attitude. "You're a member of House Silva, one of the great Quirk Knight Houses, you have to be because only members of the House can wear it. Amazing, this only adds to the news today. I didn't realize they ever sent offspring here. Why are you here? Is it because of All Might being a teacher that made you defy your family's history with Shiketsu? Tell me."

"Why you…" Noelle said her anger rising but she fought it down, after her display in the battle trial she was going to do better and work with Asta, so she had to avoid giving into things like this, especially when dealing with people as far beneath her as the press. "My reasons for being here are my own now be gone insect, you know my family's stance on roaches like you."

With that Noelle flicked one of her pigtails again and turned to walk into the school grounds where she'd be safe as the reporters stared confused at her before Midoriya appeared trying to get through the back of the reporters. That got their attention, so they turned to him and a few others who'd also just arrived like Uraraka.

They could deal with it; Noelle was above the media who never liked her family, and the feeling was mutual so the best thing for her to do was to ignore them. She didn't really care why All Might was a teacher here but he was still a big deal so she could understand the attention the school got for having him on staff.

Regardless, it wasn't her concern as she made her way into the school and to her shoe locker where she opened it and withdrew her indoor shoes, changing out of her outdoor ones and storing them there before turning and walking to her classroom. She'd come early to see if she could get some homework done and see if Asta was around, not because she wanted to see him but because he was a fellow Quirk Knight track student so it was good to be able to work together like she'd said she would the other day.

So far they'd not had much chance to as the day before had been Grimm Studies. Yes she'd sat with him and Nero during it, but she'd not been able to have lunch with him and the others yet. Momo had encouraged her and Weiss to do, which she decided she'd try to manage today but still, Asta was friendly with Rose who Weiss had her own issues with which could complicate things.

However, that was Weiss's issue to deal with, so Noelle decided to leave it to Weiss and do her own thing. She and Weiss had a lot of similarities, more than even they realized, so if she could overcome her initial issues with Asta, Weiss could do the same with Rose.

It was as Noelle was thinking this that she entered the classroom and blinked to see that the only people present were Asta and Nero. She'd not expected that, and they'd been chatting a little which for some reason that she didn't understand annoyed her as Nero was, while oddly reserved, a cute girl in a petite, almost adorable, way, but Noelle ignored the strange feeling she was getting as she walked in.

"Didn't you two deal with the reporters outside?" Noelle asked as she walked to her desk behind Asta to put her bag on it and then moved to be able to talk to them.

"Reporters?" Asta asked. "Outside? As in the classroom? Why have they come into the school?"

"No, they're outside the school not the classroom." Nero said. "I saw them Silva, but Asta and I live in the special housing that the school provides for students with economic difficulties and who have no support system to afford a cheap place in town."

"Right, it's part of our enrollment." Asta said with a smile as Noelle noted that Nero was back to calling her by her surname after using Noelle's given name to emphasis her point in the battle trial. "It's on campus and we get food from Lunch Rush but to make up for it we do have to work around campus cleaning it up and doing other odd jobs around after school for the teachers and other staff members. Makes life busy but I don't mind, it's a lot of stuff I did at the church back in Hage so it's nothing that I'm not used to. Yuno also works though he has a different schedule and jobs to me and Nero."

"And I'm different from Asta at times as I'm often needed for my Quirk." Nero said. "Sealing can repair things easily, so I'm often used to do just that though as we are in the same class we do get assignments together most of the time."

"Ah I see." Noelle said though she didn't get it but as someone from one of the wealthiest families around she wouldn't and was more focused on, and oddly uncomfortable with, Asta and Nero working together on things, but she just chalked it up to them all being Quirk Knight track students who should stick together. "So, you didn't need to worry about the reporters hounding every student who tries to enter the school with questions about All Might."

"So that's what they are there for." Nero said. "Makes sense, he is the number one normal hero. It would be similar, though probably not as intense, if it was the Wizard King I'd say."

"The Wizard King?" Asta asked his interest peaked. "Do you think he'd ever teach here?"

"No clue." Nero said with a shrug. "I may know a lot about the first one but after him I know very little about those who've actually held the title officially and not retroactively like he did. What about you Silva? Do you know anything? Does a former Wizard King teach at a school?"

"Noelle." Noelle said as she made her mind up with Nero.

"Come again?" Nero asked tilting her head in confusion.

"I asked Asta to call me Noelle after he saved me in the battle trial so I should ask you to do the same as well." Noelle said. "We are the Quirk Knight track students so it should be right that we're on a first name basis between us. Asta doesn't have a family name so it's not an issue with him, but your give and family names aren't Nero, are they?"

"No, they're not." Nero said her tone as neutral as ever though she was surprised that Noelle had asked her to call her Noelle as Nero had only done so to drive home a point and was fine with calling her Silva.

"What are they?" Noelle asked. "I know you go by Nero, and I'll call you that if that is your desire, but what is your actual first name. I know All Might called you Swallowtail in the battle trial so that has to be your family name."

"It is though I don't really use that either as I have no family anymore, so Swallowtail doesn't mean much to me these days." Nero said completely deadpan as if it didn't bother her, which it didn't though she was nowhere near ready to share the finite details as to why she didn't care for her family name anymore. "And fine, you'll see it from time to time anyway, so as you want to know my legal first name is Secré but if I'm to call you Noelle then stick with Nero for me, alright."

"Agreed." Noelle said with a nod.

"Good now my question about the former Wizard Kings, Noelle." Nero said using Noelle's given name to make it clear that she'd do as the other girl asked from now on. "What do they do when they retire?"

"I only know of two former ones that are still alive though I've only heard about them from my brother Nozel and the stories my father used to tell, I've never met them." Noelle said. "One is very old and a senior member of the church, he was a member before he rose to his position and returned there when he retired. He's called Edward Avalaché, and as far as I know he doesn't teach. The other is the guy before the current Wizard King, the disgraced Conrad Leto."

"How do you become a disgraced Wizard King?" Asta asked confused. "It's a huge honor to be Wizard King, why would anyone taint it?"

"You become a disgrace when you suddenly betray all your values and become a villain." Noelle said. "Which is what Leto did, or so I've heard, and he fled the nation to parts unknown when he turned his back on the Quirk Knights, so no one knows why he's gone rogue. Regardless, we don't talk about him."

"Oh." Asta said.

"Disgraceful." Nero said her anger clear in her voice.

"Yes, had it not been for other greats falling to villainy like that Lady Nagant hero and some notably Huntsmen and Huntresses over the years, I think it would be more widely known." Noelle said. "But in the Quirk Knights don't mention Leto."

"Got it." Asta said as a few of the other kids came into the class clearly having been grilled on their way in and thus changing the subject as he saw their drained faces. "I wonder how the others are doing?"

From the sounds of it not so well and Noelle looked around wondering that too. The reporters were going to make things annoying for the class, she was sure of it.

"Hey, you're also one of the first years in the Hero Course, right?" The female reporter who'd been hounding all students who entered U.A. that morning said to Ruby as she made her way with Yang and Blake to the entrance of the school having arrived with both of them that morning as Yang's precious bike was in the shop for some routine maintenance, so they'd commuted together. "What's it like to have All Might as a teacher? We want to know."

"Er it's good." Ruby said confused. "I…"

"Come on Rubes just ignore them." Yang said as she literally picked her sister up and throwing her over her shoulder much to the reporter's surprise as she marched through the gate while just Blake sighed at her actions and followed. "They aren't your time and Miss Midnight hasn't yet taught her class on media relations so don't bother with them yet."

"Wait, Blake, save Weiss." Ruby yelled as she noticed that the same reported that had just harassed her turned on Weiss as she walked up to the school and held out her hand vainly to her new friend. "Weiss, we'll save you."

"Huh, oh ok." Blakes said as she turned, backtracked a bit, and grabbed the white-haired girl that Ruby had been studying with the night before and was currently stretching towards by the arm to get her away from the reporters. "Come on Schnee, Ruby's right this isn't worth it."

"Huh." Weiss said as she was dragged away while a reporter was yelling at her now that she'd heard the name Schnee because it was unheard of for a Schnee to be at U.A. but there was one, as well as a Silva, so the reported was desperate for so many answers that she wasn't going to get. "I know how to ignore the media."

"Yeah, well Ruby likes you and Huntresses should look out for their own, especially when dealing with normal hero related media." Blake said as she let go of Weiss and they proceeded into the campus where only they could enter because of their student IDs as the reporter turned to interview Ida which turned out to be a big mistake on her part though was karma for her annoying everyone else. "They can be rather annoying especially when they realize we aren't normal heroes."

"Thanks." Weiss said glad that Ruby liked her now and vowing to avoid what had caused their issues in the past as Yang finally put her sister down halfway to the entrance so that they could turn and wait for Blake and Weiss. "Blake? That's your first name so what should I call you?"

"For now, Belladonna." Blake said. "That's my family name, we're not close enough for first names yet though if you are close to Ruby then we might be that in time."

"Alright well thank you Belladonna." Weiss said as they reached the other girls. "And I hope to get closer with Ruby as her friend and fellow Huntress classmate this year."

That was very true to Weiss because the day before hers and Ruby's issues had finally reached a head in Grimm Studies when Weiss had blown up at Ruby for her distracting her during a demonstration against a Boarbatusk Grimm by giving her advice and that blow up had been in front of the whole class. It hadn't been a good look for Weiss and afterwards Professor Port had had some words of advice for her so Weiss had hurried to find Ruby and apologize to her to begin her amends. Ruby had accepted that and an invite to Weiss's apartment where they were able to have a proper and healthy talk.

It had done wonders for their relationship and mended it to the point that they were on a first name basis as Huntresses should be. After their chat they'd done homework together with Weiss helping Ruby with the notes from Port's lecture and Ruby giving her tips on the local Grimm that Weiss hadn't fought before.

That lasted a few hours before Ruby was picked up by her sister who showed up on a loud, yellow, motorbike that had Weiss thinking that if Yang was a man she'd be seriously overcompensating for something, not that Yang needed to that for a woman's version of it as Ruby's sister had a figure most women would die for. Seeing Yang now without the helmet for the first time though Weiss understood Ruby's point on the hair, it was something else and clearly Yang's pride and joy alongside her bike and this was the second ranked Huntress and third overall student in the school.

Still, she was Ruby's sister and as Weiss hoped that Ruby would meet Winter one day she was going to be friendly to Yang and Yang's best friend Blake who was the one who'd grabbed her but who Weiss had yet to speak to until that moment hence why family names were appropriate. Regardless, she was grateful for the help getting through the reporters.

"Why are they all here though?" Ruby asked as the four girls walked to the school's entrance. "They've been around for a few days now but today's the day they really came up to us to harass us."

"All Might is a teacher now." Blake said. "It's big in the hero community so they want to know more, I guess. Doesn't bother me though. The man's a great hero and one punch from him can beat most Grimm out there but he's still a standard hero."

"It makes sense that there would be a lot of interest in him but to accost students is too much." Weiss said. "I was just trying to get to school."

"As were we all but as third years we don't have to worry too much about that." Yang said. "Well leave the others to it. Come on kitty, let's get to class."

As Yang spoke, she eyed Weiss closely, the girl had had issues with Ruby so she was worried, but they'd patched it up and Yang would trust her sister's judgement. However, if Weiss did mess up and hurt Ruby in anyway then she'd make sure that the Schnee heiress knew it.

Yang would protect Ruby no matter what and if this was more than just a friendship, which Yang teased but didn't think it was, not that she'd judge or lover her sister any less if she swung that way, well Ruby had certainly aimed high in that regard as Weiss was a stunning girl from a top tier family. She was proud of her sister's ambition in that regard, if that was the case, and if not well she was still glad that Ruby had been mature about what had happened between them and was now making what might be her first close friend at U.A.

"How many times do I have to tell you, I don't like cat puns." Blake said though her cat ears flicked in a way that showed she did like them, but she would never admit to Yang that she did. "You're draining, you know that."

"Yup now come on, I want to see if Luck is juicing up Nora again before class starts, that's always fun." Yang said as they headed off to their shoe locker. "See you girls later, behave yourselves."

"Your sister is rather…outgoing." Weiss said as they went to their shoe lockers to find Ochaco and Izuku there and looking drained as they changed shoes as well.

"Yeah, she's great like that, makes up for my shyness but it can be a bit much at times when I want to be less social." Ruby said. "Oh, Midoriya, Uraraka, did you encounter the people outside?"

"Yeah, but we got away." Ochaco said with a smile before noticing Weiss there and suddenly got a little awkward after what happened the day before between the Huntress girls. "Oh, Schnee, um…"

"I get it, I've already apologized to Ruby, but I am deeply sorry for my actions, they were rude, disrespectful, and unbecoming of a Schnee." Weiss said. "I've got a lot to make up for and I'm starting that today. I know you guys are friendly with Ruby, so I hope to be as well."

"Woah first names already." Ochaco said her eyes wide. "I guess you're serious."

"Weiss and I are good now." Ruby said as they all headed to the classroom. "Just some growing pains that we had to work out but as future Huntresses we should be close."

"Adapting to high school is like that." Weiss said. "I am sure you can relate."

"Yeah, it's nothing like my junior high." Izuku said recalling those bad years and how already his time at U.A. was going better than back then. "Different and not in a way though."

"Yeah, I agree." Ruby said. "Signal was fun for the training but here I'm actually with people who get what we do be it hero, Huntress or Quirk Knight so it just feels like we're closer already in a sense."

"I was home schooled so I wouldn't know what it's like as this is my first time at a normal school." Weiss said. "And even then I was groomed for Shiketsu, which is much more traditional than U.A., until I rebelled but I don't mind being away from home, it's just a different kind of adaption for me."

"And you will Weiss, we all have things to adapt to now that we're in high school." Ruby said as they entered the classroom to see Silva chatting with Asta and Nero as Ochaco went to her seat and Izuku to his. "Apparently Silva is doing so as well."

"Good for her." Weiss said as they made their way to their seats noting that Noelle was focused on Asta which was interesting. "She's worse than me I feel."

"Well, you're both like total tsunderes." Hagakure butted in as they passed her, seriously even with her uniform on the invisible girl was something else. "So of course you'd be similar."

"What!" Weiss said with a jump as she turned to the girl as she recovered and asked about the unfamiliar term. "What are tsunderes?"

"Sorry, I'm big into anime and manga and you two are like textbook tsunderes, Silva more so but still both of you would be classified as tsunderes if you were manga characters." Hagakure said as she turned to face them, and the girls took their seats in the row next to her. "All cold on the outside and initially harsh to others but really caring inside once you warm up to people. You both have come off like that already though clearly you're past the initial harshness to start warming up."

"I don't think I am." Weiss said. "And this is the real world not whatever it is you're referring to Hagakure, so people don't act like that."

"I don't watch that stuff so I wouldn't know." Ruby said. "But…"

"Alright the reporters have triggered the barrier so they won't be an issue for a while, please be in your seats so we can get down to business." Mr. Aizawa said cutting off any conversation as all the students made sure they were in their seats by the time he reached the lectern. "Good, now because you have now had your initial classes in the Hero Basic Training and Grimm Studies, which you lot managed to cause a few scenes in that I won't get into as those responsible either already understand it or it's not relevant until further investigation is done, we wait until after they're done for this. As such, now it is time to decide your future."

That really got to the students as they stared at their unorthodox teacher with worry. They knew of the incidents the day before what with Schnee and Rose's argument, which seemed to have been sorted out already as the girls had been noted chatting together as they entered, and whatever it was that Asta did that was apparently big so they understood why it wouldn't be addressed. As such they were all nervous and expecting another Quirk test from their teacher.

"It's the start of the year so you have to choose a Class Representative and deputy Class Representative." Aizawa said in a bored tone as the class let out a collective sigh of relief, well most of them did, at the normal school stuff. "I don't care how you do it just do it by the end of homeroom."

"Hey, pick me guys, I want to be the rep!" Kirishima said instantly volunteering. "I know that I'll be good at it."

"I'll take it if it's up for grabs." Kaminari said. "I can do it, I swear."

"I'm the one you should choose." Jiro said raising her hand for the job.

"Style and sophistications is key so you should pick moi." Aoyama said standing up for the role before Ashido leapt in front of him waving her arms as he tried to say more.

"I'm like totally the right pick guys." Ashido said as Mineta leapt up onto his desk to volunteer. "So, pick me for the position."

"What's the big deal with this?" Asta asked looking at the clamoring voices in the class as Bakugo's loud one joined the din of volunteers for the role. "Why does everyone want it?"

"Like I know." Nero said looking around perplexed at the disruption. "Didn't go to a normal junior high so all of this isn't something I deal with."

"I was homeschooled." Asta said as Ruby added her own name to the list of those wanting the role as she understood what the role meant from Yang explaining it to her, and complaining how she failed to get it three years running. "So, I have no idea what normal high school, or normal school in general, stuff is."

"As was I but I get this Dorksta." Noelle said with a sigh as she came up with a nickname for him for when he wasn't being smart and certainly not a pet name that only she could use. "It's a big deal in Hero Courses because while it is extra work like a normal high school Class Rep it is also a good way to get noticed by agencies or Quirk Knight Squads as it proves that you can lead a group of people. In Shiketsu the teachers actually choose the Class Rep based on the student's overall conduct and grades. I only know this because my sister was rather pissed she lost it to Weiss's each year they were there."

"I heard that as well though from the winner's perspective, which I'd expect from Winter." Weiss said. "She was very proud of being her Class Rep and wants me to be the one here. I may have once wanted this role but I'm good now as I've realized that this is something I should earn, and I don't feel like I have yet so this year at least I will take myself out of the running for it."

"That is oddly mature of you." Noelle said. "I already know where I'm going to end up, so I don't need it."

"Wait noticed by Quirk Knight Squads." Asta said as he got into it now and thankfully not questioning Noelle on her statement as she didn't want to explain how she was being exiled to the worst Quirk Knight Squad as part of her being allowed to enroll at U.A. and become a Quirk Knight. "Damn, if I actually knew what the role entailed I'd really want it, but I've never been to formal school before, so I'd have no clue what I'd be doing as Class Rep."

"Silence everyone, this is not how we should be deciding such an important role." Ida yelled as he stood, his arms moving stiffly as he got the class's attention and they turned to him as the shouting died down. "The Class Rep's duty is to lead the class as the chosen person by the class for when there are no teachers present and to serve as the intermediary between us and the staff. That is not something that just any of us can do but rather can only be done by someone with the trust of every student in the class. As such, the best, nee the only, way to properly decide such an important role is to do so democratically. Therefore, we will hold an election to choose our leader."

"It's obvious you want the roll." Half the class pointed out.

"Is this the best way to do it though?" Kaminari asked. "It is the start of the year after all, we've only had a few classes together."

"Yeah, we've only known each other for a few days other than Bakugo and Midoriya and it's clear that they're not exactly friends." Tsu pointed out though unbeknownst to her and the rest of the class Ashido and Kirishima also went to the same junior high though they didn't know each other well until a little incident in their last year and even then, they'd not really spoken so both had agreed not to bring it up or that Kirishima's hair was naturally black. "Well, them and Yaoyorozu, Schnee, and Silva seem to know each other but not in a school context, so how do we know who's best for this role? There's a lot of trust involved in being Class Rep after all."

"And besides, in a democracy you can vote for yourselves." Kirishima pointed out. "So, what's preventing us from doing that? Surely we all will do just that and split the vote."

"That is true, and I expect most people in this class will vote for themselves." Ida said turning to Kirishima as swiping his arm down towards him as he spoke. "But doesn't that mean that whoever does receive multiple votes after only knowing each other for a few days is the most suitable kid for the role? It's the best way, right Mr…"

"I said that I don't care how you do it." Aizawa said in a bored tone as he was already in his sleeping back. "Just decide who the Class Rep will be by the time I wake up."

"Thank you for your trust in us." Ida said as their teacher fell to the ground to sleep though few really felt like it was trust. "So, let's vote."

The rest of the class saw the logic and so they all got a piece of paper and wrote the name of who they thought was the best for the role on it and then folded it up and took it to the front of the classroom. Once the last of the votes was in Aizawa woke up and counted them for the class to put the results on the board which had some interesting surprises, mainly because only 4 in the class got multiple votes and they were tied with two of them at three votes and the other two at two votes.

"Ok which morons here voted for Deku?" Bakugo roared at the results that showed Midoriya and Asta at the top with 3 each while Yaoyorozu and Rose had two each. "And for that short, loud, extra as well?"

"Did you really think anyone was going to vote for you with your personality?" Sero pointed out while Ida fumed at his desk raging at getting no votes and a cursory glance at the names missing could reveal the votes though no one was putting two and two together on that front. "We've barely known you and already we know you're an ass."

Still, Ochaco opted to whistle to herself in her back corner as she'd voted for Deku because she felt he would be the best at the position but wouldn't reveal it with Bakugo still raging. Meanwhile Noelle pointedly looked at the wall her face bright red at having voted for Asta for Class Rep as she fought an internal struggle on her justification for said vote.

Momo, who was too surprised at getting a second vote besides her own to use her brains to deduce that it had to be Todoroki, Ida, or Uraraka who'd voted for her as it was clear who the other missing names had voted for, noticed and was perplexed by Noelle's reaction to the vote. It was almost as if she was embarrassed by her vote and Noelle Silva was not someone Momo knew to get embarrassed.

"Zero votes." Ida grumbled over the noise in the room that got the classes attention. "I know I can't argue with the system that I proposed but still…"

"So, you voted for someone else then?" Momo asked looking to Ida when he spoke, as did Todoroki, Sato, and Asui, and deciding to leave Noelle to her embarrassment as it seemed to be private. "That does show integrity, but you knew that most of us went for ourselves for the role."

"It was the best way to vote." Sato said. "What were you trying to prove by not doing that Ida?"

"I didn't think it right to vote for myself." Ida said. "I'd rather win without it and get the support of the class, but the results speak for themselves, and I accept them."

"Correct." Aizawa said to them getting their attention. "It's a tie and as we're out of time, therefore the joint Class Reps are Midoriya and Asta, while the deputies are Yaoyorozu and Rose."

Izuku was nervous at that as he'd not expected to win at all, but the rest of the class began to get behind them with how the training had gone and Yaoyorozu did have a lot of analytical skill while the other two were accepted as they represented the other track students. Momo worried about the results given Midoriya's nervousness, but she'd put up with it as it was how the system they'd opted for worked.

"Alright now that that's decided it's time for class." Aizawa said as he headed to the door which was thrust open, and his old friend Present Mic strode in. "First up, English. I'm off to nap."

"Alright, the grumpy guts is out so now let's learn some more English, ya dig?" Present Mic said in English without a trace of an accent as he looked over the class. "So first off…"

With that the Class Rep vote was behind them and they all knuckled down and began to learn their normal courses for the day. Still, it was in the backs of their minds, but they'd have to wait until lunch to discuss it and that would end up changing everything about the morning's vote.

"Why is this place always so crowded?" Noelle grumbled as they got their trays of food, Asta and Nero seemed to have a special menu that they could choose from while she got the nicest thing she could find, and began to make their way through the crowded dinning hall. "It's packed right now."

"Lunch Rush makes some of the best food around." Nero said simply as they looked. "And it's cheap so most come here for the meal. It's so packed because students from the General Studies, Support, and Business Courses are also here."

"Yeah, we get some of the cheap stuff as part of our allowance but it's all good to me." Asta said his own meal heavy on meat it seemed as he led them through the dining room looking for a place to sit. "Now let's see, who do we know that has some free seats near them?"

Noelle had decided earlier that today was the day she started eating with Asta, and Nero, and told Momo as much but promised they'd still do meals as well at times. Momo had just smiled, however, and told her it was great news that Noelle was making more friends in the class and that she too was branching out and eating with Jiro and Ashido while Weiss seemed to be ok eating with Rose now. Noelle had offered a small smile at her friend's support but now she just sighed as Asta looked around though she'd also not bothered telling Asta and Nero she'd be joining them, she just did.

Of course Asta didn't mind, Noelle was a Quirk Knight student like him so he was fine with it while Nero was just indifferent. Her reasons for a lot of things that she did were her own but she'd noticed the fire and passion in Asta in the entrance exam and after the battle trial she knew for certain that he was the one to truly complete the legacy so she'd mentally sworn her loyalty to Asta.

As such she would be by his side as much as possible, that included joining the same Quirk Knight Squad as him, and help him to achieve his goal of becoming Wizard King. This was purely platonic on her part, not that she expected Asta to ever fall for her that way either, because after everything Nero had been through she wasn't sure she could truly open her heart like that again, but she'd be there for him. If that meant putting up with Noelle, who already Nero could see was starting to fall for Asta in that sense, then so be it.

"Oh, there's Yuno and he's got some free seats next to him so let's see how his battle trial was." Asta said with a grin as he noticed Yuno was already at lunch sitting next to a homely but attractive girl with vermillion hair cut in a straight fringe and opposite a redhead boy with long hair tied in a tight braid. "Looks like he has friends with him this time so more people to meet."

"Who's…" Noelle began going to ask about this Yuno kid but then she saw the girl next to the stoic looking black haired boy Asta was walking to and the hairstyle of the boy opposite him and groaned. "Great, I was hoping to avoid this for a little bit longer."

"What?" Nero asked as they walked over, Asta grinning at Yuno the whole time as he called out to Yuno.

"Asta." Yuno said simply as Asta neared and put his tray down next to the redhead boy who oddly had a bandage on his cheek and Noelle sighed as she walked out from behind Asta and put her tray down next to him pointedly ignoring the other students as the girl in the group they'd approached gasped. "I see you've decided to join us today."

"There's not much space and besides I wanted an update on how your battle trial yesterday went." Asta said as he began to eat. "We won ours the other day by the way."

"Noelle?" The girl asked the amazement in her voice as Nero put her tray down next to said girl and just began to eat in silence. "Is that really you? What are you doing here?"

"Wait, is that really Noelle?" The boy next to Asta said looking around him at the silver haired girl. "Well, I be damned it is you. I second Mimosa's question. What are you doing here? Your family never sends its members to U.A."

"I thought you had Quirk control troubles." Mimosa said before raising her hand to her mouth at what she'd said. "Oh sorry, are you still having them?"

"I see you're as filter less as possible Mimosa." Noelle said with a sigh as the vein in her temple twitched and while she actually treasured her cousin a great deal because of all the people in their age bracket and social status she'd been the only one to support Noelle's training for control despite her own control being so much better, she couldn't let the statement go unanswered. "And are you as dim a bulb as ever?"

"I'm doing better now that I have friends in Class B." Mimosa said with a smile. "But I still want to know why you're here. Leo's right, your family never sends people to U.A. Even your mother went to Shiketsu while mine went to U.A. and they were sisters."

"Wait you're related?" Asta asked confused as he didn't see it at all.

"Yes, Asta this is Mimosa Vermillion of the House of Vermillion one of the three great Quirk Knight houses." Noelle said gesturing to her cousin that was sitting across from Asta. "We're related through our mothers who were sisters which makes her my cousin."

"And I'm Mimosa's other cousin through our fathers." Leo said from next to Asta. "Name's Leopold by the way. So, you won your battle trial, how?"

"Yeah, we faced the Huntress girls in our class the other day and beat them." Asta said proudly. "I even bested the one who was a recommended student, Rose, while Noelle inadvertently took care of Schnee. Nero won it for us after I saved Noelle, so it was a team effort."

"Well damn we won as well." Leo said as Mimosa looked confused at Noelle because she was trying to process Noelle beating Weiss in combat and couldn't. "Faced the heavy hitters in our class as well though that was just how the draw went for us. We only have one Huntsman in our class so while we were a team being the Quirk Knight students we got to face normal hero track ones."

"It wasn't hard even if Leo had to boldly sacrifice himself for us to win." Yuno said with a smirk. "Even you could have done it Asta."

"Hey, we won, Noelle may have destroyed a few floors of a building and Nero passed out along with both Rose and Schnee, but we did it." Asta said. "So there."

"The only damage we caused was a minor flood that was needed to cool a room and Leo was hit through a wall." Yuno said. "While we actually captured one of the other team without knocking him out so better than you."

"Damn well I'll just get better that you and show it next time." Asta said. "And then I'll be the Wizard King."

"Foolish Asta, the title of Wizard King will be mine." Yuno said smiling at his friend, brother, and rival.

"Hey, I'm in this as well." Leo said as he looked at Asta. "So, you're after the same spot in the Quirk Knights as us. What's your Quirk?"

"Yeah, I am, and it's called Anti-Quirk." Asta said. "I can summon a massive sword that will cut through or reflect a Quirk depending on if it's the edge or flat and if I hit your Quirk factor with the edge it will be nullified for a while."

"Damn that's impressive, alright it's decided you're my rival as well." Leo said slapping Asta on the back and causing him to splutter out some food that thankfully didn't hit Mimosa opposite him though she was more intrigued by Asta than anything else. "We'll compete with Yuno for the title of Wizard King one day."

"I am?" Asta asked confused.

"Yup and as a token of that rivalry I insist you call me Leo." Leo said. "What was your name again?"

"Um ok." Asta said. "And it's Asta."

"Great more loudness." Noelle said with a sigh as Nero just gave a tiny nod of agreement at that.

"It's exuberant but fitting I feel." Mimosa said with a slight chuckled as she looked at Asta, she could tell there was something special about him and she really wanted to learn more about him, but she turned back to her cousin when she remembered what Asta had said. "Wait, did you lose control in your battle trial? Is that why we had a different section of the cityscape to your class?"

"I had a small issue." Noelle said that Nero coughed at and ignored Noelle's subsequent glare. "But Asta and Weiss helped me out before it got any worse so I'm good. I do need to work on control though."

"Then how about going to get a support item to help suppress your power to some extent." A new voice said, and Noelle looked to her side in surprise to see Weiss there as she set her tray down next to Noelle while Ruby appeared next to Nero to sit as the girls had decided to eat lunch together and it had turned out that there were spaces at the same table as some of their friends and a few new people. "It might help you to have something to focus your Quirk and force you to use less of your power and I'm sure the support course here can provide that. You've got the talent Noelle, we all saw it, so maybe an item can help you maximize it."

"I think I saw it though I was blacking out at the time from that faceplant of Asta's sword and Weiss being blasted through a window." Ruby said helpfully. "You were in that giant ball of water to the end, right?"

"Yes, that was me." Noelle said through gritted teeth. "Hydromancy was running wild despite my best efforts."

"Yeah, that was so cool, you've got like loads of power." Ruby said with a smile. "No wonder they allowed you in as the exception. Weiss said to consider you a recommended student, so I do."

"Oh, so that's how you got in." Mimosa said as the boys devolved into some eating contest that Yuno was trying to avoid partaking in but when Leo started buying more food for it which he didn't pass up. "That makes sense and with Eraser Head as your homeroom teacher you can really grow because he can help suppress any incidents."

"It has turned out for the best." Noelle said with a nod. "And Asta's Quirk helped as well but I do like the idea of a support item to try and at least force me to use less water. How would I go about sorting that out?"

"Just go to the Development Studio after class whenever you have time." Ruby said. "Actually, I need to go register my personal support item making license there so we can go together, and I can begin tweaking my sweetheart as I think she got a little banged up in the battle trial. The studio here is amazing from what I've heard and as a Huntress I can use it so long as I have the right paperwork, which I do."

"As do I so I'll come as well." Weiss said.

"Asta and I actually have work there after school tomorrow so we can join you if that's when you go." Nero said. "I'm likely needed to fix some damage that is bound to occur in a place like that and Asta's needed for manual labor."

"Great then it's decided." Ruby said with a grin. "We'll aim to go tomorrow so we can go as a group."

"Um sorry but who are you?" Mimosa asked looking at the short, tomboyish, and rather energetic, girl with black hair that had red tips who had just decided on a group trip to the Development Studio. "I take it you're in Class A and a Huntress it seems but what's your name?"

"Huh oh sorry, I'm Ruby Rose." Ruby said sticking her hand out to Mimosa and in front of Nero who just blinked at it but then ignored it. "You're right, I'm a Huntress track student in Class A, you can call me Ruby or Rose I don't mind."

"Oh, ok then call me Mimosa, it's actually easier with my cousin sharing my family name." Mimosa said taking Ruby's hand and shaking it before letting go quickly. "Mimosa Vermillion."

"No way, that's the Quirk Knight house associated with U.A., my sister told me about it." Ruby said before she recalled something. "And I saw your name on the recommended accepted list and another Vermillion so that has to be your cousin."

"Wait, Rose you said?" Mimosa asked and Ruby nodded. "So, you're also recommended, that's impressive. We mainly got the recommendation we needed through connections, though we still had to prove that we had the power to back up a recommendation to U.A., but you must have earned it."

"I'm learning to accept that yes." Ruby said with a nod.

"Ruby more than earned her recommendation just as I earned my way in normally." Weiss said surprising Noelle that she was on a first name basis with Rose now and how ardently she supported her fellow Huntress less than a day after her blowup at Rose. "She's talented for sure, especially with how she uses her Quirk."

"I bet well I hope we face off then." Mimosa said with a smile. "I'm still perfecting my offensive skills, so I want to improve in that regard."

"Of course." Ruby said. "We're all Hero Course students so we should work together."

"That is right Rose, well said by our deputy rep, well one of them." Ida said as he appeared at the table and sat next to Yuno who just blinked at the arrival of more of Asta's friends from Class A as Izuku and Ochaco took seats next to Leo to complete the group and leaving just one free spot next to Ida on the table. "We should all be working together."

"Oh, so you decided your Class Rep as well." Leo said looking over them. "We just did that though it wasn't too hard."

"Yup, Midoriya and I are joint reps and Rose and Yaoyorozu are our deputies." Asta said as Ochaco began to enjoy her rice. "I have no idea what it entails though so I'm not sure if I was a good pick for the role."

"You have no idea what the Class Rep does?" Mimosa asked. "And still you're it in your class? Impressive."

"Yup and somehow, I got three votes though I don't know how as I thought I'd only get one from myself." Asta said. "So, I was really surprised at getting it alongside Midoriya."

"I voted for you." Nero said simply surprising no one in Class A but Asta and Noelle.

"What?" Asta asked.

"What yourself." Nero said back to him. "I figured you were best for the role, so I voted for you. So did Noelle for that matter."

"I, I just didn't want it and I felt you were best after how you saved me and all that's it." Noelle said going red and not denying it mainly because anyone who saw the results would know that she didn't get a vote and as Asta got 3 he was the likely one she voted for, maybe Momo but the whole Quirk Knight connection and saving her were strong factors in Asta's favor. "No other reason so don't read into it."

"Oh, ok." Asta said as Nero did read into it though it wasn't too hard as Noelle was clearly an open book on this front and Asta was just denser than what should be humanly possible.

"I wonder who voted for me as well?" Ruby mused. "I'm one of the deputies because I got two votes, but I don't know who the second one was."

"Dolt, I did." Weiss said as if it was obvious which it kinda was. "I don't deserve it after my behavior, and I feel like you would be a good leader Ruby, so I showed my support on that front by voting for you."

"Oh, you did, thanks Weiss." Ruby said with a smile at her friend that Weiss liked.

"So, who's your Rep?" Asta asked Yuno.

"Itsuka Kendo." Yuno said. "It was pretty unanimous actually as she really took charge yesterday at times in terms of coordination for the whole class."

"I feel like she's a big sister type." Mimosa said. "She looks out for us so she's the best choice."

"And Nirengeki Shoda got the deputy spot as he was pretty good at organizing the guess." Leo said. "So, I lost that to him there but as my brother would say I should use that as a learning experience."

"Guys, I'm actually worried about this rep thing." Izuku suddenly said and they all turned to the green haired boy who Mimosa and Leo didn't know but did note that he was just staring at his katsudon not but not eating it. "I'm not sure if I'm qualified."

"Of course, you are, I wouldn't have voted for you otherwise." Ochaco said her eyes closed as she ate her really tasty rice. "You'll be fine Deku."

"Wait you voted for me?" Izuku asked flushing at that, a girl showed support for him and not just any girl but Uraraka of all girls, it meant a lot to him. "Th, thank you."

"As did I." Ida said revealing his own vote. "You've got courage and a quick mind under stress, admiral traits that are desired in a leader. Then there is the strength you demonstrated in the battle trial, that's why I voted for you."

"Didn't you want to be it, Ida?" Ochaco asked looking at him. "You seemed keen on it when you took charge, and those glasses help you look the part."

"That's not exactly the right way to choose a rep." Yuno pointed out.

"Regardless, wanting a job and being the right person for it are different things." Ida said. "Just because I wanted it didn't mean that the class agreed with me on that front, and it showed in the vote."

"Wow, you sound just like my brother." Leo said looking at Ida. "Right down to the formal speaking and seriousness with how you address situations. It's actually kinda eerie if you ask me."

"Oh, and your brother is?" Ida asked.

"Fuegoleon Vermillion." Leo said. "I really look up to him and want to surpass him someday which means I have to beat him to becoming Wizard King as well."

"The leader of the Crimson Lion Kings, I'm impressed." Ida said. "I too have an older brother that I look up to and aim to emulate as a hero one day."

"Who's your brother?" Leo asked.

"Tensei Ida." Ida said. "He who runs the Ida family hero agency as the pro hero Ingenium."

"No way, my brother's worked with him before when he's had to go into Tokyo to catch a wanted fugitive." Leo said. "That's so cool, you'd totally get along with him."

"I think Ida sounds like my butler, but I don't think they'd get along as Klein is great but an acquired taste to most." Weiss mumbled causing Ruby to snicker.

"Yeah, we've just got to do our best Midoriya." Asta said though he did share his friend's worries about the role of Class Rep. Even if…"

Before Asta could finish what he was about to say there was a sudden loud bell sound that got all of them to look around in confusion and question what it was as none of them had heard it before. They learned what it was a second later as the intercom went off.

"Warning, there has been a level 3 security breach." An automated voice said. "All students must evacuate the building in an orderly manner."

"What's a level 3 security breach?" Ida asked a student who was already moving to the exit corridor though orderly manner was about to go out the window.

"It means that someone has gotten past the U.A. barrier and is now on campus." The boy said looking at Ida a note of panic in his voice. "It hasn't happened in my three years here and we should listen because if we don't Xiao Long, Voltia, and Valkyrie might go off and find them and individually they have reputations for destruction, everyone knows that, so together and inside the main school building could be an issue."

"Isn't that…" Weiss asked looking at Ruby.

"My sister yeah." Ruby said as they got up and she looked around to see a scuffle going on a few tables away as all three named individuals tried to charge out and were being held back by others in their group as they argued about saving the school and Yang began to threaten punching them out if they didn't let her go. "Looks like they're trying. How does one…"

"Miss Pappitson would you please control your classmates." The Principal's voice said over the intercom. "This is a situation and I'd rather not deal with the repairs. You have full authorization to use Cotton to restrain your classmates."

They all blinked at that before there was a sudden explosion of cotton at the table where Yang and the others were and a second later the entire area was covered in massive mound cotton as a tiny girl with black hair in a bun danced on top of said cotton while eating food as the cotton writhed beneath her but those inside it were unable to break out, or if they could they were choosing not to. Ruby just blinked; it was some serious power to subdue Yang like that and as it was cotton she was sure that Yang couldn't use her Quirk to absorb the damage from the blows as cotton didn't exactly hurt when it hit you.

"Thank you, please remain on your cotton Miss Pappitson as if there is a need to release your classmates I want to do so quickly." The Principal's voice said. "The rest please make your way to the exits orderly."

"I'd better get nums for this, these people don't like my cotton binding." The girl on the ball called out to no response. "Hey, principal, make sure I get extra nums alright. You don't have to worry about miss punches her way out of situations when this is over."

"What just happened?" Ida asked looking at the cotton in confusion.

"Miss punches her way out of situations?" Weiss asked.

"Yang." Ruby said with a sigh. "Her usually solution to a problem is to punch it until it goes away."

"Pappitson, that's what happened." The boy who Ida had asked about the security breach said. "She's one of the Quirk Knight heroes in the third year and one of the strangest ones at that. If she actually tried more she'd easily be a top 10 student in the Hero Course, but she cares more about food than fighting and this was during lunch, so she's upset. Best to get moving and not anger them because Pappitson is right, Xiao Long will be angrier than before when she gets out of that cotton ball."

"Sorry Yang but this is for your own good." Ruby said taking a picture of the cotton ball that had her sister in it just before they were all swept up and out of the dining room by the growing mob of students.

In moments they were in the corridor and separated from each other as they tried to make their way out of the school, but couldn't as everyone was pushing and shoving and in quick order as orderly manner was not what was happening. Yuno thought of using his Quirk, but he wasn't sure of the rules and besides there was so many people that he wasn't sure what would happen while the others also contemplated various actions. Only Ida managed to get somewhere as he ended up by the windows and saw the truth of what was going on.

It wasn't an attack on the school as he'd feared but rather the damned press that had been hounding them earlier. Now they were back and wanting All Might and had somehow gotten onto school grounds and were trying to find him so as to get a statement from him about his new career path.

It was unacceptable that all of this was happening just because some reporters were trying to get a story and Ida needed to do something, but he couldn't get the attention of people in the chaos. The teachers weren't around for some reasons, and no one was listening to each other in this chaos. Ida was sure that he could calm it down by explaining the situation but only if he could be heard. However, at the moment he couldn't, he needed to get out of this crush of people to manage that and that was when he heard Uraraka's scream.

As he tried to push through the mass of students to reach and help his classmate he wondered how Midoriya or Asta or Tensei would handle this situation and he got the idea as he tried to help Uraraka because she was just who he needed help from to be heard. As he pushed towards her he held out his hand and asked her to make him float so that he could get above everyone and get their attention. Uraraka clearly understood what he wanted, or at least trusted that he had an idea, and after a few missed swipes hit his hand and a second later Ida was above everyone.

The moment he was, his glasses had fallen off in the process though as he'd expected many to be broken in training it wasn't an issue to him, he looked around for a spot to get the mass's attention and saw it at the end of the corridor above the door they were trying to all get through at once thus causing a bottleneck at it. With his destination found Ida hiked up his pants and activated Engine to get there.

He'd not factored in what would happen if he used Engine while floating in the air so rather than a smooth trip he spun with a yell as he flew forward which had the added benefit of getting everyone's attention thanks to the noise of his Quirk and his actions thus causing the students to slowed down. Then, of course, Ida hit the wall, hard, and stuck there arms and legs at right angles but be didn't care as he needed to tell them what he'd seen.

"Listen up, everything is ok, U.A. is not attack!" Ida yelled as he grabbed the pipe above him and stood on the exit sign above the door though he was still weightless, so this was more for stability than anything else though he was shaking but he pushed past that as he yelled at the gathered students. "It's just the media that's been camped out and harassing students about All Might. They got past the barrier and are looking for him so there is nothing to worry about. We're U.A. students, we need to act like them by remaining calm and proving why we got into the best educational institute in the nation. We were told to calmly head out so let's do that."

That did work and got the students present to calm down and just as they did so the sound of sirens reached their ears showing that the cops had arrived to get the reporters away. They were committing trespass on private property so they could be escorted off U.A.'s campus and everything went back to normal.

As they did Izuku saw Asta, and they nodded at each other. They knew what they had to do after Ida's display and it made sense so it would be best to do it right away as they got back to lunch to finish up and go to the afternoon class, ignoring the now swearing ball of cotton with a tiny girl feasting on an obscene amount of food atop it that was still in the cafeteria in the process.

"Class Reps." Momo said as Ruby stood next to her, and she looked at Asta and Izuku. "Let's begin shall we."

"Begin what, I'm resigning." Asta said to the shock of the class though he was grinning as this was what he and Midoriya had decided on as it would be easier for him to resign without question given his past lack of formal schooling. "Two Class Reps is just going to be complicated and I really have no idea what I'm doing, I've never been in formal school before, so I might mess this up. I thank the support I got, I won't forget it, but this is for the best."

"What we need to do is decide on the other class officers but first there is something I want to say as well that is in line with Asta to some extent." Izuku said shaking and looking down as Asta just went back to his seat the class getting over his sudden resignation without an issue as he had a valid point and his election had come from the other two Quirk Knight students so it was clear that he had their support which would benefit him in the long run. "I've thought about this since I was chosen, by only two others mind you, and I think, and Asta agrees though his reasons for standing down are valid in their own right, that Ida should be the Class Rep, not me."

That got the attention of the class, especially Momo who stared at Izuku in shock though Ruby just took it in stride. Ida himself sat up at that as he'd not expected this, especially after he'd explained why he thought Midoriya should be the Class Rep.

"Earlier he was able to get everyone's attention during the panic at lunch after seeing that the situation was fine." Izuku continued as he explained his reasoning and he got more confident as he spoke. "He got not just us but most of the school from all four courses and all three years in line. As such, I think that he should be the one leading our class from now on."

"You know what." Kirishima said as Ida gasped at Midoriya's words. "If Midoriya vouches for him then I can get behind it and Ida did solve the situation earlier when no one else was able to do so. We would have been trampled without his aid."

"He did have the right idea." Asta said helping sell it from his seat. "Things could have gotten really bad without him."

"Correct, totally manned up to take charge of the situation." Kirishima said with a nod. "That's what a leader would do. None of us thought to look out the windows or get above with Uraraka's Quirk. Really saved a lot of people from needless injuries just because some overzealous reporters trespassed on campus."

"Yeah, he really did." Kaminari said. "Plus, he looked like the emergency exit stickman when we was on the wall. That was hilarious and really lightened the mood right when we needed it the most. Helped calm me down for sure."

"Emergency exit Ida." Sato said. "It did work to get everyone to stop panicking."

"This is a total waste of time." Aizawa said from his sleeping bag as he looked up causing Izuku to jump at his teacher's words. "I don't care who the rep is, though I do agree that Asta was unqualified given his background and the need for experience in this role."

"Thank you, sir." Asta said but a glare from Aizawa shut him up.

"Hurry this up." Aizawa said as Ida rose.

"If Midoriya is nominating me for the job, and for the record I do think Asta could have done this job, but I respect his reasons and reservations and hope he will be a class officer whenever we decide on those." Ida said to the class as he stood there. "Then I humbly accept this nomination and pledge to carry out the duties of this office to the best of my abilities. Will you accept my nomination?"

"Sounds good, Emergency Exit Ida." Kirishima said with a thumbs up at him.

"Don't let us down, Emergency Exit." Kaminari added as the class in general either accepted this or were indifferent to the change and with that Ida became Class Rep.

"But he got no votes, and we got two." Momo complained as the class got behind Ida for Class Rep. "Hello."

"Sometimes the best for the role isn't the one who wins the vote at first." Ruby said with a shrug as she patted Momo on the lower back due to not reaching her classmate's shoulder with their height difference. "We'll do our best to support him."

Momo just sighed and nodded at that as it was decided that Ida would be the Class Rep while Momo and Ruby remained as the deputies. It was for the best, Ida's level of organization would be critical in the role going forward, and as they moved onto the lecture that would be the Hero Basic Training for the day everyone was fine with the Class Rep choice.

Ida had shown himself during the chaos that he could be efficient even if he looked like the emergency exit stickman and so they could follow him. Little did they know what that little incident was actually designed to cover up and what was about to be in store for Class 1-A as they continued on their early hero journeys.

A brief moment for the heroes in training to actually be normal school stuff for once and with the new members the class vote was a little different, but the end result the same thanks to Ida's actions and Asta really wasn't qualified for the role but if there was an election for the second-year Class Rep then he might get it, unless something major was to occur that would prevent matriculation that is. As for other officers, I know other fics out there have them but as the MHA canon does not list what they are or who holds the positions I will not be having them in my fic. It will remain as Ida the Class Rep with Ruby and Momo as his deputies. Also, the references to Ida sounding like Klein and Fuegoleon is actually a deeper meaning as they all share the same English VA just like many others across the series do and so whenever a character from one franchise says that another character from one of the other two franchises says that that character sounds like someone they know that is the reference being made. Lastly, Both Conrad Leto and Edward Avalaché are former Wizard Kings in Black Clover that will be appearing in the upcoming film for the series and at the very least Leto was designed by the creator himself so while anime films are not always canon I will be treating the 4 former Wizard Kings from the film (that we know about at the moment) as canon for this series so while there are less Wizard Kings in this fic due to the timeline being less the 6 known ones will be at least mentioned. Funnybunny was mentioned a few chapters ago and for those wondering the last one is Jester Garandros who was the 16th Wizard King in Black Clover (Edward was 20th and Conrad 27th) so he's the final one that may come up. From what I've gathered, Leto is the antagonist of the film and I intend to watch it when it comes out (though it's been delayed 3 months) so once I do I'll know more and do my best to incorporate them into this story if it fits. Anyway, that is all that I have for you, next up is a special chapter that was teased in this one that will be the final one before we head to the USJ and what is in sore there.
