Author's Note: Greetings everyone. First off, I once again apologize for taking so long to write this. Part of the reason for this was writers block, but another was I wasn't certain how I was going to handle this next episode from the show. As you can see below, I finally decided how a few months ago. It just took me a bit to actually write it. Anyway, enjoy the chapter and see you down below.

Chapter 4: Would You Like to Skate?

Time seemed to fly by, as well as stand still, after the problems with the Ghost Lunch Lady were finished. Or that's what it seemed like to Danielle. There were times she felt things dragged on forever. Things like school or chores. But there were times that seemed to go by too fast. Like hanging out with friends or playing the new game she got for her computer recently. But whether the time dragged on or flew by, Danielle loved every minute of it. Sure, she still wanted to know what happened prior to the current events, especially with what happened to the Reality Gauntlet and such. But she wouldn't change her life now for the world. She had loving parents, caring siblings, and nice, caring friends.

She could have done without the ghost attacks though but having ghost powers was cool. Can't have everything your way through, can you?

Currently, it was a Wednesday evening and Danielle was sitting at her computer playing her copy of The Elder Scrolls Morrowind. Mostly it was to just pass the time until her meet-up with Zack tonight. She had promised him that she would go with him to the Amity Skatepark tonight and she always kept her promises. Of course, she had to tell her brother, Sam, and Tucker that she wouldn't be able to join them in their ghost hunting exercise tonight at the wharfs, but they understood. It helped that the trio seemed to take a liking to Zack. Something that Danielle was glad for.

She honestly was surprised how well the first meeting between Zack and the trio went. It had been a few days after the Ghost Lunch Lady had been dealt with when Danielle introduced Zack to the others at lunch. At first, at least to Danielle's eyes, it looked like Danny didn't seem to like the boy that much. To her, it seemed her brother thought that Zack was dangerous or something. But after the two got to talking, they discovered they had more in common then they initially thought. For one, Zack was a BIG space fan. Both fiction and non-fiction. The only thing about space Zack didn't like was he didn't really want to go to it. Something both her and Danny understood. Being an astronaut like Danny wanted to be wasn't for everyone. Zack was also one of the biggest fans of the MMO, Doomed, much like Danny was. The two hit it off in sharing tips and tricks about the game. Even Tucker joined in that conservation. Danielle would have as well, but Danny and Tucker thought she didn't play. Or rather that she sucked at the game. Boy would they be surprised later.

Zack also had the same music tastes as Danny, and Danielle. Honestly, it seemed he just liked all types of music which his future goal helped prove. Zack wanted to be a musician when he grew up as they learned. All in all, the first meeting went well, and Dani was happy to officially accept Zack as a good friend in her friend group.

Back to the present, Danielle had a look of concentration on her face. "Come on... Come on," muttered Dani, as her fingers moved over her keyboard and mouse, "You can do it... Nerevarine. Let's beat this fool. They are only a god. They are nothing special."

After a few minutes, a sigh would escape Dani's lips. "Dang it," muttered Dani, "I lost to Dagoth Ur again! How am I supposed to beat him... It almost feels like he cheats... Hmmm..." Glancing at her computer's clock, Danielle added, "Oh shit. It's already 5:30! I'm going to be late meeting up with Zack!"

Pushing her chair back, Danielle would leap from her seat. Walking over to her bed, Danielle grabbed the pair of red sweatpants that lay there and pulled them on quickly. She then grabbed her wallet and house key from her desk, as well as her blue jacket from her computer chair. "Alright," said Dani, as she pulled on her jacket and zipped it up, "That should be everything. Let's get out of here."

Dashing out of her room, Danielle ran down the hall and when she arrived at the stairs, she skipped every other step. Opening and stepping through the front door, Danielle would turn and lock up the house since no one else was going to be home for now. As she heard the click of the lock, Danielle turned and ran down the few steps that led to the door. She then began to immediately book it down the sidewalk in the direction of the skatepark.
"Oh, I can't believe this. I lost track of time," said Dani, "Ohhhh.. I hope Zack isn't disappointed. He seemed to really want to show me his skating skills tonight. I could... No… Actually... I would get there faster… " Seeing an alley up ahead, Dani turned down it and after seeing it was clear, changed to her ghost form. "I have a need for speed," said Danielle, with a smirk as she sped off into the air toward the skatepark.

With the use of her ghost powers, Danielle made good time and soon saw Amity Skatepark approaching. It wasn't a big location by any means, but it was something at least for skaters to use. There was a pool, half-pipe, full-pipe and some rails that skaters and skateboarders could shred as much as they wanted. Glancing down below, Dani would see a few people skating, but Zack wasn't one of them.

"Is he waiting for me somewhere," thought Danielle, as she looked around before finally noticing the silver-haired boy by the park entrance, "He's at the entrance, huh? Hmmm... Where to land then?" Danielle would glance around at the area around the skate park and would notice a perfectly parked car on the street that would hide her from view while only being a few feet from the entrance to the park. "Bingo," whispered Dani, as she flew towards the car while invisible.

As her feet landed softly on the sidewalk, Danielle summoned the familiar white rings that changed her appearance back to normal. Taking a breath, Dani stepped out from behind the car and began to cross the street towards the silver-haired boy. "Hey sorry I'm late," shouted Dani, as she finally took in Zack's appearance. The boy had on a black skating helmet that was currently not snapped at the chin. He still had on his leather jacket, but underneath he just wore a simple white undershirt. For pants, he had on simple blue jeans with holes in the knees. He also had on knee and elbow pads and had a skateboard tucked underneath his arm.

Seeing Danielle approach, a small smile would grace Zack's lips as Dani stopped in front of the boy. "Late," asked Zack, as he took out his phone and glanced at the time, "It's only... 5:35. You're only five minutes late, Dani. Not that big of a deal. Or that late to be honest."

"Phew," said Dani, as she wiped the imaginary sweat from her brow, "What a relief. I got so preoccupied with trying to take down this stupid boss in my game."

"What game," asked Zack, with genuine interest, "Are you finally taking an interest in DOOM?"
"Always had an interest in that," said Dani, with a smile, "But no. The Elder Scrolls Morrowind. Dagoth Ur is a cheap ass boss if you ask me."

"Ah," said Zack, with a laugh as he began to make his way into the park, "Understandable. He is a tough boss. Maybe seeing my sweet tricks will inspire you to find a strategy to beat the guy."
"Maybe," said Dani, as she followed after the boy, "Huh… So, this is the skatepark. I've never been here before. Looks… Smaller than I expected."

"Yeah, compared to the last place I lived it is fairly small," said Zack, as he rubbed the back of his head, "But you can still do some nice stunts though."

"Well, I look forward to whatever you are going to show me," Dani replied, with a thumbs up.

With that Zack and Danielle would arrive by the pool and after telling Dani where to stand. Zack would go over to the side of the pool. Snapping his helmet strap together, Zack would place his skateboard down and move it with his foot so that it was hanging over the pool. Taking a breath, Zack would jump onto his skateboard and dive into the pool. Zack would start simple as he just maneuvered around the pool's side before moving the board up towards the rim and grinding it. After a while he would duck back into the pool before heading towards the opposite side and doing a 180 before landing back in the pool. He would do this a few more times before changing to doing a 360 flip.

The whole time Danielle would watch her friend with awe. She never knew that people could do such amazing things with a wooden board on wheels. "Wow," muttered Dani, "Amazing. It's… Almost like Zack is flying."

After a few minutes Zack would exit the pool and kick his skateboard up to him before walking back over to Dani. "So, what did you think," said Zack, cheerfully and not even out of breath.

"That was amazing, Zack," said Dani, "I didn't know a human could get air like that on just a wooden board."
"Oh, this is nothing," said Zack, with a chuckle and smile, "You can get a lot of air on the full pipe."
"Really," said Dani, wide-eyed as she looked over at the full pipe, "I... I can't even imagine going higher. Sounds amazing… And fun."

"Oh, it is," said Zack, before his expression turned a little serious and he held out his skateboard to Danielle, "Which is why I have to ask… Would you like to try, Dani? I meant when I said you look like you were born to be a skater. I think you would be kick-ass at it."

"Umm... I…," said Dani, not expecting such a compliment, "I'm... I'm not sure it's really for me though."

"You never know till you try," said Zack, with a gentle smile as he continued to hold out his board to Danielle.

Author's Note: Well, how did you all like the chapter. Internally this is the beginning of the first skulker episode if you are at all wondering. I decided to separate the twins this time at the beginning for one because I thought it flowed better than what I initially tried to do. It also allowed me to explore Zack as a character a bit. And his interactions with Dani. Anyway, I'll see you next chapter which should hopefully be out sooner than this one took.
