9. Chapter 8

Okay, so I left the story a little weird but I think it was a good idea. This will probably be the last chapter. (Depends on how I write it)

Nova Prime and the Fallen

Chapter 8

As Sam and Nova ran, Mikaela fell behind a little and they all stopped at a hill. They looked out over an ancient town and saw 2 flares go up over the sand. "There's Lennox." Nova said and tried her comm. "Red leader, come in Red leader" she said as she ran towards the village. "I can't get him. There must be some kind of static interference. I can't reach any of the bots either." She said as she helped Mikaela keep up. "We'll get there. Just keep running" Sam said and she smiled. "Where was this enthusiasm during football season?" she asked jokingly and he shook his head at her. "What I couldn't help but ask" Nova said while they ran down the hill and through some old Egyptian pillars. Nova looked up and saw Megatron and Star-scream standing on a pyramid not too far away. "That can't be good." She said and saw multiple pods hit ground near the soldiers. "That really isn't good. We need to get there very soon Sam" she yelled as she dragged the two behind her. "Nova, let us run" Sam yelled and she let him go. "Whatever; do what you want. I'm going to bring my dad back" Nova said and she sprinted off. They ran through more pillars with hieroglyphics on them and saw pods fly over their heads. They eventually ducked into a small shack with glass bottles lining one wall and broken furniture everywhere. "Alright, we need to keep quiet ok? Once it's clear, we run as fast as we can to Optimus." Sam asked as Mikaela tried to catch her breath, "What if it doesn't work?" she asked. "It's gonna work" "But what if it doesn't?" "It's gonna work, it'll work" Sam said while debating with Mikaela. Nova motioned for them to be quiet and they did when they heard growling come from the other side of the glass bottle wall. She saw Sam stick a sword type-thing through a hole in the wall, and take it back out. He looked through the hole and saw Decepticons walking around 10 feet in front of them while blowing stuff up. "Why is it that cons like to blow stuff up?" she asked curiously and Sam looked confused.

He looked around and Nova kept staring at the hole with curiosity. "Does anyone else hear buzzing?" she asked and Sam shook his head while Mikaela looked at her like she was crazy. Sam Looked inside the hole, and saw a mosquito sized bot crawling through. He held the bug up and Nova stopped him from squishing it. "I thought you hated cons?" Sam asked. "Yeah I do, but I hate senseless killing even more. I can reprogram this little guy to be just like silver." Nova said and she held the small little bot in her cupped hands. Wires came from her hands and started reprogramming the little guy. She let him go and he perched on her shoulder. "I should call you Mo. Short for mosquito" she said and he nuzzled up to her with his new size.

It got quiet and then the roof got ripped off the building by Star scream. Mikaela screamed, and cowered in the comer with Sam. Star scream started grabbing for the trio while knocking down a wall that made an escape route. "Ha! Missed me Screamer" Nova yelled and they raced through old buildings and jumped roofs while Star scream shot at them and another con, with Bee's colors, hit the building next to them with a ball and chain. "These guys do not know how to aim" Nova said with a shake of her head once they ran into an abandoned building where Sam scared off chickens that were in his way.

He looked out the broken wall and saw the bots with the soldiers. "We got about half a mile to go. If we sprint it, we might be able to make it." Nova said. "I bet the soldiers don't even know were here" Sam said and Nova looked over at Mikaela. "You alright Mickey?" she asked and Mikaela nodded. "Yeah, just trying to catch my breath" she said and Nova smiled. "There's no time for that. Every second we take to rest, that's more time the cons have to find us and get the matrix, or what's left of it." Nova said holding up the container.

"You're right, let's go" she said and they started running again.

With the soldiers and Bots

Sideswipe was rolling side to side while shooting until he shouted "fall back, Iron-hide up the middle!" "Iron-hide move it, let's go!" Lennox shouted running his way. "Go, go!" Lennox shouted again and Hide rolled out with humans in the bed of his truck and the Arcee triplets around him.

Leo and Simmons

A voice that sounded like Megatron shouted "Devastator" and the two men hid behind a "department of antiquities" van. "Were trapped, there's nowhere to go, were gonna die!" Leo said freaking out. Simmons grabbed his shirt and got him under control. "If were gonna go out, were going out like men, understand!" he shouted and Leo nodded. Devastator started sucking things up like a vacuum and pulled paneling off of a trailer, and ate the antiquities van. Things started flying towards the machine and the twins were just staring at it. "Look at this Mother…" Mud-flap didn't finish that sentence because he got hit with a piece of debris. "Mean robots suck" Skids said they all ran to hang onto something. Leo and Simmons couldn't hang on very long and the twins were fighting each other for a bar to hang on to. "Don't let me go!" Mud-flap said and he got sucked back while letting go of his brother. As he tumbled his way to the death machine, Skids looked on in horror. Mud flap hung onto the edge of his mouth while shouting, "Kung Fu grip boy, Kung Fu grip! You ain't eatin me!" he yelled and fell in.

"He dead, he got so ate" Skids said while Leo and Simmons still hung on. "Woo, who's your daddy now huh?" Leo yelled over confident. "He got all ate up" skids said. "The only safe place is right under it, run at it! Run for its feet! Go! Go!" he yelled and they all ran toward the monster. Devastator started growling and Mud-flap broke through his face. "You never should have eaten me! I'll bust your face up." Mud-flap said as he fired off rockets. "Nobody mess with me, in your face" he yelled while shooting him in his face after Devastator threw him off. "Keep fighting mud-flap!" Skids said climbing up to join his brother on the fun, and they swung around while shooting the con and Mud-flap landed on a wire with Skids. Mud-flap was about to fall off so Skids grabbed onto his arm which was transformed into a cannon at the time and shot him. "I go ya….oh, my bad" Mud-flap said and Skids fell to the ground. "Man you shot me in the face" Skids yelled. "Stay under it!" Simmons yelled and Mud-flap just repeated him. (Not an easy part to write)

Sam and Mikaela

Sam slid across the top of an abandoned taxi and the two girls ran around it like sensible people. Sam led the party as they ran through a doorway and across a courtyard. Nova looked up when she heard the distinct sound of Cybertronian language being sent across a comm-link and got this bad feeling in the pit of her tank. She could hear the distinct cry of her dad's voice and she froze.

"How dare they kidnap my parents!" she growled and Sam ran off to Judy and Ron. Nova was just about to hug her mom when she heard growling, "Oh no," she said and saw a con spring up over them with a drill attached to the bottom. The con pointed it's guns at their parents and Ron kept arguing with Sam. "They don't want you, they want me." Sam said and he tried bartering with the con after he said his name correctly. "How is it that an alien from another planet can pronounce our last name correctly and the government can't?" Nova asked and no one heard her. She looked up and to her right to see her boyfriend, bumble-bee, come up behind a building. "I know that you need me, I know about the matrix." "Their gonna kill us all anyway" Ron yelled. "Here's what you want right here!" Sam said holding up the canister that Nova gave him. "Bumble bee!" he yelled and Bee jumped off of the building and kicked him.

Nova heard another engine and smiled when she realized it was hers. She closed her eyes and the holoform disappeared. Sam was a little surprised at first but then he realized that the flash of blue and red was the cause. Nova came onto the scene guns blazing and sword drawn. "Let's dance" she said and flipped her battle mask over her mouth and nose. She shot at the bot that Bee was fighting and noticed a little mountain lion coming up behind them with a machine gun attached to the top. "Get that Bee, I got this guy" she said and he grabbed the lion and ripped the spinal cord out of it. "Gross." She said and continued fighting. They delivered one hard punch to the underside of his chin and his head popped off. "Nice, good job Bee" she said and gave him a high-five.

They watched as Sam, Mikaela and her parents ran off to find cover from all the missiles. After shooting for a while she noticed the unique sound of Sam's high pitch girly voice. "Sam, Bee he needs help" she yelled over the gun fire and he nodded. As he ran off, she could feel vibrations in her chest and a voice in her head telling her to run with Sam on his level. "What in the world?" she asked faintly but ignored it until the vibrating got worse. "Alright, I'll go" she said and ducked behind a tall clay building to transform down. She stepped out of her Lambo mode and ran to Sam and her parents as they were climbing into Bee.

"You be careful Bee, that's precious cargo" she said and he trilled back. She ran across the battle field with Sam and Mikaela again as they saw helicopters fly over that had camo patterns. One was shot down by the pyramid and the other by Lennox's team. "Must have been Jordanians." She muttered as she ran past fallen beams of Egyptian history.

They hid inside an old building (again) and spotted Iron-hide. "Hide!" Nova yelled and she saw Arcee roll over to her. "Follow us to the Pillars Sam, we'll take you to Optimus" she said and Nova fired at the rocket headed straight for her. "I got your back Arcee." She said holding her large ion cannon on her left arm and her sword on her right. "Run Sam! Get to the pillars" Iron hide yelled as he fought off a tank of some kind.

With Simmons and his radio on a pyramid

The devastator has gotten to the base of the pyramid and has started climbing with the help of his grappling hooks, and Simmons stood at the bottom looking up. "If they turn that machine on, no more sun, not on my watch, not….on….my…..watch" he said as he climbed the massive bricks.

He got on his radio and looked through the frequencies to find the right one.

U.S.S Stennis

"U.S.S Stennis, identify"

Where the hell are you watching the Weather Channel or something? Sports center? I dream of Jeannie or something? We have 300 satellites up there, where are all our men?

"Identify yourself"

What is your name Sailor?

"Wilder, Captain of the U.S.S John C. Stennis aircraft carrier. Identify yourself"

Okay Captain Wilder, This is agent Seymour Simmons of Sector Seven. There is the mother lode of Non-biologicals getting ready to blow up our sun. Do you wanna have a throw down about my lack of clearance, or do wanna help save a gazillion lives?

"Alright Agent Simmons, I'm listening"

(Troops rolling in, tanks and soldiers unload)

Five clicks west of the gulf, we got ourselves an alien remodeling a pyramid. Our only hope is a prototype weapon called "The Rail gun" shoots a projectile at Mach 7.

"That's classified"

DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT CLASSIFIED ALRIGHT? Now if you got a battleship in the Gulf, which I know you do, you tell them to ready that weapon!

"Contact Destroyer U.S.S KIDD."

With Lennox and his team

Someone was sitting on a roof of some kind and shouted "Alpha team, flank left" then Lennox signaled the support troops by yelling "This way, move it!"

One soldier came up to Lennox and kneeled beside him. "Where do you need us sir?" he asked and Lennox looked up. "Protect those in the line of fire." He shouted back and the soldiers moved out. Lennox grabbed a radio from a soldier and threw it to Epps while he was dodging bullets.

"Right now we need air support ASAP." Epps said. (Air Force plane appears on screen)

"Have troops in contact 20 miles northwest. Radar contact" "Proceed to 88 alpha sierra" (jet fly over and fire missiles.) "B-1, snap 090. You are approved to drop your 2,000 pound JDAMS."

Lennox and soldiers

Lennox and another soldier ran behind a tank, and slid to keep from getting shot. "Whatya got?" Lennox asked. "I couldn't get to them sir, they're 600 meters away and they're heading right for the pillars." The soldier said and Lennox shot up. "Alright, precious cargo's coming!" he yelled as more soldiers came to his side.

Sam, Nova and Mikaela

They ran as fast as they could to get through the pillars without getting blown up or stepped on with Nova's help of course. She was in front of the group shooting at cons that got in her way while still in holoform mode. Nova let the other two run ahead while she faced Megatron that was right behind them. "Bring it bucket head!" she shouted and he growled. "You pose no threat to me femme" he said with a sneer and she smiled. "Not yet" she said and started firing at him. "Nova what are you doing!" Sam yelled. "Go! Get the dust to Optimus. It's the only way to save him. GO!" she yelled and he started running with Mikaela. "Such a brave femme, Too bad you will never see your precious sire again" Megatron said and pointed his large blaster at her. She all of a sudden started glowing and her right hand formed into a very large cannon. "Kiss this" she said and blew a hole where his right optic was. He roared and she took that opportunity to escape.

She caught up with Sam and Mikaela only to see the bots duking it out for their lives. "My bots" she whispered and then she heard Iron-hide's voice. "Sam! Spotted Sam!" he said before getting shot.

The soldiers were helping fend off some of the cons while the trio made their way over to them. "Lennox!" Nova yelled and everyone spotted her. "2-2, three civilians cover fire 12 o'clock" one soldier shouted over her radio and she smiled when it finally worked.

She noticed Epps and Lennox rushing toward them while Sam yelled at the top of his lungs. "Hold the Air strike! We're rescuing civilians" she heard Epps say on the radio.

She slid with Sam into the hide out and rested against the wall for a bit. "Look who showed up, you better have a good reason for us being here" Lennox said and she smiled. "You know I do" she said and he nodded back at her. He pulled something out of his holster and handed it to her. "Take that, I grabbed it from Galloway before he could find out you made it" Lennox said and she checked the rounds. "Locked, loaded and ready to go" she said and he nodded. "Where's Optimus?" Sam asked. "He's right over there, across the courtyard." Lennox said. "I gotta get to him right now" Sam said holding a sock he found that was filled with the powder from the canister. "Not with an airstrike coming" Lennox said. "I have to get to him right now!" Sam said.

Lennox and Epps looked up and Nova looked up to see Jet fire coming in for a landing. "That's not gonna be pretty" she said and watched him roll before getting up and decapitating the con behind them. A scorpion con came digging through the sand and managed to grab onto Jet-fire's midsection while ripping out some cable. Jet-fire took the con out of his mid-section and took his head off while falling on the ground. "I'm too old for this crap" he muttered.

Simmons…and the devastator

As he climbed the pyramid, the con was tearing large pieces off and letting them fall down the side of the structure. He got on his radio again and said "I am right under the enemy's scrotum, 25.7 meters above sea level, 29.32 north."

As soon as he stopped talking, the con was hit with a beam of light at Mach 7 and fell off the pyramid in pieces.

Jet in air (don't ask)

"B-1's time on target, 30 seconds. 2,000 pound JDAMs inbound"

Battle

Lennox looked at the teens/young adults. "We're gonna make a break through the B's on my command, okay?" he asked and everyone nodded. "You guys stick with me, you understand? You stay on my six." Lennox said and Nova nodded.

-1-1 orange smoke.

"I hope these f-16's got good aim" Epps said. "Yeah, why's that?" Lennox asked. "I told them to hit the orange smoke" Epps said and everyone looked at the smoke next to them. "You mean that orange smoke?" Lennox asked and Nova snickered. "It wasn't my best toss okay?" Epps said and Nova smiled.

Viper, thunder

"Run!" they yelled and they all sprinted through the courtyard while the battle behind them got blown up. Cons were being bombed and blown to bits while everyone ran for their lives.

As they were running for the soldiers, Sam was running to get to Optimus. "Sam, you idiot!" Nova yelled and ran after him. The air strike made enough cover where Megatron could sneak up on them and blast them. Nova and Sam were thrown forward and they both were killed on impact. Megatron retreated after getting shot at a lot and Mikaela ran to Sam's side. Lennox had to drag Mikaela back in order to start doing CPR on Sam while Epps did the same with Nova.

Ron and Judy ran to their son with Bee and they were stopped from going any further when soldiers tackled the two of them. Bee transformed down and ran to Nova's side like the good boyfriend he was. "Nova! Come on Nova wake up!" Bee said while holding her face gently in his hands. "Come on Bee, ya gotta move" Ratchet yelled in his holoform and Bee struggled against Side-swipe's holoform. "No, she's not gone!" he yelled and Ratchet took out the defibrillator and started to see if restarting her spark would work.

He tried it a few times and stopped when it wasn't working. Bee rushed to her side the same time Mikaela did to Sam's and stroked her cheek. "Come on Nova Star. Don't leave me here by myself. I can't take care of silver bolt like you can. The base would be so empty without you; I would be empty without you. Please come back, I love you too much to let you go" Bee said and kissed her forehead.

Dimension of the primes

Sam and Nova looked around the area they were in and looked at each other.

Nova was wearing her normal jeans, black shirt, silver dog tags, and black boots while Sam wore the same thing he wore when he got blown up. "Where are we? Are we dead?" Nova asked. "We have been watching you for a long, long time. You both have fought for Optimus, our second to last descendant. With courage and with sacrifice, the virtues of a leader, a leader worthy of our secret; the matrix of leadership is not found, it is earned. Return now to Optimus; merge the matrix with his Spark. It is, and always has been, your destiny" the main prime said and Sam disappeared. "Why am I still here?" Nova asked. "Because Nova Prime, you have a much greater destiny." Another prime said walking up. "What is that?" she asked. "You are the last descendant of the primes and you carry the remnants of the Alspark with in you. Your destiny is to restore the race of the Cybertronians and their good name to the place where it belongs." The first prime answered. "So, I have to save Cybertron? That's cool" she said with a smile and a cloud appeared in front of her. "First there is something you need to see" a female voice said and she saw Bee's holoform above her head.

"Come on Nova Star. Don't leave me here by myself. I can't take care of silver bolt like you can. The base would be so empty without you; I would be empty without you. Please come back, I love you too much to let you go"

"He loves me?" she asked and the prime nodded. "Go to him. He will be the key to helping you fulfill your destiny" the first one said and she rushed back into her body.

In the desert

Sam had already gone back and was getting fused over by Mikaela when Nova's head popped up and sucked in dry air and sand. Bee jumped and immediately helped her sit up just as Sam was making his way to Optimus with the newly formed Matrix. "Bee" she said and when he looked at her confused, she kissed him, hard. "I love you too, and I am never going to leave you again" she said with a smile after she finished kissing him. Optimus had just woken up, and she smiled from ear to ear.

"Boy, you've returned for me" Optimus said while Sam hobbled his way to stand straight. Optimus looked over at his daughter who was in tears because he was alive and heard Jet-fire say. "A living Prime, I don't believe it." And Nova smiled. Everyone was thrown back when the fallen appeared and he stole the matrix from Optimus. "My Matrix" he said and disappeared after stepping on Optimus. "Come on, get up!" Nova yelled as she made her way to him. "Nova, you're alive" he said. "Yeah, I am. We all won't be if he turns that thing on and destroys the sun though" Nova said and he nodded in understanding. He stood up with some difficulty.

"Enemy target, top of pyramid. Engage, engage, engage!" Epps squawked into his radio as the tanks all fired off their payloads but it did nothing but make the fallen mad. He lifted the tanks and men like he had the force and dropped them on the face of the pyramid. Nova was horrified and then she heard muttering behind her.

"All my Decepticon life, I never did anything worth doing until now. Optimus; take my parts, and you will have a power you've never known. Fulfill your destiny." Jet-fire says before ripping out his spark and falling on the ground. "Goodbye grandpa bot. you did a great thing today." Nova said closing her eyes and Bee hugged her as she cried silently.

"Jolt! Electrify! Transplant those after burners!" ratchet yelled and not only did Optimus get an upgrade, but so did Nova. Her holoform disappeared and her bot form appeared next to Optimus.

Copies of the afterburners and jet wings attached to her back and gave her the ability to fly. "This is awesome" she said and searched the Internet for the Black-bird that Jet fire had as his vehicle mode. She found out she could change into 2 forms and smiled as the black and red flamed paintjob formed over her.

She looked over at her dad, who looked awesome, and smiled as he flew away to the famous words of "Let's roll".

She looked at Ratchet and the bots as they looked at her in shock. "What? Is there something on me?" she asked checking her armor and smiled when she saw the black-bird wings. She looked back up to see Optimus blow the sun harvester up and smiled because he did it in style. Unfortunately he does not know how to fall in style.

"Well don't just stand there smart one, go help him!" Ratchet ordered and she flew off in a streak of black and red.

With Optimus, Megatron and the fallen…..in the tombs…..with giant cannons (Anyone else feel like this is turning into Clue?)

When Optimus took Megatron down (obviously not very well) Nova went to take him on and settle the score. "Looks like it's just you and me Bucket-head, Last time we squared off was when you were leveling Mission city. This time, I'm not some new bot with any idea how to fight. I've been trained by Iron-hide" she said getting her swords out and standing ready. "I don't have the patience to fight a femme. You're not built for fighting, just for carrying sparklings." Megatron said spitting at her and she growled. "You don't scare me Femme. Come back when you really know how to fight" Megatron said and he took off. "Puh-lease, I could have taken you, you're just too chicken to face me" she said and went to where Optimus was finishing off the Fallen. "That didn't take long" she said and he looked at her new frame. "Why is it that you have new frames every time I look at you?" Optimus asked holding her forearms in his hands. "Because I'm the daughter of a Prime. I have to look good" she said and he smiled. "You never cease to amaze me." He said and she hugged him, after burners and all. He hugged her back and relished the quiet moment with his only child and connection to Elita.

They released each other and she noticed that soldiers were gathering at the base of the Sphinx. "Ya know, as a kid I've always wanted to go to Egypt and see the pyramids. Now, all I want is to go home and clean the sand out of my gears and get a power-wash" Nova said rotating her shoulders and groaning. "Do not worry Nova. I believe that this is the start of a great future for our race" he said and she smiled up at him. He walked to the sphinx and shrugged off the transplanted parts to go back to his original frame size.

On the ground

Nova had reverted back to her human form and ran to her mother's arms. Judy caught her daughter just barely an adult and hugged her tight. "You're okay, my babies are okay" she said crying and Nova buried her head into her shoulder. "I'm okay mom. I'm alive" she said and Judy let her go long enough to look at her bruised and scared face. "Oh, you're beautiful face. It's ruined." She said stroking the scars as she flinched. "Ouch, ma, it's fine. It's the consequence of war unfortunately. And they still hurt!" she said as she shied away from the mothering. Ron walked up to her and hugged her gently as to not aggravate any other injuries. Once he was done, she ran to Sam and hugged him as hard as she could, then she slapped him in the shoulder. "How dare you run into a battle field like that even after being warned of an airstrike! You're even dumber than I thought you were." Nova said with her arms crossed. "I was going to save your dad, you should be grateful!" Sam yelled. "Ya, well, ya got us blown up in the process so how smart was that?" she asked and they smiled. "I was worried about you Sam. I am so glad you're okay" she said and hugged him again. Nova let go of her brother and felt like she was with family again.

Aircraft carrier

Nova sat in the cockpit of her current form and smiled, "it's too bad Dad won't let me fly home. I wanna test this baby out" she said and heard a voice. "That's exactly the reason why" and she saw Bee climb up into her cab. "I thought this was s one person cab?" she asked looking around. "It was, until you made it bigger. You got a bigger version of the black bird than what Jet-fire had." He said and she smiled, "I guess. So what's up?" she asked. "Boss bot wants to see you" he said and she nodded. "Alright, I'll be right there" she said and climbed out of her seat until bee stopped her. "The real you" and his holoform disappeared after kissing her quickly. She transformed while scaring a few sailors in the process. "Sorry about that guys" she said sheepishly and people just walked off.

She stood up straight and walked to Optimus' side on the edge of the ship. "You wanted to see me?" she asked and he nodded. "I wanted you to stretch your limbs before you are confined to small buildings when we get back." He said and she nodded in agreement. "I know." She said and looked down at Sam. "Thank you Sam, for saving my life." Optimus said and Sam looked up. "Welcome. Thank you for believing in me, both of you" Sam said and looked up at his sister with a smile.

MONOLOGUE SEQUENCE WITH "NEW DIVIDE" BY LINKIN PARK. (Just imagine this song playing while you read this)

Our races united by a history long forgotten, and a future we shall face together. I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message so that our pasts will always be remembered, for in those memories, we live on
