Konikoni City
Lincoln's group continues making their way through Diglett's Tunnel; they soon see the exit in front of them.
"There's the way out." said Lincoln. A light growling was heard, getting everyone's attention.
"What was that?" asked Shelby. Everyone looks to see that the noise was coming from Lynn's belly.
"My bad." said Lynn.
"I guess it is getting close to lunch." said Mallow.
"And I think Kiawe mentioned that there's a city on the other side of the tunnel." said Shane.
"Yes; Konikoni City." Kiawe said. "There's a lot of stores there, and I'm certain we can find a restaurant."
"And Pokemon Centers have cafeterias also." said Lillie.
"Let's hurry up then." said Mallow as she grabs Lincoln's hand, making him blush, and pulls him toward the tunnel exit with everyone else following after them; as they get close, Shelby sees something next to a wheelbarrow.
"What's that?" Shelby asked as she goes over to what she saw.
"What is it, sis?" asked Shane. Shelby reaches down to grab the object to see that it was a Nugget.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln.
"We're good at finding valuable stuff." said Lynn.
"And it's a good thing you found it, Shelby." said Shane.
"Yeah, Chandler was gonna have to come through here eventually, and he would've grabbed it himself." said Lynn.
"Forget about him." said Lincoln.
"Yeah, we plan on eating soon." said Shiloh.
The group exits the tunnel and take a look around at their surroundings.
"This is Route 9." said Kiawe. "Down the road is Konikoni City, and to the east of here is Memorial Hill which is on the way to the Ruins of Life."
"We'll head over to the ruins tomorrow." said Lincoln. "I want to get my Pokemon treated, get us something to eat, and maybe see what Konikoni City has to offer."
"Okay." said Kiawe. The group heads down the road; they soon reach the entrance to Konikoni City.
"Here we are." said Lillie.
"Let's get over to the Pokemon Center." said Lincoln. The group does so and drop off their Pokemon to be treated; after that, and Shelby sells the Nugget she found in Diglett's Tunnel, they all go over to a local restaurant for some lunch. Moments later, the group were sitting at a table, patting their bellies.
"Man, that was good." said Lynn before she lets out a fart; everyone else fanning the front of their noses with their hands. "My compliments to the chef."
"Boy; that almost stank as much as Chandler's attitude." said Lincoln. After he leaves a tip for the waitress, the group exits the restaurant.
"So what should we do now?" asked Lillie. Just then, Lincoln gets a whiff of a sweet-smelling fragrance coming from a nearby store.
"What is that?" asked Lincoln out of curiosity.
"That smells nice." said Shelby.
"Not like Lynn's fart." said Kiawe.
"Maybe it's a perfume store?" suggested Shane.
"Lori and Leni would probably like some." said Lincoln. He and the others head over to the store to take a look at what they had.
"Alola, everyone." said a girl who was at the counter.
"Alola." Lincoln's group replied.
"Are you selling perfume here?" asked Shelby.
"No." replied the storekeeper. "I'm sellling Incences."
"Incences?" Lillie replied.
"They're a mixture of fragrances that have effects on Pokemon that are holding them." said the girl as she shows everyone a large variety of small jars with holes in them with different kinds of scents coming from them.
"What kind of effects?" asked Lincoln.
"Well, for example, this brown one is called a Rock Incense." said the girl. "It boosts the power of rock type attacks its holder has."
"You mean like a Hard Stone does?" asked Lincoln.
"That's right." said the girl.
"Can I get one for my Lycanroc?" asked Shiloh.
"Sure." said Lincoln. The girl then explains to the group what the other kinds of incenses do; Shane gets an Odd Incense, which increases the power of psychic type moves, for his Oranguru.
Lincoln gets a Wave Incense, which increases the power of water type attacks, for his Gyarados, and a Rose Incense, which increases the power of grass type moves, for his Trevenant.
Shelby gets a Rock Incense for her Sudowoodo, a Wave Incense for her Seel, and an Odd Incense for her Espeon.
Shiloh gets a Rock Incense for his Lycanroc, a Wave Incense for his Tirtouga, and a Rose Incense for his Leafeon.
Lynn buys a Wave Incense for her Kabuto.
After the group makes their purchases, they go to the Pokemon Center to pick up their Pokemon.
Meanwhile, back at Brooklet Hill, a trembling Chandler was riding on Lapras to the shore of the first pond where Alola Lana was waiting; when Chandler reaches the shore, he jumps off the Lapras and onto the shore and begins kissing the ground.
"Well, you passed the trial." said Alola Lana. "Would've been done quicker if you didn't keep yelling for Lapras to slow down."
"It was moving too fast!" exclaimed Chandler.
"It wasn't even going one mile an hour; and some times you yelled at it to slow down, it wasn't even moving." said Alola Lana. She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a Waterium-Z Crystal. "Since you passed the trial, I must reward you with the Waterium-Z."
"Sweet." said Chandler as he takes the Z-Crystal from Alola Lana.
"What are you going to do now?" asked Alola Lana with disinterest in her voice.
"I'm gonna go catch up with Larry and rub this in his face." said Chandler.
"He already has one of his own." said Alola Lana.
"Whatever." said Chandler. "So where did they go again?"
"They're probably in Konikoni City by now." said Alola Lana.
"I don't know where that is, so you'll have to take me there." said Chandler.
"Fine." said Alola Lana. 'Maybe I can lose him along the way, or in Diglett's Tunnel.' With a groan, she starts to walk with Chandler towards their destination.
Back with Lincoln's group, they got their Pokemon back, and gave the incenses to the ones they got them for.
"What are you going to do now, bro?" Lynn asked Lincoln.
"Let's take a look around the city some more." said Lincoln. The group continues to explore Konikoni City.
"Alola, everyone!" a familiar voice calls out, making the group look to see Olivia running over to them.
"Hey, Olivia!" said Lincoln. As Olivia got close, she trips over an uneven part of the road and falls on her face, making everyone sweatdrop before they go help her to her feet.
"Thanks, everyone." said Olivia.
"What brings you here?" asked Mallow.
"I live in this city." said Olivia.
"Really?" asked Shane.
"Yes; in fact, I have a jewelry shop here." said Olivia.
"Let's go check it out." said Lincoln. "Maybe there'll be something that Lori, Leni, and Lola would like."
"Yeah, they'd want you to do that." said Lynn. The group head over to Olivia's store and go inside. They look around at all the necklaces and stuff they had in there. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and calls his family.
"Hello, son." said Lynn Sr.
"How are you all doing?" asked Rita.
"We're at a jewelry store here in a place called Konikoni City." said Lincoln. Lynn Sr and Rita were shoved aside by Lori, Leni, and Lola who looked at Lincoln excitedly.
"Jewelry store?!" asked Lori, Leni, and Lola.
"Yeah." said Lincoln. "Kahuna Olivia has a jewelry store, and I want to know if there's anything in here you would like." He points at the merchandise until Lori, Leni, and Lola picked out a piece of jewelry for each of them.
"Thanks, Lincoln." said Lori.
"You're, totes, the best." said Leni.
"You better hurry up and buy those to send to us!" said Lola.
After Lincoln purchases the items, he notices evolution stones and fossils in a display case.
"Where did you get these?" asked Lincoln.
"I, sometimes, go over to the Poke Pelago to find things in the Isle Aphun." said Olivia.
"Well, I don't need anything here right now, but if I do, I'll come back." said Lincoln.
"Okay, then." said Olivia. "And I'll see you tomorrow for your Grand Trial, Lincoln."
"I can't wait for that!" said Lincoln. Olivia then heads off somewhere, but not before tripping over a bump in the road, making her fall onto her face again.
"She needs to be careful." said Shane.
"True." said Kiawe.
"What now?" asked Shiloh.
"I'm gonna check out the Akala Outskirts, mainly to see what kind of Pokemon are there, and train up my Pokemon for a bit." said Lincoln.
"We'll come with you." said Mallow.
"Maybe there'll be some Pokemon your sisters would like." said Lillie.
"Okay." said Lincoln.
Lincoln's next Grand Trial is coming up. Will he be ready to take on Kahuna Olivia? Wait and find out.
