Lillie Gets an Egg
After Lynn's battle with Kalani, she and her family and friends, along with Chandler, go to the Heahea Pokemon Center to get her Pokemon treated; while everyone waited, Lynn took the time to swap her Remoraid for her Kabuto.
"Kalani's tough." said Sophocles, making Lynn and Mallow frown at the mention of Kalani's name.
"Do you think you'll be ready for her in time for the Battle Royale Tournament, Lynn?" asked Alola Lana.
"I doubt it." said Chandler with a smirk, making Lynn punch him in the arm.
"I lost before, but I always got back on my feet and came back stronger than before." said Lynn with a look of determination on her face.
"That's the spirit, Lynn." said Lincoln.
"I'll bet you can't wait to get started on training your Riolu, cuz." said Shane.
"You bet!" said Lincoln.
"Hey, Lynn; you want to evolve your Machoke right now?" asked Kiawe.
"What do you mean?" asked Lynn with interest in her voice.
"Remember how Feebas evolved into Milotic by trade evolution?" asked Kiawe.
"Yeah." replied Lynn.
"Well, Machoke can evolve that way, as can Lincoln's Phantump." said Kiawe. "So, if you and Lincoln do a mock trade, you both can evolve your Pokemon."
"Awesome!" said Lincoln.
"Yeah; let's do it, Lincoln!" said Lynn. After Lynn got her Pokemon back, the group went to a room that had a trade machine in it; Lincoln put his Phantump's pokeball on it while Lynn puts her Machoke's pokeball on it. Lincoln pulls a lever on the machine and both Phantump's and Machoke's pokeballs vanish; Machoke's pokeball appeared near Lincoln while Phantump's pokeball appeared near Lynn.
"Now to trade them back." said Lincoln. Lynn nods and pulls the lever on the trade machine; both pokeballs vanish and they reappear near their original trainers. Lincoln takes Phantump's pokeball and Lynn takes Machoke's pokeball. "Now let's see what Phantump is now."
Lincoln tosses Phantump's pokeball and releases a Pokemon that resembled a white tree with arms with reddish orange leaves around her wrists and roots for legs; she had reddish orange leaves on top of her head and a single eye.
Lynn tosses Machoke's pokeball and releases him; he was now bigger, had light blue skin and cream-colored lips, the ridges on his head were bigger, and he now had FOUR ARMS!
"Whoa-ho-ho!" said Lynn as she looked at her newly-evolved Machoke with amazement while Chandler looks with shock. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at his newly evolved Phantump.
"Trevenant, the Elder Tree Pokemon and the evolved form of Phantump. It's feared as a ghost of the forest. Lumberjacks bring along Fire types, which Trevenant hates, when they enter the forest." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"And this says Trevenant learned Shadow Claw when she evolved." said Lincoln. He then points the Rotom Phone at Lynn's newly evolved Machoke.
"Machamp, the Superpower Pokemon and the final evolved form of Machop. It grasps its opponents with its four arms and twists them up in an intricate hold. People call it "the Machamp special."" said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"And this says Machamp learned Strength when he evolved." said Lincoln.
"Nice." said Lynn.
"Congratulations, you two." said Shane. Chandler looks at Trevenant and Machamp with jealousy.
Lincoln and Lynn then return their Pokemon to their pokeballs and head outside where Lincoln uses his Ride Pager to call for several Charizards to bring his friends and family back to Hau'oli City while Chandler rides on a ferry.
Later that night in the Louds' hotel room, Lincoln and Lynn were telling their family about what happened after the last interview they had with Katherine Mulligan.
"Too bad you lost to that Kalani girl, sis." said Luna.
"I'll beat her at the Battle Royale!" said Lynn with determination in her voice.
"We know you can do it, Lynn." said Rita.
"Thanks, Mom." said Lynn.
"What else happened with you all today?" asked Lynn Sr.
"My Machoke, and Lincoln's Phantump, both evolved." said Lynn. She and Lincoln let out their newly evolved Pokemon.
"Wow!" said Lana.
"Does that Pokemon, literally,have four arms?!" asked Lori.
"You bet, Lori." said Lynn with a smirk.
"I like Trevenant." said Lucy. They all chat for a while before they end the call and go to bed.
The next day at the Pokemon School, everyone was doing their studies; it was nearing the end of the day when Principal Oak comes into their classroom.
"Alola, Principal Oak." said Professor Kukui.
"Alola, everyone." Principal Oak replied, everyone notices he was carrying a large white egg with flower designs on them.
"Is that a Pokemon Egg?" asked Shelby.
"Like the one Lincoln had before it hatched into Riolu?" asked Shiloh.
"Oho, so you all know what this is." said Principal Oak as the Louds and their Alola friends gather around him to see the Pokemon Egg he was holding.
"What Pokemon do you think it will hatch into?" asked Lincoln.
"Maybe a cute one judging by the flowers on it." suggested Shelby. As Lillie gets closer to the egg, it suddenly twitches a bit.
"It moved!" said Alola Lana. Prinicipal Oak looks at the egg, then at Lillie.
"It seems to respond to your presence, Lillie." said Principal Oak.
"Did you come to show the egg to us?" asked Lincoln.
"Actually, I was wondering if one of you students can look after this for me while I'm off visiting a relative who lives in the Kanto Region." said Principal Oak.
"What's the Kanto Region?" asked Shiloh.
"Another region that also has Pokemon in it." said Principal Oak.
"Cool!" said Lincoln.
"Indeed." said Principal Oak.
"What kind of Pokemon live there?" asked Shelby.
"Some Pokemon there can be found here in Alola, but there's a large variety of them that don't." said Principal Oak.
"Nice." said Lynn. Lillie couldn't help but feel a strong of connection to the egg as she stared at it.
"You seem interested in the egg, Lillie." said Principal Oak. Lillie stretches out her hand towards the egg, making it twitch in response.
"Maybe Lillie can watch over the egg for you?" suggested Professor Kukui.
"Would you like to, Lillie?" asked Principal Oak.
"Sure, I wouldn't mind." replied Lillie; Principal Oak gives Lillie the egg.
"Lincoln; since you have experience raising a Pokemon Egg, perhaps you can help her." suggested Principal Oak.
"Sure, I'm always willing to help my friends." said Lincoln.
"We can go to my home after school." said Lillie.
"I'll come with also." said Mallow.
"The more, the merrier." said Principal Oak. As everyone made plans, they were unaware that a Salandit (a/n: Not Chandler's; don't forget, he exchanged it for Pinsir.) was looking at the Pokemon Egg.
Just then, the school bell rang, and everyone starts heading down the slide to the front of the school.
"What are you gonna do, Lynn?" Lincoln asked his sister.
"I'm gonna train up my Pokemon on Akala Island to get ready for the Pokemon Battle Royale Tournament." said Lynn.
"My siblings and I are gonna go along also." said Shane. Lincoln hands Lynn his Ride Pager and Rotom Phone.
"You can use those to call some Charizards to bring you to Akala Island, and to identify any new Pokemon you see, as well as any of the ones with you learned any new moves." said Lincoln.
"Thanks, bro." said Lynn. She uses the Ride Pager to call for a couple Charizards to bring Lynn and her cousins to Akala Island.
"We should be off." said Lillie. "My ride will arrive shortly."
"Okay." said Lincoln as he, Mallow, and Lillie start making their way to the school's front gate; as they near it, Lillie feels an arm wrap around her shoulders, making her look and cringe when she sees Chandler.
"What's up, babe?" asked Chandler.
"Alola, Chandler." said Lincoln.
"Oh, hey Larry; didn't notice you or your girlfriend there." said Chandler, making Lincoln and Mallow look away with small smiles and blushes. "So, what are you up to?"
"We're heading to Lillie's place to help her with the Pokemon Egg she's holding." said Lincoln.
"Well, if you two are going, then I am too." said Chandler as he glares at Lincoln.
"You're not gonna take 'no' for an answer; are you." said Lincoln.
"You got that right, Larry." said Chandler as he puts an arm around Lillie's shoulders again.
"Fine." said Lincoln. "And it's Lincoln!"
"Whatever." Chandler replied.
The four wait in front of the school for Lillie's ride home to arrive.
"I'm sitting next to Lillie." said Chandler as he looks at Lillie. "If there's not enough room in your car, then you can sit on my lap." Lillie cringes in response. As Lincoln looks down the road, he sees a limo coming up the road towards them.
"Wow, a limo!" said Lincoln, making Chandler look to see the approaching vehicle.
"That's my ride home." said Lillie, surprising Lincoln, Mallow, and Chandler.
"You have a limousine?" asked Lincoln.
"Yes." said Lillie. The limo stops in front of them, and an elderly gentleman with gray hair and mustache, wearing a monocle over his left eye, along with a long red jacket over a gray vest, dark gray tie, beige pants, and black dress shoes, steps out of the driver's side door.
"Greetings, Lady Lillie." said the gentleman.
"Alola, Hobbes." said Lillie. The gentleman, now known as Hobbes, looks at Lincoln, Mallow, and Chandler.
"Who are these children?" asked Hobbes.
"These are my friends, and that one is Chandler." said Lillie. "Lincoln is coming to help me with this Pokemon Egg that Principal Oak entrusted me with."
"I see." said Hobbes. He walks over to the passenger door and opens it for everyone. Lillie enters with Chandler quickly following after her, Lincoln and Mallow climb inside after them. Unbeknownst to everyone, the Salandit that was watching Lillie's egg climbed onto the roof of the limo and was along for the ride.
The limo heads down a long road, with Lincoln and Mallow sitting next to each other, while Chandler sits next to a creeped-out Lillie.
"So, what kind of things did you do when you took care of your egg, Lincoln?" asked Lillie.
"While I'm at school, I make a nest for it out of towels and pillows." said Lincoln. "And you know I kept it in my backpack with me to help stimulate it when we visit Akala; I also make sure the inside of my backpack is lined with soft towels, and I make sure it doesn't hit anything hard like rocks or trees."
As the limo continues down the road, it hits a bump, making Mallow bounce up and onto Lincoln's lap, making the two blush.
"S-Sorry, Lincoln." said Mallow.
"D-Don't worry about it." said Lincoln as he shyly looks away while Chandler looks with jealousy.
'Wish Lillie landed on my lap.' Chandler thought to himself.
"We have arrived, everyone." Hobbes says from up front. Everyone looks out the limo's windows, and everyone but Lillie was stunned to see they were heading up a driveway leading up to a large mansion.
"This is your place?!" asked Lincoln.
"Yes; this is my home." said Lillie.
'Lillie's hot, and RICH?!' Chandler asked himself. 'She's the perfect future Mrs. McCann!'
When the limo stops in front of Lillie's home, everyone steps out of it, with Lincoln, Mallow, and Chandler looking around at everything.
"What do your parents do for a living?" asked Lincoln as he gawks at the mansion.
"Remember that Aether Paradise corporation I told you about before?" asked Lillie.
"You mean that company that preserves and protects Pokemon?" asked Lincoln.
"Yes." said Lillie. "My mother is the president of it."
"Wow!" said Lincoln. As everyone walks towards the mansion's front doors, the Salandit crawls off the limo and starts lurking around the property.
Everyone enters the mansion and look around at the huge lobby they walk into.
"This place is so huge." said Lincoln.
"If any of you have Pokemon; there's a playground behind the mansion they can play around in." said Hobbes.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln. Hobbes leads them out to the back of the mansion where they see playground equipment set up. Everyone, even Chandler, let their Pokemon out to let them enjoy themselves. Riolu looks around at all the Pokemon. Knowing that Riolu wasn't formally introduced to his and everyone else's Pokemon, Lincoln does so, letting them all get to know each other.
While the Pokemon were playing and interacting, Lillie leads everyone up to her room where she, Lincoln, and Mallow make a nest for the Pokemon Egg; as soon as they were done, Lincoln, Mallow, and Chandler, looks around for a bit.
Lincoln notices a framed picture of what looked like Lillie when she was younger, holding a Lillipup; an older boy with blonde hair, wearing a dark gray vest over a white dress shirt and red tie, black trousers, and red shoes, holding a small pink Pokemon with brown, cone-shaped, ears; as well as a woman with long blonde hair with silver streaks that reaches down to the back of her knees, wearing a white dress with yellow frills, black and white leggings that reach down to her ankles, and black high-heeled shoes that had black gemstones set into them.
"Is this you and your family?" Lincoln asked Lillie who looks to see him looking at the picture.
"Yes." said Lillie.
"Who's the babe there?" asked Chandler as he points at the woman in the photo.
"That's my mother." said Lillie.
'Man, if Lillie grows up to look like her mom, then I really want her to be the future Mrs. McCann.' Chandler thinks to himself as he grins.
"Who's that boy?" asked Lincoln.
"My brother, Gladion." Lillie replied.
"Where is he?" asked Lincoln.
"He's... travelling." Lillie says. Sensing her apprehension, Lincoln decides not to pry any further. Just then, a maid comes into the room with a cart that had a plate piled high with macaroons, along with four teacups.
"Would you and your friends like some snacks, Ms. Lillie?" asked the maid.
"Thank you." said Lincoln. After everyone ate, Lincoln, Mallow, and Chandler head outside to check in on their Pokemon; Lincoln and Mallow smiled at them having fun while Chandler was more interested in the mansion; he soon sees a battle arena.
"What's that doing here?" asked Chandler, getting Lincoln and Mallow's attention.
"Young master Gladion is a very skilled battler." said Hobbes who was standing nearby. "He often came here to train his Pokemon."
"Cool." said Lincoln.
"I'll bet I can show him a thing or two." said Chandler in a cocky voice.
"Perhaps you would like to prove it." suggested Hobbes.
"What do you mean?" asked Chandler.
"The staff here are all skilled trainers who have battled young Gladion from time to time to help him in his training." said Hobbes. "I am considered to be the strongest trainer on staff here."
"Then let me see what you got." said Chandler. "Hey, Tentacool; get over here!" His Tentacool gets off the slide he was on and crawls over to the battlefield where Chandler and Hobbes were standing on opposite ends of it. Hobbes takes off his jacket and pulls a pokeball out of the pocket on his vest; he throws it, releasing an Oricorio.
"An Oricorio." said Lincoln.
"Get ready to lose, old man." said Chandler. 'I'll bet this guy has a lot of money I can win off him.'
"I fail to see how I could lose to a child with less experience than myself." said Hobbes. "Oricorio, use Teeter Dance!" Oricorio starts doing a wobbly dance around Tentacool, making him dizzy. "Now use Revelation Dance!" Oricorio rubs its pom-pom wing ends together, making electricity form in them, then releases it at Tentacool, hitting him, and dealing super effective damage.
"How did that Pokemon use another move right away?!" asked Chandler.
"That would be Oricorio's Dancer ability." said Hobbes. "If she uses a dance move, she can use another one right away afterwards."
"Tentacool, hurry and use Acid Spray!" said Chandler. Tentacool releases a stream of purple liquid at Oricorio.
"Oricorio, dodge and use Double Slap!" said Hobbes. Oricorio twirls out of the acid's path and towards Tentacool, slapping him repeatedly, doing damage.
"Oh, come on!" said Chandler. "Tentacool, use Bubble Beam!" His Tentacool tries to do so, but confusion kicks in and the attack backfires, hurting himself. Chandler grips his head in frustration.
"Time to end this." said Hobbes. "Oricor..."
"HELP!" Lillie's voice screams out.
"What's going on?!" asked Mallow.
"Let's go see!" said Lincoln. Everyone quickly runs into the mansion to see what was going on.
In Lillie's room, the Salandit that was following the egg was looking at it while licking its lips.
"Stay away from the egg!" said Lillie. The Salandit screams at her in response. Just then, Lincoln, Mallow, Hobbes, and Chandler burst into the room and see the poison/fire Pokemon who looked over at them.
"What's going on?!" asked Lincoln.
"That Salandit is after the egg!" said Lillie. Then without warning, the Salandit leaps towards the egg, making Lillie shield it with her body.
"Lycanroc!" Lincoln shouts. His wolf Pokemon leaps in through the window and in between Lillie and the Salandit. "Use Crush Claw!" Lycanroc swings its claw at the Salandit and knocks it down to the floor, along with lowering its defense. The Salandit gets up and releases bits of fire from its mouth that hits Lycanroc, not doing a lot of damage.
"Oricorio, use Pound!" said Hobbes. His Oricorio swings her wing at the Salandit, hitting it, and knocking it over to Lillie's balcony; seeing it was outmatched, the Salandit crawls out of the room down the wall, and scurries off the property.
"And don't come back!" shouts Mallow. Chandler runs over to Lillie and wraps his arms around her, making her uncomfortable a bit.
"Don't worry, babe; I'm here for you." said Chandler.
"Thank you for helping Lady Lillie, Lincoln." said Hobbes.
"I was glad to." said Lincoln.
"Is the egg okay?" asked Mallow.
"It's safe." said Lillie as she gets Chandler's arms off her and examines the Pokemon Egg.
"Today's been eventful." said Hobbes.
After everything settled down, Hobbes drives Lincoln, Mallow, and Chandler back to Hau'oli City where he drops them off at their lodgings.
That night, in the Louds' hotel room, Lincoln was telling his family and cousins about what happened at Lillie's place.
"Good thing you were there, cuz." said Shane.
"I hope that Salandit doesn't bother Lillie again." said Shelby.
"I think she would prefer the Salandit doing that than Chandler." said Lynn.
"Yeah." said Lincoln.
"I wish I got to see the mansion." said Lola.
"Totes." said Leni.
"How was training, Lynn?" asked Lincoln.
"I think my Pokemon are a bit stronger now." said Lynn. "Not sure how they are compared to Kalani's, but I'll bet we'll be ready for her at the Pokemon Battle Royale Tournament."
After everyone got done talking, they end the call and get ready for bed.
Meanwhile, in Chandler's room, he was thinking about his battle with Hobbes.
"If it wasn't for Lillie needing help, then that butler would've beaten me." said Chandler. "I need to step up my game if I'm gonna be a better trainer than the Louds and get Lillie to want me."
Lincoln and Mallow helped save the Pokemon Egg entrusted to Lillie. What else will happen as the Louds' Alola adventure continues?
