Heya readers, sorry for the wait, I had some writers block as well as was focusing on my crossover 'Turtles and Transformers'.
Chapter Twenty-Two
Meanwhile, Jun after he left the residential quarters decided to have a look around by himself.
He felt guilty that he refused to join Dahlia whilst she went exploring the sanctuary, but he still felt so angry and hurt over their predicament as well as upset about not being able to contact his family again.
He couldn't help feeling so much anger and resentment and he hoped maybe going for a walk would help, either that or find something or somewhere to expel his feelings.
Before long, he made it to another area of the sanctuary where he heard some upbeat music as well as grunts and shouts.
The newly mutated tiger stood still and listened for a moment.
After his mutation, he had discovered that his hearing was a lot more acute and sharp than when he was human, and he could tell exactly where it was coming from, and he soon realised it was coming from a room just ahead of him.
"Yah! Hiyah!"
Jun walked towards the sounds, as they sounded so familiar to him, the sounds of fighting.
At the same time, he could hear metal against metal or wood as well as the crack of a whip.
"Crack' 'Swish' 'Crack'
Before long he reached an area which turned out to be a large training room/Asian style Dojo.
The floors were covered with mats, some thick ones for softer landings whilst others were firm and thin and he could see a few punch bags, some wooden blocks, a rack full of weapons and some plum flower poles.
Against one wall, the tiger would see some targets, some that looked like those he remembered from Archery classes at the summer camps he went to when he was young and there was also a couple of tables were he saw some tins had been stacked like those on stalls at carnivals he had visited.
In the room, he could see four mutant animals hard at training.
There was a female viper with sandy coloured scales and dark golden hair that was short and messy wearing a purple crop top and combat trousers with a leather whip that she used to strike at the targets.
There was a male grey wolf wearing jeans and a sleeveless open vest practising punches and kicks and given Jun's experience of fighting styles he could see it was a mix of freestyle and karate.
There was also a male green grasshopper wearing metal Greeves on his legs hopping around and striking the air with kicks as some targets were being launched at him by a launcher on one side of the room.
Also on the thicker and softer mats, the tiger saw a female Cheetah with shoulder length dark hair and a female dragonfly with copper brown hair doing some sparring against each other.
Jun watched them for a while as he looked around the area then he stepped inside to take a better look at it.
"A dojo?" he thought as he entered.
Yet as he made his presence known, the mutants stopped what there were doing to look at him.
"Hey guys!" the wolf called out "Looks whose here!"
The Viper, Cheetah, Dragonfly, and grasshopper looked over, yet a target from the launcher hit the grasshopper in the side of the head making him do a flip head over heels and he landed with a plop on his bottom.
As that happened, the Viper laughed hard.
"Eyes at the back of your head Percy!" she quipped to which the named Grasshopper rubbed his head and groaned.
"It's the Newbie!" The Dragonfly exclaimed.
"He's emerged!" the Cheetah grinned.
Jun was a little surprised as the mutants saw him and approached him.
"Hey there!" Percy called over.
"How you finding things man?" the wolf asked.
"Nice to finally meet you!" the Dragonfly chimed in.
"What's your name?" the wolf asked, "I'm Jack!" he held out a paw for Jun to shake and the tiger took a deep breath as he tried to remain composed as he didn't want to appear rude to the mutants who were showing him kindness and took it before giving it a shake.
"I'm Sarah." The Cheetah volunteered then gestured to the others.
"That's Percy." She pointed out the grasshopper.
"Kate." She introduced the Viper, "And Heather." She ended with the Dragonfly.
"Hi Jack." Jun said before nodding at the other mutants and saying their names.
"I'm Jun."
"Jun eh?" Sarah asked.
"Human name or new name?" Kate asked.
"New one." Jun replied, "My real name was Samuel."
"Ah right." Heather said, "Not a bad choice for a new name!"
"Thanks." Jun replied.
"Anyway, how are you taking in this new life?" Jack asked.
Jun glowered slightly.
"If I'm being honest." He said, "I hate this, and I'm finding it very difficult."
The mutants looked a little awkward, but they looked at the tiger sympathetically.
"Hey, we understand!" the Cheetah said with a small smile "We've had many newbies who've felt the same!"
"For sure!" the Dragonfly agreed.
"So, what is this place?" Jun asked deciding to change the subject.
"This is our Dojo, where we practice our fighting skills!" Heather explained.
"Like it?" Kate asked gesturing to the area with her hands.
Jun scanned the room and took in all the equipment which had more equipment than the average gym he had practised in in his human life, and he started to feel at home.
"I have to say, it does look nice." He admitted.
"Well, if you want to, you can join us in training?" Kate offered.
"Best place to let off steam if you need it?" Percy suggested.
Jun frowned as he thought for a moment.
He had been feeling so much pent-up anger and he wanted to release but had held it back.
Now seeing this dojo and the equipment, he saw there was a place he could do just that, and he narrowed his eyes.
"Really hmm?" he said then clenched his fists "Why not?"
Take your pick tiger boy," Jack said gesturing with his paw to all that was on offer "Punch bags, wooden blocks, go for it!"
Jun growled under his breath at the nickname.
"Tiger boy?" he thought "I've only been mutated less than a couple of days and they're already labelling me?!"
He wanted to shout at the wolf not to call him any names regarding his new mutation, but he bit his tongue and decided to head to one of the punch bags to take his anger on that instead.
As he strode over to it, the other mutants watched him as well as his demeaner.
"Looks like a hard case!" Kate whispered.
"I agree!" Heather whispered back then her eyes widened as she saw Jun take off his top exposing his broad shoulders and muscles.
"Whoa! Check him out!" Sarah hissed.
"He's got bigger ones than you Jackie!"
Jack frowned at the girls then looked at Jun who did a few stretches then began to land swift punches on the chosen bag then followed up with a few elbow strikes.
"Wow..." Percy breathed "If I didn't know any better, this guy's already a fighter!"
"No shit!" Kate said as she watched.
"I think I overheard Cam and Barry speaking about him." Heather admitted "That they brought back some people who had been in the same area as a tournament they were attending topside!"
"Yeah! True that!" Sarah agreed.
Percy was about to speak yet he winced as he looked over at Jun who struck at the bag before him with all his strength.
"Jeez!" he exclaimed "He's going all out man!"
The other mutants couldn't help but agree as they watched, and they weren't sure if they could concentrate on their own activities.
In fact, Jack took out his Shell-Cell and began to video Jun.
"Jack?" Sarah asked, "What are you doing?"
"Shhh!" Jack hissed "I think the Boss would be interested in this!"
"Seeing how aggressive he is." Heather muttered "He'd give Raphael a run for his money."
She thought about the aggressive hot-headed turtle back in New York and the second eldest brother of the Hamato Clan who liked to go into battle all guns blazing rather than like his older brother Leonardo who liked to plan and think before jumping into the action.
"Or Kate?' Sarah quipped as she looked over at the Viper who glared at her.
"Oi!" she snapped yet she couldn't help but agree that was her nature, being aggressive and merciless in her fighting whether it be training or in battle.
About ten minutes went by and Jun was still training.
Jack, Sarah, Heather, and Percy continued to watch him from the side-lines, and they couldn't believe how relentless the tiger was the way he kept striking at the punchbag.
In fact, Jun was so focused on letting out his pent-up anger and frustration he didn't notice the other mutants had stopped doing what they were doing to watch him, and he continued to attack the bag with various types of kicks from different angles.
On his mind was the fact that his and Alexandra, now Dahlia's lives had been changed so suddenly and he had been forced to accept this new life without any say in the matter.
He also couldn't understand how Dahlia seemed to accept it a lot quicker, almost like she had given up on her family and loved ones for this new life that had been forced on them.
But then he started to think of the ones who had taken away their old lives and all they were planning.
The Mafia.
As he struck the bag, Antonella's face appeared before him, that smirk behind her red lips as she held the tiny knife, she used to kill Jason, her black hair up in the tight bun and the reflection of the gunfire that shot him and Alexandra down in her Gucci sunglasses.
The other member of the Mafia he thought of was Rosa, who had shot Alexandra down as they had tried to flee, she was the one who had fired the gun and delivered the fatal bullet to his love.
Then he thought of Boris who had fondled Alexandra's breasts as she laid there dying next to him and he had found the check hidden in her bra.
The whole Mafia who had been there that night, they had bet on the wrong fighter, they were the ones who had stolen their lives, and broken the hearts of his and Alexandra's loved ones once they heard the tragic news.
"Bastards..." he muttered as he continued to punch and kick the bag with all his might as sweat appeared on his forehead "The Fuckers!"
Another five minutes went by, and the four Chicago Knights were starting to wonder how long Jun was going to keep up his training since he hadn't stopped, not even to wipe the sweat from his forehead or take a drink from the fountain in the corner.
In fact, Sarah was about to suggest they check on him but then her watch bleeped, and she looked at it then saw it was just after one in the afternoon.
"Guys," she spoke up "It's almost lunch, don't you think we should stop him?"
"We should really." Kate said, "So he doesn't go hungry till teatime."
"Nor knock that bag right off the roof!" Percy pointed out as he saw how the tiger was attacking the bag so much the chain it was hooked up to was looking like it was going to get ripped out.
Jack frowned then looked at the three girls and grasshopper who looked back at him silently as if to say 'You gonna go over there?'
Jack snorted annoyed.
"Alright I'll stop him!" he said then turned to Jun "It's always me!" he muttered under his breath then walked over to the tiger and stood in his line of vison.
"Hey!" he said, "Hey Tiger man!"
Jun snapped his head towards the wolf, the glare still present on his face and Jack flinched a little seeing how mad he looked.
"Sorry mate, it's just, it's lunchtime soon," the wolf reported "Sarah's watch bleeped reminding us."
Jun snorted.
"I see, thanks." He said wiping his forehead and looking at the punch bag and how it was almost knocked off it's hook.
"You did a pretty good number on that bag!" Jack commented.
"I'll say!" Percy agreed "Almost rivalled Tyroth's strength there!"
"That's rare!" Heather agreed.
"Come on guys," Sarah said "We better get freshened up then head to lunch."
"Good idea!" Percy agreed "I sure worked up an appetite after a good workout!"
"Likewise." Kate agreed.
"You hungry Jun?" Heather asked.
"I... guess I could eat something." Jun mused "I wonder if Dahila's there?"
"Come on then," Jack smiled encouragingly "Let's get washed and we'll head to the canteen, have you been shown around Mutopia yet?"
"No, not really..." Jun admitted.
"Ah well!" Percy enthused "We can give you a tour, once you've gotten some food in you?"
"yeah!" Heather agreed then gestured her head to the entrance "Come on, We'll show you where the showers are."
Jun nodded then he picked up his shirt, unintentionally giving the females present another view of his body.
Sarah and Heather glanced at Jun's muscles then watched him walk with Percy and Jack to the showers then hung back with Kate who they could watch the tiger.
"Not a bad looking guy huh?" Sarah asked giving a smile at his physique.
"I'll say." Heather agreed.
"Maybe," Kate shrugged "But he doesn't compare to my turtle, my Mikey is my dream dude!" she smiled dreamily as she thought of her boyfriend back in New York.
Percy turned to Kate and smirked before singing.
"Katie and Mikey sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G...Yeow!" he winced as Kate's whip collided with his head.
"Shut up Locust!" Kate snapped.
"You're just jealous Percy!" Heather called out.
"Am not!" Percy shot back.
"Cut it out guys!" Jack scolded "not in front of our guest!"
He looked to Jun.
"Sorry about them, Percy tends to wind Kate up a lot."
Jun shrugged and continued to walk with the wolf until they got to the showers.
"I wonder what Louie's cooked up for us?" Jack asked with a chuckle as well as licked his lips.
Jun's found Mutopia's Dojo and has met Jack, Sarah, Heather, Kate and Percy.
As one can guess, he's still angry and on edge because of what's happened, and who can blame him?
