Chapter 53

Mitna Rachnun

Moxxie

"Sir, please calm down." Said Moxxie as he was trying to calm down Blitzo while several of his father's men were guarding them. Said guarding was taking place in a room somewhere within the city they woke up in. Millie, who was also in the room with them, said nothing as she tended to Moxxie's injuries as best she could. Unfortunately, it seemed Mitna Rachnun lacked any real medicines or any form of medical supplies given the nature of its inhabitants, so there wasn't much she could do. Fortunately, all Blitzo did was give her husband a broken nose and somehow didn't manage to give him a black eye despite the rage behind his attack. Ripping a portion of her dinner date dress to create makeshift bandages, she began tending to Moxxie's broken nose, which had been dripping blood for a good while now.

"Fuck that!" Yelled Blitzo as he thrashed around the bed, though it was more of a slap of metal with its lack of bedding, that he was chained and strapped to in case he tried to attack Morgana, who was currently in another room away from the Imp until he calmed down. Which was not going to happen for awhile. "Get me that fucking winged bitch! I'm going to fucking kill her for what she did to Stolas! I don't give a shit if I don't do much against her or if she kills me in return. No one does that shit to Stolas while I'm around!"

"Blitz! You can't do that!" Yelled Millie upon hearing what Blitzo said in shock upon finishing wrapping up Moxxie's nose. Though she was a bit angry at Blitzo for attacking her husband, she also understood it as well. After all, she would have done the same thing if someone did something like that to Moxxie. "What about Loona!? Your just going to let her be an orphan again?" Blitzo paused upon the mention of his adoptive daughter, but soon got back to being angry.

"So you expect me to just let her off the hook after she chocked Stolas for defending us. Not to mention trying to shift blame to him for us and trying to explain the situation to her only to get chocked and have his arm sliced and burned to a crisp in return!" Yelled Blitzo as he struggled against the chains and straps holding him to the bed to no avail. "Stolas deserves better than that! And I'm going to kill that bitch for thinking she has any right to do that to him!"

"She doesn't think that, Blitzo!" Yelled Moxxie, angry that Blitzo would think Morgana so lowly. "You may not have seen it but she was shocked at what happened when her magic touched Stolas. And, in case you forgot, she didn't use her magic against you when you tried to attack her. If she wanted to, she would have burned you to a crisp for attacking and threatening her." Upon hearing Moxxie defend Morgana, Blitzo glared at Moxxie, not believing that his employee was defending that bitch.

"Why the fuck are you defending that bitch, Moxxie!?" Demanded Blitzo as he tried to make sense of Moxxie defending someone he didn't know. "She hurt Stolas, someone we actually know, and you're defending the person that caused him to lose an arm. A person you don't even know! Are you trying to get into her skirt in front of your wife!? I would respect that if it was anyone else but you!" Upon hearing Blitzo's accusation and his claim that he didn't know Morgana, Moxxie just glared at Blitzo, his temper rising to the breaking point.
"I do know her, sir!" Yelled Moxxie as Millie was trying to calm her husband down to no avail. "She's my friend! A friend that I've known since I was ten years old and someone that's trying to help us get my dad to actually do something against the undead invasion that occurring in their world!" Upon hearing that, Blitzo was in shock at what he just heard from Moxxie. He knew that woman and didn't feel the need to tell them that she had some magic that could hurt Stolas just being touched by the stuff. Or tell him that he was friends with a fucking goth angel that had a real hatred for injustice and the line of business they were doing. Between this and all the stuff that he told about his dad and his plans, Blitzo was completely pissed off.

"Just how much fucking stuff are you keeping from me, Moxxie!?" Demanded Blitzo as he glared at his employee, feeling a mixture of both anger and hurt that Moxxie, someone he didn't think would keep such big secrets from him. He really underestimated his employee. He would be impressed if he wasn't so fucking furious with him right now. "First you kept the fact your dad's a freaking psychotic warlord that plays 4d chess or some shit with other people as the pieces to yourself. Next you keep the fact that you got a goth angel friend that can hurt someone as powerful as Stolas without any effort to yourself. What fucking else are you keeping from me?! A giant dead dragon as a pet!? You keep the souls of those you killed in a closet here!? What fucking else are you keeping from me that could harm me or anyone I care about!?" As Blitzo was ranting, both Millie and Moxxie looked on in shock as Blitzo was starting to get delirious and angrier at Moxxie.

They've never seen Blitzo this angry before. He always was in control of his emotions and the times they've seen him angry were never as bad as what he was showing right now. Nonetheless, they still tried to calm him down as, even if Moxxie claimed otherwise, he was their friend.

"Blitz, you shouldn't be too hard on Moxxie." Said Millie as she took her turn on trying to calm Blitzo down, her hands on her husband to calm him down as well. "I didn't know about all this stuff until a few weeks ago as well. I was a little hurt, sure, but I can see why he kept it from us. Stuff like this…well it ain't exactly something that you tell someone without fully believing they can be trusted. Cause I don't think any of our nobles will like the idea of a human soul taking control of Hell, especially after what he pulled some months ago." Blitzo, hearing Millie siding with Moxxie, looked at her incredulously.

"What the fuck, Millie?!" Demanded Blitzo as he glared at Millie as well, still trying to break free to no avail. "Moxxie has been keeping secrets from us since the day we met him and you aren't fucking pissed off at that. Satan's sake, just how much do you like Moxxie's dick that you support him even after all this!?" Upon hearing that Millie gasped in shock before glaring at Blitzo, now pissed off.

"Blitz!" Yelled Millie as glared at Blitzo, taking her hands off her husband so she can clenched them tightly into fists. "You take that back right now or I'll show you why it's a bad idea to piss me off!" Moxxie, realizing the situation was getting worse, grabbed his wife before she could do anything and tried to continue to defuse the situation.

"Millie please stop!" Yelled Moxxie as he tried to calm his wife down before looking over at Blitzo. "Same with you Blitzo! We're supposed to be here convincing my dad to help against the Ruination and all we're doing is just calming you down from doing something that'll get you killed. In case you forgot, Blitzo, there's a literal invasion of undead that's killing thousands, maybe even millions, of people down in Runeterra. Every second counts in saving people from those undead. Seconds we're wasting by having to deal with your tantrum, sir!" Blitzo was stunned at what Moxxie, aghast at what he said, before glaring at him in fury.

"Oh, a tantrum is what I'm experiencing, huh Moxxie!" Yelled Blitzo, getting angrier. The chains and straps holding him onto the bed were now starting to dig into his flesh as he tried to break free of them. "A tantrum! Our fucking meal ticket got his fucking arm cut off because of that winged bitch for trying to defend us. A meal ticket that's got a daughter he loves that now has to see him without an arm probably because of that bitch! Not to mention that bitch grabbed me and was probably going to kill me with her weird ass magic and your calling what I feel a tantrum!? That's it, Moxxie! When we're out of this situation your ass is fired! You hear me! Fired! So you better pack your things from the office or I'm going to put my pistol so far up your ass that…" Blitzo couldn't say anymore when one of the guards with them suddenly walked up to Blitzo, his steps echoing in the metal floor.

"What are you…" The question that Moxxie was about to ask was interrupted when the approaching guard brought up a fist and brought it down on Blitzo's forehead.

"Blitz!" Yelled Millie in shock as their boss was knocked unconscious from the head injury. "What the fuck was that for!?" The guard said nothing before returning back to his post with the rest of his comrades. Gritting her teeth at this, Millie looked at Moxxie, who sighed at what happened. "Mox, your dad's people could learn a thing or two about manners. I know that rich coming from someone from Wrath but still."

"*Sighs* Manners isn't exactly a thing most of my dad's people have after coming here, Millie." Said Moxxie simply as he went to a nearby chair and sat on it. Millie sighed at that before sitting next to her husband. Looking at his injuries, Millie gave him a sad smile.

"Quite an anniversary, huh, Mox?" Asked Millie as she tried to lighten the mood a bit. Moxxie just sadly chuckled at this before looking at his wife and her dress.

"Yeah." Said Moxxie before taking note of the ripped up skirt portion of his wife's dress. "Sorry about your dress, Millie."

"Ah, its nothing." Said Millie as she waved off the damaged dress. "Got this for cheap in a store I know. Can always get another one. Rather have a ruined dress than having you bleed all over this place." She then sighed before asking her husband a serious question. "Why do you care about what your dad does to help the living world, honey? Isn't he the one that gave you and I the job at I.M.P.? A place where we go to the living world to kill people for money from those that aren't exactly the nicest of people. Even our nicest of customers with the exception of that Mayberry chick and a few others, are really shitty people. And I don't think I need to mention what we did at the beach. I'm sure a lot of those people weren't really too bad or anything. So why do you care if your dad helps save people from this Ruination?" Moxxie just sighed at that before explaining.

"This situation is different to all those Millie." Said Moxxie. "When we got to the human world, I always had reservations on us killing those that didn't deserve it. That cannibal family that caused Mayberry's husband to cheat on her. They deserve what happened to them for a wide variety of reasons. Those people on the beach? I just reluctantly did that to satisfy Blitzo's petty want to one-up his ex-girlfriend. I didn't really enjoy killing all those people. I just did my job. Although, looking back on it now, I'm starting to have serious reservations on that whole thing. Even more so when Morgana realizes what we did there." Moxxie then shuddered. "If you think what she did to Stolas was bad, I don't think that is anything close to what Morgana can do to us." Upon hearing that, Millie couldn't help but shudder at that. She remembered what she saw when Morgana lost her temper that time they told her about the annual exterminations and what she did to Stolas, a demon noble. If she could seriously burn and injure a demon noble with just one mere touch of those chains of hers, she shuddered what that purple-haired angel woman can do if she actually wanted to fight.

"Anyway, I'm not going to pretend that everyone affected by the Ruination isn't a piece of shit that deserves death." Said Moxxie as he looked at his wife. "I know there are plenty of shitty people in Runeterra just as there shitty people in Earth and Hell, but there's also plenty of good people down there that don't deserve what's happening to them right now. I realize my dad hasn't done anything against any of the prior Ruinations before, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't start now. I know he claims to get only benefits from letting this Ruination to continue, but he's forgetting the losses as well."

"And what losses are those, Mox?" Asked Millie as she looked at her husband in confusion. From where she was standing, Mordekaiser gained more from letting the Ruination continue than stopping it. Less stuff to waste fighting the Ruination he could use for other purposes and an easier time to corrupt people to his side. What could he possibly lose by not letting all this continue? Fortunately, her husband was willing to explain to her.

"He wants what's best for everyone, but how can people trust him to do that when he does stuff like this?" Asked Moxxie rhetorically as he looked at his wife seriously. "How can they trust someone that's so willing to let people die just because he deems their deaths necessary to succeed? How can they trust that he actually has their best intentions in mind when he continually does stuff like this? What's stopping him from doing it to his own people? People he claims he cares about? How can people be proud or even happy with my dad as their ruler when he's willing to be so ruthless and callous towards innocent lives? Its not right for a ruler to be so willing to use such methods when better methods are available." Millie stayed silent as she let her husband rant on, stunned to hear him say so much things that were so…alien to people of Hell.

Her husband. Someone who allowed people like Blitzo to insult him on a daily basis. Someone who allowed himself to be sexually assaulted by a Succubus popstar without any retaliation from him. Someone didn't complain much more than what people normally do about life in Hell while secretly helping his father usurp rulership of Hell from the Morningstars and the Sins and did so without much complaint was now criticizing his dad on what to do. Millie, stunned but also admiring her husband for this, was about to speak when they both heard a voice that sent a chill through their spines.

"So that is how you feel regarding this situation with the Ruination, Moxxie?" Asked Mordekaiser as he made himself known in the room. No entry via the door nor a voice in their heads. He just appeared out of thin air just like that. Full armor and everything.

Looking directly at his adopted son, Mordekaiser spoke again.

"You truly believe that it would suit me better to earn the gratitude of the people of Runeterra than using the Ruination to spread my influence?" Asked Mordekaiser at the Imp couple as they recover from the shock at seeing Mordekaiser just appearing out of nowhere. Taking a deep breath, Moxxie spoke to his dad.

"Yes, dad." Said Moxxie as he looked at his adoptive father with a determined look on his face. "Dad, the reason I support you, despite everything you did to Hell so far, is because I know that you are a fair and…practical ruler, but there's something your forgetting that's also important to being a ruler of…you know people that are alive. They aren't as…apathetic towards ruthless methods as the dead. Even the people of Hell would be uncomfortable with some of the methods you use to achieve victory, dad. They fear when those that rule over them resort to such brutal and manipulative methods so quickly and as a first option. They fear that those methods will be turned on them, even if those methods are used for their protection. And they have good reason to fear that, dad. They don't know you personally. They only know your reputation, your public persona, and your actions. They don't know that you won't do the things you do to your enemies to them. They don't know that there is a k…logical and practical heart under all that metal and dark magic that makes you up, dad. That's why you need to be more merciful and kinder in your approach. To show them that you aren't the bad guy. I know the undead have a bad reputation in Runeterra right now, but that doesn't mean you can't do something to change that. You can show them that undead can the living can exist in tandem. You can show them that not all undead deserve true death." With that, Moxxie stopped his speech and took a breath, allowing both Millie and Mordekaiser time to process what he just said.

For Millie she was in awe of her husband, talking to his powerful dad like that. To her, it showed the courage that her husband had, talking to such as a powerful being like Mordekaiser and not showing his fear, and showed just why she made the right choice in marrying him.

"I'm going to need to award him after all this is over." Thought Millie as she looked at her husband, proud of him.

Mordekaiser, however, just looked at his son with the typical stare that he gave everyone, even to his own son. Then again, his helmet left very little way for him to express emotions.

After a few minutes of looking at Moxxie, Mordekaiser spoke.

"Come with me." Said Mordekaiser as he summoned a portal inside the room. "And only you, Moxxie. Your wife will remain here. I believe what we need to discuss regarding the Ruination is something that is best kept between ourselves." Upon hearing that, Moxxie looked at his father in shock. Was he actually considering changing his mind? Believing this and trusting his father not to do anything to Millie and especially Blitzo for what he did to Moxxie, the adopted son of the Iron Revenant agreed to do what his dad requested.

"Moxxie, are you sure about this?" Asked Millie as her husband got up and walked towards his father, slightly worried for her husband. Though she knew that Mordekaiser cared about his son and wouldn't hurt him in any way, she still worried for her husband. This realm was not friendly in any way at all.

"I'll be fine. I promise. Just keep Blitzo calm and keep him from doing anything stupid that'll get him killed." Said Moxxie before Mordekaiser and him walked through the portal. Once they were both through, the portal closed, leaving Millie alone with Mordekaiser's warriors and an unconscious Blitzo.

Moxxie

The moment both Mordekaiser and Moxxie were out the portal, Mordekaiser grabbed his son before he fell off the metal platform they were on. "Ahh!" Yelled Moxxie as he was saved from falling into the abyss that was the bottom of Mitna Rachnun. As he was looking at the swirling dark energy and metal that formed the Grey Realm, Mordekaiser put his adopted son behind him and safe from falling to his demise. "Dad! Can you please stop putting your portals near edges! Are you trying to kill people with these!?"

"Only those that deserve it. Or for amusement." Said Mordekaiser simply as he looked at the blackened and metal filled sky that resided in his realm. "Tell me, Moxxie. What do you remember about the skies of the Grey Realm?" Moxxie blinked at the question before replying to his dad.

"Yeah I remember them." Said Moxxie as he looked at the skies of Mitna Rachnun. Their foreboding presence and the metal shards floating in the air giving him an air of unease, fearing that the shards will suddenly drop and strike him dead.

"What do you remember of the dangers that come with them?" Asked Mordekaiser as he continued to look at the skies of Mitna Rachnun. "What are the differences between this realm's sky and that of both the living world and Hell?"

"What?" Asked Moxxie in confusion at the question his father just asked. Where was he going with this? "Dad, I don't understand…"

"Answer the question, Moxxie. What are the differences between Mitna Rachnun's weather and that of Hell and that of Runeterra and Earth?" Asked Mordekaiser, causing Moxxie to sigh as he realized his dad wasn't going to budge from this. Reaching into the back of his mind, Moxxie thought of the dangers that his dad told him about Mitna Rachnun back when he was little. Dangers that make Hell look safe in comparison.

"Where Hell has things like acid rain and massive Hellnadoes that the people of Hell just ignore when they occur and the damages they bring, especially Sinners as they can regenerate from whatever damages those natural disaster can occur, the Grey Realm has far more dangerous environmental hazards." Explained Moxxie as he recalled a few that his father told him repeatedly when he was just a little kid.

"Like?" Asked Mordekaiser, causing Moxxie to sigh.

"Well, there's the shard storms." Said Moxxie, wondering where his father was going with this. "They're kind of like acid rain in Hell, except it's a weather phenomenon that's so much worse as they can actually kill souls without much issue due to the magical properties found within the shrapnel that make up a shard storm. A shard storm can occur at any moment's notice with very little warning to even no warning at all. Making colonization of the Grey Realm near impossible to do without good logistical and planning to do so. Not to mention having a handful of mages around for protection against the shard storms. Then there's the soul waves. Literal waves of spirit energy that goes around and draining people here of their souls. They can only really be avoided with magical protection and nothing else."

"Exactly." Said Mordekaiser with a hint of pride in his voice before he looked at his son. "I can see that you remember the land that raised you well, despite living in Hell for so long."

"Yeah, I guess." Said Moxxie before asking a question of his own. "No offense, dad, but what was the point of those questions? I doubt they were to simply quiz me."

"No, they weren't." Said Mordekaiser simply before explaining. "They were meant to make you think and understand why I do not believe what you desire of me is the right course of action regarding the Ruination." He then gestured towards the entirety of the Grey Realm. "Moxxie, compare this realm to that of Hell. Do you believe people there, or those in Runeterra or Earth, will desire to be ruled over one that comes from this realm if they had the choice? Even if I am truly benevolent to them and only wish to be a humane and just ruler, which I am not, they will only see the darkness that permeates in every being in Mitna Rachnun. Many will not give the undead a chance to prove that they will not harm the living or will not attempt to corrupt them. Not unless I implant my influence in their societies so deeply that to rebel against me would make them lose far too much for any rebellion to actually be advisable. The living and the demons of Hell, I've learned, despise great change or being under the rule of someone that is not one of them, even if its an insignificant difference like where they are born or where they swear allegiance to. The amount of time it would take for the living and the demons of Hell to realize the benefits of being under my rule and accepting it would take far too long than to simply infiltrate their ranks and make them accept it that way. It may sound harsh, but that is the reality of life, Moxxie."

When he heard all that, Moxxie couldn't help but frown at his father's word. As much as it sounded like something his father would do, he couldn't accept it. He refused to let his father allow so many people to die just to gain more influence over the mortal world. It just wasn't right. Despite the hypocrisy, Moxxie spoke up to his dad on trying to save people from the Ruination.

"Dad, you just can't do that." Said Moxxie as he looked at his dad, hoping to convince him to see reason. "Doing this may seem like the better option, but its not. You claim that the living and the demons of Hell won't follow someone different from them, and you may be right on that, but they also won't follow or accept someone that does what you're doing right now. Your treating people like chess pieces instead of actual people. No one likes to be treated as objects, even if it wasn't intentional. Dad…I know that you weren't born in a time where things like this matter, and your current methods work, but times are changing. Things like treating people humanely and with minimizing collateral damage are important things if you want them to accept you as a ruler. You can't brutalize a few people here and there and expect them to want you as their ruler. You have to…" Mordekaiser just growled at Moxxie's words, causing him to be silent.

"You've become quite similar to Morgana during your time in Hell, despite the environment you grew in." Said Mordekaiser as he looked at his son. That statement caused Moxxie to blink in surprise.

"Really?" Asked Moxxie in shock. He heard that Morgana tried to do what he was doing to his father before, but he didn't think his father would compare him to the winged woman at all.

"Yes." Said Mordekaiser. "Both in terms of your morality and hypocrisy." When Moxxie look at him in more shock as well as hurt at what Mordekaiser just said, the Iron Revenant elaborated. "Moxxie, do you not see the double standards that are emitting from what you're asking me to do as well as the hypocritical nature of your stance on the Ruination given what you do for a livelihood?" When Moxxie didn't answer him, Mordekaiser scoffed. "It seems Hell has gifted you ignorance towards the consequences of your actions as well as the hypocritical nature of some of them." Mordekaiser then placed a clawed hand on his son's head, causing Moxxie to widen his eyes in panic. "Do not worry, son. I'm merely enlightening you towards some of your…less than proud of kills." Then, before Moxxie could react, Mordekaiser began showing him memories and images of some of the souls that came to the Grey Realm. People that I.M.P. killed.

Moxxie screamed in pain as he saw the last moments of those that he and the rest of I.M.P. From that cannibal family to all the people they killed on that beach. Though not all of them had it or seen the Imps commit their murders, Moxxie felt the terror and pain from those that did as they watched Moxxie, Millie, or Blitzo killed them all without even a slight hint of hesitation or regret.

The Imp screamed even more when he was forced to witness some of the happier and heartwarming actions that some of the people I.M.P. killed had with their loved ones prior to their deaths. Most of which was beautiful and it broke the Imp's heart when he realized that he helped caused so much tragedy for so many people and their families. All in the name of earning him and Millie enough money to just barely make a living in Hell and helping get access to Stolas' book for his father, the latter reason of course being rendered moot when he took the book from Blitzo after that run in with that weird human organization.

Soon, Mordekaiser stopped showing his adopted son the memories and last moments of those I.M.P. killed. Retracting his hand from his son's forehead, the Iron Revenant then kept Moxxie from falling into the ground from exhaustion from all that he's shown him. Tears soon began to well up in Moxxie's eyes as he realized just how much pain and misery he caused to the families of all those he killed. Well, those that had them anyway.

"I…I didn't know I was going to cause so much pain." Said Moxxie as he started to cry. A part of him wondered if his father would scold him for showing such vulnerability in front of someone, but it seemed Mordekaiser was allowing it for this occasion. "I…I just wanted too…"

"Don't say it. We both know why you did it." Said Mordekaiser as he held his son but nothing more. "You wanted to help me and provide for your wife and potential family. There's nothing more to say regarding the matter that won't label you as a hypocritical fool."

"But still!" Yelled Moxxie as he held his father's arm, not caring about how cold it was or how childish it made him. Not like anyone was around to laugh at him. "I helped killed so many that had families and loved ones that depended on them to survive! I separated people from those they loved. And I learned that some of those I killed didn't deserve death at all! They were just honest people that made a mistake that got people killed. Or worse, some of the Sinners that hired us to kill those people were genuinely awful people that either wanted to kill people for petty reasons or just wanted to make the lives of others worse for selfish and horrible reasons! I can't believe I didn't realize some of the contracts we take in I.M.P. were for so awful people. Why didn't I see it earlier?!"

"You didn't see it earlier because you didn't want to." Said Mordekaiser simply as he looked at his son. "You didn't want to see that what you do for a living can cause harm or even ruin the lives of those that don't deserve such fates. Even when it was obvious from the start. Even living in Hell, you are still the naïve boy that I adopted as a son. In life, no matter what race they are, every action will have a consequence. Sometimes it on those that commit those actions, sometimes they befall on others, innocent or otherwise, and other times it befalls on both the bearer and others. Your actions in I.M.P. are simply more violent than other actions in that it take lives, morally right or otherwise. Why you thought you only killed those deserving of death with a morally inept leader like that Blitzo is beyond me? I thought you knew that you also killed those that deserving of death yet during that entire idiotic bet with that Succubus, but it seems I was wrong." Mordekaiser then watched as Moxxie let the tears fall and hit the ground beneath them.

"Tell me, why do you still possess these naïve viewpoints of life?" Asked Mordekaiser as he let his adopted son cry. "Why do you not know that for change to occur, sacrifices must be done towards those that oppose such changes as well as the common people? This is a simple reality of life that has been occurring since the very first day of existence itself. The Princess of Hell doesn't understand this, thus preventing her from doing what is necessary to achieve her goals. Morgana does not as well or perhaps she knows it and chooses to remain in hiding then helping her people in any meaningful way. And now you as well. You painted me as some sort of noble warrior that will bring salvation to all and punish the wicked when they commit crimes when in reality I am no such thing. Like I told that Morgana, I am no hero or a knight found in tales meant for coddled children, I am a conquering warlord that aims to take control of anything and everything in existence. And I will do everything and anything to achieve my goals, even if it means the sacrifice of those you deem innocent. That is who I am and who I always will be. To think otherwise shows the naivety and foolishness of those that think otherwise. I've done worse than standing by and allowing innocent people by killed. Believe me, my son, this is nothing compared to what I've done in the past." He then grunted as he helped Moxxie up.

"Answer me those questions, Moxxie." Said Mordekaiser as he looked at his adopted son. "Answer them so I know where you stand." Moxxie sniffled a bit before speaking.

"I…I have these naïve viewpoints and morals because they helped me get through life in Hell." Said Moxxie as he looked at his father. "Before I had Millie, I met numerous people in Hell that bullied and harassed me while I was growing up. Whether it was just because they could or because they had something other people didn't and thus flaunted it around whenever they had the chance, I was bullied so much that I considered just stopping what I was doing in Hell and just go back home to you." That caused Mordekaiser to actually be surprised. His son had considered coming back home when he was young? If so, why didn't he?

"But I didn't because those viewpoints you claim are naïve are what kept me going." Said Moxxie as he looked at his dad, who looked back at him in interest. "They helped me get through the decay, corruption, bullying, poverty, and even hostility that's found in all reaches of Hell. They helped me get through the years I had to endure in Hell until I found Millie because they reassured me that things will get better. That you will make everything better in Hell. Far better than whatever the Princess will do. What any of the nobles and Sins will do if they ever decide to get off their lazy asses and actually do their jobs as leaders of Hell to help the common folk. Its why I put up working for Blitzo for so long. Its why I tolerated what you did throughout all of Hell with your actions of the day you made that speech, dad. And its why I'm trying to get you to help the people of Runeterra against the Ruination. Because I know that you have both the power and intellect to change everyone's lives for the better. Human, Demons, and perhaps even Angels. You just…need to change how you go about everything dad. Please, dad. Just people those on Runeterra. If not for me, then for your future empire. You want to rule both the living and the dead, right? Then do something about the Ruination. Show them that your someone worth following, despite what you are. That you aren't a complete monster. Please." Mordekaiser said nothing as Moxxie looked at him with pleading eyes. Starring deep into his eyes, Mordekaiser said nothing before retracting his hands from Moxxie and taking a step back.

"Dad?" Asked Moxxie as he watched this happen. Looking at his dad as he looked towards the sky of Mitna Rachnun, Moxxie waited desperately for an answer from his father, hoping he would do something against the Ruination. After what felt like an eternity of waiting, Mordekaiser spoke.

"I'm starting to wonder if it was Morgana that adopted you instead of me." Said Mordekaiser before looking back at his son. "Very well, you win Moxxie. I'll help in ending this Ruination." Upon hearing that, Moxxie couldn't help but look at his dad in shock before beginning to tear up again. Except this time it was joy at his father's decision.

"Your making the right decision, dad." Said Moxxie as he wiped his tears away. "You really are. It may not show immediately, but the benefits of doing this will show itself in time. You just have to be patient." Mordekaiser scoffed at that before replying.

"If they ever come." Said Mordekaiser before opening a portal back to where Blitzo and Millie were. Once again, near the edges of the platform they were on. "Take the portal and inform your wife of what I intend on doing so you can prepare her for what you two will do for me." Upon hearing that, Moxxie couldn't help but blink at what his dad just said.

"Wait, help? Are you asking…"

"Yes." Said Mordekaiser simply as he looked at his son. "Since you are so eager to have me help Runeterra in ending this Ruination, you will help in doing so. And I'm sure your wife isn't going to let you go on your own in Runeterra considering the situation there right now."

"But what about Blitzo and Stolas? Not to mention Morgana?" Asked Moxxie. While he wasn't opposed to the idea of helping against the Ruination himself, he wasn't exactly keen on leaving his boss or his lover alone in Mitna Rachnun, where the very air can kill them without the proper protection.

"They'll remain here under care given their injuries or stupidity." Said Mordekaiser simply. "As for Morgana, I'll deal with her myself. The fact that she is not helping against the Ruination herself is something that cannot be ignored. While you attempt to gain an alliance with those that fight against the Ruination, I'll attempt to gain her help in the coming battle against the Ruination. No doubt that she'll be of much help in that battle." Upon hearing all that, Moxxie sighed before nodding.

"Alright, just promise me you'll not hurt them anymore. They suffered enough already." Said Moxxie as he looked at his father.

"You know I can't guarantee that with how stupid that Blitzo is." Said Mordekaiser as he motioned for Moxxie to go through the portal. "Go tell your wife to prepare for a trip to Runeterra as well as meeting some humans that she best not try to kill, even if they threaten death to you. For the people I'm sending you to are not the friendliest to Demons, even if they're primary objective is to deal with the Ruination." Moxxie blinked at what he just heard before speaking.
"Wait what." Said Moxxie as he looked at his dad. "Who the hell are you sending us to?" Mordekaiser simply looked at his son.

"The Sentinels of Light." Said Mordekaiser simply before explaining who they are and what Moxxie needs to say to them so they won't try to kill him. That is they let him speak at all.
