(I know putting a Story Disclaimer on the first chapter would be seen as rude but considering how long the disclaimer is it's better to post like this for the first book and then the rest of the series will have a shorter disclaimer in the Beginning Notes.
Please tolerate having this disclaimer on the first chapter for the time being...)

Westeros Watches a Different FuturebyTheNecroKing44
Westeros Watches a Different Future-Female/Adoption EditionbyShadowSinner02
I was given permission by the writers of both versions to writeA Game of Thrones: In the Land of Monsters; I chose the adoption edition with a female Jon Snow and I am writing from the view point of Lyarra Snow. Both versions ofWesteros Watches a Different Futurehaven't been updated for along time; I willtry to honor the writers' ideas but I am putting myown spin to the stories.
I am trying my hand at Eddard "Ned" Stark and Ashara Dayne being the parents of Lyarra Snow (i.e. Jon Snow); something different from the usualoversused and evenabusedR Plus L Equals J Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen are Jon Snow's Parents' kind of stories. There are alot of fanatic fans who prefer Jon Snow, no matter the gender, to be a Targaryen and will probably give me hell for it; I don't care for what those fanatics say, I am writing this series and I am writing itmy way!
I am honoring the two writers;TheNecroKing44andShadowSinner02who created the two versions that inspired this series. Yet this version is myown and I am using what I have of the originals to write this as a TV series of sorts; each book will be a season and chapters turned into episodes with a set of acts while maintaining the book format.
This is my first time using Rule 63; an internet meme that states, as a rule, "for every character there is a gender swapped version of that character". Rule 63 has become commonly used as a term to refer to gender-swapped interpretation of existing characters in fanwork such as fan art, fanfiction and cosplay to name a few.
I understand that many Readers may not like House Targaryen and Catelyn Tully Stark being bashed is cliche; butthis is astory that I am writing. House Targaryen never changed after their dragons died; they didn't realize that their connection to dragons kept them safe in a way until the Dance of Dragons brought them to extinction.
House Targaryen was close to dying out until a few of them had been wise to marry outside the family, those who had married new blood realize the Valyrian traditions weren't needed and hope to change. I especially felt bad for Queen Rhaella Targaryen and Princess Elia Martell of Dorn; I plan a little surprise later on in story and series.
As for Lady Catelyn Tully Stark; I doubt that she would be first choice as bride to any man (but Littlefinger) and share her Father's ambition to rise high. I knew it's cliche to paint her as the wicked stepmother; but her character is perfect for the role since she is set in her ways.
Catelyn Tully Stark makes for a good villainess and Eddard "Ned" Stark can use a boost to change from his canon fate to something different. I'm even doing a twist to the Stark children and hoping to change their fate to something better.
It's well known that House Dayne were once Kings of the Torrentine just as House Stark were Kings of Winter; I wouldn't be surprised if House Dayne had ruling Queens and possibly even female Swords of the Morning. Of course by then Warrior Princess Nymeria of Ny Sar and her consort Prince Mors Martell began conquering Dorne; House Dayne fought but were beaten, stripped of rulership and reduced to being powerful lord bannerman sworn to House Nymeros Martell.
It'll be interesting as House Dayne are known as Stony Dornishmen with First Men and Andal blood; they may have had Magic laying dormant in their blood that could be awakened. It'll also be interesting that Lyarra Snow could inherit the dormant Magics of Stark and Dayne along with other Magical Gifts.
Lyarra is still going to be a vampire and the how will be different; instead of being a Paladin, she will be a Ranger in service of a Goddess with a twist and I will have her maintaining her connection to her First Men heritage in some way. I do not own the characters of the following list as they belong to...
