Planet Vegeta
Being in front of a small transparent container, Bardock looked at the boy who was there. Thus, Gine and he remained motionless for several minutes staring at their second son: Kakarot.
Gine didn't understand why they were here. Behaving oddly since his return, Bardock had asked her to accompany him here. Then, looking at his son who was asleep inside the container, Bardick hadn't spoken another word. He just seemed lost in his own mind, as if he knew something his wife didn't.
Trying to start a discussion, Gine asserted.
"He's cute, isn't he? Hard to believe that he will become a fighter like his father when he grows up."
Bardock remained silent.
Placing her hand on the wall of the container, Gine continued to stare at Kakarot with a tender gaze, while declaring.
''I wish he had the right to another life than that of a killer of people. ''
"We're going to steal a attack ball tonight," Bardock said.
Having suddenly spoken to say this statement, Bardock had completely surprised Gine, who turned to him.
"Huh?" His wife wondered. " A attack ball? But ... why ? "
"We're going to send him to another planet."
"What are you talking about?" Gin questioned him. "Are you joking?"
"No, I'm serious." Bardock retorted, with an extremely calm face. "I don't know how to explain it but... I feel death coming."
Then Bardock told her everything. Everything that had happened during his last mission and concerning the new power he had acquired.
"These visions look like hallucinations...or or maybe I'm going crazy ! However, I feel like I have to trust them."
"No…that's impossible." Gine retorted. "After all we've done for him...Frieza...Frieza can't betray us."
Putting her hands on her head, she almost sobbed as she asked.
"And Raditz? How are we going to save him? Perhaps that Frieza sent men to kill him too."
"For now, let's just do what we can."
Then, hitting the container, Bardock pulverised it into pieces, releasing all the medical liquid that was inside. Finally, he seized Kakarot, before declaring.
"We're going to get him some armor and a attack ball ! We need to get him off this planet urgently."
Gine didn't know what to do. Even though Bardock was her husband, she couldn't believe everything he said. Why would Frieza suddenly decide he wanted to kill them all, when they had always been loyal to him ?
" Gine ... "
Hearing Bardock calling her, the female saiyan looked up, while Bardock questioned her.
"Do you trust me?"
Surprised, Gine stared at her companion. Bardock had always had a much more antisocial and cold demeanor than Gine. And often, he happened to make decisions without asking the opinion of her woman. But this time, that was not the case. Just by her behavior, Gine understood that her husband needed her support.
Finally, nodding from the waist, she affirmed.
"Of course I trust you."
And immediately, the duo ran towards the exit of the nursery. However, suddenly stopping, Gine saw another baby in one of the beds in this room. Being awake, the child had her eyes open and amused herself by stretching out her arms towards Gine, while smiling slightly.
"Gine?" Bardock called, seeing her stand still.
Then, he was surprised, seeing Gine bend slightly and grab the second baby.
"Hey, what are you doing?"
Gine had no idea who this child was, let alone the identity of her parents. Yet, if her husband was telling the truth, she refused to abandon an innocent child and let her perish along with this planet.
"We don't just have to save our child, Bardock." She asserted, running up to him. "We must save our species! Satisfying Frieza by letting him kill all the saiyans is out of the question."
Staring at the naked baby and noting that it was a girl, she assured.
"These two children will save our race from extinction."
Remaining motionless at first, Bardock finally nodded before leaving.
"We have to move quickly.
" YEAH. "
Half an hour later, as it was dark, the couple were out of town and running in a mountainous area. Finding themselves far from anyone who might get in their way, they put two Attack Balls on the ground and opened them.
Putting Kakarot inside one of them, Bardock then pressed several buttons inside the capsule, in order to mark coordinates and the trajectory that the vessel will follow.
"I think you can survive on the planet where I'm going to send you." He stated, before to close the door of the Attack Ball.
Behind him, while she was still holding the second baby in her arms, Gine was trying to hold back her sobs.
"Gine, he'll be fine." Bardock assured her. "He's a Saiyan."
Suddenly, his wife positioned herself in front of the porthole of the Attack Ball, before declaring.
"Kakarot...we'll be back for you! I promise."
Seeing her do this, Bardock heaved a weary sigh. If his vision was correct, there was little chance that Gine would be able to keep her promise. It was probably the last time the couple would see their son. However, while the engine of the machine began to activate, he put his hand on the porthole of the device, before declaring.
"My son... I entrust the survival of our race to you."
The next moment, the Attack Ball left the ground. Then, hovering briefly above the ground, it eventually rises high into the air, before leaving.
" KAKAROOOOOOOT ! " Shouted Gine.
Simply watching the attack ball leave, Bardock walked over to the second vessel, before opening it.
"We're going to do the same with the other one and..."
Suddenly a vision crossed his mind and immediately Bardock looked up at the sky.
"What's going on?" Gin asked, seeing him motionless and worried.
"Frieza..." He said, feeling a bead of sweat trickling down his forehead. "He is coming here! He is coming to exterminate us."
" WHAT ? "
"Hurry up to evacuate the child." He ordered, before starting to take off.
"Wait! Where are you going?" Gine questioned him.
"I'll save you some time."
Then he flew off into space, where Frieza's ship was. Seeing Bardock leave, Gine remained frozen for a few moments. And it wasn't until she felt a small hand touch her face that she lowered her gaze.
Still smiling at her, the child in her arms slowly wiggled her arms. Seeing her, Gin hurried out of her torpor, before putting the child in the Attack Ball.
"Don't worry! You won't die here."
Then, looking at the buttons, Gine tried to remember the order in which she had to press them, in order to incorporate coordinates. But before she could do anything, an intense light appeared in the sky.
Raising her face, Gine couldn't hide the dread in her gaze, as she saw a gigantic sun-like energy sphere heading towards Planet Vegeta. As Bardock told her, Frieza had condemned this planet and decided to destroy it, along with all the saiyans there.
" Im ... Impossible. "
Seeing the energy sphere approaching, Gin hastened to press several buttons and managed to incorporate hazardous coordinates. Finally, hearing a beep, signaling that the data was recorded, the young woman left the Attack Ball, whose door closed immediately.
Then, hearing the engine of the machine activate, she felt a tear run down her cheek. She knew she was going to die. She knew she could have gotten inside the spacecraft and had a chance of surviving.
However, she refused to leave, leaving her precious husband behind. So, forcing herself to smile, as she watched the Attack Ball rise into the air, she waved at it with her arms, while screaming.
"I'm counting on you! Join Kakarot and form a big family with him."
And she continued to wave at the spacecraft, even as it disappeared into the sky, until the Frieza Supernova hit the planet and pulverized it.
Seeming to enjoy watching Planet Vegeta explode, Frieza was chuckling sadistically.
"Magnificent! It's fantastic! Are you all seeing this magnificent spectacle ? It is without doubt the most beautiful fireworks I have seen in my entire life! HAHAHAHA!"
Silent, Dodoria and Zarbon saw the planet of the dreaded Saiyans explode to dust. And for all of them, the lineage of saiyans had now been eradicated.
Also looking at the destruction of planet Vegeta, Cooler was not far from it, despite the fact that he was forbidden to come to this sector, which belonged to the territory of Frieza. Drinking a glass of wine, he was barely interested in the show, as he said.
"This is the end of the Saiyans."
" Cooler-sama. "
Looking at one of the screens inside the ship, allowing to see the explosion of the planet, with perfect sharpness, Salza saw an object moving away from the place of the explosion and flying at full speed in space.
"I see a attack ball! It is surely a saiyan who managed to leave this planet."
Also in front of the screen, Dore tapped on a dashboard, and managed to establish visual contact with the interior of the ship. Thus, he could see Kakarot, who was now asleep and unaware that his planet had just disappeared.
"It's an baby."
"I don't care. " Salza affirmed. "He must be destroyed. "
" It's not worth it. "
Being more annoyed than concerned by this news, Cooler stated.
"This is none of our business ! Frieza will be forced to face his mistakes, caused by his stupid temper! Anyway, we have no business here! If Frieza ever knows we're here, he'll report it to my father and I should explain myself to him."
Suddenly, a noise was heard and, looking at the radar which was under the screen, Salza was astonished.
"Another attack ball."
And indeed, the quartet aboard the ship could see a second machine fly into space, while it had managed in extremis to leave the planet Vegeta. Looking at it, Cooler felt his anger increase, as this space pod seemed to taunt him, passing by his ship.
"Frieza." He growled, breaking his wine glass. "This fool is really untrustworthy."
Yet, quickly regaining his composure, he laughed, while declaring.
"Knowing this idiot, he will hasten to tell our father that he has eliminated this race of monkey! I can't wait to see his face, if someone tells him that he has failed in this mission that even a child of five would have succeeded.
And so it was that Cooler decided to spare the two babies inside their capsules. But as Kakarot reached Earth, the second spacecraft took a very different path.
4 months later
Finally coming to the end of its journey, the Attack Ball headed for a planet and pierced its atmospheric layer. Continuing on its way for a few moments, it ends up violently hitting the ground, raising a cloud of dust. Having landed in the middle of the jungle, the spacecraft had pulverized many trees, while all the surrounding fauna had rushed away from the impact zone. Crashing noises were heard as a few trees fell to the ground. And it had to wait long minutes before calm returned. Finally, a robotic voice was heard.
"Arrival at destination."
Then, the door of the machine opened. Inside, the baby who was there continued to sleep peacefully. And while her eyes were closed, she didn't hear the few noises that five people made while approaching the space capsule.
Finally, stepping out of the shadows, a blue-skinned woman growled.
"I was sure! It's one of Frieza's army pods."
"Did he send a warrior here to start the invasion of our planet?" Asked a panther-like woman.
"We have to take advantage of him being alone and kill him before he can call for reinforcements." Said a woman with horns and demon tail.
Turning then to two other women, who remained behind the trio, the demoness ordered.
"Return to the village and inform the matriarch of our find! We don't know the power of this stranger! We may need reinforcements to kill him."
"AYE!" The duo assured, before leaving.
Watching them go, the panther woman began to show her claws, while cautiously stepping out of the space capsule.
"If he still hasn't come out, maybe that means he's asleep or the impact knocked him out! Now is the time to kill him."
Thinking she was right, her two companions followed her. Then, discreetly, the panther woman arrived next to the Attack Ball. Taking a deep breath, she stood in front of the pod's opening in an instant, ready to shred anyone she saw. However, she froze at moment she saw the identity of the person inside the craft.
Surprised to see her stop, the blue-skinned woman looking inward, over her shoulder, while showing her surprise.
" A baby ? "
At this moment, yawning, the baby slowly opened her eyes. Then looking around her, without really knowing where she was, she finally saw the three women who looked at her with surprise. Finally, she wiggled her arms and legs, before squealing in amusement.
" A baby ? "
Being over 150 years old, Daira should look like a desiccated mummy ready to die at the slightest touch to her body. Yet, resembling a woman in her forties, she was built all muscle, and had long blonde hair reminiscent of Greek deities.
A few minutes ago, she had been called by two of her sentries, who had warned her that a capsule from Frieza's army had landed near the city where she resided.
However, she had barely had time to gather a few warriors, when she saw three other sentries coming up to her and presenting her with what they had found.
"She was inside the spacecraft." The panther woman said, while presenting her with the baby she was holding in her arms.
"Why was a baby inside the pod?" One of the warriors asked, looking at the child.
Then, seeing the baby's tail, she grumbled.
" A saiyan. "
"Daira-san, what should we do with this child?" The demoness asked.
Just looking at the baby, Daira saw her continue to fidget and continue to squeal in amusement, as she was surrounded by a group of women, all of whom were different from each other.
''How come a saiyan is here? According to our information, planet Vegeta was destroyed four months ago. ''
"Was this baby sent here before this happened? ''
''In that case, we must kill her! If this baby becomes an adult, she will pose a serious threat. ''
''It's true that a good Saiyan is a dead Saiyan. ''
From the tone of some women, it was obvious that hatred was felt. Saiyans were known for their aggression and their lives of murder. Certain women from this city had crossed paths with this race of warriors and had only kept horrible memories of them. They didn't want to stay near a member of this cursed race.
However, to everyone's surprise, Daira made a decision that no one would have believed.
"We're going to keep her."
" What ? "
"Daira-san..." One of her warriors began. "Far be it from me to contradict any of your orders but...you know as well as I how dangerous a saiyan is... even if she is only a baby."
" It is precisely because she will become a powerful warrior that I want to keep her. " Daira affirmed.
Looking at the women around her, she declared.
"We all know that we are not going to live forever in peace! Unlike many peoples, we know the threat that Frieza poses! And if we want to avoid living under his domination, we will have to face him, the day he will come here to rule this place."
Looking at the baby, she affirmed.
"We will make this child our ally and make her a warrior who will help us kill Frieza."
