White soft clouds lazily drifted in the sky, the warm sunlight gracefully enveloping the world, like a loving mother hugging her beloved child. Below the clouds lay a blanket of fresh green grass, swaying in the breeze within the glade of trees as a patch of sunflowers adoringly gazed at the sun, as if returning the warmth their mother gave them. Rabbits hopped around, foraging for food as birds chirped in the sky, soaring elegantly.

As the gentle breeze flowed through the land, brushing past a girl who lay gently on the carpet of grass, unconscious. Her long hair, braided into two halves, each donned with a cute purple bow, lay sprawled on the ground. Sun rays tenderly touched her eyes, closed with slumber, through her red glasses. Her eyes twitching under the blinding sunlight, she slowly awakened from her sleep, opening her eyes drowsily as she lifted her head up. Now sitting on the ground, she took off her glasses, rubbing her drowsy eyes then putting them back on, upon which she realised something.

"...Huh?... Where... am I?"

She was stranded in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but a vast forest stretching endlessly beyond the horizon. As that fact sunk into her mind, anxiety slowly crept in as she began to panic.

"H-huh? W-where am I?!", she shouted in alarm as she stood up, looking around in a confused frenzy, when suddenly, a voice resounded from behind.

"Miss? Are you okay?"

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!", screamed the girl in shock as she instinctively leapt away in fright.

"Oh, uh, sorry there miss, didn't mean to scare you there."

Staring at this awkward brown-haired guy wearing a plain, light emerald green shirt and blue pants a distance away from her, she breathed a sigh of relief. He looked reliable, like an experienced hunter as he carried a bow strung around his body, a quiver of arrows situated behind his back.

"...Um...errr...", she began, her shyness not helping her heart, pounding with anxiety as she struggled to find her words, looking at the ground to avoid eye contact.

"...D-do you...happen to know where am I? And h-how did I even get here? How do I get out of here?!", she asked, raising her head to face him as panic sunk in once again, her eyes, filled with fear, desperate for an answer.

"Alright there, calm down miss, calm down, take some deep breaths.", he said, reaching his hands out to her as he coaxed her.

"But..."

Hesitatingly, she stopped her bombardment of questions, realising it was the best course of action and closed her eyes, slowly taking in a deep breath, her head still swirling in confusion.

"Okay, now, to answer your questions. Unfortunately... I'm as clueless as you are.", he answered, shrugging as he tilted his head.

"Well, you don't seem like a local that's for sure, judging by your outfit, so it's likely you come from somewhere very far, and if that's the case, you might be permanently stuck here.", he said, pointing to her white, long-sleeved coat, lined by a black trim at the edges of the outfit. Her collar, as dark as her hair, made a nice contrast to her white coat, it's white lined edges just above her chest with another larger light-purple seifuku-styled one snuggly tucked underneath the black one, the same colour as her skirt, fluttering in the wind. With black tights covering her legs, purple diamond patterns lining the sides, it gave her an almost gothic look.

"No... that...that... can't be.", she said, despair creeping up to her as she realised without any information, leads or even memories her arrival, she might even be permanently stuck here, forever wandering this unfamiliar territory, seeing how far it stretches of beyond the horizon, mountains dotting the distant scenery. Never again will she be able to see her friends, her family... wait who were her parents? Did she even have friends? Which school did she go to?

Panic began to take control of her head as she frantically dug through her empty void of memories, finding... nothing.

"Well, I suppose you don't remember how you got here, do you?"

"...No... I don't remember... anything...", she spoke, her eyes wide open in shock, discovering the hole in her mind that had been screaming to her all this while.

"Sigh... guess that's all I can do then. By the way, what's your name? Mine's Andrew."

As that question reached into her ears, gears in her mind started turning, lifting up a memory buried beneath the sands of her mind, one the thief was unable to steal, a memory engrained into her very soul.

"...Homura, Homura Akemi."
