Chapter 33: Love Story

Peter is in the tree branch thinking about his wife Susan. He remembered the story on how he and Susan met and fall in love with her, marry her, and have their first child Grace. Banjo see his father-in-law sitting alone.

"Hi Peter, is everything okay?" Banjo asked him.

"Yes." Peter said.

"What are you doing alone?" Banjo asked.

"I am thinking about the memories about how I fall in love with my wife Susan." Peter said.

"Oh. I can leave now." Banjo said.

"You don't have to. You are family. You deserve to know." Peter said. Banjo sit next to him.

"Where would I begin?" Peter asked. He is about to tell his son-in-law the whole story.

Flashback

"It happened when I was a teenager. One morning I was getting grapes to eat. One day there was a female eating grapes which is Susan. She looked at me. She smiled at me and I smiled at her back.

"Hello." Susan greeted the male.

"Hello. What is your name?" Peter asked the female.

"My name is Susan." The female introduced herself.

"My name is Peter." The male introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you Peter." Susan smiled.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too." Peter said.

"What happened next?" Banjo asked.

"We were friends at first because we just met." Peter said.

"I told my parents that I meet a girl. My parents are happy for me but I told them we just met. My parents understand." Peter said.

"You got to know the person first." Banjo said.

"After one week. I decide to ask her on a date." Peter said.

"Really. How did that go?" Banjo asked.

"Susan will you go on a date with me?" Peter asked her.

"Yes I would love to go on a date with you." Susan said.

"So romantic." Banjo said.

"I told my parents and Susan told her parents. We want on a lot of dates. Oh Banjo, she was the beautiful girl that I really like. After our fifth date, I told her my true feelings for her. She loves me too. We had our first kiss." Peter said.

"Awwwwww. That's so cute." Banjo cooed.

"Uh Banjo, I won't say cute. I will say romantic." Peter said.

"Okay continue the story." Banjo said.

"After going on more dates. I decide to pop the question to the love of my life. I asked her will you be my mate for life. She gasped in shock and said yes. We kiss and told our families and of course my sister Jenny. They were happy for us. They throw a party for our engagement. We had our wedding. After the wedding, we wanted a child. I wanted a boy. If it was a boy I will name him Anthony and Susan said if it was a girl she name her Grace. We found out about Susan's pregnancy it was a girl. We were so happy. After a few months Susan was pregnant, I got to take care of her. The egg finally came out. We were looking after the egg. Then that day the egg finally hatch and it was a baby girl. Susan called the baby girl named Grace. I was happy to become a father and Susan was happy to become a mother." Peter explained the story to his son-in-law.

End Of Flashback

"That's how our romance was." Peter said.

"Wow that was a beautiful story." Banjo said.

"I love her. Susan was the perfect mate for me and Grace was my joy. Grace was so young when I lost her during the fire. When she came back, I have to make up of all the times I miss. I wish I protect her when the humans came. She came back to me, it's all thanks to you Banjo. Thank you so much for taking good care of my daughter." Peter said.

"It was literally my pleasure. Grace means everything to me." Banjo said.

"Now let's go back to our families." Peter said.

"Right behind you dad." Banjo said.

Banjo and Peter fly back to the tribe. They arrived at Roberto's hollow.

"Banjo, Daddy. Where you guys been?" Grace asked them.

"I was explaining to my son-in-law the romance story between you and your mother." Peter said.

"Awwwww. I love that story." Grace said.

"Yeah. He told me everything." Banjo said.

"I will let you two have alone time." Peter said as he fly away.
