It has been well over a week. And a few people have left a review saying to go for it. I have also gotten PM's asking for it. But. My morals just won't let me. I am damn near 23 now. 23 in May. Maybe further along in the story. I really don't know. I have tried typing this while heavily under the influence of alcohol and my morals still didn't let me. I am sorry for all who hoped for a lemon involving Happy and Carla. Maybe eventually. So. Normal chapter. Again, sorry. Also! Chapter 23: Rage of an Exceed
Carla led Happy to the Castle. Happy opened the door for Carla. She walked into the castle and Happy walked into the castle behind her as the doors closed behind him. Happy walked upstairs behind Carla. Happy walked into the bedroom and looked at Carla. He took a breath and asked, "I'm hungry. What are we getting?" Carla responded, "Nothing. I will be making it for us." Happy said, "Aw. Thanks Carla. I love you." Carla replied, "Of course Happy! I love you too."
Happy watched Carla's hips sway as she left. He shook his head to clear the impure thoughts. He muttered, "Sorry Carla. I wish I could stay, but something isn't right back at the guild hall. I don't need to rebuild it thanks to the Exceeds, and I appreciate that. But now there's another place to hide members of Fairy Tail and SaberTooth. I need to check it out. And I'd rather risk my life over yours." He wrote a note being as vague as possible about where he was heading. He walked over to the nearby window and opened it. He activated his Aera magic and jumped out of the window. He used his Aera Magic to close the window via a sonic burst of speed. The wind from his magic caused the window to close.
Happy flew towards the Fairy Tail Guild Hall. As he flew he once again apologized to Carla verbally. He said, "I can't apologize mentally or she'll try to stop me. It has to be done." Happy extended all six of his Aera wings. Fire licked up and down his wings as he shot forwards fast as a strike of lightning. As he flew towards the Fairy Tail Guild Hall, he sensed dark and powerful Black Magic. He immediately entered his battle form as he approached the Guild Hall. His jaw dropped in disbelief as he saw a large wooden figure standing next to Magnolia.
Happy muttered, "I fucking knew it. Carla's premonitions have never been wrong yet. How the hell is Lullaby even here?! Fairy Tail destroyed it years ago! Fucking Zeref." Happy took a moment to collect his thoughts and muttered, "I guess it's up to me to finish the job. For good this time." He shot toward Lullaby as he activated a fire shield around his ears to attempt to block out Lullaby's song.
Happy neared Lullaby and summoned a fireball the size of a house in his hand and launched it at Lullaby. As it struck Lullaby, a large explosion was heard that reverberated around Magnolia. Every single house's lights turned on shortly after. Lullaby laughed and said, "I've been waiting for you, Happy! Let my song lull you into your eternal slumber!" Happy closed the gap swiftly, trying to prevent Lullaby from playing its song. Happy growled quietly, "I need to defend Magnolia!" Happy yelled, "HELLFIRE SECRET ART! LUCIFER'S SWORD!" A large sword made of Pure Red Flames appeared in Happy's hand. Happy threw the sword as hard as he could. The sword of fire went right through one of Lullaby's arms. Happy growled, "HELLFIRE SECRET ART! RAIN OF HELLFIRE!" The sky above Lullaby became a fiery orange as fire began to rain down on it.
Lullaby growled in pain and Happy yelled, his voice getting deeper, as he got into the Iced Shell stance, "HELLFIRE FORBIDDEN ART! HELLSCAPE!" Fire surrounded Happy's body as magic power flowed from him into his paws. His entire body became enveloped in fire and his eyes became flame orange. As he unleashed the attack, Magnolia vanished as everything around Happy changed and morphed into lava, perilous cliffs, lava falls, demons flying in the air, and a dark red hazy fog. Lullaby was in a massive lake of lava.
Lullaby screeched in agony as Happy kept his magic going as long as possible. Happy began to shake as his body was out of Magic Energy. He hissed, "Not yet! Take some from tomorrow! KEEP HOLDING IT HAPPY! KEEP IT UP! YOU CAN NOT LET LULLABY PLAY ITS SONG!" Happy managed to get his body under control and growled loudly. Happy watched Lullaby sink into the lake of lava. After Lullaby had sunk halfway into the lake of lava, Happy felt all his strength leave him. He collapsed to the ground and his Hellscape vanished. Happy began to hyperventilate, and he coughed up a large mouthful of blood. Blackness was all he saw. And then he felt as if someone just died. He got to his feet immediately, looking around worriedly.
Carla had found Happy's note and immediately figured out where he was going. She shook her head and said, "Stupid tomcat. He's gonna get himself killed! I gotta get there!" She opened the window Happy used and activated her Aera magic as she became a blur. As she neared Magnolia, she felt an unbearable heat. Her jaw dropped as she saw a massive Hellscape and the giant creature of wood from her premonition sinking in a pool of lava. Carla gulped in fear and said, "Happy called it Lullaby." She then saw the Hellscape slowly vanish. She shot down towards a blue dot and landed gracefully as she ran to Happy's side. She didn't notice the fire shields around his ears as she placed her paws over his body as she said swiftly, "Heavenly Exceed Secret Art! FULL RECOVERY!" A brilliant white light shot from Carla's body as she cast her magic. Lullaby cackled and said, "You seem tired Carla! Here. Let me help you both!" Suddenly, Lullaby began to play its song. Carla covered her ears a second too late and she collapsed.
Happy looked over at Carla's body and gasped in disbelief as tears flowed from his eyes freely. He felt his emotions vacate and be replaced with nothing but a bloodthirsty berserk rage. Happy looked up at Lullaby and said with no emotion, "I, who is the ruler of Hell, shall become the embodiment of destruction and war." Happy's body erupted with magic power and fire began to circle him. Happy continued, "I forsake the innocent, and torture the corrupt!" His body began changing as it grew larger and much more defined. His eyes became pure red. Happy continued, his voice becoming deep and almost demonic, "I shall strike fear in the hearts of all!" Happy's voice boomed as finished the chant and he became a monstrous size, almost taller than Lullaby, "INFERNAL EXCEED CELESTIAL TAKEOVER!" Happy's voice was deep and demonic as he said, "You killed my mate. The price for such an unforgivable sin is your life! I WILL CONSUME YOUR NON-EXISTENT SOUL!" Happy's body immediately got covered by Lucifer's armor and he growled, "Hellfire Secret Art! Lucifer's Sword!" A gargantuan sword of Red Fire appeared in Happy's paw.
In Carla's Mind:
Carla had just finished mating with Happy. She looked at him and said, "By the gods. That was so much better than I could have ever imagined!" Happy smiled and said, "I feel the same." Carla's legs had finally stopped shaking after ten minutes and she excused herself to go take a bath to clean herself up. Happy smacked her ass as she walked away from him and she giggled as she said, "Raring for round two?" Happy laughed and said, "You couldn't handle a second round. The pleasure would make it so you can't move for about a day. Maybe longer." Carla growled seductively and said, "Try me big boy." Happy laughed again and Carla walked into the bathroom and began drawing herself a bath.
Suddenly, she heard an unfamiliar and raspy voice in her head say, 'You need to wake up! Happy is going berserk right now! ONLY YOU CAN TAME THE MONSTER THAT HE RELEASED!' She thought back, 'Ha Ha Happy. Nice job with changing your voice. Calling yourself a monster. Well. Actually. Kind of suits you. At least in the bedroom. You damn near destroyed me!' The voice responded, clearly disgusted, 'I don't need to hear that! You're dreaming currently! You are actually near Magnolia as Happy is fighting Lullaby.' Carla shook her head in disbelief and responded, 'Bullshit! Happy already beat L…' Suddenly her Precognition kicked in.
Carla was back in Magnolia, but she didn't see herself anywhere. She saw a massive red, black, and blue figure kneeling over something made of wood. She saw the unfamiliar figure curb stomp Lullaby's head as black blood shot everywhere. Then the figure turned its attention towards Magnolia. Carla had a feeling who the figure was and she yelled, "HAPPY NO! THAT'S OUR HOME!" The hulking figure turned its attention towards her and took a step towards her.
Carla's precognition faded and the unfamiliar voice thought to her, 'Now do you understand?! You're sleeping Carla!' Carla asked, 'Who the hell are you?! More importantly, how can I hear you?! I thought only Happy could access my thoughts for communication purposes!' The voice responded, 'Who I am is not important nor is the fact that I can communicate with you via your thoughts! YOU NEED TO WAKE UP! Lullaby's song did not kill you!' Carla muttered, "Lullaby's song… Wait. I… I heard Lullaby's song? Than I should be dead!" The bathroom flooded with a brilliant white light as Carla's body felt light as feather, with an intense feeling of magic energy flowing through her. She bit her tongue to prevent making any noise from the intense power flowing through her. She covered her eyes as she was pulled into the source of the light she was seeing.
Back near Magnolia:
Carla shot up immediately and gasped for breath. She looked around and saw a massive red, black, and blue figure fighting Lullaby. She immediately realized who it was and she gasped as Happy swung his massive sword of fire at Lullaby. Lullaby tried to dodge it, but was far too slow. Lullaby's legs were cut off and it screeched in agony. Happy made his sword disappear as Lullaby fell to the ground.
Happy snapped his fingers and Lullaby's severed legs were immediately engulfed in flames. Lullaby howled in pain and began to beg for forgiveness as Happy approached it. Lullaby tried to crawl away, only to get dragged back towards Happy. Happy kneeled down and began striking Lullaby fiercely and ruthlessly. Each strike caused a small earthquake to wreak havoc around him.
Carla took a deep breath and muttered, "I need to evacuate Magnolia. I should go to the Fairy Tail Guild Hall first and see if I can find someone to help me. Then I can focus on calming Happy down. But maybe I can slow him down first." Carla nodded at her plan and her four angelic looking wings appeared as she clasped her hands together. Her body filled with magic power as her eyes became pure white as she said, "Heavenly Exceed Secret Art! LAND OF TRANQUIL RAIN!" The land around Happy and Lullaby glowed bright white as white clouds appeared above the two. As the rain began to fall onto them, both Happy and Lullaby seemed to calm down slightly and begin to relax. Carla watched Happy's attacks become more and more sluggish as time went on.
At the Fairy Tail Guild Hall:
Carla tried to open the entrance to the guild hall and found it was locked. She hissed in annoyance and muttered, "Power Switch!" Carla's body became warm as a fire and she placed her paw on the lock. It melted from the heat of her paw. Carla felt Happy's power leave her. Carla muttered, "So it works for one ability/spell at a time. I wonder what the cooldown is. Wait. Happy has yet to use one of my abilities. I wonder." She opened the door to the guild hall and saw two people tied up in the middle of the dining hall. She ran towards them and recognized Lucy and Mirajane. Carla extended her claws and cut the two loose. Lucy and Mirajane fell to the ground. Mirajane woke up as her body hit the ground and she got to her feet immediately, ready to fight. Mirajane recognized Carla and said calmly, "Oh. It's just you Carla." Mirajane looked around and asked, "Where is everyone? And why is it so peaceful? Normally Natsu and Gray would've started fighting already." Mirajane immediately felt as if something was wrong and she looked around. She gasped as she saw Lucy on the ground next to her and she ran over. Carla said, "Don't fret. She's still alive. But I need your help to evacuate Magnolia. Happy is currently fighting Lullaby."
Mirajane looked shocked and asked, "And where the hell is everyone else?!" Carla said hastily, "I will give you the short version. Both the Fairy Tail and Sabretooth guilds were kidnapped. Only Frosch, Lector, Happy, and myself were left. It turns out we have magic similar to our Dragonslayers, although much more powerful than Dragon Slaying magic. We are currently on a quest to find the kidnapped members of Fairy Tail and Sabretooth. That about sums it up. Now we gotta go before Lullaby plays its song!" Mirajane asked, "What about Happy?!" Carla responded swiftly, "He will be fine! You need to get all of Magnolia out of here!" Lucy came too and looked around. She opened her mouth to ask a question but Mirajane said, "I will fill you in later! We need to evacuate the people of Magnolia!" Lucy got to her feet swiftly and grabbed one of her keys. She swung the key around and said, "Open! Gate of the Maiden, Virgo!" A petite female with pink hair showed up dressed in a maid outfit and asked as she bowed, "How may I help you Princess?" Lucy said, "We need to help evacuate the people of Magnolia ASAP!" Virgo replied, "Right away Princess." Lucy said, "Thank you Virgo." Virgo vanished as she drilled through the ground and began evacuating the people of Magnolia.
Carla turned around and activated her Aera magic. Four angelic-looking wings appeared on her back. Lucy opened her mouth to comment on it, but Carla said, "Yes! I know. Four Angelic looking wings. Sorry to cut this meeting short, but I need to go calm Happy before he destroys all of Magnolia. He currently thinks I am dead. So he's going absolutely Berserk on Lullaby currently." Mirajane said, "That's good though right?" Carla shook her head no and replied, "Absolutely not. It's a mindless rage. After he gets done with Lullaby, he will turn his attention to Magnolia. He thinks I am dead! Oh right. Another story. Damn it! Short version, Happy and I are mates now." Mirajane's and Lucy's jaws dropped and Mirajane said, "W-Wait. You two are mates! When the hell did that happen?! And aren't you both too young to be doing that right now?!"
Carla sighed and said, "No. We aren't. Time flows differently for Exceeds. After the Tenrou Island Incident, I realized that Happy and I had actually aged during it. Meaning we are both thirteen going on fourteen. But that's beside the point. Exceeds become Mature either after they meet their destined mate, or at the age of thirteen. If you wanna get technical, Happy and I began maturing when we met. Which explains a lot now that I think of it. Happy has been trying to get with me since the beginning. And no one noticed he was maturing. I myself have noticed myself becoming even more mature than before." Mirajane nodded in understanding and Carla began to walk towards the Guild Hall entrance. Lucy asked her, "What about you Carla?" Carla responded without looking backward, "I have to hope Happy still recognizes me in his current state. And if he doesn't and he does kill me; I will still love him; as I always will."
Carla left the Guild Hall without saying another word and took to the sky. She flew towards Happy. As Carla landed, she heard Happy say, "It's time to finish this!" She watched Happy curb stomp Lullaby's head. Black blood flew everywhere as Lullaby's head was crushed to bits. Carla took a deep breath to calm herself and she flew upwards. She watched Happy turn his attention towards Magnolia. She yelled, "HAPPY NO! THAT'S OUR HOME!" Happy turned his attention towards her and took a step towards her.
Happy was in a lucid state as he was going berserk. He heard what he thought was Carla's voice and he muttered to himself, "C-Carla? I-It can't be! I watched her die right before my eyes!" Happy raised his voice and yelled, "QUIT TRYING TO TRICK ME WHO OR WHATEVER YOU ARE! LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE! SHE'S FUCKING GONE AND IT'S MY FAULT! I WASN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO TAKE OUT LULLABY BEFORE SHE SHOWED UP! IT'S ALL MY FAULT!"
Carla watched a large red magic circle appear over Happy and she suddenly felt knowledge hit her. She immediately knew that is what would allow her to calm Happy down, or die trying. She flew down to the ground and began to say the words that hit her, "I, who is the ruler of Heaven, shall become the embodiment of Creation and Peace." Carla's body erupted with magic power and light began to circle her body. She continued, "I guide the weak, and forgive corruption." Her body began changing as it grew larger and much more defined. Her eyes became pure white. Carla's voice became almost angelic and holy as she continued, "I shall become the one that understands everyone." Carla's body grew to a monstrous size, almost the same height as Happy as she finished, "HEAVENLY EXCEED CELESTIAL TAKEOVER!"
Carla yelled, "HAPPY! I NEED YOU TO HEAR ME! DON'T MAKE ME DO THIS! PLEASE! I NEED YOU TO HEAR ME YOU STUPID TOMCAT!" Carla clasped her hands together as she said, "Heavenly Exceed, Five Layer Magic Circle; MARCH OF FORGIVENESS!" A massive five layer white magic circle appeared below Carla as the area around both Happy and Carla became covered in what appeared to be priests and nuns. The priests and nuns walked towards Happy all saying that he can be forgiven. Happy's movements slowed drastically. Happy growled and a large red magic circle appeared above him. He growled, "Hellfire Secret Art, HELL'S RETRIEVER!" A tomahawk made of fire began sweeping through the priests and nuns, slicing them in half. The tomahawk flew back to Happy and he caught it. It vanished shortly thereafter.
Carla gasped and said, "It can't be! That should've caused him to break down and ask for forgiveness! All it did was slow him down! Damn it!" Blood covered the land and Carla made several hand signals as she said, "Heavenly Exceed, Four Layer Magic Circle, BLINDING EXPLOSION!" A massive four-layer magic circle appeared below Carla as a massive white orb shot from Carla's hands and hit Happy square in the chest. As it connected, a massive BOOM resounded around Magnolia as Happy got flash banged. Carla used this to get closer and tackled Happy to the ground. As the two hit the ground, the ground around them began to shake as if a large earthquake had happened.
Carla pinned Happy to the ground. Happy fought against her and tried to push her off of him. Carla yelled, "I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE HAPPY! LISTEN TO MY VOICE! COME BACK TO ME PLEASE! I LOVE YOU! I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU SO SOON AFTER WE CONFESSED! I WANNA GROW OLD WITH YOU! I WANNA BE WITH YOU AND NO ONE BUT YOU! PLEASE, I NEED YOU TO COME BACK TO ME! I AM NOT DEAD!" Carla's eyes began to water, fearing she was going to lose Happy forever.
Happy once again heard Carla's voice. He growled and yelled, "GET OUT OF MY HEAD! SHE'S GONE! SHE IS GONE! I FAILED TO PROTECT THE ONE I LOVE MOST! I AM A FAILURE! I AM WEAK!" Suddenly, Happy felt something wet hit his face. He came to his senses slightly as he was able to see clearly through his eyes. A massive white figure was on top of him, keeping him pinned as it pleaded with him to come back to it. Tears were flowing freely from its eyes. He heard the figure say, "Please. Come back to me, Happy! I need you in my life!" He immediately recognized the voice even though it sounded holy and angelic. He muttered, "C-Carla?"
Carla let her tears flow freely. Her grip on Happy's arms weakened. She tried to strengthen her grip, but it was too late. She prepared for the worst only to feel Happy's arms wrap around her. Carla wiped her tears away and saw tears in Happy's eyes. Happy hugged her tighter and whispered, "I-It really is you. H-How? I watched you die!" Carla sighed with relief and answered, "I don't know Happy. I am happy you came back to me. I feared the worst." Happy laughed weakly and said, "You almost did lose me. But you brought me back. Thank you, Carla." Carla beamed and got off of Happy. Happy sat up slowly and looked around. He asked, "What the hell happened? And why are we both massive?" Carla responded honestly, "I haven't a clue. I just said a chant that came to me and I grew to this size. I am assuming the same happened to you."
Happy asked, "And how in the world do we get back to our normal size?" Carla shrugged her shoulders and said, "Only thing I know is that it's Takeover Magic. So maybe let the Takeover go." Carla focused on the magic she was using and released it. She slowly began to shrink back down to her normal size. Happy did the same.
As both Happy and Carla became their normal size, Happy coughed up several large mouthfuls of blood and blacked out. All he heard was Carla yelling, "HAPPY NO!"
Well. I know it's been a fucking minute eh? Sorry for the almost 2 year wait. But I have seen the reviews of people asking for an update. So here it is! Don't worry.
