2nd round of Tournament of Terrawr… Please just kill me… I hate writing as Terra!

Location: Labradorra City

The tournament of Terrawr was underway. Most five matches had already ended. Percival, Lucille, Nero, and Cal met up at a path point. The hall was leading down further into the Gym.

Cal and Percival shared their concerns as they realized everyone who lost was getting deleted. While Nero and Lucille shared a look, they understood the end goal of this damned tournament. As such, they now needed to prepare to play their roles.

As they proceeded further, they reached another room, similar to the entrance of the Labradorra gym. It had blank walls of reddish purple and purple tiled floors, and there was no way forward. Aside from that, Charlotte and Saphira were there, seemingly expecting the company.

"Oh, you're finally out." Charlotte rolled her eyes before landing a glare at Nero. "Of course, you were lucky to survive."

"Sorry?" Cal tilted his head to the side, taking Charlotte's words as she hoped Cal and Nero would lose their fight.

"We expected you guys to be the winners anyway." Saphira cut the subject short, looking to Percival and Lucille as well. Saphira's rage still burned but was currently in check due to the complexity of the tournament.

"Yeah, those girls were cute, and that other guy was alone; let's be real," Charlotte said, her voice blunt and harsh. "They were never going to win."

"I'm assuming you two had the same thing happen after-" Percival tried asking if they encountered the same deletion thing but was interrupted.

"OI!" Hardy burst into the room; his eyes were wide in surprise. "You guys see what happened?! It was the same for you all, too, right?!"
"All flicker, no ticker?" Charlotte asked, already knowing the answer.

"The former members of ZEL are now frozen holograms," Nero said, annoyed thoroughly with Terra's antics. It's one thing to delete someone, but to prevent their name from being spoken… wasn't that too much?

"Yea!" Hardy nodded as he realized they were dealing with the same thing. "Can we do something?!"

"There's nothing to do." Charlotte apparently heard from Terra that there was no way to un-delete someone. "I jumped straight through S% l!&. No response, no anything. Kinda shocked me, though. Whether that's metaphorically or literally is up to you."

"Weren't you partnered with Radomus? How is he?" Percival looked at hardy with concerned eyes… Just recently, Radomus found his long-lost son. Now for this…

"He hung back to talk to #$e." Hardy flinched, not used to the fact that someone's name could no longer be spoken. "Made him promise not to be too long, though, so no sweat about that."

"I'm not sure that's the main reason we're sweating this right now," Cal said with a sigh. This was a very sadistic tournament.

"Another concern: There's no exits from this area either." Saphira said while everyone knew a "yet" was attached to that sentence. It seemed this tournament was far from over. And every loser would be deleted.

""..."" Nero and Lucille were silent. If anyone were truly dead, they'd be the first to know. But if they tried… or succeeded in letting everyone know what was going on. Who knows what Terra would actually do to the losers of the tournament? It was for the best that this topic was hopefully ignored.

"Then what are we supposed to do?!"

"Start by not asking stupid questions." Saphira huffed. "There is no "supposed to" in this situation. Don't act like this is a prewritten scenario with a scripted, guaranteed outcome. Decide what you want to do, and do it. That's all there is to it."

"I already know what I wanna do," Hardy said resolutely. "I wanna save Aya!"

"And just how do you plan to do that?" Saphira asked.

"I'll take down everyone in Team Meteor!" Hardy spoke, clearly not taking into the fact that he was currently trapped.

"That's nice, but nobody still with Team Meteor is even here right now since we can't find or get to Cuckoo McAnnouncerFace." Charlotte answered sarcastically. "So, are you going to mow us all down just to get out of here and save your precious damsel? Is she really worth that much more to you than all of us are? I'm almost hurt."

"Oi, lass, it ain't like that." Hardy said he didn't want to hurt his friends… "I made a promise that I'd save her, and I'mma stick to it no matter what! If you got a better solution, let's hear it!"

"A better solution?" Charlotte laughed sardonicly. "Sure, I've got a better solution. How about my sis and I just beat you all and move on with it? As long as we're together, none of you stand a chance. Frankly, it's not our business to decide what happens to you. Saphira's more than capable of taking Team Meteor apart herself. And I just gotta be there to see it."

"You sure you won't eat those words?" Nero laughed himself; he didn't know Terra that much. But he's instinctively understood the goal of this damned tournament. If he had a better guess of what the next matches would be… well, he'd be damned. But so would Charlotte.

"Maybe if you make me." Charlotte glared, her teeth clenching, her eyes screamed she wanted to rip out Nero's throat.

"Who says I have to?" Nero retorted. "I'm sure Terra will have more than enough fun doing so."

"Stop this, you two!" Percival stood between Nero and Charlotte, raising his hands. "Don't you see Terra wants this type of reaction?"

""Tch."" Both Nero and Charlotte clicked their teeth in response before glaring at each other again.

"*sigh*" Percival could only shake his head…

"Maybe it would be better to calm down before we get into all this?" Cal asked the room. Burning on anger wasn't going to get anyone anywhere.

Everyone heard footsteps from the hall before Chalotte or Nero could retort. This revealed Florinia and Titiania, so it was clear they had won against Julia and Amaria. But given the sour look on Titania's face, she was not happy that she had won.

However, Charlotte took this chance to pour more oil onto the fire. "Oh, so it was you two after all. And I thought it was gonna be the others. Guess you win."

"You can keep your opinions to yourself." Titania's voice was steady, but dripping with anger.

"You bitter? Or was that your version of a polite greeting? It's so hard to tell with you." Charlotte smiled as she continued to taunt. "No wonder your girlfriend got the wrong idea."

"Ex."

"Yeah, I guess someone who was just reduced to a static image would only qualify as an ex, huh?"

"And I thought Nero knew how to get under everyone's skin…" Percival sighed as he rubbed the arch of his nose.

"Oh, there's a reason Charlotte and I got into a fistfight in the orphanage," Nero added nonchalantly.

"Were you always this catty?" Hardy felt he had to ask, as he'd never seen Charlotte act like this.

"Pretty much, I had a reason to at least play nice before. But now?" Charlotte said in a tone like she didn't care. However, she was getting bored, as it was about time for someone to say something, as just about everyone was here. "Hey, crazy lady in the shell, you're still listening right?"

"YOSUP, da's right, I'm 4LLLLLLLL weighs watching," Tera said, screens showing the previous battlefields popping up on the wall. And even the original entrance hall. "Like Sandy Clause. or ceiling cat. my m1ddle name is "sees u when ur fappin'"."

"Yeah, yeah, I'm getting bored," Charlotte said as she pointed to the people behind her. "Can we keep going already?"

"CAN WE?!" Terra screamed like a child who was given permission to open her birthday presents. Like she wasn't the one who had everyone trapped here. "gee whilikierzz, that's like asking if water is wet! if p1kachu is an electr1c type! if t1ttyania's und3rw3ar drawer only has chastity b3lts!"

Titania only sighed at the supposed insult towards her character. "You done yet?"

"nnnnnn, juzt a lil' longer, miztrezz…" Terra moaned as if pleasure from Titania's stare of disdain. "BUT OF C0000000000URSE WE CAN KEEP GOING. THE POWER OF CLOSED CIRCLES COMPELS YOU! bet u feelin' so compelled right now so compelled wild pokemon won't come near u ayyy lmao"

"You're… thinking of a Repel." Cal corrected.

"so compelled you're being l4unched forward by a spinning moti0n ayyyy lmao"

Florinia corrected this time. "The aforementioned denotation remains in reference to the verb "propel"."

"so compelled you gon' d3scend a rock face using basic but effect1ve safety gear ayyyyy lmao"

The rock climber, Hardy, responded this time. "That one's "to rappel"?"

"so c0mpelled you an unconsolidated sed1ment rich in bituminous JUNK an' primarily made of algae and dec0mp0sed fungi ayyyyyy lmao"

"..." This one seemed to have everyone stumped; even Florinia seemed to be thinking what word this definition belonged to.

"That would be "sapropel"." Radomus finally entered the room, just in time to answer Terra's definition.
"sheeit." Terra seemingly finally ran out of definitions of words that rhymed with compel.

"I hope I haven't kept anyone waiting," Radomus said as he walked forward.

"MY LOVE! BUT FORS00tH, NARY HAD I WA1TED HERE, 30N up0N EON FOR youwu, MY TRU3 LOVE TO RETURN." Terra spoke in an overly dramatic voice, "howz my gardevoir impression eh? ehhh?"

"I'm afraid I haven't heard one, so I can hardly evaluate it." Radomus said to Terra, her impression wasn't even worth calling it one. "But surely we aren't here for party tricks and comedy."

"yea but u still comic relief tho."

"Pot calling Kettle!"

"Have you looked in a mirror lately?"

"NO! I HAVEN't!" Terra screamed. "BECAUSE I'M MADE OF D1G1T4L. AND NOT OF POTS. RAWWWWWWWRRRRRRRR! but dat means i ain' got cramps no more so B00Y4H B1TCH. NOT ZA P0INT. dis za po1int: . ooooooo so pointy. NAO THAT EVERYPONY IS HERE, IT's T1111ME TO D- D- D- D- D- D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D- D'ANNOUNCE TH3 N3XT ROUND. purrrrrliese churn yo attention to the screen in the middle of da screen."

The wall lit up with everyone's faces, with lines showing who was facing who… though simply put. Everyone was now…

"We're…" Cal shuddered, seeing a line between his face and Nero's. In the next round, Cal would fight Nero, but from the looks of the other matches, "fighting our partners from the last round?"

"YOOOOOOOU GOT IT, D00D." Terra cheered with glee what an unexpected turn of events.

"You said this was a doubles tournament." Saphira glared at the tournament brackets. Saphira, for her life, would never want to hurt any of her sisters.

"uh, ya?" Terra liked the drama she was causing. "NOW IT's A DOUBLE-CROSSING TOURNAMENT. D1NG D1NG D1NG RAWWWWWRRRRR!"

"Understood." Florinia accepted the results of this matchup and readied for the upcoming fight against Titania

"..." Titania wasn't happy about the matchups but didn't say anything.

"Well, shit." Charlotte just cursed; Nero was right. Terra would make Charlotte eat her words.

"ye, where yo tuff talkk at now, h0meslice?" Terra taunted.

"Yeah, you got me. Truly, I could not be any more gotten than I am right now." Before Charlotte laughed, "As if, this just means I'll be counting on Saphira to KO everyone herself instead of with my help. Right?"

"..." Saphira didn't respond.

"So then it's you and me, old man," Hardy said to Radomus. They made pretty good teammates, so seeing them fall here was a sorry sight.

"I may be the oldest one here, but I assure you, I am as young at heart as any of you."

"tell it to the c0urtszz, buddy"

"So, uh…" Cal called attention to himself. "I guess only one of us is coming out of this after all."

"W3LL D0N'T JUST STAND THERE AND MOPE ABOUT IT, F0LKARONIS. TH3SE B4TTLES AIN'T GONNA FIGHT THEMSELVES. that'd be kewl tho."

Nero laughed, but his eyes weren't shining. "Yeah, nothing better than killing your loved ones, huh?"

"Shut it." Charlotte took that as a jab at her. Even though she's been told the fire that killed her parents wasn't her fault. "Even if it ain't Candle over there. I'm sure you're sure to have your uncomfortable demise against who, I wonder? Percival, or your own sister?"

"Oi, oi! You don't gotta go at him like that." Hardy said, trying to calm the two. "We still gotta fight to hang in there!"

"Hello?" Charlotte pointed at her sister. "You know who I'm up against? All I can do is resign, like, three times over. Same with all of you in the end, unless you find another exit. Or make one."

"But these walls don't so much as dent." Saphira seemed as angry as she was resigned. "We tried."

"dese walls be stronger than st33l, 3v3n back when it st1ll resisted psych and gh000st." Terra added over the phone. "b4lance te4m a chunky th0t. but rly, you can't break th0se cuffs. they mistrezz's bezzzzt. jus' ask her. if she were in dis bitch. but she ain'. d33ts tho ain' no th4444444444444ng na0, who w4nts to lizz'n to my x nanu fanfic?"

And at that note everyone decided to head to the battlefields before anyone got too deep into that awful fanfic.

"W3LCOME, LEDYBA, GENTLEMUK, 4ND NONBINACLE IDENTIFYING IND1VIDUALS, TO THE NEXT ROUND OF THE LABRADORRA GRAND T0URNAMENT OF that g00000d c00ch. THE WHEEL OF FATE IS TURNING! REBEL 2, FAITO!" Terra's voice sounded, but she was currently focused on the first match of round two. "FOUR 0UR 1st ROUND 0F THE M4TCH, THE FLAMING FIST OF CHILD ABUSE,"

"..." Cal was silent, not saying a word in response to Terra's insult.

"FAC3S OFF AG4INST… S4VE SCUM MCGEE!"

"?" While Nero should've been offended by the term save scum. Nero had never played a video game and did not know what that insult meant. How it insulted Nero by his constant use and abuse of Absol's ability to peer into the future. Regardless, Nero did not know that.

"Well… it's been a good run, I guess." Cal sighed; of all people, he knew he'd never win against Nero. "This might be a little silly, but… Nero, I feel like I've managed to understand, even if it was just a bit."

"Oh, shut it with the sappy words; we both know we ain't that close. Or worse yet, you'll make Terra read more fanfiction." Nero said, unperturbed. His silver eyes were cold but calculating… How should he go about this? When would Terra least expect him to make a move?... Or how about when it would be most expected? "Don't worry. I'll make Terra regret every action she made here today. One way or another."

"AAAAND FOR 0UR 4rd ROUND 0F THE M4TCH, UP IN THE RAWRRRRRRENA!" On the stage where Percival and Lucille were standing, the arena was painted white, churchbells were ringing for one reason or another… and there was a wedding cake. "IT'S C0UPLE'S THER4PY! TH3 BRE4K UP B0NANZA! A DIV0RCE COURT COMB4T CONT3NTION!"

"Are we always going to be defaulted as thought as a couple?" Lucille questioned… what type of romantic situations have either of them been in?

"Well… the offer I made when we first met still stands." Percival countered with a smile, recalling the day they first met. And Percival's joking proposal.

"Again… I'll have to catch a Lunala first," Lucille responded with a sharp retort. Which, despite the circumstances, did make the two flashes a smile.

"PERCIVAL AND LUCILLE WHITEHALL F4CE OFF FOR A FINAL SEP4RATION STRUGGLE!" And the church bells stopped, and sad music started to play in the background. "sadly... ;-; only one of them can walk away from this sordid love affair Q-Q who will it be?! T_T"

"..." There was no retort from either Lucille or Percival. They both felt it would be better if she were just ignored.

"4H3M!" Terra cleared her digital throat… they could react one way or another. "W1THOUT FURTHER ADOOO! I BLESS3TH THEE WITHEST THOU'ST HOLIEST OF F1ELDETHS."

"Not particularly favorable for my team, I see." Lucille sighed. Of the team she brought to fight Percival, only one of her Pokémon benefited from the Holy Field, while at least two of her pokémon were hindered by it.

Percival bit his lip despite being at the advantage. The Holy Field really helped him a lot. It would boost any and all fair and psychic moves, which most of his team had. Did he have it in him to take down Lucille? "..."

"Hey, don't look at me like that!" Lucille called out to him; despite the situation, she smiled brightly. "We'll get out of this. Besides, I've already "Died" once; what's another to the score?"

"..." Percival took a deep breath; he had to believe in Lucille's words that they would get out of this. Just like they always did. Through each battle against Meteor, each struggle, each day. "What are we waiting for then?"

And in the next moment, the two threw out a Poké Ball, the spheres colliding with each other in the air. They bounced back, releasing Pokémon; coincidentally, both Poké Balls released flower Pokémon. On Percival's side was a tall fairy with green petals on its legs and white flowers sprouting around its head, Aceae, a Florges that Percival caught as a Flabébé on his travels. While Lucille released the rose flower Pokémon, a Pokémon that she hatched from an egg on her travels to Reborn, Deme, a fully bloomed Roserade.

"Deme, Sludge Bomb!" Lucille shouted as Deme Danced with her flowers, purplish goo seeping from the petals as they launched into a toxic bomb at the Florges

"Flor…" Aceae grumbled as it got soaked and hurt by the poison.

"Aceae fight back with Psychic!" Percival commanded, and the white petals around Aceae's neck glowed pink as it sent psychic shockwaves back into Deme. The boosting power of the Holy Field easily took out Lucille's Roserade.

"Good job, Deme." Lucille kept up her bright smile as she recalled her first pokémon. "Livia, take down."
With a click of the next Pokeball, a giant blue and grey serpent came rushing out straight into Aceae with full force. The three-pronged crown showed that this Gyarados wasn't going to back down.

"Aceae, return. Livia… Well, Phoebe, I believe you have this!" Percival responded to Livia's appearance with a Serpent of his own. A long Tanish serpent appeared with long pink antenna. "Freeze them cold, Blizard!"

"Mii!" Phoebe cried, unleashing a torrent of ice-cold snow and ice into Livia.

"Gy…" The Gyarados resisted the first wave of ice and snow, diving back for another takedown at the Milotic to try to take it out.

Though Pheobe coiled up to take the hit, before unleashing another outburst of winter. This time, freezing Livia solid.

"Livia, you did well. You certainly won't make this easy, huh?"

"Certainly won't."

"Well, just what I'd expect from yo,u Percy." Lucille smiled, "Theros, it's your time to fight."

"Ches!" A giant light grey hedgehog came to the field with long arms and a chestnut-like exterior. This was a Chesnaught, the chespin that Lucille originally picked up from the Starter Room in the Grand Hall.

"Seed Bomb!" Lucille commanded, and Theros' arms glowed green before releasing a barrage of seed-like bombs into Pheobe.

"Miii…" Phoebe tried to resist the onslaught but fell to her grass-type weakness.

"Theros… Wasn't the first lesson you learned with him not to fight fire with Grass types?" Percival said, returning Pheboe to her Pokeball, and sending out a tall orange fox with a wooden wand. "Oracle, Flamethrower!"

"Del!" The Delphox cried as she blew into the flame at the end of the wand—Engulfing Theros in fire.

"Gah… Well, not much to do other than this. Well, Apollo, it's your time to shine." Lucille said as she released a green Gallade to the Holy Field. It was likely her only Pokémon that could benefit from the field… yet that wasn't much help when facing a PSychic type. Lucille made a motion to touch a rainbow-colored stone on her wrist. Lights encircled her Gallade. "Night slash."

"Delp?" It was a blink of an eye as the Gallade transformed and slashed down with dark energy across
"Well… that's a surprise." Percival blinked in surprise at the appearance of a Mega Gallade. Though Percival smirked, readying his next pokémon, the counterpart to Galllade. As the Gardevoir with blue and a star-covered dress hit the floor, Percival clicked his Megastore as well. "Artemis!"

"Gardevoir!" Artemis cheered as she mega-evolved, the dress pooff out as Artemis readied her voice. And unleashed a mighty sonic boom with her voice.

"Oh no, you don't! Apollo, Nighslash once more!" Lucille ordered, and the galled moved with its bladed arms. Slashing once more, but the sonic boom boosted by the pixilate ability and even the Holy field… Apollo wasn't able to take the hit. "Ooh… that's not good."
"Nice work, Artemis." Percival smiled, and while Artemis took a heavy hit she could still do more.

"(Well… I… no, if I don't save Hope for last, Terra would surely get suspicious. To think deceiving her meant deceiving my friends.)" Lucille sighed. "Okay, Ark, you're one."

"Vally." A mechanical, organic beast hit the floor; a sharp axe head shifted, releasing black tendrils from its head while its lower body glowed green. It was Lucille's Silvally, and for whatever reason, this Holy Field would not allow Ark to remain anything other than a Dark-type. Perhaps it was the sin of being a false image of god.

"Um… Hello there." Percival blinked; he still had yet to hear about Ark. So Percival's first meeting with a Silvally was quite a spectacle. "Um… Artemis, would you be so kind?""

"Voir." Artemis nodded her head in agreement; surprisingly, this would be the second time Artemis had felled a false god. The first was Elias' Ditto, which transformed into an Arceus. And now it would be Ark. Artemis' eyes gleamed as she let out another powerful burst of her voice.

"...yeah, figured as much." Lucille sighed as she recalled Ark to its Pokeball. Lucille had saved the best pokémon for last. "But time for the comeback, can't just let this be a 3-6 sweep. Less I can surrender, can I?"

"N0!" Terra sounded on the microphone, indicating she didn't care how hopeless Lucille's situation was. The battle would continue to the full.

"Well… guess that's that." Lucille sighed but still smiled bravely as she released her final pokémon—a white four-legged creature with a long black horn and red eyes. Hope, Lucille's Absol, her partner, marked her. "Hope, Sucker punch!"

"Aroo!" Hope howled as her hind legs kicked the ground, going diagonal and kicking off the field twice before landing behind Artemis. Spotting an opening, Hope slashed down onto Artemis, knocking her out.

"Artemis!" Percival called. This had all happened in the blink of an eye. Percival could only watch as the Absol nimbly moved around. "Okay, then, Steel. It's your time to shine."

"Meta!" Cried out the hulking blue metal creature with four legs and a giant silver x across it's face.

"I really don't see Steel winning here, Percy. I believe Hope agrees." Lucille smirked, her silver eyes flashing blue like Hope's. Meanwhile, the black horn of Hope crackled with dark energy.

"Steel! Hamer Arm!" Percival commanded, and Steel tried to swipe at Hope. But ultimately missed as Hope predicted Steel's movements.

"Sol." Hope said confidently as she scrapped her horn across the blue metal.

"Mm…" Steel groaned as it absorbed the heavy hit and, in response, shot its rightmost leg out in a bullet punch, just barely managing to collide with Hope this time.

"Ah, Hope!" Lucille called to Hope; their eyes met before flashing blue. "Well, Night slash once more."

"Sol." Hope kicked off again, bringing another slash of dark energy across Steel's metal skin, taking the hulking creature down.

"5-6, just one more huh?" Lucille called out to Percival as he went down to his last Pokémon. "I'm pretty sure it's Vee, right?"

"..." Percival could only sigh as Lucille guessed it correctly. If not for the life-or-"death" struggle, Percival would consider it a fun battle. His mind continually tried to process the best way to take down Hope. How could he compete against someone who knew his next move?

"Leaf!" Vee cried as she hit the Holy Field. Her green leaves swayed as she locked eyes with Hope.

"Well, do your best Vee. Leafblade!"

"Hope, go!"

The two creatures ran at each other, horn crossing leaf. Clashing each time, it seemed as though the two creatures were equally matched. But even still, Hope had impressive power, power that Vee couldn't easily match.

"Le…" In the last clash, Vee got knocked back, but she quickly rushed back. Her leaf glowed green for her next strike, but her paw missed the ground, knocking her slightly off balance… A big opening that Hope would surely take advantage of.

"Sol!" But that wasn't the outcome.

"Hope!" Lucille cried; Vee and Percival looked in shock, the leaf blade connected with Hope. Taking out Lucille's final Pokémon. "You did wonderful, girl. Brilliant job."

"..." Percival was perplexed… Hope's final movements were strange; there's no way Vee would have connected that last strike. Not unless… Hope intentionally got hit.

"Guess, that's it." Lucille smiled brightly as she recalled Hope into her Pokeball.

"AAAAND OUR MATCH C0NCLUDES WITH PERCIVAL AS THE WINNER! W000000!"

"Percival," Lucille called to him, her smile beaming. "I'm counting on you. You've got this. I know you-"

And Lucille became pixelated as Terra's Deletion occurred. "OKAY MOTIVATIONA SPEECH AND ALL, BUT WE GOT MORE BATTLE YET TO FIGHT!"

"..." Percival was silent; he now understood, well, at least somewhat. Whatever this deleting was, it wasn't killing anyone… but there was nothing to say about what happened to them. However, there was likely a way to reverse it, and Lucille believed that Percival could find a way to do it.
