Sonic's Spark: Chapter 4: Autumn Leaves, Winter Chills
Sonic loved nothing more than moving around at the speed of sound and adventures with his friends. So, understandably, sitting around waiting for a princess of some sort wasn't anything he liked particularly. It's not that the hedgehog wasn't patient; he'd been practising that with Tails for a long time, and he was getting better. It was a matter of preference.
Olaf had dropped him off here, and had gone to search for the queen. Still holding Bruni in his hand, he was petting the lizard for quite a while. The lizard was extremely liking this attention, and made the most of it. Sonic couldn't help but feel sad about leaving this creature behind. It seemed to be quite a friendly pet.
But, then again, a fiery pet probably would cause havoc back home.
As he thought about asking Tails to make a fireproof suit for Bruni, so he'd only do it around… he couldn't remember the person's name, still, but the evil guy, somebody walked into the room.
Sonic really wasn't too shocked. She looked practically ordinary, though there were a few odd features of her. Her hair, for instance, was completely white, hanging down from her head, and her dress was also white, and snowflakes seemed to be etched into them. A small, transparent cape was flowing from her back, but aside from that, the only thing he was thinking was, quite flashy, don'tcha think?
She sat down in a chair opposite him. The lizard jumped off his arm and ran to the woman. She did something strange, and dropped what seemed to be snow in Bruni. It melted away quite quickly due to his heat. The woman opened her mouth to speak, but Sonic beat her to it.
"You have ice magic? Never seen a human who even has magic before, but then again…" Sonic shrugged. "So, you're this Elsa person I've been hearing about?"
Elsa smiled. "Yes, I am. And you are…?"
Sonic got off his chair and said, jauntily, "Sonic the Hedgehog, fastest thing alive." He dashed across the room, to prove his point, and was back in his spot within the second. He stuck out his hand, which she shook gently, still in shock.
"I've never seen you around here…" she said
"Yet I've heard all about you!" She raised an eyebrow, and Sonic explained, "There's this snowman that doesn't stop talking. He brought me here. And he said you could help me…?"
The woman laughed. "Oh, you mean Olaf. So I suppose you're that hedgehog…"
"Yep! So let's get our stories straight…" And so, as quickly, yet with as much detail as possible, he explained how he wound up here, and in turn, Elsa explained who she was and her story and background.
She also explained who the lizard was, which did astound Sonic. "A fire spirit? That's cute," he said, scratching his chin. "And you're the fifth spirit. Don't know what that feels like. I kinda wanna…" He looked down at his gloves. "... right."
Sonic sighed. All he could think about right now was how to get back home. "Look, as much as I'd love to stay around and chat," which Sonic did mean, to a certain extent, "I gotta get back home." So the two of them thought for a few seconds silently, hoping to stumble upon something they hadn't thought of. That was before his hands started vibrating.
Silver's message popped up, which further clarified and agreed with everything the blue blur had said, even if it was quite rapid. And then after a bit more explaining about technology and its wonders, Elsa had an idea.
"If you went onto the castle's roof, would that be tall enough?" she asked.
"I need to be just above the clouds… Hold on…" Sonic remembered his powers. Maybe the ice trail might just about help him… "Actually, I think that'd be enough."
And so, that was how Sonic ended up on the roof, spiralling up to the sky. As he looked down on the leafy land, he sighed. It was so big, and as much fun as it was running around, he couldn't stay. He gazed down at the roofs of the houses, the cluttered streets, filled with children, and the rapidly greying land across the mountains. Sonic frowned. What was going on? In fact, they were turning from their grey colour to a pure white as well. He had a reason to stay and find out, and was about to jump off to do exactly that.
But then he disappeared in a flash of light.
And now, here he was, hurling down the tube. Something big was going on, and he needed to warn everyone about this. The threads of red and yellow ran alongside him, crackling, filled with energy, just like him. He was gliding just like Knuckles, and his mind felt relieved of all stress for a small time.
He remembered everything now. Eggman. How could he forget his greatest nemesis? Eggman! His head was catching up on every impossibly unforgettable moment that he'd lost, and felt some shame at remembering them too late. Never mind, he thought. It wasn't the end of the world.
But it possibly could be soon, he finished in his head.
A/N: I'm back, guys! Thanks for waiting! The draft is finished and the final chapters will be uploaded periodically onto FanFic. I have a rough roadmap that I will post soon to show you what lies ahead, but thank you all for being here, even the critical people. I've had to take a story off and review it, but it will be published one way or another, as it has been put into a community without any conversation to me.
But rest assured; I am taking this seriously, and will fix the issue so you all can enjoy what was to be published.
