Chapter 13

After watching the whole thing, the Olympians looked at each other, their eyes moving from one another as they watched and Annabeth's helpless face when she realised that she was too late. they knew that it wasn't her fault and not a single one blamed her, but that whole thing did make them think this person has managed to keep Percy somewhere when not a single one of them could trace. They were immortals for Christ's sake. Why couldn't they trace her obviously the man being mortal was completely cast . No, he wouldn't have been able to get Percy that quickly even if he was a Demigod Annabeth was right there and would have seen him. Then he had to be an immortal. That fact alone made everyone worry more , if this person was immortal , they knew that the olympians were looking for her. Which then meant they had to be incredibly careful with their next steps. Aphrodite cleared her throat and said something that made them all question the guy's motives.

"I was talking to Eros the other day about this. He mentioned something," her words were clear but carefully calculated, "He said what if this guy is in love with Percy?" The room fell silent even more silent than it had been before.

"What" said Artemis "You think he's in love with her?"

"I don't" said Aphrodite, her words coming out sharper than she expected, " Eros said he wouldn't blame the guy. Considering Percy is not only the world's greatest hero, but also is remarkably that be a reason that he's taken her."

Ares hated that thought if this guy was in love with percy, who would treat someone that they loved so cruelly? Percy was basically a jewel, a rare jewel and this guy knows that. Hang on, when did Ares start? Thinking that he granted, he did know that Percy Jackson was one of a kind but how could he think that she was a rare jewel? The anger that was flooding through him was infuriating. He couldn't figure out why the absolute hell he was feeling this way. He never particularly liked the young demigod granted he grew to respect her as many did, but never has he felt so compelled to protect her in his life. As he was there pondering what Aphrodite had said all of a sudden a sharp pain in his chest. The same one as before but this time it was harder and more painful like someone drawn their sword and ran him through with it. He had caught the attention of everyone in the room as he groaned in pain. Everyone looked him eyes wide Apollo, practically flew towards him.

"You alright," Ares drew in a breath and looked at his younger brother, granted it was strange for all his siblings even his father and mother showed that they cared for him. Percys doing yet again perhaps that was the reason he is growing to actually like her as a person. She's made his family except him. He looked at his younger brother. "Yeah, just chest pain"

"Again." Asked Hermes from across the room.

"Yeah"

"I've no idea why, though it's weird."said Apollo

"Thank you, brother. I never would have guessed that." He said in his sarcastic tone.

"Well, his sarcasm is not at least we know he's not that injured." Said Artemis to Athena, both girls chuckled although the worry in their eyes was present.

"I'm feeling the love right now.",

"Ares, are you alright?"Asked Hera

"I'm fine, it's gone now."

"Right, perhaps we should. Go and take a look at that mall retrace Percy's steps," commented Zeus

All the Olympians agreed to this and they flashed to the mall where Annabeth had been. They walked around not drawing any attention to it from any of the mortals granted the odd look here all there rather than that nothing that would alert anyone that they were immortals. They walked around following every single step. Soon they walked into the antique shop. They looked around everything from the outside; it looked like they were simply looking for a small trinket for themselves. That wasn't true. Obviously, but they looked at little things Nonetheless, just in case something was out of place. The big 3 reached the area to which Percy had last been and they didn't find anything rather than a small amount of Blood On The Floor from where Percy's hand was bleeding.

"This is hopeless, this guy is too good. He's covering his tracks too well."groned poseidon

"Perhaps we should think of what we know, Brother," said Hades. "Let's all write down everything we know, everything we notice and tomorrow we can put it all together."

"What like on those police officers show?"Hermes said. Everyone whipped their heads towards him just with confusion written on their face. But Hades simply smiled at the reference. "Yes, exactly like that, it works for the perhaps maybe instead of just throwing out ideas at one another, it may work for 've got another note now thanks to percy," The Lord of the dead was right. They had another note Percy had written. "A place no one will find" was not much Help but it could be Athena would be the one to decipher what Percy had meant, considering that She was the goddess of wisdom. So it was decided they would all write down everything they remembered from the letters. The iris messages all of it with all the information they got and then they would all discuss it with it all in writing and perhaps be able to see some sort of pattern. Athena, Artemis , Hera and demeter all said they were going to go to the old archives and perhaps maybe they might dig up something on what Percy had said to that ghost woman about there being others who had failed before her cause maybe it's not the events that happening to could help them to find her but in fact what happened to them.

Percy was going to be punished. She knew that from the moment the man had said that he knew that she what she had done, she knew she was going to be punished and she was man had grabbed Percy's arm hard and he was furious. He grabbed something from the drawer and placed it round her wrist, it looked like little bracelets, but they were fiery red, it looked like lava actually flowed through them. The metal was cold on her skin. Then he put a blind fold over her eyes and took a few more things from one of his desk drawers, he pulled her towards her room and set her down in a chair tying her to it. Then he puts something on her mouth. It felt like a blindfold, but had a thicker cloth bit by her teeth.

Man flicked his wrist and pain shot through her. The bracelets grew hot and it flowed through her entire body. It was like flames were engulfing her every limb but if you were to look, you wouldn't notice because there weren't any flames. It was just magic from The bracelets flowing through her body, causing her so much pain that she screamed, screamed loud and hard, thankful that there was something for her to bite down on. She didn't even notice that the man had left the room and left her there to suffer for how long she didn't know, but she was there suffering. Percy had tears streaming Down her face. She wasn't a massive fan of fire when she was a child. She had a massive fear of it but her friends in the hephaestus Cabin showed her that she shouldn't be that afraid of it,that they can control it because at first she was quite concerned about their ability to control the magic that they had from their father. Thankfully those children understood her fear and never used their magic in front of her unless absolutely necessary. Tears flowed from her eyes as she tried to hold on to the chair to stop moving. Realising that the more she moved, the worse it will get. It felt like hours that she had been sitting there but it had only been 20 minutes when the man came back, united the blindfold and took the bracelets off, leaving her there on the chair, tears falling down her face as she looked up at him in fear.

"You see now , little princess, you will be punished severely for misconduct."

Percy looked away, the tears were flowing down her face like waterfalls, as she looked down at her wrists that only had small rings on them and a small cut on her arm. There had been no actual just felt like there had.

The man chuckled at her face, then moved his hand to white tears from her cheeks. She jerked away from him only to realise. She is still tied to the chair. She looked away hoping that he would get the message and leave. But he rubbed his finger on her cheek, drying the tears.

"Now you're not going to break one of the rules of the games again , are you princess. Are you?" he growled, grabbing her chin forcing her to look at him.

"No sir," she stammered tears flowing from her eyes more now.

He undid the chains and lifted Percy up from the chair. She didn't even have the strength to struggle. It was like those bracelets had not only caused her immense pain but drew every ounce of strength that she had from them. He laid her on the bed, kiss her hand. And with one last word left

"You know you are more beautiful when you behave."

Percy cried more now. Tears flowing from her face freely. She just wanted to go home. The tears didn't stop even though she couldn't feel the physical pain any more. The memory of it was so scary that it made her cry more.

"I'm sorry, that happened to you."She said her words slowly and carefully.

"Please don't disobey him again.I don't want to see you harmed anymore like the others"

"I don't know what to do."Said percy barely able to speak through her tears

"Shh shh It's OK none of the others knew either.I didn't even think of something that makes you don't make the pain go away"

"Will it?" asked percy lifting her head ever so slightly from her pillow

"It will"

"I don't know what to think about.I can't remember anything 's like every happy memory I have is gone"

"Perhaps maybe think of your friends at camp or your father that might you must sleep your strength hurt more because what those bracelets were drawing your strength 's why it hurts when the magic was used on you"

Percy nodded her head laying on the pillow as she tried everything to close her eyes.
