Chapter Eight- I love you

Philip's POV

After that first night of love making, everything seems better between us. We are getting closer and you aren't so sad. Yes, I still had to deal with your annoying friends Maggie, Michonne and Beth every once and awhile when you have a girls night. And you are pretty busy studying for Law School. But the sex seems to make all the challenges worth it.

You never mention Shane anymore. I am relieved. Because you've already told me everything about your relationship. I know how much you wanted him to propose, I know about all the stupid fights you had, and I even how you had an abortion with his baby. You are so much better off without him. It's like I took out the garbage for you, Andrea. You don't thank me but I can see how much you are thriving without him. Which proves I am the better match for you.

You met Penny, who loves you. I introduced you to her one morning during breakfast. She warms up to you instantly. I don't know why I am surprised. When Sasha finally announces that she is moving to California with Abraham in May, you volunteer to watch Penny.

"I can pay you to watch Penny. I will pay you what I paid Sasha. Was about twenty per hour. I am going to need a new nanny anyways," I offered.

"We can talk about that after Sasha has her last day. I know we are going to need to figure out the financial aspect of our relationship eventually. But if we are married or engaged before then I really couldn't imagine you paying me to be a nanny. Though if I don't work outside of the home, I would need to spend money for the activities Penny and I will be involved in," she says talking about our future.

"What activities will that include?" I asked.

"Shopping, facials, manicures, Starbucks, and manicures. Just the basic girl activities," she smiles at me.

"I think I can handle that. I told you anything you want. As long as you are with me. You only have to ask," I said looking into her blue eyes.

"Well, you know how next weekend we are going to Florida," she whispers nervously.

"Yes," I said, taking her hand.

"I was thinking if everything goes well, maybe we could plan a trip to New York with my sister. Honestly, going to New York is her dream. I know your family owns a hotel there. It would mean so much to Amy," she says looking at me with her blue eyes.

Everyone has something or someone that they are proud of. Andrea told me that when we first met. I thought at first her someone must have been Shane. Her obsession with him was obvious. But I was wrong. Her someone that she loves the most is her sister. And if anything went wrong in our relationship or I needed to convince Andrea of anything, I could easily use Amy to persuade her. Amy is her weakness.

"Yes. I could even get you two tickets to see a Broadway show. Maybe Annie, Wicked, Westside Story, or Hamilton? Whatever you girls want. I could set you two up with a whole spa day at the hotel too," I said knowing how much this would mean to her.

"I love you, Philip. You are just so good to me,"she says, kissing my lips softly.

"I love you too, Andrea," I whispered in her ear.

We've only been together for seven weeks but I knew I would be proposing soon. I finally had my family back, but I had this feeling that Shane would be coming back. He probably would want Andrea back because I had her now. Well, he wouldn't get her back.

She is mine.
