Naruto was sensing Orochimaru but he was masked. Suddenly he felt his tangling sensation. Naruto focused on the Kage platform and he saw Orochimaru holding a sword to Hokage's chest. Naruto couldn't wait out anymore. Naruto used his quick style punched orochimaru and he landed on the rooftop next to the arena, the third hokage followed them as well. Naruto didn't know that Orochimaru brought his subordinate as well. He sensed 4 people while landing on the roof. Naruto didn't recognize them but the moment he landed he heard, "Four violet flames formation" suddenly he noticed very big crimson red walls around them and they have also covered themselves and there was no chance at least now to hit them. Naruto read about this in the scrolls the Ninja's have to be supremely powerful to hold this barrier for the longer amount of time.
Orochimaru: You are meddling with my plan again, brat. I am not going to let you live this time.
Naruto used transportation jutsu to move him and hokage outside Konoha walls so that he is safe. The moment he appeared he saw that he actually transported all the people including the barrier.

Naruto started hopping positions and pierced Kimmimaro's heart in an instant. Naruto felt huge wind blew past him and it was any one else may be they would have blown away. Naruto stood his ground. He saw two puppets were trying to reach him but due to the dimensional gates they were very rattled. Naruto was quite happy to see the technique because it was a secret technique by people of suna. A cloudy structure came in front of him while everything else was pure white. A very soothing voice started talking.

Naruto summons Gamabunta and makes joint transformation to Kurama. Naruto was trying to finish it as soon as possible. But shukaku was a tough enemy. Naruto didn't read much about jinchuriki's because he didn't think he would have to fight them so early. Now he doesn't have a choice. Naruto learned from gamabunta that he needed to wake Gaara up. He is not the one in charge so the rampage is actually not coordinated attack of a Jinchuriki.
Kurama and Shukaku reaches a deadlock position while Naruto just uses soft body technique to hit Gaara super hard in the head that the blood spilled from his head becomes a wake up call. And Shukaku disspaears. Naruto doesn't takes any chance as he dispels the transformation jutsu and summoned the Gedo Statue. Naruto starts absorbing Shukaku from Gaara. It was extremely draining from him. Naruto didn't know when to stop because he has never done this before and he can't feel it as he was not the one absorbing the power. He didn't want to kill Gaara. He thought he would give in to the dark side if he kills now. At that moment Naruto dove inside his mind unintentionally and faced Kurama.
Kurama: I am loosing my easy side Naruto. My hatred of being is getting to me again thus this is the only time I will be able to help you. I will tell you when to stop and you have to figure out what to do for the next time.
Following Kurama's instructions Naruto absords Shukaku in his gedo statue without killing Gaara.
Temari and Kankuro told the whole thing. They knew everyone dies if a tailed beast is being pulled out of them. Once they saw that Gaara was alive, they were overwhelmed. Naruto came to them.
