When Bucky and Sam end up in 1946 they have the chance to prevent HYDRA from taking over SHIELD and save Steve. And can Bucky get the life he deserves like Steve?

This is an AU based on the Bones Universe (the show) where Peggy is Agent Booth and Steve is Dr. Brennan but it's not the exact same, just the premise/location/plot style. Someone has gone missing & Peggy & Jack Thompson are on the case. They need the help of a particular historian at the Smithsonian & of course chaos ensues. This will be an "update as I have ideas" type of story.

Peggy's not sure how it happens. One minute she's fighting a giant tentacled monster and the next she's alone in that castle she'd left her team behind in. But something's different.

Peggy starts work at a new hospital. But something else is there. Something she can't comprehend, and something she can't allow. Or can she? There's much to learn... (Five chapters being posted all at once! Other chapters will be shorter)

Sam, Steve, and Bucky were inseparable ever since Thanos's defeat. They just fell into a new sense of normal living with each other and thriving despite the hardship of a world after the Blip.
