Repairing Memories

Hello everyone, and welcome back to The Owl House: The Bro Files. As you could probably tell, this is the chapter where Luz and Amity help fix Willow's memories after a certain someone who I will not name burns them. *Cough* Amity *Cough*

Anyways, while that happens, Gus looks for someone important to interview for a school project, while Carlos, Emira and Edric watch over Willow to make sure nothing else bad happens to her. Yes, more Emira and Edric in a chapter, as we know they need some more love.

Lastly, I do know what I wanna do for writing the rest of season 1 of the show, though most of season 2 I have no idea. I have some speculation from what I want in the season 2 finale episodes through season 3, but I am kinda stumped for what happens between season 1 and the season 2 finale episodes. Anyways, enjoy this chapter.

We start at Hexside, where we see Amity hanging with Bascha, as Boscha magically change her fingernails into purple tenticles with green suction cups.
"Too wiggly." She said, as she then magically changed them into actual flames. "Too obvious. Now we're talikng." She then magically changed them again into talons. "I think today is a talons day."

"Hey, girls. Time to bug out at my birthday party." Skara said, as she walked up to them and handed them invitations to her birthday party. The invites, which looked like butterflies, said she was turning fifteen. "Invite only. But you witches are my VIPs."

"Are these made of real insect wings?" Amity asked.

"My dad spared no expense. You only turn 15 once." Skara said.

"You only turn every age once, Skara." Boscha remarked harshly.

"Prepare thyself to do battle like a human. Thumb war!" The voice of Luz said, as we look over and see her and Willow having a thumb war.

"This is fun because it's stupid." Willow said with an amused laugh. Carlos, Emira and Edric were watching in amusement, though Ed and Em had the most amused faces out of the three.

"It's so weird that humans go here now. Too bad they already burned their social life at the stake. Any friend of Willow's is an automatic dork. Plus, one of them is dating your sister." Boscha said rudely while looking to Amity. She then noticed her invitation was molting.

"Ugh, Skara, why did you give me an invite that was molting? Gross. Give me another one." Boscha demanded, tossing the one she had to the ground. Two younger students noticed the invite, as one of them gasped.

"An invitation to Skara's party." One of them said. They then start fighting over it. One of the teachers then walked up and noticed the fighting.

"Oh. Kid fight!" He yelled out, as more teachers gathered around and encouraged the fight.

Back with Luz, Willow, Carlos, Emira and Edric, Luz was the most excited for the next class.

"Oh, my gosh, Willow, I am so excited for photo class. I can't believe you can make pictures of your actual memories. I'ma see me some baby Willow." Luz said, opening up her locker to grab a book.

"I'll admit, I was adorable." Willow admitted.

"Does it hurt taking your memories out?" Carlos asked in concern.

"Not really. It only tickles when someone pulls out a memory with a pair of tweasers." Emira told him.

"Oh, good." Carlos said, relieved.

"Though I heard it could give you permanent brain damage." Edric said to freak Carlos out, to which it worked.

"Ed, quit freaking Carlos out." Emira scolded him, as she then turned to comfort Carlos. "Don't listen to him. He doesn't know what he's talking about."

"Don't eat that." Luz said, as her locker bit onto her book and she struggled to try and get it out, to which she failed and the locker put the book back in. The locker then hissed at her, to which she hissed back at it. That's when Amity, Boscha and Skara came walking by.

"I can't believe she'd hang out with her. It's just embarrassing. 'Look at me. I'm going on a date with my ferns.'" Boscha said while making fun of Willow, which made Skara laugh. This made Willow feel dejected.

"That could be anyone." Luz optimistically told Willow to cheer her up.

"Solid Willow impression, Boscha. Amity, weren't you friends with Willow?" Skara asked. This caught Amity off guard, but she recollected herself.

"I'm a Blight. We only associate with a select few. Keep annoying me, though, I'm happy to select fewer." Amity told her.

"Oh, I could've sworn that you guys hung out." Skara said.

"Aw..." Willow said dejectedly.

"Man, why is she even friends with them?" Carlos asked.

"Because of our 'Family Motto.'" Edric said, putting air quotes around family motto.

"Oh? Then why don't you guys follow this family motto?" Carlos asked again

"That's because, unlike Amity, we don't really care about our family motto. We hang out with people we like and think are cool, like you." Emira told him. This made Carlos smile and blush.

We're now in photo class, where it was run by the illusion teacher. We see the students were paired up, as Luz was paired with Willow and Carlos was paired with Emira. Luz had already got four memory photos from Willow's mind and was going for a fifth.

"Alright, memory melon, let's pick another juicy one." Luz said, picking up her tweasers. The tweasers had what looked like sharp teeth going down the inside of them and an eye at the end of it.

"Be careful with my brain." Willow said, as Luz put the tweaser in her ear and pulled a memory out of it. The memory photos looked a lot like a polariod photo from an old polaroid camera.

"Ooh... Who says brain surgery's hard?" Luz asked, as she hung up the memory photo.

"As you work, note that some prints have greater clarity than others. These are moments that evoke a strong emotional response." The teacher told them.

"All the colors of the brainbow." Luz said, as she went to touch the memories. Before she could touch them, she was stopped by a magical hand that had 'Halt' on it made by the teacher.

"But if you damage the prints, you'll damage the memories themselves. Be extremely careful." The teacher warned.

"Whoa, photo class is intense." Luz said.

We go over to Emira and Carlos, where Emira was the one picking Carlos of his memories. Just like with Luz and Willow, Emira pulled out five memories.

"Man, you were right. The memories tickled when they came out." Carlos said.

"I told you. You shouldn't listen to everything Ed says." Emira said.

We then see the memories that were from Carlos's head began to appear. Two were from being on the Boiling Isles, which were of him first meeting the twins and his first date with Emira. The other three were from the human realm, as one was a younger Carlos, angrily standing in front of a crying Luz and defending her.

"What's this memory about?" Emira asked, pointing to the memory of him and Luz.

"Oh, that. Luz was being picked on pretty bad that day, and being the older brother that I am, I had to protect her from those picking on her." Carlos said, though he made sure no one else could overhear them. "It's a memory I'm not too fond of, if I'm being honest."

"Oh, I see. Does she get picked on a lot back in the human realm?" Emira asked worriedly

"Yeah, but she usually doesn't let it bother her too much. It was just that day that made her cry." Carlos said. That's when Emira gave him a hug.

"You are a good older brother to Luz." She told him, which made him smile.

Back over with Luz and Willow, Willow's memories were starting to come in. The first memory to come in was of Willow having a bad hair day for photo day at Hexside.

"Oh, my gosh, Willow, you had an awkward hair phase too? I knew we were meant to be friends." Luz said, as she showed a photo of herself having an awkward hair phase when she was younger. "Ooh, there's more."

One-by-one the rest of Willow's memories appeared. The one next to her hair phase memory was the memory of her two dads pushing her on a swing-set. The one next to that was of her feeding a carrot to a spider-cow. The one after that was her opening gifts with her dads on what looked like Christmas.

The last memory then showed Amity with all brown hair hugging Willow at a birthday party, as if they were friends. This made Luz gasp.

"Ugh." Willow said, looking away in disgust.

"Hey. I know you and Amity have a history. Wouldn't you feel better talking about it?" Luz asked her.

"No, I'd rather do this." Willow said, as she turned the memory around. "That's my motto after all. 'Out of sight, out of mind.'" That's when the bell rang.

"If you won't tell me what she did, I'll never be able to cook up a scheme to make you friends again." Luz said.

"Luz, I get it. But I don't want you to do that. No schemes, no plots, no ruses. None. Okay? Now, let's go get some lunch." Willow said, as she starts leaving for lunch.

"She never did mention anything about shenanigans." Luz said, as she flipped the memory back around behind Willow's back before leaving.

Soon after Luz left the room, Amity and Boscha passed the room and Amity noticed the memory of her and Willow while Boscha was talking about a teacher she made cry.

"Oh, no." Amity said quietly to herself.

"Why do you look like you've seen a ghost? Is there a ghost in photo class? Are they cute?" Boscha asked.

"Yup. Just a super cute ghost. But they're all mine." Amity said, as she tries to have Boscha not look inside while she went in and closed the door.

"Ask if they have any friends." Boscha yelled through the door.

"Willow, I'm sorry. But I have to do this." Amity quietly said. She then made a small flame with the fire spell, as she used it to burn a hole of her face from it. She then blew on it and put it back up. As soon as she was about to leave, she heard a noise and saw the memory she burned her face from catch fire.

"Huh? Oh, no. No, no, no, no." Amity started to panic. She went back over to the memories and tried putting out the fire by blowing on it, which failed and started burning the other memories there. "Oh, come on!"

We then go to the lunchroom, where we see Luz, Carlos, Emira, Edric, Willow and Gus sitting at the same table. Apparently, Gus was looking for someone important to interview for one of his classes.

"Hey there, detective. Are you solving a crime or about to commit one?" Luz asked Gus.

"Sadly, this is one problem crime can't solve. My interview for journalism class is due tomorrow. I'm supposed to choose someone interesting, accomplished and noteworthy. People aren't meant to be all those things. Curse your need for perfection, Gus!" Gus exclaimed.

"Okay, buddy, okay." Luz comforted him, giving him her small carton of apple blood. "So, Willow... Wow, are you okay?" She asked her friend in concern, as Carlos, Emira and Edric looked at Willow as well.

"When did it get so hot?" Willow asked, as we can see her sweating. She then took a drink of water, as it then came back out as steam. She started pouring more, until she poured the whole content of the pitcher she had all over herself and steam came off of her. This actually concerned everyone at the table, except Gus.

"Willow, do you need to see the nurse or something?" Carlos asked Willow, as she wiped her glasses of the steam, as we then see her eyes fully diolate.

"Uh, hi. I'm Willow. Remind me of your names." Willow said while offering a handshake.

"This is serious journalism, Willow. Clowning around will get you nowhere." Gus obliviously said.

"I'm... I'm serious. Who are you?" Willow asked, actually having no memories of her friends names. This definately caught on to Carlos, Emira and Edric while Luz was still trying to process it.

"I'll admit, this amnesia spin has piqued my interest." Gus said, still oblivious to what is going on.

"Gus, I don't think she's playing around here." Carlos told him, as he, Emira and Edric started standing up.

"Gus, it really seems like she's forgotten us. Like her memory is..." Before Luz could finish, she realized what happened with a gasp. "Like her memory is gone."

"We need to get to the photo classroom to see what happened." Emira said. Luz grabbed Willow, as everyone rushed to the photo classroom. Once they got there, they opened the door and rushed in.

"Hexside Free Press. What's going on here?" Gus asked. Everyone then looked over to Willow's memory table and gasped, as they saw Amity there with Willow's memories ablaze and was trying to put them out.

"Hi." Amity guiltily said.

"You destroyed Willow's memories?" Lus asked in shock and a bit of anger.

"I saved as many as I could." Amity said, as she showed the memories she saved. Suddenly, a small ember blew over and landed on those memories, burning them away too. "Why would they make memories so flammable?"

"Amity, do you know the consequences of burning memories are?" Edric asked, starting to scold Amity.

"I just... I didn't want..." Before Amity could continue, Emira interjected.

"Look, I know you probably didn't want your friends see whatever memory Willow had up there, but burning them wasn't the right way. Now Willow won't be able to think properly because of you." Emira scolded while motioning to Willow.

"Have I always had this crazy thing?" Willow asked while giggling, as she was looking at her hand. She then starts playfully hitting her face with her hand. She then walked over and put an arm around Luz and Amity's shoulders. "I can tell we're gonna be good friends."

"We need to help fix her mind." Luz said.

"Luckily we know someone powerful enough to help." Carlos said.

The Noceda's then took everyone over to the Owl House, which when they got there, they had to explain everything that happened with Willow to Eda.

"So, this is the Owl House?" Amity asked Luz.

"Yup."

"And you and Carlos sleep here?" Amity asked again.

"When the night critters allow us to." Luz responded.

"So, you set Willow's memories on fire and erased everything. Even minor damage can have huge effects." Eda said. They then heard Willow bumping into the couch.

"Ah, chair for sitting." Willow said, as she fell face first into the couch. She then positioned herself to be sitting upside down.

"Yup. Her brain's burned up real good. Damage like that can change everything about a person. Willow may never be the same." Eda said, motioning to Willow, who was now sitting regularly on the couch now.

"I got it! Oh, a furry fruit. I'm gonna peel it." Willow said, as she noticed King sleeping next to her. She picked him up and grabbed him by the back of his neck and pulled.

"What? What is happening?" King asked, as he woke up while wondering what was going on.

"Nap time." Eda said, as she cast the sleep spell on Willow. It hit her, as she fell over asleep while letting go of King.

"Sleep spell." King yawned, as he fell back asleep.

"I didn't cast it on you." Eda told him.

"Ah, yeah, who cares?" King said, not really caring.

"Is there anything we can do?" Luz worriedly asked, not wanting to lose her friend.

"There is one way. But it's terribly dangerous and partially illegal. So, you're in the right place. I'll send you into her mind to fix the damage." Eda said. This made Luz very happy.

"Be still, my fantacy-loving heart. I have always wanted to do this. Thank you, Boiling Isles." Luz excitedly said.

"It won't be easy. You have a lot to fix in there 'cause it's a mess. Yup. Whoever did this to Willow showed unbelievable disregard for her safety, downright despicable." Eda said, making Amity feel very guilty. Even Edric and Emira gave off disapproving glares. "Oh, right, it was you." Eda pointed to Amity. "Anyway, Luz, who's going inside with you?"

"Maybe I could help." Hooty offered, opening up the door. "I'm pretty good at getting stuck inside people's heads."

"He's not entirely wrong on that." Carlos said, shrugging his shoulders.

"This is someone's brain, not a nightclub." Eda said, as she magically closed the door. "Two, max."

Luz had looked over to Gus, who was too busy with his school project, so he's out. She was then having a bit of a hard time choosing between Carlos, Amity or one of the twins. Edric and Emira then stepped up and picked for her.

"I think Amity should go with Luz." Edric said.

"Yeah. Since she's the one that started this, she should fix it." Emira added. Luz had a hard time disagreeing with that.

"They're right. Amity should go in with me." Luz agreed with them.

"I don't know. Willow might not want me in there." Amity said, looking a little dejected.

"You set everything in there on fire. You have to help." Luz told her.

"She's right. Mittens." Edric said.

"You have to fix what you broke." Emira added. This made Amity sigh in defeat.

"Okay, I'll do what I can." Amity said. Luz offered Amity a hand, as Amity took it and held on to it.

"Alright. Bold choice, taking the girl who caused the mess." Eda said, as she made a magic circle around the two. She then also magically summoned a bell for the two.

"Wow." Luz said in slight amazement.

"When you're done, ring that and I'll cast you back. Oh, and keep an eye out for her inner Willow. She's the gatekeeper of emotions and memory. She might help you." Eda told them, as she used the magic circle to send them into Willow's mind.

"Hopefully they'll be safe in there." Carlos said.

"I'm sure they'll be fine." Emira said, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Unless they get squashed or eaten." Edric said.

"Ed!" Emira yell at him, as he wasn't helping.

We now go inside Willow's mind, as we see Luz and Amity entering and Luz almost lost her balance. The place in Willow's mind started off as a dark place, until a bright light made an entire forest of memories appear before them.

"Where's her inner Willow? Do you really think it'll help?" Amity asked, as they start wandering around.

"I don't know. We'll just have to start fixing stuff on our own. Hmm. Now let's see." Luz said, as she starts looking for a memory to fix. She then walked up to a memory and blew some soot off it and started coughing. The memory had some burn marks around it, as there looked like a fort on a sandy beach in it. Luz stuck her hand towards the memory, as it went into the memory.

"Hey, I found something magical. I'm gonna put my face in it." Luz said, as she went face first into the memory while laughing.

"Luz. Luz!" Amity shouted for Luz, as she didn't see her going into the memory. Luz then popped her face out of the memory she went in.

"I think I found the memories. Let's go." Luz said, as she grabbed Amity by the wrist and pulled her into the memory with her. "And welcome to Willow's beautiful memory?"

They landed at a place called Lake Lacuna, as they seen how the damage was slowly-but-surely taking effect on the memory.

"Lake Lacuna. This is where Willow and I took Swiming lessons." Amity said, recalling this place. "The ash must be from the fires. *Gasps* Our fort in the dunes." She then ran over to a somewhat wrecked fort over in the sand with Luz.

"One time WIllow wanted to play hooky from our swim lessons, so we built this." Amity explained, while trying to fix the fort.

"Forts, hooky, Willow. Can words get any cuter?" Luz asked while gushing over Willow and Amity's past.

"We knew the swim teacher would be on the prowl, but Willow said she'd protect us with an illusion spell." Amity said, as the fort now almost looked brand new.

"What? It's like a little doghouse for angels." Luz said in amazement of the fort.

"Wait, something is missing." Amity said, as she searched for something. She didn't search for long, as she found a handmade flag with the initials 'AW' on the flag. She then put it where it belong. "There."

With that, the memory was restored and both Luz and Amity were teleported back outside the memory tree.

"We're back." Amity said, when she realized they were back.

"I think fixing the fort fixed the memory." Luz said, noticing the memory was fixed. They then saw a younger Willow and Amity laughing while running to the fort.

"The seagulls are back again." Younger Amity said. The seagulls looked like skulls wearing blue helmets while having seagull wings and feet.

"Don't worry. I'll get rid of them." Younger Willow said. She then tried using magic to get rid of the seagulls, but her magic made the fort disappear instead, which in turn made the seagulls mad. The fort then reappeared, making the situation worse. That's when the swim teacher walked over to their fort to take them back.

"Willow." Younger Amity said.

"I'm sorry. I thought I was getting better." Younger Willow apologized.

"Willow was a late bloomer." Amity told Luz once the memory was over.

"I know. But now she's more like a great bloomer. This place is like a theater showing her most important moments. Now let's fix some more." Luz said, as she headed to the next memory. Said memory was of Willow and Amity at the birthday party. "The photo that started it all. Let's do it next."

"Wait..." Amity stopped Luz, as she was about to hop in. "Uh... You want important moments? This one might be about a crush." She showed the photo with Willow's hair phase, trying to avoid the photo Luz was about to head in.

"Hmm, don't mind if I do." Luz said, as she heads to that memory and joins Amity in it. While they went in, a purple flaming foot appeared, as if it were going to follow them.

Back outside Willow's mind, we see Willow still sleeping on the main couch while Carlos, Emira and Edric were sitting on the other couch. Gus was pacing back and forth, still trying to figure out who to interview for his class.

"No one can give me the interview I need except myself." Gus said, as he made an illusion double of himself.

"I'd rather die than expose my secrets." Illusion Gus said dramatically.

"Then die you shall." Gus said, as he was about to fight his illusion until Eda cleared her throat.

"If you need an interview, look no further." Eda said while mentioning herself. "Interesting? I'm a bad girl living in a secret fortress."

"I'm the secret." Hooty interjected while breaking through a window next to Eda.

"Shh! Noteworthy? I'm public enemy number one. Accomplished? I'm the greatest witch who ever lived." Eda finished.

"What do you think?" Gus asked his double.

"I think not." King said, as he appeared through illusion Gus. "If you're handing out attention, I deserve it." He then jumped out of illusion Gus, making him disappear.

"I will choose one of you. But which one?" Gus asked. "If you wanna get picked, you'll have to impress me." This made Eda and King glare at each other.

"If you guys are gonna compete, could you do it away from this room?" Emira asked.

"Yeah, I wouldn't want either of you accidentally hurting Willow if one of you slips up." Carlos added in. They agreed, as they headed to the kitchen for their competition.

Back inside Willow's head, we see Amity and Luz had fixed another memory. The memory was of Willow with her dads at a swing-set. One of the fathers was pushing Willow, while the other accidentally got kicked down.

The next memory that was fixed was at the library, where we see a young Amity and Willow at the teen romance section reading 'Weapon of Love.' They were then chased from that section by the librarian.

The next memory that was fixed was a memory of Amity and Willow at an amusement park, where they went on a ride called the 'Roller Ghoster.' When the ride took off, we could hear Willow screaming, followed by her saying she didn't feel so good.

"We don't need to see how this one ends." Luz said, as she turned the picture around to not see the aftermath.

"Yeah, Willow threw up a lot that day. That's when you knew she was having fun." Amity admitted.

"Ew. I mean, aw." Luz said, feeling disgusted at first, but didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. She then noticed Amity looking sad. "Hey, you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, I just... I can't believe I almost erased all this. I really messed things up." Amity admitted.

"Don't worry. We've gotten really good at fixing memories. I won't rest until we've got this all sorted out. Repeat after me, 'We can fix this together.'" Luz said. "Come on."

"We can fix this together." Amity said with a small blush on her cheeks.

"Heck yeah, we can. I know some of these memories must be painful for you, but what happened to you guys? And why are you trying to hide it?" Luz asked in both curiosity and concern.

"I just..." Amity was about to explain, until she saw a flaming humanoid come out from behind a tree and made Amity gasp and point at it. "What's that?" Once Luz turned around to see what she was pointing at, there was nothing there.

"Look, if you don't wanna talk about it, just say so." Luz said, as she walked off.

"No, I actually saw something. At least I think I did." Amity said.

"If you need me, I shall be fixing this memory of a ball pit." Luz said, as she starts stepping into a memory of Willow and Amity in what looked like a ball pit. Amity then tried stopping her.

"Wait, that's not.." Luz went in before Amity tried warning her, but immediately came out with an eggshell on her head.

"It's eggs. It's full of eggs. Why is this memory full of eggs?" Luz asked in a panicked voice.

"Yeah, that one's hard to explain." Amity said, as she joined Luz in that memory.

Back outside Willow's head, we see Eda and King ready in the kitchen to compete to see who Gus would choose to interview for his class assignment.

"Just give up, King, 'cause I got this." Eda smugly said, not worried or nervous at all.

"You got nothing. No one turns down an interview with someone this pretty." King said, full of himself. That's when the lights in the kitchen turned off.

"What?/ Huh?" They both asked in confusion. A bright light then shined brightly behind Gus, as they both had to cover their eyes.

"If you want this interview, you're gonna have to start answering some tough questions. Where were you born?" Gus asked, as he had shrunk the light and pointed it at King when he asked the question.

"Huh?" King asked still confused.

"What'd you eat for breakfast this morning?" Gus asked, this time pointing the light ball at Eda.

"What?" Eda asked, still confused as well.

"What's your greatest strength?" Gus asked, pointing the light back at King.

"My decisiveness. Wait, I change my mind." King answered.

"This will be the single greatest interview of all time. So, if you want it, you'll have to dazzle me." Gus told them while making the light ball into smaller light balls.

"The kid scares me." Eda admitted.

Back in the living room, Carlos and the twins heard the noise coming from the kitchen, but decided to ignore it.

"So, do you two know what's going on with Amity burning Willow's memories? It just seems like there's more to it than doing it out of hatred." Carlos said, curious about what's going on.

"I believe it's because of our parents" Edric said, letting it slip.

"Wait, really? Why?" Carlos asked of curiousity.

"Well, it's because our parents, mostly our mother, that think that because we are Blights, we should hang out with other high status families." Emira said, but then continued. "Like I said before, Ed and I don't really follow that way and don't hang out with people they want us to outside our home."

"But what does this have to do with Willow and Amity?" Carlos asked.

"I was getting to that. Amity and Willow actually used to be good friends back when they were younger, but our parents didn't like it and told Amity to stop hanging around Willow, or else they would make sure Willow didn't get into Hexside." Emira explained.

"Wait, is that why Amity is hanging around Boscha and they others?" Carlos asked, to which the twins nodded. "What!? Amity should pick her own friends, not who your parents pick."

"I know. But because Amity doesn't want to disappoint our parents, she ended her friendship with Willow for her other so-called friends." Emira said.

"Man, your parents are the worst. I'm actually glad I haven't met them yet." Carlos said, making the twins smile at that.

Back inside Willow's head, we see Amity and Luz had fixed the memory with the eggs, as Luz was trying to get an egg she got her head stuck in off her head.

"We're getting pretty good at fixing these." Amity told Luz, as she finally got the egg off her head and gasped.

"Yeah. And there's only one last memory to fix, the one you're suspiciously avoiding." Luz said, referring to the birthday party memory.

"Me? Avoid? No. But let's skip it. Where's Eda's bell?" Amity asked, trying to run and avoid the memory, but Luz stopped her from going any further.

"Amity, you gotta stop being weird. We have to fix all of them. Unless... there's something in there you don't want me to see." Luz said, then added. "Look, I'm not here to judge. I'm just here to help Willow."

"Help? All you're doing is prying into your friends' lives." Amity avoided, trying to pin it all on Luz. "Well, did you ever think maybe it's none of your business?" They then started smelling smoke. "Is something burning?" They then both turned to see the memories they fixed were burning again.

"Look!" Luz said, pointing to the fire being Amity saw before. The fire being then started charging for them.

"Hide, hide, hide." Amity said, as they hid behind the tree. The fire being then stopped in front of the memory and entered it. Amity and Luz came out of hiding and noticed that the being was blazing the memories.

"Oh, no. That thing is burning up all the memories." Luz said.

"Please call Eda. I don't wanna be here when it comes out." Amity said, panicked. That's when Luz started ringing the bell.

Back outside Willow's head, Eda was ringing a bunch of bells to try and impress Gus. The ringing was so loud, Carlos and the twins had to cover their ears and no one could hear the bell ringing from inside Willow's head.

"How's that for interesting? There's levels to me, kid, levels I say!" Eda said when she was done.

"Yes, that was nice." Gus said.

"No, it wasn't. If you want noise, I'll give you noise." King said. He went and got a spoon and plastic rain protector, as he came back and starts banging on it with the spoon.

Back inside Willow's mind, we see Amity panicking while ringing the bell.

"Why won't she answer?" She asked between rings.

"Yeah, she's not super reliable." Luz admitted. Just then, they noticed the fire being was coming out of the memory.

"Run!" Amity yelled, as they ran and the being exploded out of the memory. "Why is it destroying all the photos?"

"I don't know." Luz admitted. Luz then looked over and saw two memories with her dads haven't been burnt. "That one hasn't been burnt, or that one." She then gasped when she noticed the library memory was burnt.

"Amity, that thing isn't after any photo, it's after you." Luz told Amity. Just as Luz said that, the fire being turned around and noticed Amity there.

"What?" Amity asked in panic. The fire being roared, as it charged after Amity.

"Run! I have an idea." Luz said, pushing Amity to a nearby photo, which happened to be the fort memory.

"We can't go in there, I'm in there." Amity pointed out.

"Just trust me." Luz said, as she pushed Amity in there. She then jumped in there before the being could burn her alive. Once they got in there, Luz started drawing an ice glyph. "Time for a swimming lesson."

Once Luz was done with the glyph, she pressed on it and it started rising just as the being came full-force through the photo, sliding on the ice and landing in the water. That's when Luz cheered.

"Whoo, teamwork, baby!" Luz said, as she hugged Amity. The hug made Amity blush. Amity then noticed something coming out of the water.

"Luz." Amity said. Once the smoke cleared, we could see what looked like Willow, but she had a pink glow to her and some fire on her clothes, though it looked like the fire didn't harm her. "Are you the inner Willow?" Amity asked her.

"I was." Inner Willow said with an echo, as she then moved towards Amity and Luz. "Love, sadness, fear. I used to be a being made of all emotions. But ever since you set Willow's mind on fire, all I can feel is anger." Inner Willow then starts destroying the memory with the fire that had encased her before.

"Please, stop!" Luz begged the inner Willow.

"But Amity wanted this." Inner Willow said, as she brought in the memory photo of the birthday party and grabbed it with a fiery hand. "Every moment she touched, I'm going to burn."

"You're just hurting Willow. Why are you doing this?" Amity asked.

"Still haven't figured it out yet? Then I'll show you." Inner Willow said, as she grabbed Amity with a fiery hand and put her in the birthday memory. "You wanted to know everything, right? Then come take a trip down memory lane." Inner Willow offered Luz a hand.

"You're saying it all creepy, but I like the sound of... Whoa!" Luz was interrupted when inner Willow grabbed her with a fiery hand and put her in the memory too.

We first see Amity appear in the memory, as she had bounced off the bed and landed safely on the ground. When Luz came through the photo, she flew through it and crashed into the wall on the other side, though she walked up to Amity all fine.

"Where are we?" Luz asked. That's when inner Willow appeared before them.

"You said I was hurting Willow. I was just finishing what you started." Inner Willow told Amity in a fiery blaze. We then see a younger Amity and Willow come through the door, apparently having an argument.

"You have to get out, Willow. Now." Younger Amity told younger Willow.

"Wait, why?" Younger Willow asked, wondering why her friend was suddenly being mean to her.

"Because, because..." Before younger Amity could continue, younger Willow interrupted her.

"Is it because I still can't do magic? Amity, I'm sorry I got us in trouble at the beach. I just... I can't get the spells right." Younger Willow said.

"Well, yes, that... That is why. Because you're a weakling. You can't do magic, so I don't wanna be your friend. Now go!" Younger Amity told younger Willow. Inner Willow then made them disappear.

"Then you let your new friends pick on her for years. All because you thought she was weak. Well, now I can erase all that pain. After all, out of sight, out of mind." Inner Willow said, as she floated up in the air. She then cast a ring of fire around Amity.

"Amity!" Luz yelled, concerned about Amity when the flames started rising.

"Wait, please." Amity begged, to which inner Willow made the flames go away. "Before all this started, there... there was something else." The door then suddenly rattled, as we can then hear the voice of Amity's father.

"Amity." Amity's dad said in a scolding voice. We the look through the door, where we see younger Amity with silhouettes of her parents.

"What is Willow doing here? She wasn't on the guest list for a reason." Amity's mom told younger Amity.

"But she's my best friend." Younger Amity said.

"Nonsense. Blights only associate with the strongest of witchlings. You may choose a new friend from one of the suitable companions we invited." Amity's dad said, referring to a younger Boscha and Skara.

"But they're mean. Just because you work with their parents doesn't mean I have to like them." Younger Amity told her parents.

"Good children don't squabble, dear. Sever your ties with Willow, and if you don't..." Amity's mom started.

"They we will." Amity's dad finished. This made younger Amity gasp.

"We'll make sure the girl is never admitted into Hexside. Now, go. And try not to make a scene." Amity's mom said. The door then creaked and shut, as we are back in the room and Amity had a guilty face.

"Willow, you were never too weak to be my friend. I was too weak to be yours. I can't take back what I've done, but I can promise you this." Amity started, as she then took out Skara's invitation. "I won't let Bocha and her gang pick on you ever again." Amity was going to rip the invite, but didn't because it was a real butterfly. "I'm not actually gonna rip it because it's a real butterfly, but you get the gesture, right?"

"I do." Inner Willow said with tears in her eyes, though the echo wasn't there anymore. She then grabbed Amity's hand. "I think Willow should keep her memories of you, the good and the bad."

"Me too." Amity agreed. That's when Luz walked up to them.

"Then, if it's okay, Amity and I still have some work to do." Luz told the inner Willow, to which inner Willow nodded in agreement.

They then restored the memories, as Amity hung the restored memory of her hugging Willow back on the empty tree hole. We see Amity waving to younger Willow and inner Willow, to which they waved back and left. Luz was crying at how beautiful the scene was.

"So, does this mean you and Willow are buddies again?" Luz asked when she composed herself.

"I'm not sure." Amity admitted.

"Well, why don't we go see?" Luz suggested, taking out the bell Eda gave her.

Back outside Willow's mind, we see Eda and King were sweating and panting, as they had been busy trying to impress Gus for a while in the kitchen.

"So, who got the gig, kid?" Eda asked.

"Well, this has been the hardest choice of my entire life. But with the public interest in mind, the interview goew to... Hooty!" Gus said, making the two confused and frustration on why he'd chose Hooty.

"Hooty?" Eda asked, confused.

"Hooty?" King asked out of frustration.

"Hoots!" Hooty said from the living room, as he had opened the front door.

"Well, your performances got me thinking. What could create such interesting people? Only the Owl House itself." Gus said heading to the living room, while Eda and King heard Hooty gasp in excitement. "Tell me everything, Mr. Hooty." Gus said, as he went outside.

"I've been waiting to hear to those words all my life. Where to begin." Hooty said, as he closed the door. This made Eda grumble.

"I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna bake that bird in a pie." Eda grumbled.

"I'm gonna bake that kid into a pie." King added.

Back in the living room, Carlos and the twins had witnessed Gus picking Hooty for his project, as they were a bit creeped out at how excited Hooty was. Carlos could only guess at how frustrated Eda and King were since they hadn't been picked. They then heard the bell ring from inside Willow's mind.

"Hey, Eda! I think Luz and Amity are ready to come out of Willow's mind!" Carlos called out to her.

"Oh, right, I put people in there." Eda said, forgetting she put Luz and Amity in there. She then came in and did the spell, bringing Luz and Amity out of Willow's mind.

"Whoa. What went down here? And where's Gus? What did you do with Gus?" Luz asked, wondering what happened.

"The kid's fine. He's just dead to us." Eda said, while walking off with King.

"Those are very mixed messages." Luz told her.

"They're just upset that Gus picked Hooty for his report over them." Carlos explained, walking over to Luz and Amity.

"Ah, that makes a better explaination." Luz aknowleged.

"So, did you fix Willow's mind?" Emira asked, as she and Edric joined them. They then heard a noise, as they looked over and saw Willow waking up.

"Willow! Do you know who I am?" Luz asked her.

"A friendly scarecrow?" Willow guessed, then let out a chuckle. "Just messing. I remember everything."

"She's back, folks. My girl's back. I'm gonna hug you so hard you'll never forget me again." Luz said, as she went over and hugged Willow.

"Good job on helping fix Willow's memories." Edric said.

"Yeah, I know it must've been hard for you." Emira added.

"Yeah, it was. Mom and dad won't be too proud of that." Amity admitted to them.

"True." Edric said.

"But you should pick your own friends instead of the one's our parents picked for you." Emira told Amity.

"She's right. True friends will always be there for you, while fake friends won't truly care for you." Carlos said, agreeing with the twins.

"Yeah, I'll think more on that." Amity said, as she starts to leave. Luz saw it, as Amity waves to her.

"I remember what you did too." Willow said, making Amity stop in her tracks and look back. "What you did in there..." She pointed to her head. "I can't say we're friends, but it's... a start." Amity smiled, as she waved goodbye to Willow.

"Luz, question, how did Amity happen to see the photo I hid in class?" Willow asked.

"You said nothing about shenanigans." Luz told Willow.

"Wait, you're the one who had Amity burn Willow's memories? Ugh. What am I gonna do with you, Luz?" Carlos asked, annoyed with Luz's shenanigans.

Meanwhile, Gus's interview with Hooty wasn't going the greatest, as Hooty was getting off topic.

"My first word was hoot. My second word was hoot-hoot. My third word..." Hooty started.

"Hooty, you gotta stay on track here, buddy." Gus told him. We then see a glimpse of Amity releasing Skara's invite.

"Here's a song I wrote. Bored, bored, bored. Bored, bored, bored." Hooty said, while singing bored.

"Ahh! I can't take this anymore." Gus said, as he walked off in frustration.

"Here a hoot, there a hoot. Somewhere else a hoot-hoot. Hooty hoot-hoot." Hooty sang some more.

There we are, another chapter done. I know I didn't get too much of Carlos with Emira and Edric, but at least some fans of the twins get to see some more of them. And I know the Blight parents have names, it's just they haven't been named at this point.

Also, I got Carlos to learn of Amity and Willow's past from the twins while Luz learned of it in Willow's mind. Hopefully everyone is excited for the next chapter, as it is the Grom chapter. Wonder how things will play out with Carlos in the picture.

Also, also. I would love some input on ideas for what could be seen in season 2 for this story. I know this is my story, but like I said before, I am having trouble with season 2 before the finale. So, if you have any ideas, leave them in the reviews and I will check them out.

Lastly, I have been getting PM's fro content artist on here for this and my other stories. As much as I would love to have artwork for my stories, I can't afford them. It isn't a finantial thing, I'm just a mentally disabled guy who doesn't have any money to his name right now.

Anyways, hope you guys enjoy this chapter and hope you are ready for the next one. See ya.
