Ch.27
When Ann and Ron entered his room, Ann was surprised when Ron manipulated his Neuro Linker and started a song. Then he turned to her and bowed before speaking. "Would the beautiful lady grant me the honor of this dance?"
Ann smiled at Ron before performing a curtsey. "My pleasure."
Ron led Ann in a slow, romantic dance that he ended by quite literally sweeping her of her feet. Ann laughed as Ron spun her around slowly before leaning in for a kiss. Ron didn't hesitate to help her narrow the distance and their lips met. For both, it was like energy was injected into their bodies, leaving them breathless by the time they parted.
"I love you, Ann." Ron whispered as he looked into her blue eyes.
Ann teared up at his words before kissing him again and replying. "And I love you, Ron."
Then, Ron gently laid Ann on the bed before taking off her heels. Ann saw Ron's hands glow blue as he started giving her feet a massage. Ann couldn't help but moan at the relief she instantly felt. It was half an hour later when Ron felt satisfied he relieved Ann's pain.
"Thank you." Ann said.
Ron simply smiled before asking about her research to which Ann animatedly explained that she had recently discovered a section of the brain that when properly stimulated could help improve memory and overall health of the patient but she was still researching a way to consistently stimulate it though she was confident the Neuro Linker was the key.
Ron linked his Neuro Linker to Ann's and had a 3D display of a brain, that was incredibly detailed, shown. Then he asked her to show him where the brain should be stimulated. When she did Ron sunk into thought for a moment then finally spoke. "I can easily have the area stimulated but how long should it be stimulated? Does it have to follow a pattern? How long before the area requires rest?"
"My research indicates that stimulation for an hour or two a day should show the best results. The only thing we lack is a way to consistently stimulate the area." Ann explained.
"Alright then, come with me." Ron said standing and offering Ann his hand.
"Where are we going?" Ann asked.
"The lab, we are going to make those adjustments." Ron declared.
"That simple?" Ann asked.
"Not entirely but we'll need to test it so that you can publish your research before we make it a standard feature of the Neuro Linker." Ron said as he led the way. "We'll be adding the feature to my Neuro Linker and I'll give you access to all my readings so you can monitor progress. We'll also perform a few test before and after the stimulation so we have a baseline."
At his reminder, Ann had Ron take off his Neuro Linker and began the standard test she designed for the subject and was nearly frightened by Ron's results. His memory and overall health were at shockingly high levels. With the results down and saved in a secured folder, Ann had Ron install the program to stimulate his brain.
Ann began monitoring Ron vitals and brainwaves to see if any irregularities came up to instantly stop the experiment. Seeing that things were going to take a while Ann suggested he enter Conquest and see if the others had arrived at his destination.
Ron thought about it but decided to make something he had been researching before spending three years in what amounted to a coma.
"Bebe do we have..." Ron began listing materials that he needed to make the defensive treasures. Bebe soon confirmed that everything was ready and all that was necessary was crafting, inscribing and imbuing with Ki.
Seeing everything was ready, Ron got to work the old fashioned way. You might think he went to a forge and started heating the materials but Ron went to the center of the room and sat down. Then after some preparations he summoned a spirit flame conjured from his Ki and started the process. On the first one Ron was careful since he hadn't done this before. He removed all impurities from each material and when he was satisfied with the result he began crafting a necklace. Ron wasn't a craftsman by any means but the process he was using allowed him to literally mold the necklace to his desire without worry of damaging or making it too frail. The result was an exquisite red rose with a water drop on a petal that was a precious gem and could store and gather Ki, the protective treasures' power source. That done Ron began inscribing which was like programming a computer. By the time he finished the rose and chain looked incredibly lifelike as the runes simulated the flower's various details. With that step done Ron could already feel the gem absorbing Ki and decided to speed up the process by the depositing enough so that it could hold a barrier for half an hour by his estimate.
"Ron, it's beautiful!" Ann was mesmerized by Ron's creation. It was a beautiful yet delicate looking necklace that she couldn't help but picture around her own neck. The rose was small compared to a real one but it's vivid details almost made her think it was real.
Ron stood and went over to Ann. He explained the purpose of the necklace before asking. "Would my lady do me the grand honor of wearing this simple trinket?"
"It would be my honor." Ann said as she turned around and lifted her hair. Ron gently place the necklace in place and couldn't help but smile. Though he crafted it with Ann in mind he wasn't sure it would suit her till he saw her wearing it. Ann could barely tell she was wearing the necklace which was extremely light and comfortable. "Thank you, Ron!"
"You're welcome." Ron smiled and talked to Ann for a while before going to work on other pieces of jewelry.
Ron made each piece after a flower, for Tara a white camellia, for Bonnie a red lily, for Monique a bleeding heart, for Yori a Lotus and for Shego, her favorite a hydrangea. Then Ron, after thinking for a while decided to craft an Edelweiss for Amy. After that Ron made the twins, Wade, Felix, Zita and Kim bracelets. They were simple yet elegant designed after shuriken. Ron would have made more but he ran out of materials. Come morning he would hand them out and explain a few things.
Morning once again found everyone enjoying Ron's cooking.
With everyone seated and eating, Ron brought out the jewelry and began explaining it's purpose though he doubted the ladies paid attention after looking at the flowers. Seeing their focused eyes Ron got up and placed a necklace on each of his ladies. With the necklaces distributed Ron handed out the bracelets.
The twins, Wade and Felix were stoked with the gift but Ron could tell Zita and Kim preferred a necklace. With things as they were, Ron sent Wade a list of materials and asked if he could order a few sets.
"Ron, these are all extremely expensive, are you sure?" Wade asked.
Hearing this Zita and Kim looked guilty but Ron simply waved away their concern. "I'm sure Wade. Plus, once they get one's to their liking the ones they have can go to a loved one."
"Thanks Ron." Zita said with a blush as his ladies went around giving him a few kisses.
Amy also snuck in to kiss Ron.
With that settled Ron spoke again. "Now for the second set of news. You know the techniques available in Conquest? Well, you can practice them in real life for the same results. Longevity, strength, and miraculous abilities, as long as you found an suitable cultivation technique. So with that said I suggest you all begin practicing."
To Ron's announcement there was only silence except for Yori and Shego who already knew.
"You're kidding..." Jim began.
"...right Ron?" Tim finished.
"Nope, complete fact. In fact millenia ago these techniques were wide spread." Ron said.
"Wow!" The twins said.
"This will change everything." Felix said.
"Yeah." Wade agreed.
"Ron when you say longevity, how much are we talking about?" Asked Ann.
"""Yeah!""" The ladies around the room echoed.
"Well, it all depends on your attainment during cultivation but reaching the liquid stage doubles the average human lifespan. With every successive breakthrough it doubles again so one can maintain youthful looks for quite a long time. Legends say that reaching the pinnacle allows one the same life as the stars." Ron explained.
"Ron why didn't you say this sooner!" Bonnie shouted.
"I was trying to find the right time to tell you guys and there's the fact that not everyone is guaranteed results so I wanted to ask you if you were willing to try!" Ron hurriedly explained.
Those words seemed to awake them as they realized they weren't necessarily going to see the results they wanted. Ann like some of the others looked worried as she absentmindedly began downloading Conquest. Ron saw this and went over to her.
"Ann, I can impart the most suitable technique to help, so no matter the results I'll be there!" Ron assured.
"Thanks Ron." Ann said smiling weakly.
"You're welcome." Ron said before turning his attention back to the group. "Now all of you can begin trying to cultivate. It will be just like in Conquest though likely more difficult. For those who don't have a suitable technique raise your hand and I'll test you for compatibility."
"What if we want to check whether we have our most compatible one?" Asked Wade.
"Then I'll test everyone first, that way there is no doubt." Ron amended.
Thanks to Wade Ron tested everyone and gave them a more suitable technique. For most it was a stronger technique but for a few it was weaker. One such case voiced their concern.
"I don't understand why I have to switch to a weaker technique." Bonnie complained.
"It's because your body won't be able to handle it's power and it will damage your meridians in the end you'll be unable to cultivate. For cultivation a compatible technique is essential." Ron explained and to his relief Bonnie accepted.
"Oh!... sorry for being difficult." Bonnie says.
"It's okay, you didn't know." Ron soothes.
You might wonder how Ron got everyone to memorize the techniques and that was thanks to the knowledge left behind by Xu Ming Yue. He literally imprinted the technique into their memory so it was like they already knew it all along.
Once everyone had a technique they were eager to begin cultivating but Ron called Felix to the side.
"What's up Ron?" Felix asked.
"I wanted to see if my suggestions helped with the problems you were having in your project?" Ron asked.
"They did! All our tests show a hundred percent use of the prosthetic. They can manipulate it as if it were their old limbs." Felix said excitedly.
"Great to know I was able to help!" Ron said with a smile but he tensed not knowing what words to use for his next topic. "Felix, there's something I want to try but I'm not sure it's going to work and I don't want to get your hopes up but I'm confident it should work..."
"Ron, Ron! Breathe and start from the beginning." Felix interrupted.
Ron took a deep breath and apologized. "Sorry, I've just been wanting to talk to you about this for a while."
"It's okay, now explain it to me." Felix said.
"I might be able to use my powers and fix your spine since you only lost use of it after the car accident." Ron jumped straight into it. "I think I can help you walk again."
Felix was stunned to say the least. To be able to walk again has been on his mind for the longest. In fact it's part of the reasons he's working on prosthetics. Now to hear Ron say he might be able to help him made his mind crash and reboot.
"How?" Felix finally asked.
"When I use my healing techinique, I can heal to such a degree it's closer to regeneration. If you were to perform a scan of my brain you would find it complete even after what happened three years ago. And this very healing technique can be used on others. Now if I'm right, since you only lost the ability to walk after the car accident I should be able to help your body regain it's ability to walk." Ron explained.
"Ron if you can help me walk again I'll..." Felix began to promise.
"Felix! We're bro's, why are you treating me like a stranger?" Ron interrupted and asked.
"Sorry." Felix apologized.
"Now remember if it works you'll need to exercise your legs from the ground up since they'll be too weak to hold you." Ron reminded.
"Don't worry I won't forget." Felix agrees.
"Good, there's one machine that'll I'll need to build but once it's done we can begin." Ron said.
"And what machine is that?" Felix asks.
"Think of a more advance x-ray but no radiation and real time, layer by layer body images. It'll allow me to see your spine and compare it to a fully functional one. In fact it'll allow me to see any organ, bone, muscle and even veins." Ron explained.
"There you go again." Felix says. "Revolutionizing technology."
After his talk with Felix, Ron went to look for Monique. Finding her was easy as she was in the livingroom meditating. Ron walked up to her and gently got her attention.
"Hey." Ron said as Monique looked at him.
"Hey Ron, what's up?" Monique asked.
"Thought I'd take you out." Ron explained.
"Really, what do you have in mind?" Monique asked excited.
"A shopping trip." Ron replied and Monique became visibly excited.
"Let's go! I've wanted to redo your style since forever ago." Monique exclaimed.
Ron smile knowing she misunderstood what they were shopping for. Still, her excitement felt contagious so he rolled with it. The real thing they were shopping for was a location where Monique can set up her brand. Why? Because Monique really had a thought out plan for her brand and the designs for her first few seasons of clothing sales that she'd been working on since high school had been impressive, so after her presentation Ron had agreed to partner with her and invest in her brand. Now the contract had been drawn up and all that was left was a location for the flagship store and their signatures.
Ron drove to the most sought after street for shopping stores in London where the realtor was waiting. Why was it the most sought after Street? Simple really, it was home to many famous brands and was just down the street from Cross Industries. Why was it so? Ron owned the block from when Wade bought and built the main headquarters for Cross Industries. Later the street was developed and rented as a shopping capital of sorts and the results were extremely profitable. Here was where Ron was going to place Monique's store, right across from his company and in the crowned jewel for future development. Though saying right across was not exactly inaccurate it also didn't fit perfectly as there was about a half mile separating both stores. Why? Cross Industries was massive.
When Ron drove pass the third brand store in a row Monique finally asked. "Where are we going exactly? We've driven by some of the best stores London has to offer." Then Ron stopped at an underground parking lot to the one empty building in the area. "Ron I'm pretty sure the other stores had parking."
"I'm sure they did Mon but what we are looking for is here." Ron said.
"What are we looking for exactly?" Monique asked understanding they weren't shopping for clothes.
Ron simply smiled and got out of the car, then he walked around to open the door for her and hand in hand they walked to the elevators. They took it to the main floor were the realtor was waiting. Monique and Ron then were presented with every one of the floors. Ron had Monique chose the layout and she quickly caught on to what they were really shopping for. Her excitement was almost visible as Monique and the realtor discussed the finer details of her store. In three hours, thanks to the Neuro Linker and it's capabilities Monique was shown a 3D display of what her store would look like once it was fully renovated to her specifications and she was loving it.
With Monique satisfied, the contact was signed and work was set to start the next day. The logo for the store was something Monique patented with Wade's help ages ago, thus Monique was to become extremely busy as she now had to work towards a grand opening without a single outfit that could be sold.
On the ride back Monique was contacting people that she wanted to employ and getting her business up and running. Ron heard calls to different places that could begin producing her designs and people that could work on tailor made right in the store. Ron had to admit he was impressed at the speed Monique was getting everything up and running.
Now back at the estate, Ron kissed Monique and left her to her work. Then went to look for Wade so he could look at something long overdue, his asset's.
Wade was glad to help and when Ron started looking at the numbers with those of the ladies that were available he was stunned.
"Wade are you sure these numbers are right?" Ron asked for the fifth time.
"Yes Ron, this is the extent of your fortune as of this morning." Wade answered.
"Wow, Ron you're doing good for someone who just woke up from a coma." Shego teased.
"I'd say." Ron agreed looking at all the zeroes in his personal bank accounts. Two hundred and sixty trillion and rising. Ron had enough money to firmly say he was the richest man on earth. Richer than some countries even. "Run it by me again Wade, how did I end up earning so much?"
"Well, seventy percent of your income is generated by Cross Industries as I mentioned." Wade began. "The other thirty percent is generated thanks to the investments your parents were making on your behalf and your inheritance. Thanks to them you own forty percent of Martin Smarty's company, thirty eight percent of Mr. Porter's frozen food company and twenty one percent in Polly Pandati's entertainment company. They were three of the most richest people three years ago and your parents had acquired a decent set of shares to their companies making decent profits for you."
"You got to give it to them, they knew how to make money." Bonnie commented.
"Yeah." Ron agreed.
"Ron there's something I've wanted to talk to you about!" Tara finally works up the courage to ask Ron.
"What is it, Tara?" Ron asks as Wade, Bonnie, Yori, Shego, Ann and Amy look at Tara.
"I want your help buil..." Tara begins to ask but the more she says the lower he voice gets.
"What was that, Tara? I couldn't quite hear you." Ron asks.
Taking a deep breath Tara repeats. "I want your help to build some orphanages!"
"Sure." Ron agrees.
"I know this is a lot to ask but I really want to help those kids who don't even have a place to call home or are abused where they are currently at." Tara explained not hearing Ron.
"Okay, I'll help you." Ron said.
"And I plan to personally supervise each orphanage to make sure that all of them are providing the best care to these children available." Tara continued to explain.
"You got it." Ron agreed again with a smile as he looks at Tara pouring her heart out.
"And..." Tara continues.
"Tara." Bonnie calls out. "Tara, Ron agreed."
Tara looks at Bonnie then at Ron, each having a loving smile on their faces. Blushing, Tara looks away and sees everyone else is smiling too.
"Thanks Ron." Tara says while covering her face with her hands.
"No problem Tara." Ron says smiling.
After Tara's request, Ron asked Wade to help Tara get everything up and running.
Shego had found Tara adorable as she asked Ron for help and she was glad she was witness to it.
The rest of the week Shego helped Yori and Ron to teach everyone the proper way to meditate as well as watched Ron take the other women on dates. After his dates with everyone but Amy Shego herself suggested Ron take her out even though it was the night before their move on Hench Co. Ron easily agreed to her request and off they went.
After watching them go Shego went to her room hoping to lie down. At the door Yori was waiting for her.
"Hey Yori, come in." Shego invited her in.
Yori came in and looked like she wanted to say something but didn't know where to begin.
"What's wrong?" Shego asked feeling a bit worried now.
"Shego, I missed my period." Yori announced.
'Yori missed her period!' Shego repeated to herself before it clicked and she called out. "That's great!"
Smiling now Yori asked. "I was wondering if your period has passed as well?"
"My period hasn't." Shego replied and seeing Yori's smile widened repeated. "My period hasn't! Yori we need to go to the store! We need to know for sure!"
"Here." Yori said and handed Shego a pregnancy test. "I prepared them for us." Yori showed Shego hers.
Shego kissed Yori. "Thank you, now let's drink some water. I need to know asap!"
"Okay." Yori said and went with Shego to the kitchen.
Together Shego and Yori drank a gallon of water and waited till nature made it's call. A few minutes later they were standing in front of one another anxious to look at the results.
"In three." Shego said. "Two, one!"
Yori and Shego look at the results and freeze for a minute. Then they look at each other and smile wildly.
"It's positive!" They say in unison. "We're pregnant!"
"He did it!" Shego says. "Ron managed to do what the doctor's said couldn't be done. Yori, he pulled off another miracle!" Just after she finished speaking Shego falls to the ground crying.
"Hai!" Yori agrees and kneels down to hug Shego.
Both women revel in happiness and begin to talk about how to share the news with Ron. They quickly agreed that it was the first thing they were going to do once Ron came back from his date with Amy.
"You think he'll pass out when we tell him?" Shego asks.
"...that very well might be the case, Shego." Yori agrees with a giggle. "But it'll be from an incredible amount of happiness."
"Yeah!" Shego sighs dreamily.
A couple hours later they are in the living room talking and waiting for Ron who should be back any moment now and as expected they soon heard Ron talking with Amy.
"Thanks for giving me a chance, Ron." Amy says as she and Ron walk in holding hands.
"It was my pleasure, Amy." Ron responds and comes to a stop, then he looks her in the eyes and kisses her on the lips.
While Amy is catching her breath, Yori and Shego approach Ron but stay a bit away so the two can still talk to one another.
"Ron, I'm going to go freshen up and if you are willing my bedroom door will be unlocked." Amy boldly proposes.
"You have no idea how willing I am but not tonight. I want things to go right between us and for that I'll need to let the others know that I'm also going to be dating you if they approve." Ron explained after turning down her offer.
A little disappointed but grateful that Ron wasn't thinking with his dick Amy accepts. "Good night, Ron."
"Good night, Amy." Ron says and pecks her on the lips again. Amy then begins to head upstairs and Ron turns to Shego and Yori. "Hey Shego, Yori."
"Hey Ron." Shego and Yori greet simultaneously then laugh at being in sync.
"You have no idea how happy it makes me to see you laugh so freely, especially you Shego." Ron says as he closes the distance between them and kisses both hopping to convey as much love as he can.
With wide smiles on their faces Shego and Yori grab Ron's hands and guide him to the couch.
"We have something to show you." Shego says.
"Great! Let me see." Ron easily agrees.
"Close your eyes, Ron." Yori instructs.
"Okay." Ron once again agrees.
Yori and Shego smile and pull out their respective pregnancy test and hold them out in front of Ron. "You can open your eyes, Ron."
Ron does and looks at the two sticks in front of him. It takes him a moment to realize what they are and when he does the biggest grin spread across his face. "Booyah!"
Ron hugs both women closer to him. This was a great fortune and he couldn't be happier if he tried at the moment. He was going to be a father!
"Thank you!" Ron whispers next to their ears.
"No Ron, thank you." Shego says in response. "In all honesty, I doubted it could be done and you made it possible."
"Yes Ron, it is thanks to you being who you are that we can have this moment." Yori agrees.
"Thanks, now what I'm going to say next might upset you both but I want you to let finish speaking before you yell at me." Ron says.
Shego trembled at his words briefly thinking the worst but calmed down as Ron and Yori caressed her back together. "Okay."
"Go ahead, Ron." Yori says.
"You guys can't come on the mission with me tomorrow." Ron states and continues. "I know you are strong and capable women but you are pregnant and as much I trust your capabilities I refuse to allow even a remote chance of harm come to the babies. And if the worst were to happen on a mission I don't know how I could live with myself."
There was a moment of silence as both Yori and Shego process what Ron said.
"Very well Ron, but you must take some back up with you." Yori agrees and puts up a compromise.
Ron nods as both he and Yori turn to look at the still silent Shego.
Sighing, Shego speaks. "As much as it upsets me to hear you say this it also gives me some relief. I agree but you must take some back up like Yori said. Only then will the mission still happen."
"I can agree to that." Ron said. "Thanks for your understanding." Ron then went upstairs with Shego and Yori, talking about the various preparations that must be done for the babies as well as their opinions on him dating Amy.
Once morning came, Ron like usual made breakfast for everyone and as they sat down to eat he announced. "I have some news!"
"What is it, Ron?" Various people ask.
"First off, I want your opinions on my dating Amy?" Ron asks.
"A bit conflicted to be honest but no objections." Ann was the first to respond.
"Same really." Tara and Monique agree.
"As long as you don't neglect me you have my blessing." Bonnie says.
Shego looks at Yori who nods her consent. "You guys have our support."
"Thanks, everyone!" Amy says gratefully.
"With your blessings, Amy would you like to go out with me?" Ron asks.
"Yes, a thousand times yes!" Amy easily agrees.
"Now the second announcement, Yori and Shego are pregnant!" Ron says then adds. "I'm going to be a father!"
There was a moment of silence as the information sinks in before anyone spoke. Surprisingly the first to speak was Wade. "So does that mean Xu Ming Yue successfully reincarnated?"
"Too early to tell Wade but I have a feeling she did." Ron says.
"Congratulations!" Ann says though the other ladies noticed the eagerness with which she now looked at Ron, an eagerness they shared. 'Yeah, they can't wait to get Ron alone!'
"Thanks." Yori and Shego says as they are congratulated repeatedly and share hugs.
"Now that leads us to the final announcement, Shego and Yori are banned from missions so I'm thinking of taking Akito with me as backup." Ron declares.
"Makes sense." Monique agrees and was about to add something when Kim interrupts.
"I can do it!" Kim states causing the room to go quiet.
Everyone was aware of Ron's and Kim's strained relationship from her actions in the past so they expected him to instantly shut her down. As the silence dragged, Ron finally spoke.
"Kim, this is not like the missions that you're used to." Ron said solemnly. "People will die, many by my hands. There will be no mercy."
Many of the ladies present paled at Ron's words but they knew his stand and supported it.
Kim bit her lip hard then took a deep breath. "I know people will die. After I thought about how villains go to jail only to get away again and again, they need to know that someone is willing to do what is needed to put a stop to their threat. Please let me come with you!"
Ron looked at Ann hoping that she persuades Kim but when he saw her hopeful look he sighed. Ann was hoping they rekindle their friendship by going on a mission together.
"Fine but you're to follow my lead." Ron said.
"Great!" Kim yelled while Ron shook his head. What Kim was about to witness was going to change her forever. "Let me change to my mission clothes."
"You'll need a new set of mission clothes." Ron broke in. "This can't be tied to any of us till the reform is done. Wade did the stealth suit complete charging after our testing?"
"Yeah it did and that's a great idea Ron!" Wade commented.
"A stealth suit?" Kim asks then adds. "I can do stealth."
"Kim can you disappear while everyone is looking at you and remain undetected to various equipment?" Ron asked and expecting her follow up statement disappeared from everyone's view to appear a moment later across the room and holding the stealth suit. "If you want to come on the mission your going to be prepared for anything and the stealth suit would help with that."
Still astonished by Ron's feat Kim relented. "Stealth suit it is if it can do that."
"It can but I didn't use a stealth suit to do what I just did, now get changed we leave in five." Ron declared.
As Ron and Kim made their way to Hench Co. Bebe briefed them with Wade's help on the various hurdles they'll face on the mission.
As the duo looked over the 3D display of Hench Co's known layout and security measures Kim asks. "What are the mission objectives?"
"The first objective is to copy all information on their server. Everything from transactions, shipment logs, employee records to business partners. We want to know everything there is to know about Hench Co." Ron declares then adds. "From there it's search and destroy. We clear out the henchmen, Jack Hench and everyone that's key to running the business."
"Okay then how about..." Kim offers her opinion on how they can go about the infiltration. Her plan was the tried and true method of Team Possible, the Vents but Ron simply shook his head.
"There's an expo going on next week so they have a lot of new hands going in and out of the building. Now with Wade and Bebe already having access to their security they won't even see us so all we need to do is draw minimum attention as we make our way to the server room. Should be simpler and faster." Ron explained.
"You're...right." Kim admitted but asked. "With that logic why don't we just use the stealth suit all the way?"
"Simple really." Ron said. "Won't hold power long enough to complete the mission so we are using it as needed." 'Though with Akito that would have been the way.' Ron thought.
A few minutes later, the plans were set and silence returned between the two, imprinting on both how their relationship had changed. Before they would have merrily talked and spent their wait time on the rides to a mission. Now both found it hard to so much as talk to each other.
"You know, I still wonder at what time our friendship turned into a convenient tool for me. At what point I started exploiting you instead of being there for you. I feel that if I knew I could somehow fix everything that I did." Kim admitted.
"Me too." Ron said. "I wonder to when did I start drowning my opinions and changing my views to please you since that eventually lead to everything falling apart."
"You know I'm really sorry, right Ron?" Kim asked.
Ron thought over it a moment before nodding. "I know. In fact I can practically feel it but I'm afraid that if I trust you again it'll just repeat all over."
Kim felt her heart clench at his words, understanding more since she knew him for so long. Kim knew he meant it when Ron said he practically felt her regret. She also knew he wasn't just afraid he was terrified. The damage she caused him might have been some of the most painful to him especially since Ron had trusted her completely. Kim was closest to his heart and she had betrayed what Ron held most dear, their friendship.
"Ron I know this is selfish of me but please give me a second chance to make things right between us!" Kim finally begged.
Looking at Ron, Kim could tell he was caught off guard by her begging. Ron was frozen for nearly a minute before responding. "One last chance, KP."
Crying, Kim promised. "I won't let you down Ron."
Jack Hench just finished a video conference call with the group he is part off and top of the agenda was the blue eyed person that made it his mission to stop villains and corruption worldwide. Sadly, even with as eager some of the members were they knew nothing about him or even where he would strike next. Then there was Ronald Dean Stoppable and his reveal as the man behind the Neuro Linker and time dilation technology. When Gill, Adrena Lynn and Monkey Fist confirmed he was Kim Possible's easily forgettable sidekick, which was further reinforced by him introducing her in the press conference shortly after declaring the ladies present his partners, the idea started spreading that they were dating. That aside, in three hours Senor Senior Senior, Duff Killigan, Falsetto Jones and Monkey Fist were raiding Ron's estate to capture him for his tech and hopefully terminate Kim Possible once and for all.
Hench pulled some strings with his contacts in the British government and they'll have an hour long period to get in and out. All alarms from the estate will be ignored for that time and all authorities will be 'busy' with various bomb threats as long as they share the time dilation technology. Jack Hench was just getting off the chair when the security protocols activated locking down the building and allowing no one in or out. Jack tried to send put an SOS to his partners but saw a message saying he was out of service range.
"Fuck!" Jack Hench cursed softly as he made his way to his panic room. As he walked, he called the chief of security to report on what's happening within his property but although the intercom relayed his message he received no answers to his query.
Now pacing in his panic room, Hench's security feeds showed nothing out of the ordinary confirming that his system had been compromised. An hour later with his nerves sensitive from the oppressive silence, Jack Hench finally heard noise and screamed his lungs out realizing the worst scenario was happening.
Jack Hench was trapped in what amounted to a fancy box as his assailants cut their way in. Not three seconds later the reinforced door was pulled off its hinges and two figures walked in. Jack being a business man tried to talk his way out. "Gentlemen, believe me when I say you have my undivided attention. Now what can I do for you?"
The figure holding the sword walked closer and took off Jack Hench's Neuro Linker. "You can die!" Without warning the sword decapitated Hench and as he is realizing what happened he heard. "Ron they are going to attack the estate!"
'Stoppable!' Was Jack Hench last thought.
Kim had to admit they got inside Hench Co like it was a shopping mall on sales day. Not three minutes later they were in the server room as Ron had Bebe copy the data.
Kim was silently celebrating how easy everything was when a guard walked into the room for a routine check. 'Yeah, jinxed it.' Kim thought as she moved to subdue the guard but before she arrived a shuriken struck his neck. She froze in her tracks but Ron continued like it was nothing, pulling the guard into the room and closing the door. As the guard choked on his own blood Kim made eye contact with him and started to cry. Dropping to her knees and hoping to help him she was once again shocked when Ron drove a kunai into his heart and retrieved his shuriken.
"KP, we have five minutes before they notice the guard disappeared and check his route." Ron started talking to a still frozen Kim. "We need eight minutes for Bebe to finish copying the data, what that means is that I'll have to leave my Neuro Linker behind while I make my way to the security room and lock down the facility. I need you to make sure Bebe is not interrupted, can I count on you Kim?" Seeing her trembling, Ron grabbed her shoulders and spoke. "KP, I need you in the here and now! We are in the middle of a mission and I can't afford to escort you out before I finish it."
"Y-Yeah, am fine." Kim tried to convince him but thought she was trying to convince herself.
"Then guard Bebe as she does her part." Ron instructed as he hands Kim his Neuro Linker that had a wire connected to the server and disappeared.
A moment later the door opened and closed leaving Kim alone with Bebe and the nameless guard's body whose eyes were opened and staring.
Kim was not aware of her surroundings as she normally would be on a mission and kept staring at the guards lifeless eyes. His face looked young, no older than twenty five yet his life was ended today.
"I'm sorry." Kim whispered to the body finally realizing the gravity of Ron's actions.
"Do you regret your choice?" Bebe asked Kim.
"I-I.. don't know." Kim admitted.
"Do you know the exact number of casualties from the little Diablo incident?" Bebe asked again simingly out of nowhere.
"I..." Kim tried to reply but was cut off.
"Six hundred and fifty three million, nine hundred and seventeen thousand, four hundred and thirty three." Bebe announced. "A number that would have increased had Ron not intervened. And this was just one plan to take over the world. Now imagine how many others would die in the next then ask yourself, would you regret it then?"
"I understand Bebe, thanks." Kim said understanding that she would indeed regret it if another villains plan got that far again.
"You're welcome, now disconnect me as I am done with the transfer." Bebe replied.
"Okay." Kim says finally noticing the emergency lights active and how out of it she's been.
"I will guide you." Bebe said as Kim secures Ron's Neuro Linker to her waist. "Upon exiting the room take a left and head ten meters before taking a right."
Kim followed Bebe's instructions thinking she was being led towards Ron but kept running into Hench Co personnel. Kim subdued each and everyone of them with non lethal means to which she was glad Bebe didn't comment. Kim just brought down another guard when she turned a corner to see a bloody hall with limbs and gore all over the place. Kin stopped in her tracks and nearly pukes her breakfast.
"Down the hall twenty meters and turn left, Ron has just entered the RnD department." Bebe mercilessly announced.
Trembling, Kim forced herself to walk and a couple of steps in she was running towards Ron and the comfort his presence would provide. Making it to the RnD department was easy as the scientist were making use of several doomsday devices to try and stop Ron but to no avail. Ron was cutting his way through spinning tops of doom all while avoiding lasers and still cutting down the scientists.
As the last scientists died Ron started making his way around the room and fiddling with the various devices. Kim approached unsure of how to talk to him.
"The files have been copied and I am sorting them as we speak." Bebe declares promting Kim to hand over Ron's Neuro Linker.
"Thanks Bebe, now all that's left is Hench and a few stragglers trying to find a way out of the building." Ron announced shocking Kim with his efficiency. They'd only been in Hench Co for a little over an hour.
Silently Kim followed Ron to Jack Hench's office and were standing in front of his panic room. Ron once again unsheathed his blade and cut at the door three times before pulling it. Kim watched on shock as the reinforced door fell to the floor in front of them.
"Gentlemen believe me when I say you have my undivided attention. Now what can I do for you?" Jack Hench asked.
Ron closed the distance and took off Hench's Neuro Linker before speaking. "You can die."
In a flash the sword was swung and Hench's head started falling. "Ron they're going to attack the estate!" Bebe announced while playing back the plans the villains made for Ron and Kim to see.
"Bebe connect me to Wade and the ladies, they need to know what's heading their way." Ron commanded as he started jogging out of Jack Hench's office towards the nearest exit.
"On it." Bebe acknowledged. "Connecting."
"Hey Ron, how's the mission going?" Wade asked from his end of the line.
"Did the mission finish?" Monique asked.
"That was fast." Tara said.
"Why is it a conference call? Did someone get hurt?" Ann asked.
"Ron are you okay?" Asked Bonnie.
"Guys, slow down and let him speak." Shego called out while Yori nodded.
"Go ahead, Ron." Amy said.
"Mission is just about wrapped up but we found out that some villains should arrive within two hours to raid the estate. I need everyone to head to the lab and initiate lock down protocols." Ron said.
"We can contact the authorities and be ready for them." Amy said smugly.
"Not gonna work." Kim cut in. "They got some government officials on their side that guaranteed them an hour for their assault."
"So Wade, get everyone together and head to the lab. As you know it can withstand a nuclear warhead. Alert Akito and tell him no one leaves alive. We'll be there in four hours but the jet's engine will pretty much be ready to explode by then since it wasn't made to handle such speed. Sorry Shego but I'm overriding the safety protocols as we speak." Ron announced.
"Don't worry Ron, you can afford a replacement." Shego joked.
"Ron, if it is necessary Shego and I will fight." Yori declared.
"As much as I'm against the idea, I'll leave it to you guys if it comes to it. Now record my following words in case the worst comes to pass." Ron said and began to speak.
Wade did just as Ron requested and got everyone to the lab then contacted Akito who was with his team outside of the estate and filled him in on what's to come.
Akito agreed with Ron's command that there will be no mercy and led his team back to the estate, telling Wade that under no circumstances were they allowed to leave the lab before a signal was given that it was safe.
Wade agreed and continued going over the security displays on his Neuro Linker. He set everything to record and broadcast as soon as the attack began to show the public that the government allowed it to happen without providing assistance. He even had recordings of the various attempts to contact the police and emergency services that were being stoned walled.
Wade sat to the side with Olivia by his side as the two went over every failsafes in place to ensure that no one made it to the lab. The twins were to the side using some of the equipment to make an invisible laser field that would cut intruders to pieces. The ladies, Wade's parents and Olivia's parents were to the side talking in hushed tones trying to keep their spirits up.
"We should be safe with all the security Wade put into this place." Jacob Load, Wade's dad said confidently.
"You're right Jacob, Wade's security should keep us safe." Gwen Load agreed.
"Oliver, sweetie you should sit down. You know how bad your heart gets under stress." Angela said.
"You're right, Angela." Oliver agreed before sitting by her side and when he noticed her trembling wrapped an arm around her.
Shego and Yori were going over the security feeds as Ann paced back and forth by the others.
"Ron is going to make it in time, he always does." Monique announced confidently.
"Monique's right, Ron will be here in time to kick their assess." Bonnie agreed. "All we have to do is stay calm and wait."
"Right! Ron has never let us down." Tara chimed in.
"Yeah!" Amy said.
Right then, Ann stops pacing and says. "It's dinner time and we all need something to eat, especially Shego and Yori. So who is willing to help me make some sandwiches?"
"I will." Gwen said.
"As will I." Angela offered.
"Great." Ann said and got right to it.
Not a half hour later everyone had eaten and the wait resumed. Soon after that the twins spoke. "We're done!"
"What's done?" Everyone asked.
"Laser..." Tim began.
"...Defense grid." Jim finished.
Then they stereo. "Now anything that gets through that door unannounced will be torn to pieces."
"Jim, Tim, why did you build something so dangerous? Do you know what you're saying?!" Ann demanded.
"Because to protect our family..." Jim began.
"...we will do what's necessary." Tim finished.
"Boys, you're not old enough to take on such responsibilities." Ann tried to soothe them.
"We're the men of house." Jim/Tim stereo.
"Is the device active?" Shego asked interrupting Ann's next words.
"Not yet, we were afraid..." Tim began.
"...to interrupt the estate's defenses." Jim finished.
"Good, show me how to turn it on and I'll be in charge of when it does." Shego declared.
"Shego, thank you." Ann said softly.
Nodding, Shego followed the twins back to the device. Not long after going over how to power on and off the device the security sensors picked up intruders.
"It's begun!" Yori says to the silent room.
Senor Senior Senior led his team as he casually strolled into Ron's estate. Stopping a few feet past the gates, he looked at Duff Killigan who brought them down with a few exploding golf balls. Then at Falsetto Jones who was calmly looking around.
"Monkey ninjas, find the pretender and bring him before me!" Monkey Fist shouted.
Falsetto Jones high pitched voice cut in. "You should have waited till we sweeped for traps, Mister Fiske."
"My Monkey ninjas are trained to avoid such things..." Monkey Fist was replying when a volley of tranquilizers peppered them.
"That may be so for automatic defenses but these are remote controlled." Falsetto Jones added.
"Gentlemen, allow me." Senor Senior Senior declared as he signaled the mercenary under him.
As the mercenary went about deactivating the estate's defenses that the remaining monkey ninja were uncovering, Killigan spoke up. "We could just blow everything up, laddie."
"That would defeat the purpose of our visit." Senor Senior Senior said. "We want young mister Stoppable's technology and for that we need him alive and well."
"Well, I shall get to work." Falsetto Jones declared as he walked away from them to begin his own infiltration.
Senor Senior Senior looked ahead and focused on his team working their way in. After the tranquilizers there were other non lethal means to deter them and that had an unintended effect of lowering their guard.
Seeing the shadow of Duff Killigan waving his golf club, Senor Senior Senior spoke. "Mister Killigan, if you're that bored why don't you blow our way to the entrace..." When he turned to the man, Senior saw Killigan clutching his throat and dropping to his knees, blood escaping his fingers. 'He's not going to make it.' Senior concluded. "Gentlemen, I believe caution is in order or we might join Mister Killigan in an early grave."
Senior's mercenaries rushed to his side to protect him and secure the perimeter. Monkey Fist disappeared into stealth to do his own thing and Falsetto Jones stayed radio silent even after a report was sent that Killigan was dead, his fate unknown.
"Gentlemen, drop the slow approach and clear our way into the house. We must secure young mister Stoppable before he has us join Mister Killigan." Senor Senior Senior ordered.
The mercenary were about to pepper the ground with explosives when Killigan's golf balls spread under their feet.
"Take cover!" Someone yelled as he tackled Senor Senior Senior to safety.
Soon after multiple explosions rocked the area and cries of agony started to spread. Senor Senior Senior wobbled to his feet, the man who tackled him crying as he looked at his missing legs. Senor Senior Senior was just thanking his luck for making it out unscathed when the cries of agony were reducing at an alarming rate.
"Ahh-" Abruptly a sound to his left is cut off and Senor Senior Senior swings his cane in the direction, revealing the sword from it's sheath.
Hearing a muffled grunt and drawing blood, Senior yells. "Enemies around us using some kind of stealth tech."
The mercenaries that had minor wounds sweeped the perimeter as a few pulled out thermal goggles hoping to even the playing field. Another cry of agony was silenced even though they were being careful making the battle hardened unit to become unsettled.
"Nothing is coming up on thermal!" One declared as another mercenary was silenced.
By this point the mercenaries and Senor Senior Senior were at the middle of the yard between the gate and the house, hoping Senior gave the signal to retreat.
Just then a voice was heard over the coms. "I'm inside the house, keep them distracted while I find the pretender!"
