Chapter 29 Whale Havoc

Moana and her friends and allies quickly gathered any extra wood and rope they had along with anything that they didn't really need that could be burn. Soon a makeshift tiny raft was built that was set down in the watery liquid and had a rope tied to it connected to Moana's boat. The group then went about trying to figure out which end was the front of Monstro. Wolf and Maui used their skills and knowledge about wind and currents to help figure out which way was the front of Monstro. The group then headed towards the front, where Ruby used her laser eyes and Chelsea used her trident to set the little raft on fire. Smoke rose up from the fire and Maui turned into a giant hawk and flew over to the fire flapping his wings hard at to help create more smoke to rise up inside Monstro's body and into his lungs.
Outside Monstro was swimming around, when he felt an odd alien filling in his body. At first it was just a minor annoyance that Monstro ignored, but then it got worse. Monstro felt a irritating itch and tickle in his lungs that was causing him a great deal of discomfort. The feel got so bad that Monstro was forced to surface to get air in a attempt to do away with the irritation and avoid gulping down massive amounts of sea water and drowning. Monstro reached the surface where he was able to breath better, but the tickling still remained and it started to affect Monstro's sinuses. The whale monster closed his eyes as he felt a sneeze coming on.
Inside Monstro the boats had been pushed on ahead and the crews could see the outside world through Monstro's open mouth. They could here Monstro about to sneeze and they all ducked down onto their decks and braced themselves for the mighty wind that Monstro was about to unleash. Monstro unleashed a mighty explosive sneeze of epic proportions.
"ACHOOOOOOOOO!"
Both Moana's boat and the Bad Guys' boat rocketed out of Monstro's mouth and skipped several times along the ocean. They were free!
"Nice thinking Moana!" Said Ruby.
"That was a amazing plan!" Said Ruby.
Moana smiled feeling good about her accomplishment.
"I hate to ruin the moment, but I don't think Monstro is too happy about what we did." Said Snake indicating Monstro who recovered from the sneeze and was angrily eyeing the two boats.
Monstro may not have been particularly super smart, but he recognized the two boats he had swallowed earlier and he quickly figured out that the crews of the boats were the ones who had caused him discomfort in order to escape his stomach. The little food was going to pay dearly for that and Monstro was going to be sure to chew his food up good and proper before swallowing to prevent himself from experiencing any more pain and discomfort from them. Monstro started swimming towards the boats.
"Monstro is coming this way! What are we going to do!?" Yelled Shark.
"We can't outrun him!" Said Webs.
"And we can't fight him!" Said Piranha.
"You might not be able to do those things, but I might be able to." Said Ruby before she jumped off Moana's boat and dive into the water.
Ruby swam and put a little distance between herself and the others before she triggered her giant kraken transformation and Rose out of the water to reveal her giant kraken self to everyone. Wolf and the rest of the Bad Guys stared at Ruby in awe, they knew about the transformation from Tentacular, but it was different to see the transformation in person. Ruby's transformation also had the benefit of momentarily stopping Monstro who was a little surprise to see a giant kraken before him. It had been a few hundred years since Monstro had last encountered a giant kraken. Ruby's giant kraken form was smaller then Monstro. Ruby turned to her friends and allies.
"You get as far away as you can. I'm the biggest thing out here right now, so Monstro will come after me. I'll try to buy you some time." Said Ruby putting on a brave face and raising her fists ready to fight and do whatever she could to keep Monstro off her friends' back.
Moana was stunned and fearful for Ruby's safety. Chelsea on the other hand just scowled a little and dove into the water turning her legs into a mermaid tail as she quickly swam over to Ruby's side.
"No. I'm not letting you fight that monster alone and possibly get yourself killed Ruby!" Said Chelsea looking up at Ruby.
"Chelsea, I can handle this. You need to help Moana and the others." Said Ruby looking down at Chelsea.
"No you can't handle this on your own. You need help. You and I are friends and I'm not just going to let you fight alone. I care about you Ruby, because you're one of my best friends in the whole world. We're going to fight this monster together like our ancestors did before the heart was stolen and we're going win this somehow." Said Chelsea with determination in her eyes.
Ruby was momentarily taken aback by this, but then she smiled and nodded her head.
"Alright let's do this!" Said Ruby.
The kraken and mermaid faced Monstro, who had began charging forward again. Moana and the others looked on in amazement as their boats sailed away from the scene. Chelsea fired a blast from her trident and Ruby fired a laser blast from her eyes. Both attacks struck the front of Monstro's head with a bright flash and loud explosion. Monstro reared his head back into the air letting out a roar of pain. The front of the Devil Whale's head was scarred and bleeding a bit. Monstro slammed his head into the water to cool down the wound a little bit, before he went back to charging with a look of rage and murderous intent in his eyes. Now the fight was personal to Monstro.
Monstro charged at Ruby and Chelsea and the two girls dove under the water forcing Monstro to dive under as well to go after them. The Devil Whale neared the kraken and the mermaid, who both dodged to the side. Ruby headed right and Chelsea headed left. Chelsea stabbed her trident into Monstro's left side, but she only got a little bit deep in the monster's flesh and drew some blood. Ruby hardened up her body and threw a punch into Monstro's right side and managed to bruise Monstro a little. Both attacks only enraged Monstro, who furiously thrashed around and forced Ruby and Chelsea to back away.
"Our attacks are barely phasing him!" Said Chelsea.
"We need a plan!" Said Ruby.
As Monstro was in the process of circling around to get ready for another charge, Chelsea spotted something in the distance on the surface. It appeared to be a medium size island that opened up like a cave.
"I got a idea, we lure Monstro in there, they'll be less room for him to maneuver around." Said Chelsea.
"That sounds good and if things really get bad we can try collapsing the place on him." Said Ruby.
With a plan made the Ruby and Chelsea swam as fast as they could towards the island with Monstro in hot pursuit. Ruby and Chelsea entered the cave and Monstro followed. The cave was narrow, but that fact barely phased Monstro as he chased after his prey. As the chase went on the cave became narrower and the ceiling began to close in a bit, but it wasn't quite touching the top of Monstro's head as he continued to chase after Ruby and Chelsea. The waterway in the cave became smaller and more shallower as the chase went on and it was becoming difficult for both Ruby and Monstro to travel. Monstro's belly was dragging across the cave and Ruby was being forced to walk on her tentacles as legs, which made her slower then when she was swimming. Ruby glanced back at Monstro, who was steadily closing the distance on her and realized she needed to shrink down to her humanoid form if she wanted to avoid being caught and devoured by Monstro's jaws.
"I'm going to have to go small!" Yelled Ruby to Chelsea before she began to shrink down.
Chelsea quickly swam over to Ruby and grabbed her and quickly swam further into the cave with Monstro chasing after them. A few more moments of chasing the little group entered a larger chamber that appeared to be a dead end. Monstro was battered and blistered from traveling through the cave, but he had a wicked gleam in his eyes as he finally focused on his prey. Chelsea backed away pulling Ruby along trying to find a exit. Ruby glanced up at the ceiling and saw dozens of large sharp looking stalagmites hanging up above, which gave her an idea.
"Looks like we're going to have to bring this place down." Said Ruby.
"Looks like it." Said Chelsea.
Monstro charged at the pair and Ruby fired her eye beams and Chelsea fired a blast from her trident. The blows struck the stalagmites above with a loud explosion that caused Monstro to pause as he looked up to see cracks spreading above along the ceiling. Then the stalagmites began to fall like spears stabbing Monstro! Monstro bellowed in pain as he thrashed around. More stalagmites fell along with huge chunks of the ceiling that slammed onto Monstro! The whole area was collapsing!
Ruby quickly activated her giant kraken form and armored up as she threw herself into Chelsea to shield her from the rubble.
Outside the cave Moana and the others watched in shock as a part of the island seemed to collapse in on itself. The crews headed to shore to see what happened. They saw a huge pile of rubble and wondered what happened. Then a section of the rubble began to rumble and shift and out came Ruby in her giant kraken form shaking herself off and unclenching her right fist to reveal Chelsea with her human legs completely unharmed as Ruby set her on the ground and changed back into her humanoid form. Ruby was a bit bruised and dirty, but looked fairly fine.
"You're both alive!" Cried Moana in relief as she ran to her friends and embraced them both.
Maui and the Bad Guys went over to the rubble and peered at it. They could just make out tiny bits of Monstro's body beneath the rubble. Piranha found a stick and poked a bit of the whale and got no response from the monster.
"Did those girls did what I think they did?" Asked Snake looking very shocked.
"They did." Said Wolf.
"They just slew Monstro the Devil Whale!" Said Webs.
"We just saw legends in the making. The world is going to know about this and I feel way more confident in the success of our quest." Said Maui in awe as he watched Moana, Ruby, and Chelsea with growing administration and interest.
A legendary feat had been preformed that day.
