Anakin and Padme found themselves surrounded by lightning and then they appeared in St. Louis at 8th and Pine. Anakin started to cross the street when a Ford suv raced towards him. Anakin reached forward and stopped the suv with the force. Its wheels spun in place. The driver a 30 old white man lowered the window and looked toward Anakin as he approached. He stopped his SUV.
"Watch where you are going you dumbass! "The driver shouted. "Double dumbass on you! "Anakin shouted back and then he stepped back on the curb with Padme. The SUV drove off. "How rude. "Padme said. "They don't have replusor Shift technology and they are using internal combustion engines. "Padme said as she coughed in the exhaust. "You must wait until the light turns green. "A woman in a business suit and skirt said. They headed south towards Market Street.
"What is that thing? An antenna? "Padme asked. "That is the gateway arch. Symbol of St. Louis's involvement of westward expansion. "The businesswoman said. "You must be from out of town. "She continued. "Yes, we are from out of town. "Padme replied. "St. Louis is this the name of this city? "Anakin asked. "St. Louis Missouri United States of America. "The businesswoman replied. "United States is that the name of this planet? "Anakin asked. "That is our country. This planet is earth. Are you that dumb? "The businesswoman said. "We just took a nasty jolt and are shaken up. "Padme replied. "Okay. I hope you get better. "The businesswoman said as she left. As they walked south, they saw Busch Stadium. "That is a stadium for some king of sport. "Anakin pointed to the stadium. A Blackhawk helicopter flew overhead. The pilot didn't notice Anakin and Padme, so he continued. They headed west along Market Street. Near the city park they were stopped by a group of five gang members.
"Nice necklace. Mind if I take it. "The gang leader an African minority said as he reached for Padme's japor snippet. Anakin moved to block him. "We don't want any trouble," the leader said as he pulled out a pocketknife. "Anakin watch out. "Padme warned. The other gang members pulled out semi auto pistols. Anakin ignited his lightsaber. 'You think that light show is going to stop us! "The gang leader laughed. "Take him! "The gang leader ordered! Anakin moved like blur stopping all the bullets and cutting through the leader's knife and their guns like butter. He stood before them again holding his lightsaber. "You want more? 'Anakin asked. "Let's get out of here! "The gang shouted as the ran away. Anakin deactivated his lightsaber. People around them clapped. "Thanks for taking care of those thugs. They have been causing trouble around here. "A man in a business suit said. "You're Welcome. "Anakin replied. "You look lost. "A man in a blues ship and blue jeans with dark blond hair said. "We are from out of town and are lost. "Anakin said. "We are hungry and have no money. "Padme added. "Come I will get you something to eat. "The man said. They followed him to McDonalds.
They sat inside the restaurant and had double cheeseburgers, fries and coke. "Where are you guys from? "The man asked. "Coruscant capital of the galactic republic. "Padme answered. "Are you for real? "The man asked. "We came from another galaxy. Something on this planet brought us here. "Padme replied. "Where is that? "The man asked. "In another galaxy. There was an accident, and we got brought here. "Padme explained. "Is he the father of your child? "The man asked. "We are married. "Padme replied. "So much anger and hate here. "Anakin said. "Lots of people are selfish around here. Too much entitlement and ranting on the internet. "The man said. They finished their meal and started to go their sperate ways. "I hope you find you way home guys. Nice meeting you. "The man said as he walked away. Anakin and Padme headed towards union station.
The gang members were talking to Dr Rather and the military men. "What happened to your guns? "Dr Rather asked. "It was that man with the laser sword and his wife. I tried to take her necklace and then he whipped out his laser sword like Thundarr the Barbarin. He stopped all our bullets with it and then sliced up our weapons. "The gang leader said. "What did they look like? "Dr Rather asked. "Humans like us. The woman was in some formal gown. She had beads around her shoulders and that necklace with the carving. He wore a brown outfit. They were not from around here. "The gang leader said. "Which way did they go? "Dr Rather asked. 'That way. "The gang leader pointed. Dr Rather got back in his hum vee. They were in a group of three hum vees which left to find Anakin and Padme.
