Author Notes: So, this chapter is mostly for plot purposes. However, it does introduce two characters from one of the many stories of Manfredi and Johnson. In the Episode Monkey Love when love potion #37 is mentioned, Skipper says that "they fell hard for those chinstrap sisters. They lost their hearts, along with 15 feet of intestine." Of course, if that really happened, they would not have survived that. So, the trick is explaining things in a way that they did. Luckily, Madagascar Wiki answers this for me saying: If they survived that, Skipper could've meant they broke their hearts emotionally after the sisters' betrayal, but the rest of their organs got rearranged from getting beaten up. Anyway, with this small insight and some fanart I brought the chinstrap sisters to life in this chapter. Hope you enjoy it.

(Back with Skipper)

He hadn't expected to adapt quite so easily, but to his surprise Skipper found the new role of the Wealthy Industrial; Lincoln Douglas to be quite comfortable. Douglas was like putting on a second skin; one which was troubling to say the least. Part of him wondered if he should be worried about this newfound discovery. However, regardless, goodbye was the knife wielding Jack and in his place was the ignorant money flaunting Doug.

He had left Vegas and was now in Sunny Los Angeles, of course he knew how dangerous it was to be pretending to be someone else only a state away, but it couldn't be helped. According to Northwind's Intel, all the funding for the criminal underworld came from LA. Which he guessed made since; countless others came to L.A. to make their dreams come true, so why not Villains?

What surprised him the most was how easy it was for him to get in, all he had to do was mentioned his loads of tuna and the next thing he knows he's on a yacht with an umbrella. drink in hand. The surprises didn't stop there. The yacht was full of humans serving the animals food on silver platters, like this was an everyday occurrence. He shouldn't have been surprised; the Dames in Denmark were also humans who seemed to already know that animals were more than what they seemed.

Still, it felt out of place all the same, not that he bothered to dwell on it for too long. He had a mission after all, find this Doc and hope he was really Blowhole, or at least someone who knew him.

It was strange how difficult this mission was turning out to be. The guy had a ton of resources so he must have connections somewhere. However, finding them was like trying to find a needle in a stack of… well needles.

"Well, that's not the expression one should have on a yacht." A sweet voice said.

Skipper, who was on the top deck, was currently leaning over the rail and looking out at the ocean. He had spent hours chatting it up with the other guest on the boat. Most were just there for the food, while others were hoping to speak with the owner soon. A wealthy Badger by the name of Damien. Skipper remembered the name from the recovered Northwind files. Damien Black was a no-good pirate who pillaged the seven seas. Stealing loot and trade goods from any human and nonhuman vessel that was unlucky enough to cross his path. Then he flaunted said riches, by pretending to be one of the upper class. Still, he had money and resources; it's possible he had at least heard of this Doc.

Skipper turns to see the owner of the voice and is taken aback to see not one but two female penguins that look so identical it was creepy. 'Trouble always comes in twos' The thought had just enough time to enter his mind before he's surrounded.

"What seems to be the trouble Mr.…." The second asked.

"Doug." Skipper answers. "And no trouble, just work."

"Well, if work causes that face, then it's obviously trouble." the first said, taking his face in her flippers. "Tell Ladi all about it."

"Ladi!" The second pushes her aside and puts a hand on his arm. "Hi, I'm Marci, sorry about that, my sister can be so pushy sometimes."

Skipper tried his best not to laugh, it's obvious these girls saw him as an easy mark. A rich man they could swindell some money out of. Well at least he knows now more than ever that he's playing the part right.

"Ladi, Marci, what have I told you?" A Black badger makes his way over, and Skipper can't believe his luck.

Damien Black was coming to his rescue!

"Oh Daimen, we're just making small talk." Ladi whines. "Weren't we Doug?"

Skipper puts on his best and charming smile. "Oh yeah the girls were just informing me about my obvious slump."

"See?!" Marci exclaimed.

"Off with you, both of you." Damien says in a warning tone.

The girls sigh but concede. "Fine, see you, Doug." Ladi giggles.

"See you soon." Marci declared in a very mischievous tone.

"Well, they were lovely." Skipper jokes.

"Oh no they ain't." Damien laughs. "Those two are trouble, I just saved your life, you can thank me now stranger."

Skipper gives him an intrigued look. "Names Doug, and it would be easier to thank you, if I knew exactly who you just saved me from."

Those be the Chinstrap Sisters." Damien answered ominously. "The deadliest and most dangerous treasure hunters in the underworld."

"Really? They look pretty dainty to me." Skipper teased.

"You must have a death wish; better hope they didn't hear that." Daiman says looking dead serious.

There is a moment of silence and then the two share a surprisingly hardy laugh. Okay maybe he should be worried about how easy this role was.

"So, what brings you to my neck of the woods." Damien asked. "Don't think I've ever seen you before."

"Boredom." Skipper answered vaguely. "Came to L.A. because I heard this was where all the action happens."

"Well, that depends on what you're looking for." Daimen says casually.

"Some new talent." Skipper answered openly. "Lately my investments have disappointed me."

"And you want to place your bets on a new horse in the race?" Damien shook his head. "Sounds risky."

"Usually I'd agree, but I heard this one took out an entire agency single handedly." Skipper said, dropping his bait. "Thought if it was true he'd be worth the risk."

"Ah yeah I heard of him." Damien confirmed. "Guy seemed to come out of nowhere and disappeared just as fast."

"So, you have no idea where I can find him?" Skipper sighs and takes a long sip of his drink. "Well, that's disappointing, and I was willing to pay for your trouble." He moves to leave.

"Oh, just hold up a bit." Damien exclaims, obviously grasping at straws. "I- I can find you some answers mate, but it's going to take time."

"Well, I'm only here for a week Mr. Black, and then I'm moving on." Skipper said, delivering his ultimatum.

"A week's gonna be a tight squeeze, but the girls and I will see what we can dig up." Damien assures him.

"Girls, you mean the sisters you sent out here to size me up for you?" Skipper asked.

Damien gave a sly smile. "Sharp one aye? I knew you would be, didn't even bring anything to steal."

"Do I look dumb enough to bring my tuna on a boat owned by a pirate?" Skipper laughs, brushing off his words.

"I can already tell I'm gonna like you." Daimen says. "Come back in a few days, I'll have your answers."

"You better, and I'd be snippy about it, I already have three others giving me similar promises." Skipper lied, leaving his drink at the rail, and moving to leave once more.

"I'll get it first." Damien vowed, eyes narrowing.

"We'll see." Skipper taunted and made his leave. He had what he needed. All he had to do was sit back and let the thief do his job.

He could only hope that said job would breed some results.

(Back with Rico)

His arrival at the SeaQuest Aquarium had not gone unnoticed, which wasn't a problem per-say. Rico wasn't paranoid of large crowds, but his speech impairment did make the spotlight a bit taxing at times. But at least Kowalski would be there, Rico was actually shocked about how much he missed his brother.

"Alright Axl." Dilan the zookeeper said to Rico as he let him loose into the habitat. "There's Brian, go get him."

Rico, or Axl as his new cover name dubbed him to be picked Kowalski out of the crowd of other penguins with ease and waddled right over to him.

The other penguins of the colony had started to come out of their shells thanks to Kowalski's efforts and everyone was excited to meet the newcomer.

The two waddled around each other in greeting and seeming satisfied with this, Dilan takes his leave.

"Alright guys play nice now." He said leaving.

"How was the trip?" Kowalski asked. "Make it okay?"

Rico goes into a fit of explaining how, no he did not make it okay and how he nearly loss Miss Perky due to a crazy little girl who just happened to see him with it and demanded that he give it to her. Not to mention his weapon stored in his gut kept making the metal detectors go off and the humans couldn't figure out why. Plus, they gave him this yucky medicine that made him really sleepy on the flight.

"Hu?" Manfredi looks confused for obvious reasons. "What is he saying?"

"Oh Manfredi…Johnson, this is my brother Axl, he has a speech impairment, it makes talking difficult." Kowalski explained while introducing them.

"Does it have anything to do with the scar on his face?" Johnson asked. "Cause that looks killer."

"Oh no." Kowalski answered truthfully. "He's always had the speech problem, as for the scar well…Axl has a bad habit of swallowing things he shouldn't. Like a knife…don't ask." He said before Johnson could do just that.

Of course this was true, shortly after the brothers learned of Rico's unique ability after swallowing Private's egg. Skipper had started using his brother as a mobile storage unit. Shortly after that they experimented with storing weapons. Thus, prompting Rico to swallow a knife. Having never tried before, he managed to nick his cheek which earned him his pretty impressive scar.

As if to prove his point Rico upchucks his Miss Perky doll causing Manfredi's and Johnson's eyes to grow as big as saucers.

"How?" Manfredi started to ask.

"Trust me, not even I know the answer to that and believe me." Kowalski exclaimed. "I have tried."

"It's like your own superpower." Johnson said. "Nice."

Rico smiled; he could tell he was going to like these two.

The rest of the day was spent showing Rico around and getting him settled into their new home.

"Cramped." Rico grunted as Kowalski showed him in. Manfredi and Johnson had said their goodbyes after the tour so the brothers could catch up.

"I know, a lot of it is for show but I think I need to up the ante." Kowalski states.

"Whatcha mean?" Rico asked.

"This Doc guy won't wait forever." Kowalski started to explain. "And I know Skipper is right, we should wait until we are all here for me to go. Still, if I don't do things to keep him interested, he may not show when we finally make our move."

"So whatcha thinking?" Rico asked the obvious question.

"Well, I'm a mad scientist, right?" Kowalski asked.

"Yah-yah." Rico nodded.

"Well, let's get mad!" He exclaimed as he started going through his instruments. "We still need to work out some kinks on the pain resistant helmet. Which means I need a test subject in order to measure how they react to various amounts of pain!"

Rico takes a step back, and rightfully so. Kowalski tended to get blind sighted when it came to his experiments. Blind-sighted to things like eating, sleeping and morals! "You gonna use me as a lab rat, aren't you?" Rico's words are gibberish, but Fortunately Kowalski understands clearly. Unfortunately, he is not troubled by the idea of using his own brother as a test subject. "What do I get out of it?"

"I'll let you blow something up." Kowalski says mischievously.

"Deal!" Rico is on the make-shift lab table so fast that Kowalski swears he sees double.

"A small explosion." Kowalski corrects himself. "Small Rico."

Rico rolls his eyes but nods all the same.

"Okay, got to get into character." Kowalski says getting his costume on.

Rico laughs grunting about how he looks like some dark wizard.

"Laugh if you will, but you got to wear one too." Kowalski hands him some sort of pirate outfit.

"Seriously?" Rico grunted.

"We can't risk Blowhole seeing this and recognizing you." Kowalski reminded him.

Rico relents and soon he is back on the table in full costume where Kowalski starts placing wires on his body.

"Now this device is for electroshock therapy." Kowalski explained. "I rigged it to a car battery to give it some extra juice."

Rico nods as his brother turns on the camera on his new laptop and the experiment begins.

In full mad scientist mode Kowalski explains his experiment shortly before starting. "Let the pain begin!" he exclaims, laughing maniacally.

Rico takes it like a champ for the most part and Kowalski was even able to get some good readings. All in all, it was a very productive and successful day for both the mission and one of his experiments. Which was a win/win in his book.

However, the two brothers unwittingly had an audience, one that did not agree with their definition of success.

"He's a mad scientist!" Johnson exclaimed, shocked. He and his brother had walked back over to Brian's to see if he and his brother wanted to join them in their usual outing for snacks in the main office after lights out. Only to see their new friend performing mad and obviously painful experiments on his brother!

Now the two had run away, back to their own home, stunned.

"There's no way, Brian is so nice." Manfredi shakes his head. "There has to be an explanation. "He says he likes to experiment on human technology, maybe this is how he does it. I mean Axl looked willing."

"Yeah, but you saw him." Johnson argued "He knows things; like how to break into the gift shop, and that move he showed us to climb into the window. That's not amateur hour."

"Wait, you think he's some kind of spy?" Manfredi asked.

"What does Buck Rutgut always say?" Johnson asked. "If the shoe fits…"

"Then he's wearing it." Manfredi finishes. "Still, there must be an explanation. Maybe if we just ask him." He suggested.

"And turn up missing when he realizes we've figured him out? Heck no!" Johnson shook his head.

"Then what do you suggest?" Manfredi asked.

"We do what Buck would do. We go on recon, gather intel and then attack when we have all the facts." Johnson answered.

"Or not attack if there's a logical explanation." Manfredi added.

"That too." Johnson agreed.

"Well, I hope it's the latter, because I like Brian and Axl, even if they're a bit off." Manfredi admitted.

Johnson nodded solemnly, he really liked them too, but they had to be sure. So, they would watch their new friends and wait for them to show them the truth.

-To Be Continued

Author's Notes: So, I know a few of you have asked about Rico's scar and I double checked to be sure, but Rico does not have it in the beginning of the movie when he is a baby chick, but he does later in the movie as an adult. And since he's always talked in gibberish since he was a baby (according to the movie). I decided to just explain it away with him swallowing something he shouldn't have. Hope you guys enjoyed all the fun Easter eggs.

Thanks for reading, and please review.
