Spider-Man A Brand New Genesis
ESKK: You know for all our hatred for Paul we seemed to forget that the TVA exists. You can all guess where this is going now let's get this story started.

(Start Unknown Room Peter Parker)
The first thing Peter saw when he woke up was the fact, he was sitting on a chair in what appeared to be an Interrogation Chair. "Ow, what happened?" Peter asked as he rubbed his head trying to make heads or tails of what had happened. He tried to recall everything leading up to this moment. "Ok I was visiting MJ and… Paul and then what else?" Peter asked trying to remember what had happened up to this point.
Just then the door to the room opened and from it a man in a suit and tie walked in with an annoyed yet frustrated look on his face. "Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man?" The young man asked with a calm tone suggesting he had been through the ringer.
"Peter Parker yes but…" Peter began but was cut off when the man spoke.
"Don't worry everyone here knows who you are and we're trying to help you and your timeline." The man said as he looked to Peter. "Sorry about the rough treatment but you and Ms. Watson did kind of put up a fight." The man said and then it all came back to Peter. Yeah, he met with MJ and Paul when a group of guys in armor showed up.
(Flashback prior to this meeting)
Paul opened the door when there was a knock after Peter paid them a visit. The next thing that happened the entire room was swarmed with men in armor moving in like the police as they surrounded Paul and kept Peter and MJ away from him.
"Paul Jeremiah Rabin you are under arrest by the Time Variance Authority for crimes against the Sacred Timeline." A man leading the group before looking to Peter and Mary Jane. "Mr. Parker and Ms. Watson you two need to come with us as well." The man said and in turn Peter grabbed a lamp.
"Yeah, how about no." Peter said but then just as MJ was about to grab the Jackpot bracelet the men pressed a switch and the next thing the knew they were moving at 1/10 of normal speed.
"MJ!" Paul called out but was caught by surprise when a collar was laced around his neck preventing him from moving any further.
(End Flashback Back with Peter)
"Ok I don't know who you nut jobs are but." Peter began before the man pressed a button and the cuffs fell off his hands.
"Follow me." The man said and in turn he began to guide Peter out of the room. Peter was surprised by this but followed the man to where he lead. Peter was confused and rightfully so as he was being lead out of the room. What the heck was going on around with his life?
(Later in the main room)
"Want coffee?" The man offered to Peter as he followed after the man. "We got coffee probably not that good but its office coffee." The man added but Peter turned him down.
"No thanks I'm fine." Peter said but the man shrugged.
"Suites yourself." He said as they got to what looked to be a control room. However what shocked Peter was the fact that MJ was there and so was Paul. But unlike Peter and MJ Paul was in cuffs and had what looked to be guards pointing at him like he was some deranged animal. Paul did not look happy about this. Plus, the glare Rabin was getting showed that no one here liked him for some reason.
"Now ladies and gentlemen we can get down to business." The man said as he then took a seat at the chair which rolled to his desk. The way this guy acted relaxed did not show on his face or in his eyes at how tired he was right now. "Welcome you three to the TVA short for the Time Variance Authority we're basically time cops." The man said before getting down to it. "I'm the chief of this precinct Alex Alonso." The man named Alex introduced to the group.
"Yeah, nice to meet you… uh why is Paul gagged?" Peter asked as he noticed that Paul was also gagged.
"To keep him from trying to worm his way out of this." Alex said calmly to the group before him. "Look my precinct is still new but the guy who came before me well… let's just say he's no longer part of the TVA for how he handled things and refusing to accept any criticism against how he operated things." Alex said getting down to why they were all here. "And needless to say, he has left me a shit mess to clean up around here." Alex said sounding like a guy who just took over a job that his predecessor had royally screwed up.
"Ok but why are we here?" Mary Jane asked and thus Alex got down to the reason.
"First so we can fix your timeline before it dies out." Alex said recalling what Mephisto had done. "You two may not remember this but you guys made a deal with Mephisto to save May Parker." Alex said but Peter was horrified by this. "Because of this your universe got reset resulting in this." Alex said gesturing to Paul like he wasn't even human. "You basically traded your marriage past present and future to Mephisto to save May which removed the birth of May 'Mayday,' Parker the one who was going to stick it sideways to Mephisto." Alex said much to the group shock.
"Wait but I would never have." Peter began but Alex cut him off.
"No, you wouldn't, neither of you would but Mephisto hit you both when you were at your weakest." Alex said before pressing a button to show everyone there the events of what happened. Needless to say, Peter and MJ was horrified at what they were seeing how their happy life had been destroyed by Mephisto and Norman.
"This… this can't be right." MJ gasped as she had no idea this had happened to them.
"I'm sorry." Alex sadly said and thus MJ fell into Peter's arms as she could barely stay standing from the horror of what she had unknowingly done.
"What have I done… my baby." Mary Jane teared up as she realized what was going on here. Paul was heard mumbling trying to say something, but the metal gag prevented it. Alex glared for a moment and then growled before pressing a button to undue the gag.
"Honey this is insane are we honestly going to believe what these nutjobs have to say?" Paul said causing Alex to glare at the man.
"Paul your not even supposed to exist like this, in most if not all continuities you were supposed to become a supervillain called Bankrupt an enemy of Spider-Man and later Spider-Girl." Alex snarled glaring at Paul for his role in the erasure of one of the only people who could defeat Mephisto. "Now shut up because their lost marriage has caused a domino effect." Alex said before getting down to it. "Your timeline is dying." Alex said to the shocked Peter and MJ.
"WHAT?!" Peter and MJ cried out shocked at what they just heard from Alex.
"Mayday was your Universes Anchor Being and when Mephisto erased her it caused the domino effect that will wipe out your universe." Alex said showing the images of their universe slowly dying and withering away.
"How long do we have?" Peter asked with concern over what would come from this.
"Most cases a couple thousand years but due to the strikes against your Timeline maybe five years at most if we can avoid any further damage." Alex said as Mary Jane realized Mephisto may have doomed their timeline and himself.
"How can we fix this?" MJ asked surprising Paul that she was buying into this. Peter was also in to try and save everyone because he was Spider-Man after all. "Can we bring back Mayday make sure she is born?" MJ asked offering up her womb if it meant they can save their timeline.
"No, the deadline is always passed and even then, we can't be sure if it will be the same Mayday." Alex said as he wanted to see Mayday be born but it might not work in what they are trying to do.
"There has to be something." Peter said as Paul began eying one of the TVA's devices for a moment.
"I wouldn't suggest this under normal circumstances normally the pencil pushers upstairs would have pruned or just let nature run its course but do to the severity of the situation I've been giving some leeway." Alex said and thus he leaned to his computer to show Logan and Deadpool. "We had an incident recently where a Deadpool variant took a Wolverine Variant from his timeline where the X-Men were all dead and brought him to his universe to be the new Anchor Being when his Logan died." Alex said showing a brief summary of events.
"So, we can just find a new Mayday to fill the Anchor Bring role?" MJ asked not sure how she felt about that.
"We thought about it and went through something of a screening process to find the right Mayday." Alex said but by the tone of his voice it did not end well. "Its like transplanting an organ not only will the potential Anchor Being need to be an Anchor Being he or she has to be compatible with the timeline." Alex said which meant more bad news. "We couldn't find a match." Alex said which brought everyone's spirits down.
"We can't just give up!" Peter snapped and in turn Alex smiled a bit.
"I don't plan on it." Alex said before moving on. "I've been looking at possible alternatives and I think I found one." Alex said before presenting the data to the group. "We have one possible match but she's not Mayday and at the moment she seems to be the only candidates who has the best shot." Alex said as the image showed a timeline that seemed… fractured strangely enough.
"Ok so let's find her and ask her to fill the role." MJ said hoping they can convince this girl to help whoever she may be.
"It might be an issue… in her timeline she was left in something of a… delicate state." Alex said pulling at his collar. "She may not even be entirely responsive but she's our best bet." Alex said showing why he brought Peter and MJ along. "Out of everyone Peter has the best chance at talking to her." Alex finished and in turn all eyes were on Peter. "Her situation is not ideal, so we need the hero with the most heart and that's you." Alex said as Peter thought it over for a moment. Sure, he wasn't overly fond of being rough handed, but these guys had good intentions all things considered.
With his decision made Peter began to take off his jacket. "Do you have my web shooters?" Peter asked and in turn Alex smiled seeing Spider-Man was on the case. It was fortunate that Peter keeps his suit under his regular clothing which allowed him to change quickly whenever he needed to. So once Spider-Man had taken the stage Peter was ready to move.
"Alright I'll send you and MJ to where she it but beyond that its going to be up to the two of you to convince her." Alex said before MJ looked at Paul with concern.
"What will happen to Paul?" Mary Jane asked worried for her… honestly, she didn't even know what Paul was to her at this point, but it was definitely not her boyfriend.
"Two options really, send him back to his own universe or to the Void." Alex said keeping options open on how to handle Paul and the mess he caused.
"What?!" Paul yelled in shock not wanting to go back to that hellscape universe.
"Don't like it, tough." Alex said making it clear Paul was not going to stay here any longer. "We'll be disposing of this as well it's not supposed to exist here." Alex said pulling out the Jackpot bracelet as Mary Jane had been wondering where that had vanished off to. Alex finished inputting the coordinates for the universe as the portal opened up. "Alright you two time to." Alex began until Paul surprised everyone here. Peter's spider sense went off and just as it did Paul charged through the TFA agents around him and grabbed Alex.
"Nobody move!" Paul yelled with his cuffs around Alex's neck after grabbing the jackpot bracelet. "I'm not about to let some asshole in a suit tell me what I can and can't have and I sure as hell won't let him tell me that my existence is a mistake!" Paul yelled clearly acting like a cornered animal.
"Huh I was wondering when you'd start to turn, Bankrupt." Alex said causing Paul to pull at the chain choking the man. "I guess I started your villain origin story Bankrupt." Alex gurgled with a smirk.
"I AM NOT BANKRUPT!" Paul snapped glaring at the time cop. Since he had a hostage no one made any move to take Paul out. However, Alex was calm about it as he focused his mind and elbowed Paul before slamming him against the desk. Alex freed himself and threw Paul to the ground in front of the portal out of here. Acting fast Paul ran through before the TVA could stop him.
"NO!" Everyone called out but alas Paul escaped.
"Oh shit." Alex coughed as he got back up.
"Where did he go?" MJ asked worried about this.
"To where the Anchor Being is." Alex said knowing they were not running out of time. "If Paul reaches the Anchor Being first then there is no telling what he'll do." Alex said making it clear that they had to find the Anchor Being before Paul does.
"MJ stay here." Peter said ready to jump in.
"Like hell I'm going in with you!" MJ defended refusing to let Peter go it alone.
"MJ please if that entire fiasco showed anything Paul is getting dangerous more so since he took the Jackpot bracelet." Peter said refusing to let Mary Jane get hurt.
"If the Anchor Being is really in a bad state, then someone needs to keep her away from Paul when you can't." MJ said and in turn Alex stepped in.
"Look both of you go I brought you both in for this." Alex said making it clear this would be a team effort between the two. "Now go!" Alex ordered and with no other means to argue the couple ran in to stop Paul and find and save the Anchor Being. Once they were gone Alex sighed to this turn of events. "Send out an APB for Paul Jeremiah Rabin we're on the clock people so get it done." Alex said knowing they had to do everything they could to stop Paul and save Peter's universe. "Thank god Nick is in the Void now." Alex said as he knew if Nick were here, he'd be fighting to defend Paul almost religiously.
(Meanwhile with Peter and MJ)
The pair came through the portal and found themselves in a sight that they did not want to see. It was New York City but it was in ruins or something close to it. Cars laid abandoned the streets were empty, and from the damages a battle took place here. What was to note was the fact that across the sidewalks were discarded pieces of clothing and some unknown liquid. It was the same inside the cars like the people inside were turned into it.
"What happened here?" MJ asked getting flashbacks to that other world.
"I don't know." Peter said with concern knowing that the Anchor Being could be anywhere in the city now.
"He sent us to the closest spot to her location we better start looking." Peter said as he offered MJ his hand. Mary Jane nodded and jumping into Peters back before Peter jump onto the wall and began to climb. New York was a big place, but the Anchor Being could be anywhere right now. Once Peter and MJ reached the top of the building MJ switched to Peters arms and in turn, he began to web swing so they can try and find the Anchor Being… assuming that she was still alive out here.
(Meanwhile in a nearby apartment)
A young girl in a school uniform laid on her side as she seemed almost incoherent oddly enough. In her ears were a pair of earbuds that was playing the same track she had been listening to for some time now. In one of her hands the MP3 Player rested as she had the song in question replaying on loop. Laying there she felt tired, defeated, and most of all lost.
'Everyone is gone… it's all my fault.' She mentally said unable to even find her voice to speak with. Upon in the corner of her ceiling a spiders nest was made as it had been set up by and to catch prey for her friend. In said wed a small spider was seen watching the girl with a sad aura around it showing that it was feeling her feelings.
She wanted to die, she wanted it all to end… but she didn't have the strength or will to end it all. If she got hungry, she got food if she got thirsty, she drank water. Speaking of food, she felt the urge for food call and thus she rose from her bed with the bags under her eyes showing the state she was in. Walking through the apartment she went through the regular traditions she was known for. A pot of hot water boiling a trip to the bathroom, and finally a meal of instant noodles to start her day.
She went about her days in similar ways eating and what not. Walking through the room she grabbed her smart phone, and it was filled with voice mail from those who were now gone. She picked a voice mail by random and played it for her own uses. "Peni! Peni! Something is going on everyone is vanishing I'm scared please answer the phone tell me your… oh my god." The voice spoke and in turn the call ended causing Peni to sigh sadly at the messages end.
Peni looked at her currently supplies and saw she needed more. Grabbing a weapons and some gear to protect herself from the elements she stepped out. The Spider followed her knowing he would be needed in case something happened beyond Peni's control.
(Later outside of the building)
Peni stepped out of the building and was making her way through the empty streets of Manhattan. Walking through the silent streets Penny saw that already nature was starting the process of retaking the city. Everyone human being on Earth was gone so there was no humans to keep the green outside of the city. As she left the building something rose from the tarp next to the door revealing a red mech suit that had the motif of a spider. Standing tall it also shown to have suffered wear and tear from living out in this wasteland of silence. The girl looked at it but then just started walking with said mech following her.
Peni began to make her way to the shopping district hoping to find some supplies that had been left behind. If not, she would likely have to hunt down animals for her food going forward. The journey was not a long one as she instantly began her search for any supplies she can scavenge up. Peni was a shadow of her former self a ghost just waiting for her end.
She looked around the aisles for anything useful from medical supplies to any preserved food. Peni looked for anything of use and the things she found were loaded into her bag to bring home later. Peni kept walking as she saw the empty streets recognizing it as her path for when she commuted to school. For a moment she saw phantoms of her old life people like her going about their days only to be reminded they no longer exist.
Leaving the area Peni kept walking when all of a sudden, the ground began to shake. An Earthquake by the looks of it. Peni panicked as she knew the tremor was a large one as her robot had to hold her to keep her from falling. Once the tremor eventually stopped Peni sighed a bit before she was freed.
"Thank you… Sp/dr." Peni said with a sad smile on her face. Just then she gasped when her spider sense went off and with it, she saw a sign was about to fall over. Seeing this Sp/dr acted and grabbed the sign before it could land on them. Peni move out of the way of it but in doing so she was surprised when an unstable bit of a wall began to fall over. Peni saw how big this was going to be and for once she didn't move. She closed her eyes accepting her fate only for something to move in.
"LOOK OUT!" Came a new voice and thus Peni gasped as she was suddenly grabbed and lifted away.
Peni had her eyes closed for a moment as she was airborne. She then felt a soft landing on the ground so opening her eyes Peni saw to her shock a man in red and blue spandex holding her. "Are you ok?" The man asked but before Peni could answer she felt her spider-sense going off around this man.
"Wow." The pair said as it wasn't a warning of danger… it was like when a spider sensed another spider.
"Your… like me." Peni said but then stepped back trying to ignore it. "No wait your not real this isn't real your not real." Peni said trying to tell herself that this other guy was a figment of her imagination isolation driver her further down her own insanity.
"Wow easy there we're real." The man said and thus Peni looked at the spandex man with a glare wanting proof.
"Peter!" A new voice called out and thus from nearby Peni and the man called Peter looked and saw the redhead approaching them with Sp/dr.
"Oh no another hallucination." Peni said stumbling back as she tried to ignore it. "Sp/dr make them go away make it stop!" Peni yelled wanting to get these people out of her head. The robot controlled by the spider tilted its head and informed Peni that he sees them. This made Peni's eyes widen in shock when she heard the mental message from Sp/dr. "They're real?" Peni asked as she looked to Peter and the woman with him.
Carefully and almost hesitantly reaching out Peni touched Peter and felt the fabric of his outfit. Peni went wide eyed in shock and horror before tears began to take form. "Your… I'm not the last one." Peni cried and unable to hold back her tears Peni grabbed Peter in a hug and cried into his chest.
Peter was caught off guard by this as all he could do was hug the girl who clearly needed one. Rubbing her back Peter even behind the mask of Spider-Man was not happy with this. Whatever this girl had gone through he feared may have been connected to why she was chosen as an anchor being and why he and MJ haven't found another human since they had arrived here. But that begged to question over what happened to Paul.
(Scene Break over with Paul)
It took Paul a good hour to break out of his cuffs by smashing it against some rocks. It was hard but he managed to free himself regardless. At the moment he was wearing the Jackpot bracelet trying to find Peter and MJ. If he were lucky, he could get the portal device they may have and get himself out of here. This place was giving him some bad memories of his world and his kids.
Paul knew he was not a supervillain he was sure as hell never going to become one. Him the enemy of Spider-Man and his daughter, the villain Bankrupt? That was stupid that Alex guy has no clue of what he was talking about. He should consider contacting his higher ups but at the moment he might be a fugitive right now. Exploring the destroyed city Paul had come across a lone girl with a spider mech following her around. She was the only human around and recalling what was said about the Anchor being.
Maybe he can convince her to help him out but then again, he could try to grab her as well. She was just a kid and was no MJ which was why Paul needed that remote to get himself out. If the multiverse was a thing there was likely hundreds no thousands of other MJ's out there. He lost this one by the looks of it, but he kept his options open. So, when he saw the girl enter a destroyed store Paul had saw Spider-Man in the distance. Acting fast Paul had used the bracelet to give himself a power and that was the power to cause earthquakes.
So, when the girl came out Paul activated the power and caused the sign to fall over. The robot suit caught the sign and saved the girl much tohis annoyance. It was then followed by bringing the wall down and when Paul saw she didn't try to move or run he saw someone he could use. But then Peter showed up and saved her life and when Paul saw her panic at possibly hallucinating Peter and MJ Paul knew he had a tool he could use. No, an ally a tool would imply vile intent on his part. He'll just grab the girl get them both out of this hellscape to a world with an unattached MJ and start from there.
If Paul played his cards right, he can, pass the girl off as his daughter adoptive or biological if need be. She was young enough to fit the role for him to survive in a new timeline away from the TVA and their operations.
