"Come on, what did dad tell you about eating your carrots?" Dox asks, trying to persuade Midnight to take some carrots from the bowl he just pushed across the table to her.

"I'm not having any," She pouts, crossing her arms over her chest. "He said they are good for ya, but they just leave a bad tast,"

Dox opens his mouth before closing it again and responding, "Ok, I'll give ya that, but they are still good for your eyes."

"No," Midnight responds, shaking her head side to side, causing her bangs to fall onto her eyes and blind her. "Ah! I can't see!" She yells, giggling as she brushes the bangs back into place. Dox rolls his eyes as he sneakily places carrots onto her plate with his magic before talking the bowl and passing across a sandwich.

Midnight grabs the sandwich as a nock from the door rings out, causing Dox to freeze up. His heart pounds against his chest before he takes a deep breath to calm it down.

"Stay here," Dox says, getting off the chair and walking over to the door before opening it up. Midnight slides off her chair and walks over behind Dox. Standing at the door step is Princess Twilight Sparkel smiling down at the pair.

"Princess!" Midnight yells, scarring Dox before he slowly shakes his head. He turns back to Twilight before asking,

"What are you doing here Princess?"

"I've got some really good news for you two," Twilight smiles. "But it's easer to show you then to say it," Twilight says, gesturing for them to follow as she turns around and walks down the side walk. Dox and Midnight looks at each other before closing the door and running after her.

(Time Skip)

"If it's good news then why are we here?" Dox asks as the three walk up the steps into the hospital Acid Flask was being held for the past few months.

"You'll see," Twilight smiles, already knowing what's up.

"Maybe Dads better!?" Midnight says, jumping into the air and hovering with excitement before being brought back down by gravity.

"Don't get your hopes up," Dox responds, already preparing himself for the worst. "He might not be that much better," He says as the three enter into the main lobby.

"Oh he's better all right," Twilight responds as she looks around the slightly busy room. Dox looks up at Twilight with a confused look on his face.

"What do you mean?"

"There you are," She wispears, spotting who she was looking for. Dox fallows her gaze as best he can until he spots him to. His eyes widean in surprise to see Acid Flask, his dad, standing in front of the desk talking to a nurse on the other side.

Acid's furr was the worst looking part of him. His hair has flattened a bit by the extra weight it had gained by not being trimmed, causing it to fall down and around his neck, and a few hairs have gone gray. His dark red fur somehow has gone a bit more mute like his orange eyes that still sparkle a bit. His furr is very shaggy and need a trimming.

"And here is the antidepressant," The mare says, sliding over an orange pill bottle to Acid who catches it in his hoof.

"Thanks," Acid says with a smile before two loud screams of delight ring out from his left.

"DAD!" Acid's ears snap towards the sound of his kids. A smile quickly forms that was much more real then the last one as his eyes widen in surprise. He quickly turns his head to see Dox and Midnight running at him, Midnight flying in the air next to Dox. Acid quickly puts the pill bottle down on the counter before sitting down in time as Dox and Midnight nearly push him over.

"I missed you dad," Midnight says, hugging his neck as Dox hugs his body. Acid wraps an arm around both of them and squezes them against his body.

"We missed you," Dox clarifies, looking up at Acid.

"I missed you two too," Acid says, barring his face in between the two as he hugs them tighter.

"Squeezing not breathing," Midnight chokes out before Acid lightens the hug.

"I don't think that was grammatically correct," Dox responds with a chuckle.

"I don't think your grammatically correct," Acid says, gently noogieing Dox's head.

"Hey!" Dox yells, laughing as he swats Acid's hoof away from his head. Twilight watching on with a big smile.

Midnight pushes away and hovers in front of Acid with her arms out stretched before saying, "Look dad! I can fly!"

"Holly Eckert Lilith Lake!" Acid says with a big goofy smile. "That's amazing Midnight!" He says, a few tears forming in his eyes. "Did Dox teach you?" He asks, wiping the tears away.

"Ya!" Midnight says, spreading her arms out wider before going in for another hug. She hugs his neck as hard as she can while nuzzling into his head.

"Better then me teaching you," Acid laghs, hugging back while pulling Dox back into the hug. Dox just lets himself get pulled in as tears form in his eyes. He hugs Acid tight as tears run down his cheeks and onto Acid's fur.

"Please, never do that again," Dox pleads, barring his face into his chest.

"Not planning on it," Acid wispears into his ear before letting the two go and standing up. Dox fallowing suit as Midnight drops back to the ground. "Come on you two, let's go home," Acid says before grabbing the pill bottle and heading for the door with Midnight and Dox beside him the entire way. The family walks out of the hospital with big smiles on their faces and laughing, totally forgetting about Twilight watching them with a big smile and tears in her eyes.
